I'm watching scrubs for the first time ever (loving it) and I'm about halfway through s1 and Dr. Cox is like, really starting to grate on me.

I loved him in the first half and I still enjoy a lot of his character but man, every single joke he has is literally just calling a man a girl and it feels weird that he's somehow always right like BOOOOOO no you destroying the radiology room is weird actually.

idk did anyone else feel this way? I assume he gets character development later

Psych is to detective shows what Scrubs is to medical shows. Mostly delightful nonsense combined with genuinely compelling plot lines and then out of nowhere, bam, raw emotion and sincerity!

Just thinking about the Scrubs quote, about how ‘everything we do here is a stall.’

And how afraid House and Wilson are of death, especially each other’s deaths. And how such a big theme in House is that tension between fear and pain and preciousness of the finite time we get. How it’s basically never fair and it always sucks at the end.

I was at a costume store with some classmates from my college and I was just rambling about John C. McGinley playing Dr. Cox from Scrubs and how he deserved more recognition from the role. A voice behind me says, “Oh, really? Is that so?” I turn around and it’s him.

Later on, we both did a Pokemon Smash or Pass. He rated Zoroark a smash.

Dr. Cox: Asking someone's pronouns implies you care about them, and you don't know me so you can't care about me and even if you did know me I still don't want you to care about me; oh, but don't just go assuming pronouns either, bucko, because if you try to put any one person in a box I will put you in a box and that box will be six feet under. And not to be that person guys but Greg House is a shinier ripoff of Perry Cox.

House is just flashier than Dr. Cox.

And Hilson is kind JD/Cox fanfic.

At the very least they didn't put Dr. Cox and Carla together. That's what they did with the slow killer itself: Huddy.

All in all Scrubs is a superior version of House and Grey's anatomy.
