(this is perhaps a cold and an obvious thought but)

each sibling has a different "function" in the family:

Raph: protects others

Leo: gets/talks them out of trouble, confronts Splinter (based on turtle tots snippets we saw) (very face-man of him)

Donnie: provides resources and equipment, confronts Splinter as well

Mikey: helps resolute conflicts, either as Doctor Delicate Touch, Doctor Rude or Doctor Feelings

(i mean i know their roles have more nuance than that but generally it's something amongst those lines?

side-note: i don't really subscribe to how people often portray Mikey but that also means i'm kinda... lost about his characterization ngl... like- ok. im not about to pin him as The Family Therapist i don't think it's that simple but- i guess resolving conflicts (however he can) IS his role, kinda?

like. if situation calls for roughing someone up (the bullhop situation) mikey's gonna do it, if it calls for a more technical ''by the books'' angle (the donnie & shelldon situation) then he's gonna try to resolve the conflict appropriately? although maybe it's not really a conflict resolution but more like... calling out some else's bullshit when he's had enough and he just does so however he wants without worrying about consequences?

i must admit of all the turtles i get mikey the least so feel free to correct me, i'm trying so hard here fgdjskfd)

got a really gnarly corneal abrasion yesterday and i keep asking if people wants to see it........ and it made me think of a certain group of really stupid teenagers.....

also dont worry i have been at the ER and ive gotten a at home treatments and gonna have checkups, its a LOT less painless now so hopefully i'll recover well :)

I drew this like forever ago and posted it on insta, but I have nothing to post here and want to start so this is my (hopefully) successful revival. I love rottmnt and Raph is my absolute favorite, this scene always gets me. The sound design, the brief frames of flashbacks to the shredder fight, the fact you can FEEL him finally breaking under all the pressure.

This guy has so much trauma someone help him. And don’t even get me STARTED on the movie. I might post some more stuff about that (but don’t hold me accountable because I am bad at posting.)
