Quick rant. I saw a fic that included Gaz fully and someone reposted it with their own rewrite and the first thing it said in the author’s note was:

“Btw sorry, I don’t write for Gaz.”

How the fuck, are you gonna rewrite someone’s fic and include every character EXCEPT the only black character?

I understand not writing for certain characters, but not even trying to learn about the character and not even bothering to mention them at least???? And the only black character is the one you don’t write for???? Gtfo of here.

Don’t write for the Task Force if you’re gonna exclude Gaz and replace him with König.

Cozy Glow is such an interesting litmus test for die-hard bronies. I was checking r/mlp to prep a post and there’s a discussion post about how she deserved what she got and. How do I tell bronies that children should not be tried as adults. How do I tell bronies that psychopaths and sociopaths deserve human rights and treatment and support. How do I tell bronies that cruel and unusual punishments are bad. How do I tell bronies that the death penalty is wrong. How do I tell bronies that a ruling body should not have absolute say over putting someone to death, least of all a 6-year-old child.

Not surprised since this is the site that only talks about racism and thinks it’s a big deal when they see it demonstrated in the cartoons and comics they like *coughs* dungeonmeshi *coughs* (for example at least. Tumblr is like, 90% white and is extremely centered around them. That’s why you barely see stuff that’s important to black and brown people ever trending here or being talked about. It has to be something incredibly huge to the point where even white people can’t ignore it like they usually do, to talk about it here.

They only talked about George Floyd here because the topic of his death became world news. Even people in other countries were talking about it. Before him, it was probably Ferguson and Trayvon Martin… most of them are still trying their best to ignore the genocides because it’s a “touchy subject.” What do you expect from white people who live in their own bubbles of comfort and refuse to pop it with a needle??? They find comfort in their privilege and faux ignorance (they love playing stupid to avoid conversations about important things outside of fandoms like, are these mfs born with half a brain dedicated to fandom or what.) Been inundated with posts about the character descriptions in the 7seas mxtx releases, and I just wanna say that I find it the highest level of disrespect how a publisher treated someone’s serious writing that they bought the publishing rights for as a little jokey joke that’s lead to so many people’s misconceptions about said book. Tell me: why do these character sheets include publisher/translator opinions on the characters? Why do these character sheets directly go against what the actual text has to say about these characters? Why do these novels need character sheets?

Throwback to the time I drew a black girl (I was so frickin proud of it, her hair was so cool and I was, like, 13?) and my dad sees it and goes, “be careful, if anyone sees that, they’ll think you’re racist.” I asked why, and he just said, “black people don’t let white people do anything anymore, not even draw them.”
