I'm thinking of running a murder mystery one shot that I did in the past. Maybe not in 5e, maybe powered by the apocalypse if I can find one for detecting.

the premise

In a secluded city which rests upon a cliff over looking the sea, most townsfolk make their living mining the cliffs for ore, or fishing and whaling. The ore refineries and factories powered by whale oil along with ocean fog create an oppressive cloud for much of the year. In this city by the sea, a killer lurks The Manticore, they have named themselves in letters they leave in place of the hearts they take. The scions of the nobility are the victims often eldest to youngest of the same family. Even the common folk fear the killer as many constables and housing staff are also found with their empty chests cracked open. A killer on the tail of a great tragedy The burgermeisters daughter and champion of the workers tragically fell and died on the eve of her wedding. Now the burgermeister and his once futur son in laws family guard the despondent fiance as the taunting riddles of the manticore name him a target. You are detectives hired from far away to help uncover the killer and find the truth of what's been going on

ngl as someone who is currently writing about working-class detectives and unions, I would read the SHIT out of anything you might choose to write about Silvie Dupré if you ever revisit her as more than a one-off thing. You give her such a great character voice and manage to convey so much detail in objectively vaguely-sketched terms and I love it. Bloody excellent.

This Stunning Gallo Belgic Ambiani E Gold Stater 50BC Recovered By Lisa Jones @norfolk_girl_detects using XP Deus 1 - Hot Program 💥 Plain obverse / Sinuous horse right, pellet below, other ornaments around. A wonderful example of this popular issue, bold, central strike showing good detail. It is commonly thought that it was these uniface staters which were used to pay the Gallic armies to fight Julius Caesar. The Gallo-Belgic C coins ended at the start of the Gallic Wars when Caesar attacked Gaul. They were replaced with Gallo-Belgic E (58-50 BC) which is possibly the largest series ever minted by the Celts. At the time of writing (2019) there are 1,019 known reverse dies, and over 2,100 known coins, leading to an estimate of 2,314 reverse dies (technically, somewhere between 1,778 and 3,318 dies, with 95% confidence). Assuming that one die could make 1,000 coins, total production would have been around 2.3 million coins. The early staters die link to Gallo-Belgic Ca, so are assigned to the Ambiani, but they were almost certainly minted, or at least financed, by the coalition of tribes at war with Caesar. It would take around 8,330Kg of gold to mint Gallo-Belgic E and it was unlikely that the Ambiani could manage this on their own, even if they recalled all of the Gallo-Belgic Ca coins and melted down their treasure reserves.
