( @asklalu really coming out here with the DnD class drawing thing. Of course I had to participate. Destino is definitely a bard. It’s the charisma class. Not getting into combat head on. Now if we’re talking homebrew subclasses, the College of Quips is pretty much exactly what Destino would be.
I found it here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/85344-bard-subclass-college-of-quips?srsltid=AfmBOoqngt2De88OH4wgYn0gVcrVo078AkYSTjLKhyGUxLa8EPclnWtN

If no homebrew, probably the College of Eloquence. Still using words to influence others.
Destino is a tricky one for alignment but I’d probably say a true neutral. Fuck, I loved drawing this.)

The Conduit
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So heres the conduit! I'm very happy with how this turned out.
The conduit as a class is best described as a "Con Based Martial with spellcaster aesthetics", since, mechanically, it fills a martial role, being a class that doesnt use resources, with a primary party focus on dealing damage, while flavor wise, it goes around slinging blasts of energy at people.
This class mechanically is very much based on the warlock of 3rd edition, with flavour and some mechanical inspiration from the Kineticist of Pathfinder 2e.
The two core design elements that I tried to stick to with making this were 1. Being resourceless and 2. Customizability.
For the first point, none of the class features are limited in uses per day. No feature adds an additional resource for the player to track, nor uses spell slots nor etc. The closest it comes to a resource is its Exertion mechanic, where certain things tire out your conduit character. Though, this serves less as a resource, and more as a temporary debuff, reducing your damage output whilst its in effect, before being easily removed.
The second point is customizability. The first element of this is subclasses. Of course, theres the variety of subclasses to pick from, but notably, is that unlike other classes, you aren't bound to picking just one subclass. From 7th level onwards, whenever you reach your subclass feature level, you can choose to continue advancing in your subclass, or you can take the initial features of a different subclass. This means while you can do a more traditional route of going "I'm the lightning guy, I'm taking lightning every level", you can also do an avatar style "Master of 4 elements" and have 4 different subclasses by level 20. Mix and match them as you like, be the "Fire and Lightning" person, be the "I control water mostly, but also a little bit of ice", combine your elements and so forth.
The next part of customizability is in talents. Talents are very much your classic invocation style feature, of which there are... like. 60 of them at this point. But! Theres a lot of variety in what they do. While you have your choices of ones that give additional powers, like flight or teleportation or whatnot, a large bulk of them are dedicated to one thing: Reshaping your elemental blast. Go out there as a fire guy and blast people with fire, then turn around and literally explode everything around you in flames, then focus your blast into a roaring line of fire that pushes everything within it towards you, and then rush the last man standing with a spear made of literal fire.
The talents are designed around not just being able to reshape and modify your blast in a bunch of different ways, but you can combine them together and do cool stuff.
Because at its core, I wanted to design this class to fill a very specific style of fantasy, and thats of the type of magic you see in some settings where its just "I control this one element", and then from that the mage turns that into a billion different things.
A fire wizard will say "I can cast fire bolt, fire ball, and scorching ray". A fire conduit instead just has an elemental blast, but they can turn that elemental blast into a bolt that is hurled at one person, or have it explode into a ball of flame, or split it into multiple beams.
Its very much a creativity first subclass, and thats whats behind its capstone! The capstone is all of this at its epitomy, the ability to freely reshape your elemental power (By freely, temporarily learning talents) into whatever form you imagine.
Hell, customizability is built even into the very core of its flavour
Yeah <3
I hope you guys enjoyed reading this class as much as I enjoyed writing it and as much as I enjoy talking about it <3

We really want to add some text to our Grave Domain Cleric sticker. I keep coming back to the dark side for more, but it is still missing...something.
Some ideas we've been workshopping are:
- You die when I say you die.
- My healing comes with a countdown.
- Grave by Name, Grave by Nature.
- Your expiration date isn't up yet.
Or maybe just - "Gentle Repose" or "Spare the Dying" would suffice 🤷🏽‍♀️
Let us know your favorites!

HOMESTUCK CHARACTERS AS D&D CLASSES
I've wanted to do something like this for a while. Please let me know if you agree with my takes, and if you think differently, let me know! I love discussion! This is only going to cover the human characters for now. Let me know if you want to me to do the trolls too! BETA KIDS
John Egbert: I feel like John, as a Heir of Breath would be a Sorcerer with the Storm Sorcery bloodline.
Rose Lalonde: Rose, in my opinion, would be a Wizard. A Divination Wizard to exact, maybe Necromancer when she goes Grimdark.
Dave Strider: Dave would most likely be an Echo Knight Fighter. That was really the best thing I could find for a Knight of Time like Dave.
Jade Harley: Jade is kind of a weird case, despite being a Witch of Space, I don't think she'd be a Wizard. I think the best-suited class for her would be a Sorcerer with Lunar Sorcery. ALPHA KIDS
Jane Crocker: Jane is undeniably a Life Cleric. I feel like that just perfectly fits.
Jake English: Jake, as a Page of Hope, fits an Oath of Ancients Paladin the best.
Roxy Lalonde: Now Roxy actually took me a while to try and figure out. It was in between Wizard and Rogue, but in the end, Rogue won out. Specifically speaking, I believe Roxy would be an Arcane Trickster, however, if you think Roxy would be a Wizard, she'd most likely be the Illusionist subclass.
Dirk Strider: Like with Roxy, Dirk took me a while. Even now, I'm not entirely sure if my take is the best for Dirk. But I think an Oath of Vengeance Paladin would suit him quite well. Other classes I considered were College of Blades Bard and Phantom Rogue. Thank you for reading, once again, if you'd like me to do the trolls, let me know!

dnd shit that wouldn't actually be that funny but to me it's hilarious
Teifling culture that's not inherently hot or sexy, but just kind of average human culture from wherever they're from with a few slight differences
weed existing
Every single fantasy interpretation of elves since Tolkien living in different places in the world. And no one mentions it, this is just how elves are
Gods aren't real, Clerics are just the equivalent of mormons who have accessed superpowers by accident and annoyingly claim it's the will of their gods
As with the above: half the people a Cleric approaches will start go "oh no thanks, not interested" like they're about to get converted
Kenku. They're just so great I love these guys
Any character whose backstory for joining their class is secretly that they wanted to find themselves and didn't know what else to do with their life the same way indecisive college students pick a major
A historically accurate amount of people contracting tuberculosis

I teamed up with Universal Trinkets to bring my DnD Class designs to life as acrylic pins! (With the backing cars also done by yours truly). They're available for ~5€ a unit, or ~17€ for the complete set, and you can get a discount at checkout by using the code "Sygdom"! (I also get an extra from the sales if you use the code!)
For now the available ones are the Wizard, the Artificer, the Warlock and the Rogue, but the rest of the classes will be coming soon-ish. If you ever planned to get these designs, it's a good moment to do so!
(I still plan on selling them as charms and stickers myself, but that may still take a while- So this is a great opportunity to get your hands on them!)
You can grab them in there!! (And reblogs would be much appreciated!)

Steve's D&D Class
I'm talking if Steve was a D&D class as person and not what he would PLAY in universe.
I've been seeing this around the fandom a lot. And I have opinionsTM, having started playing on 2nd Ed (3.5 was out at this time, but the dude DMing hated it.) Now this is only if you are setting in canon time period.
The 2nd Edition of Dungeons and Dragons came out in 1989, so we're going have to go back even father.
The PALADIN when first introduced in 1975 and could only have ONE alignment. Lawful good. And could only be human.
Also they had to have REALLY high scores. Strength, Constitution, Charisma, and Wisdom.
Sounding a lot like Steve so far right?
Only here's where it gets a little...tricky?
(Copied from the Wikipedia)
A paladin must be of Lawful Good alignment in 3rd edition or earlier.
A Paladin may never willfully commit an evil act.
A Paladin cannot associate with any character who persistently commits acts which would cause the paladin him/herself to fall – notably evil creatures.
A paladin must remain truthful and forthright at all times.
A paladin must give fair warning and due quarter to enemies.
A paladin holds stealth, subterfuge, attack from the rear, missile weapons and especially poison as weapons of last resort.
See those requirements up there? That's where our beloved babysitter falls apart as a paladin.
The amount of crimes Steve commits in the first season alone preclude him from being a paladin. The under-aged drinking, smoking, and sex. The vandalism (even if he didn't do it himself he knew who did). Hanging out with Tommy H. and Carol. Then there's all the stuff in the following seasons where a paladin would take a LOT of issue with how the party works in general. All the breaking and entering they do, all the lying, because they're basically kids all the sneak attacks...
So what is Steve then?
In 1982 the barbarian was introduced. Constitution and Dexterity are their main ability scores. But Strength and Charisma are up there, too. Tanks in light armor, they take a hit and keep coming.
They have a "sixth sense" about things and abilities like back protection (a chance they'll sense a sneak attack), surprise, survival, tracking, first aid...
And even though it's not introduced (vaguely) until 2nd Ed., rage.
Season two the tracking of the demodogs. The surprise attacks he's really good at. His ability to hit hard and take harder hits. His being a lifeguard and knowing first aid.
And finally, that amazing scene with demobat. Biting its tail, bashing its brain (if they have them) in, and ripping it in half bare hand AND foot.
Like of course headcanon what you want and have fun, but this is just my two cents. ;)

Artificer: “I can absolutely keep a hummingbird as a pet, bro. It's no different than having a parrot, or a parakeet. It's a bird, bro.”
Druid: “You really can't, and I'm not saying I agree with it. It's just that bird law in this country- it's not governed by reason.”
Artificer: “There is no such thing as bird law.”
Druid: “Yes, there is!”
Artificer: “I'm gonna get a hummingbird, and I'll show you.”
Druid: “Hummingbirds are illegal tender.”
Artificer: “I'm gonna get one.”
Druid: “You cannot.”
Artificer: “To spite you, I'm gonna get one.”
Fighter: “Hello? Where are we with gulls?”

I'm sure everyone's no doubt seen this D&D class test going around
Well, the same people also made one for D&D race/culture/ancestry/whatever-we're-calling-it-these-days
and an alignment test
So I figured I'd just post them all in one place so we can make D&Dsonas
I'd be a Chaotic Neutral Tiefling Wizard
Reblog with your results, let's see what everyone is
