Unironically, my partner and I's favorite Homestuck characters fit so perfectly. Because I see a cat-themed girl who struggles with validation and needs to be seen as attractive to feel any sort of self-worth and I'm like "WOO! HELL YEAH! ABSOLUTELY! GO GIRL GIVE US YOUR FALSE FACADE THAT YOU HIDE BEHIND TO NOT REVEAL YOUR INNER TURMOIL AND FEAR THAT YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A REAL IDENTITY OUTSIDE OF THE MASK YOU WEAR!!!!" and those two characters just so happen to be the two that they kin.

Meanwhile, they see an absolutely miserable emotional wreck, suffering from an overabundance of shame with religious themes and she's like "I need this little freak in every possible way. His miserable wet cat rabbit energy and barely noticeable tremor have captivated me in ways previously unthought of." and they just so happen to be the two characters I kin.

They're also like just perfect ships too. Unintentionally perfect.

So I was looking through my drafts to find an old analysis post that I wanted to finish (no surprise it's about Kurloz), when I stumbled upon two back to back drafts that I do not remember in the slightest and I have no idea how long these rotten things have stewed in here for.

I'm at an utter loss for words and do not know when I made these. Also I'm Ace??? I am not one who jorks???

Sometimes I hate being such a big nerd because I'm literally spending my Saturday night pitting Pokémon champion teams against each other to see who would win and actually be the strongest champion. Now, the personal rules for this are: 1. No legendaries (This rule is solely for N because he would sweep. I replaced his dragon with Sigilyph. Also N is going to be considered the Gen 5 champion because I forgot about Alder while making this. He wouldn't have won anyway because half of his team is Bug.) 2. No held items, this is solely based on movesets, abilities, stats and the pokemon. 3. If the Champion's team has a member that depends on what starter the player picked, it will be the team that gives them the most coverage overall (Ex. Leon's team has Rillaboom in it due to giving him the most coverage) 4. NO GIMMICKS!!! No Z-Moves, Mega Evolutions, or Dynamaxing. 5. Kukui is the who I'm considering the Gen 7 "Champion" (Since his team also depends on starter choice, he will have Primarina since that gives him the most coverage.) and Steven Stone is who I'm considering to be the Gen 3 Champion. 6. Red and Blue will also be considered for the Champions because I think Gen-Wunners will end me if I didn't add them to my calculations 7. They will all be using their final main-line story teams with minor tweaks to make them balanced. I can't really think of any other things than that. So here's the in-depth analysis basically: Literally all of them with only TWO exceptions have team compositions that leave at LEAST half of their team weak to Ice Types. ESPECIALLY LANCE GOOD LORD ALL OF HIS POKEMON ARE WEAK TO ICE! Those two exceptions, are of course, the only two champions WITH Ice Types on their teams. That being Professor Kukui and N. So is that it? It's just a Professor Kukui vs N fight? WRONG! Because both N and Kukui's teams both have extremely big weaknesses against Fighting type Pokemon. Which, considering Cynthia has Lucario, does in fact cause problems. Also, Diantha's Hawlucha might cause problems- I'm just kidding that thing is 4x weak to Ice, it's getting decimated instantly. Looking at overall movesets and Pokemon, it is a REALLY close neck and neck battle between Cynthia, N, and Kukui as they have the most balanced teams. So, out of those three, who's winning? Well, breaking it down in terms of technicality and imagining if they were all fighting at the same time, the answer is kind of surprising. Cynthia and Kukui have a huge difficulty with each other's teams. As Kukui's Alolan Ninetails sweeps through a lot of Cynthia's team, including her ace, Garchomp. But Cynthia's Lucario also causes major problems with half of Kukui's team (Specifically Snorlax, Magnezone, and Lycanroc). N is actually in the worst position, having not only a big weakness to FIghting, but also Rock and Fire. Fire isn't as much as a concern due to Kukui having no Pokemon with Fire Type moves (if he had Incineroar he would actually be worse off due to Cynthia's Lucario) and Cynthia's only Fire move being Flamethrower on Garchomp, which N can counter with Vanilluxe. In terms of Rock, Kukui has Lycanrock, which is the only pokemon he has that is Rock Type and has Rock Type moves. Meanwhile Cynthia only has one Rock Type move, which is Stone Edge on Lucario, which actually helps countering N's Sigilyph, which would actually hard counter Lucario if it didn't have Stone Edge. But, what's crazy is that N has an even BETTER counter for Cynthia's Lucario, which is actually WEAK to Lucario. His Zoroark.

Unironically, N's Zoroark SAVES him due to having not only Flamethrower, but also Focus Blast, two moves that Lucario is weak to. On top of that, the only fighting move that Cynthia even HAS is Focus Blast on Lucario, which is a Special move and while Zoroark's defenses are nothing to brag about, it actually OUTSPEEDS Lucario! So N would actually end up breaking the stalemate between Kukui and Cynthia. N, overall, actually perfectly counters Cynthia's team solely because of his teams diverse moveset and stats! And here's the crazier part. Despite N's rock weakness, which Kukui has coverage for with Lycanrock, N also utterly destroys Kukui because of a SINGULAR Pokémon.

Carracosta crushes Kukui's Lycanrock due to Kukui not having any coverage moves on his Lycanrock, because Kukui's Lycanrock has nothing but Rock Type moves! And after that, Kukui has NO coverage whatsoever against N's entire team because the only other thing he's weak to is Fighting, which Kukui has NO fighting moves in his entire party! And N actually has a counter for every other Pokemon Kukui has on his team. Ninetails is beaten by Carracosta AND Klinklang. His Braviary is done in by Vanilluxe, Klinklang, and Archeops. His Magnezone and Snorlax are beaten by Zoroark. and that Primarina is defeated due to, you guessed it, Klinklang. Overall, N takes the crown as the "Strongest Champion" but don't forget that Ghetsis' team was made to counter N's, so he's not the strongest overall. In rankings it ends up like this. 9th: Lance 8th: Diantha 7th: Geeta 6th: Steven 5th: Leon 4th: Blue 3rd: Red 2nd Place: Kukui AND Cynthia (Seriously these two are like perfect foils) 1st Place: N. TLDR: N wins due to his team's diverse move pool and team composition. Thank you for reading all of this. I hope you somewhat enjoyed this.

As someone who gets unhealthily obsessed with characters in media and as someone who has played YTTD for over 3 years now, I must say that Nao Egokoro is objectively the best character, the massacre ending is the best one and blessing at that and I just feel like we as a society haven't been thankful enough.

Gamzee's treatment in Act 6 makes me so sick because he went from this troubled religious kid with problems with addiction and obsession to just being "angry violent guy". Which, firstly, shouldn't technically even be the case because he's a Bard of Rage. And Secondly, still shouldn't have happened because Post-Retcon Gamzee didn't even do anything and still got treated like crap. It's even worse considering that literally all of Gamzee's problems still would've been solved if John just brought Tavros back instead of Vriska. Like the retcon makes no sense in hindsight because Vriska STILL KILLS TAVROS and yet everyone is just chill with her all of a sudden??? Why???

I haven't made a homestuck post in a bit so I just wanna talk about how much Nepeta as a character makes me a bit sad. All Rouges in Homestuck have problems with romance related to their aspect, with Roxy, as a Rouge of Void, fighting to feel relevant and seen through attempting to be seen as a "fun-loving, hot girl". As well as Rufioh, as a Rouge of Breath, struggling to stay bound in a romantic relationship, cheating on Damara with Horrus and wanting to leave Horrus by the time we're introduced to him. Heart players also struggle with Romance. This is shown with Meulin (who I have made a post about because I love Olive Bloods), who has had a failed relationship with Kurloz and a toxic moirailigence with Horuss. And Dirk, who fails to realize that he only loves his own idea of Jake until going into trickster mode. Nepeta as a Rouge of Heart is a heartbreaking mishmash of both of these traits. Not many people know, but Nepeta uses her shipping wall as a coping mechanism for her feelings of loneliness. Her unreciprocated flushed feelings for Karkat don't help her in the slightest. Although a lot of the ships she has come true, due to the fact that she's a Rouge, she can only give the romantic relationships she craves to others, guiding others to a treasure she cannot possess. Despite this, she's a very upbeat and pawsitive character (pun intended). She holds no negative feelings towards Terezi despite Karkat having a crush on her, in fact, she doesn't hold any negative feelings towards any of the Beta Trolls, including Eridan, who she actually feels sad for after discovering he died. Speaking of Eridan, I would like to point out that both Eridan and Nepeta have a LOT of things in common and unique interactions that not many people talk about. Firstly, both Nepeta and Eridan are the only two Beta Trolls who never got kissed. Along with this, while Eridan's arc revolved around switching sides and wanting to join Jack Noir, resulting in his death, Nepeta's arc revolves around her undying loyalty to her friends, which also results in her death. Also, Eridan is canonically the ONLY troll in Homestuck to have any romantic feelings for Nepeta. Along with this, Nepeta is the only character besides Feferi that Eridan asks to be matesprits with. Small tangent aside, Nepeta's lack of aggression towards the beta trolls is due to the fact that she has the only healthy moirailigence in the entirety of Homestuck. Although she often gets upset at Equius' behavior, she overall enjoys his presence and have a mutually beneficial relationship, with Nepeta calming down Equius' constant inner anger and strength complex and Equius letting Nepeta vent her frustrations to him about her deep feelings of loneliness. Her loyalty to her friends and complex inner turmoil as a Rouge of Heart leads her to have a deep wish to experience a love that will never flee from her. She ends up feeling as though she needs to be loved in order to be whole as a person and although the feelings towards Equius are strictly platonic, it's that loyalty and understanding that leads her to want to save him from Gamzee during Murderstuck.

In the end, Nepeta as a Rouge of Heart is a girl with a simple wish. To find love in order to not feel lonely and even though she doesn't succeed, she still fights to protect those she holds closely and while I believe her arc should've been written WAY BETTER AND KILLING HER OFF WAS SUCH BULLSHIT AND HUSSIE DIDN'T EVEN BRING HER BACK WHEN JOHN GOT THE ABILITY TO DO THAT AND IT MADE ME SO ANGRY!!! She's still one of the most enjoyable characters in all of Homestuck and my personal favorite Beta Troll. *Cough cough* anyway read S33K THE HIGHB100D by @pastabaguette it's beautiful. *Cough cough*

MY favorite ship trope is a trope that does not exist because it’s only happened like 3 times in fiction and by the definition of the word “trope” does not fit that category.

So basically you’ve got one lady and she’s a big, beautiful woman. Absolutely stunning. And she’s got a little hobby she does that she’s super passionate about. And she’s sweet and a little awkward but is overall a very enjoyable person.

Then you’ve got a guy. He’s lanky and frightening. Utterly abhorrent to be around. He’s like a rat of a human being and not in an unconventionally attractive way. And HE has these beliefs and ideals that he loves talking about. And everyone hates it. Even the girl, she moreso tolerates it than anything because she’s trying to be nice to him.

And they meet and they’re kind of awkward at first but eventually she falls for him because of just HOW weird he is. Like he is such an anomaly to her that she can’t help but love him. And then of course he falls for her because she’s the only person whose ever had any sort of positive connotations about him.

And then they kiss and are super happy forever.

I love the difference between the Beta Kids/Trolls vs the Alpha Kids/Trolls Beta Kids: We're all besties and awesome and nothing can stop us because we have the power of friendship!!! Alpha Kids: We are all emotional wrecks please SOMEONE give us attention. Beta Trolls: While we can get sick of one another, we're the only people we have, so we're like a found family and nothing will tear us apart! Alpha Trolls: I'm like 99% we all found each other in various dark alleys and internet forums and said "fuck it, nobody else is gonna deal with us so let's deal with each other."
