Ode to Aidoneus (Hades)
Oh, sweet God of the dead, protect my soul
Your darkness consumes all and keeps us whole
Aidoneus, giver of wealth, the one unseen
Keeper of the departed, our endings foreseen
Rolling waves, leading to your tender embrace
Oh, the fear of your presence is misplaced
A respectable, fatherly being
Your watchful eye and doting, oh-so-freeing
Your eternal black, revered by the moon and stars alike
The realm of Hades’ where there is only night
Lost souls, wallow and pray
You are the light to lead our way
The lingering smoke of a candle wick burnt
You, to which our spirits will return
May their trepidation turn to serenity
As they learn, you are not our enemy
Mortal life is far too brief
Though I know you’ll bring comfort to our grief
Your Kingdom, mysterious and homely
How I know your arms will hold me
Oh, praise be to Hades and His arcane caress
There will be a day I must feel the kiss of death
And in His domain, there will be no rain
For I will know I am loved

i sing, yes — i sing to thee, hades! dark god who sits upon the throne, may my song reach you and give you relief from the sighs of the dead. for you gleam & are radiant in splendor even in the heavy shadows of your realm. o great god in the dark and hidden places, i ask for the wisdom of the thousand. may my eyes catch the glitter of blessing, may my hands always be willing to put forth and hold fast that which is dear to me. may my heart be steadfast & beat every second that i am given. let no fear capture my spirit — for only to your iron-fast hands am i bound. you are unbreakable & i wish to stand as you do — brow unbent by the shadows, my feet unshaken by the miserable blows of others. show me how to take hold of my path, to trace the workings of the lock, to move the obstacle that stands in front of me. may i arrive at your court satisfied with the life i’ve made.

My partners step sibling passed today.
She's off to bed.
So I'm going to sit vigil so as she can find her way with Hermes, Thanatos, and Hades.

Sometimes worship is super big meaningful and emotional rituals that take up a lot of time and planning and alter your view on life, other times worship is parrallell play where they insist you watch slimecicle videos (it's always fucking slimecicle and I have no idea why, Apollo is like the number one fan and hades and persephone do nothing to stop it)

I haven't been actively worshipping my deities, due to stress and college. I subconsciously chose to face things alone. I felt really bad about this and worried that they may dislike me for it or be disappointed, but all I can give them is to try my best. I can't be so hard on myself. It's not healthy. I love my deities, I'm going to try and get back into the flow of worshipping. Wish me luck.

Things have been very difficult lately. In the spirit of the new moon, I cut off an unhealthy relationship in my life. Even though it’s for the best for all parties involved, I’m having to deal with a lot of anger and resentment from the other person involved.
This has also been trying because, despite how unhealthy our relationship was, this person was my closest and really only friend. Even though I’ve spent most of my life alone, it terrifies me, and I doubt every little step that I take. I also am terrified of them trying to hurt me for leaving the relationship when they didn’t want to let me go.
I thank Persephone for her guidance and support that led me to this decision, and I humbly ask that Hades give me the strength and wisdom to live independently and solitarily

Hades, to me, is the feeling of warmth in the solitude of nature. The sounds of crickets and distant foliage rustling. A subtle indication you're not alone. The luminescent glow of fire that lights the deep blue void with heated orange, warming the cool, smooth surface of your skin. A soft, gentle breeze caressing your face and hugging your soul. The reminder that, although lonely, things will be alright. And one day, you'll be home to him. The reminder of ashes to ashes and dust to dust.
He's so fatherly and loving.. <3

A poem for Hades + Digital offering 🖤
I sing of Hades, whose locks are dark as night, whose cloak is like a shadow that mists the sight
Who is crowned in gold and silver, and precious gems of all sorts, whose countenance is so glorious it robs men of their words
Who bears the adamantine scepter that rules over the world below our own, a realm dim and gloomy where sweet-smelling asphodels grow
For once along with Zeus the loud-thunderer and Poseidon the earth-shaker you drew lots, and the kingdom devoid of day fell to your luck
Thus you are lord over all, sooner or later you welcome them into your halls, and none can escape you as hard as they may try
You are the host of many, as many as have ever lived, you call them into your house when their time has come to be
Butterfly-winged Thanatos is your minister, sent forth to pick them up, whispering their souls out of their bodies as one pours the wine from a cup
Then Hermes of the golden rod, a guide to men both alive and dead, leads them to the shores of the Acheron river, a sight of much dread
And Charon ferries them across, where the murmur of the water seems to melt into a shrill whisper of souls who wander yet
And once one has arrived to your domain they are never to come back once more, it is a one way trip that can’t be undone
Truly you are a father of tears who doesn’t discriminate on who he takes with him, and heavy bitterness upon many hearts you do weave
Yet you sow the ground which riches of all sorts, seeds of all kinds which beget everything that grows
And thus to you we owe much good, for there is no life at all if not for the gift of food
It is not only fertile earth and crops that you send our way, but also treasures untold which Gaia holds hidden away
And be it precious metals or lovely jewels, once a mortal has found one of these, their hearts are overjoyed and their souls know ease
Thus you are magnanimous beyond measure, and just as you take lives, you nourish them as well, and so I confess that you are both beginning and end
First-born son of Cronus and Rhea, last one to come back to the light, you comfort mortals trough their funerary rites
You help souls know rest and you reward those who have done good deeds, yet those who have wrought evil shall know punishment trough your will
You are a maker of fate, the Moirai weave along the trail of your hand, you punish oath-breakers and send the Furies to hunt them down
Curses made from dire resentment are yours to make come to pass, and so are the conversations any deceased may hold with the alive
You take with one hand and give with the other, seated alongside Persephone, she who is every flower’s mother
Heed my words, famed Zeus of the earth, for you are a god which my heart could never forget
Guide me trough the changes of life, from start to finish and from finish to start
Shed upon me your starry light so that the truth may be clear to me eyes
Life is not always easy on us, there’s many a challenge and many a fetter, but trough my errors it is that I learn how to be better
So that even if things are hard to handle, if they are not easy to go trough, I know that trough your will and in your honor, I have been changed for good

I did my first tarot reading for Lord Hades in probably over a year. It was intended to be a status check, to apologize for my lack of worship and to see how our relationship stands in his eyes, as well as what my next steps should be moving forward in His worship. I don’t think I could’ve been guided to more beautiful cards.
My interpretation, relating to me specifically:
Fortitude: Also known as Strength in most decks, this card symbolizes inner strength and ability to overcome challenges and hardships. The power to maintain and strengthen my relationship with Lord Hades is present, I simply need to tap into it despite all the difficulties I am currently facing. I shouldn’t let my emotions get the better of me and stand in my way.
Two of Cups: The Two of Cups is the flow of love between two beings. Our relationship as god and worshiper is built on love and understanding. It’s possible our relationship may take on a new form compared to what it has been, perhaps with me truly devoting myself to my practice to honor Him. Whatever the future may hold, the love and honor and respect remains.
The Hermit: This card is associated with introspection and soul searching, especially in a pivotal time of change. I need to take time to really understand myself, to know what I want and need as His follower, what he wants and needs as my god, and what I need to do to make things feel fulfilling and respectful. I need intimate time with my own mind to gain a deeper spiritual understanding of my worship and my faith. Now is the time to look within and properly focus my attention to where it is meant to be focused.

Just set up an altar for Lord Hades and Lady Persephone. I don't have candles or statues or anything fancy yet so I just used what I had (I also added my money bowl to the altar since Lord Hades is also the God of riches)
If anyone works with/worships Persephone or Hades and has any low budget altar or offering tips they would like to share please don't be shy
