while I don’t agree with that referring to men in their 30s-early 40s as “old man yaoi”, I UNDERSTAND why many people who primarily consume honest-to-goodness BL manga are quicker to call it that, because there is just such poor representation for men that aren’t hairless dehydrated 20-something twunks. They’re wrong, but I get why it happens.

I also understand that “middle-aged yaoi” isn’t as fun to say as “old man yaoi”, even when it’s more technically accurate.

So I would like to propose new vocabulary: Grown Ass Yaoi. yaoi that’s grown ass men. they’re not old but they’re not young adults either. you get me? Grown Ass Yaoi

I love how Shinobu gets all excited in the Monster Hunter and starts to yap a lot about the series. I find it interesting how she tries to hide a part of this because It's embarrassing, (and especially because she didn't want others to think about her less) but Saki hearing about it makes her intrigued and wanting to hear more about Monster Hunter. I want to see more of Yapper Shinobu

Plus, Shinobu has shown to be fixated a lot on franchises before. In the Magical DJ event, Shinobu (along with Nagisa and Miiko) started to pick up on the anime due to how interesting Hiiro makes it out to be. She binge-watched it and apparently It made her tear up. In the X Goddess Terrace card, we can see Shinobu being fixated on it and researching a lot about it (especially Akane). It led Shinobu to visit a live house because the live house was modeled after a setting in the show.

Also the manager clocked her yapper side immediately 😭
