Hey full offense but if your excuse for not including Duke as Bruce's son and in Batkids/Batboys/Robins lineups is 'he already has parents' and you 'don't want to erase them',maybe you should consider Duke's parents literally can't take care of him and that you can have multiple parental figures.......and that Bruce and Duke have literally refered to eachother as father and son in the comics and even official arts frame them that way too.Duke was bullied all the time,kicked out of multiple schools,had a hard time making friends and keeping them too,was targeted by the cops AS A MINOR(which he still is!!!!),lost his parents or rather his parents lost their sanity to The Joker and now he's expected to self-rely when older and less good people were given more grace and care than him.I think y'all should drop the respectability politics and just let the black kid have a dad💀If DC stands for 'Disregard Canon',then DC also stands for 'Duke Counts'

I just imagine dick having a whole dance battle with the other batkids around duke in this scenario and after a while some villains notice and decide what the hell and join in on the dance battle which eventually snow balls into Harley and dick having an aggressive contest to see who's the better gymnest between them and they don't even stop when the justice league appears

They only stop when Bruce threatens to toss Harley in jail just for annoying him on this specific day and Harley is just like you can't do that I've done no crimes tonight and Bruce is like knowing you you've done something so you really want me to start investigating and seeing what comes up

Harley then whips to Nightwing and is like this isn't over you haven't won

And the batkids are just trying not to laugh

At some point the Bat Signal breaks. This leads to Duke standing on the roof, directing/projecting light into the sky (idk how his powers work) while one of the other kids stands in front and strikes ridiculous poses until Batman finally shows up just to stop them.

They got in trouble once because they didn’t know the JLA was in town for something, and they needed Batman’s credit card for late night snacks, and summoned him by doing a conga line around Duke until Batman showed up with JLA in tow, looking extremely tired and done with his children.

Danny adopts himself

It's a common joke in Gotham that Bruce Wayne will adopt any black-haired and blue-eyed traumatized boy he finds. So much so that even he leans into it. But he was completely shocked when Damian confronts him about having a new brother that he did not want.

Bruce could barely get a word in when the rest of the family arrived upset that they weren't told about getting another sibling after Damian texted the family group chat (for once).

Damian had encountered a boy around Drake's age moving stuff into what was an empty room. The room was now furnished top to bottom with glowing green lights, tapestries of stars, random artifacts, several telescopes, and model rockets.

He knew the moment he saw the black hair and blue eyes that his father had taken in another ward.

Apparently Bruce was the last the know about his new "son" who was currently rearranging furniture and asking to help Alfred with dinner.

Said dinner was an uncomfortable as Bruce was grilled by his kids on his addiction to adoption. Simultaneously they tried to get to know the new addition to the family.

It was easy to see that Damian didn't like Danny but it was equally easy to see that Danny could cow the boy like a border collie on a lamb. When Damian thew a dagger the teen caught it with one hand as it passed his face and then slid it across the table back to Damian.

"Try again. " Danny said "And this time don't aim to miss on purpose. If you want me dead you need to do better."

Damian put the knife away and huffed.

Tim and Danny hit it off almost instantly. The way they were able to bounce their thoughts back and forth made Tim believe that he found an equal.

Danny was able to understand Cassie immediately with just look in eachothers eyes like he was reading her mind but not in a creepy way.

Jason of course noticed the strange energy in the air around the kid. It was soothing. Like lavender wafting in the air. Well lavender for everyone else for him it was like opium. His eyes felt heavy like he had eaten a handful of poppy seeds. At the same time he felt full, like he had eating a full meal after starving for a week.

Whatever it is Damian was feeling it too. The demon looked even more his age as he rubbed his eyes and yawned. The crease in his brow gone.

Duke on the other hand was more on edge as his eyes flickered towards Danny before looking away. He had something he wanted to ask about the glowing boy but since no one can see it or just isn't saying anything he will keep quiet for now.

Next was Barbara who teased the new kid.

"So how do you like your new family? Ready to be the new robin?" She asked.

"Im robin." Damian mumbled groggily.

The others were waiting for Damian to finally fall asleep and glared at one another in a challenge to be the one to pick up Damian and put him to bed. Dick was winning.

Speaking of Dick, as expected he was off the wall excited to learn more about his new little brother. He wanted the full story as to why Bruce took him in. He could almost certainly guess it was because of a tragic situation and Dick was already ready to handle it as the greatest big brother ever and he wasn't sharing the title no matter what Barbara said. Even if she was Stephanie's favorite.

Bruce cleared his throat and the table went silent. "So, Danny. Where exactly did you come from? Why are you here? And how did you know who I am?"

Everyone went white. Did they all just risk their identities believing that Danny was a new Robin? Why didn't Bruce say something? Not even a signal for the protocol they would use.

Danny frowned looking a bit hurt.

"What do you mean, Bruce? You said you owed me. You said you'd give me anything I wanted if saved your son. I even helped you get back home when you got lost in time." Danny huffed feeling betrayed.

The table went silent.

Bruce made a few calculations in his brain before something must have come to mind. "I lost my memory for a bit so I need a bit of proof."

Danny placed a batarang on the table. The batarang had an engraving on it in a code that only Bruce knew.

"You told me to show this to Alfred when I came. We had a deal, Bruce. You promised me whatever I wanted." Danny huffed clearly insulted.

Just like Danny had said the code was the one Bruce had made. However this code wasn't a promise to grant a favor but to welcome someone new to the family. Past Bruce must have had plans to take the boy in but told Danny something else to lure him here.

Bruce recognized that everyone was right and he has a problem now that he's looking at it like this.

Thinking about how some modern comics writers (Tom Taylor) write the batfam and why it doesn't sit right (this post centers around the robins because of their training but some of that reflexion would definitely fit for Barbara and Cass as well.)

The thing with writing a team of people with similar training and strength is you can't take the easy route of "well this one is the smart one! And this one is the flexible one! And this one is the strong one!" .... which is obviously reductive to all of their characters. Obviously, they have interpersonal differences; Dick, being raised as an acrobat, is the most flexible, but that doesn't mean that every single one of these little fuckers doesn't like to bend, twist and somersault to dodge bullets like an annoying worm on a string being flung around in the sky. They're Robins. Obviously, Jason is the bulkiest, but that doesn't mean they don't all go through hardcore conditioning -Tim is only considered "frail" when you put him between Bruce and Jason, this guy would bench-press you any day, come on. (And DC editorial can lie to us about the girls' weights and heights and make them at the limit of ed-territory even though they're doing parkour and hardcore martial arts every day but I know the truth, Steph's strong as hell, homegirl's got bazooka-level guns). Obviously Damian was raised in the League and is proficient in a bunch of martial arts, but they all received training from a bunch of different experts, including, for all of them, the same guy (that they are all so normal and chill about.) Obviously, Tim is the one who used detective work to figure out everyone's identity but you're kidding yourself if you think he's the only intelligent/detective one amongst the robins. Being smart and a detective is a defining part of all of their characterization, and so is being a leader and a strategist. And then of course with that kind of simplified characterization we end up with Steph being "the girl robin" and Damian "the assassin one/stabby one" and Duke "the meta one" (yes this post counts Duke as a Robin. They trained him and also just cause I wanted to. I love him.)

And even if we make an effort and try to dissect it "this one is the detective smart one! And this one is the strategist! and this one is smart in a more techy-way! And this one is the leader! And this one- hey what kind of intelligence do we have left..." obviously doesn't work either. Duke was a exhilarating strategist in WaR already, Jason's strategic work in UTH and detective in Lost Days is thrilling, Damian is a fucking child surgeon (do I need to develop how intelligent that kid is), Dick was the first leader of the Titans and is always doing detective work like, that's an inherent part of his character, Duke was a cute-ass baby doing puzzles and planning to defeat the Riddler himself, Steph literally became Spoiler to stop Cluemaster (girl knows to solve riddles that would make Nygma shit his pants), they've almost all lead a team at some point, etc, etc. All of this is great and cool and a character being great doesn't take away from the skills of another character! Stark contrasts cannot possibly be the only interesting team dynamics, especially since they already have their own teams of contrasting skillset and personalities.

Imo, best robin team-up dynamics is them stepping on eachother's toes with their plans, getting into rapid-fire brainstorming sessions where they're all finishing eachother's sentences, reaching a conclusion and saying it out loud at the same time, one of them having a crazy ass plan and suggesting it to the other and the other saying "i like the way you think" to that person who thinks exactly like them, getting mad at eachother for being stubborn while also being a stubborn little shit, pulling complicated acrobatics together, and just thriving solving a good old complicated mystery with other people who are just as competent and enthusiastic about detective work as them but not a carbon copy, with extremely specific strength and weaknesses and quirks (like Dick's ability to recognise heroin by putting it in his mouth, Damian's uncanny voice imitation ability, etc.)

Of course, this doesn't even begin to touch the family drama, but honestly we get so much family drama angst with no real consequence rn, I'd really love just a robin team-up, relatively low-stakes (aka nothing taking over the city, the world, no past traumas unearthed to haunt them or parental abuse or secret cults etc etc.) Just a very elaborate murder mystery and a good excuse for all the robins to be there and a story that works with their similarities and their potential (both comedic and in terms of plot) rather than erasing it. It would be so much fun!

It’s ironic how Duke “better at hiding his shenanigans” is a trope when his narrative focuses the most on his daytime image and actions being broadcasted to social media for all to judge. Anything Duke does is probably monitored and recorded down. If anyone knows about public images being tarnished, it’s being branded as “irresponsible children apart of a gang” Duke. Plus he’s like a lighthouse beacon how sneaky can he be

Ch.2 The MOTHERFUCKER Of All Time

The GODDAMN Joker was attacking the GODDAMN ammusement park in the middle of the GODDAMN school holidays! So Duke was a teensy bit pissed.

Today was supposed to be fun! Everyone, including Tim and Alfred, had made sure to clean up their scheduals enough for a family outing, and they managed to pull steph along as well!

Everything was going well so far too! Sure, Damian couldn't stop scoffing at this couple yelling 'Ghost!' All the time, and Tim and Jason were trying to one-up eachother at all the carnival games, (before being absoloutley demolished by cass), but it was fun! They Were having fun.

And then the motherfucker of all time hijacked the roller coaster.

Alfred had managed to sneak everyone's costumes into their day packs, probably foreseeing something going wrong. Either way, this meant that everyone could sneak away and change to fight the Joker.

After getting changed, Signal charged towards the announcer's booth, running into Nightwing on the way. Nightwing who looked pale and terrified. "B went ahead to the roller coaster!" Nightwing called. Ah, Signal's question must've been obvious.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Signal called back,

"Not as a civillian! He went in before it got hijacked!"

"Fuck!"

"Red, Orphan, and I are en route to the rollercoaster" Red Hood interupted "Robin's on his way to the announcer booth, and Spoiler is on evac duty,"

"Roger," Nightwing grappeled past a group escaping one of the rides, "Signal and I will randevous with robin. B is among the civillians on the roller coaster."

"Understood. We'll be in touch once the civvies are safe. Over and Out."

The announcer booth was surrounded by goons, who were taken care of easily enough. (Thank you, pepper spray bottles of sleeping gas!) Leaving the door wide open. Nightwing and Signal crept in, the only hint of their (re: Signal's) presence was the lights dimming and the shadows growing.

The Joker had set himself in the middle of the moniter room. He'd somehow found the time to inflate an air matress and was now lying down, eating popcorn, and kicking his legs like a schoolchild.

"Oh boo!" The Joker cried as the rollercoaster judded to a stop "they didn't even get halfway up! This show sucks!"

Robin took this moment to reveal himself both to his brothers and the Joker by attempting to skewer the latter through the arm. "Oh hi, little Robin!" Joker cackled as Robin missed "Come to watch the show? Though," he looked at where Robin's sword had punctured his matress "That was really rude. Guess I can kill you now!"

As Joker pulled out a gun to shoot at Robin, Signal manipulated the light of the moniters to blind him. Nightwing's escrima crackled into his exposed back, and he was down.

Something clattered out of the Joker's hands along with the gun. Signal had a closer look at it while Nightwing cuffed Joker and Robin shut down all the rides.

"Joker had a deadman trigger!" He practically shrieked into the comms "Get everyone out of there now!" Looking closer at the moniters, it was easy to see the bombs at the bottom of every other support. Thankfully, with Robin having turned off the rides, the safety bar had let go, and the other bats had gotten all the civillians off the ride. Unfortunately, they were still in the blast zone.

Red Robin turned to say something to the civillians. Then this white haired kid practically threw Red Hood into Orphan, who was checking someone for injuries. With everyone behind him, the kid threw out his hands, as a sheet of ice grew from them. The ice seemed to thin to stop anything, but it covered everyone quickly. Once a dome had formed the ice began to thicken.

Then the bombs detonated.

As much as Jason and Tim don't hate each other- they're past the whole "you replaced me" feud especially when Tim joins Jason in the "previously robin" camp- they do still ACT like it. They are outrageously mean to eachother in a group setting. And they both think it's hilarious. Bickering, hurling the most ridiculous insults at each other, nasty looks, fist fights, everything, you name it. Ever fought with your sibling? Crank it up to 11.

But the moment another family member steps in to diffuse the situation, suddenly they're banded together to demean the new guy (Dick or Bruce, usually, but Duke got caught in the crossfire once. Never made that mistake again).

At the end of the day, Jason and Tim are buddies. They hang out occasionally, have civilized conversation, bond by doing stupid shit when no one's around. The works. It especially freaks everyone out when Jason makes some snide remark about Tim and everyone, anticipating a major blowout, prepares to leave the room or hunker down. But instead, Tim doubles over with laughter. He manages to get out something like "Wow! You've been holding onto to that one for a while. Perfect. Really out did yourself this time." between fits of laughter as he holds onto Jason's arm for support.

And thats when everyone collectively remembers that Tim and Jason are huge trolls and they should've realized this was actually some weird sibling bonding ritual years ago.

my lab rats hyperfixation came back and i've been doing some thinking ever since

so from the start of the show there have been multiple references to comic book heroes especially dc references

(leo saying "my new dad is batman" in the first episode and douglas calling chase "boy wonder", referencing to robin)

well since mighty med ans lab rats take place in the same universe, mighty med characters are also comic book characters and dc is a comic book series, are they in the same universe?

Duke is a fun character that people (fanfic writers, official writers, etc) never really seem to take advantage of. I’m not here to complain about writing tho I’m here to rant.

Duke is the perfect age where you can make him friends with the characters directly older than him (Tim’s gen/Young Justice) and the ones directly younger than him (Damian’s generation, eg Jon Kent, Shazamily maybe) and I think more people should write about him just being the middle of the youngest kids

Like, Jason and Cass are middlest of the oldest, Duke is middlest of the youngest.

Duke showing up to titans tower, charming young justice, insulting Tim to his face, stealing something, bringing up the Robin gang, and leaving. Once Tim and Duke have known eachother for a while, Tim complains about Duke the same amount he does Damian! Possibly worse because Duke never does anything actually malicious! He’s just Tim’s little brother!

Duke going into Damian’s room when his friends are over and embarrassing him. He’s the designated chaperone when the kids want to go out somewhere. Walking with Dami to and from school. I imagine they play minecraft together

So I want Damian to have one sibling relationship where he isn’t a baby, sue me! No one really brings up the fact that them two are the only of the kids who really live at home, they are sort of forced to put up with eachother. Damian also doesn’t really have a reason to hate Duke, I imagine he’s mostly got over his ‘heir to the bat’ nonsense by the time he gets fostered and, even if he hasn’t, Duke doesn’t really want Bruce as his dad! Duke is in no way competition

I want to see Damian insulting Duke, biting him, hitting him, awful awful shit and everyone is like

‘Oh no! Why is Dami evil again 😣’

But then Duke just yells back at him! 20 minutes later their seen on the couch sharing a pack of skittles! I want one normal sibling relationship in this family!

Tim and Duke being Robin at the same time but Tim is Batman's Robin and Duke is The Outlaws' Robin and Duke getting insecure over how he's a 'poser' Robin because he ran away from Gotham as he hears about Tim's accomplishments for the city on the news and bottling it up until he gets especially upset overthinking maybe Jason would rather have Tim as his Robin than him until on homemade milkshakes night at The Fortress when he overhears Jason telling Kyle about how he hated the Robin mantle after he died but Duke brought the magic back into it in his eyes with his spark and says he's only reason he thinks the Robin legacy is worth keeping and going on and that he's the realest Robin since Dick himself.Cue him getting tumbled out of his seat by a streak of opalescent yellow light in an iron grip hug and the sun pocket in question refusing to let go of him,not that he had any protests,until they wake up together in Jason's bed in the morning and Kyle waking them up with loaded breakfast burritos and rootbeer floats and mocking Jason going soft yet telling Duke he's the best Robin anyone could ever ask for in the same breath as he ruffles his hair and smiles smugly at him like a proud older brother

I thought about it for a long time and this just makes sense to me.

What dragon each of them would have,

Bruce wayne, I belive he'd have a whispering death (mostly because we saw how it acted with the screaming death, her son) it's also silent so I makes sense, he also has a rumble horn to present his stubbornness. I guess a bat lookalike dragon would be most people's choice- but this is better in my opinion.

Dick grayson, i belive he'd have a storm cutter, due to the big brother energy It gave off, also the way the dragon moves is amolst athletic, so fitting for dick grayson.

Jason todd, now this is where it gets instresting. I belive due to the all blades, his death and what not, the dragons like most animals can sense him being a good soul (since he canonically went to heaven and was choosen by the all blades) I belive he accidentally keept getting more and more dragons until his place started to get infested with dragons, his place is basically like a dragons nest and he's the mother (like hiccups mother kind of) he of course doesn't own all of them, but these are the dragons I belive are closest to him to a point of them being his.

A nightfurry (due to it being death etc)

And a skrill, the night furry and skrill might not always get along so jason has to constantly repare stuff, along with a screaming death (that's why bruce having a whispering death makes sense) that lives underneath his place, at some point a lightfurry joins in, that's when jason has enough, because he doesn't want baby dragons to suddenly join in so he throws them out, but after a week of them following him he let them back in (yes he had to end up dealing with baby dragons later because of his choice) them there's a razor whip, it was a baby, so he had to raise it, and despite him being a male, the baby wasn't scared. It stuck to him, so jason let it stay, it's damians favorite, so jason tried to shove it off to him but the razor whip doesn't like anyone other than the man who raised him, aka jason, so jason learned to accept that the razor whip was going to stick around. Then there's a couple speed stingers, it's very helpful that they parelize the others when they get out of controle, what he doesn't like is when they parelize him. Then there's a deathsong that he had to fight due to it amolst killing his dragons, that ended up choosing to stay with him. These are the dragons closest to him. He only Flys the nightfurrys and razor whips, but somethimes let's the others fly with him, there are many more dragons that just stick at his place because his place turned into a dragon nest. They all are peaceful when at home (atleast most of the time) and jason doesn't have to take care of the feeding or cleaning cuz they do that for eachother.

and a sentinel, that keept trying to bring jason to the death island due to him..having died and shi, it keeps trying but the other dragons protect jason, so it just sits outside like a gargoyle.

It's rather usefull to have so many dragons be ready to protect jason, and having such a wide range to choose from. Also, Tim and damian are jealous that the dragons have chosen to like jason best. (Dick is just proud, and doesn't mind because his storm cutter is one of the oldest dragons, and ends up treating jasons dragons like younger siblings aswell, wich represent their characters too.)

Cass has a whispering death aswell, matching to bruce, but she also has a death gripper, that she knew when she was younger and only returned recently.

Tim and damian share a zippleback, to present them two being robin and at the same time fighting eachother like the twins and dragons themselves. Tho when tim turns to redrobin, he aquiers a gronkel (it being unconditionally loving despite tim messing up alot)

And later on damian aquiers a nadder and nightmare, that turned friends with the zippleback after it saved them, he choose to ride the zippleback alone without tim after tim left.

Duke, I belive he has night terrors trained, and that he has a fireworm (due to his lightpower)

In The Drakes Spoiled Brat, was Tim given a funeral when he died?

Actually touched on this somewhat from another ask here !!

Original "world/time"-

No, because that scenerio didn't play out for reasons. BUT if it would have continued (no universe shenanigans) I can say what would have happened.

No one would have noticed for at least a few weeks, Tim was distant enough he didn't check in regulalrly with anyone (nor did they him) and a lot of his stuff was automated.

But after about the 3rd week mark- Either Babs or Duke would be the ones to bring it up. Duke didn't know Tim but that was HIS Robin so he worried a little, and Bab's knew Tim worked outside her network- but his own personal network had been worringly inactive.

They'd spend some time worrying about kidnappings, and eventually find out about Tims last mission.

A funeral would be held, put together by Alfred.

YJ wouldn't have come- they wouldn't want to mourn their friends death with the people who drove him to it (that and it didnt matter where the funeral was, they didn't have a body to bury)

Dick would have fought tooth and nail for everyone to come- he would be dammed if he missed another of his little brothers funerals.

From there, it would be Brucequest but 100x worse- at least Bruce, his "death" was caused by his own martyrship. Tims death was because they made him a martyr.

Everyone would Spiral, stuck between WANTING to pull apart and self isolate, and knowing that same destructive instinct is what alinated Tim so much in the first place.

Where Jasons death served as a somber reminder for what their mission entailed, the pain and loss that one small mistep down a rickety path can take.

Tims death was a blaze- A constant, everyone KNEW the before- and they were the after, the what ifs spiraled, tandem swinging between wanting to forget and desperatly trying to remember.

Even now- Jason and Tim were bound by eachothers tragedies, two boys, lost far too young. But only one was allowed to come back.

Jason still kept a shovel by his bedside at the manor, just in case.

Batfam magical girl AU where a magical villain's spell fucks with the Gotham smog and causes the constellations of the Gotham night sky to shatter and fall. People who were standing there in the street at that moment are suddenly hit with magical fragments and becoming the Galaxy, also known as Stars of Gotham, magical protectors of the city now that the power of the enchanted Gotham night sky is broken and can't protect it from the forces of evil anymore (which explains why the city is so ridden with crime).

Bruce's new ward, Dick Grayson, is running away from the manor to try and hunt down his parents' murderer, Bruce hot on his tail. The two of them arrive to the harbour during the Starfall. Dick is hit with two fragments, the Constellation of the Robin and the dormant Constellation of the Bird, which get lodged in his heart. Bruce is hit with the Constellation of the Bat in a similar manner.

Barbara Gordon shouldn't be sneaking out, really, but her dad still hasn't come home from the police precinct and she just wanted to walk there and take him home when she is struck with the dormant Constellation of the Whispering Woman.

A couple alleys over, a very young boy is hiding from his mom's dealer in the alley near his apartment complex when he is hit by the dormant Constellation of the Wolf.

Over in the Bowlery, Crystal Brown is walking with her baby in her arms when said baby is hit with the dormant Constellation of the Closed Fist.

In the Narrows, Ellen Thomas is struck with the power of the dormant Constellation of the Eclipse.

Bruce becomes Batman, holder of the most powerful constellation in Gotham, with Dick's Robin at his side. But the fragment of the Bat constellation is too powerful and unstable, threatening his life as Bruce's crystal core grows inside his heart. Him, Kate and Barbara work together to stabilize the crystal, which works, but in the process of its extraction it shatters in four, one part in Bruce's chest, one part that they protect in a glass case, and one part in Kate's and Barbara's chests.

Dormant fragments tend to awaken in situations of crisis or great changes in somebody's life. This is how Dick's Bird fragment awakens as he fights with Bruce over firing him and taking in a new kid without telling him. Because Dick can't take the strain of two star fragments, he gives it to Jason after spending a day getting to know eachother and bonding as brothers, and the start of Nightwing and Robin.

After Barbara is shot and paralyzed, the fragments of the Whispering Woman awaken and keep her alive long enough to get to the hospital, but the cohabitation with her bat fragment endangers hers, so she eventually gives it to Bruce's newly adopted daughter Cassandra.

When Jason dies, they extract the Robin fragment from his heart because an awoken fragment in a dead body is a recipe for a big explosion. Tim fuses with the Robin fragment in the Batcave in order to save Batman's life. Steph has a turn with the Robin fragment when Tim has to retire because of his dad, until she is kidnapped by Black Mask and her closed fist constellation awakens, enabling her escape with an awesome burst of power but endangering her, leading to Tim reabsorbing the fragment.

Jason's wolf constellation awakens while he's in the coffin, and the strength of this magical disturbance brings him back to life, though it's unfortunately not enough to heal his brain damage.

Damian is a special case, a child born of someone with a crystal core (since Bruce was already a magical girl when at his conception). Because of this, he has a natural crystal core which is compatible with the reception of another fragment, so when the Robin fragment grows uncontrollably in a bid to make up for Bruce's absence, Damian absorbs part of it and his powers become a hybrid of the Robin and the Bat's, and he inherits Robin while Tim becomes Red Robin.

Duke, similar to Damian, inherits his powers from Ellen, and they begin to manifest as he finds himself in foster care and joing a gang of Robin fan children, leading to being eventually taken in by Bruce.

All of them have magical girl transformation sequences complete with glitter, diamonds and classic magical girl anime costumes.
