September 18, 1966: After a weekend break in Paris with Paul, Brian, and Neil, John travels to Carboneras, Spain to continue filming How I Won The War. He first stays in a seafront hostel, Delfin Verde (The Green Dolphin). Here, he picks up his nylon-stringed Spanish guitar and a tape recorder and works on It's Not Too Bad, a rough idea that will evolve into Strawberry Fields Forever. To accommodate his visitors (Cynthia, Ringo, Maureen, and others), he later moves to a spacious villa, Santa Isabel, and continues to shape the song. The villa bears a distinct similarity to the grounds of the children's home that John visited as a child and may have unlocked memories to inspire the song's title. Before leaving, he writes "Santa Isabel Demos" on the tape.

These demos were released as a bootleg in 1997. The distinct "let me take you down" part of the song shows up at 5 minutes in, but it's missing the song title. Wait another minute to hear John to name it directly.

The back of the bootleg includes a tracklist with take numbers. It's not quite clear how those were decided; they look incorrect to me. My dolls usually want little sisters and brothers more than they want boyfriends, so while I was working with the hair of Hula Hair Teresa (now named Nerida because there is a doll with a prior claim on Teresa), I casually browsed eBay and doll sites for Kelly-sized dolls with aqua hair and brown skin.

The answer is mostly Chelsea mermaids and the Chelsea "I Can Be" Pop Star.

I don't hate her, but I don't have the urge to go out and spend $10 on her, either. One of my issues with over-collecting, back when my mother the compulsive shopper used to give me dolls, was that I'm happier if I'm moving at a pace where each individual doll is a carefully meaningful decision. Even if it's an impulse purchase, it has to feel like an amazing find. That's not an implied judgment on how other people shop! The drum I will bang is never, ever "there is one right way to collect," but instead "become self-aware of what style of collecting makes you happiest and stick to it."

Anyway, no Chelsea Pop Star for the moment. But yesterday, we were in the big Dollar Tree in Manteca, and I spotted this girlie on a random shelf, not even in the toy section. There was just something about her... can you spot what?

At first glance, what I spotted was a new Sparkle Girlz doll with brown skin. The Girlz have gotten a lot whiter in recent years. But I'd sworn off Sparkle Girlz when I started buying vintage Kid Kore clones, because Sparkle Girlz look cartoonish by comparison.

What hooked me was that $1 sticker over the scratched-off bar code. Everything at Dollar Tree now starts at $1.25, so she was marked down below standard pricing. Meanwhile, I couldn't find a display of additional Sparkle Girlz at all. So here is one singular doll, with aqua streaks and brown skin, priced ridiculously low. She's coming home.

Meet Delfine. She's in perfect condition, despite her ravaged box. Look at those detailed sandals!

Judging from online stock photos, Delfine might have been missing a second pet -- a purple-pink puppy -- and a mirror or brush. That version is priced $16-$20 currently. I have zero regret about forgoing an unrealistic dog.

Delfine is fitting in nicely with her family.

Celestia era pequeño, a comparación de los planetas vecinos, pero lleno de vida y fulgor. Toda su superficie estaba conformada por agua, sin embargo, habían nacido allí, su simple existencia les daba las capacidades exactas para subsistir. Las voces a orillas de la gran ciudad desaparecieron junto a la oscuridad que se acercaba con una velocidad presurosa. Interrumpiendo los gritos, siendo arrebatadas desde las tráqueas, consumidas en las gargantas. La gente rezaba a diversas entidades, llorando ante lo ocurrido, esperando lo peor, sintiendo el miedo acrecentarse sin control, a medida de la negrura apremiante.

A lo lejos del universo, el pequeño y tímido planeta desapareció, hundiéndose en una piscina de tinta negra, de textura parecida a la brea. Para luego desvanecerse, dejando todo en perfecto orden, como si Celestia, nunca hubiera existido.

Noch immer sterben Jahr für Jahr rund 300.000 Wale und Delfine als Beifang, insbesondere wenn Thunfische gefangen werden. Höchste Zeit, sich einmal mit diesem traurigen Thema zu beschäftigen!

Aber wieso werden so viele Meeressäuger Opfer der Fischerei?

Ein Hauptgrund liegt in der engen Verbindung zwischen Delfinen und Thunfischen, die oft in derselben Region vorkommen und gemeinsam unterwegs sind (die Delfine schwimmen an der Wasseroberfläche, der Thunfischschwarm bis zu 150m darunter). Besonders im tropischen Ostpazifik nutzen Fischer diese Tatsache, um ihre Zielart effizienter (mittels Ringwadennetzen) zu fangen.

Wie das abläuft, erklärt die GRD (Gesellschaft zur Rettung der Delphine) wie folgt: "Nachdem eine Delfinschule geortet wurde, werden die Meeressäuger mit mitgeführten schnellen Beibooten bis zur völligen Erschöpfung gehetzt und in die Netze (Ringwade) getrieben. Dann wird die Ringwade unterhalb des Thunfischschwarms wie ein Beutel zugezogen. Delfine und Thunfische befinden sich jetzt im Netz. Bevor der Thunfisch an Bord geholt wird, werden die Delfine durch Herablassen des oberen Netzteils freigelassen. Allerdings kann nicht jeder Delfin lebend gerettet werden. Durch diese Fangtechnik sterben jedes Jahr mehrere Hundert Delfine.(...) Die Delfine werden gezielt “missbraucht”, um den Thunfisch zu fangen!" 😰

Aber auch andere Fangmethoden, wie die riesigen Treibnetze, Schleppnetze oder Langleinen führen in der Regel zum Beifang von Delfinen, Walen, Haien, Schildkröten usw.! 😢

Fazit: Wer Thunfisch und andere Meeresfische kauft, sollte sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass er damit auch den sinnlosen Tod von Delfinen verursacht oder zumindest in Kauf nimmt! Setzt deshalb besser auf pflanzliche Alternativen und boykottiert alle Tierprodukte! 😎🌱

Alright I promised it so here’s my top 20 matches

Now a quick heads up, this isn’t just going to be a retread of my 5-star list. That’s more of a list of what I think is the best matches in the world, while this is more matches that I in particular like and/or hold sentiment for me. Though there will inevitably be overlap

Honorable mentions:

Hangman Adam Page vs Bryan Danielson 12/15- This match is basically number 21. this is the best AEW world title match and I love it sooo much but it just barely gets eeked out by the other 20

Asuka vs Ember Moon Takeover Brooklyn 3- one of the best NXT women’s matches and just barely didn’t make the cut. If they were to do this with modern Athena this would soar in my personal rankings Bull Nakano vs Aja Kong 11/4- an excellent finale to Aja's long title chase and her crowning as the new top boss of AJW

Kaientai DX vs Gran Hamada, Gran Naniwa, Masato Yakushiji, Super Delfin, and Tiger Mask 4- great and extremely fun multiman tag and a perfect primer for Michinoku Pro's style

Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton 6/24- One of Randy's best matches and probably the best PG era no DQ match. THE LIST: 20. Bryan Danielson vs Kenny Omega, 4/12/09- a cartoonish and lighthearted match before each man went on to dominate the world. This is probably the most farcical match on this list but for good reason. it's an excellent display of both men's comedy chops, crowd work and eventually a sprint of both men's in ring capabilities. I delightful foot note

19. Cody vs Dustin Rhodes, 5/25/19- The Match that made me go "oh yeah, AEW's gonna work." Bar none Dustin's best match as he and his brother honor their late father's legacy by drenching themselves in blood. I know Dustin getting busted open was an accident but it added so much to the sprit of the match.

18. WALTER vs Ilja Dragunov, 8/22/21- This is the best NXT match of all time. A passionate and brutal rematch of their 2020 encounter. Dragunov shows he truly does have that dog in him as with a chest made of hamburger meat and a gash on his forehead, physically clobbers WALTER into submission

17. Steve Corino vs Yoshihiro Tajiri, 5/14- This is probably my most self indulgent pick on this list as I feel a lot of people could be turned off by Corino's racist pre match promo. I justify my liking of this match by going "DID YOU SEE HOW HARD TAJIRI KICKED THAT RACIST FUCK'S HEAD?!" Tajiri gives Corino one of the most satisfying beat downs I've ever seen and it rocks so hard.

16. Tsuruta Gun vs SGA 4/20- best 6-man tag in wrestling history, every participant plays their part perfectly. Tsuruta Gun's monumental hater energy is prevalent in all 3 members, Jumbo's ongoing grouchy ace energy, Taue fighting to prove he belongs with the vets, and Fuchi's the evil old man viciously harassing his younger opponents. Meanwhile Misawa, Kawada and Kobashi are in a constant state of white hot babyface sprit that does not let up the entire match.

15. Rey Misterio vs Eddie Guerrero 10/27- The perfect encapsulation of WCW's cruiserweight division. Eddie clawing and slamming Rey with the viciousness only a rudo like himself can show off. Meanwhile Rey shows of just why he's one of the best underdog babyfaces as he uses everything in his book to counteract Eddie's harsh offence. Special shoutout to Rey's The Sprit gear here as it works with the theming of the PPV and as a visual metaphor for a Luchador's mask being a part of themselves.

14. E&C vs The Hardy Boys vs The Dudley Boys 4/1- WWE's best stipulation match with 3 of their best tag teams ever. TLC 2 is the wrestling equivalent to watching the police car pile up from the end of Blues Brothers. An insane series of mesmerizing car crashes in rapid precession.

13. Akira Taue vs Toshiaki Kawada 4/1- These 2 start their own independent blood feud while inside the bigger blood feud that is Tsuruta Gun vs Super Generation Army. Taue and Kawada go at each other like 2 beta fish in the same tank, fast and violently. Taue in particular does the rare but awesome All Japan blade job. a dark horse in the 4 Pillars cannon

12. Eddie Kingston vs Jun Akiyama 11/19- The proper match itself is a good time and one of Eddie's sleeper hits, but the post match is special to me. Eddie showing respect to one of his all time heroes and that hero showing an equal amount of respect back is the only time a wrestling match made me cry. The exact moment I realized who my favorite wrestler is, hail to the Mad King.

11. KENTA vs Ricky Marvin 10/15- This match is one of the best sprints I've ever seen. The moment Marvin launches himself at KENTA begins 2 minuets of the 2 men throwing the sickest strikes and nastiest bombs I've ever seen. Gets everyone I've shown it to jumping out of their seats

10. CM Punk vs John Cena 7/17- Punk snatches victory from the jaw of a corporation. Punk truly attains his 2nd City Saint nickname and the title of generational talent. Cena's no slouch here either as he does his patented one night stoic heel routine like it's 2006 all over again.

9. Jon Moxley vs Wheeler YUTA 4/6- This is my most biased pick as I was there live in the arena for this, but also it's the best match I've ever seen live, so it evens out. This is the match that convinced me Yuta is a guy to look out for. Jon Moxley initiates Wheeler Yuta into the BCC through blood and carnage. I was physically leaping out of my seat as Yoots bit and clawed his way to meet Mox on his level. While he failed to beat Mox, Wheeler's sheer tenacity proved he deserves to stand shoulder to shoulder with some of the best wrestlers in the world.

8. Kenta Kobashi vs Kensuke Sasaki 7/18- I lovingly described this match to a friend as "if 2 fridges worked out and hated your chest." 7. Daniel Bryan vs John Cena 8/18- This is John Cena's best match in his best genre, all timer wrestler sets their legend in stone by surpassing Big Match John. Bryan that this point was, you know, an exceptional technician with a storied career outside of The Fed. But this particular bout cemented him as a star so bright Even the WWE couldn't look the other way as oceans of people rallied behind that little harry hippie.

6. Mitsuharu Misawa vs Toshiaki Kawada, 6/3- This match is mythical. A short hand for greatest of all time for those in the know. In the early years of their decade spanning war, Toshiaki Kawada throws everything in his arsenal at Misawa. In the face of this offence, the Ace manages to have an all timer comeback. I first watched this while on a plane ride and by the time the match was over I didn't ever realize the plane had landed, I was so enthralled I lost track of time.

5. Mitsuharu Misawa vs Toshiaki Kawada, 6/6- Buuuut this is my favorite match between the 2. Years later into the feud, Misawa and Kawada have fought so many time and have elevated into a barrage of heavy bombs, stiff strikes and tight grapples. Kawada is an absolute freak at this point, desperate for his first win and eating everything the Ace has in store. Despite all his efforts, the heartbreak sets in as Misawa once again vanquishes Dangerous K. The ending is the same as always but hits hard, Kawada was so close, but victory slips away yet again.

4. The Briscoes vs FTR 12/10- I find it fitting the late great Jay Briscoe's last great match, the last Great Briscoes match, sits atop the heap as the best tag team match. Blood and metal fly. Jay's bleed, Mark's bleeding, Dax and Cash are bleeding. hell even the ref gets in on the blood. A grand farewell to the best team, dead or alive.

3. Terry Funk vs Atsushi Onita, 5/5- This match is a beautiful as it is violent and boy, is it violent. Onita and Funk slug each other as their bodies are pelted with explosions as the hit real barbwire. The battle makes these great transitions as it goes from all out hatred to desperation as the clock winds down, then finally one of the grandest acts of kindness I've ever seen in a match. Onita, realizing Funk will get caught in the explosion, show his foe some humanity and shields his near lifeless body from the final bomb. The best ending to any match I've ever seen

2. Shinobu Kandori vs Akira Hokuto, 4/2- This. Is. War. Hokuto and Kandori go at each other from minute one with unparalleled animosity. They're snappy, they're agile, they are vicious. Kandori's murderous submission holds, Hokuto's brilliant dives and bombs, THAT TOMBSTONE ON THE TABLE. Undoubtedly the greatest women's match ever, no chance of it being topped.

Kenta Kobashi vs Samoa Joe 10/1- The perfect dream match. 2 of the best to ever do it, at the hottest time for the promotion, at the zenith of both men's careers. Kobashi is fresh off his legendary reign of fire with the GHC heavyweight title. Joe's in that mythical period of his career where he's the best wrestler who ever lived. It is 2 unparalleled greats colliding likes stars, and the explosion is spectacular

Ocean Rift es un juego de simulación para la realidad virtual que nos ofrecerá la experiencia de vivir en un parque acuático en el que habitarán delfines, tiburones, orcas, tortugas y otras especies, como rayas, leones marinos e incluso reptiles marinos prehistóricos. El videojuego incluye varias hábitats y un sistema de animación y texturizado en 3D que imitará de forma realista el movimiento de estas criaturas.

Tienes un montón de aplicaciones/juegos/demos muy buen@s confortables tanto gratuitos como de pago (Robo Recall, Dead & Buried, UnSpoken, First Contact, Herobound, SuperhotVr, Landfall, etc, ...). Si eres sensible al mareo durante los primeros días solo utiliza esos juegos.

2 - NO GIRES CON EL STICK, GIRA FISICAMENTE/CON TU CUERPO. Si juegas a un FPS JUEGA DE PIE y cuando tengas que girar no gires con el mando gira con tu cuerpo. El stick derecho del mando de la xbox (el de giro) NO LO DEBES UTILIZAR SI ERES SENSIBLE AL MAREO (Lo mismo se aplica para el Stick del Touch Derecho).

3 - Asegurate que no bajen las fps de 90 o de 45 si se ha activado el ASW. Si tu equipo no va bien o tienes la cofiguración gráfica elevada y no consigues los 90 estables debes bajarla. Para evitar mareos y tener una buena experiencia debes tener 90fps o 45fps solidos como una roca. Puedes ver los fps con la aplicación Ocean debug tool seleccionando 'Visible HUD' Enabled. La gran ópera Tajuno y la Luna en su estreno mundial.

La obra "Tajuno y la Luna" nos habla sobre la problemática de la caza furtiva y el tráfico ilícito de animales en la biodiversidad amazónica. Esta ópera se estrenó el 22 y 23 de mayo en el Teatro Casa de la Cultura, contando con la participación del coro infantil y la orquesta de cámara formada por docentes y estudiantes del conservatorio.

Escrita por Sadiel Cuentas, un compositor peruano conocido por obras como "Post Mortem" y "El Vigilante Enmascarado" (estrenadas en 2012 y 2013), la ópera relata la historia de Jarumi, un niño que trabaja en un galpón de animales porque su padre no puede costear sus estudios. Jarumi cuida de los animales, los alimenta y también juega con ellos en el galpón. Su patrón lo trata muy mal y lo deja trabajando horas extra. Una noche de luna llena, Tajuno canta y crea un vínculo especial con Jarumi, quien decide liberar a los animales y enfrentarse a su patrón. La obra culmina con un emotivo canto que proclama: "Todos los niños tienen derecho a estudiar".

La obra está compuesta por cuatro escenas y cuenta con Maritza Nuñez a cargo del libreto, el Lcdo. Santiago Paccha en la dirección musical, la Mg. María Belén Ochoa en la dirección escénica, la Mg. Mariaeugenia Arias en la dirección coral, el Lcdo. Jorge Regalado en la técnica vocal, Davi Zoering como pianista correpetidor invitado y Moisés Ortíz como pianista del coro infantil.

Los personajes principales fueron interpretados por José Esteban Calle como el Patrón, Mateo Tamayo como Gerardo, Josué Morales como el primer Jarumi, Matías Arévalo como el segundo Jarumi, Carlos Carchipulla como el primer Tajuno, Ítalo Samaniego como el segundo Tajuno, Emilia Chumbi como la primera Wilma, Judith Bustamante como la segunda Wilma, Dafne Calle como Pecarí, y los ronsocos interpretados por Darling Pineda, Dayana Benalcazar y Emily Huayllasaca, y finalmente Joaquín Vanegas como Mico Nocturno. El coro representaba una variedad de animales amazónicos, como nutrias, ranas venenosas, paiches, tucanes, delfines, carachupas, monos araña, tigrillos bebés, jaguares y colibrís. La orquesta estuvo conformada por violines (1 y 2), viola, cello, contrabajo, flauta, oboe, clarinete, fagot, corno, trompeta, trombón y percusión.

La obra tuvo una excelente acogida, llenando el teatro ambos días de su estreno y motivando al público con su mensaje y puesta en escena. La combinación de talentos jóvenes y experimentados, junto con una narrativa conmovedora y relevante, aseguró que "Tajuno y la Luna" dejara una impresión duradera en los espectadores, subrayando la importancia de la conservación y la protección de la fauna amazónica.

Hello! It's no worries, I'd love to answer your question, thusly I will :] Do note that I will be mostly talking about my own personal experience with Linking. Everyone's definitions and experiences will vary, so don't be afraid to ask around!

Now then: I've seen the term "Link" have quite a few definitions. When I was introduced to it, I saw it referred to as: "A character you identify with for coping/fun purposes"

Which for some folks, comes off as KFF (Kin For Fun), although it's more complex than that- at least for me.

In my personal experience, I would define "Link" as: "A character you identify with for generally any reason; A character you consider to be yourself, in some manner"

In my personal experience, I tend to fall in and out of Link stages. Many days, I am just my normal self: Cody.

However, on other days, I feel my sense of self shift. While I am still me- I have not blacked out, nor do I feel revolted by the idea of my Cody-self- I don't feel like Cody. I find myself wanting to talk through a character. Usually, as I talk on Discord a lot, I make myself a Tupperbox Bot. I find an image that fits how I feel. I assign it the name I feel, and the pronouns I feel. Here are some of my bots as examples!

Each bot has the word "Link" and a coffee cup emoji in brackets at the end of their name, denoting that they're bots intended for Link-Shifts. Each bot represents six characters- all Homestuck characters, one character being doubled-up - and each has their own name and pronouns.. The first bot reads "Dualscar / Delfin (Avoid, Namself, Sea-Related). The second bot reads "Jake English!! (Any, Get Funky!). The third bot reads "The Orphaner Dualscar (He/Fin)". The fourth bot reads "Mituna", however his name is spelt using a typing quirk- making the "i" in his name be a "1" instead, doubling up the 1-I, and the "a" at the end being replaced with a "4". In plaintext, his pronouns read "(Any but she/her tbh)". The fifth bot reads "Rufioh Nitram!!", however the "i"s are replaced with "1"s. His pronouns read "(HE/RUF)". The sixth bot reads "CALIBORN", with fancy symbols around the name, his pronouns reading "(ANY/ALL)". The seventh bot reads "twinArgmageddons"- a mispelling of "twinArmageddons"- with his pronouns reading "[HE/IT, ANY]". Each bot has their own message, some with typing quirks and others without. End ID.] As is visible in my screenshots, sometimes I take up typing quirks- as they feel like the proper way for me to talk. Sometimes, I don't. My links can happen for multiple reasons. Sometimes I link due to stress. Sometimes I link because I'm jealous. Other times, my brain simply decides that it's time to link. Also as is visible in my screenshots, I tend to link male/masc characters- it's something due to me not wanting to be viewed in a feminine way online :]

Linking could be mistaken for roleplay, however it's more than that! You feel connected with the character- like you are them in some manner (at least in my experience). Unlike Kinning (at least from my understanding of Kinning), you don't feel completely like the character- you don't feel like a reincarnated version of them, or like the entirety of you is them. You still feel somewhat like yourself during a Link-Shift. Your concept of self just changes, in some manner (Again, at least in MY experience).

I guess as a TL;DR, a good explanation of "linking" is: "Feeling an identity-related connection to a character for reasons that vary from linker to linker."
