self care as a devotional act for aphrodite doesn’t have to be beauty-centric. aphrodite is also the goddess of love.
self care does not have to involve ‘glowing up’. it can look like working on your self esteem, learning to treat yourself kindly.
instead of splurging on makeup, learn how to be comfortable enough with your natural beauty to go outside with your bare face.
instead of being materialistic and buying every trending skincare product, embrace a simple routine and work inward. work on both your physical and mental health, not just one or the other.
take care of yourself. how you groom your appearance should not determine what self care means to you. self care is about taking care of your inside.

not all wisdom is the same.
some have practical wisdom. they get through life with shortcuts and hard earned experience, knowing what to do in each and every situation they may come across.
some have academic wisdom. your typical overachiever, class topper, easily wins pub quizzes. reading consumes their time, and it's hard to find them without some sort of book.
some have emotional wisdom. they know exactly what to say when someone is crying, the right delivery to make people laugh, cry, anything in between. they read the room, and they see beauty in the interpersonal relationships.
Lady Athena is all of these. hail, grey-eyed Goddess of Wisdom! may your wise guidance help humanity forevermore!

Basic Hypnos Devotee Starter Kit
So you're planning to get into the worship of Hypnos and don't know where to begin! No worries, this starter kit may be of some aid! This kit is best suited for those very new to Hellenism but will still be much help to those experienced with other deities! It also holds very basic info as a kickstart into worship. If you have any questions or anything you'd like to discuss/request, you may send an ask to us or dm!
Learn the mythology of Hypnos, knowing the history of the deity can greatly aid in knowing associations and impact your creative works.
2. Research on Hellenism but do be critical of what is read! There is much misinformation on Hellenism that may be toxic to beginners. Examples of this is the idea of certain gods not being beginner friendly. Hypnos loves you dearly, worship is not as strict as people want you to think it is. There is a barrier of respect, but worshipping Hypnos will become as easy as breathing. Hypnos loves you because you are love.
good advice post
prayer writing
3.Okay okay research research research, but how do you actually get into worshipping Hypnos?
Oh this my friend is the easiest part! Worshipping Hypnos can be anything you desire, it can be something as simple as just saying goodnight to Him before you sleep. You do not need some sort of initiation to worship Hypnos, you can do it right right now! Some forms of worshipping include but are not limited to:
devotional acts
creating art
creating poetry
praying to Him
thinking of Him
wearing clothes that reminds you of Him
It can be anything :) For any devotional acts ideas from us, you can check the links in our pinned!
4.Create/Find an Altar
Making a basic hellenic shrine <- this shrine can be adapted to Hypnos using these associations or these ones
You can also make a digital form of shrine using a tumblr blog, a pinterest board, or other forms of social media. Or you can also use a simple notes app or picture folder! All you need to do is reblog or put into these pictures or art that reminds you of them! You can return to these spots and pray to Hypnos!
We mentioned find because this temple may also be a place of refuge and worship to Hypnos! You are allowed to submit offerings, dream journal entries, art, and more! This temple is your altar!
Congrats! You have worshipped Hypnos just by reading this post! It is so easy, and Hypnos be along your side always!

Drawing Artemis and a few of her sacred animals and sketching extra bits including the Python version of her brother Apollo while listening to Bambi Thug's Doomsday Blue because it reminds me of Artemis doing a hex in her witchy aspect (Artemis also rules over witchcraft and has A LOT in common with Hecate including the theory that they might have been the same goddess at some point) is not the devotional act I was expecting to be doing right now but here I am so:
This one is for Artemis!

So, so much love for my deities! What luck it is to be loved by them! To have the relationships I have with them now! It's so lovely to experience this! I love Apollon! I love you, Hypnos! I love you, my dear king Asmodeus! I love you, my Uriel! I love you so much, my sweet Dionysus! I love you guys so much! Thank you endlessly for loving me, for teaching me what you have! For bringing beauty to love, for bringing beauty to me!
How it consumes me to love you, to be around you! To know I am reciprocated is heavenly! So much gratitude for my deities! So much adoration for them! Hail be to them!
The ones who taught me I am not broken, I am not despicable or disgusting for who I am! The ones who helped me heal when I deemed myself unable to be healed! The ones who showed me it's okay to be me!
Hail be to their names, my glorious kings! I love them achingly, fully! Forever thanking them for helping me with everything, for guiding me, teaching me, protecting me, and loving me just as I love them! Forever devoting myself to them on this plane and beyond it as their silly little poet writer guy thing!!
Ooh, sometimes it truly is beautiful to live. To love. To exist with people beyond our capabilities as equals, as lovers, as friends and everything else in between.

bless aphrodite and the virgin goddesses for the little push they gave me to set a boundary with my very cuddly guy friend
i recently decided to make a devotion to them by only engaging in any intimacies, innocent and sexual, with men im dating and only once ive given myself ample time to actual understand my feelings. i have a huge issue of being influenced by physical touch and mistaking pleasure or happiness from it with actually liking someone, and i believe this will be an amazing way to force myself into actually processing my emotions and feelings. unrelated to love/intimacy, it will allow me to slowly distant myself from male validation tendencies and hopefully better focus on myself.
also makes it easier to tell the difference between men who are actually interested and men who want intimacy. and to see if a man will be okay with my religion :)

He appears as an iconic image in the artwork of many cultures, and there are several documented accounts of his appearances, and his warnings to the many who attempted to open the box before its time. His last recorded appearance was during the London blitz in 1941. The warehouse where the Pandorica was stored was destroyed by incendiary bombs, but the box itself was found the next morning, a safe distance from the blaze. There are eyewitness accounts from the night of the fire of a figure in Roman dress, carrying the box from the flames. Since then, there have been no sightings of the Lone Centurion, and many have speculated that if he ever existed, he perished in the fires of that night, performing one last act of devotion to the box he had pledged to protect for nearly two thousand years. - Rory, the boy who waited.

Enchanting Objects with Hypnos's Power
Enchanting Objects with the energy of the Gods has been done for all time, as long as any faith has existed. A common example of this is how Christians may see their crosses as not just symbols, but holding the power of christ. Enchantment can be general Hypnos's power, or you can set other intentions in relation to Him. It can also be done on any object as big or as small as you desire, Hypnos's power is strong and if you intend with faith it will be done. Normally when enchanting objects, it requires focus of intent, however, these strategies I offer are based on faith and letting it sit and absorb energy. When it comes to enchanting objects, you want to come in with a goal. Here are some Hypnos related ideas to enchant your item with!
better sleep
lucid dreaming aid
anti-nightmares
healing
protection
waking up energized
plurality aid
aid with mental health
sooth anxiety or stress
general Hypnos energy
etc!
Here are some object ideas you can enchant
pillows
blankets
jewelry(to carry that energy with you)
phone
clothes
couch
car
etc! It can be anything!!!
This process is very simple, and I offer 2 ways of doing it!
WITH AN ALTAR
With this one, Size may be limited as..Well Altar's won't be able to fit a car! This one is probably the easiest, all you have to do is place the object on the Altar and request to Hypnos to enchant the object. Allow it to sit there so it can absorb the Hypnos-related energy that surrounds it. If you're not sure how to ask, here is a quick prayer you can do!
"Hypnos, Vanquisher of worry, He who rest in Erebos, He whom I worship with love, I request from you to send your energy into this object. May it aid me with [INSERT INTENTION], powerful one I thank you and am honored to be before you."
Example: I desire to enchant this toy to soothe anxiety and connect me with Hypnos,
I will place it onto my altar and commence the enchantment using the prayer above as so:
"Hypnos, Vanquisher of worry, He who rest in Erebos, He whom I worship with love, I request from you to send your energy into this object. May it aid me with connecting with you and soothing my anxiety, powerful one I thank you and am honored to be before you."
I will then lay it there simply until I remember to grab it, it's that easy!
WITHOUT AN ALTAR
This is best for larger objects that don't fit on an altar, or for those who simply do not have one that is physical. All you need for this is a piece of paper, a writing tool, and faith. Place this sigil onto the paper, this sigil is Hypnos's and will instantly start to send out that energy as so is the function of sigils.
Place your object onto the sigil, or you can use a sticky note to place it onto the object. You will then recite the prayer above and leave the paper until you feel it is ready (or let it sit until you remember).

!! Artistic , Non-sexual Nudity !!
⸙gift for Lady Artemis ⸙
A devotional drawing for Lady Artemis , referencing a painting titled " Diana " by Jules Joseph Lefebvre .
Finally managed to draw something I'm actually really happy with for my Lady Artemis. I wasn't really happy with the old one I posted on here quite a while ago anymore , I really do hope she likes it too . I felt so content working on this and I loved drawing her , I really hope I managed to get the feeling of freedom I feel whenever I think of her across <33
The beautiful painting I was referencing for the posing and overall composition was definitely a good choice as the simple background didn't intimidate me for once and actually encouraged me to add more to it , like the cypress trees , the grass and the deer fur the goddess is leaning on .
I hope you guys like it too of course !!
