Upholding Luigi Mangione as a class hero isn't actually helping anything; not because killing the ceo was wrong (it wasn't) but because the man still maintains his innocence. You're doing no better than the cops and fraction of the public against the shooter's actions by treating Mangione as if he's unequivocally guilty.

Redirect your energy to fighting the police's bullshit prosecution and blatant public defamation of his image. Stop supporting him on the grounds of heroic actions. Support him on the grounds of there's still literally no proof he actually fucking did anything.

maybe cause im not catholic and don't completely feel the moral dilemma of an intersex man becoming pope. but the movie was going so well then the one person i didn't care about at all becomes pope because he gave one good speach?

like nobody knew who this guy was if he was supposed to be so important in the end maybe tell us more about how he was getting increasing number of votes each time since no one even knew him

or maybe its because i see intersex phenotype/gender dysmorphism more from a medical perspective and not a religious and social one i just don't find the ending very interesting after a all

On the same day, police detained 26-year-old Luigi Mangione, who is suspected of killing the CEO of a company that has denied thousands of life-saving healthcare claims.

Penny walks free after killing a man victim to the system. What will be the verdict for Mangione, who is suspected of killing a man symbolic of it?

As many have remarked, Brian Thompson’s tenure as CEO of insurance giant UnitedHealthcare was grisly. Thompson (alongside other higher-ups) allegedly conducted insider trading, selling millions of dollars of stock upon learning that the Department of Justice re-opened an antitrust investigation into UnitedHealth. While the company was on an upward profit swing, it has been awash in allegations and revelations of limiting mental health care coverage via algorithm, denying healthcare services needed after hospitalization at drastic rates via artificial intelligence, and denying insurance claims at a starkly high rate.

A gun killed Thompson. Paperwork has killed thousands.

Each case, obviously, is its own. But in each, contradictions of who is human, questions of who merits sympathy, and inquiries of what sort of society we tolerate, ring loud and clear.

Please, help my friend Anas. He's dying and his campaign has barely moved along.

This video was taken by the parents of my friend, Anas Ayesh. They spend days without eating a single thing.

Anas is a Palestinian med student who through a scholarship offered by the Venezuelan state got to study some semesters in the country. He returned to visit his family little before October 7th of last year and has been trapped in there since.

He's not well. He's ill and he suspects he's dealing with stomach ulcers. He needs you guys' help as soon as possible.

I've personally talked to him for a while now and he's such a great, intelligent and kind guy. Please help him as much as you're able to!

I'm really worried for my friend. He's very unwell and he feels like his last strengths are running out. He has been throwing up blood repeatedly.

I want him to survive, please don't abandon him.
