McFarlane Toys has introduced the new #BatmanBeyond: Neo-Gothic figure.

The figure represents #TerryMcGinnis as #Gotham’s future protector in #DCComics’ ongoing storyline. The figure showcases Terry’s updated suit with a redesigned mask, logo, swappable hands, and detachable wings, bringing his latest look to life.

The figure stands 7 inches tall and has 22 points of articulation. It also has a collectible art card and display base. It is available for pre-order at $22.99 and is slated for release in January 2025.

I've begun watching #myadventureswithsuperman and I do like the show, I find that the pacing is too rushed and that the character designs often look too way generic for my personal tastes, especially when they're based on iconic #dccomics characters.

This is NOT meant to shame the production staff who work on the show, this is much more of a fun little artistic exercise. With that said, here are the ways I tweaked the design;

*I kept the general shape of the gauntlets she wore in the two-parter series beginning and also kept the hair colour, skin tone and eye colour out of respect. * Her top is based on the Livewire of the original DC Animated universe, with the lightning bolt acting as a reference to the original's leotard and it's incredibly deep neckline. * The lightning bolt emblem is a reference to the Zero-Hour Reboot Legion of Superheroes where Lightning Lad, going by the codename of Livewire, sported a similar design for the lightning bolts on his costume. * The wires around the gauntlets are meant to invoke the wires used in cranial electrostimulation, or CES, to treat cases of depression, anxiety and or insomnia. I wanted to suggest that she could have a sympathetic backstory or that her equipment radically alters her personality and she's become addicted to its power.

In "Over and Out," the penultimate episode for Season Four, the villainous Kryptonian Dru-Zod, newly escaped from the Phantom Zone, spots a framed Daily Planet newspaper article in the Fortress of Solitude. The article's photo captures the image of Lois Lane conducting an exclusive interview with the Last Son of Krypton, Superman.

Based on a rough storyboard mock-up, I was assigned to create the "photo," using the character models originally designed by Phil Bourassa. Although I only needed to provide the figures, long after the fact I've decided to add a rudimentary background. In the reference provided, Lois looked to be using a microphone. But because Lois is a print reporter, not television, I went with a digital voice recorder and a notepad for greater distinction.

I hate Geoff Johns but his version of Kon-El has become very popular despite barely ever actually existing, having like 17 pages of solo content, and it's incredibly impressive but also infuriating because his version of Kon-El is by far the most boring version of the character.
