kinda funny how httyd toothless swapped arcs (not really arcs but . whatever) between the books and movies with the movies having him get progressively more. cute-like in design and behaviour and generally making him less cool and unique meanwhile in the books you slowly find out toothless is the equivalent to like an eldrich horror level of dragon whos. actually i dont need to go into that i havent read these books since i was like 12 so i think id get it wrong but smth about repeating the past mistakes and the fact his species can get telepathy? anyway i think thats sad and i will forever wish my childhood favourite special interest got a faithful adaptation i wouldve loved to see it actually animated

I know several other people have redrawn that one official cloudtail & brightheart art but i wanted to take a crack at it. Hire me harpercollins.

one of the funniest things about becoming an adult is realizing that adults were not being fun-killers when they looked at your favorite snack and went "eugh, too much sugar for me." Your body genuinely just stops being able to process sugary shit as well and it starts tasting super gross and making you feel like you have to puke after a couple of bites. it does kind of suck but the tradeoff is you get more sensitive to complex tastes so all the fancy desserts that never really made any sense to you suddenly start becoming really appealing.

#like most of my previously favorite candies are just like. too much now i dont like them #but on the flipside I KILL for a good tiramisu
