MY favorite ship trope is a trope that does not exist because it’s only happened like 3 times in fiction and by the definition of the word “trope” does not fit that category.

So basically you’ve got one lady and she’s a big, beautiful woman. Absolutely stunning. And she’s got a little hobby she does that she’s super passionate about. And she’s sweet and a little awkward but is overall a very enjoyable person.

Then you’ve got a guy. He’s lanky and frightening. Utterly abhorrent to be around. He’s like a rat of a human being and not in an unconventionally attractive way. And HE has these beliefs and ideals that he loves talking about. And everyone hates it. Even the girl, she moreso tolerates it than anything because she’s trying to be nice to him.

And they meet and they’re kind of awkward at first but eventually she falls for him because of just HOW weird he is. Like he is such an anomaly to her that she can’t help but love him. And then of course he falls for her because she’s the only person whose ever had any sort of positive connotations about him.

And then they kiss and are super happy forever.

I love the difference between the Beta Kids/Trolls vs the Alpha Kids/Trolls Beta Kids: We're all besties and awesome and nothing can stop us because we have the power of friendship!!! Alpha Kids: We are all emotional wrecks please SOMEONE give us attention. Beta Trolls: While we can get sick of one another, we're the only people we have, so we're like a found family and nothing will tear us apart! Alpha Trolls: I'm like 99% we all found each other in various dark alleys and internet forums and said "fuck it, nobody else is gonna deal with us so let's deal with each other."

I think one of the best moments I ever had in my life was when I was like 10, I learned about how radio signals worked and one day got so bored that I took an old radio and some magnets from my parents garage and went to my old local radio tower and hijacked the signal purely because I was not given enough attention.

Prince of Rage is such a funny classpect to me because people assume that Rage as an aspect is just that. Rage. But according to the extended Zodiac quiz: "Those bound to the aspect of Rage are bringers of chaos. No one knows if I'm telling the truth or not and it's so silly." Which DOES describe Kurloz to a tee, due to his love of secrets, but you know who ELSE it describes perfectly? THIS LITTLE SHIT

someone asked about the dancestors, so i drew some of them. its been a MINUTE since i read absolutely anything about them at all, so sorry if they're kinda off.

they won't really feature heavily in this au. a few facts, though:

these ones are in college

they play dnd together (sometimes kurloz comes along with meulin)

meulin and damara are sisters with their respective beta trolls, horuss and rufioh are cousins with theirs

those are prescription glasses; sometimes he wears contacts
