I was at a costume store with some classmates from my college and I was just rambling about John C. McGinley playing Dr. Cox from Scrubs and how he deserved more recognition from the role. A voice behind me says, “Oh, really? Is that so?” I turn around and it’s him.

Later on, we both did a Pokemon Smash or Pass. He rated Zoroark a smash.

And not to be that person guys but Greg House is a shinier ripoff of Perry Cox.

House is just flashier than Dr. Cox.

And Hilson is kind JD/Cox fanfic.

At the very least they didn't put Dr. Cox and Carla together. That's what they did with the slow killer itself: Huddy.

All in all Scrubs is a superior version of House and Grey's anatomy.

JD: He/him! Thank you so much for ask-- (*off-camera* "uh, Betty? they’re she/her, remember?") Wait, don't listen to him! I'm a guy! He/him! He/him!

Dr. Cox: Asking someone's pronouns implies you care about them, and you don't know me so you can't care about me and even if you did know me I still don't want you to care about me; oh, but don't just go assuming pronouns either, bucko, because if you try to put any one person in a box I will put you in a box and that box will be six feet under. Do you understand me? *Saunters away without ever answering the question*

Carla: Oh, uh... She/Her.

Elliot: *On the verge of tears* Is it not obvious? She/Her.

Turk: Oh, nah, man. I'm not like that. No pronouns for me, I'm normal.

Scrubs is my favourite tv show but since my nan passed away last year I haven’t been able to face watching it. I’ve finally started rewatching, got to My Old Lady and sobbed my heart out 😭

OK LAST POST ON MARINEFORD, MAYBE! I think Jinbei’s interaction with Luffy after Ace’s death is ALMOST as heart-shattering as Scrubs: “Where do you think we are?” and THAT IS STRAIGHT UP NOT OK!

It’s 5 am

Thinking about how important the first two Ben episodes are because they set up two of my favorite parallels/mirror moment for Dr Cox and JD. The first one has most of it in JD’s fantasy as he struggles with the idea of telling Ben he has leukemia, hoping that maybe the tests were wrong. The thing that snaps him out of this fantasy is Dr Cox asking if he is holding the results. JD spending an episode in a fantasy isn’t strange. After all, one of the main parts of the shows comedy is JD getting lost in fantasies. But most of My Screw Up sees it being Dr Cox’s turn to spend it in a delusion. Dr Cox who makes fun of JD for getting lost in his head has a whole episode like that. And then JD is the one to pull HIM out of it. JD spends the whole show needing to be pulled back down, and for once he gets to do it for someone else, and it’s heartbreaking.

The second Ben episode sees Dr Cox avoid Ben for all it after the leukemia diagnosis. And JD confronts him and tells him he has to be there for his friend, and Dr Cox says he can’t distance himself from what’s happening and then later in the episode has a change of heart and sits in with Ben to help him get through it. In My Fallen Idol, JD can’t forgive Dr Cox and so avoids him. Every tells him to put aside his feelings to help a friend but he says he cant. And then later in the episode he has a change of heart and sits in with Dr Cox to help him get through it.

Anyway it’s bed time but I’m feral over it
