I know most people picture Hades in his very serious, king of the underworld aspect, but he has shown me a ton of his hidden sense of humor.

Like the other day I ordered a little statue of him for my altar. I get the package today and guess what? The package contained 16 of the same statue! I went back and checked my receipt-I was only charged for one but they must have somehow went me a whole pack of them by accident!

It honestly had me cracking up so much like he’s so not subtle and has his unserious moments and that’s what I love so much about working with him

i love father hades, he’s the softness in darkness, the peace in silence, he’s strong and steady his hands never wavering. He’s wise and calm and despite his reputation his love is abundant. His love is soothing quiet, darkness after a long overwhelming day, soft music, tears and tenderness. He is fatherly and makes everything seem okay, he is a promise of kindness beyond life, and i think that in each pocket of relief, of love in the world, he is there. In tea, in friendship, in a stranger smiling at you, a wave between customers, a kiss on the cheek, a wagging tail of a pet. His love is gentle and steady, a rocking chair and i love him with deep tenderness.

So a lot of stuff happened, dont feel comfortable to say but I did want to say this Last night I had a hard time and Hades came into my room (long story) and said this one thing that I think is forever going to be stuck in my head This tides in with suicidal thoughts, there's nothing descriptive He said this (he said some parts of this; I felt the urge to say more now) "I will not welcome you in the underworld as you will not be entering it. The carryman will not accept your coin and bring you to the Underworld as you will not be there. No matter how many tries, you will not be seeking to join the Underworld. You will be on Earth until your body is ready to go. Your mind is not your body. Do not confuse it with your body. Hold on strong." I don't know why I'm posting it. I had to make sure it wasn't for narcissistic reasons. I NEED to say this. I NEED TO SAY IT. I don't know if Hades wants me to share this but Aphrodite is suggesting it If I NEED this then YOU need this. Hold onto the divine. You will survive through this like I will. Put trust in your faith, even if it is terrifying YOU got this. I got this. WE ALL got this. I didn't mean to make it so emotional. But if the God of Death saying he wont accept you when you die because its not ready to go, proving the fact that this is meant to happen on your path with them, to trust them and continue your life, its really sad and good to hear :(

Oh, I am having The Most feelings possible about this.

Instead of a dragged out misunderstanding and an angry Hades yelling around and threatening, we are getting Percy and Grover putting the truth together in front of Hades - and Hades' reaction being to offer them sanctuary.

Hades immediately being like "You're not safe. Ask me and I'll protect you"? I mean, literally saying that.

First time watching this show that I feel like kissing the writers on the mouth. I hate me an Evil Hades take, and Lightning Thief Hades, while not 'the big bad', very much was portrayed as not a good guy and Riordan leaned heavily into cliches of evil (I mean, truly. So hard and cheap).

But? This is everything I want from my Hades.
