You know what I love about Deadpool and Wolverine?

We get to see Wolverine's versions through the comics. We get to see things that ARE part of his life story in the comics (PATCH, the brown and yellow uniform) and real variants, the what if universes (Age of Apocalypse Logan, Weapon Omega - the one with only one hand). And when I come in contact with new fans, the MCU fans, they don't know what those Logans are. For the new fans, they are all variants. So it TICKLES ME TO NO END, as a long-time reader, seeing people calling Patch a Variant, honest to god. I love it. I LOVE IT. I can't begin to tell you how much I love it. I love that you all got to see him, in some way, through few seconds. A version of a character from a comic book I used to read almost 30 years ago. (Also, dude, that crucified Wolverine... It made me WEEP, it's a reference to a Marc Silvestri comic cover from 1989, and it's so beautiful. <3 <3 <3 I remember seeing those in the newsstands, and I remember how beautiful and scary I thought it was, and how curious I was. I didn't really had the money, and my mom sure wouldn't let that comic get anywhere close to me - I have a vagina, you know. I started reading Marvel the year after that and I bought a used copy of this particular comic later. Such a beautiful, haunting cover.)

I watched The Menu and loved it because it featured every single thing I hate about the food world and the arts in general. It’s brilliant because it's multilayered and multi-pronged in its satire and reducing it to just ONE aspect of its criticism (“rich people suck”) is too simplistic; even if you took away their richness, each character from the customers to Slowik and Elsa on the opposite side stands for a certain type of person who interacts with food and I hate every single one of them. :))))))

Also, it's hilarious because 2022 had The Bear and The Menu and people who work in the food industry/service industry or are have some connection to it talked about how they got stressed out by one and felt catharsis through the other. Both of them let them feel seen, but one was feeling seen in a bad way and the other one was in a good way even if you liked both fkasjflksajf.

genuinely I wish tht more of the rats smp content was put in2 more 'easy 2 watch' videos instead of long stream vods so ppl could enjoy the chaos tht was tht smp without the imposing watch length of the streams bc most of them r Hours long. martyn did, bc he's both a youtuber n a streamer, but the other ccs who r Also youtubers didn't 4 the most part n tbh some didnt even upload their vods. n it's all a real shame bc I think more ppl wouldve/could get in2 it if it wasn't so long esp since theres a lot of meandering in the series sonetimes w exploration of the house n such. It was such a fun goofy smp w some real stellar charas n bits (garbage rat n marty my beloveds) n the creators had fun n more fans should see/should've seen it ngl. it coulda been a bit bigger than it turned out being, methinks.

THE SHUFFLE. OK OK. the melodic line and the shuffle rhythm that first appears in "this jesus must die", right? it's always annas and caiaphas who have it. in "damned for all time/blood money" judas keeps his own frantic rhythm/melody while trying to convince himself of his innocence. it's tense. and then FINALLY in "judas' death", he takes on annas and caiaphas' melody on the line "i have been spattered with innocent blood". and because he's accepted the melody, he's accepted his guilt. it's all over. all of that conveyed with a couple of notes. UGHHHH. delicious.
