Important facts about Hekate, the goddess of witchcraft, night, necromancy, and ghosts
During her earliest appearance in Hesiod's book 'Theogony', she was depicted as a goddess with dominion over the earth, sea, and sky; her later appearances, however, made her a goddess of the Underworld associated with magic and witchcraft.
In comparison to Selene, goddess of the moon, who represents the calmness of the night, Hekate represents its terrors and darkness.
Artemis (also considered a goddess of the moon), Selene, and Hekate were sometimes worshiped together due to their similarities, especially in Rome. They were worshiped as a triad mostly by women and children.
People made an offering for her when they were about to work with magic or the dead.
She aided Demeter in search of her daughter Persephone
She is a Liminal Goddess because she can easily move from the Underworld to the real world. She is the 'guide', that is why she is depicted with torches and is described as the one who can unlock the ''gates of death'' by Theocritus.
She is tightly associated with Eleusinian Mysteries, the secret celebrations of Demeter and Persephone.
She had a few temples and cults in Greece and small household shrines to ward off evil.

Create a digital altar (these can be done on Pinterest)
Write poetry about her
Write a letter to her
Create or listen to a playlist dedicated to her
Talk to her (tarot cards, dice, pendulum, and other forms of divination work just fine)
What is it like working with her?
When it comes to Aphrodite, in myth, she was often known as a wrathful and jealous goddess. However, since the myths are just stories and are known to exaggerate some details, this isn’t usually the case.
However, when people mention to others that they are interested in working with Aphrodite, they usually say that you absolutely should not. That she is needy, requires a lot of attention and offerings, that if you don’t do what she says, she will take your beauty away.
This is also not the case.
In my experience as an Aphrodite worshipper, she is very loving, along with being insanely passionate. Also being very vocal about her needs and wants.
Often getting signs from her isn’t at all uncommon. I remember the first few weeks I started working with her, I got an image on my feed that had these two eels intertwined together in a heart shape.
You will often feel connected to sea life, the sea in general, wanting to do things for yourself like dressing nicer and wanting to take care of yourself more.
Here are some things I’ve experienced in my time in working with her.
When I first started praying to her, I stuttered and fumbled over my words. A lot. I was oddly nervous about it? I’m not the type to stutter and fumble often. But beginning to feel nervous and even embarrassed in the presence of the goddess of love? Very normal.
She often enjoys getting milk and dark chocolate, along with roses or any kind of flower, real or not. I gave her chocolates, a fake rose, and a real flower for valentines day and she was insanely happy with it. So much so that her candle rested in a heart shape for a short while.
I often saw butterflies, a symbol of Aphrodite.
I often feel inclined to go to the beach, collect seashells, and do things that make me feel good.
I feel more comfortable expressing love. Before, I was never the type to use pet names for people, especially for friends. But i’ve noticed that I now call people sweet and endearing names. Honeybun, sweet pea, boo, sweetie/sweetness, and babes are things i’ve been saying lately.
She is very honest, often not sugarcoating things. I asked her when my ex first asked me out if we’d last. She said no and gave me explicit reasons as to why. Though I still went out and dated them anyway, and it pretty much ended in the way she said.
She very much enjoys art work of her. I’ve drawn her a few times, asking her to guide my hand in doing so.
Whenever I feel unattractive or hate something about my appearance, she usually makes someone compliment me that day or that week. I was having an off day with my hair, and in that same hour, a girl walked up to me and said that she loved my hair and the style it was in.
That is it for my beginners Aphrodite worship guide! I will be doing these for the other two deities I work with, Apollo and Freyja.
I do hope these were helpful. If you have any questions or need assistance with anything, my ask box and my dms are always open. So be sure to shoot me a message!
Much love to you. <3

Digital offering for today, thank you so much for always being there. I'm so grateful to have you.
Actually I was gonna upload this yesterday, but I had to go to sleep. However, this is an amazing day to do it. I kid you not, this evangelical guy came to me and the group that I was in and, for an hour, he started preaching his religion and how he found god and that we need to escape the devil because he's gonna make us have orgys, do drugs and kill ourselves like Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston and Kurt Cobain.
So far, the devil has forced me to sleep early and inspired me to keep writing. Thank you so much, Lord Lucifer ♥︎

I've started getting into witchcraft recently, and I've decided to start worshiping and working with Apollo. And I don't have an altar yet, but I jokingly asked him if he wanted some dried banana chips, because I was eating them. And I felt him guiding me, and my hand, which I took as yes. The vibe I got, he seemed excited about it.
So yeah, my first offering to Apollo, is dried bananas. Just some banana chips on a shelf. That's Apollo's altar right now

Guide to: divine families
quick 101 on what divine families are! Lets start with the basics! let me stress this, THIS IS A PERSONAL BELIEF. if you do not feel connected to a god in a "mum dad brother sister aunt uncle" way thats okay! What is a divine family? A divine family is a personal upg, in my divine family its a mix of "i feel as though we're connected so closely they made my soul" to "i see you as a family figure" or "your related to my soul parent/{enter relation} and i see you as family so if its okay then we're family Does this mean im a demi god? im going to hold your hand when i say this... of course not. we are humans and they are gods. respect that boundary. think of it this way: if your working with a deity and you weren't human they wouldnt work with you. Does that mean if someone else has the same soul parent as me are we twins? If both parties are comfortable then sure!! of course you arent biologically related but i think being spiritually related with someone is a cute idea!! Does everyone have a soul parent? if your connected to the idea, yes! you have a soul parent! if your uncomfortable with the idea then no! simple. dont force yourself. Is it okay to have multiple parents? yes!! i have four: persephone, hades, eros and psyche! personally i think they had a dabble in my soul and i look at them as parental figures! How does soul creation link with divine families? its like matrons and patrons (i can do a post on that if you want too!) when you feel alot of the things you do go under the deities domain! i made a post on saying how ironic it is that the things i personally do dont necessarily match my parents domain, like my struggles are specific things i can help with! How do i find my parents? two major ways: tarot and just feeling connected. ill stress this, if you look for your soul parent through the second option do not be disheartened if you dont feel a connection. i personally highly recommend the first option. how eros taught me to identify deities (it only works for one pantheon) is to ask the deity to put a identifying major arcana card to the front of the deck. shuffle with intention, focus on energy and pull the card. then repeat in the middle of the deck and to the back of the deck! (if you dont get a major arcana card just try again! unless you ask the deity to give you a minor arcana card as a no..)

This is probably only because I was doing research on him last night, but a teenage Hermes appeared to me in my dreams last night to do nothing more than show me why he is one of the Gods of sports and gymnastics. Holy hell can that God move. Fantastic cartwheels and backflips holy shit. That God is fast as fuck boi
The dream was literally:
Me: what’s going on… where am I? Is this a gym? Who tf is that kid? Is that Hermes????
Hermes: 🧍… watch this

Just did a reading with Eros bc I just finished watching I Saw the TV Glow and feel unwell. I had his playlist on smart shuffle and all of a sudden the song Icarus & Apollo started playing.
I just kind of sat there and was like ????? Apollo???? And I then pulled the crow card in my deck. I asked him what he had wanted to say, and immediately my Spotify started glitching so much I had to close the app and re open it.
After everything got re sorted out, it went well. They were both darlings as usual and Eros and Apollo had said stuff I needed to hear :,))
I just can’t get over Apollo FULLY hijacking Eros’ playlist omg

I’ve noticed that when I pray to Lady Aphrodite (aloud and closed eyes) I feel as if I’m somewhere different than where I actually am? this evening I felt very warm accompanied by a light involuntary swaying from side to side as I sat on my knees. It’s sort of like a floating feeling.
when I open my eyes I’m always a bit disoriented by seeing my room once again.
I disclosed that I wish to write a letter to her, entailing all I wish to mention, all I deem important—in general; in working with her. eventually I’ll read it aloud at her altar 🪐💗
