trying to get back into art. here's a sketch of kaitou KID diluc for my dcmk au, divided we conquer :)

(he doesn't actually look like this as KID since the red hair is a literal red flag for his secret identity, but i like the aesthetic lol)

reading through all of our current notes on divided we conquer, our dcmk/genshin impact crossover! some thoughts, with varying levels of context:

• oh my god diluc is such a trainwreck before morgan (his robot clone) comes along.

• hot high school teacher/undercover fbi agent zhongli was a brilliant idea. ajax is so jealous of collei having zhongli as one of her teachers

• diluc giving cassidy (APTX shrunken kaeya) a blood transfusion in the desperate revival arc and cassidy not knowing until diluc's already long gone is so fucked up actually

• kind of ironic actually that scaramouche is a scientist like dottore in this au.

• the detective girls are so precious to me <3

• albedo is keeping the most secrets out of everyone in this au, and somehow, exactly none of them are his own

• its pretty funny that the inazuma characters are whoops all cops lol. this includes itto btw. in our defence: you cannot get any worse than inspector yamamura from gunma

• crepus was the first KID. no he's not a scumbag like toichi we promise.

• he has a wife and husband btw who are still alive and kicking and a fairly active part of their sons' lives :)

• on that note uhhh. who's going to tell inspector aisling alberich that his dead husband was the first KID and his son diluc is now the second KID he's currently chasing.

• and also that his wife inaya was ALSO an internationally wanted thief before she retired to marry her two husbands and became an actress.

• morgan is so important to me btw. and also to diluc. morgan is his emotional support robot pseudo twin and without him diluc would be so much worse trust me

• probably the biggest reason diluc gets away with hiding KID from his papa (aisling) is elzer and adelinde. the real mvps

• inaya totally knows though.

• dainsleif as hakuba saguru is the funniest thing lmao. he's so not normal about trying to catch his classmate diluc as KID

• jean definitely thinks dainsleif is onto something, but also if dainsleif actually gets court admissible evidence to arrest diluc with, you fucking bet she's blackmailing him to hell and back. they've already lost kaeya, she is NOT losing her other best friend even if he is an internationally wanted thief for some reason

• KID (diluc) and cassidy (kaeya) after seeing each other less than 24 hours prior during a heist: man i miss my brother </3

• oh yeah kaeya is like. hella missing. he's not keeping contact at ALL. diluc is not okay about it (he wears kaeya's face as a disguise sometimes because he misses him.)

Poor Scar, he is actually cursed with creepers.

Is...is the wing damage something that could be fixed if they were in less-hostile territory (without just a respawn)? CAN it be fixed when they eventually make it home? Or is it permanent damage by that point since its so far away? -🎀

the wing damage would be easily fixed with an instant respawn, but as we know, that's not an option in hhau. the wings could still fare better, not necessarily healed, just less bad, if scar didn't tuck the injury away and pretended it doesn't exist. if he kept his wings out and took some care of them.

would that be realistic? they were in a cave, hidden away. but scar's focus was on keeping grian calm (which heavily involves not admitting he just almost died permanently), and he also didn't really want to face that damage and pain in his wings. in many ways, keeping them away was easier.

plus, it's not like they had any healing supplies at this point. (if they did, believe me, they'd all go to grian, as there was a real threat grian might actually die without them.) (yep scar was so distraught, he had nothing to offer but he was doing his best.)

if we take an ideal scenario, wings out and healing supplies, the damage could've been mitigated, yes. fixed completely? well, that's a wholly different thing.

can be fixed once they get back on hermitcraft? questionable. (just because me and link still haven't decided jxncbk) maybe with use of a lot of magic. or maybe cub knows a way to help. but either way, there are no simple solutions and no easy answers. the wings will stay tattered even through a respawn, because at that point, it's been about a year. it sets into the code, stays permanent. (kind of like the scars that grian gets in that hostile world—they'll stay forever.)

but! as link said in their post about hhau vex scar, the wings are only half-corporeal, and they mostly function on magic rather than anything else, so in theory he could still manage to use them for gliding, even in their tattered state. (and once i kick myself to put together those remaining mimic au rambles, maybe we'll even get to see that cjhxbnj)

Theres a very weird movement going on here, where if you mention issues related to men, you are automatically labeled an MRA.

In all honesty, it makes sense with what feminist theory has been clipped off after t*rfs got their hands on the "feminist" title and ran it through the mud. Because to them- men are evil. Masculinity is evil. Specifically trans men are evil gender traitors who want nothing more than a slice of the patriarchy pie.

Where is the space now in progressive/feminist circles for men? Especially queer men? Men who have BEEN feminists, who have been active politically, in their communities and homes- where is the space for them? What happened to stronger together? When did the mass begin adopting t*rf talking points? When did feminism as a whole become centered on those talking points?

Like. I AM allowed to talk about the issues I face in a heteronormative cis-centric society plagued with patriarchal views. That shit affects me deeply! I talk about it on my blog. In my own space. I also uplift the voices of others- especially women, and fem-aligned people. It's important to have connections with all sorts of people- it makes me feel more whole, both in the personal connections, and the connections made through works of art, books, etc.

It is frightening to watch the community splinter apart as the looming threat of a Trump term is happening. It feels like being in a crowd, helping everyone into a safe zone and reaching for a hand up- only to be left behind and closed out as the zombie hoard closes in.

Under pressure, things begin to break down. But we really need to do our best to mend the splintering, to fill the cracks and seems and divides. Because otherwise, their next step is "Conquer" and I don't want to see that for us.

uhhh sorry, if you see the rainbow flag in any of its iterations (but especially the original 8-stripe) and think "but this wasn't specifically FOR gay men!" you lost the plot. you never understood. it represented us as much as it did lesbians, bisexuals, and trans people. it was meant for all of us. and individualism is bred from capitalism insisting you need a completely seperate flag in order to be recognized - that's never been the case. you can argue all you like - ultimately, we'll know community and solidarity among genders and sexualities that aren't yours was never your agenda, and that reflects on you every time you fly the blue toothpaste flag, and we see it.

Yes, all disabilities are going to present differently and look different and may even have vastly different needs, but at the end of the day, if you're disabled, you're likely going to have more in common with a differently disabled person than you will an abled person. The sooner you recognize how similar you are to other people (and seek out similarity/solidarity), the sooner you realize that your needs will never be fulfilled without each other. Divided, you are an easy target. Alienated, you are at risk.

Divide and Conquer

That’s what the history books will say led to the success of the fascist American empire.

The American people were so busy fighting each other. Liberal vs. Conservative. Black vs. White. Rich vs. Poor. Able vs. Disabled. Christians vs. Atheists. Straight vs. Queer. Born Citizens vs. Immigrants.

These titles we’ve imposed upon ourselves are just lines they’ve drawn to trick us into thinking that we’re different. That were enemies. That there is a wrong and right within the American people, but the only thing wrong with this country is the people in charge. Our so called leaders profiting off the victimization of their own people.

“The land of the free” but the only ones actually free to do as they wish are the same ones promoting that propaganda. Most modern empires survive for a few hundred years before a revolution wipes the slate clean and those left get to try again, try to do better. America is long overdue for some change, this country has passed its expiration date. But the government has such a solid grip on its people, a grip that threatens more and more each day to snatch our final breaths right from our throats, that we can’t even imagine a world in which our voice matters. But it does, it’s the only thing that does, they have power because we let them, but it’s supposed to be an equal transaction, and yet most of us can barely afford to live while they spend our money on supporting genocide and senseless war.

And I’m sick of it. I’m so tired of feeling so useless, so voiceless, so small, when I know that our government would be nothing without us. They poison our air, our water, our food, our minds, all to keep us fat, sick, and dumb. But they forget that they would be nothing without us. They forget that the second we’re done with them and their ideals and rules, that it’s all over.

The American people need to wake up.

The American people need to take back their voice. The American people need to shout and get loud and say “No More.”

The American people need to take back their country, before it’s too late. Before there are no American people left. ✊🏾

I’m tired of watching infighting and debates and arguments. If you don’t support a free Palestine, if you don’t support all LGBT+ people (yes even the ones you find annoying), if you don’t support Russian LGBT+ people, if you believe the Palestinian Genocide is a complicated war/conflict (where if Palestine stopped fighting there would be peace, not total eradication), if you believe drug addicts and mentally ill people are weak or lazy, if you believe BBIMP/BIPOC don’t deserve justice & don’t believe in prison abolition, if you don’t believe women and all living people (trans, BIPOC/BBIMP, women, AFAB, etc.) deserve the right to govern their own body and make their own medical choices, if you don’t believe the whole system is flawed and functioning as designed— if you won’t stand for and with us all, please block us and get off this page.
