What did Park Ho San say? 😢
mentioned it partially in the tags of my post but i'll post it here with a full translation of the original (native speakers, pls come and tell me if i f*cked anything up, i worked this out with the dictionary, Papago, and gallons worth of tears while crawling through every article i could find):
'i don't believe it, i don't want to believe it, but it wasn't until i received the obituary notice that i did. to me, you were more like Dong Hoon [Lee Sun Kyun's character in My Mister] than Sun Kyun. Sun Kyun-ah, Dong Hoon-ah, my little brother, no matter what you did i really believed in you. how painful must it have been? how hard it must have been... i have to go to the hall [literally 식장에 or 'ceremonial hall' - can be used to refer to a wedding hall, but here it's used for where his memorial/funeral services are being held], but it's a little scary. i'm going to go anyway. even if i can't tell you anything later, i'll carry these words with me: i and all of us who know you really, really believe in you.
since you're lying down, now, take it easy and be at peace. stretch out your legs. forget all your heartache, let it fly away and sleep comfortably. rest well, my warm little brother. ♥️'

Daily Doodle Day 16
Tumblr media
<- Day 15 | All Days | Day 17 ->
Every day I get a little happier with the progression of my spreads and pages
The cat has a hat and scarf, and he’s even wearing mittens, he’s ready for fall 🍂🍁
Of course I couldn’t help but doodle my dog, whose name is Link(photo below the break)
Tumblr media
This picture reminds me of a set of playing cards I had growing up that were all dog themed, but the dogs heads were way bigger than their bodies.

productivity apps for self improvement
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pinterest
you know i had to include the ultimate form of social media. pinterest is one of the only truly peaceful social media apps out there and focuses on sharing photos to your themed boards. this app is everything if you’re into making vision boards, moodboards, beauty, productivity, and really anything else. there’s something there for everyone!
finch
this is a wonderful self-care app, in which you take care of a bird while taking care of yourself! this is my new favorite app. i use the free version and it is adorable. the app asks you some questions about your goals and how you feel about self care, and gives you some daily goals based on your answers, but you can delete and add goals of your own. the more you log in and track your goals, the more adventures your bird can go on and the more they grow. i recommend this app to absolutely everyone and i will never shut up about it.
gymshark training
this is a free training app including many different types and styles of workouts. you can search for workouts based on duration, equipment used, the targeted muscle, and so on. you can also add workouts and plans of your own and track your progress.
i am sober
this is my favorite app for if you have something you want to quit. this isn’t just for substances or alcohol, but can also be used for quitting sugar, skin picking, caffeine, fast food, and so many other things. you can track your progress, review your days, make pledges, and connect with others who are struggling with the same thing you are. you are also given motivational quotes and reminders when you log into the app. there is an option for a subscription, but i use the free version and have had no problems with it at all.
study bunny: focus timer
an adorable focus timer where you gain coins with every goal/time you accomplish something with your focus timer and you can spend your coins on cute little accessories for your bunny! the only real issue with this app is that the ads are kind of crazy, and it’s $15 a month to go ad-free.
flora - green focus
this app includes a pomodoro timer and plants a tree in a rural community based on how often you stay focused using the timer on the app. the app does not plant a tree unless you opt for their subscription, which is $2 per year and allows you to plant one tree for 120 hours of focused time. you can also plant a tree every 24 hours with the $10 plan.
focus to-do: focus timer&tasks
this app combines a pomodoro timer with a daily to-do list. the app is free to use, but includes additional features for those with a subscription, which is $3 for every three months or $9 for a lifetime membership.
balance: meditation & sleep
a great app that includes nightly reviews, meditations, and sleep sounds. this app has great reviews, but it’s worth noting that it’s not completely free. it includes a trial, after which is $12 per month, or $70 per year.
insight timer - meditate & sleep
just as it sounds, this is another great app for meditations, ambient sounds for sleep, and progress tracking. there are tons of free things included in the app, but if you want to unlock everything, the premium plan is $10 per month or $60 per year.
structured - daily planner
an app with great reviews intended to help organize your daily tasks into achievable goals and track your progress. the app has basic features for free, but also includes a premium subscription if you want to unlock all the features.
routineflow: guided routines
this app caters to those who have difficulties staying focused and maintaining a set routine by guiding your routine for you and managing your progress. the app gives you one routine for free, but if you want another, you would need to pay for the $30 annual subscription.
how we feel
a wonderful free journaling app developed by therapists and scientists for logging your emotions, talking to other users, and tracking your mood patterns.
gentler streak fitness tracker
if you’re tired of the constant work and grind mentality, this may be the app for you. this app takes a gentler approach to fitness by tracking exercise, giving encouragement, and notifying you if you are overworking yourself. the app itself is free, but certain features require a subscription, which is $8 per month or $50 per year.
glo | yoga and meditation app
glo is a highly rated app for yoga, pilates, and meditation. unlike most of the other apps listed, you can’t really access much on glo for free. to access the full courses, they offer two plans: $30 per month or $245 per year.
waterllama
another adorable app that lets you track your water intake with a cute llama! super motivating and is free for basic features. if you want to unlock all features, the subscription is $7 per year.
mindllama
made by the same people as waterllama, this app allows you to practice and track your meditation and breathwork practice with a cute llama! like waterllama, the app is free, but some features require a subscription, which varies depending on whether you want the premium plan, the anxiety relief plan, or the sleep focused plan.
daily bean - simplest journal
another super cute app that helps you track your days and moods. the app itself is free, but a premium plan is also offered, which is $20 per year.
schmoody: mood & habit tracker
this app aims to help you through depression, anxiety, and/or adhd by helping you track your habits, talk to other users, and give you the resources to get you back on track. the free version includes the “essentials” to support mental health and well-being, but they also offer a premium version, which unlocks more resources and personalized options. the subscription is $15 per month, $60 per year, or $100 for a lifetime membership.
meditation timer - zenitizer
this is a meditation timer that focuses on simplicity and organization while tracking your meditation practice. a free version is available with a limited amount of content, but a premium version is also offered, which is $3 per month, $20 per year, or a $50 one-time payment.
mineral - gratitude journal
this is a free journaling app that is secure in the fact that you have to use face id in order to access your journal. this app is definitely more simple, but effective nonetheless.
focus keeper: productive timer
this app is a popular pomodoro-style timer app. i’ve heard that this app works wonders for many people with adhd. the app is free, but includes additional content and features for those with a subscription.

fanservice
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝜗𝜚 theme: fluff, established relationship 𝜗𝜚 pairing: idol!mingu x fem!reader 𝜗𝜚 word count: 944
・ ❥ ・ jealousy is a disease when it comes to kim mingyu and his fanservice
Tumblr media
“i’m not your strongest soldier lol don’t play with me rn.”
you rolled your eyes at the caption, and scrolled past the video that had been haunting you for the past couple of days. ever since the boys’ fan meeting last monday your fyp had been going crazy with videos of your boyfriend holding hands and comparing hand sizes with his fans.
and that wasn’t even the worst part.
your man was the definition of fanservice, him holding hands with others and making puppy eyes at them wasn't anything new, hell - how many times had he asked you to take his “boyfriend” photos he later posted on instagram, while looking like a literal walking dream. he loved making people go crazy on a daily basis, so it wasn’t like the hand holding bothered you.
what bothered you was the lovestruck expression, the annoyingly gentle, sparkly eyes, the perfect fucking black hair falling over his forhead, the soft smile, the gaze that never left the person in font of him.
you weren’t sure where the sudden surge of possessiveness came from, but oh my god, there was a limit of what you could take, and if only you remembered your twitter password you would’ve logged out a long time ago. you knew exactly who this look was reserved for, and it was you, and you only, so why was he suddenly going around looking at others like they hung the moon and the stars in the sky.
“baby?” mingyu’s voice echoed from your bedroom. “have you seen my black dior hoodie?”
you were too busy scrolling past yet another tik tok to answer your boyfriend. besides, who cared about a hoodie when he was basically cheating on you?
“and what are you gawking at, huh?” you muttered under your nose, as the girl in the video squealed when mingyu took her hand in his. you weren’t sure why you were working yourself up so much. it’s not like you were jealous of the way his thumb was running over her palm. or how their fingers intertwined perfectly.
thinking you didn’t hear him from the other room, mingyu gave up on his mission to find the hoodie he was sure he saw in the closet just this morning, and walked out to the living room to look for you. “baby, did you h-,” he didn't have to look at you twice to see who exactly stole the piece of clothing he was searching for. “there it is,” he beamed, a smile blooming on his face. his heart never failed to turn into mush whenever he saw you dressed in his clothes, especially the oversized ones that made you look like an adorable teddy bear.
“i can give it back if you want,” you mumbled, your eyes still glued to your phone.
“it’s fine, i’ll just find another one, but tell me,” mingyu crooked an eyebrow at your frown, and walked over to where you were not so happily occupying the armchair he and wonwoo decided on buying last month, “what the hell got you pouting like that?”
you didn’t notice your boyfriend standing behind you until it was too late. “huh?” too slow to turn off the phone, you spun around to find mingyu behind you with an annoying smirk on his face. “i wasn’t pouting,” you tried to argue, as you slipped the phone under your thigh. he laughed, and tucked a loose piece of your hair behind your ear.
“baby?” he crouched down, and placed his chin on your shoulder.
“mhm?” maybe playing stupid would help.
“why were you watching videos from the fanmeeting, hm?” he asked innocently, like he didn’t know exactly why.
you groaned, and turned around, hiding your face in the crook of his neck. there was no way you’d admit to being jealous of some girls for holding your boyfriend’s hand when you literally did that 24/7.
“you know you literally get to cuddle and kiss me, right? it’s not like they’re going to steal me from you,” he said. you didn’t have to look to know that he had this infuriatingly handsome smile on his face that always made your knees weak.
“stop being so smug about it, kim mingyu,” you mumbled, and hit his chest.
“never.”
he grabbed the back of your neck gently and peeled you of him, much to your reluctance. a pang of self-consciousness suddenly hit you because what if he thought you were acting immaturely over this? “listen,” he walked around the armchair to kneel in front of you. “whatever you’re thinking, stop it,” grabbing your face tenderly, he ran a thumb over your cheek. “i’m yours, remember?”
“i know, it’s just-,”
“let me finish, yeah?” you nodded and kissed his palm, encouraging him to keep going. maybe that was just what you needed today? a bit of reassurance and his words of affirmation. because if there was one thing that kim mingyu was good at, it was making you feel secure and loved.
“i know it can be hard looking at those videos and whatnot, and you know why i act how i act when it’s needed. but i love you. you. and no matter how many hands i have to hold or how many people i have to pretend to flirt with, it doesn’t change the fact that at the end of the day all i want is to come home to you. ‘k baby?”
too overwhelmed to say anything, you just nodded quickly, and threw your arms around his shoulders, so he wouldn’t see your teary eyes.
“you’re really mine?” you asked, sniffling quietly.
“all yours. only yours.”

I have an idea. A self-aware au. What if Jing yuan/Blade is aware of darling's affection for him since they would log in the game and just see him and just admire them that is until Genshin drops 4.1 trailer and saw Arlecchino and Neuvillette and now they're envious of these two taking away their darling's attention.
It's just an interesting idea tho. But in actuality I'd think neuvillette and him would be friends or somewhat
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello, this anon has similar thoughts!! Put them together to answer >_< I think they will be really jealous of the genshin impact characters who are stealing your attention lol. Jing Yuan's jealousy is more harmless (seemingly), while Blade's is more aggressive (?)
This is my first time writing a self-aware AU, hope you like it!!
CW: yandere, self-aware au
Jing Yuan and Blade have their own lives.
When you're not with them, when you're not in front of the screen or looking at them with a smile or wonder. They are handling the work/tasks of the Seat of Divine Foresight/Stellaron Hunters. Blade, Silver Wolf and Kafka were practicing the new "destiny" script and took away another Stellaron. Jing Yuan is managing Luofu and attending meetings. How strange. Once you click on the space screen to enter the game, they can see your face. You organize your team and do daily tasks with them.
At first, they thought it was some kind of prank or a conspiracy, but over time they got used to it. In Elio's words, "The world is like a video game. No one can prove whether the world is real or false. Feeling the current destiny is the most important thing."
For Jing Yuan, he just got familiar with your personality. He confirmed that your presence would not put Luofu in danger, and that you acted like a cute kitten playing with a ball of yarn. You can control Luofu's General and Stellaron Hunter, and all you do is wander around Xianzhou and buy snacks to feed them, break every poor object on the way, fight to get some rewards, take the books on the table, etc.
You didn't forget to "build" them either. They watch you search for "Jing Yuan", "Blade", "build", "guide" and other keywords on the Internet, and take them to fight again and again to get materials to upgrade. Although they have actually participated in some wars and have terrible strength, what you see here is "lv 1-80".
You really like them, otherwise you wouldn’t pull, right? You even take photos of them while wandering around the map. Jing Yuan snickered when you took Blade to take a selfie in front of his wanted poster. The general is not shy about giving you a smile either. They know your admiration because you always take more than one photo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Until… recently, they noticed that you weren't online as often. At one point, you log in again, and then, as if you thought of something important, you search "genshin impact" on Youtube (they know the name of the site) and start watching trailers and special programs.
What's this?
You stared intently at those…those people. White curly bangs, long hair like a waterfall, and his gorgeous and decent attire. The other man has short black hair. He punches enemies in live. A woman with short gray and white hair smiles confidently.
Jing Yuan opened his eyes wide, not expecting you to be so "frivolous" - did you plan to be unfaithful to him? You found Jing Yuan pouting at you in the game, but you thought you were hallucinating, so you gave him immortal's delight and puffergoat milk to comfort him. Blade clicked his tongue, crossed his arms in boredom, and stopped observing what you were doing on the other side of the screen. Silver Wolf and Kafka teased him about whether he was separated from the little player? Jealous? You're surprised to notice that his damage has been doubled. While on a mission, Blade almost lost control and killed a person on the script. His eyes as red as candlelight flashed, and he almost swung down the sword in his hand.
They are all looking for opportunities to get close to you. That part of Xianzhou's large computer installation called "loom" is running, investigating and analyzing you.

Shattered Heart, Solid Friends - Emily Prentiss x Reader
sypnosis: After discovering her boyfriend’s infidelity, a woman leans on her friend Emily for support. As they share a night out, the bond between them strengthens, helping her find solace in friendship amidst heartbreak.
Tumblr media
You’ve been dating your boyfriend for seven months, and everything felt like a dream come true. He was older—just your type—and had a way with words that left you weak in the knees. Unlike guys your age, he had it all: a job, a car, and a sense of direction that matched your high standards.
But lately, that dream was starting to crack.
He’d been coming home late, always glued to his phone, offering vague excuses about work stress. At first, you didn’t want to overthink it. Everyone has bad weeks, right? But as a profiler, you couldn’t ignore the patterns. He wasn’t just stressed. He was hiding something.
You told yourself you wouldn’t be that girlfriend—the one who snoops through messages or accuses without proof. But doubt had a way of gnawing at you, growing louder with every late-night text he hurried to hide.
Desperate for answers, you found yourself outside Penelope Garcia’s office.
Her world was a stark contrast to the horrors the BAU faced daily. Bright colors, fuzzy pens, and an army of stuffed animals filled her space with warmth. It was your refuge after long, dark days, and today, you hoped she’d lend her light to your dilemma.
“Hey, Garcia,” you said, stepping inside.
“Y/N! How’s it going, love?” she greeted, spinning her chair around with a bright smile.
“Alright…” you hesitated, the words catching in your throat. “Actually, I need a favor.”
Her eyes sparkled with curiosity. “Anything for you, sugar plum! Spill the tea.”
You took a breath. “I think my boyfriend’s cheating on me.”
She gasped, her hand flying to her chest.
“Are you serious?”
You nodded, guilt and frustration twisting in your gut.
“Yes… but I don’t know for sure. That’s the problem. Listen, you’re amazing at what you do, and I hate to ask for something so personal. But I have to know.”
Penelope’s wide-eyed concern softened into determination.
“Of course, sweet pea. Where do we start?”
“His text messages… and maybe his social media. He’s on Instagram and Pinterest.”
She spun her chair to her keyboard, her fingers flying over the keys like a concert pianist. You watched in awe as screens filled with lines of code and login prompts. Less than ten seconds later, Penelope leaned back with a triumphant smile, her colorful nails tapping on the edge of the desk.
“Well, he did delete a few things. Let’s take a look, shall we?”
You pulled a chair closer to the screen, your breath hitching as your eyes scanned the messages. Your heart plummeted. Suggestive texts. Logs filled with inappropriate photos without showing their faces. You gripped the edge of the desk, your stomach twisting in knots.
With trembling fingers, you reached for the mouse and scrolled further, every line of text confirming what you already suspected. He’d been acting off for weeks, and now the truth was staring you in the face.
The messages revealed where he met her—his new co-worker. The flirtation had started innocently enough but quickly escalated into something more. Your chest tightened as you read their exchanges, each word a dagger to your heart.
“She doesn’t have to know.”
“Let’s keep it a secret.”
You bit your lip hard, fighting back tears as the finality of it hit you. He wasn’t just unfaithful—he was intentional, calculated, willing to betray you without hesitation.
This wasn’t the man you thought you knew. The proof was right there, glaring at you, and with it came the cruel realization: he didn’t value you the way you valued him.
“Oh, honey, I’m so sorry,” Garcia whispered, her voice thick with emotion as tears welled in her eyes. She reached out as if to comfort you, her empathy shining through. Garcia was always like that—a flower blooming in a field of inhumanity. It was one of the things you loved most about her.
You swallowed hard, blinking back your own tears as you scrolled further. Then you saw her.
The woman in the pictures made your chest ache with a sharp, almost physical pain. She was stunning—blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, a perfect smile. The kind of beauty that turned heads effortlessly.
Typical.
Your gaze flickered to the reflection of your own hazel eyes in the darkened screen, framed by your brunette hair. A cruel voice in the back of your mind whispered that you couldn’t compare. You knew better than to go down that road, but the questions clawed at you anyway. What does she have that I don’t? Why wasn’t I enough?
The answer hit you with the force of a wrecking ball.
The next message spelled it out in painful detail: how much he admired her personality, her talent, her looks. Every word chipped away at your sense of self.
You couldn’t stop the spiral now. Was it really her, or was it you?
You stared at the screen, the betrayal sinking in like a knife twisting in your chest. The man of your dreams—the one who once made you feel invincible—had willingly destroyed everything you thought you had.
It was like something inside you died.
Your chest tightened as your mind spiraled, conjuring images of what they might be doing now. A motel? His car? The thought made your stomach churn. You reached for one of Garcia’s colorful trinkets, fiddling with it as if the motion could ground you, but the dread only grew heavier.
“Are you okay?” Garcia’s voice was soft, her hand gentle as it rested on your arm.
You sniffled, nodding even though it was a lie.
“I’ll be back,” you managed, your voice cracking as you pushed back your chair.
Without waiting for a response, you hurried to the ladies’ bathroom, the tears finally spilling over as you shut the stall door behind you.
You took a shaky breath, though it came out in uneven shudders.
Tears spilled relentlessly down your cheeks as the scene replayed in your mind, over and over, like a cruel loop you couldn’t escape. The messages. The pictures. Her face.
Your boyfriend—no, the man you thought you knew—was seeing someone else.
He must’ve gotten bored of you. That was the only explanation, wasn’t it? She was everything you weren’t: blonde, dazzling, confident. The kind of woman who lit up a room just by walking into it.
You clung to the memories of everything you’d done to prove your love. The thoughtful gestures, the unwavering support, the loyalty you gave without hesitation. You had given him your whole heart, your whole world, and yet…
It still wasn’t enough.
You heard the creak of the bathroom door opening, followed by a familiar voice.
“Hey… are you okay?”
It was Emily. Her tone was soft, cautious, like she already knew the answer.
You didn’t bother hiding your tears or pretending to be fine.
“No,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
There was a pause, then a gentle offer.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
You hesitated, taking a few deep, shaky breaths to steady yourself. Then, with trembling hands, you unlocked the stall door and stepped aside, letting her in.
“Oh… what happened?” Emily’s voice was soft, full of concern, as she gently stepped closer.
Your voice cracked as you tried to explain, the words tumbling out between shuddering breaths. You told her everything—the messages, the photos, and the crushing realization that the man you loved wasn’t who you thought he was.
Tears streamed down your face as you wiped at them with trembling hands, your throat tightening with every word. Emily didn’t say anything, just pulled you closer, offering silent comfort.
You let your head rest against her shoulder, your hand awkwardly supporting it as you leaned into her. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to keep you from falling apart entirely.
“I’m sorry,” you began, your voice trembling. “I shouldn’t have used the work computer for something so personal. I just feel so—”
Emily gently pulled back, her hands on your shoulders as she looked you directly in the eyes.
“Hey, hey, no. Don’t feel sorry. If anyone should be sorry, it’s him. Your boyfriend—who, by the way, I’m really hoping will soon be your ex.”
You managed a weak nod, your voice cracking. “But… I love him.”
Emily’s expression softened, her voice low and steady.
“I know. Of course you do. You invested so much of your time and feelings into him. It’s only natural to feel that way.”
You nodded again, the tears continuing to flow freely down your face. Without hesitation, Emily pulled you into another hug, her arms wrapping around you firmly but gently.
In her embrace, you felt an unexpected sense of safety—a warmth that reminded you of being a child, nestled against your mother’s shoulder, the one place in the world where nothing could hurt you.
For a moment, the pain didn’t feel so overwhelming.
Emily offered a small smile as she pulled back from the hug.
“How about we go to lunch?” she suggested gently. “Just to talk. Get your mind off things.”
You hesitated for a moment, but the kindness in her eyes was enough to convince you.
“Okay,” you whispered, nodding.
Lunch with Emily helped, if only for a little while. Talking through your feelings with her gave you a moment to breathe, but the weight of everything still lingered.
Later, when you returned home, you knew what you had to do.
Confronting him was harder than you imagined. The moment you mentioned the messages, his face hardened, defenses up immediately. What began as a tense discussion quickly escalated into a full-blown argument. Words were hurled back and forth—accusations, denials, and anger filling the air like a storm you couldn’t escape.
Finally, your voice cracked as you shouted the last thing you had to say, your heart breaking with every word. Then, without another look, you grabbed your things and stormed out of the house, the door slamming shut behind you.
The night air was cool against your tear-streaked face as you walked away, unsure of where you were going—only knowing you couldn’t stay.
You let the wind guide you as you kept walking, unsure of where to go. A bar? A hotel? A friend’s house? Each option felt distant, unappealing. Family wasn’t an option either—your parents were in Nashville, and the rest of your family lived all the way in Italy.
Your feet ached as you spotted a bus stop a few feet ahead. Just as you were about to settle there for a moment’s rest, the sound of a car slowing down beside you made your heart race.
Adrenaline surged through you as you thought of worst-case scenarios. A lone woman walking in the dark, carrying personal belongings—it was a recipe for disaster. As an FBI agent, you’d seen enough cases to know how these stories often ended. Your mind raced, mentally praying that your name wouldn’t end up on the bulletin board while your friends worked to solve your case.
“Y/N?”
The voice startled you, but it was familiar.
You turned toward the car as the window rolled down, and relief washed over you like a wave.
“Emily?”
She nodded, her eyes scanning your face with concern.
“Get in,” she urged softly. “You shouldn’t be out here alone.”
You opened the back door of Emily’s car, carefully placing your bags inside before sliding into the passenger seat. The faint smell of her vanilla air freshener was oddly comforting, a small reminder of familiarity in the chaos of the night.
Emily glanced at you, her brow furrowing as she took in your tear-streaked face.
“You okay?” she asked gently, though the answer was already written all over you.
You let out a shaky breath, your voice heavy with exhaustion.
“I dumped him,” you admitted, your words raw. “As expected, he denied everything. Then we argued. It got… ugly.”
Emily nodded slowly, her hands resting on the steering wheel as she gave you space to continue if you wanted.
“Good,” she said softly after a moment. “Not that it got ugly—but that you stood up for yourself.”
You nodded, wiping at your eyes as you tried to steady your breathing.
“Where would you like to go?” Emily asked softly, her tone calm and patient.
“Honestly? Anywhere is fine,” you replied, your voice still shaky.
She glanced at you, then asked, “Are you hungry?”
You nodded again, not trusting yourself to speak.
Emily didn’t press further. She simply started the car, letting the quiet hum of the engine fill the space between you. The silence wasn’t awkward; it was comfortable, a moment to gather yourself.
After a short drive, she pulled into the parking lot of a cozy restaurant, the warm glow of the sign reading Nonna’s Trattoria. The sight stirred something inside you—a bittersweet pang of familiarity.
You looked at her, touched by the gesture. “Nonna’s?”
Her lips curved into a small smile. “Thought it’d be nice. You could use a little taste of home.”
“Thank you. Really,” you said, your voice soft but sincere. “You’ve been so thoughtful to me.”
Emily smiled warmly, her eyes filled with reassurance.
“Always.” She gestured toward the restaurant. “Shall we?”
You nodded, a faint smile tugging at your lips as you both stepped out of the car and into the inviting glow of the restaurant.
The host greeted you with a cheerful smile. “Welcome to Nonna’s! Table for two?”
“Yes, please,” you replied, your voice steadying for the first time in hours.
As you followed the host to your table, the comforting aroma of garlic, basil, and freshly baked bread began to ease the weight in your chest, if only just a little.
As you sat down, you couldn’t help but notice some familiar faces among the staff, including one of the elderly waitresses who always greeted you warmly when you visited. Her presence brought a small wave of comfort, a reminder of simpler, happier times.
When she came to take your order, you smiled and spoke in Italian, letting the words roll off your tongue naturally.
“Un’acqua per lei e un aperitivo per me. Grazie.”
The waitress’s face lit up, her warm smile deepening the lines around her eyes. “Che bello sentirlo,” she replied, jotting down your order.
Emily watched with a soft smile, her admiration clear. “I’ll never get over how effortlessly you do that.”
You chuckled lightly, the sound surprising even yourself. “It’s second nature, I guess.”
“I actually speak Italian, too,” Emily said with a small grin. “Though it’s pretty limited. Parlo anche francese, spagnolo, arabo, e russo. But my Russian? Let’s just say it needs some work.”
You raised your eyebrows in surprise. “Che poliglotta! And your Italian sounds great. Parli bene italiano.”
“Grazie.” Emily smiled, leaning back slightly. “So, tell me more about yourself.”
You hesitated for a moment, then began. “Well, I grew up in Nashville, so I have a soft spot for country music... but I also love heavy metal.”
Emily’s eyes lit up. “So do I!”
“Really?” you asked, sitting up straighter, excitement bubbling in your chest.
“Yes!” she laughed. “I’m sorry—go ahead.”
You smiled, thrilled to discover another shared interest. “So, even though I’m from Nashville, my parents are from Italy. They immigrated here a few years before I was born. When I was little, I went to live with the rest of my family in Italy for a few years to really experience the culture.”
“That’s amazing,” Emily said, clearly intrigued.
“I loved it there,” you continued, your voice softening with nostalgia. “Last time I visited was last summer, to see la mia famiglia. I miss them already.”
“I’m sure you do,” Emily said, her tone understanding. “I miss my family too. The BAU can be so demanding. Abito da sola e amo la mia indipendenza, but… I’ve been thinking about getting a cat. I want company.”
Your eyes lit up, a genuine smile breaking through the weight of the day. “Oh my gosh, I love cats too! They’re the cutest things ever.”
Emily chuckled. “Looks like we keep finding things in common.”
When the waitress returned, you ordered your meal in Italian, your accent flawless. “Penne alla vodka vegana, per favore.”
Emily followed with her own order, glancing at you with a playful smile as she spoke. “Polenta, grazie.”
The waitress nodded with approval. “You two speak beautifully,” she said, before heading off with your orders.
Emily leaned back, a twinkle in her eye. “Okay, so cats, music, and languages. What else do we have in common?”
“I do recall you complaining about dairy,” Emily said, raising an eyebrow. “Are you lactose intolerant?”
You nodded with a small smile. “Yep. It’s not a big deal, though—I can handle most things as long as they don’t involve cow’s milk.”
Emily leaned forward, resting her chin on her hand. “What is it about cow’s milk, anyway? Why not cashew milk or almond milk? They’re so much better.”
You chuckled, shrugging. “Beats me. People are obsessed with it, though. Maybe it’s a comfort thing?”
Emily smirked. “Or maybe they just haven’t discovered the joys of oat milk yet.”
You laughed, grateful for the lighthearted moment amidst the emotional weight of the day.
After finishing your meal, a heavy silence settled between you. You looked down at your plate for a moment, then lifted your gaze to Emily, your expression softening.
“Emily, I really appreciate you taking me out tonight. I had a great time. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you.”
Emily smiled, but her eyes held a sincerity that matched yours. “Anytime, really. You know that. Would you like to crash at my place tonight?”
Your eyes widened in surprise, and you hesitated. “No, I wouldn’t want to impose…”
Emily waved off your concern with a soft laugh. “Hey, it’s no trouble at all. It’s better than walking around all night or paying for a hotel. You need somewhere safe to rest, and you’re always welcome with me.”
You smiled, your heart feeling a little lighter despite the weight of the day.
“Thank you, really,” you said, your voice soft but sincere.
Despite the worst heartbreak of your life, a quiet sense of gratitude filled you. In the midst of all the chaos, you were thankful to have a friend like Emily—someone who didn’t hesitate to be there when you needed it most.

The only difference between the original story and a modern AU is that the internet would’ve been popular during their childhood. Ford, without a doubt, is the type to log onto his computer at exactly midnight every Saturday to stalk Stan online. A few years ago, he deleted all their contact information in a fit of rage, blocked all of Stan’s social media accounts, and now he has to rely on tireless “research” (read: obsessive searching) to find any traces of Stan’s life.
Stan, on the other hand, doesn’t seem like the type to care much about the internet. His Instagram account is probably still under his real name. He casually posts pictures of his daily life and promotional ads for his work, blissfully unaware that somewhere out there, in a dark room, someone is brooding over a glowing screen, zooming in on his candid shots to scrutinize the background of his room.
Ford also checks who keeps commenting on Stan’s posts, then clicks into their profiles to figure out who they are. He convinces himself that it’s all just out of spite and jealousy—that he’s only doing it to make sure he’s still doing better than Stan in life.
One year, in November, Stan casually mentions that he’s preparing some special gifts for someone. “Not sure what he’ll like—I’ve been searching around and just hope he doesn’t reject it,” says the caption. It’s so obvious it’s for him, right? After reading it, Ford immediately starts rehearsing lines in his head about how he’ll reject Stan’s apology. But December rolls around, and then January, and… nothing happens. He eventually calls home and learns that Stan had quietly gone back in early December, bringing small souvenirs for everyone—except for him.
That night, staring at family photos posted on his mom’s Facebook, Ford finally loses it.
Then, one early morning, Stan posts a new photo. In it, he’s grinning brightly, holding a glass of booze, his face flushed from drinking too much. With one hand, he lifts up his shirt. The caption is clearly meant for some girl he’s trying to flirt with.
At 4:12 a.m., Ford accidentally becomes the first—and only—person to like the photo. Two minutes later, his message inbox lights up with three new messages.

🎢 It was just, you know, up and down all the time 🎢
This fandom is like an emotional roller coaster ride.
It is well known that sunshine follows rain: Although in this fandom every ray of sunshine is usually followed by a thunderstorm. A very simple example of this was Caitríona's appearance at the parish church in Ireland, following Sam's well-publicised attendance at his father-in-law's funeral. Despite repeatedly declaring herself a non-believer, she even took Holy Communion (with, of course, her PA sitting next to her, impassive and stiff as a log). And a few months later we had this publication in the Irish Daily Star, with poor Little Soul (face uncovered but obviously Photoshopped) being carried barefoot into a cold church. And a picture of PA in his usual sombre mood. Manipulation tactic: Don't look up.
With that in mind, it is hardly surprising that after the Taylor Swift concert videos were released, I froze in fear of what kind of bullshit we were going to be fed.
[To be honest, I had a life to live over the weekend, after all, I'm not the one sitting in front of the computer updating Caitríona and Sam's status all the time. But 'I froze in fear' sounds nice.] *** *** ***
You know, I imagined with horror that instead of publishing a post about testicular cancer on Father's Day, as she did last year, Caitríona would publish a photo of her 'loving husband' tenderly cuddling her pregnant belly.
You know what I mean.
😉
Tumblr media
Something like that, but someone else instead of Sam. Except, of course, there are no pictures like that, haha. *** *** ***
Or that she would post a photo of her 'amazing partner' tenderly holding their newborn baby. Something with a vibe like these photos ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Season after season, for many years now ------
Tumblr media
Fiction mixes with reality. Reality is fiction.
And the real father of the children and Caitríona's partner really does know how to take care of a child bigger than an infant too. He knows well how to hold a toddler, which he proves at every turn.

On a film set, in real life. Always.

You get the impression that the children actually adore him.
Tumblr media
And he can relate to them, he can talk to them.

Well, we are all living in a reality that has been artificially created.
People who supposedly have no children in 2020 are called 'parents'.
Tumblr media

A man who supposedly has no children in 2024 is called a 'Dad'.

I freeze in fear, afraid of the rollercoaster ride that awaits us in the near future. My greatest wish is that the truth is in store for us.

I decided to make a series of posts dedicated to mental dieting, even if you're not really into manifestation/law of assumption and you're just into your journey to become your best self.
We spend so much of our time on our phones, tablets or computers that it has become our way of life. Most of the daily content we consume and most of the people we interact with every day come from the internet. We basically consume content like we consume food every day.
We talk about digital detoxing and digital decluttering constantly, but sometimes we have to become extreme to live our best life. We have to be mindful about the content we consume since like I mentioned earlier, we consume it like food and if we can be mindful about the food we consume to nourish our body then we can do the same to nourish our minds and hearts. So basically a digital exorcism is what we need to hold ourselves accountable, including myself.
In fact, I am guilty of this and as soon as I'm done with my own post I'll start doing my own digital exorcism as well to be mindful of my own mental diet since I've been neglecting it for the longest time.
∘•···············•∘ʚ ♡ ɞ∘•················•∘
Here is a list of things to do to start your own digital exorcism with things I've come up with and some ideas I've compiled over the months from reading around:
୨୧ Curate your social media experience.
I know that many people cannot quit social media entirely because nowadays some jobs depend on social media presence, plus social media can be a very nice and positive experience!
The internet should be a safespace for you so curating and being mindful of your content should be a high priority.
Delete people/users and social media that either you don't talk anymore or don't bring positive things into your feed or life.
Engage in content that makes you happy or brings positivity into your life, especially topics that you want to learn or improve so your feed gets filled with those things.
Delete any accounts you have that you don't use or represent a part of your life that reminds you of pain (we all had an emo private account to vent somewhere that either needs to be wiped for a new era or just deleted).
Scroll past things that trigger you without guilt since your mental health has to be the most important thing.
Just put your phone down, think about what you need in your life right now to become your best self or make things better for you mentally and practice mindfulness by curating your experience.
∘•···············•∘ʚ ♡ ɞ∘•················•∘
୨୧ Declutter & Simplify
This sounds very easy but it also can be very exhausting so I advise you to do it on a day off but include some things like skincare or a nice podcast to do it. You have to prepare yourself for this mentally since going down memory lane while doing this can be emotionally draining.
We already mentioned deleting accounts but deleting phone numbers that we no longer engage with is a form of self care, same goes for deleting messages or chat logs.
Leaving Discord servers that are inactive or you no longer engage with. Why keep something like that if you're no longer using them? Out of nostalgia? Honey, don't do this to yourself.
Delete apps or music (especially sad and depressing music!) that no longer serve you. They are taking up a lot of useful space after all.
And in relation to making space, declutter your photo gallery. This can be a rough one since we tend to hoard pictures and hoarding comes from a place of fear. Sit down, be ready to confront yourself, think carefully about how you want to categorize your photos and Konmari everything. Focus mostly on screenshots, pictures that you feel you don't look good in, repeat pictures and pictures that bring you bad memories.
Clean your emails to make space. Unsubscribe to newsletters that you don't need and remove any alerts. Just clean it.
From there, things should look cleaner and simple. I know that some of us are addicted to the chaos but trust me that even if you may feel some regret at first, you'll thank yourself later. Sometimes, your phone is a reflection of the state of your mind after all.
∘•···············•∘ʚ ♡ ɞ∘•················•∘
୨୧ Romanticize your Life!
This is the fun part of the digital exorcism, which is making things easier and prettier!
Redecorate your home page. Put everything in folders and from there you can go crazy! Pretty wallpapers, themes, colors... Anything that your heart desires. You can also apply this to other things, revamp your social media and Pinterest boards for a cleaner and better look.
Go on an account scout mission and follow accounts that align with your thoughts and values of your best self.
Install new apps that bring you joy but also feel purposeful to you. And don't feel guilty about installing things like cute games that can make you pause and relax, just don't abuse screen use!
∘•···············•∘ʚ ♡ ɞ∘•················•∘
୨୧ Other Important Things
Don't forget to update apps and back up what's important. I know that cloud backups are important but don't forget to backup things that may be important in an external hard drive.
Set up a ¨Sleep Mode¨ for your phone so you don't feel tempted by notifications at night and have proper sleep. You can also turn off notifications on some platforms to minimize your anxiety.
Set up ¨Digital Detox Hours¨ every day for you. Reconnect with your hobbies, play with your pet, take a nap, journal, do some prep... Just stay away from your phone. And if you don't have any privacy, it's okay. You can take notes and journal in your phone as well, just stay away from social media. Put on music and relax. This should be time for yourself and your feelings after all.
Don't feel bad about doing regular digital decluttering once you're done with the digital exorcism. This is mostly to start again in a clean slate, if the apps you installed for your clean slate are not to your liking, then you can make a small digital declutter and get rid of them later. It's not a bad thing to try new things because it's part of your self-discovery journey.
∘•···············•∘ʚ ♡ ɞ∘•················•∘
I hope this post was useful and don’t hesitate if you want to share any other advice you may have to improve your digital exorcism!
I might make another post recommending apps I use for manifestation soon in another post.
