Week 2 of my SKYTOBER 2022 Illustration Series!  Something about the prompts of that week *really* ignited my art muse, thus I began deviating from the original “only sketches” plan and let myself add color using different medium approaches!  This week’s cover art is inspired by the works of 96YUZU, one of my all-time favorite Sky artists.

the livestream after the bat live, the show had the bat seiyuu write letters to each other about each other’s live performances and of course it was compliment central there lol but during sakakihara-san’s letter to hayama-san, he had written

and hayama-san explained that he and takeuchi-san were supposed to stand in dj uichi’s area during one of their group songs on day two but had forgot while sakakihara-san was the only one who remembered and therefore was the only who did lol

during today’s livestream we found out sakakihara-san has not let it go lmao kijima-san hayami-san and dj uichi were saying how good of a live they put on but sakakihara indignantly asked, ‘was it a good live??? was it really?????’ since he’s still pretty salty about it lmao

you don’t say no when sugawara invites you to the club. it’s someone’s birthday, a friend of a friend that you can’t be bothered to remember the name of, because sugawara tastes like gin and ginger beer. your lips are numb from the nth shot you’ve downed.  

one arm is looped around your waist and the other holds an empty plastic cup. sugawara pulls back for a brief moment to admire you in your drunken haze. your shimmery eyeshadow captures the reflections of the club’s pulsing lights, lashes fluttering with each blink.

you cling to him. he loves it. 

“hey, kou-kun!” you half-shout over the music. “wanna ditch?”

the dj's playing some remix of a new song you don’t quite know the lyrics to just yet, but it’s the last thing on your mind. sugawara grins boyishly and his cheek dimples cutely. god, yes. 

you don’t even have to ask him twice. sugawara wants to drag you to his apartment with a plastic bag full of strong zero to get you through the night. he’s been undressing you with his eyes even before you stepped into the club, unzipping the skirt that’s too short and guessing the colour of your underwear (that is, if you’re even wearing any at all). 

you giggle and his head spins. sugawara thinks you’re way too fuckin’ cute.

“let’s go back to my place.”

he pulls you closer by the small of your back, kissing you dizzy one more time.

Walkerverse Character Tier List

Hello Walker Family! I'm here announcing the beginning of the Walkerverse Character Tier List series!

I've created a list of characters from Walker and Walker: Independence to put in a tier list ranking. I will be releasing a series of polls with all these characters (including pictures and brief reminders of their roles) to determine which Tier List ranking they get. Whichever option from S to F gets the most votes will become the official ranking of that character.

Here is the criteria I used to select the characters I'm putting in the poll series:

They must have a name on the imdb page

They must have a minimum of two appearances

I have to remember them, regardless of their appearance count

Single appearances that were special/memorable will also be included (ex: Uncle Willy, Minnie Jayne)

The rankings will be as follows:

S tier: Best character in the show, love them with all my heart, they can do literally nothing wrong

A tier: Beloved blorbo, one of my favorites, I'd want to be friends with them if they were real

B tier: I like them, but I have my critiques. A good character that I mostly enjoy

C tier: Mid character, not the biggest fan of them but I won't complain when they show up

D tier: I don't like them. I have many criticisms of their actions and personality. I may even dislike whole episodes because of them

F tier: Literally the worst character in the entire show. Hate them. Much dislike. I fastforward over them on rewatches.

I currently have pictures (for the poll and the complete tierlist that I will link when it is public) for 39 of the 120+ characters I put on the list, so that's where I will be starting. I will include the full list of all the characters from both shows below the cut along with the taglist.

It was a phenomenal night surrounded by amazing and loud people, chilled champagne, delicious three-tiered fruit cake, hot dishes and cold appetizers, good alcohol, great music and dancing until the morning. Your cousin was getting married that day and had a huge wedding full of attractions, games and food. Of course, you showed up at the party with your longtime boyfriend – Natsuya. You spoke to many people that evening; younger and older cousins, uncles and aunts, strangers, as well as the bride and groom themselves, who looked beautiful that day – your cousin in a perfectly tailored suit and his wife in a long white dress and light lace on the shoulders. It was so amazing!

Of course, you danced most of the evening with your boyfriend, your closed family and the bride and groom. There was a lot of singing, jokes, toasts and compliments. It was an perfect evening full of joy and love.

“... Psst, psssst, Y/N.” You heard a whisper to your right and looked at your female cousin. Miu was two years younger than you, and by the way very talented in art and music. Your similar age meant that you talked a lot together and often (if money and time allowed) you met together to talk about school, studies, work or health. “Look, I don’t want to say anything, but you’re our cousin’s age. When’s your turn?” She asked laughing and you only blushed red in the cheeks. You looked out of the corner of your eye at your boyfriend, who was having a great time at the sweet table and drinking whiskey with his peers and your uncles, and then you glanced again at the fair-haired girl.

“It’s a... It’s a contentious issue. I won’t pressure him...” You started calmly. “Although I would love to be on the, uh, next stage of a relationship, if I may call it that.”

“Haha, good to know. I have a plan to speed it up.” She said then quickly got up from her seat and winked at you. “Now I’m going to dance.”

“What plan?”

“See you later, Y/N!”

“What plan, brat?!”

At some point, it was midnight, the time of unveiling and capping ceremony and having fun. After several hours of dancing and singing, everyone could breathe a sigh of relief while the young couple thanked their parents and guests; the bride and groom gave flowers to their relatives and hugged the witnesses of this wonderful event. Then, together with the DJ who supervised the course of the evening, they invited all the girls to the center of the room so that one of them could catch a bouquet full of lilies of the valley and white roses.

“The rules are simple: during the song you walk around our gorgeous bride, then when the music stops you stop and wait for Yumeko to throw the bouquet to one of you. The one who catches it becomes the new bride!”

You knew with your bad luck you’d never catch the bouquet, so you just had fun to the beat of the loud song. Miu walked ahead of you and one of your aunts was behind you. The bride was having fun in the center of the circle with the photographer and cameraman walking around her. Suddenly the music died down, so all the women in the circle stopped.

You didn’t even register the moment when the bouquet was in your arms, and you, with a shock written on your face, looked around to find your boyfriend. When you found him, he just laughed shyly.

“Kirishima-kun, this time you can’t wait any longer, we’re all waiting for you!” Yumeko said into the microphone and you reddened all over your face again.

“... You’re welcome, my pretty dear cousin.” Miu smiled to herself and you shook your head.

Kaiba’s eyes flicked again to Jonouchi’s vacant desk. He needed to get onto him urgently.  Where was he?  Jonouchi’s familiar words sprung in his mind, as if in response: There you are! I was looking for you. And then an image, clear as day: the school rooftop, bright under the late spring sun.     Kaiba was never one to entertain visions as credible leads… but something about this drew his conviction. He looked at his watch– they were ten minutes from the bell. More than enough time to corner Jonouchi into his bidding, if the boy was idling around on the roof as he suspected. He stood.  “Thank you,” he said to Yugi, and had almost departed on his search before he found himself delayed by Yugi’s response.  “No worries, Kaiba-kun! And congratulations, on yesterday. It’s never easy to go up against Jonouchi. I can tell you really gave it your all!” Kaiba studied Yugi’s heartfelt expression for a moment. Wide-eyed, naive, believing. He returned the compliment with a cold smile.  “If you say so.” And then he left for the roof. He wouldn’t waste his breath to remind them that he could keep Jonouchi beneath him without a thought.
