[page 1] S: Hijikata-san! H: Oh, glasses. G: Um, have you seen Gin-san?
[page 2] H: Oh, so you're alive. G: Huh!? G: Is it a bad thing that I'm alive? G: Wait. G: Hold on, you're on break? H: Well, yeah. G: Are you here to see me? H: I'm just taking a walk. G: Hmph. I know you're here to see me, though. H: Die, idiot. G: What have you been saying!? Am I not allowed to be alive!?
[page 3] H: Earlier, H: I saw glasses. G: Shinpachi? H: Yeah. H: He was looking for you, y'know. G: …. H: You… H: What are you H: thinking of right now? G: What's this all of a sudden? G: Is it because of Shinpachi? S: Gin-san has been acting weird lately. S: This morning, too, he said he's just heading out to buy Jump, but… H: Nah. H: Well… H: Yeah.
[page 4] H: He was worried about you. H: Hurry up and go home. G: Pfft. That's why you were surprised I'm alive? G: Hijikata-kun, are you an idiot? H: Shut up. G: Hey, wanna listen to me? H: Sure.
[page 5] G: You know, I… H: Mm. G: I found myself thinking that I'm happy. H: Mm. G: And then I ended up thinking about whether or not I'm allowed to be this happy. G: And then, somehow G: I suddenly got scared. H: I see. G: If I'm at home, G: there's Kagura, and Sadaharu, G: and during the day there's Shinpachi, too. G: It's fun there even if we're not doing anything. H: Mm.
[page 6] G: I ended up thinking that I don't want to let them go. H: …. G: It's silly, right? G: I've never even thought about what's ahead of me or what my future looks like. G: Someday, they all will go to walk on their own paths and leave my side. G: This won't go on forever. I know that, and I don't have a problem with that. G: I'll tell them that I'm happy they all found something they want to do. G: But then I thought about what I'm going to do by myself when that time comes. G: I closed my eyes G: and tried to picture that now emptier room. G: And then…
[page 7] G: I can only see you there, Hijikata. G: Hey. G: Will you live together with me?
[page 8] H: Those words made my heart clench. H: Ah. H: I want to protect this person. I want to be by his side. H: That's what I felt.
[page 9] H: Things progressed surprisingly quickly after that. H: Kondou-san cried and was happy for us. H: The kids welcomed us. H: And then, we H: someway somehow, became a family.
[page 10] G: Hey. G: Hijikata-kun. G: If I die first, what'll you do? H: Let's see. H: I'll put my ring on you H: and then I'll put your ring in a small bottle along with some small shards H: and I'll carry it with me until my death.
[page 11] G: So we can meet again up there? H: Nah. H: Not up there. *taps* H: So that in our next life H: I'll keep you from being alone again.
[page 12] H: Hey, hurry up!
[page 13] H: You're so damn slow, you fucking perm! You want us to leave together, right!? G: Wa-wait a minute, okay! I'm coming now, dammit! H: Your slowness is gonna make me end up being late! G: Sorry, sorry. *step step step* G: Man, Mr. Public Servant Police Officer here sure is strict about time. H: You're the one who's too loose about it! Also, hurry up and find a job already! G: No need. Right now, I'm trying to think about what I truly want in life. It's an important time for me. H: You'll probably go to the Employment Service Center today, anyway. G: I can't say anything to that! H: Hey. H: You…
[page 14] G: Okay, then. Be careful. H: What are you thinking about right now? H: Yeah. You too. H: What do you see? G: I'm gonna make dinner and wait for you, darling. H: That's freaking gross. H: Are you not afraid anymore? H: Right now, H: are you happy? *clack*
[page 15] H: Me? H: Yeah. I'm here with you, H: so I'm happy.
[page 16] The following is an additional story for "Together." that I drew for REOLOG (my doujin collection). *Depiction of death *Post-reincarnation
[page 17] G: I've been holding on to it as long as I can remember. G: I don't know who it belongs to.
[page 18] G: G to T… G: G is for Gintoki, I guess? G: Then who is T… G: I have absolutely no idea.
[page 19] G: My mom said G: I seem to have picked it up out of nowhere when I was a baby. G: Even when they took it away out of fear of me accidentally swallowing it G: or threw it away because it seemed strange, G: before they knew it, it always returned to the palm of my hands. G: My mom then had the idea of putting that ring around my neck.
[page 20] S: Heey, Gintoki! S: The entrance ceremony is about to start. G: Yeah, I'm coming. G: I have no idea if this ring even has any meaning at all. G: But, G: when I look at it, my heart becomes calmer, yet also excited, yet also painful. It's strange. G: I'm sure there is a meaning. G: I believe that. H: Haha. K: And then, Otae-san was like…
[page 21] G: Hiji… G: …kata.
[page 22] *glare* *ba-dump* G: Huh? H: Who the hell are you? G: Oh, sorry. Did I say something? H: Huh? Say something? Nah. You called my name, right? G: N… Name?
[page 23] O: Hijikata-san! What are you doing? H: Tch. You damn perm. G: His name is G: Hijikata, huh… G: Hijikata? I said his name? I did? G: Why? G: …. G: Hijikata.
[page 24] G: Hijikata. G: Who is that? G: Hijikata. G: Is that someone I know? G: Hijikata. G: Who the hell are you? G: Hey, Hijikata. G: Will you live together with me? G: Who?
[page 25] G: Hey, Hijikata-kun. G: If I die first, what'll you do? H: Let's see. H: I'll put my ring on you H: and then I'll put your ring in a small bottle along with some small shards H: and I'll carry it with me until my death. G: So we can meet again up there? H: Nah. H: Not up there. H: So that in our next life…
[page 26] H: So that in our next life… H: I'll keep you from being alone again. *rustle*
[page 27] G: Hijikata… G: …Toshirou. G: Yeah. I remember now. G: I remember now. G: G to T. G: This is G: the ring I gave him.
[page 28] G: In our next life… G: We met. G: We met, G: Hijikata.
[page 29] -
[page 30] H: I'll go too, soon. H: Wait for me, okay?
[page 31] H: Yorozuya.
[page 32] -
[page 33] H: I've been holding on to it as long as I can remember. H: Who does it belong to? H: What shards are these? H: I have no idea.
[page 34] G: And then, Zura and Sakomoto's like… G: Then, Takasugi fell (lol) G: Hilarious, right? H: …. H: Hey, Sakata. G: What is it, Hijikata-kun? H: Which class are you in? G: H (Ecchi) ♥ H: Don't say it in such a weird way. H: And this class is? G: A Class. H: Then, let me ask you this. H: Why are you always eating lunch here everyday!? We're not even on the same floor. H: Furthermore, here in front of me!
[page 35] G: That's clearly G: because I want to be next to you, right? G: Just kidding. *GROSSED OUT* *fidgets* G: Hey, come on! Don't look so clearly grossed out like that! H: Stop those jokes already. G: Hahah. It was just a joke. Don't mind it so much. H: Geez. I really don't date guys, okay? H: ….
[page 36] H: ? G: I know, I know. G: Hahah. H: Sakata Gintoki… H: The first time I met him was on the day of our high school entrance ceremony. G: Hiji… G: …kata.
[page 37] H: Who the hell are you? G: Oh, sorry. H: A guy with lazy eyes that resemble those of a dead fish. H: Rarely-seen silver hair. G: Did I say something? H: It should've been the first time we met, but it didn't feel like the first. H: You damn perm. H: After that day, H: For some reason, Sakata took a liking to me and popped up in my classroom whenever he had the time. O: Oh, it's Danna. K: Ooh, Gintoki, you're here. G: Don't interrupt us. Get the hell away, Gorilla. H: Kondou-san is not a gorilla!
[page 38] H: The guy is suspicious, H: but I don't think of it as strange and end up hating it. H: In fact, that smile H: perhaps even feels familiar to me. *ba-dump* G: Hm? What's wrong? H: Oh, nothing. H: I never knew you wear that thing.
[page 39] G: Oh, this? G: You're curious about it? H: Nah, not really. G: Don't worry. I don't have a girlfriend or anything. H: L-Like anyone even asked about that! G: Come on, just hear me out. G: This is something I've been keeping safe for as long as I can remember. G: I've been holding on to it without even knowing who it belongs to or why I can't let go of it. H: Without knowing… H: All this time? G: Yeah. G: All this time. H: For as long as you can remember? G: Yeah. G: As long as I can remember.
[page 40] H: I was shocked. H: His story is exactly the same as mine. H: The ring in that bottle… H: And his ring… *thump* H: What is happening? H: There's a strange pain in my chest. *ruffles*
[page 41] G: Take your time. H: …. G: I'll wait.
[page 42] H: T to G. H: Does it mean from Toshirou to Gintoki…?
[page 43] H: That can't be the case. H: The first time I met him was on the day of our entrance ceremony. H: I don't think I've met him before that. H: But… is that true? G: I'll wait. H: Could it be that I've just forgotten? H: I want to remember. H: I feel like I have to remember. H: If there really is something to remember. H: Or do I just want that to be the case? H: I don't know. H: On his ring… H: Are there somebody's initials carved on it?
[page 44] H: Sakata. H: Sakata Gintoki. H: Who are you? H: Sakata Gintoki. H: Really? H: Sakata Gintoki. H: I called his name like that?
[page 45] G: Hey, Hijikata-kun. G: If I die first, G: what'll you do? H: Let's see. H: I'll put my ring on you H: and then I'll put your ring in a small bottle along with some small shards H: and I'll carry it with me until my death. G: So we can meet again up there? H: Nah. H: Not up there. *taps* H: So that in our next life…
[page 46] H: So that in our next life… H: I'll keep you from being alone again. *shock...*
[page 47] H: Right. H: I know him. H: I know Sakata Gintoki. H: Something as important as this… H: How could I forget… *grip* G: Hijikata-kun. H: Tch. H: Damn it…! *runs*
[page 48] H: Haa… H: Haa… *ring* *ring* H: Hey, where the hell are you? H: What? H: Heading back home from work? Where!? H: Whatever, just tell me! H: Huh? H: Near the park? Then right now I'm… G: Hijikata!
[page 49] G: Hey, what's up? H: Sakata… H: Gintoki. G: Hijikata? What's wrong? H: Sorry. G: Hm? H: I said I'll keep you from being alone, but… H: Sorry. G: … H: You've been in front of me all this time, but H: I didn't realize. I'm sorry. H: I've never even called your name properly. H: I'm really sorry,
[page 50] H: Yorozuya.
[page 51] G: Hijikata, you… H: Hey, Yorozuya… H: Can you put it on me, too? G: …
[page 52] H: Hah. H: It fits me perfectly. I've been holding on to it as long as I can remember. I don't know who it belongs to. But…
[page 53] G: We finally meet, Hijikata. G: Don't cry. H: I'm just sorry for making you wait. H: Also, I'm not crying. G: You're totally crying. H: I'm not crying.
[page 54] Those faraway memories, bond, love. The miracle of being able to meet again.
[page 55] I won't let you be alone. I'll be by your side. To make you happy. To become happy. From now on, too, always.
[page 56] Together.

nuts reading in jp 11 - wrap up for vol 2 + i can talk about TriStamp undertaker wolfwood a little!!! whooo!!!
its been hella weird to read trigun in japanese since my first read was in english. i think i dug out a few extra stuff i didnt know existed in the work during this little journey. (thank you for joining in on my rambles!)
no real translation word related stuff today. mostly culture stuff dump.
but man i was right on the money when i said vash was stressed in #10. i forget he actually falls unconscious after dominique quits the narrative. yay~
me after i finish these posts at 5am every time
and then, him.
🥺✨✨raidei the blade. ✨✨ 🥺
listen. this guy. this fucking guy is, personally, the funniest guy in the entirety of trigun. for that line above in the 98 anime, and also for some stuff he represents. ...and it's not for larping reasons. ill get into that another day, please look forward to it. (i say this knowing his backstory was rough.)
anyway its time.... for Wolfwood's 'job change'.
in the manga he introduces himself as a tradesman Priest. it doesnt make much sense to outsiders but despite people getting confused, it mostly gets hand waved off as the guy being a little eccentric. and also prideful.
we then get more information about that being a cover for him being one of the Gung Ho Guns, Chapel. he can fight, hes an assassin, his job is to somehow get at Vash while being technically employed by Knives.
this wolfwood has absolutely no struggle with himself as a Priest specifically. heck, its even giving him some confidence bc he actually knows his stuff and can get by with those priestly things alone. at least, i assume so, bc otherwise the pride thing would be very misplaced as he is revealed that he really wants out of the insane GHG business, and wants nothing to do with his coworkers, as it were.
but TriStamp Wolfwood is... different in that pride regard
this version of wolfwood introduces himself as an Undertaker. he's technically a Priest, but he clearly lacks so much pride that he chooses to be an Undertaker.
the narrative tracks since he's the guide to send Vash to hell in tristamp, but theres at least 1 more layer to this.
so, Shinto! Shinto has played a very big part in Japanese culture and history since idk the beginning of Japanese history, affecting society and culture and governance.
key thing for this post: Shinto has a concept named Kegare/Defilement, which you can think of as an accumulation of evil energy. bad energy. bad enough to attract misfortune, evil spirits, and evil evil evil bad bad bad. (ive actually written about this in video game context before if you wanna read it here)
Kegare is generated upon death, blood, menstruation, and all that. in some modern media, Kegare can also be depicted to be generated by an accumulation of negative emotions from people. but for the longest time, it was mainly Death. (oh and somewhat also women with the whole uh.... you know, menstruation, childbirth, and stillbirths etc.)
but: Kegare is NOT sin, and should not be seen as such.
old japan governance also used Caste System. so combine that with shinto, and society and here's the not fun stuff: we now have a discriminated class of people who did all of society's very necessary but deemed dirty jobs. these are the Butchers, Leatherworkers, Executioners, and Undertakers. (which is wild. a society would not be able to function without them.)
they are shunned, deemed too dirty, too tainted, too polluted to ever have a hope of having a better life. since social mobility wasnt a thing with Caste System. and coming too close to them means pollution on the self too.
the Caste System got abolished, and today the descendants are called Burakumin 部落民. they are still being discriminated against to this day. the remnants of the dirtiness with certain jobs still remain, especially with jobs that involves the dead. its also possible to know who is a descendant of one through family names, which can be used to trace family registry and sus out old residences etc.
youtube
feel free to watch the above video for a clearer explanation by a japanese man instead of just taking my word for it >_>
back to wolfwood.
studio orange making him go from Priest to Undertaker is likely rooted in a logic associated with this. that TriStamp wolfwood lacks the confidence to have a strong identity outside of GHG, whereas manga wolfwood has. that TriStamp wolfwood really does think of himself as trash and worthless even before outsiders' judgement, whereas manga wolfwood's struggle is more about an internal struggle of being lost.
manga wolfwood is also never truly free from his identity as Chapel until the very end.
but TriStamp wolfwood gets a full contract saying that hes free from Chapel (i assume!)
i think theres also additional implications but im losing braincells by the minute. the change makes so much sense and tracks so well that apart from the confidence thing, everything is more or less intact.
(worth possibly nothing also, I think TriStamp wolfwood isnt fully checking boxes of uhhh Normality in japanese context. hes dressed in a mess, hes not clean shaven, his skin is kinda dark and not fair, he speaks in non-standard japanese. but ymmv, he will be ok in kansai at least, but not fully fitting in in Capital Tokyo nor ex-Capital Kyoto.)
i also, admittedly, dont know much about the culture surrounding death and undertakers within the states or europe so i cant comment much on that aspect. im aware i must have missed something. on that front, sorry D:
anyway thats all i got for now! thanks for reading this long ass post! EDIT: IMPORTANT ADDITION - Baptism parallel with Shinto

Okay hear me out but GHG au
JGY is a control type player, with a skill like a mesh of puppet Zhang's and Bai Liu's! He can buy and trade for souls (and use the skills of souls he owns). He can also control other players via puppet strings (that only last until the game is over, or until he takes them off)
His skill is that because of his core desire for agency/control in his life
He owns SMS's, XY's, and MXY's souls.
SMS is a tank/defense type player, his skill ups his defense (similiar to Miao Gaojiang). His core desire is to protect/defend (JGY), but in a body to the bullets way. He's a human shield
NMJ is an attacker - his skill consumes mental value to make his physical strenght and attack stronger. His core fesire is justice, and his way of attaining it is through violence. He is also unstable. So his skill makes him stronger but consumes his sanity
LXC's skill lets him paralysed players and monsters with music. His core desire here is peace, but also to be able to make peace when necessary.
XY is a healer because of XXC (which I'm not sure how it would translate to a modern au). He wants XXC back really bad. He's known as a sanguinary sadist, but his skill heals other players.
MXY's skill is to trap players in a space controlled by himself. I think he would have a skill because his like, frantic nature, and the "I'm never gonna see gege again" of it would make him just barely be first on his (relatively small) batch of newcomers. His skill is that because his desire is JGY, and JGY for himself.

look......... it's Knives..... I can't explain you just gotta trust me here
(auto-generated translation into English just doesnt convey anywhere near the correct tone. this is one of those poems where you really need to hear it read and feel the violent apathy spitting from it. but anyway AHH. it's knives)
some analysis under the cut:
It's written in the French alexandrine (12 syllables, usually split into 2 equal hemistiches of 6, with alternating 'masculine' and 'feminine' rhyming couplets). I can't quite explain the masculine Vs feminine rhyme thing to non french speakers, but it's the -ette / -ade / -iennent (t not pronounced) endings which contrast with the -vieux / -pu / -beau etc etc masculine rhymes. It just gives the poem a really gorgeous flow and structure and I'm sad that it's basically impossible to fully replicate in translation - if you want to feel the original, then maybe listen to a recording of it while looking at the English translation
the 'bed which transforms into a tombstone' is just such an incredible line I love it so so much. In the original, 'fleurdelisé' means 'decorated with the fleur-de-lis' (⚜️) which was the symbol for the french royal family. I just love the imagery around royalty and a place of rest being twisted into a grave. None of the riches of the world can save this king who cannot find joy or beauty (or any emotion, really) in the world, not even in bloodshed
ALSO the line 'ce cruel malade' (= this cruel sick [man]) is so so so interesting. In french you can use adjectives as nouns so 'malade' means sick/unwell, but also can mean a sick person. But here it reduces the entire person to their sickness, which is super fascinating because it suggests there's no possible recovery and it's something fundamental to who & what they are. AND THEN there's this 'cruel' added in front of 'malade' - normally in french the adjective goes after the noun, and putting it before (i.e. ce CRUEL malade) really emphasizes the adjective. And ahhh the image of this tyrannical sickness is so cool because we usually see sick ppl as helpless / victim to circumstance, and so someone being defined by their sickness AND cruelty is both unusual and emphasising their agency AND ALSO their lack of agency in their situation. It's SO fitting for knives because he is 'malade' in the sense that his trauma has defined and shaped everything about him, and he didn't really have any control over this 'illness'. BUT he responds to it with this cruelty and apathy that leaves him isolated from the world that he rules over and subjugates.
and also not to overthink things but 'les dames d'atour pour qui tout prince est beau' - there is NO real loyalty towards him from his inner circle. Every prince is beautiful for them, and so every prince is interchangeable. They are with him because he is a prince, and they don't actually value him beyond his royal title. The GHGs work for Knives because he's the most powerful guy, not because they actually are loyal to him or care much for his cause, with the exception of legato doing his grotesque song and dance trying to please Knives but never actually gets the approval and thanks from Knives that he craves
reading Conrad as the wiseman who can create gold (presumably via transmutation i.e. alchemy i.e. impossible) but still cannot cure the rot within Knives (l'élément corrompu)
#also my favourite french poem#millions knives#trigun#i am devastated that you can't convey how this poem needs to be CRACHÉ and i cant find a recording that does it justice#i love this poem but if you ask me to analyse it i shall go :) no :) i cannot :)#rambles

ive been trying to come up with a way to talk about my take on The Argument, but honesty i can't get past these pages where Wolfwood shoots Rai-Dei. there are four panels on this two page spread, and no words, but god there's so much said in it. i keep flipping back and forth between it and the next page like "holy shit wolfwood. holy shit wolfwood." like. like we know. we've known since volume two of trigun that wolfwood was one of the GHG. we've known! this is knowledge that we have had for multiple volumes.
i literally cannot get over the expression on wolfwood's face in the pages leading up to their fight (and this expression lingers through their fight, mind you)
like
hellO????
like!!! this is the start of their argument!!! wolfwood cannot let vash die. and if he has to kill to do it he's going to kill to do it. vash is supposed to suffer. he cannot suffer if he's dead.
and this is the lead up to their argument. they have such philosophical differences about life, Vash believing every life is precious and that everyone can change, where Wolfwood's convinced that people won't. he thinks Vash is foolish - is naive for not taking the GHG seriously. Wolfwood wants - Wolfwood needs - to know Vash is taking this seriously, is prepared to kill if Vash wants to keep everyone else alive.
Wolfwood needs to know Vash is prepared for the shit Wolfwood knows - or suspects, if he doesn't know off hand - Legato is going to send.
hence this panel.
(yes i did just straight up copy the alt text from the post i made about being unable to cope with this panel. it ruins me.)
And then Vash reads him for fucking filth.
Vash's heart is breaking for Wolfwood, who cannot see a way out of the grave he's dug. Vash doesn't want to kill but he's broken for the way Wolfwood cannot see any other way to survive.
Like. the whole of page 106 hurts, but the way the Overhaul translated these panels is. Oof.
(the Dark Horse translation differs. Vash's speech reads: You... told me back then... that my face looked better with a real smile. If you could see yourself through my eyes now... You'd see a man forcing himself to play the Devil while his own heart cries out.
It's a little more poetic, but both of the statements cut Wolfwood to the core.)
They're talking past one another! they care so much about one another but their love languages differ so hard. (and i don't even mean this in a shipping way tho you could take it that way)
Augh. They're idiots. We'll see later that Wolfwood knows what Vash is, because of his experiences with Knives. (Wolfwood was there when Knives got reborn, after all) and he's seen Vash fight. He just. Doesn't know if Vash can kill one to save the many. (The start of their first fight in Stampede, their first true fight, is because Wolfwood shoots Rollo/Monev the Gale. Vash asks why. Wolfwood says its out of mercy.)
Anyway, there's some other really good meta about this fight (@needle-noggins has a nice breakdown of it) and if/when I find the posts I'll drop links in the comments/reblog with them.
I'll also upload what i could figure out of the transcript when I read through their argument in order to figure out how i was even going to talk about it to google docs and drop the link to that in the comments as well.
If you're still here, idk, Vash read Wolfwood for filth in front of God and everybody, which in this case was an empty town, Rai-Dei's corpse, and Zazie, who's been watching them for who knows how long at this point.
#trigun#trigun maximum#trigunbookclub#vash the stampede#nicholas d. wolfwood#trigun meta#myde reads trigun#got a little unhinged so i put most of it behind a readmore

How weird half of the interactions between Knives and Legato are, really.
This one. Legato says that Knives' "orders have changed" and they now don't have to kill Vash... But wait, Knives never ordered to kill Vash in the first place? And making him suffer by the hands of the GHG is also Legato's own initiative, he made up a coin game just for that. It was implied from the beginning that Vash would defeat all the GHGs to collect the coins, and only after that Legato would finish him off.
(This translation is from Overhaul).
So Legato lied and Knives didn't order any of this? But Legato reports back to Knives later in the story. Or is Knives like, "Okay, let him do whatever he's doing, I'll just pretend that it was my order." But it's not like Legato's gonna think, "Wow, what a coincidence, Master Knives ordered something I was going to do anyway."
Why not tell Legato something like "Keep using humans to torment my brother, but don't you dare kill him"? Why turn everything into a game of pretend, like let me pretend to give you an order and you pretend to do what I tell you to do? Is this some kind of role-playing thing going on over there?
That said, Knives knew Legato would try to kill Vash despite what happened the last time he tried, so he ordered Wolfwood to protect Vash. But he didn't tell Legato about it.
Again, why not just threaten Legato that there would be consequences if he tried to disobey again? The popular answer to this question is that Knives doesn't trust Legato to reveal all his plans. But when Legato notices Wolfwood's "betrayal", Knives, instead of playing the fearsome leader and saying "He has special instructions, it's none of your business", reacts like this.
He's reacting like he stole a cookie. He starts averting his eyes, reacts with "!!" when Legato raises his eyes at him, pretending to yawn. In the original, there's also a "..." when he talks about Wolfwood's role: "... guide .... and babysitter." And please note that right before this scene there are several pages where he's a badass villain who crushes humans like insects without a drop of pity.
And then he can't look Legato in the eyes after he found out about his little lie (really though, was he counting on Legato not noticing?). I don't think this contrast in behavior is shown here by accident. Is it to show that Legato is a special case once again?
Anyway, it looks hilarious.

doop doop here's my thoughts and things and translation weirdness I find as I re-read ch 3 of Trigun Maximum vol 3
(NOTE: I'm reading the Dark Horse [physical] and the Overhaul [online] translations side-by-side)
(Dark Horse on left, Overhaul on right)
...I mean, I guess???
(Dark Horse on top, Overhaul on bottom)
okay, to me this looks like another case of Dark Horse watering down the language so they could market the manga to a wider and younger audience
also...is it just me, or does Dark Horse tend to make Wolfwood markedly more poetic...?
THANK YOU, OVERHAUL. this part always struck me as like...unnecessarily weird and out-of-place. in your translation, it is not. as always, everything flows better and makes more sense - both in terms of wording and context =u=
and then after this, fucking. "We will be back after a brief intermission." Leonov is easily the most fun GHG for me rn - so messed up and such a lil shit... 😆
OH HEY, SPEAKING OF WHICH :DDD
subtle differences here - but for me, the Overhaul's translation does a better job at conveying the horror of this scene/realization...
(also, the expression Wolfwood makes next...and considering who else's immortality he's been struggling to come to grips with...really, Gray is nothing compared to the real deal, no?)
...meanwhile, the art alone - the silence and stillness of it - is what does it for Vash's ordeal.
...idk how to put how I feel about the translation discrepancies here into words beyond how the Overhaul's has more punch to it for me, like...it affects me more than Dark Horse's, which is a good thing.
and across these panels (across 2 pages), notice how Vash still aims low when fighting the puppets - he still goes the "non-lethal" route on non-living opponents. it's still just about disarming/disabling, not destroying.
it strikes me here with the Overhaul's translation how Leonov's stage performance-based language like...separates him from the reality of what he's doing? or something? idk, words hard.
fun fact: that name is what got me started on figuring out my preferred name - many, MANY years before I knew I was trans!
(...the further I get in this re-reading, the more I'm realizing just how important the story of Trigun is to my sense of self today...)
#trigunbookclub#text postan 2k23#prolly not gonna use my usual purple highlighter much anymore#I think I'm spending too many spoons editing the pics so. imma try to save them for the analysis from now on.#I don't want reading the manga and making these posts to become things I start to avoid due to executive dysfunction;;;;;

The Role of Carbon Calculators in Promoting Sustainability
In the face of climate change, individuals and organizations are increasingly seeking ways to reduce their environmental impact. Carbon calculators have emerged as a valuable tool for measuring and managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. These digital tools allow users to quantify their carbon footprint and identify actionable steps to mitigate it. Whether for personal use or corporate sustainability efforts, carbon calculators serve as a bridge between awareness and meaningful action.
What is a Carbon Calculator?
A carbon calculator is a digital or software-based tool that estimates the amount of GHG emissions produced by a particular activity, individual, or organization. It evaluates various factors such as energy usage, transportation habits, waste production, and consumption patterns to calculate the total emissions, typically expressed in metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e).
These tools can vary in complexity. Some focus on specific aspects, like transportation or energy use, while others provide a comprehensive overview of all activities contributing to emissions. Advanced calculators even incorporate localized data to provide more accurate results.
Importance of Carbon Calculators
1. Raising Awareness
Carbon calculators play a critical role in helping users understand the extent of their environmental impact. By translating daily activities into tangible metrics, they make the concept of carbon emissions relatable and comprehensible.
For example, seeing the emissions associated with a daily commute or energy consumption can prompt individuals and businesses to reconsider their choices and adopt greener practices.
2. Driving Behavior Change
Once users are aware of their carbon footprint, they are more likely to adopt sustainable practices. Carbon calculators often provide tailored recommendations, such as switching to renewable energy, using public transportation, or reducing waste. These actionable insights empower individuals and organizations to make informed decisions.
3. Supporting Corporate Sustainability
For businesses, carbon calculators are instrumental in tracking emissions across operations, supply chains, and products. They provide a foundation for setting reduction targets, meeting regulatory requirements, and enhancing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
4. Aligning with Global Goals
Carbon calculators align with international climate goals, such as those outlined in the Paris Agreement. By quantifying emissions, they enable users to contribute meaningfully to the global effort of limiting temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
Features of an Effective Carbon Calculator
Not all carbon calculators are created equal. The best tools share several key features that enhance their effectiveness:
Accuracy: Incorporating up-to-date emissions factors and localized data for precise calculations.
User-Friendliness: An intuitive interface that simplifies data input and result interpretation.
Customization: The ability to tailor calculations to specific industries, regions, or lifestyles.
Actionable Insights: Clear, practical recommendations for reducing emissions.
Integration: Compatibility with other sustainability tools, such as GHG accounting software or energy management systems.
How to Use a Carbon Calculator
1. Collect Data
Start by gathering relevant data about your activities. For individuals, this may include utility bills, travel habits, and consumption patterns. Businesses will need to assess operational metrics, such as energy usage, transportation logistics, and waste management.
2. Input Information
Enter this data into the calculator. Many tools use guided questionnaires to ensure comprehensive input. For instance, you may be asked about the type of fuel your vehicle uses, the square footage of your home or office, or the volume of waste generated.
3. Review Results
The calculator will provide an overview of your carbon footprint, broken down by category. This breakdown highlights high-emission areas, helping you prioritize actions for maximum impact.
4. Implement Changes
Based on the insights, take steps to reduce emissions. This could involve adopting renewable energy, optimizing supply chain logistics, or offsetting emissions through certified carbon credits.
5. Monitor Progress
Regular use of a carbon calculator allows for ongoing monitoring of emissions. Tracking progress over time helps maintain momentum and ensures sustained impact.
Examples of Popular Carbon Calculators
Numerous carbon calculators are available to suit different needs:
Personal Calculators: Tools like CoolClimate Calculator or Carbon Footprint focus on individual and household emissions.
Corporate Calculators: Platforms like the GHG Protocol’s tools and Climate Neutral Now cater to businesses and organizations.
Industry-Specific Calculators: Tools tailored for specific sectors, such as agriculture or manufacturing, provide precise insights for niche applications.
Challenges and Limitations
While carbon calculators are powerful, they are not without limitations:
Data Quality: The accuracy of results depends on the quality of input data. Estimations or incomplete information can lead to misleading results.
Accessibility: Advanced calculators may require technical expertise or significant resources, limiting their usability for smaller businesses or individuals.
Action Gap: Awareness does not always translate into action. Without clear incentives or support, users may struggle to implement changes.
The Future of Carbon Calculators
As technology evolves, so will the capabilities of carbon calculators. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are expected to enhance their precision and usability. Integration with IoT devices, such as smart meters and wearable trackers, could enable real-time monitoring of emissions. Furthermore, gamification and social sharing features might drive greater engagement and community-wide impact.
In the corporate realm, carbon calculators will likely become integral to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting. They can support compliance with emerging regulations, such as carbon pricing and emissions disclosure requirements.
Conclusion
Carbon calculators are a cornerstone of modern sustainability efforts. By quantifying emissions, raising awareness, and guiding actionable change, they empower individuals and organizations to reduce their environmental impact. While challenges remain, the growing adoption of these tools is a testament to their value in combating climate change. As we move towards a greener future, embracing carbon calculators is a small but significant step toward achieving global sustainability goals.

[Review]我在惊悚游戏里封神
Title: 我在惊悚游戏里封神 I became a God in a horror game
Author: 壶鱼辣椒
Length: 588 chapters + 1 chapter
Tag: Modern, unlimited flow, horror, action, found family
Summary [taken from novel updates]:
After losing his job Bai Liu became involved with an unstoppable horror live streaming game full of various monsters and players with killer intent.
Initially, everyone thought Bai Liu was just an ordinary person who strayed into the game.
Later, they realized it was this game that welcomed its god with victory and a laurel crown saying, “Welcome home.”
Novel | Novel[translated]
Comments **contain spoilers**
Per the summary, Bai Liu lost his job and entered a dimension where people with abnormally strong desires became players in a series of horror games. Each game is inspired by - or influenced by - a key player’s background. Failure to win results in death. Yet despite Bai Liu’s unassuming background, he managed to survive each game by using his knowledge of game design, his wits, and - let’s be honest - incredible ‘luck’ . In doing so he also prevented the games from being loaded into reality. Along the way, he made close friends that became his allies-cum-family, and also reunited with his lover: Tawil/Xie Ta/Spades.
GHG has appeared on my TL numerous times and was highly recommended by fellow unlimited flow enjoyers. However, it took me quite a while to gather enough courage to dive into the lengthy novel. Frankly, my view of the novel is mixed - there were moments where I couldn’t stop myself from flipping the page and other times where I seriously considered dropping the story.
To break down my opinion of the novel: structurally, GHG follows the typical unlimited flow formula, with story arcs centered around different horror setups, and chapters in-between serving as intermissions and fan service. The latter usually happened in some central area of the dimension or back in reality, and tend to be more comedic in nature to assuage some of the tensions from the horror games. Each horror game is related to one of the major characters’ backstory, with varying levels of realism and entertainment. I preferred the arcs that were either more horror-oriented or had more realism. Case in point, I enjoyed the first two arcs <Siren Town> and <Burning Railway>, the former being a more Eldritch-esque horror, and the latter being more realistic. In comparison, the <Rose Factory> and <Orphanage> arcs tested my patience. Not only were they more action-oriented, but the setting was also too fantastical for my liking. It didn’t help that these two arcs happened to be the longer ones and formed the core of Bai Liu (MC)’s character.
Where GHG differs somewhat from the standard unlimited flow formula is that 70% of the novel is pretty much focused on an ongoing tournament where players are pitted against each other. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, a higher-level game is unfolding between the Evil God Bai Six and the Prophet. This higher-level game is revealed in mysterious bits and pieces to the reader, and it takes a while before all the puzzles fall into place. What this means is that GHG is what I consider one of the rarer cases where the story gets better and better in the later parts where most things are connected eventually (usually it is the opposite where the ending is anticlimactic compared to the setup), so I would really suggest holding onto the ride, even if some of the earlier arcs weren’t that great.
Next point: the characters. This is probably one of GHG’s greatest strengths, but also one of its biggest weaknesses (especially at the start). The MC Bai Liu is smart, unorthodox, money-hungry, and a risk taker. He enjoys gambling against the odds and repeatedly puts his (and his teammates’) life on the line. It’s obvious from the get-go that MC is a Gary Stu and somewhat of a heartthrob. But being an OP character in and of itself is not that bad; my greatest pet peeve when it comes to the Gary Stu trope is having a narrative that contradicts what is shown about the character. For example, MC is portrayed as smart and cunning, but that is at the expense of lowering the other characters’ IQ to accommodate his brains. The audience repeatedly makes the same mistake of mocking MC’s actions, only to be slapped in the face; even the Puppeteer Zhang Kui with his high IQ couldn’t beat ‘nobody-MC’s’ tactics. MC is also said to be very unlucky, but he somehow defied the odds of dying at every turn. Where other characters had their HP quickly cleared to 0, Bai Liu’s HP clung onto its last units, even going so far as to enter the decimal range (HP of 0.5). The story also kept mentioning how evil MC is, but his actions speak otherwise. There was never a point where Bai Liu’s supposedly intense desire for money overpowered his baseline of harming other characters needlessly. What’s worse, the MC is protected time and time again by the god-tier Boss Tawil (i.e., ML), so his survival of the games seem less because of his intelligence and more because he has an OP lover.
That being said, many of these issues lessened as the novel progresses. Bai Liu met other strategists that are on par with his intelligence (examples being Lu Yizhan and Liu Jiayi) and the HP reduction becomes more balanced between characters (most of them also entered the single digits). Tawil is also absent for most of the story and mainly existed as a background character haunting Bai Liu’s memories. As the ML, Tawil is portrayed as a mysterious Cthulhu-like character and I find it hard to pinpoint his personality due to his lack of presence in the story. Consequently, I found the relationship between Bai Liu and Tawil bland. HOWEVER, if you enjoy the angsty trope of two lovers who can't be together, then this ship will likely float your boat. Personally, I prefer the Bai Liu x Spades ship (yes yes I know Spades and Tawil are technically the same person), which is more quirky and humorous.
Main couple aside, I love, love the side characters and their backstories. In particular, Tang Erda, Fang Dian, and Lu Yizhan were my favorites and I wish there were more fanworks of them. What can I say? I have a soft spot for the older, more parental characters who’d suffered so, so much in all the different timelines. At least Lu Yizhan and Fang Dian got their happy ending; I wish Tang Erda and Su Yang could be together too QAQ. As a side note, boy does the author love Bai Liu’s waist and Tang Erda and Spade’s chest - because they won’t stop talking about it (not that I have a complaining hehe).
In terms of the genre/plot, the title is a bit misleading. Whilst the first two arcs do touch upon a bit of horror and game-related elements, the novel overall is more action-oriented and focused on the found family trope. Don’t make the same mistake I did entering the novel thinking it is horror-focused and getting my expectations misdirected…There are also a few world-building aspects that were introduced in the beginning that are later dropped or undermined, and honestly, often for the better. The livestream audience plays a more prominent role in the first half of the novel, with their support often influencing the new players’ survival outcome. However, they are also extremely dumb, so I’m glad that their roles were reduced once the tournament started. Another plot-point that was diminished was the monster book. Players filling up the monster books would get additional rewards, but it became apparent early on that this was often used to unnecessarily drag out the arc (i.e., the story having to force 3 monsters per arc rather than ending where appropriate). The only thing I wished that was not dropped was the part about players being able to make a wish at the end. Sure, Bai Liu’s actions sort of negate all the wrongs, but I had hoped that some of the players were able to make their own wish.

So am I hallucinating or is this a bootstrap paradox? (GHG spoilers)
Anyone else read this novel who can tell me if I'm way off in my understanding of the plot?
I'm gonna need to read the whole thing again to understand it more clearly! Right now I'm having a hard time keeping the timeline(s) straight. (I'm not even done yet, and I'm forgetting what happened in the beginning! At the Witch Trial arc now. It's so slow because machine translation is a pain and so is learning to read Chinese!)
Here's my attempt at sorting it out (major spoilers!):
Ok, so the original Bai 6 is an actual "evil god" (Yog-Sothoth) who controls (? or is) the gate through which infinite (well, lots of them, anyway) world-lines go. Observing the mortals in the worlds, he thought they were interesting. They evolved qualities that he did not himself possess. So he messed around with them, as you do. Also, he got bored and wanted to retire, but only if his replacement was more powerful than him and had this weird thing, this "soul" that the mortals are able to develop. So he experimented to understand what it means to have a soul and how to generate one. Apparently love and suffering and connections to other people are involved…
He creates a living image of his ideal person, but it is basically just a soul-less statue. But since he doesn't understand it himself, he fails to create any souls. He tries all kinds of things to awaken Tawil (his perfect statue), but Tawil has no understanding of love, hate, resentment, suffering, friendship, etc.
He also drops mortal clones of himself into each of these world-lines, but they turn out to be disappointments, too.
The humans show some promise (especially Fang Dian, who is probably the ultimate catalyst for salvation, by what I've read so far… hopefully the rest of the story doesn't ruin her for me) so evil god Bai 6 starts up a game with them. Fang Dian is locked out as a hostage/stake for the game, so the main opponent ends up being the Prophet. They mess around with the rules a bit to get the balance right (a boring victory is useless for Bai 6). Maybe the struggle from their opposition will get him what he wants!
Now we are in trial 658, the last world-line in the game.
It's different: Lu Yizhan is dropped in when Bai Liu (called Bai 6 at the time) was 14, still at the orphanage, at the time of Xie Ta's "death", hugging the corpse at the bottom of the pond. The change is because XT drags LYZ in early and begs him to save the boy, who XT says is a good boy, not like all the others. LYZ hesitates, but takes a huge leap of faith and doesn't kill a (so far) innocent child.
Now why would XT think that? It seems that in every previous world-line, young B6 was attracted to XT (a fellow outsider and physically appealing to him because Evil God!B6 made XT that way) but XT ignores him completely no matter what B6 does to get his attention. Frustrated, B6 ends up murdering XT (it doesn't take, obviously). B6 only knows power/money/greed and ends up in the game.
Ok, but in 658, XT is different. He has a soul! He takes the initiative to befriend B6. And as a result, B6 learns from XT's friendship, and begins to develop a soul, too (and falls in love with XT). Later, LYZ and Fang Dian reinforce that, and the renamed Bai Liu really does become a good boy, even though it takes time and he is very walled-off and suspicious at first (and he was right, LYZ did have ulterior motives!).
So how did XT grow a soul?
In the Boathouse (Evil God Ritual) game, which was the original first instance in all previous world-lines rather than Siren Town, Evil God!Bai 6 had manipulated things to give his "statue" (Tawil) love and suffering, but none of it touched Tawil… until Bai Liu is dropped back into that world-line, #657. (In the body of his teen-age self, but with his adult memories.) This Bai Liu is in love with "his" Tawil, but this one, being from an earlier world-line, doesn't have those memories yet. This Tawil is still the one that doesn't understand human feelings and lacks a soul.
This changes when Bai Liu visits him in the temple. Tawil begins to feel something for him, but maybe it's just because he's there, he can meet his eyes without going crazy, and so on. That isn't a true, two-sided love, so Bai Liu keeps visiting, but stays outside and refuses to talk to him. Love through suffering is the Evil God Way (TM), but hey, it works for them! Stuff happens, Bai 6 meddles, but NOW Tawil has a soul and loves Bai Liu back… but they can't be together across the world-lines.
So now 658!Tawil has a soul and loves Bai Liu, so he can be there for young 658!Bai 6, who doesn't understand human feelings and lacks a soul.
So they have souls because they gave each other souls and there's no first or second, because it's a time loop! (I just miss Xie Ta, though. Spades may technically have the same soul, but personally I don't like him as much and it messes up the symmetry to me!)

[page 1] H: Hey. Their first meeting was terrible.
[page 2] Whenever they see each other, they would always fight. But as time passed, they forged a strong bond. Their feelings towards each other started to change, and now, the two of them… …have gotten married. *DING DONG~* Don't think too much about it.

S: Good morning, Kagura-chan. G: Don't use alarm clocks, then! Wake up on your own!! K: Yeah. Morning. H: Well, thanks to a certain someone's noisy ass snoring I keep not getting enough sleep!! G: What'd'ya say!? My snoring is not that loud! S: Good morning, Sadaharu. Sa: Woof. H: You snore so fucking loud, you know! Also I have sleep apnea! G: Wait, really!? S: Hijikata-san, time's running out. It's almost eight. H: Hey! Don't you have anything I can eat right away!? G: Shuddup! I'm making it right now!
[page 6] *clunk* G: Here.
H: …Hey… What is this… G: Huh? H: I told you before, I… G: What are you saying? Hurry up and eat. H: I told you I only eat rice for breakfast!! G: Huh? I didn't know that. H: Don't we have rice!? G: Stop nagging for rice. I forgot to cook some. G: Come on, just quickly eat that and go. Go eat rice or whatever you want with some girl who fell down from the sky. H: Don't justify this by saying it's fine because Ghi*li characters eat it!!
[page 7] *flip* H: Ah, dammit! There's no time left! *slides* G: Wait! You forgot something, hey!! H: Huh!? *grabs* *SMOOOOOOOOCH* G: Have a safe trip!!! H: See you when I get back!!! *rattles* *slam* S: When'll they stop doing this every morning? K: I know, uh-uh.
[page 8] (Husbands' Quarrel) G: I don't give a shit about you anymore! I'll be going back home!! H: Don't say anything and go then!! It's easier that way!! *SLAM* *SLIDES* G: This is my home though!! H: Oh!! You're right!!
[page 9] (Always Saying This or That) Y: Huff… huff… huff… *whoosh* *whoosh* Y: Huff… huff… huff… G: Are you always doing that? Y: Aaaahh! B-Boss!? Y: Why are you here!? G: I'm just delivering something, that's it. Y: Huh?
[page 10] G: Here. G: That damn Hijikata ran off without it this morning. Seems like it's something important? Y: This is… yeah, it's an important document! Y: But the vice chief is in a meeting right now… G: It's fine. Just pass it to him later. G: Gin-san went all this way to deliver it, so tell him he should be grateful. Y: Ah… Boss, hold on! Y: Wanna come with me for a bit?
[page 11] G: It's sho good!! Sho damn good!! *munch munch munch* Y: We got it as a gift and had leftovers… G: Sho good!!! Y: I'm glad you like it. G: Man, you guys sure have it good. Getting good food and high pay… Y: W-Well… It's really not as good as you think… Y: Our job is just that rough, so… G: Speaking of job, G: he's been coming home late recently, is he busy? Y: Huh? Ah… Vice chief duties have indeed been particularly busy lately. G: Hmmm… I see. *sips*
[page 12] Y: It's kind of… still a little bit hard to believe. G: What is? Y: Your marriage. Y: Never in my dreams had I thought that the vice chief and Yorozuya's boss would be bound together in that way… Y: Ah, but I don't think it's weird or anything! Y: I really sincerely wish you two the best… G: I get what you're trying to say. G: Well, I never thought things would turn out like this, either. Y: But, really. When you told us you were getting married, I was so surprised.
[page 13] H: We have… H: …decided to get married.
Y/K/O: HUHHHHHHHHHH!?
[page 14] Y: W-What do you mean!? K: Huh? What? Married…!? O: Are you saying this while understanding what's between both of your legs? H: I know what you're trying to say. H: It's true that we're both men. H: What I'm saying is, I want to be with him so much that stuff like that doesn't matter to me. K: To-Toshi… Are you serious…? H: Yeah. K: You're really getting married? H: Yeah. K: With the Yorozuya? H: Yeah. K: You're fine marrying him!? H: Yeah. K: Yorozuya… you're also fine with this? G: Sure, I'm fine, whatever. K: … *smack!*
[page 15] K: I understand. K: If you're saying this now, I'm sure you've properly given it a lot of thought and consideration. K: We're not in the place to tell you anything. K: Toshi… Be happy. H: Kondou-san…! H: Thank you… H: Thank you…! G: *yawns*
[page 16] Y: … Y: It's been half a year since then, huh… Y: Honestly, Boss, I thought that even though you married him, you don't really care for the vice chief that much, but… Y: That's actually not the case, huh? G: Huh!? G: I don't feel anything for him! I only think of him as my ATM, okay!? Y: Naaah, even if you're always saying this or that, Y: you're always concerned about him and worry about him, right? Y: I thought, I guess you really do love him. G: Lo-…!? G: It's not…
[page 17] G: It's nothing like that at all… H: Hrrrgghackh!? Ha: Vice chieeef!? What happened!? Ha: The vice chief suddenly coughed out blood!! H: Just now… I received signals of Gintoki's love… *faints* K: Toshiiiiiiiiii!!!! G: Sometimes I regret it, though. Y: … K: Pull yourself togetheeeer!!
[page 18] (Wedding Ring) Y: By the way, you two don't wear wedding rings? H: I bought a pair, but my job is like this, so. H: Better if I don't wear it. It'd be bad if I lose it. G: I-I also… put away mine… uh-uh… G: Somewhere. H: Hey, did you lose your ring!? H: No wait, it's you we're talking about. You pawned it off, didn't you!! G: I’m not that awful of a person, okay!! I can find it if I look!! Probably!!
[page 19] (Demon Wife) M: Alriiiight! I'm treating all of you today, M: so go ahead and order anything you want! ♀1: Ahh, Toshi-san, you haven't been coming here, so I've been missing you! ♀2: Me too! ♀2: Come on, drink up ♡ H: Nah… I'm good… O: Hijikata-san, what's wrong? You're sweating bullets. H: I mean, I should be sweating if I'm at a place like this. H: Even though I'm here because the old man forced me to, H: if he finds out, I'm screwed… O: Yeah… You're right.
[page 20] K: Tosshi is late tonight, uh-uh. S: He's probably busy working again. G: Yeah, probably. *chime* G: Who is it? (A phone Hijikata makes him carry ->) *flip*
[page 21] H: Nothing happened and I was there as a part of work, so I should just act like usual, right… H: I'm home… G: Welcome back! *peeks* *ah!* G: You're home late. H: A-Ah, it's because of work, y'know… G: Hmmm… I see. G: Hijikata-kun, you're tired from work, so… G: Do you want dinner? G: Or a bath? G: Or… G: A bloodshed?
[page 22] *step step step step* H: Heeeeyy!! What's this all of a sudden! Why are you so clearly trying to kill me!? *step step step step* G: It's no use playing dumb!! Okita-kun contacted me earlier…
[page 23] G: …and sent me this picture! *bam* (From: Okita. Subject: Having fun) H: Sougooooooooooo! G: How was it!? How was the alcohol poured by pretty ladies, hm!!? G: It definitely tasted good, huh!? Man, I'm so jealous, you bastard!! H: That's what you're jealous about!? H: The old man forced me to come with him! H: He's my superior, so I had no choice, okay!? G: Well, I guess there's no choice if it's a superior… G: Looking at it again, you clearly looked like you hated it anywa…
[page 24] G: You didn't hate it at aaaaaall!! *GRRAAAHHHH* H: It's not that! It's because I was drunk! H: I wasn't enjoying it at all! G: …Then… G: You should've at least contacted me beforehand!!! *whoop* *rattle* H: Alright, then I'm sorry for not contacting you!! H: My bad!! *clink* *clang*
[page 25] H: Ah!! H: Heey! Help me convince him!! *PUNCH* H: Why is no one in this house on my side!? S: That's not the case at all. *pat* H: Glasses…! S: As long as you keep putting your money into Yorozuya, I'll be on your side. G: Alright. Good job, you two. S: Um, Gin-san… To the point of telling us not to be on his side, isn't that too much… G: It's fine. He should have this much done to him.
[page 26] (Wife-Bragging) G: Here. H: Huh? H: …. G: Come on, hurry up and take it.
[page 27] H: Wait, wait, wait! H: What are you doing here!? G: What'd'ya mean, "what"? I'm making lunch. H: Lunch…? What happened to our usual lunch lady? G: Ah, about that… G: Seems like all the old ladies at the barracks had a cold all at once, so I was asked to make lunch G: by the gorilla. H: If that's the case, you should've told me that this morning… ♂: Boss! ♂1: The lunch was absolutely delicious! ♂2: Thanks for the meal! G: Sure. H: ….
[page 28] Ha: Yorozuya's boss is amazing, huh. Y: Why suddenly say that? Ha: I mean, not only that he can be said as the strongest when it comes to swordsmanship, Ha: but he's even also good at cooking. Ha: Isn't he perfect? Ha: To add to that… Ha: When you get a good look at him, he's also quite good looking, right? Ha: Although I don't swing that way. Y: I totally get that! Y: Ah, this miso soup is good. *sips* *SLAM*
[page 29] Ha/Y: Vice chieeeeef! *sits* Ha/Y: Shit, here comes the hassle-maker! H: Huh? This tastes different than how he usually makes it. Y: O-Oh, really… Ha/Y: He's trying to brag about how he eats his cooking all the time! H: Usually it goes down the throat easier. H: Today, it's like, thicker, or like, saltier… *CRASH* G: Don't eat it if you're going to complain about it!! Ha/Y: He has a point. Y: V-Vice chief, are you alright? H: No big deal. H: It's always like this, you see. It's his way of showing affection, you see. Ha/Y: He's still saying that.
[page 30] Ha: I guess the vice chief is the one being lead by the nose, huh? Y: He's walking all over the vice chief, huh? Y: Hm!? *hides* Ha: What's wrong? Y: It's the boss. Y: He's coming into the vice chief's room. Y: Is the boss going to yell at him again? Heh heh. H: Gintoki! G: Hey. ….
[page 31] H: ! H: What's wrong? G: …Something we don't usually do… H: Huh? G: Usually, there's Shinpachi and the others, or you'd be away at work, so… G: …I tried doing it. H: I see. H: You're right. Ha/Y: The ending is pretty wholesome, thoooough!!!!!? (end)
[page 32] I released this book in 2015, but I came up with this concept 8 years ago… (I drew it on my drawing blog) The wife who would become Shiroyasha in fights. Hijikata-kun, who in fact wasn't enjoying his time with the girls, but was actually bragging about his wife. H: My wife… H: Then, he's like… Thank you to everyone who has read this book!

The Impact of Iron Recycling on the Environment in San Angelo
Iron recycling has emerged as a powerful force in promoting sustainability, reducing pollution, and conserving natural resources. In San Angelo, Texas, where environmental consciousness is gaining momentum, recycling services play an essential role in supporting the city’s environmental goals. This article explores the impact of iron recycling on the environment in San Angelo and highlights the benefits it brings to both the local community and the planet as a whole.
Understanding Iron Recycling and Its Importance
Iron is one of the most recycled metals globally, primarily because it is highly reusable and can be repurposed without losing its strength or integrity. As a resource, iron is extracted from the earth through mining, a process that consumes significant amounts of energy and leaves a substantial environmental footprint. By choosing Iron Recycling Services, individuals and businesses in San Angelo can contribute to reducing the demand for new iron production. Recycling iron helps curb the destructive environmental impact of mining activities, conserving raw materials and energy.
Environmental Benefits of Iron Recycling
Conservation of Natural Resources
One of the primary benefits of iron recycling is the conservation of natural resources. Every ton of iron recycled means a ton less iron ore that needs to be mined. Iron mining can damage ecosystems and disrupt habitats, so reducing the need for mining is a significant step toward protecting these natural areas. Additionally, by using Iron Recycling Services in San Angelo, the community can help ensure that resources are available for future generations.
2. Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Iron production is energy-intensive and releases a considerable amount of greenhouse gases (GHGs) into the atmosphere. The production process involves smelting, which emits large amounts of carbon dioxide and other pollutants. Recycling, on the other hand, requires substantially less energy, as it avoids the need to extract and process raw materials. This reduction in energy consumption translates directly into lower GHG emissions. In fact, recycling iron can reduce GHG emissions by up to 86% compared to traditional production methods.
As San Angelo and other regions work to lower their carbon footprints, opting for Iron Recycling Services is an effective way to support these efforts. By recycling iron, residents and businesses in San Angelo contribute to a reduction in pollution and help mitigate the effects of climate change.
3. Reduction in Landfill Waste
Metal waste takes up a substantial amount of space in landfills, which not only strains local waste management systems but also releases harmful substances into the environment over time. Disposing of iron and other metals in landfills is an unsustainable practice that can be addressed through recycling. By diverting iron waste from landfills, recycling helps extend landfill life, minimizes soil contamination, and reduces the leaching of pollutants into groundwater.
San Angelo’s growing population means an increasing demand for waste management solutions. Iron recycling can alleviate this pressure on local landfills, making it an essential component of the city’s waste management strategy. Through proper Iron Recycling Services, the community can significantly reduce the amount of waste going to landfills and improve overall environmental health.
Conclusion
The impact of iron recycling on the environment in San Angelo is clear. From conserving natural resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions to creating jobs and supporting the local economy, iron recycling offers a wealth of benefits. As San Angelo continues to prioritize sustainability, iron recycling will play an essential role in protecting the environment and promoting responsible waste management practices.
Choosing Iron Recycling Services is not only an investment in environmental preservation but also a commitment to building a stronger, more sustainable community. By making a conscious effort to recycle iron and other metals, San Angelo residents and businesses can contribute to a cleaner, greener future for all.

Climate-Friendly diet tips: How to Eat to Help Save the Planet
Anenvironment friendly diet reveals a lot about the effects that our diets have on the environment. Meat consumption leads to increased GHG emissions thus the higher rates of climate change when practicing industrial agriculture. Yet, if we want to switch to a better and less damaging diet that benefits the climate, we can do so. Here are a few simple
Climate-Friendly diet tips:
Go Plant-Based
Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds and legumes which are principal components of vegan diets are definitely much eco-friendlier compared to a protein-worshiping paleo diet containing red meat, poultry and fish. Husbandry contributes immensely to greenhouse gases production especially through exercises such as cutting down forests as well as the emissions from cattle. Swapping red meat and dairy for more beans, lentils and other plant proteins could reduce your food emissions by up to 50 percent.
Climate-Friendly diet tips
Eat Seasonally and Locally
If produce is imported through substantial use of air or road transport, then it translates to many tons of carbon emission. Further, they are cultivated out of season in heated greenhouses in which gargantuan amounts of energy power are utilized. However, just consume locally produced food to reduce the transportation distance and help local producers. It also means your food will be as fresh as it can be!
Cut Back on Food Waste
It is estimated that 40 percent of all food grown or processed in the United States is thrown away. This type of food waste contributes significantly to the emission of planet-warming methane gas which originates from decomposing foods in landfills. Choosing nutrients, portion control methods, using the second half of the leftovers in an interesting manner, and avoiding squandering food leftovers by proping them for composting are the useful methods.
Select everything that is organic and regenerative
Environment friendly diets are produced to ban the synthetic pesticides and fertilizers that result in emissions and environmental problems such as reduction in the standard of biology and soil quality. Ideally, buy your produce from farmers who engage in regenerative practices including growing of cover crops and minimum tillage, and crop rotation with a view of sequestering carbon.
We can all play our part in building environment friendly diet by making some conscious changes on how we choose our food, how we organize ourselves in the kitchen and how we go about preparing our meals. Essentially what is on our plates can define our future based on how well we take care of our environment today.

ING、亚马逊信用卡的变化
Translate from Finanztip
