1. Samsung (Technology & Electronics)

I know George used Iphones but imo, Samsung would be a good fit to sponsor the team because a) their brand image definitely fit Mercedes & George a lot (bold, broad innovations, and of course, their main colours (Black, White, Blue) fits Mercedes official colour a lot or it doesn't clash against other colours, colour synchro is important too) + their CSR aligns a lot with Mercedes' as they focus a lot on energy efficient, sustainable, and renewable products

2. Cartier (Jewelry)

It is unlikely for Cartier to be a team sponsor, so i'd like to think of George doing a campaign for their collections. Was actually thorn between BVLGARI and Cartier (but then I thought BVLGARI would fit Lewis better, giving me maximalism vibes) whereas George imo, will look better with the simplicity that Cartier jewelry offers (i could honestly imagine Carmen & George doing this join Cartier campaign)

3. Brunello Cucinelli (Fashion)

This is highly unlikely as Mercedes and George are tied with Tommy Hilfiger (even if it happens, it would be an individual collab w/ George) but a collaboration with Brunello Cucinelli would blow people's minds. George actually wore plenty of Brunello Cucinelli clothes (one of them being the sweater he wore in Austria this year). Brunello Cucinelli emits the old money modest elegance, minimalism, and classic that would fit George a lot (as it seems like his fashion style is the opposite of Lewis' maximalism and stand out-ish)

plus, George is friends with THE Brunello Cucinelli's daughter alr on instagram 😜

4. L'Oreal (Cosmetics & Personal Care)

I might sound like i'm drunk but HAVE YOU SEEN GEORGE'S HAIR?! L'Oreal can easily make him their model if they become a team sponsor or collaborate with him on a personal campaign. It's a perfect objective for L'Oreal. That's if we're talking about the haircare part, but the skincare? George could too. His skin is *chef's kiss* perfect for a L'Oreal CF shoot on a beach

5. Hennessy (Alcoholic Beverages)

Haven't looked up the F1 policy on this since they seem to be sponsored by Heineken and idk if another alcoholic beverages brand is allowed to sponsor a team. But hey... FUCK THE ENERGY DRINKS WE ROLL WITH THE ALCOHOLS. George's fancy commercial with Hennessy, while drinking a cognac? I'll take it. Plus points for Hennessy is that sophisticated beautiful product design they had (the bottle designs) and the logo 🥹🥹 (i'm a sucker for logos okay)

Other optional replacements:

Ritz Carlton/Marriott Bonvoy > Intercontinental Hotel Group

It's British and had the same vibes and elegance of an expensive hotel just like Marriott Group & Ritz Carlton (I prefer Ritz Carlton over all) but yeah could be switchable. We can still see George doing silly Marriot Bonvoy-like CF

IWC Schaffhausen > Tissot Watches

There won't be a really huge change between Schaffhausen to Tissot as both of them are similarly classic Mercedes vibes.

Police Eyewear > Michael Kors

I just prefer MK's design over Police even though Police ones that George wears are good. Plus point for MK is that they're more well known (opinionated statement)

Monster Energy > None (?)

I don't think an energy drink company sponsor is really needed in George's Mercedes.

Possibly other brand types that i'm interested in for Mercedes to partner with : Airlines (Lufthansa/Etihad Airways) or Luxury Goods manufacturer (Montblanc/Fortnum & Masons/Harrods)

Other than these brands : i personally think Van Cleef & Arpels, Guiness, Bottega Venetta, L'Occitane, and Salvatore Ferragamo to be a great contender in being a good brand for George. But if we're talking about British stereotypes, Lipton should sponsor him LMFAOOO

Conclusion is George doesn't lack brands that fits his image branding and personality. Haters should not worry about who'll sponsor Mercedes/George. There are lots of brands that fit George's Mercedes and George Russell himself, maybe you should broaden your brand knowledge 🤭😝☺���

(This is the first time in a long time I've written het sex and it's long lmao not my best but I tried)

Declan Lynch had never considered himself to be particularly sexually adventurous. He’d had plenty of sex in general, an unhealthy coping skill he’d taken on after becoming de facto head of his family. One night stands with forgettable women. Literally in and out. 

But since Jordan, his view of and experience of sex had been turned upside down. 

There were things Declan had done with Jordan that would have never entered his mind in a million years. She’d opened up his mind (and his heart) to a whole new world of pleasure and he honestly felt like a completely different person. 

There were a lot of reasons for that, but the expansion of his sex life was certainly a part of it. 

It was their first anniversary. Declan had booked a suite for them at the Four Seasons in Boston. He’d finished work and was now sitting across the table from his gorgeous wife as they enjoyed a delicious dinner with a bottle of champagne. 

Jordan was dressed in dark green silk, her tattoos on display, her kinky hair arranged in a faux hawk. She was wearing all of the jewelry that Declan had bought her, including the enormous diamond engagement ring he’d given her (after the social security number). 

She glanced up at him, curious, and stretched a leg out to tap his shin under the table. 

“You alright, Pozzi?” she asked. 

Declan smiled and nodded. “Yeah. Just distracted.” 

“Mmm,” Jordan hummed, sipping her champagne, leaving behind a smear of red lipstick. “I can tell.” 

“You look beautiful.”

“So you’ve said. Several times.” 

Declan shrugged, not even ashamed. Jordan deserved to know how beautiful she was as often as possible. 

“You do, too,” she told him. “You pull off a suit so well.”

Declan chuckled, squeezing Jordan’s hand as her fingers found their way to his. 

They finished dinner and split dessert. Declan paid and offered his arm to his wife as they headed back to their hotel. They chatted idly, as they had been throughout dinner. About Declan’s work, Jordan’s latest project, making sure that they RSVP’d to Ronan and Adam’s wedding, where Hennessy and Carmen were in the world. 

They walked through the hotel lobby and Declan rested his hand on Jordan’s lower back as they waited for the elevator to take them upstairs. Jordan leaned into him, one hand sliding under his jacket. Her nails were painted a cool pink color that complemented her dress. 

They arrived at their floor and Jordan took Declan’s hand. He keyed them into their suite and they stepped inside. 

“Well this is posh,” Jordan said, walking through the entryway, Declan’s hands in hers. The suite was like a studio apartment. It was spacious, modern, and elegant. There was a beautiful bouquet of flowers on one of the tables and another bottle of champagne. 

Jordan kissed Declan’s cheek and pulled away to sit on an ottoman and take off her heels. Declan took off his shoes and met Jordan’s eyes across the room. She smiled, winked, slid the thin straps of her dress off her shoulders. 

“You’ll have to help me with this,” she said and Declan obliged. He kissed her shoulder, her neck, breathing in the spicy-sweet scent of her perfume, gently unzipping the dress. Jordan slid her arms from the straps and let the silk fall to the floor.

She turned her head and Declan kissed her, open mouthed and eager. Jordan reached up a hand, curling her fingers into Declan’s hair, his arms around her, palms sliding over her stomach. 

They pulled apart when the angle got to be a little too much. Jordan pulled off the pasties she was wearing, laughing, dropping them to the floor, and turned, wearing absolutely nothing but her jewelry and tattoos. Declan’s eyes wandered from her head to her toes. He couldn’t wrap his mind around the fact that this woman was married to him. It seemed impossible. 

“You’re wearing far too many clothes,” Jordan stated, hands sliding into Declan’s jacket, peeling it from his shoulders. “You look delectable in the fitted suits, my love, but honestly.”

Declan chuckled and Jordan giggled, working the perfectly-fitting jacket from Declan’s broad shoulders, dropping it to the floor. Declan’s heart rate increased as Jordan worked at the buttons of his shirt, taking off his cufflinks first, making sure they didn’t get lost, then the buttons at the front. Jordan’s nimble fingers slid the buttons free and Declan watched her face. 

Her dark eyes met his as her warm fingers delicately pulled the shirt apart. 

“Declan Tadhg Lynch,” she said, licking her red, red lips. “Lingerie? For me?”

“Happy anniversary,” he replied. “I thought you’d like it.”

Declan had been wearing it all day, which had been a rather interesting, transgressive sort of experience. It was all blue lace, the same color as his eyes, that did nothing to hide anything at all. 

“I love it,” Jordan replied. “Now I have to get you undressed faster.”

They both laughed, Declan sliding out of his shirt as Jordan worked on his pants. He stepped out of them, in nothing but the lingerie, Jordan’s eyes were very dark as she looked at him, appreciating. Declan’s cheeks heated and heat pooled in his stomach. 

Jordan held up a finger and twirled it and Declan stepped in a slow circle. 

“Stop,” she said, Declan’s back to her. He felt Jordan come up behind him, her hands curling around his ass, squeezing. 

“Blimey,” she hummed. “Aren’t you a delicious piece of Irish ass?”

Declan shrugged one shoulder and Jordan laughed, kissing the back of his neck, hands on his hips, tugging him around to face her. “Come here.”

It was Christmas at the Barns, Adam and the Lynches having gorged themselves on Brunch and holiday cheer. Jordan was there, by nature of Declan being there, but Hennessy was out in some place or other on some mission with Farooq-Lane. Jordan explained she didn’t celebrate Christmas and Ronan explained that, even if she did, she would much rather be playing her sexy cat and mouse with Carmen than spend any amount of time with Declan.

That did mean, however, that when Ronan suggested they go for a swim in the hole in the fields, no one immediately jumped on his idea with enthusiastic support.

Fucking wimps.

“Ronan, no,” Declan said, exhausted.

“Ronan, yes.” Ronan replied, easily. Matthew cackled.

Adam was way too used to Lynch family shenanigans but Jordan was still a relatively new player.

“Come now, Pozzy, it’s not that cold.”

“Well, now you’ve done it,” Declan sighed. “If I thought Ronan just wanted to run in like a polar bear thing that would be fine. But now, if he goes in, he’s not coming out until he loses some toes.”

Ronan waved this away. “They’ll grow back.”

“Yeah?” Adam raised an eyebrow. “How?”

“Like a starfish.”

“You’re not a starfish.”

“I could have starfish DNA. How do we really know?”

“Mor!” Adam called, his voice reaching into the kitchen were Mor A Corra and The New Fenien were doing their own private Christmas thing. “Were you thinking of starfish when you dreamed Ronan?”

There was a pause and then Mor’s voice just said, “No.”

Adam raised his eyebrow at Ronan.

Ronan pushed him over. “Asshole.”.

Matthew cackled again. Adam smiled and pulled himself back up to Ronan to kiss the side of his jaw.

“You could probably dream yourself some new toes,” Jordan said, frowning thoughtfully. “You have to be touching it to pull it out, right? So if you dream yourself with a full set of functioning toes and then wake up with them on your feet, would you have new toes?”

Adam hummed. “That is a fascinating school of thought. I mean, with that, you could dream yourself horns. You could dream yourself wings. But then I guess the problem would be undreaming them. Because you could probably dream something to add to your body but undreaming it might get messy. Lots of potential for body horror.”

“Yeah, wouldn’t that be something? Never dealt with body horror before.”

Adam elbowed Ronan. Ronan kissed the side of his head.

“Well I wanna swim,” Matthew said, grinning. “I won’t let my toes fall off.”

Ronan grinned. “Fuck yes. Matty, I’ll race you.”

Matthew immediately jumped up, already shedding his clothes.

“At least bring some towels so you don’t freeze on the walk back!” Declan called but Matthew was already out the door. He sighed. “I guess I’ll get the fucking towels. Jordan, will you help me?”

“Yes, love, I’ll help bring towels down. But I am also going to jump in.”

Ronan grinned, reaching out his fist to bump her. She bumped it back, her smirk looking like Hennessy’s.

Declan just sighed again.

Ronan got up pulling Adam with him. “You swimming, Parrish?”

“Obviously,” Adam said dryly. Because he is the one who dug the swimming hole with Ronan in the first place. The one who climbed into shopping carts and let Ronan drag him behind the BMW.

People thought he was the responsible one and it was hilarious.

Ronan kissed him, just long enough for Declan to make a long suffering noise, and then he pulled away. “Come on. I gave Matty a head start but I bet we can still jump in before him while he’s psyching himself up.”

“You mean I can jump in,” Adam said, and then he was sprinting out of Ronan’s arms, out the doors, and into the field.

Ronan let loose a joyous cry and followed.

I’m over halfway through the second book of the dreamer’s trilogy and Hennessy is such a tragic character to me, because when all of this is done what does she have? Like, Ronan’s actually invested in their cause and wants to be there, and when he inevitably changes his mind he has the barns, and Adam, and his brothers, and Gansey and Blue. Jordan, Declan, and Matthew are making a life for themselves in Boston and they’re happy, and even if something happens they’ll fall back on eachother. Hell, Farooq-Lane and Liliana have eachother and Carmen can always go back to her job in finances even if trying to prevent Liliana from accidentally exploding people and dealing with the repercussions of leaving the moderators proves to be an issue.

But Hennessy? What does she have? Her father doesn’t seem to give a fuck whether she’s alive or dead, most of her family died, the one person she truly cares about doesn’t really want to be a part of her life anymore and the saddest part about that is that Jordan is in the right there and Hennessy knows that, she knows that she’s stifling Jordan and that she deserves to truly live, and that’s got to hurt so much. And She doesn’t even really want to be a part of whatever Bryde’s doing, she knows it’s going to end badly. And she’s probably going to end up tricked into starting the apocalypse if Bryde isn’t stopped. And if there is a happy ending, she’s what? Stuck with Ronan? Neither of them are particularly nice to eachother but he takes it further than her most of the time. He desperately wants to keep her close but in his attempts to do so he is so cruel to her, and besides that he’s also probably ruining her a life a little (you know with the potential apocalypse starting). But honestly he might be her best bet at this point. And is she just going to go back to art forgery or like live on Ronan’s farm (which honestly might be worse) or something?

Like, I’m sure Jordan will still be willing to talk to her on occasion. And maybe she’ll make some new connections, or become friends with Farooq-lane and Liliana, or Ronan will stop being a dick to her once Bryde’s not in control. And maybe preventing the apocalypse will give a new sense of purpose and confidence. So like I guess she’ll probably be ok, but it’s looking a little rough right now.

I loved the chapter with Hennessy and Jordan the beginning idk I always liked their storyline in both this and call down the hawk but it’s like. the way Jordan sees through Hennessy’s lies + how she just refuses to act serious and listen to Jordan for like. Many reasons. Also I just reread part of call down the hawk and it’s kind of funny how they had a chapter with a depressed kids book author who had a mental breakdown and it never came up again he didn’t even die. that too though I feel like Liliana basically never got a lot of focus in a way that I feel like is kind of sad like idk. I do think it was an intentional choice to have the chapters abt her in cdth be from other peoples’ perspectives but I also think she wasn’t really given a lot of interiority until like the last second which IMO hurt the plot with her and carmen. personally. but yeah with ch7 of greywaren I think it was I was crying screaming and throwing up. or whatever

hennessy and carmen apparently still going strong four years later is the FUNNIEST shit. first, pour one out for my carlianessy dreams. gone but never forgotten. second, they DO fuck post GW and it’s a sexy time, but they are the absolute messiest most toxic couple to come out immediately out of the book i believe this in my soul. they get better but not for months. hennessy stays behind in boston for a week instead of going to the barns and jordan is like “hmm you’re staying back to provide emotional support to carmen of all people? strange choice but at least you’re making more friends” (ronan: ��� you aren’t coming back immediately so that we can never ever again be out of sight and sleep off everything together for the next 48 hours?). there is no emotional support being administered. hennessy tries for half an hour to be REAL nice because she’s like i’m literally fixed (???) but then they fight so bitterly it is a wonder the whole place doesn’t collapse immediately. they would have 100% made out after that, but carmen needs to get blood transfusions. yes this is happening in the hospital. hennessy paints the most dynamic, alive, STUNNING portraits of carmen every other week but also she burns them at the slightest hint of an argument. carmen has gotten really into german opera and weaponises it frequently. there is one (1) functional car between them all right now and that’s the BMW which they commandeer from ronan (hennessy to ronan as he gets smaller in the rearview mirror: ecoterrorise THAT asshole. read up on emission statistics!) there is a polycule, maybe even two separate but overlapping polycules, involved but also hennessy and carmen have their own special brand of terrible girlfriends relationship going on. jordan keeps walking on hennessy cutting off the sleeves of carmen’s linen suits and having to walk back out. they fight about the whole liliana thing and the zeds thing and nathan and rhiannon and mommy issues too, but nothing ever comes close to the argument they have about bonsai tree upkeep. (the argument is recreational for hennessy strangely academic for carmen). they get better but it isn’t really thanks to each other until at least year three post-GW

hennessy monologues so that she doesn't really have to say anything at all. her first sweetmetal since jordan in white was the notecard of her broken heart. she threw herself at the lace because she could handle the pain without the fear. jordan saw herself as just jordan without hennessy before hennessy could see herself as just hennessy without jordan. she gave ronan a snakeskin tattoo. she brought adam back from the lace. shit's about to get real touching and i worked too hard to not get the satisfaction of seeing it go down

not as much jordan as i would have liked but i guess she completed most of her arc in mister impossible? i just want more of her i love her so much she's just so GOOD. she barely knew adam but she fed him sugar water to keep him alive even when she had to fight to stay awake. how about i just take you out of that suit now instead?

ronan! RONAN! he's human but he's not. he's an ancient entity in a human body but he grew up in this world so now there's real human in him, too. it's declan who first makes him remember himself. he belongs to both worlds, actually, so he gets to pick which one he wants and he chooses the one with everyone he loves in it. he has to choose between adam and the world and he chooses the world even though adam is everything to him. he gets to keep adam anyway. he's maybe the most powerful entity in existence and his parents (dreamers? manifesters?) were worried that maybe he would end the world but he saves it instead and it's because he's so full of love

i left my adam-specific thoughts for last because i could literally launch from my seat and crash through the ceiling if i sit here and think about him for too long. his accent came back. don't call me he says but then he finds chainsaw and he cradles her lovingly like he clearly has before and he cries with his legs intertwined in ronan's and he scries even though it's dangerous. 'cause i made this fake version of me, right, and i was wide awake when i did it. he speaks to the lace politely. over the summer he tried to convince himself not to love ronan every time he was alone but fell apart every time he saw ronan again. his face just wore a raw relief, a peace

i'm gonna tear the epilogue out of the book, shred it into small pieces, and eat it. what the fuck. jordan and declan are getting married. hennessy is there with her girlfriend carmen and henry is there with his mom and all the fox way women are there too. gansey and blue are there and honestly it tracks that they're both sociology majors. adam transferred schools twice (something something he's finally realized he's allowed to make changes in his life if they make him happy instead of suffering through the present for the sake of the future) and now he works for some secretive government agency because of course he does. ronan tells gansey he wants a wedding like this and adam said the same. ronan and adam are canonically engaged. what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck

i love this book i want to be buried with it the end

wait i came back to add something because i just remembered. hennessy brought adam back with just enough pieces of himself to actually be adam. it's like gansey being remade all over again. i love that stief keeps bringing characters back to life but like, slightly off. it's soooooooooooooo

I did finish, and I have spent the last couple days off tumblr to have some more time to sit with it and see how I feel about it.

As a whole, it's a pretty fun read.

As a whole, if the Raven Cycle had been like Mister Impossible, I doubt I would have become fannish about it.

It's tough to judge, because this book was not the book that I wanted to get, and in many ways I knew that it was never going to be the book that I wanted to get, because I didn't like so many of the plot elements set up in Call Down the Hawk.

But there are other aspects where it wasn't what I'd hoped, in ways I wasn't expecting or had hoped would be mitigated. For one: It was obvious all along that this book was going to feature Ronan and Hennessy being alienated from their families and friends, but I had really hoped that this book would feature peak alienation and the third book could start from a place of rebuilding the relationships between Ronan and Declan, and Ronan and Adam, and Ronan and Matthew, and Hennessy and Jordan.

That, uh. That is not the book we got. That is not the trilogy we're getting.

Overall, when I try to put my finger on it, I just...missed all of those nice relationship moments that Maggie is so good at, and that The Raven Cycle has so many of? The moments that made me love the characters and relationships in The Raven Cycle enough to get so immersed in it? I mean, geez, this book features first Declan/Jordan kiss and first Liliana/Carmen kiss, and I just do not at all feel like I got to see and live and enjoy those romances! I wanted to actually watch them fall in love instead of just get told they're spending a lot of time together. I wanted to see Jordan and Matthew bonding over being dreams and like, yeah, we got a scene of that but...we got a scene.

There were lots of vibrant character moments, but I just didn't get the relationship growth -- or not even growth but just relationship existence, that I wanted. This was such a lonely, solitary, desolate book, and maybe that's what Maggie was going for, but, yeah. This wasn't the book I wanted.

(Also, real talk, where the fuck were Mór o Córra and New Fenian? We're just...dropping that plot thread? Like on a real meaty character level, they were such the obvious route for an arc of Ronan reconsidering his understanding of Niall, and his relationship with the memory of his father, which is the number one thing of all that I wanted from this trilogy. But more importantly, on a shallow level, I wanted more Declan angst and I wanted more opportunities to make Good Place mommy-girlfriend jokes. You're already making me put up with Fucking Insufferable Bryde for three books, Maggie, why you gotta take that away from me.)

About: There are spoilers ahead for Call Down the Hawk. Ronan, Hennessy, and Bryde are on a quest to restore the ley lines and make the world safer for dreamers. Carmen and Liliana are part of the organization of Moderators determined to hunt down dreamers and make sure they don't end the world. Meanwhile, Matthew struggles with the reality of being a dreamed person, and Declan and Jordan search the black market for something that can keep dreams awake even when their dreamers are gone. Can dreamers be saved, or will they inadvertently bring about the end of the world? Trigger warnings: death (on-page), domestic terrorism, explosions, car accident, guns, violence, injury, self-loathing.

Thoughts: There's rarely a chance that a Maggie Stiefvater novel is going to go wrong for me. They're always well-plotted, exquisitely written, and filled with fascinating, three-dimensional characters. I always enjoy being in her worlds, pretty much regardless of the subject matter. The distinctions only emerge when I start comparing her books against each other, and that's a matter of personal preference more than anything. In that respect, The Dreamer Trilogy doesn't touch the magic of The Raven Cycle or The Scorpio Races for me, but that might be an inherent flaw of companion novels. Keep following characters we love, and things are bound to get messy for them.

So while I enjoyed this book and I'll likely read it again, it didn't really move me. Part of it, I think, is a lack of interest in the side characters. I'm tangentially interested in Carmen's story, but not enough to be invested in her POV chapters, and I find Bryde tedious. He's that pretentious hipster in your philosophy class who thinks he knows everything and talks incessantly without ever actually saying anything of substance. Ronan's character is somehow diminished standing next to him. Kavinsky isn't in this book, but it feels like he's all over it regardless, or maybe it's just that Ronan's current struggle echoes the one from The Dream Thieves. I'd hoped he'd grown past some of that, but he is still very young and traumatized and, realistically, humans don't always manage to work through their issues on the first round. (Also, where is Adam for this entire book?) As baffling as it is to admit, I enjoyed Declan's chapters the most. He feels the most like TRC-era Stiefvater, and I really enjoy the complicated relationships between Declan/Jordan and Jordan/Hennessy. Hennessy's arc is especially good in this book, and while I always liked her, I love her a bit more now.

Another problem for me is how heavily steeped in art this book is. It feels like there's more discussion of art in this one book than there is about cars in the whole of The Raven Cycle. (I'm exaggerating, but only enough to enjoy myself.) I'm not a car enthusiast, but somehow Stiefvater made them interesting. I can't say the same for the number of weird paintings discussed in detail in this book, and I only managed to summon interest for the imaginary ones. The rest of the plot is like watching a train wreck in slow motion, not because it's badly done but because I hate to see things go so wrong for characters I love. The characters are college-aged now and, in many ways, the subject matter has advanced as well. This feels much closer to adult or new adult territory than it does to YA. TRC is about the breathless wonder of discovering magic; TDT takes on the very real, often devastating consequences of that magic.
