I love Duke Thomas
I luv him :3
He is silly
Sorry the demons anyway
Duke is a fun character that people (fanfic writers, official writers, etc) never really seem to take advantage of. Iām not here to complain about writing tho Iām here to rant.
Duke is the perfect age where you can make him friends with the characters directly older than him (Timās gen/Young Justice) and the ones directly younger than him (Damianās generation, eg Jon Kent, Shazamily maybe) and I think more people should write about him just being the middle of the youngest kids
Like, Jason and Cass are middlest of the oldest, Duke is middlest of the youngest.
Duke showing up to titans tower, charming young justice, insulting Tim to his face, stealing something, bringing up the Robin gang, and leaving. Once Tim and Duke have known eachother for a while, Tim complains about Duke the same amount he does Damian! Possibly worse because Duke never does anything actually malicious! Heās just Timās little brother!
Duke going into Damianās room when his friends are over and embarrassing him. Heās the designated chaperone when the kids want to go out somewhere. Walking with Dami to and from school. I imagine they play minecraft together
So I want Damian to have one sibling relationship where he isnāt a baby, sue me! No one really brings up the fact that them two are the only of the kids who really live at home, they are sort of forced to put up with eachother. Damian also doesnāt really have a reason to hate Duke, I imagine heās mostly got over his āheir to the batā nonsense by the time he gets fostered and, even if he hasnāt, Duke doesnāt really want Bruce as his dad! Duke is in no way competition
I want to see Damian insulting Duke, biting him, hitting him, awful awful shit and everyone is like
āOh no! Why is Dami evil again š£ā
But then Duke just yells back at him! 20 minutes later their seen on the couch sharing a pack of skittles! I want one normal sibling relationship in this family!
#am I self projecting?#maybeeee#guys youāll never guess who has a 3 year age gap with their older sister and has a good relationship with them#did I bite my sister as a kid?#maybeeeee#duke thomas#damian wayne#damian al ghul#they are siblings fight me#tim drake#dc#dcu#dc comics#batfam#batfamily#batman#I want an actual sibling relationship#none of this ābasically my parentā or āgenuinely tried to murder me/hated me for agesā#not the subject but I also want him to be besties with Cullen#they bond over being hate crimed#their roughly the same age#I imagine they once claimed to be twins#shockingly no one believed them

You know what's funny about Dragon Age Inquisition's romance system? The only romanceable companions you're unable to romance as a woman are Dorian and Cassandra. And they are pretty much my favourite companions in the game, the only ones I actually want to romance and to know better. And it would really be fine for them to "locked" this way, if the other companions open for a romance with a female Inquisitor were... more interesting? I really considered romancing Blackwall. But he was nowhere near Duncan, whom, as I see it, they tried to replicate. It's so good I didn't romance him, because I nearly couldn't stand him after the big reveal. And they could create a new character for the Commander of Inquisition forces instead of that guy who had bullied mages for two previous games. Imagine that I started playing Inquisition several days after the moment when I wanted Cullen to die in the final explosion of DA2. I actually wished Cullen died, whether in the explosion or by Hawke's hand. And then they want me to romance him? Really? When it comes to Solas, I'm just neutral, because he doesn't catch my interest. Yes, his looks play the crucial part, he should have looked like Orsino. Well, who else do we have? Out of the male companions we only have a spy with big horns, who is funny but a bit scary. Sera is afraid of magic (it would be weird for me personally to be interested in her) and Josephine is... I don't know, just doesn't catch my attention (my husband romanced Josephine, by the way, he enjoyed it).
I guess I'm stuck with male Inquisitors then. I think at some point I should make a dashing elven archer for Cassandra.
No, Bioware, you won't make me want to smooch the bald mage whatever you do in the Veilguard. Also, all of this is not an objective analysis, but a very biased and subjective opinion coming from me personally. If you enjoy romancing these characters, that's good, I'm all for people having fun in all the ways they can. I don't judge people by how they play games or hyperfixate. My heart belongs to Dorian and Cass (who's my Inky's bestie right now), but again, that's just me.
I really hope I will not be disappointed in DAV romance (and the game in general).

Just because an ally of yours has always been acting suspicious and/or you have never really gotten along with them, doesn't mean that their betrayal isn't a betrayal. They go against you, despite previously stating that they wouldn't. Hope that helps :) (Oh and btw, passive-aggressive ''um actually'' aside - Greg Ellis didn't necessarily suck as Anders all that much, because Anders really was THIS obnoxious back then. Sore sight š. God bless DA2.)
Ok bestie I'm a tad too sick from my booster shot rn to comprehend this but like? Was the ''Was it really a betrayal or'' part of the post not clear enough on the fact that I do actually think some betrayals in the series are just that? Betrayals? I could make a more complex post of my thoughts on each of them when my brain doesnt feel like jello if you want? jdfgh It was mostly a jab at this take on Anders, see the: ''The freedom fighter freedom fought, how dare he'' tag on that post fjdngk I think you're referencing Solas here judging from the 'suspicious' thing and let me be clear: That's one of the ones I actually consider betrayals jdgfk alright? I Just mentioned him in the tags because I love to call him egg and bully him jfndkg No hard feelings on any of this I hope Also on Gr3g.. I don't know? Voice actor's bigotry aside, the performance just feels.. off? to me? He actually does a great job as Cullen, but Anders? even an obnoxious pre-kirkwall Anders? I dont know, perhaps that's just subjective
