Mutual “Adult Supervision”

Danny Fenton may age, but his ghost form sure doesn’t. He’s an adult in his civilian life, but his hero form is perpetually 14. Which isn’t that big of a deal, but it is annoying how people outside of Amity keep treating him like a child when he’s trying to help.

Then he meets Captain Marvel, who is his inverse. An actual kid who transforms into an adult body for hero work.

And they have a genius idea: they can become each other’s “adult supervision” for things!

Danny Fenton can act as the “adoptive father” to Billy Batson for civilian matters, while Captain Marvel can act as the “mentor” to Phantom for hero work!

Now people will finally stop bothering them!

Adoption AU

An AU in which Danny adopts Damian after Ra summons him in an attempt for immortality, offering Damian as a sacrifice. Unlucky for Ra he didn’t know the difference between an initial sacrifice for summoning and sacrifice when making a deal. Luckily for Danny this leads to him getting a free son, thank you cultists fruitloop. Damian being adopted by Danny works out really well for Damian, his violent tendencies mixing well with Ghost culture. Add on to Danny having experience with getting along with beings that often tried to kill him in the beginning and seeing Damian as the slightly feral child that he is they make a wonderful family.

I also see Danny adopting Billy Batson at some point. He isn’t going to let a child superhero not have support like he did. Your living on the streets and saving the world on a daily basis? Here is a safe place with food and no judgement. This is my son now. He is not even 25 and now has 3 kids if you count Elle, which I am.

Meeting the Kids Pt. 1

Okay alright I'm tired of giving more children to Bruce Wayne I think we need to start taking some away 

Tim getting kidnapped (but in a way they don't announce Tim Drake-Wayne as missing??) and is given Something that induces amnesia but he escapes or maybe just literally wanders away but like he's in the middle of Ohio and he's walking down the road unsure of his own name or where he is and a weird looking camper pills over and a large man leans out the window and says “you doing alright there, sonny?” 

And he doesn't really know so he sorta shrugs so they pick him up and the man introduces himself as Jack and this is his wife Maddie and their two kids Danny and Jazz and they're just heading back from a camping trip and they can take him into town (Amity?) and take him down to the station and help him get things figured out 

The police take his picture and upload it to a “found” database or smth but there's no active or recent cases in Ohio for missing persons (or teenagers) matching his description 

(But also, Amity is pretty disconnected from the rest of the world digitally. They mind their business. Sure they run this boy's face in the newspaper and let the neighboring precincts about him but there's not much more they can do until this kid gets some memories back)

So he goes to stay with Jack and Maddie (idk how i don’t care about LAWS) while they wait to see if they get any hits or until he gets some memories back and they register him under Alvin (“hmm maybe... Tom? No, definitely not. Caroline? Alvin? That sounds the best I guess”) Fenton at the local high school so he can keep getting an education (and Alvin isn’t sure why, but this sort of feels like a waste of time, he already knows all this math stuff and why would he want to read Of Mice and Men he’s pretty sure someone told him John Steinbeck was a hack. Or maybe not. He can’t remember) but it’s simple enough and he likes the Fentons even if they keep trying to convince him ghosts are real 

And maybe they are. Actually. Real that is. He saw one the other day and had to double check if knowing ghosts were real is a common knowledge thing that he forgot of if he never knew in the first place. Jazz tells him that ghosts are pretty much an Amity specific thing but that they appear other places and then Jack and Maddie set him down and give him the entire history of ghosts that night and then show him their lab which is pretty cool

And maybe he accidentally suplexed someone who startled him in the halls on his first day and also fell asleep in science,but give him a break! he’s going through a lot right now

But his new brother roommate friend? Is helping him adjust at school by telling him who to avoid and what not to eat from the cafeteria and Jazz is in most of his classes but also he’s not sure why they’re trying to act all sneaky about this Inviso-Bill/vigilante situation because like. That’s clearly just Danny with white hair? He looks the exact same? Also he literally saw Danny walk through the bathroom door last week if it wasn’t obvious enough.

So Tim really isn’t expecting Danny to be surprised that he picked up a thermos that Phantom dropped when he and his friends ran off to fight another ghost

I seen a few post about Billy and Danny either getting tricked into marrying each other or just marrying each other for the convenience, so I’m making my own.

Billy 12. Danny 14. They’re not in a love relationship they get along like friends 

(During some magical ghost crisis)

Green Arrow: Are we sure we can’t just call Cap

Black Canary: No, I told you this already, Marvel had family troubles and that he would be off online

John Constantine: besides, you have me the worl-

Zatanna: and me

John: yeah yeah and her helping you take care of this ghost, all we have to do is-

(After trying out his plan and processed to get their butts kicked)

Green arrow: that fail horribly

John: shut it

Batman: we need a new plan before that thing destroys anymore of the city

Superman: is there anything else we can do

Zatanna: we try summoning a greater ghost to deal with this ghost

Green arrow: and who do we call to deal with the new ghost

Zatanna: no no we just need to summon a ghost who has to leave after it completes its task.

John: true there are ghost like that but usually very weak, doubt they could take out are problem.

Zatanna: there is one we try

John: which one are—OH HELL NO, you trying to get this all killed

Batman: what are you both talking about

John: she wants to summon the The Ghost King Consort 

Black canary: and that’s bad way?

Zatanna: The Ghost King is already a bloody tyrant and you can imagine how worst his partner can be. But the Constant can beat this ghost and would have to return back to the ghost realm.

John: yeah but that doesn’t stop them from going to the king and getting us in trouble.

Zatanna: what other choice do we have

Everyone:…

Batman: do it

(The summoning)

John: stand back everyone , there’s no telling what this thing can do

Billy: *poof* …..

John:……

Everyone: ……

Superman: tha that’s a child

Billy: um hello (“nonono did they figure out my identity”)

John: this can’t be real

Superman: OH MY GOD THAT IS A CHILD

Batman: (crouching down to Billy) hello little one, are you ok?

Billy: um ….yes!…… why am I here? 

Batman: Do you know who the ghost king is

Billy: (thinking about Danny, not the previous ghost king) yes he’s my husband (“that so weird saying”)

Superman:that’s a child

Batman: (presses his lips together into a frowning face) we called you here to help us take care of a ghost that is destroying everything, can you help.

Billy: (smile so bright that there is a ting of pain that goes through everyone’s heart) of course, it would be my honor. Tawny here can help (raises a Stuffed beat up Tiger)

Superman: Oh god the tiger has a name.

( after defeating the ghost and sending it back)

Billy: (prepare to step in the summoning circle to go back home)

Black canary: wait ummm

Billy: billy

Black canary: has the ghost king made you anything you don’t want to do

Billy: what

Green arrow: how old are you

Billy: um 12, look I have to go before someone comes looking for me

Batman: here take this (holds out a card), call if you ever need help.

Billy: ok (takes the card) bye

( billy vanishes right before their eyes as he steps into the circle)

Superman: oh my god that was a child.

Bruce, tired father of too many children, wished for a small break.

Just a tiny one.

He pinched his nose, cowl covering his head and expression and glared.

"I can't believe you snitched on me!" Billy batson, freshly revealed teen and sitting on his usual spot during meetings, hisses.

"If I have to get parented, so do you!" Danny fenton, also freshly revealed teenager, glared right back.

"Boys." Both their attention snapped to wonder woman, still tense and warry.

"Do you two have adult supervision, at least." Batman asks, feeling slightly more drained than before, he can feel Nightwing's stare at the back of his head, coming closer.

"Do the voices count?" Danny asks, to which Billy nodded. "Yeah, do they? Zeus has strong opinions, and many kids. He probably can parent, somewhat."

They shrugged both, like they hadn't just opened another whole can of questions.

"Wait!" Danny snapped his fingers, "what about clocky? He sends us on time missions, has his own lair, and lets us hang around. That counts? Right?"

The other teen nods in agreement.

(Knowing both are black haired and blue-eyed teens, he already knows Dick will never let him live this down. Deceived by children, for YEARS.)

(So much for being the greatest detective.)

(The text he sent to Alfred is between him and his butler dad.)

"Or—"

In the end, the two agreed reluctantly to stay around for a while. The Kents, the Allens, Diana, and the Waynes have opened up their homes to house them permanently.

Much their amusement, they declared, that to make no one jealous, they'd switch homes every other week or so.

That alone smelled like chaos.

Whatever, it was Diana's first week.

(And if the house of mysteries appeared in front of them sometimes, that's also between them and a very suffering John constantine.)

Danny blinked at the small children Ellie was holding the hand of, looking quite proud of herself. The small children- between ten and twelve so somewhere similar to Ellie’s age- who both practically stank of magic and Gods. 

He took a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose even as Dan cackled while opening the door more to let them inside. “Alright, what’s your name, kids?”

“B-billy…um, Billy Batson...” “‘m Percy! Percy Jackson.” 

“Nice to meet you two- any idea where in your family you have a god or two, because one of you definitely smells like Zeus and I’m pretty sure Poseidon and I am not dealing with either of my half-brothers.”

Lemons? Pt. 2 (Adoption AU)

Here's the first part:

Dick took another deep breath while leaning against the cool metal that made up most of the watchtower. As much as he appreciates puns and how much easier it will be to track down these kids' villain relatives with a last name he still feels a bit weak in the knees with these revelations being thrown out one after another. They talk about it so casually and that makes him sick to his stomach. Potential villain grandparents, their terrifying weapons that disregard ethics, and apparently weapons that make the one they mentioned seem tame in their eyes. All of that speaks of those kids going through something they shouldn’t have had to.

“Is that how Dad got his terrible naming sense?” the first voice asked, dragging Dick out of his depressing thoughts.

“Huh,” Ellie huffed out, “Never thought of that.”

“Tt. It is likely that it is a biological disposition if you consider the naming sense of those that share his species alongside the Fenton genes. Now cease this needless drivel and assist me with returning home.”

The more words that come out of these kids' mouths, the more Dick just wants to disregard any stealth and poke his head through the door’s opening so he can bundle them up in a bunch of blankets. Maybe ask a few questions about their dad and ask them how they would feel about being adopted by a billionaire. He is sure Bruce wouldn’t mind, even if they, or even just their dad, weren’t fully human from what they have said.

“Alright Dami,” said the first voice with the sound of something being shuffled in the background. “Though-” before they could continue the sound of something tearing cut them off.

“Wulf!” one of the kids cried with joy.

Before Dick could begin to panic and do something about a wolf of all things somehow getting into the watchtower the kids began to speak again.

“Wulf, it is a pleasure to see you again,” Dami said softly as if he was looking at a cute puppy.

“Yeah, and you have perfect timing too!” The first voice cheered.

“Just don’t tell Dad, okay?” Ellie asked.

A gruff voice replied in a language Dick has neither understood nor ever heard before.

“Oh come on,” Ellie groused, “It’s no big deal. No one even saw us.”

The new person just replied in the same strange language.

“All right, all right.” Dick could practically hear Elle roll her eyes while she continued to grumble, something about causing a prison riot and breaking out?!?

The sound of feet shuffling and zipping was all he heard before it became silent.

After a minute of silence Dick peeked into the meeting room which he previously heard the kids in only to find it devoid of anyone. A lemon lying on the floor being the only evidence that he didn’t hallucinate the whole thing.

Note: Dick later checks out the security footage of where the kids were only for the footage to be full of static for the whole encounter.

Danny woke up, the lull of dreams calling to him once again. He heard a soft, sweet, familiar voice like the echoes of night calling to him, "Goodbye for now, little King."

Danny, though, opened his eyes, something fuzzy obstructed his vision, but Danny just felt so warm and comfortable that it didn't bother him. He let himself fall between the waking and sleeping realms for just a minute longer, but then he heard the soft tap taps of pens, and the shuffling of papers, and Danny's heart thudded into waking beats - fast for him, but slow for normal humans - as his mind panicked with the though of all the paperwork he had to do!

Danny forced himself awake and moved whatever was in his face away from himself. Danny sat there stunned for a second because it seemed like he was nestles in a pile of blankets that haphazardly made some kind of cozy, nonescapable, nest around him.

Danny struggled for a few moments more, before groaning and giving up, looking at all the stacks of papers work looming before him.

Then, Danny once again heard the shuffling of papers and the scribbling of pens.

Before, Danny could panic, though, a green (not an ectoplasmic green, though) bipolar figure intangible seeped through some stacks of paperwork (and oh that reminded Danny that he could just use his intangabilty to escpae his blanket burrito) and greeted Danny with a smile, "Young one, do you remember that that King had us help you with paperwork?"

Danny took a moment to process that, and then he beamed, tears of relief spilling to his eyes, "Thank the Ancients! I thought that I was going crazy! I mean you're Martian Manhunter, and alien from Mars, and you're helping me with Paper work. I feel like I'm still dreaming, but I know for a fact that Nocturn isn't giving me dreams right now."

Martian Manhunter, or better known as J'onn smiles at the boy, "Indeed young one? Do you want to see the process Batman, Wonder Woman, and I made with all the paperwork?"

Danny beans at his favorite hero, and intangibly gets uo from all the angles blankest and floats over to the Martian, while they go through the secluded stacks from Danny's makeshift bed and into the rest of the area.

Danny is stunned as he sees that all the stacks are all organized in neat stacks with neat labels for each stack, with a huge stack behind him being for John Conatintine.

Danny really hated whoever that guy was. There were so many complaints over the township of that guys soul from hell (and bou was that a wild day when Danny learned that hell and all the other afterlives existed and were connected to the Infinite Realms which he now rules over).

Danny sat there stunned for a second, the pure relief and gratifying buzzing through his core.

Danny spoke to the heroes, who were now turned to him, "Thank you so much for helping me. I don't know how I could ever thank you enough!"

Wonder Woman smiles gently at Danny, "There's no need to thank us, we're just doing what heroes to best helping those in need"

Martian Manhunter gnetly lats Danny on the back, "It's no problem, young one, and we would gladly be willing to assist again."

Batman, hummed, and came over to Danny and handed the boy some kind of paper.

Danny looked puzzled at the bat themed hero, but Batman just grunted and said in a crazy but somehow soft voice, "You are welcome at my home anytime."

Just then, a portle opens, and Danny smiles at the heroes, "Looks like Cloxkwork says it's time to go! Thank you again Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and Batman!"

The three heroes wave Danny goodbye, and the portal closes.

Danny finally looks down and reads the paper Batman gave him and shieks as he processes it, "ADOPTION PAPERS?!"

Meanwhile, Diana and J'onn are giving Batman looks that he easily ignores as they joke about his empty nest syndrome.

Batman still has plenty of kids at home, so he's not empty nested as they put it.

Now he just needs to compile everything on that - his - boy Danny, so he knows that he's welcome in the house. Clearly, the Ghost King isn't taking care of his charge - and that's clearly what Danny is by the small icy crown on his head that was similar but different than the King's - and Batman is more tan capable of taking in another child.

Batman has a good feeling about this child. Now he just needs to get Billy Batson on board. Really, with a last name like that, it was meant to be.

Dcxdp Trope twist

Danny hadn’t expected that defeating Pariah Dark would make him the ghost king, and give him a truckload of paperwork. If he had known, he would’ve let Vlad fight him. He despised paperwork with a passion. So, when the Justice League summoned him asking for help, he made it clear he would as long as three of their members would assist him with a task. Admittedly, he had been in his big scary king form so there may have been some slight confusion.

Batman surveyed the room full of paperwork, the teenager who looked like he was about to cry, and back to Martian Manhunter and Wonderwoman. Then, he sat down and started sorting through the paperwork.

I keep seeing Danny Phantom/DC crossovers, and Billy Batson Gets Adopted AUs, and they're almost always with them getting taken in by the Batfamily. And I get it. 'Bruce Wayne adopts any dark haired blue eyed child that stays still long enough' has been a thing in comics for decades.

But please, consider

"I want them to be taken in by someone who will help them embrace their powers and isn't a goody two shoes, that's why I think Constantine would be great."

"Okay, but I want them to be adopted by someone who will keep them safe and show them they're loved because they know what it's like having a rough childhood!"

"Someone with experience adopting stray orphan kids and is familiar with the wackiness or angst that comes with that?"

“Oh little storm,” the being cooed, hands that are both large enough to crush the world yet small enough to hold his face gently running through his hair. He was being held by lightning, by stars and space and everything in between, cradling his form like he was something oh-so precious. “A surprise to be sure,” the being crooned, purred, rumbled, cracked, some noise of the depths of space mixed with something indescribable. “A surprise, but a welcome one.” 

Billy had never felt so small, yet so loved, like the world itself was holding him against its heart as the whispers of the gods bled away in something akin to awe. The being smiled, distant storms letting loose and ending droughts, even more distant stars bursting into being. “A little marvel of existence,” they hummed, hissed, cooed, whistled, hair- or strands of galaxies- melding into the abyss around them. 

“A surprise son. A child of the Cosmos. Yes.” He was held so gently, space itself dancing and flickering around him, suns pressing hundreds of freckled kisses against his head. “Welcome home, little storm. Welcome home, my son.”

royal consort au brainrot

the royal consort au by @dcxdpdabbles makes me lose my mind so i have to share this so i can go to bed:

danny has his own wikipedia page though there is ongoing debate on whether they should use present tense (since he is alive) or past tense (seeing as he is engaged to the ghost king/high king of infinity realm)

some part of the social media romanticizes danny's situation as a hades and persephone or cinderella or both. you just know that some girls and boys out there are maddeningly jealous that danny manages to bag a king who is seemingly deeply in love with him.

unfortunately, he becomes a standard of beauty (twink, short, black-hair and blue eyes) because somehow rumors leak that phantom finds him the epitome of beauty. bruce is a bit worried since tim sort of fits the bill. in another city, billy batson/shazam is being teased by his adoptive siblings also for that precise reason

surprisingly, danny can be a charming speaker which people thinks it's part of why phantom fell in love with him.

bruce (and a portion of the world, including constantine) is concern since danny is still young (not sure how old he is in original prompt so i left it vague) and this whole thing; being the most popular public figure in the world and being haunted constantly by paparazzi, his joining with the ruler of the dead, the political between his home world and his future one, might damage his psyche sooner or later and bruce is trying to find a contingency plan for that.

and what's even is batman's contingency plans for this kind of situation, i don't know. im not that smart but clark, diane and constantine and the flash family will need to be there. to make sure bruce doesn't accidentally go too far.

also, this one comes like a hammer to my head but what if one day, danny feels an itchy sort of feeling in his throat but waves it off as a cold? he regrets it when barely a minute later he coughs out a palmful of blood. danny might be in outdoor place or in the justice league headquarter but the point is: everyone panics. especially once he loses consciousness.

this one can be branched off into two:

someone, either the leftover resentful giw or amanda waller, decides to poison him.

maddie innocently makes lunch for her son, after finding a new bag of spice for the meat. that spice contains blood blossom, which is deadlier for ghost (or half-ghost) if you eat it. of course, clockwork will ensure no one finds out danny is a halfa by making the machine detecting it as allergy, if a bit unsual one and danny will still live, if a bit disgruntle and so done with his half life already

Then Danny slowly turn his face toward the JL

JL *oh fvck, will he get mad? What if he get mad?*

Danny: So, you are my nephew��s colleague?

Diana: Yes, your highness

Danny: Great! Nice to meet you. There are some gifts, hope you like it

Then he brings out the most valuable, magical and priceless things on Earth and whole dimensions. And he gives it like there are just candy and toys

JL *too afraid to refuse and also don’t have a heart to say no to the Uncle who just want to spoil his nephew’s friend*

Hal *pick up a jewelry that worth a fountain of diamonds*: Woah! So that what you get for be friend with a Royalty

Flash *eating the most delicious energy sticks that keep his full for a whole WEEKS*: He even give me a mini portal which let me get any food I want, anytime anywhere

Constantine *staring at the orb that contain his soul*: Do you think Marvel will ok to adopt me?

Batman *looks at the infinite tickets that let him visit the Ghost Zone to see his parents (only to his parents’s lair but it still so valuable): Hmn

So the GIW situation has gotten out of hand (when has it not lol) and the gangs decides to split.

Danny Sam and Tucker (24) all go to Central city, Jazz (26) and Valerie (24) end up in Gotham.

And Dani (22) ends up in Fawcett. The magic in the air (literally) helps keep her stable and the Ghost of Fawcett Present absolutely adores her.

Billy Barton just turned 10 and for his birthday present he caught by social services and sent to a foster home.

Usually he would just run away, but his foster mom, Dani, seems… off.

So he stays, thinking he could just sneak away to become Captain Marvel.

Dani seems to have eyes on the back of head, calling his name whenever he thinks he can sneak away to transform.

Eventually, she figures it out and offers to train him. Billy is many things, but trained is not one of them.

Captain Marvel efficiency is glaringly obvious to anyone, who leads to a lots of speculation about who is training him.

Whenever the League asks, he just said his mom taught him.

One day, when Billy is 13 or so, the Justice needs help from the High Royalty of the Ghost Zone.

So why summon Dani, as princess.

Dani looks a bit older as Princess, but still powerful.

But as soon as she appears into the rook Captain Marvel immediately grins and says ‘hi mom!!’

Pandemonium. Complete and utterly pandemonium.

Bonus point if Captain Marvel and Billy slowly become more and. More liminal because they are around Dani a lot. So Billy with Fangs and green eyes. Batman almost went insane trying to find out how

Bonus bonus other path this could take is Billy’s identity gets found out and the JL tells him to call his mom so they could speak with her

Dani arrives (it would be hilarious if she arrived as the ghost princess)

Ghost are dragons.

Except.

Danny gets dropped into the DC universe, how I don't know nor care really to figure out, in dragon form and the first person he runs into happens to be one Billy Batson.

Who adopts him.

Kinda tried to hide his Shazam thing at first, something about a secret identity but it didn't work out too well so Danny just knows he's Shazam but doesn't care.

Danny has never come out of dragon form before.

Danny is a tiny dragon.

Billy has a sense of humor.

So does Danny.

Shenanigans.

John Constantine had a habit of picking up strays.

From half demons (like Raven) to demigods (like Billy Batson) to other extremely powerful magical children.

It was rumored among Justice League Dark that Batman's adopting problem had rubbed off on John.

So, it came a surprise to absolutely nobody, when John brought two tiny half ghosts to the next Justice league dark meeting and introduced them as his wards. The two could be seen flying around cities with Shazam and practicing magic with Raven. And John was also talking with Boston about Ghost culture.

But then Batman showed up on the house of mysteries doorstep and wanting to talk about Danny being his biological child.

Well, one thing was for sure..

Batman was not making the kid leave if he didn't want to, and if John had to fight the richest man on earth in a custody battle, then so be it.

He might have to cash in a few favors though.
