the real mortifying day is after months of getting small bags of dog treats one day the bag of dog treats has like. perfectly normal human candies/pastries or something inside

Of Course charles is confused and impulsively asks what it is/how it's different from the usual only for the clerk to reply theyre Whatever Erik's Favorite Treat Is and its that day forward erik is adamant they just do their shopping online

sorry to boohoo whine woe is me but girl i am so sick to death of being hungry. every DAY you have to eat sometimes multiple times a day. and while i know how lucky i am that i have the means to acquire food my options are 1. eat junk food 2. go out of my house and spend 1 million dollars at some fast food chain i'm probably supposed to boycotting 3. remain hungry. and i have to make this decision multiple times a day!!!!!

Didn't felt like mentioning it immediately but shoutout to my sick and twisted brain for getting so triggered by an unexpected Christmas parade that I ended up havin the absolute worst panic attack of my entire life (potentially the only real one? ever since my nephew was born my parents(who have been divorced since like 2013 and separated since 2011) have had this weird codependent relationship where, since my nephew and his mother/my sister live at my mom’s house, on the weekends my dad will literally wake up and immediately drive to my mom’s house and stay there until like 11pm, and on weekdays he will go straight to her house when he leaves work and also stay there until at least 10pm. and he also buys all her groceries for her and does all of her household maintenance type tasks like mowing her lawn and changing her lightbulbs and taking her trash out, while neglecting similar tasks at his own house, and it’s like to the point where multiple people have asked my siblings if they’re together/getting back together, but they most definitely are not, it’s something weirder than that. but anyway yesterday he took her furniture shopping because her couch broke and apparently the guy at the consignment store, after hearing all about their grandson, made some innocent comment that implied they were married, and my mom got really offended and snapped at him that they are NOT married, and my dad was just like Well we used to be…

Me going into this weekend: Well, it's time for the local anime convention, the one that I've been preparing for since December and worked super hard so I'd have lots of mage plushies in the store I sell them at downtown, all ready for excited anime fans to buy them!

This weekend: Protesters gridlock downtown on Saturday (aka, the Busy Day, aka the Profitable Day) because they can't handle the concept of a drag queen doing story time for kids at the library, someone escalates this to a very effective bomb threat that's fortunately fake but still forces local shops to close and the reading to be cancelled for the sake of safety, it pours rain, and is the coldest weekend we've had all month to boot. All the shops and the downtown farmer's market that brought in extra stock and produce in preparation for what is traditionally a very profitable weekend for local businesses due to exploring convention members are left in the lurch.

Me, now: (lying in my bed trying to console myself with humour) ...this did not go according to keikaku.*
