I’m fully supportive of drivers talking about their mental health and that includes Lando!!! but remember that Lewis and Max have also spoken out with their struggles… Lando is not doing anything revolutionary or singular.

Many of the drivers have talked about their nerves, mental health, eating disorders, etc but just because it wasn’t in a presser or a video’d interview doesn’t mean they never spoke out. Marks book! Maxs’ documentary/show!

I’d love for formula 1 to give these drivers a better and more supportive platform to speak out on these issues but for the most part the opinions and personal issues of drivers are mainly shared in their own content. It’s good that lando is outward with his struggles but at the same time let’s remember that other drivers also face the same or similar challenges.

I know that the fandom wiki claims that Akutagawa and Gin have a healthy, loving sibling relationship, but I'm calling bullshit. There is no possible way that Gin doesn't have some kind of complex when their older brother who mutually cares for them is the most wanted man in the city, their direct superior at work, and has superpowers. The Akutagawa siblings have the emotional/mental healthiness of a pair of orphans who were taken in by the mafia at an early age, I cannot believe in a universe where Akutagawa and Gin's dynamic is one hundred percent positive.

I mean, their strained sibling relationship is the focal point of BEAST universe, is it really that hard to believe that they still have Serious Issues That Need To Be Worked Out in the main universe, where they're arguably in a worse situation, both being Port Mafia?

I like to think that even tho Death has left him alone now, Puss still has anxiety (and let's be real, probably depression and ptsd too) and frequently needs Perrito and Kitty's help.

The panic attack in the movie was the worst one he's ever had bc it was also the first one he ever had. He didn't know what was happening and didn't catch it until it was too late. Now he knows how to identify when he needs to remove himself from a situation and will just excuse himself, nodding towards Kitty and motioning for Perrito to follow him. Usually, they just stand outside while Kitty does her thing and Perrito will try to distract him or rationalize/explain why the situation isn't as bad as it seems, it's not the end of the world. If it's really bad, Perrito will lick his face while Puss sits on the floor and does some breathing exercises he taught him. That usually works and they can either join Kitty again or play silly road trip games like I-spy while they wait for her to be done.

If it's not quite to that point yet or leaving isn't an option, he'll just take Kitty's hand. It's very grounding and is a good reminder that he's not alone and someone does actually love him for him, not just for the legend. Kitty doesn't mind, though she wishes the circumstances for him holding her hand were better, and usually just goes about her business. If it's just normal everyday stuff like basic chores or whatever, she'll include him in it and talk to him the whole way through to prevent him from being able to drown in his thoughts. Or if it's more mission-based stuff, well, that's why she has two hands. One for her blade and one for her husband. Just because she's holding someone's hand doesn't mean she isn't intimidating as fuck and won't kick your ass. She can multitask.

I've had a lot of talks with various people about Ryker's current state with his ability to learn and focus during his current teenagehood.

His drive to work has plummeted. Anything that's not tug or chase type play he doesn't really want to do it. I chose the bad path of trying to keep working on things, working on trying to keep things easy and fun but it still has stressed him out.

Food refusal is becoming more common, signs of stress with any training scenario, and overall harm to our relationship. What I thought was slow moving with training isn't slow enough for him. I've been taking things so much slower with him than I did Aayla. Yet it hasn't been enough. I think I've been getting more frustrated with him and while I try and not let that affect my training, I know it does. He is so very sensitive.

So we are going to be taking a break from anything beyond the essentials of continuing LLW, ability to disengage from dogs, and husbandry needs. He has been thoroughly enjoying our agility class so we will keep doing that but that is it. No more obedience for now, no more tricks or anything like that. Just structured play, maintaining good dog skills and letting him mentally mature a bit more.

I need to focus on Aayla for nationals and need to reset myself anyways. I need to get a better relationship with Ryker and let go of my dreams and goals for right now. Maybe he won't be a great sport dog and that will be okay. He is a great family member and gets along so well with everyone.

”what did people do before therapy” I mean one. people talked about their feelings and tried to help each other before we had the written word that’s just how humans are. well before formalised therapy people would help in what ways they could with limited knowledge. and two. mental healthcare is as old as physical, and while it tended to be not Great neither was physical healthcare, bc while people tried their best they didnt have the same knowledge and resources we do now. there’s writings from almost as long as writing was a thing about what we'd consider treatment for mental health now.

trying to practice restraint by not speaking about it but taeyong’s situation specifically has gotten so out of hand seeing the vilest shit being alleged between him and his sister and the swarm of death threats sent directly to him and his family after a random instagram story from half a year ago of a now confirmed censored single volume of a popular anime. extrapolating from a photo he took of some fucking shoes he was gifted saying hes read and promoted eleven volumes of uncensored whatever without fact checking anything/going off hearsay is so insane? and trying to lump all 4/5 idols in the same way without any nuance or even care for victims of these abuses is just irresponsible. i’m not here to justify or speak on the contents of the original anime itself because i haven’t read it but the way misinformation and crazy uncritical mob behavior functions on stan twitter/tumblr without any critical thinking is disgusting and also makes the content of what’s being criticized completely frivolous. it’s disgusting!
