As a therian with a commonly hunted theriotype, I don’t see many alterhumans talking about how hard it can be to find pictures\videos of your theriotype\kintype\linktype\ect. without seeing dead animal photos.

I might just be overly sensitive, but I just want to see pictures of black coyotes without seeing a dead one as one of the first results. I know there’s not much I can do about it but still, it sucks :(

Being a therian/otherkin is literally so hard 2 live with, like I love watching birds fly by but at the same time I want to sink my teeth into their feathers and feel their warm blood seep into my mouth. I want to bundle up outside in my den and eat my breakfast there and stomp my big paws around.

I wanna bathe in the sunlight *and* moonlight, sleep all day and groom my fur.

Not to say that you aren’t allowed to dislike humanity (everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I won’t judge anyone for that), but saying that you hate humans because humans can be cruel or because they kill each other always confuses me.

You’re ascribing what you wish humanity was (and how you wish people treated you) onto animals that do not experience compassion, or love, or hate. Which is just not what nature is. Did you know that 25% of all meerkat deaths were caused by other meerkats? Did you know that if a zebra suspects that if a child is not theirs, they’ll kill the baby or force the mother to miscarry? Did you know that lions will break the spines of hyenas just to see them suffer, and leave them to die (which can take hours or days)? Did you know that many marsupials would rather sacrifice their child than be eaten by a predator (by dropping their child in front of the predator and running away)? Did you know that bees who accidentally consume fermented honey get their legs and wings ripped off by other members of the hive?

I didn’t make this post to tell you not to hate humans, but I do wish that people wouldn’t think of nature as some beautiful utopia where every creature loves one another, and prescribe human characteristics onto animals who don’t have a concept of morality or self-awareness.

Physically. I am standing in a Hot topic scoffing at the lack of good emo band merch. Mentally I have come across the carcass of an elk another pack left on my old territory, scoffing at the crude way the animal was killed and the sheer amount of meat they left on the bones.
