I think I'm able to perhaps put a few words to why I really dislike that the Ahsoka show had her choose to come to the conclusion that Anakin was GOOD, that he was a good person and good teacher to her, rather than having her refuse to forgive him and just having to let go of him entirely.

Ahsoka is a character who has been, for her ENTIRE RUN on Star Wars, defined by Anakin and her relationship to him. She's never been able to escape that. She was created as an explanation for why Anakin "matured" over the three year gap between AOTC and ROTS, but her lack of existence in the films means she can have no greater impact on Anakin than that. She is wholly irrelevant to his character but she does not EXIST without him. In Rebels, she is only in one season where all of her appearances are fixated on her discovery of Anakin's betrayal and how that impacts her, leading up to their final confrontation where she appears to die fighting him. She comes back only so her relationship with Anakin can be used to help Ezra let go of Kanan. In TOTJ, she has an entire episode dedicated to explaining that the only reason she survived Order 66 was because of some kind of special training Anakin gave her that made her stronger, better, faster than any other Jedi. In The Mandalorian, her appearance was full of subtext about her trauma regarding Anakin and the way she reacts to other Jedi as a result of that. In The Book of Boba Fett appearance, that subtext is still there, primarily in her conversation with Luke where she even tells him how much he reminds her of Anakin. Which leaves us with the Ahsoka show itself and how it REVOLVES around that relationship, from Sabine being turned into Anakin 2.0 to everything in episode 5 to Ahsoka claiming she'll support Sabine in everything because this is what Anakin did for her to Anakin literally showing up in ghost form to Thrawn predicting everything Ahsoka will do because he has some familiarity with Anakin.

Ahsoka CANNOT escape this relationship, she cannot move out from this particular shadow and become her own person because her character seems to ONLY EXIST to be "Anakin's student." She can almost literally not stand on her own at this point. If her story doesn't revolve around Anakin in some way, it doesn't seem to really exist (please keep in mind here that I am mostly looking at HIGH CANON appearances for this because that's what I am familiar with; I'm sure that some comics have probably managed to move away from her relationship to Anakin a little bit sometimes but I haven't read any of them so they're not being counted in this analysis, especially since I don't think they're really impacting her higher canon characterization anyway).

It's even just visible in how other characters perceive her. She is constantly being COMPARED to Anakin, we keep hearing how like Anakin she is. The only time I can think of that she is compared to anyone OTHER than Anakin is when Trace and Rafa tell her that she acts like a Jedi even if she isn't currently calling herself one (bless their SOULS for this moment, they deserved so much better than the hate they got and one single appearance on fucking TBB). We never hear anyone say she reminds them of Obi-Wan, or Yoda, or Plo Koon. It's ALWAYS Anakin even though she's known Yoda and Plo Koon longer and she seems to spend almost as much time with Obi-Wan as she does Anakin.

By having Ahsoka decide to deal with her feelings about Anakin by just... setting aside all the bad shit he did and focusing ONLY on the good moments that he had and letting that define him, it makes it nearly impossible to separate her from him. If he's good, then it's a GOOD thing to compare her to him. If he's good, then his influence on her HAS to have been a good one. For me, it ruins ANY nuance that could have come from going the opposite direction and recognizing that while he had some good moments, he was in fact an overall bad person who was a terrible teacher to her. He betrayed her, he tried to kill her (and only failed because she was saved by someone else), he abandoned her. I don't care WHAT he did before this, this automatically makes him a BAD TEACHER.

And recognizing that Anakin was a bad teacher would force Ahsoka to look at HERSELF more critically, too, to recognize the places where she has made the same mistakes perhaps, where she's started leading herself down a similar path to his, and then choosing to NOT BE LIKE HIM. Anakin should be (like he is with Luke) the personification of her own darkness. Palpatine represented Anakin's greatest demons and personifications, Anakin can represent something similar for Ahsoka. He is an indisputable part of her now, but she doesn't HAVE to become him, she doesn't have to let that CONTROL her. And by making that choice, she frees herself from being defined by him for the rest of her life.

But now, the narrative has bound Ahsoka to Anakin forever. She'll never be anything more than Anakin's student because this has become what defines her as a person and a character. And it just... it sucks. Ahsoka deserved better than that.

So you guys know how there are several fanfics out there (at least that I’ve read) about how the Rise world is ✨so much better✨ than all the others in color and acceptance and that the Rise brothers are just ✨perfect siblings✨ and a single brother/all the brothers of 2012 would head there and never want to leave???

Well, I was thinking about that and how I could see Mikey or Raph getting talked into staying (and Donnie, as long as April isn’t an issue) but I was having a bit of trouble convincing myself that Leo would leave everything behind and move there. I mean, their home and everything he knows how to protect them from is back there. He already got rid of Shredder and they’ve fought so hard to kept their dimension- why would they leave??

Now, I’m not saying he definitely wouldn’t. I probably could convince myself that he would if I really wanted to BUT I’M STUCK in this endless loop of WHAT IF AU scenarios-!

So I’m processing and spazzing and I take no responsibility for anything that comes out of my mouth if you click this line.

OH, GOOD. WE CAN START!

So we all know that Leo isn’t going to let his brothers go. Not to live in some other dimension away from his care. And maybe the situation could be that they only visit- but they don’t want to. They want to move and they want him to come with them.

They’ll be happier there, surely. Couldn’t he see that?

And Leo tries to sit back and let them have their way. He wants his brothers to be happy, really, he does, but it grates on him more and more each day. Watching them bond with the Rise brothers. Watching them pull away from him to lean on others, silent as Michael plays therapist as if Leo isn’t enough- as the twins encourage disrespectful behavior and call him out for ‘playing Sensei’- as Rafa tries to step into the role of ‘biggest brother’ and the fake Splinter pretends to be the father that they lost.

And he watches his brothers distance themselves, from each other, from him, each finding a place in this new world of few dangers and hostility that offers opportunities to walk in the sun- and suddenly it’s like they don’t need the tight bond that they’d always shared- no, that’s crazy, he knows it is- and then one day they all admit that times have changed and maybe they don’t need a Sensei anymore?

Obviously, he has to say something. Stand his ground. Call them out. His job is to keep his clan together. He is their Sensei.

And just when he’s starting to get his point across, the Rise brothers step in. Claiming that he’s being controlling, possessive, unfair. He has to let them live their lives. He doesn’t get to decide what they get to do or how they get to do it. Doesn’t he see that?

And Leo, faced at the wall of shells standing between him and his clan, his little brothers uncertain and uncomfortable, looking between the Rise brothers and him like his word isn’t enough, finally realizes why everything has gone so wrong.

And something snaps.

He doesn’t yell. He doesn’t shove. He doesn’t argue.

Leo just walks out. He knows where his fight is.

He almost forgot that the deadliest threats were the ones that helped you to your feet before taking a knife to your back.

So it’s a good thing that Leo has a shell.

Of course, once Leo sees through the ruse, once he realizes that his baby brothers are in too deep and won’t be able to see what those turtles have done- he takes matters into his own hands.

Not that he tells the turtles that he’s onto them. Oh no.

You don’t warn the monster that you’re coming before you enter it’s den. You lure it out, you weaken it, and you eliminate the threat.

And he intends to do just that.

Leo’s spent his entire life freeing his little brothers from monsters.

You were getting ready to go out, so excited to see your old friends. One of your best friends bands was touring and they were playing in the city tonight. You hadn’t seen any of them since the last time they came through and they called to ask if you’d come out and run their merch table for the night. Rafael wasn’t super happy about you going. With the types of cases he dealt with every day he always worried about you when you went out without him. You didn’t go out often like this unless you had friends coming through to visit.

“What’s the plan again?” he said for piece of mind.

“I’m walking to the venue now while it’s light out to meet up with everyone for a pre show dinner. Then Carisi is going to pick me up after since it’s right near the station and bring me home. If he doesn’t the band will bring me home or I’ll just walk to the station”

“You know I can come pick you up?”

“I know, I asked Carisi because I know you’ve been working so late and are stressed with work, so I’m just trying to let you rest”

The show had just started and you were all set up at the merch table.

9:30 Carisi: Hey, it’s been a quiet night so I’m out now. You want some company or I can come back later for you.

9:31 (Y/N): yea! Come check out the show, I think you’ll like it. You can help me sell merch!

9:32 (Y/N): I put your name on the guest list. So just give the door guy your name and they’ll let you in.

About 15 minutes later Sonny shows up, a couple drinks in hand. “This is awesome! Are these your friends?” He said excitedly. “I got you a drink if you’d like one”

You didn’t drink much but you, Rafael and Sonny went out for drinks sometimes so he knew what you drank.

Your friends band takes the stage and you guys are having a blast. After they played Carisi bought a round of drinks for the band and the two of you. You were so excited to see him having such a good time and you were excited to have people from both of your worlds together.

You guys were all hanging out around the merch table with the band and this guy comes up and starts talking to you.

“Are you here with anyone? Can I buy you a drink?”

With out thinking you reach for Carisi’s hand, who’s standing behind you. When you do he turns around and puts his arm around you while your still holding his other hand.

“Sorry I’m here with my boyfriend” you said

Carisi pips up with a “beat it pal she’s taken.”

The guy apologizes and walks away. Your thanking Carisi for going along with it when your hear someone yell “what the fuck is going on here” You turn around to see Rafael. “Why is your arm around her?!” He yelled.

“Rafael it’s not what you think, please don’t yell.” You said. You could feel your face turning beat red. Everyone was staring at what was going on.

“Well it certainly looks like you two have something going on behind my back”

“W-what? Rafa do you hear….”

“Get your stuff we’re leaving” he said cutting you off.

The car ride home was silent, neither of you said a word. You just sat there looking out the window not even looking at him. He barely put the car in park before you got out and headed inside to the elevator. He caught up to you while you were waiting for the elevator.

“So your not just not going to say anything?”

“I’m not doing this right now. I’m not going to get into a screaming match with you in the common areas of our building. It’s late, I’m not going to ruin anyone else’s night with this.”

Once inside our apartment he started in again. “So how long have you and Sonny had this thing going on?”

“There’s nothing going on with Sonny”

“Your really going to stand here and tell me that holding hands all cozy with my best friend is nothing?”

“It’s late and I’ve been drinking. I don’t really want to get into a screaming match with you over nothing right now. This guy was bothering me so I told him Sonny was my boyfriend. That’s literally all it is.”

“You expect me to believe that” he sneered

“Jesus Christ Rafa! I’m not fucking Sonny and Sonny is not fucking me! I was just trying to keep myself safe from someone who was bothering me, if you refuse to stop and think about things rationally and listen to me then that’s not my fucking problem.”

“If that’s true, then why the fuck was he there already? I though he was just giving you a ride home” he shouted with so much anger in his voice. The tone of his voice made your eyes well up with tears.

“He texted me part way threw and said it was a slow night, he was out early so he came to the show.

He just stared at you, like he didn’t believe you.

“I don’t know what you want me to fucking say Rafael if you don’t believe me ask Liv. We all know you love talking to her anyways.” You regretted it as soon as it left your lips. You didn’t mean for it to come out that way.

Compete shock rushed over your face. He had never done anything like that before.

He looked over at you to see you start trembling. You could feel your chest start to feel tight as a rush of dizziness followed right behind it. You knew you were having a panic attack.

As you wake up to a knocking on the door, you realize you must of finally let your body fall sleep. As you walk towards the door you hoped it wasn’t one of the neighbors that heard the fight last night. You didn’t even notice what time it was. You were still wearing last night clothes. You must of fallen a sleep in them. You catch your reflection in the mirror in the hallway. Your eyes were puffy and red from crying. You don’t bother checking the peep hole to see who it was. You open the door slowly to see Carisi standing there. “Shit shit shit is it already that time” you though to yourself. You hadn’t gotten any of your stuff ready. Looking down at your feet “I’m really sorry I have nothing ready yet, I woke up to you knocking on the door. I must of finally fallen asleep and not woken up when Rafael was getting ready for work.”

“It ok, I brought some boxes for you, I thought you might need some I don’t mind helping you”

You go into the bedroom and start packing up your clothes and personal items out of the bathroom while Carisi packed up your stuff from the rest of the house. Most stuff was Rafael’s or your stuff together so you didn’t have a ton of just your own stuff. The two of you finished packing and got the truck loaded up. “Go ahead down and I’ll be down in a minute, I want to leave a note for Rafa.”

The car ride to Carisi’s place was quiet. You were just so mentally and physically exhausted, your heart hurt and you really just didn’t know what to say.

You guys got everything all moved into the your new room, it would just take time to get settled. Carisi had gone out before he picked you up and bought you a bed so that would have one.

You were eating dinner in your room with the door shut. Not because you didn’t want to eat with Sonny but because you were trying to decompress from the last couple of days and just zone out without having to talk. You also didn’t want Sonny to see that you weren’t very hungry because you didn’t want him to worry.

You start To doze off when you hear Rafael’s voice talking to Sonny.

“Do you know where (Y/N) is? She moved her stuff out but I don’t know where she went.”

“If you don’t understand why you smashing a glass against the wall in our kitchen wouldn’t absolutely terrify for me, then I just don’t know what else to say to you. I shouldn’t of made the comment I did about Olivia. I admit that and I’m sorry that I said it, I regretted it the second that I did. But the anger in you voice and in your eyes that night when you threw that glass was scary. I’ve never seen that in you before. You got so heated about a situation you wouldn’t even let me explain to you. So I felt it was best to leave for a while. I love you so much Rafa, but the way our relationship has been functioning for a while now isn’t healthy for either one of us. We both need to work on ourselves if this is going to work. You need to work on not treating everyone in your life like there a victim from one of your cases. You need to trust people more and not work yourself to death constantly. That night I did something I’ve been doing since I first started going out to concerts with my friends, which was tell any guy that was being creepy or making me nervous that I was dating which ever guy friend I was there with so that they would back off or leave me alone. It’s simply something I’ve done to keep myself safe over the years.” By this point tears are streaming down your face. Sonny must hear you crying because he comes out of his room.

t felt good to be back home in Manhattan, you had been back and getting settled in for a week. You had been in (state or country) helping Casey after the birth of her baby and loss of her husband for the last nine months. But you came back when her mom was able to move out there with her. It’s was a nice cool fall day, your birthday was in a couple of days so you decided to go to your favorite coffee shop, grab a drink and wonder around. When you walked in your favorite baristas we’re excited to see you. “(Y/N) your back! Would you like your usual?!” One shouted. You pay and move to the pick up counter to wait for your order.

As your putting your straw in your drink you hear a voice from behind you.

“ I’ve only been back for a week” you reply.

“Would you want to take our coffees and go for a walk around Central Park? I hear the trees are beautiful right now.” He asks nervously rubbing the back of his neck, something he always did when he was nervous.

You grab your stuff turn back around and reply “I would love that” unable to control your smile.

You underestimated how happy you would be to see him, to hear his voice.

“Ok, I’ll grab my stuff and we can go!”the smile never leaving his face.

He held the door open for you as you guys made your way to the park.

You two wonder around the park chatting. You start fawning over the colors of all the leaves.

You blush not really sure what to say. You manage to softly say “Thank you” as you try to stop from completely turning red.

“I always loved our fall trips upstate to go to all the farm stands around your birthday, so we could get all the fall treats”

Him saying fall treats remind you that you have a apple hand pie still from the coffee shop in you purse.

“Well speaking of fall treats” you say pulling the hand pie out of your purse. You both bust out laughing about it.

“Want half?” You say as you break it is half.

“Your so damn funny” he says as he takes the half.

“What can I say I like to make people laugh.” You say teasing.

“Want to go sit by the water and watch the ducks?” You suggest

You two find a bench to sit at away from everyone else.

“We’re you back home staying with family when you were away?”

“Oh Sonny didn’t tell you? I thought for sure he was telling everyone”

“No I didn’t ask him anything other than how you were, I didn’t want him to feel any pressure”

Tears started to slowly fall from your cheeks. You try to turn away so that he doesn’t see you, but he does. He reached his hand over gently whipping the tears from your face. You lean into his hand a little, you missed everything about him. He slides closer to you on the bench putting his hand on your thigh, hoping you meant to lean into his hand. But I’ve been working on myself to change for the better. After the way we left things with our final conversation, it made me realize how jaded work and all the cases were making me. I realized I truly was treating everyone in my life like victims in my cases. I was running myself ragged, not taking care of myself properly which made me on edge and angry all the time. I’ve started going to therapy every other week, a couple days a week I don’t work as late and if I am going to work late I’ve been trying to bring it home with me more or go the coffee shop instead of just going to the bar and doing it. Which in turn has made me cut back on drinking. I’ve missed you terribly (Y/n)”

Let me say the things some people are afraid to say. Especially on social media and here, on tumblr where the main thing you do is blogging and people read them.

I hate the Rafa-Carlos comparisons. I love it when they're together cause they're both adorable and sweet (they need to meet up asap we need that father-son reunion). Or about how it's passing the torch, how Carlos will be the next line in throne and all that crap.

Let Carlos shine and grow on his own, let him be the player he is, and grow into the player he will be on his own, and not the player people picture he will be. I want to give that previous anon a hug because I know it’s just been one episode but damn I feel the same way, that TK has been shuffled to the side- like I’m happy for Carlos and Rafa deserves all the flowers and more but in one of the interviews Rashad said TK’s big story this season is the Jonah thing and that isn’t even happening until the seventh episode and it’s like- is TK just going to be sitting and waiting for Carlos to call until then?

And it’s just- Enzo and Jonah were not mentioned ONCE in season four- they didn’t attend TK’s wedding- why do they get to be his main story in the last season that we will ever get?

And for me it’s that TK and Owen were the cornerstone of the show and now it feels like that relationship doesn’t matter - like this is the second season premiere out of all five where they didn’t share a single scene - the other time this happened was season three- which was also a season of there were literally SO MANY times where an Owen and TK scene should have been included but wasn’t.

And I can hear it, I know I’m being a bitch and unreasonable, and I know it’s for other reasons (information you didn’t ask for and you might hate me for sharing; I also relate to TK a lot because my parents divorced when I was seven and I had a parent take a new partner immediately after- and two weeks ago my dad calls me and tells me that he and the woman he’s been with for twenty four years are splitting up/ like for fucks sake you aren’t supposed to go through your parents divorcing twice in one lifetime)

And no offense to Wyatt but for us to see more of him than TK- like I want to get there- but the knowledge that there are only eleven more episodes we’ll ever get- its not enough time.

The only thing I can really say as advice that no one asked for is to just wait and see. This fandom has a tendency (not you specifically but as an overall thing that I really notice) to do a lot of jumping immediately to the worst possible conclusions and then not really learning the lesson when it turns out they didn't need to worry. We'll get a screen shot - like the one of TK frowning at the taco truck - and people instantly decide that something terrible is happening to TK in that scene or Carlos is disappointing him etc because TK wasn't smiling for that one split second, and then the scene airs and that's completely not what was happening, and then it will happen again the next time we get a still. It happened constantly during season 4.

We just really don't know what's coming! It sounds to me like the Enzo stuff is actually going to be about TK and Owen, because the reappearance of TK's surrogate second father is going to make them both confront the fact that Owen wasn't around when TK was a kid. It sounds like the Enzo thing could make TK and Owen even stronger and even closer. If it turns out that TK doesn't have much to do in this season then that will suck and you'll have every right to have feelings about it. It just to me seems so harmful to yourself, ultimately, to decide things are going to be shitty before those things have even happened.

And well it's been three years now and the kid and Rafa are, inseparable, that isn't to say yall didn't suffer problems. for the first few years, there were a lot of arguments on whether Rafael could even take care of a living thing which was proved wrong when you told him to take care of your plant for a week and it died but his excuse was that "Plants don't communicate or cry" oh right crying.

The Crying.

The one thing you could not stand and that made Rafael's murder tendencies absolute. This little boy could not cry because he was immediately being carried, fed, and changed, and he was pointing the gun at the last person who was with the baby. Because if one thing would not happen under Rafaels watch was anyone and I mean anyone hurting his little boy, or as he liked to call him "his legacy"

Best to say that after the boy came, Rafael worked even harder so the kid could be spoiled rotten. And at some point, you concluded that you won't be getting rid of him any time soon, well not that you mind anymore. Anytime the house is quiet you can't seem to be at ease anymore, fair to say the little guy squeezed his way into both of your hearts. And hey maybe it's not so bad, after all who wouldn't want a family to call their own?

So, just random question. In the Full Ratchet universe does Rafael realize he’s in love with his s/o slowly or is there a specific moment that you have in mind?

Ohhhh. Good question. So, it sort of creeps up on him.

At first they both are telling themselves that it's just sex. Really, really good sex. But there's conversation and shared interests and etc....

At first, they're meeting for drinks and going home together from like, August - December-ish. And then she starts to realize she has feelings and avoids asking.

They leave the DA's office holiday party together (I have the notes for this story, but who knows if I'll ever actually write it at this point).

She gets drunk on Christmas and calls him, waking him up on his solo trip to Gstaad. She had meant to just leave a message but his ringer was on, and he proactively sort of makes New Years plans with her.

In January, there is this moment: Her POV, Rafa's. He also takes her out dancing around that time.

So.... he's probably got a pretty good idea that he's falling for her by late Dec/early Jan, but he doesn't want to dig too deep into that. He doesn't think he has time or space for that sort of thing in his life. But he also can't cut it off.

And then a few weeks laterish... maybe a month or so, they were on a date and got back to his place, getting hot and heavy on the couch, when he gets called in for an interrogation. And he starts to get ...anxious? That this is the beginning of the end because she’s clearly annoyed and disappointed that he’s leaving. She texts a few times, trying to see if he has an idea of when he’ll be finished but he misses them all since he’s in the interrogation. He expects her to head back to her place since he doesn’t know when he’ll get back, but instead when he gets home she’s asleep in his bed and just happy he’s back. He doesn’t say anything about his anxiety at this point, but is still worried that she’ll get tired of him (but also he doesn’t like that he’s concerned?).

This is another one I have some notes for, but don't know if I'll write. Some dialogue below:

“You’re still here.” “Mmm, I figured you’d have to come home eventually. Seemed like a good way to get to still spend some time with you” “You’re not wrong”

The paddockwhisperer comes to town, kind of a cross between deuxmoi and lady whistledown from bridgerton where there is an anon who spills a lot of secrets (none of them relating to intellectual property though, just some messy gossip). People don't take it seriously at first but it proves to be pretty accurate, especially when it reveals that a ferrari engineer and the hr head from merc eloped last week which was a huge thing (for the members of the two teams, it was a shock for the rest)

Pierre, being the gossip lover he is, checks it regularly. It even gets a few shoutouts on the sky lives. Pretty much the whole paddock is obsessed with it

Then one day, it claims that "charles leclerc, the championship leader and charmer extraordinaire, gave the deputy head of ferrari's legal department, rafa navarross, 29, a lap dance during a private celebratory party after the win at the last grand prix" and pierre sees it seconds after it's posted and is a little flabbergasted by it. He has a weird feeling in his chest and his heart is beating so loud but he chalks it all off and calls it bullshit, because the charles he knows is way to shy to do that and to especially do that in front of members of his own team. charles just won't.

the rest of the grid though, ofcourse do not let him live it down. they make indirect jokes about it in the driver's meeting , in the press con, in every opportunity. by the end of the thursday, charles is redder than his ferrari with the amount of time he has been blushing. pierre loves seeing it and so he too, joins in on the fun even though to him it's anything but fun. he has started to hate the name rafa, changed his favourite tennis player to roger because he has a limit. and ofcourse it has nothing to do with how he has seen charles and rafa laughing together at one point and it wouldn't be that big of an issue if rafa didn't have the body of a greek god. It's unfair is what it is.

Everything changes later than night though, when he, charles, lando, alex, max, george, carlos and daniel are crammed in carlos' room, drinking a bit while taking turns at playing fifa.

"sooooo, what does one have to get a lap dance around here" lando says while waggling his eyebrows as everyone else (minus pierre) starts to lose it, bastards all of them. "oh my gawde SHUT UP!! As if body had gotten it's own mind, pierre also jumped up saying he should also leave and rushed out of the room before anyone could say their goodnights

But he didn't go to his own room though, no, he followed charles back to his own room and after he had put the key card it, he pushed him up against the door, looking into his eyes before locking their lips together.

It’s a sad time to be a Tarlos fan. I’ve seen so many people jump on TK over and over again when he messed up, are now doing the same to Carlos. And the same people who defended TK because he was human and made mistakes are now the very same ones who continue to drag Carlos and Rafa through the mud.

I think the storyline could be better, but I also think calling their relationship suddenly unhealthy because of Carlos is a bit… too far.

Both of them have made big mistakes in their relationship, but it’s not up to us to decide how they should feel about it. Carlos swept TK fire house explosion under the rug, TK swept Carlos’ secret under the rug. They both have missed stepped, but it’s clear they love each other.

But for some reason the fandom continues to grow in toxicity… attacking both actors for whatever reason… I’m quickly loosing my love of this ship because of it.

I can’t control the fandom and what how they feel. I am a firm supporter and defender of both characters, but can see when they are in the wrong.

I haven’t seen anyone drag Rafa through the mud, I have seen some valid points against what was released in an article from a interview with him. Equating an AA sponsor and a secret legal relationship was bound to bring out some opinions.

I have really not seen people drag Carlos through the mud, in fact, I have mostly seen the opposite. I have seen a lot of “He is too pretty to be mad at.”, “Carlos baby does nothing wrong, ever.”, and a whole host of other excuses for why he didn’t tell TK (a lot of them blaming TK) other than the first couple of days after the 1st ep. Even then, I didn’t see anything like the hate TK got in 2x12 or 3x13 (or several others).

The first 48 hours or so after 4x01 aired was probably the most and really only time Carlos has gotten any real heavy fandom wide criticism to date (even then there were still the people that refused to see that he is human, not perfection). Since then, people started processing their thoughts and emotions, more critical, but not as angrily. Since Carlos’ storyline is technically 4 episodes, people are going to continue to be critical of him. Just like they have been of TK since the beginning.

Since you brought up 2x12, We see on screen what doesn’t really sound like Carlos brushing off the scene in the firehouse – but a confirmation that they had a conversation about it already, offscreen. TK literally says “About that other blow up at the firehouse” with Carlos replying “TK, we agreed. No one needs to apologize.” – That is in canon & we got to see it on screen.

We haven’t yet gotten any acknowledgement that Carlos even thinks what he did was wrong in the first place. We haven’t gotten any kind of in canon acknowledgement of it – it doesn’t even need to be an apology – just something that SHOWS us that Carlos realizes that his method of not talking about shit, just pretending it doesn’t exist until it blows up in his face isn’t healthy. Not for him, not for his relationships. Notice, I said not for him 1st. Carlos needs to show that he knows he is hurting himself with his actions – only then can he really see how his actions impact, TK, his parents, Iris.

This could be done in a scene of him talking to one or both of his parents, talking to TK, talking to a wall, I don’t care – but this man needs to talk to someone, preferably on screen.

Honestly, I find this a great time to be a Tarlos fan. We are getting a lot of them – we still have 16 more episodes left of the season, and while Tarlos won’t be the center of them all, we are getting so much more of them than we ever had. Ronen and Rafa have been pretty clear that TK and Carlos are a unit, that all roads lead to the wedding.

Maybe it is just Carlos’ time to be human, to have storylines that fans will be critical of, like they have with TK’s since season 1. In Tim’s world, if we want more Carlos, it will come with some things we might not like about him. Just like it has with the other characters.

I am here to enjoy the ride, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t question it, won’t call it out. I love TK and Carlos, equally and will continue to do so, even if I think they fuck up.

Lena sighed loudly as she plopped down onto the bed. Looks like she’s going to sleep alone…again…for the third night…this week. She knew Rafa was busy filming that movie for HBO but she feels like he never sees him anymore. She understands, she really does, with her having a demanding job, but it’s just that when she finally has free time, he’s busy and when he’s not working on anything usually she’s back at work. Just then the front door opened and she could hear Mia excitedly greet her boyfriend. She grabbed her wine glass, she had already had a few and with her irritation rising like vomit, she didn’t want to say anything to start an argument.

“Hey Mia, hey girl, where’s Lena?”

“Back here!” She called out, Rafa entered the bedroom with an apologetic smile on his face and takeout from her favorite carry-out.

“Hey, Lean,” He greeted he tried to kiss her but she moved her head back.  “Babe, I’m sorry, I know I’m late, I brought your favorite,”

“That’s nice.” She said dismissively as she scrolled down her social media

“I know, Lean, I know. I promise once the movie comes out, I’ll make it up to you.”

“Okay.”

“Lena, I promise, Friday I got you.” Lena wanted to believe him, but with his growing busy schedule, last-minute meetings, and phone calls, were taking precedence over her. She understood, she knew what she was getting into when they started their relationship but it doesn’t make it hurt any less.

“We’ll see.” She sighed getting comfortable

“Lena, you know I don’t like being away from you.” Lena wished he would just stop talking to her. She could feel her word vomit coming on and once she got started, she didn’t want to stop.

“I don’t know, maybe there’s someone else that’s taking up your time.” Fuck. She shouldn’t have said that but the five glasses of Pinot Noir say otherwise.

“The hell is that supposed to mean?”

“What I just said,”

“Lena, I’m so fuckin tired I don’t even have time to cheat on you even if I am, which I’m not.”

“How do I know that? We haven’t had sex in a month.” Rafa groaned in irritation, this is the last thing he wanted to do.

“Raf, the last time we had sex was after that Warrior's Game last month. I don’t want to talk about it anymore, can you put that food in the fridge before you go to bed.” With that Lena turned off the lamp on her nightstand and laid down to go to sleep.

After taking his much-needed shower, Rafa came out of the bathroom and smirked when he saw Lena who appeared to be fast asleep. He got in the bed, wrapping his arm around her waist.

Rafa has been busy these past few weeks, he knows that he’s been coming home later and later. He’s been at the studio almost every night this week, not getting home until well after midnight. Now that he thinks of it it has been a while, that’s when an idea hit him.

She checked her phone to see if Rafa texted her and he didn’t. Which was strange, usually he texts her if he’s leaving before she wakes up. Just as she was about to get out of bed, the door opened to reveal Rafael with a cup of coffee in hand and a brown paper bag from their favorite breakfast spot.

“Damn it, I was gonna surprise you.” Lena smiles softly at Rafa’s attempt to treat her to breakfast

“What’s this?” Lena asked, graciously taking the cup of coffee from his hands.

“I know I don’t deserve the best boyfriend award, but I want to make it up to you,”

“How you gonna make it up to me?” but first, I need an apology.”

“An apology?”

“Yeah an apology,” He smirked, Lena knew what he was trying to do but she was not going to give in easily

“What do I need to apologize for?”

After a much-needed shower, Rafa and Lean entered the kitchen ready to eat the food he ordered for them. He looked and saw a brown amazon box on the counter.

“Is that for me?” He asked motioning toward the package

“Yeah, it came yesterday I didn’t get a chance to tell you,” Lena said with a playful glint in her eye.

“Go ahead and open it, I got it for you maybe we can try it out today.”

In hindsight Rafa should’ve taken his girlfriend to see a different movie, hell they could’ve seen The Curse of La Llorona again but here they are at the fucking movie theater and Lena is fangirling over Captain fucking America and it’s pissing him off.

“Damn he so fine,” Lena muttered to herself she noticed Rafa shift uncomfortably and smirked inwardly. She knew she was walking on thin ice, but in all honesty, she wanted to see how far he would go.

“He not all that,” Rafa said earning a shush from a nearby moviegoer.  As they watched the fight scene Rafa noticed Lena rubbing her thighs together, making her leather skirt ride up, he clenched his jaw in irritation.

Lena had agreed to wear it but she didn’t think he would use it, they’ve been out practically all day, and now he decides to use it, at a movie theater in all places.

“Lean, can you hand me the popcorn?” Lena didn’t think anything of it, but she should’ve known better. When she grabbed the popcorn container, Rafa turned the vibrator on to the highest setting making Lena not only drop the popcorn but yelp out loud. In embarrassment she covered her mouth luckily something happened on screen, so no one thought anything of it.
