i spent about 3 hours drafting and mocking a pattern for fabric sewn toe guards

i had to take apart both my rec skates and derby skates so i could measure stuff but i have a basic mock up thats mostly tailored to my riedell darts

it fits my rec skates so i think it should be versatile for other styles of quad skates

if anyone needs a pattern for diy toe guards, let me knwo

anyone got tips on dealing with an asshole that I cant really avoid seeing?

so theres this asshole i see most afternoons while I'm waiting for my bus, and I swear to the gods this guy is getting on my last nerve.

so he's a self proclaimed metalhead (not the issue here) who makes rude jokes about me and my music (part of the issue here) and poking fun at my folk punk and goth-y playlists.

He was occasionally a fun guy to hang around, but over the time I've known him, he's shown more and more red flags, things like off jokes and references, he threatened to kill me once (in a joke way apparently, but when I tell you I was terrified), he listens to a lot of dodgy bands (he knows they're dodgy).

but the other part of the issue is that I can't really even call him on it, because he's dating my stepsister and I know it'll get her back up too. I've already ghosted this guy (see above: threatened me) because I'm petty, but the more I think about it, the more I just don't like associating with this guy.

current plan is just to keep ghosting him until he fucks off and realises I don't want to talk to him anymore, but how bloody long will that take? (the answer: I will draw this out as long as i have to)
