His Little Secret 🤍
When Seungcheol’s younger sister is drawn into a dangerous attraction with his charismatic bandmate, Mingyu, the lines between loyalty and desire blur.
Bit of a long one guys. Been working on it for a few days. Hope you enjoy. ˙ᵕ˙
Tumblr media
In the warm, dim light of the late summer evening, the air surrounding you feels electric. The sun dips low on the horizon, casting a golden glow over everything it touches, while the distant hum of laughter drifts through the open window. The music swells from the party happening just a few floors beneath you, a celebration of youth and dreams, but inside this room, wrapped in a bubble of your own creation, time seems to stand still.
He’s leaning closer, that intoxicating scent of sandalwood and something uniquely him filling your senses, and despite everything, you feel your heart quicken. Mingyu, the charismatic lead vocalist from Seventeen, stands just inches away; seeing him so close up sends a shiver down your spine. Your brother, Seungcheol, your steadfast guardian, has always had his circle of friends, and despite the chaos of the K-Pop world surrounding you, your heart can’t ignore the glaring truth you’re utterly drawn to him.
“Don’t tell anyone,” he whispers, his warm breath dancing over your lips in a way that leaves you spellbound. His gaze is dark and earnest, full of promise and hidden secrets, and your breath catches in your throat.
You’ve always absorbed their fame from a distance, living in a shadow where the spotlight rarely touches. As Seungcheol’s little sister, you were accustomed to being the ‘other’, the girl who took pictures of her brother with his famous friends. But here, in this moment, you feel seen. You wonder if he can feel the pull between you the earth-shattering collision of desire and danger that sets the world afire.
Mingyu laughs softly, a sound that caresses your skin, catching your moment of hesitation. It’s not just his talent that everyone admires. It’s his personality, effortless charm, and the flicker of mischief that dances in his eyes, pulling you in like a moth to a flame. Yet, despite the undeniable attraction, there’s an elephant in the room the fact that he has a girlfriend.
Your heart stutters as you contemplate the sinfulness of the situation. What would Seungcheol think if he knew? What would the world say? Yet, all these thoughts swirl around you, fevered and meaningless in the face of what’s unfolding. All you can focus on is the heat radiating from Mingyu, the tantalizing brush of his thumb against the corner of your mouth as he studies you with intensity that makes every nerve in your body hum.
In the confines of this moment, morality blurs, and the thrill of secrecy ignites something primal within you. “Promise me,” he urges, his voice lower, desperately smooth as he steps even closer, closing that final distance, and all you can do is nod, breathlessly caught in the web of this intoxicating moment.
His lips brush against yours, gentle yet daring, and you can barely contain the gasp that escapes. It’s electric. You lean in, boldly seeking the contact with a growing passion, and all else fades from existence. The world dissolves, collapsing into nothingness while your lips move together, creating a rhythm that feels ancient, like a song that had waited lifetimes to be played. You taste the truth of your secrets, your desires laid bare against the warm canvas of his mouth, the sweet yet dangerous thrill curling around your heart.
As the kiss deepens, hunger blooms, mixing with the thrill of the taboo coursing through your veins. Your fingers twine into his dark hair, feeling the strength of him, the way he pulls you closer, anchoring you in this surreal moment. You’ve never felt this kind of urgency before, a desire so primal it almost aches. It's intoxicating, overwhelming, and impossibly scary.
Yet with each passing moment, the weight of reality presses down upon you. Mingyu has a girlfriend, someone who is likely waiting for him downstairs at the party, blissfully unaware of this secret liaison. The thought twists your insides, dark and thorny, demanding you to stop. You pull away with a gasp, searching his eyes, wide with uncertainty and fear.
“Mingyu,” you whisper, the weight of the world creeping back in. “What about your girlfriend?”
He sighs, running a hand through his hair, his expression shifting from passionate to troubled. “I know,” he admits, a shadow passing over his features. “But I never meant for it to happen like this.”
The tension hangs thick in the air, heavy with unresolved emotions. You should feel guilty, and part of you does, but every other part is consumed with the fire he ignited within you. The thought of never sharing this moment seems too painful, yet you’re both standing on the precipice of a secret, a forbidden encounter that could change everything.
In a sudden burst of courage, you take a step back, breaking the magnetic bond that had formed. “What do we do now?” you ask, your voice steady even as your heart races.
Mingyu looks at you, a mix of desire and concern reflecting in his gaze. “We keep it between us for now,” he says, determination etching his features. “But I... I don’t want this to end here. Not now, not ever.”
His words ignite a rush of warmth within you, filling the void of uncertainty with hope. There’s a chance in his words, a flicker of what could be, and the thrill of the unknown tugs at you, pulling you back closer.
“Alright,” you breathe, stepping back into his space, the intensity spiraling into something deeper, something breathtaking. “But it will be our little secret.”
He nods, his lips curving into a sly smile that makes your heart flutter.
As you step closer to him, your lips meet again, igniting the same electric spark that had consumed you moments before. This time, the kiss is deeper, more desperate, as if you’re both trying to pour every unsaid word and hidden feeling into it. His hands find your waist, pulling you flush against him, the heat of his body seeping into yours, leaving no space for doubt or hesitation.
You gasp against his mouth as his hands begin to roam, tracing the curve of your back with a touch that is both tender and possessive. His lips travel down your jaw, then to the sensitive skin of your neck, where he lingers, his breath hot and intoxicating. Your fingers tangle in his dark hair, urging him closer, wanting more of the fire he stokes in you.
“Mingyu,” you murmur, his name falling from your lips like a prayer. The sound seems to fuel him, his hands sliding lower, cupping you through your clothes. A shiver courses through you, your knees nearly buckling as he presses closer, his touch sending waves of pleasure rippling through your body.
The barrier of fabric between you is almost too much to bear. His hand slips beneath the hem of your dress, his fingers brushing against the bare skin of your thigh, drawing a soft gasp from you. He pauses for a moment, his eyes searching yours, seeking permission. The silent question hangs between you, and without a word, you nod, granting him access to the unspoken desires you can no longer deny.
His fingers slide higher, finding the heat of you. The sensation is almost too much, and your head falls back as he explores you with deliberate, expert movements. You bite your lip to stifle the moan threatening to escape, the reality of the party just a few floors below making the moment all the more thrilling and forbidden.
Every touch is a revelation, every stroke a promise of something you’ve never felt before. Your body responds to him instinctively, moving against his hand as he builds you higher and higher, coaxing you toward the edge with maddening precision. He presses his forehead to yours, his voice a husky whisper against your ear. “You’re incredible,” he breathes, his words sending another wave of pleasure cascading through you.
The moment builds to a crescendo, and when you finally reach it, it’s like the world explodes into color, every nerve in your body alight with sensation. Your breath comes in ragged gasps as he holds you close, his touch gentle now, guiding you back down from the peak he brought you to.
For a moment, the world is still, the only sound the beating of your hearts and the distant hum of the music below. Mingyu’s hand slides from beneath your dress, his fingers brushing against your cheek as he cups your face, his gaze soft yet intense. He leans in, kissing you one last time, slow and lingering, as if he wants to commit this moment to memory.
But reality creeps back in, pulling you both from the bubble you’ve created. You adjust your dress, smoothing the fabric with trembling hands as Mingyu steps back, his expression conflicted. “We should go down,” he says, his voice low and tinged with regret.
You nod, the weight of what just happened settling over you. The thrill of the forbidden encounter still buzzes in your veins, but so does the undeniable truth you’re both stepping into dangerous territory.
When you reach the party, the energy is palpable, the music loud and the laughter infectious. Mingyu brushes your hand one last time before slipping away, his figure disappearing into the crowd. Your eyes follow him, and your heart clenches as you see him approach his girlfriend, who greets him with a radiant smile, blissfully unaware of what just transpired.
You tear your gaze away, the knot in your stomach tightening as you weave through the crowd to find Seungcheol. He’s by the drinks table, laughing with a group of friends, his familiar presence grounding you amidst the chaos in your mind
“There you are,” he says with a grin, draping an arm around your shoulders. “I was starting to think you’d vanished.”
“Just needed a moment,” you reply, forcing a smile. The weight of your secret presses down on you, but you bury it deep, hiding it beneath the surface where no one can see.
As the night wears on, you steal glances at Mingyu, who seems perfectly at ease with his girlfriend at his side. But every now and then, his eyes find yours across the room, and in that fleeting connection, you feel the echo of your shared moment a dangerous, intoxicating secret that binds you together, even as it threatens to unravel everything.
The kitchen is quieter than the rest of the party, the sound of muffled music and laughter filtering in from the other rooms. You lean against the counter, trying to calm your racing thoughts. The encounter with Mingyu is still fresh in your mind, the heat of it lingering on your skin. But the weight of guilt and confusion presses down on you like a storm cloud.
Just as you’re about to head back out, she walks in.
Mingyu’s girlfriend.
She’s radiant, her confidence radiating from her like a shield. Her eyes find you immediately, and there’s a flicker of something sharp in her gaze an awareness that makes your stomach churn. She pours herself a drink, then leans against the counter opposite you, her smile tight and laced with something venomous.
“You’re Seungcheol’s sister, right?” she asks casually, but there’s an edge to her voice. You nod, unsure of where this is going, and she takes a sip before continuing. “I couldn’t help but notice the way you’ve been looking at Mingyu tonight.”
Your heart skips a beat.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you say, forcing your voice to remain steady, but she laughs a cold, knowing sound.
“Oh, please,” she says, setting her glass down. “I see everything. The stolen glances, the way you light up when he’s around. But let me make one thing clear he’s mine. He always has been, and he always will be.”
Her words cut like a blade, and anger flares within you. “You don’t know anything about me,” you snap, your voice rising despite your best efforts.
“I know enough,” she fires back, stepping closer. “And I know girls like you. You think you can swoop in and take what doesn’t belong to you. But Mingyu isn’t some trophy you can steal.”
The tension in the room is suffocating, and before you can stop yourself, your voice lashes out, sharp and heated. “Maybe you should pay more attention to him, then. If you really knew him, maybe he wouldn’t be looking elsewhere.”
The words hit their mark, and her eyes narrow dangerously. She steps closer, and for a moment, it feels like the whole world is about to explode.
“What’s going on in here?”
The sound of Seungcheol’s voice cuts through the tension like a knife. He strides into the kitchen, Mingyu close behind him, both of them taking in the scene with wide eyes.
“She’s been acting out of line,” Mingyu’s girlfriend says quickly, her voice dripping with indignation.
“That’s not what happened,” you start, but Seungcheol raises a hand to stop you.
“Enough,” he says firmly, his gaze shifting between the two of you. “Whatever this is, it ends now.
Mingyu steps between you, his expression a mixture of concern and frustration. “Let’s go,” he says softly to his girlfriend, placing a hand on her arm. She glares at you one last time before allowing him to lead her out of the room.
Seungcheol turns to you, his brow furrowed. “You okay?”
“I just need a minute,” you mutter, brushing past him and heading upstairs, your anger simmering just beneath the surface.
Fifteen minutes later, you’re sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at the floor when the door creaks open. You glance up to see Mingyu standing in the doorway, his expression unreadable.
“What do you want?” you ask, your voice cold.
He steps inside, closing the door behind him. “I wanted to check on you,” he says softly, but there’s something in his tone that makes your heart race.
“I don’t need your pity,” you snap, standing to face him.
“It’s not pity,” he says, moving closer. “I just… I hate seeing you like this.”
The anger bubbling inside you boils over, and before you know it, you’re grabbing him by the collar and pulling him into a searing kiss. It’s not gentle or sweet—it’s fiery and demanding, a collision of anger and desire. Mingyu responds immediately, his hands gripping your waist as he matches your intensity, his lips and tongue driving you wild.
You push him back onto the bed, straddling him as your hands tangle in his hair. “You made this mess,” you murmur against his lips, biting down gently on his lower lip before trailing your kisses to his neck. You suck hard on the sensitive skin, leaving a dark mark that will be impossible to hide.
Mingyu groans beneath you, his hands exploring your body as he whispers your name like a prayer. But you’re not done. “You’re going to make it up to me,” you say, your voice low and commanding.
He nods, his eyes dark with desire. “Anything,” he breathes.
Before you know it, his lips are trailing down your body, his hands guiding you back onto the bed as he kneels between your legs. His tongue works magic, coaxing moans from your lips as he erases every ounce of anger and frustration from your body. The pleasure builds and builds, consuming you until you’re left trembling and breathless, your fingers clutching at the sheets
When it’s over, he looks up at you, his expression soft and full of remorse. “I’m sorry,” he says, his voice barely above a whisper.
You sit up, smoothing your dress as you avoid his gaze. “You should be,” you say, your tone clipped. Without another word, you leave the room, the echoes of what just happened lingering in the air behind you.
Downstairs, the party is still in full swing, but you slip out unnoticed, the cool night air hitting your skin as you make your escape.
Back inside, Seungcheol corners Mingyu near the staircase, his expression unreadable. “What’s going on?” he asks, his voice calm but firm.
Mingyu freezes, his heart pounding. “What do you mean?”
Seungcheol steps closer, his gaze piercing. “Don’t play dumb. I saw the way she looked when she came down here. I know something happened between you two.”
Mingyu swallows hard, his mind racing as he struggles to find the right words. “It’s not what you think,” he starts, but Seungcheol cuts him off.
“It better not be,” he says, his voice low and full of warning. “Because if you hurt her, Mingyu, you’ll have me to answer to.”
Mingyu nods, the weight of Seungcheol’s words settling heavily on his shoulders. “I understand,” he says quietly, but as he watches Seungcheol walk away, he knows the situation is far more complicated than either of them realizes.
Weeks pass in a haze of conflicting emotions. The party feels like a distant memory, yet the lingering sensations of Mingyu’s touch haunt you at the most unexpected moments. You tell yourself it’s for the best keeping your distance, letting the intensity of what happened simmer down. But a part of you aches to see him again, to know if he feels the same burning ache you do.
When Seungcheol texts you one day, asking if you can bring food to practice, you agree without a second thought. It’s innocent enough a sisterly act to support your brother and his group. You convince yourself it has nothing to do with the possibility of seeing Mingyu again.
The practice room is buzzing with energy when you arrive, your arms laden with containers of food. The members are spread out, joking and catching their breath after what must have been a grueling rehearsal. Your eyes dart around the room, and there he is. Mingyu.
He’s leaning against the wall, his shirt clinging to his damp skin, his hair disheveled from practice. When he notices you, his gaze locks onto yours, an unreadable expression crossing his face. You quickly look away, focusing on Seungcheol, who greets you with a bright smile.
“You’re a lifesaver,” Seungcheol says, taking the food from your hands. “We were starving.”
The members gather around, diving into the meal, and for a while, it’s easy to blend into the background. But you can feel Mingyu’s eyes on you, a steady burn that makes your skin tingle. You keep your distance, chatting with Seungcheol and a few of the others until practice wraps up.
One by one, the members start to leave, thanking you for the food as they head out. Soon, it’s just you, Seungcheol, and Mingyu.
“I’ll be right back,” Seungcheol says, grabbing his bag. “Just need to grab something from the other room.”
The door clicks shut behind him, and the air shifts. You turn to leave, but Mingyu steps in front of the door, blocking your path.
“Mingyu,” you start, but he cuts you off, his hand reaching out to lock the door with a decisive click.
“We need to talk,” he says, his voice low and steady.
You swallow hard, your heart pounding. “There’s nothing to talk about.”
“There’s everything to talk about,” he counters, stepping closer. “I broke up with her.”
His words hit you like a freight train, and you stare at him, stunned. “What?”
“She saw the hickey,” he admits, his tone unapologetic. “She knew. And honestly? I didn’t deny it. I told her the truth about you. About us.”
You take a step back, your back hitting the cool surface of the mirror. “Mingyu, you shouldn’t have—”
“I don’t regret it,” he interrupts, his voice firm. “Not a single second of it.”
Before you can respond, he closes the distance between you, his hands bracing on either side of your head, trapping you against the mirror. His proximity is intoxicating, his scent wrapping around you, pulling you under.
“I can’t stop thinking about you,” he murmurs, his lips inches from yours. “Every day, every night. I don’t care what anyone thinks. I need you.”
Your resolve crumbles, and with a shaky breath, you grab the front of his shirt, pulling him into a fiery kiss. It’s desperate and demanding, all the pent-up frustration and longing pouring out in waves. He presses you harder against the mirror, his hands roaming your body, igniting every nerve ending.
“Say you want this,” he growls against your lips, his voice thick with desire.
“I want this,” you breathe, your voice trembling with the force of your need. “I want you.”
The words seem to snap the last thread of his control. He lifts you effortlessly, your legs wrapping around his waist as he grinds against you, the friction sending shockwaves through your body. His lips trail down your neck, sucking and biting, leaving marks that claim you as his.
“Mingyu,” you moan, your fingers tangling in his hair as he unravels you piece by piece.
“I’ve wanted you for so long,” he whispers, his voice rough with emotion. “You drive me crazy.”
The mirror behind you is cool against your skin as he pulls at your clothes, his touch feverish and desperate. When he finally enters you, it’s like the world stops. The intensity of it all the heat, the connection, the way he holds you like you’re the center of his universe it’s overwhelming.
“You’re mine,” he says, his thrusts deep and deliberate, punctuating every word. “Say it.”
“I’m yours,” you gasp, your nails digging into his shoulders as pleasure builds to an unbearable peak.
The room is filled with the sounds of your passion his deep groans, your breathless moans, the rhythmic beat of your bodies moving as one. He holds nothing back, and neither do you, the intensity of your connection burning hotter and brighter until you both reach the edge, shattering together in a moment that feels infinite.
As you catch your breath, he presses his forehead to yours, his hands cradling your face. “I love you,” he whispers, his voice raw and vulnerable.
Your heart swells, and you cup his cheek, meeting his gaze. “I love you too.”
The words hang in the air, a promise and a confession all at once.
Later, as you leave the practice room, your heart full yet heavy with the weight of what’s to come, Seungcheol corners Mingyu near the doorway.
“What’s going on between you two?” he asks, his voice sharp and suspicious.
Mingyu hesitates for only a moment before meeting his gaze. “I love her,” he says simply, his tone steady and sure.
Seungcheol’s expression hardens, his protective instincts kicking in. “You better not hurt her,” he warns, his voice low and dangerous.
“I won’t,” Mingyu promises, determination blazing in his eyes. “She means everything to me.”
The tension between them is palpable, but Seungcheol seems to relent, stepping back with a grudging nod.
“This isn’t going to be easy,” he says, his tone softer now.
“I know,” Mingyu replies, his gaze flicking to the door where you disappeared. “But she’s worth it.”

pairing: mingyu x reader | wc: 1.1k prompt: "Please just leave." au: chef!mingyu | warnings: angst! and tears a/n: TIYA HELLO! thank you for this req it was so sad to write but i hope you love <3
The apartment was suffocatingly quiet for a fight. No music playing in the background, no rain against the windows to soften the edges of your words—just silence, heavy and dense, pressing against your chest, making it hard to breathe. Mingyu stood in the center of the living room, his coat still damp from the storm outside, water dripping from the fabric, leaving a faint puddle at his feet. His tall frame seemed out of place here, as if it didn’t belong in this small space, weighed down by the tension between you both.
You were perched on the couch, arms crossed tightly, a defensive shield you knew wouldn’t protect you from the pain of this conversation. You wanted to retreat into the softness of the cushions, to sink away from him, but you couldn’t move. You couldn’t look away, even as your chest tightened and the cold of the room seeped deeper into your skin.
“I don’t even understand what I did wrong!” His voice cracked, frustration and confusion lacing his words. He ran a hand through his damp hair, as if trying to shake the tension out of his mind. “I—I’m here, aren’t I? Why is that never enough for you?”
Your breath hitched, your heart pounding in your throat, but you didn’t back down. You couldn’t. The words you’d been holding back for so long finally broke free, raw and cutting. “It’s not just about you being here, Mingyu. It’s when you decide to show up. You don’t get to keep ignoring me until I’ve hit my limit, then think you can fix everything by standing in my living room and saying you care.”
He took a step forward, but his eyes were desperate, pleading for some sign that you still cared, that there was something left of the person he used to know. “I don’t understand. I’ve been working—working to build something, something for us! And when I’m finally here, you still—”
“You’re always working, Mingyu!” Your voice cracked under the weight of the frustration that had been building for months, maybe longer. “When was the last time you didn’t have your phone on you? When was the last time you didn’t cancel on me because ‘the restaurant’s short-staffed,’ or you just need to finish one last thing?” Your breath came out in short, shaky bursts. “You didn’t even call me back when you knew it was my birthday. That’s what hurts the most.”
The words hit him like a blow, a quick intake of air following the realization. His expression faltered, the first cracks appearing in his armor. “I... I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to—”
“Yeah, you didn’t mean to,” you interrupted, voice soft but heavy with disappointment. “But it keeps happening, Mingyu. You keep doing it. You keep saying it’s not intentional, and then you walk through the door like everything’s fine, like you haven’t been neglecting me for weeks.”
He froze. The tension between you thickened, hanging in the air like smoke that wouldn’t dissipate. “I wasn’t ignoring you, okay? I was just trying to... I thought you’d understand. I thought you’d—”
“No, you didn’t think, Mingyu. You assumed,” you said, bitterness seeping into every syllable. “You assumed I’d be fine with it. You assumed I’d be okay with the empty promises, the unreturned messages, the way you disappear whenever things get hard. But I’m not fine. And I’m so tired of pretending that I am.”
His hands shook as he stepped toward you again, his voice breaking with a softness you hadn’t heard in months. “I’m sorry. I know I screwed up. But I’m here now. Let me make it right. I’ll... I’ll stay. I’ll be here for you. I’ll make things better.”
You shook your head, stepping back, distancing yourself both physically and emotionally. “That’s the problem, Mingyu. You think that just showing up, just being here in front of me, is enough to make everything better. But it’s not. It’s too late for that. I can’t just pretend like everything’s okay when it’s not.”
His eyes softened, and for a moment, the boy you fell for peeked through the cracks. The one who used to wait outside your office just to walk you home, who stayed up late to hear every mundane detail of your day, who never left you wondering where he was or if he cared. That version of him felt like a distant memory now, buried beneath layers of missed calls, broken promises, and unspoken words.
You could see it in his face—the hurt, the regret—but the distance between you both felt too wide to cross anymore. “Please... Don’t do this,” he whispered, stepping closer, his voice raw with emotion. “I need you. I need us.”
You swallowed, your throat tight with the weight of everything you wanted to say but couldn’t. “I can’t keep waiting for you to care when you decide it’s convenient for you, Mingyu. I can’t keep putting myself through this. I can’t keep pretending that it’s enough just because you’re here when it suits you.”
The silence stretched between you both, suffocating and heavy. His hand reached out, fingers trembling as if he wanted to hold you, to make things right, but he stopped himself. He knew, deep down, that it was too late. That the bridge between you had already collapsed, one small misstep at a time, until there was nothing left to salvage.
“Please just leave,” you said quietly, the words slipping from your lips like they didn’t even belong to you. They were heavy, final, like the last breath of something you once held dear.
His breath hitched, his chest tightening, but you didn’t look away. You couldn’t look away from the wreckage that was left between you both, and you knew that leaving now was the only way to preserve whatever was left of yourself.
He stood frozen, his hand still on the doorknob, his body shaking like he was fighting to say something, anything, to change the course of what was happening. But the words wouldn’t come. There was nothing left to say. The silence stretched until it became deafening.
With one last look, he stepped out, the door closing softly behind him. You stood there, motionless, listening to the sound of his footsteps fade away into the distance, swallowed by the rain and the night.
The apartment was cold now, emptier than it had ever been, the silence louder than any argument. And when you finally exhaled, it was like the breath you’d been holding for so long had escaped—too late, but finally out.
But the ache in your chest remained.

You anxiously bounced your leg under the table, gently gnawing on your bottom lip as you glanced around the fancy restaurant. Across from you, the chair in front of you had now been empty for an awfully long time now and something told you that your blind date had ditched, leaving you with the incredibly overwhelming and taxing bill.
Fuck.
You rested your head in your hands and let out a tired sigh. There was no way this was happening.
As you reached for your wallet, you flagged down a nearby waiter to ask for the bill. He nodded at your request and you let out what seemed to the umpteenth sigh of that night. While waiting for the bill to reach your table, you began rearranging the leftover peas on your porcelain plate.
“Didn’t know we had a Picasso in the house.” An unfamiliar voice remarked next to you.
You yelped in surprise and whipped around to see a tall, handsome young man peering over your shoulder with an amused smile. He was in a black button down with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, showcasing his prominent forearm muscles, tucked into a pair of dark trousers. “That’s very impressive… is that a self-portrait?”
You snorted in disbelief, your shoulders shaking as you let out a quiet laugh. “No, it’s supposed to be my date. Too bad they left before I could remember what they looked like.”
The mysterious man scrunched up his handsome face, as if to say ‘Ouch’. “Do you mind if I—?” He gestured towards the empty seat in front of you and you nodded.
“Go ahead. That seat’s going to be empty for the rest of the night anyways.” You let out a bitter laugh. He gave you a sympathetic smile and situated himself in front of you with an arm outstretched reaching over the table.
“Kim Mingyu. I’m the owner and executive chef of this restaurant. I received a report that there was an attractive young person who was left on their lonesome after their date mysteriously disappeared.” The man, Mingyu, tilted his head. “Didn’t think said person was going to be this attractive though.”
You blushed at his compliment as you shook his hand. “[Name]. Not sure who snitched on me, though I’m glad to have new company.”
“Are you… on your way out now? Since your date is gone?”
“Yes, I’m just waiting for the bill.”
Mingyu waved his hand dismissively. “Don’t worry about it. It’s on the house.”
Your eyes widened in disbelief. “You’re kidding.”
After spilling coffee on your blouse this morning and running 30 minutes late for work, you were more than positive that the day was going to end in disaster. The disappearance of your blind date following a very long, tiring day at work only confirmed those suspicions. However, it seemed like that the goddess of luck was no longer hellbent on making your life a living disaster with the way the stranger sitting across from you managed to douse out the fire that had been burning within you for the past few hours with a single smile.
“I’m afraid I’m not. But if you feel pressured or aren’t comfortable with it, no worries!” Mingyu said lightheartedly.
“Oh my God,” You ran a tired hand through your face and let out a dry, incredulous laugh. “You literally just saved me from having the worst day ever. I was preparing myself to break down into tears once I received the check. Thank you, I really appreciate that.”
He smiled at your words. “Of course, just doing my daily random act of kindness for a stranger. Although…” He trailed off and you quirked an inquisitive brow at him.
“Although?” You asked.
“Although… would it appall you if I said it was my way of shooting my shot?” Mingyu rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous laugh. His eyes nervously darted back and forth between your face and the half-eaten plate in front of him, left by your crappy blind date who was honestly, no longer in your realm of attention. Not when Mingyu was in front of you.
Shooting his shot? You felt your cheeks burn at a temperature similar to the candle perched on a candelabra on your table at his words and you coughed before fumbling to find the right words.
“I mean… I wouldn’t be opposed to it. Since you’re my savior tonight and all…” Your voice faltered and Mingyu beamed.
“That’s great! Here’s my business card, if you ever want to contact me.” He pulled out a crisp card and handed it to you as he got up from the chair. “Well, I must be getting on my way now. I’d love to stay and chat but I have big boss duties to do.”
Mingyu tipped an imaginary top hat towards your direction. You smiled. “It was nice meeting you, [Name].”
“It was nice meeting you too, Mingyu. I’ll contact you,” You waved his business card and he nodded.
“I’ll be looking forward to it. Bye, [Name].”
And with that he was gone, leaving nothing but the lingering scent of his perfume and the fluttering of your heart.
Tumblr media
“Just call him!!” Your best friend urged you. He was sitting on the other end of the sofa, munching on a bag of chips as he watched you metaphorically rip your hair out over the business card you received from Mingyu a week ago.
“It’s not that simple, Seungkwan! What if he hates me now because it took me so long to contact him? I bet he’s forgotten about me at this point.” You pouted and continued to stare at the worn, but still elaborate cardstock in your hands.
Seungkwan rolled his eyes. “Dude, you’re overthinking this entire thing. Listen to me,” He paused to fix his posture to face you. “He gave you the business card, right?”
You nodded.
“Did he ask for your number?”
You shook your head.
“Did he receive any kind of contact information from you?”
You shook your head again.
“But he gave you his business card? [Name], he literally served you the ball on a silver platter. He’s interested in you but won’t make any moves unless you do. The ball is in your court. Take that damn ball and BOUNCE IT!”
Seungkwan let out a frustrated yell and shoved another handful of chips into his mouth. “I swear, you have the IQ of Jeonghan’s pet rock sometimes.”
“Hey! Doljjong is very intelligent!” Your other best friend yelled from the kitchen. “He has really good hearing too, so don’t insult him like that or else you’ll be dealing with me.”
Seungkwan rolled his eyes and you laughed as Jeonghan came out into the living room to give his own two cents.
“But Seungkwan’s right. The entire fate of a whole new possible relationship with this mythical Kim Mingyu—”
“HE’S REAL. I SHOOK HIS HAND.”
“—is in your hands. Don’t blow it. Or else me and Seungkwan—”
“Seungkwan and I.” You corrected him.
“—will be—Okay, fuck you, grammar police—Will be taking this matter into our own hands so we no longer have to hear your bitching and whining.”
You let out a frustrated groan and threw down the business card that’s been putting you through pain and misery through the past week.
“God, he was literally perfect. I don’t wanna blow it and—”
“That’s what they said.”
“Jeonghan, I’m going to literally throw Doljjong into the bottom of Han River and you’re going to be joining him soon after if you don’t shut the fuck up.”
Seungkwan burst into laughter and watched you and Jeonghan continue to argue back and forth.
“Forget it, it’s useless talking to a person who believes that a rock can be a pet.” You got up from your spot on the couch and reached for your phone. “I’m stepping out for some air. Lock the door if you leave before I come back.”
“See ya, don’t wanna be ya!” Jeonghan yelled from the living room as you left the house and you loudly groaned.
You loved both your best friends but they sometimes drove you absolutely insane.
Tumblr media
The sky was dark but the countless lights from the skyscrapers and streetlights illuminated the Han River, making the surface twinkle and shine under the pale moonlight.
You were sitting on a lone bench, facing the river as you mindlessly fidgeted with Mingyu’s business card. The edges were fraying from the countless amount of times you’ve handled it between your fingertips, and you traced the black lettering of Mingyu’s name with your index finger as you silently sounded out every vowel and consonant of his name.
Seungkwan’s words rang in your head. ‘He literally served you the ball on a silver platter. He’s interested in you but won’t make any moves unless you do. The ball is in your court. Take that damn ball and BOUNCE IT!’
Like a switch was suddenly flipped inside you, you reached for your phone. The screen lit up and you pulled up a new message to type in the phone number that was written on the card in your hand.
Without a single thought, you sent,
hey! it’s [name]!
Before you could even type the first letter of your follow-up text, the status of your message changed from ‘Delivered’ to ‘Read 21:24’ and you let out a gasp.
And then the loud, shrill ringing of your ringtone cut through the peaceful night air.
You gasped louder than before after seeing the caller ID, reaching to frantically turn off the ringer before answering the phone.
“He–hello?”
“Took you long enough,” Mingyu’s voice sounded crisp and clear on the other end of the line. You couldn’t see him, but you could almost hear the smile in his voice as he spoke. “You almost had me thinking that you were ghosting me or something.”
You let out an apologetic groan. “I’m so sorry, Mingyu. I got in my head and kept putting it off. I swear it wasn’t personal…”
Mingyu’s laugh was bright. “No worries! I assumed you had your hands full. Although, I did jump a little every time I received a text from anyone from the past week.”
“Oh, man… I feel horrible. I’m so sorry.”
“I’m telling you, don’t worry about it! Better late than never, right?” There was an awkward moment of silence before he spoke again. “What are you up to right now?”
You hummed and looked out at the tranquil water of the Han River reflecting the bright lights of the city. “Nothing much. I stepped out for a minute for some air. What about you?”
“Oh, really? I’m actually out for a walk too.” You swore you heard a second voice near you, echoing the words Mingyu was saying in your phone. “Turn around for me?”
You whipped around with the phone still pressed to your ear to see Mingyu standing behind the bench, a small smile playing on his lips. You ended the phone call.
“Mingyu?”
“‘Morning, sunshine,” He slid into the empty spot next to you and you scooched over to make more room for him. “What a way to run into the guy you’ve been ghosting, huh?”
You snorted at his greeting, ignoring the slight burn you felt in your cheeks from the nickname he had addressed you by. “I told you, it wasn’t intentional.”
Mingyu grinned. “I know. Just felt like teasing you.”
“What are- what are you doing here though? Do you live in this area?” You asked. He nodded.
“Yeah. I moved into that apartment complex not too long ago,” He pointed to a tall building on the other side of the river. “Has a killer night view. You should come over to check it out sometime.”
You choked on your spit, resulting in you barking out a short, panicked laugh. “Do you—-do you usually say these… these things to people?”
“No, not really. I’m not usually like this,” Mingyu looked over at you with a slight tilt in his head. The night breeze brushed his bangs across his forehead and you felt your breath falter at the way the closest streetlight illuminated his honey-like, gorgeous skin. There was a particular glint in his eyes as he opened his mouth to speak again. “Pardon me if this is too brazen, but I’m only like this when I feel like I’ve met the one. My soulmate.”
Your breath was caught in your throat.
“Does it… usually work?” You choked out. Your face felt incredibly hot and your clammy hands were sticking to the bench.
Mingyu turned back to face the river and your stomach did an odd flip. “I’m not sure. You tell me.”
Oh God. You thought you were melting on the spot with the way he was looking at you. Mingyu was holding eye contact with such intensity, you physically couldn’t look away. Your heart hammered wildly against your ribcage and you decided you were going to sign yourself up for the upcoming Olympics, with the way your stomach was doing flips like an Olympic gymnast. Simone Biles had nothing on whatever routine was going on inside you right now.
“… I’d give it a solid 8 out of 10.” You gave him the most nonchalant shrug you could afford, knowing that there were enough butterflies in your stomach to start a butterfly conservatory. Mingyu looked at you as if he was surprised by the score.
“Really? What would I have to do to win back the last two points?”
You gave him a pointed look, and the next words to leave your mouth almost sent you into cardiac arrest. “Hmm… live up to your words? I guess?”
And the smile Mingyu gave you in that moment was the brightest one of all. His entire being seemed to glow in ecstasy, glowing brighter than the streetlights as he looked at you with a suggestive glint in his eyes. “I thought you’d never ask.”
Tumblr media
“Mingyu?” You called from the living room. Mingyu didn’t respond and the only thing you heard from the kitchen was the clattering of plates and silverware. “Babe?”
Pushing yourself off the couch with a quiet groan, you padded over to the kitchen where your fiancé was busying himself with preparing dinner. He was hunched over the counter, his hands and trusty knife busy at work as he chopped away on his chopping block. Careful not to startle him when he had a knife in his hand, you snuck your arms around Mingyu’s torso and peered over his shoulder to watch him work his magic.
“Watcha doing?” You asked sweetly. Mingyu acknowledged your presence with a short peck on your forehead.
“Hi, baby.” His voice was rough and the sound sent shivers down your spine. “Preparing to feed you. Why?”
You hummed and nuzzled your face into Mingyu’s back. He smelled like a mix of spices, sweat, and his faint woody cologne permeated your senses. “Do you think we’re soulmates?”
Mingyu set down his knife and turned around to face you, his back resting against the marble counter with his hands resting comfortably at your waist.
“What’s with the sudden question?” He quirked a well-groomed brow at you and you smiled.
“Nothing… I just read a blog about soulmates and I was curious about whether you thought they were real,” Your fingers danced along Mingyu’s strong, muscular forearms, your fingertips lightly tracing all the old scars and burn marks that signified his experience and years spent working to master his craft. You repeated your original question again. “So… do you think we’re soulmates?”
Mingyu leaned in to press a quick kiss to your lips. “I don’t think so, love. I know so.”
“Really?” Your eyes brightened at his words and he nodded.
“Mhm. I knew from the moment I saw you playing with those leftover peas on your plate that I was going to marry you,” Mingyu leaned in again, nuzzling his nose against yours. You giggled. “Sometimes, I have dreams where I knew you in another life. But those dreams felt so… real. Like they’re fragments of memories from a past I can’t recall.”
“Are we married in those dreams too?”
“Mhm. We were happily married, just like we’re going to be.” Mingyu captured your lips with his, sighing gently as your fingers combed through his dark hair.
“I love you, Mingyu.” You whispered against his lips, like a secret only meant for the two of you to know. Something to be taken and hidden away, kept a secret in the deepest depths of the earth. A secret so sacred, it can only be cherished in the deepest, darkest places so that no one else can know.
“I love you too, [Name],” Mingyu’s love confession was more bold. Something he uttered with purpose and intention. He wanted the entire universe to know that he was yours. His heart belonged to you. He was going to love you loudly and boldly. “I’ll love you in every universe. Wherever you go, that’s where I’ll follow.”

― BROKEN CAMERAS
𝜗𝜚 THEME: fluff, domestic vibes, absolutely whipped kim mingyu 𝜗𝜚 PAIRING: dad!mingyu x mom!reader 𝜗𝜚 WORD COUNT: 1.2k
⦗💌 ⦘in which your little girl wants to take a picture of you and mingyu but drops the camera she stole from him in the process
Tumblr media
„i was thinking,” mingyu murmured into your hair and turned the volume of the tv down, „that we could go to the farmer’s market tomorrow. since i don’t have any schedules, y’know.”
you peeled your eyes from the screen and looked up at your husband from where your head was resting on his chest and nodded immediately, as if you’d ever say no to a day out with him and your daughter. „sounds perfect,” you sighed happily and fixed the blanket that mingyu wrapped you in some time ago. „maybe we’ll manage to find some vintage frames to match those in the living room.”
he hummed and brushed his nose against your cheek. „just… this time we have to avoid the section where they keep the plushies.”
ah yes, the plushies.
your little girl’s current hyperfixation and your husband’s cause of nightmares. not that you minded, there was something endearing in a 6 foot something man sitting in a circle of bears and unicorns drinking tea from a miniature teacup.
you smirked and lifted your head. „but she’ll be devastated, honey,” you fake-pouted.
she wouldn’t though, not really. your little girl has had her dad wrapped around her little finger since day one and she was a very smart kid, so figuring out how to get her dad to do anything for her wasn’t that difficult. she’s had the puppy-eyes technique figured out for a long time now, which… she used a lot to her advantage.
mingyu groaned and lowered his head, bumping it against your shoulder. „there’s literally no room left in her bedroom. last night, when i was kissing her goodnight, i tripped over at least three of them!” he whined.
that was very much true. you spent fifteen minutes this morning trying to find one of her shoes amongst the mess of unicorns of all shapes and sizes, and all you found in the end was a sock that you had been looking for for the past month. it didn’t help that soonyoug bought her tiger plushies every other week, not to mention seungcheol who loved spending his money on your daughter for some reason.
but you couldn't help but throw your head back and laugh at your husband wholeheartedly. „gyu, you’re capable of tripping over air, it doesn’t count in your case,” you giggled and ran your fingers through his messy hair, pushing back the few curly strands that fell over his eyes. “besides, she’ll find a way to get those plushies either way. it’s not like you’ll ever say no to her.”
you could feel your husband’s pouty lips against your collarbone as he said, “you’re right. but it’s unfair that mr.unicorn gets all the cuddles now. even that ugly monkey that looks like it had been through a car crash and a bad lip injection is more loved than i am.”
heavens, sometimes you wondered who the real baby in your family was.
“gyu, listen to me,” you took his face in your hands and peeled him away from you, “stop overreacting-,”.
“but what if she’s all grown up now and won’t-,”.
“she’s three, kim mingyu. besides, she loves you, you dumbass,” you ran your thumb over his cheek, though that didn’t seem to convince him. “she’s a daddy’s girl, okay? trust me, i am the one who should be complaining about the lack of cuddles,” you said and smoothed the crease between his brows.
“if you say so,” he sighed, and nuzzled his cheek into your hand. “but-,”.
suddenly, out of nowhere, you heard a loud bang behind you, like something fell and... glass broke? mingyu being mingyu, almost fell off the couch, but you were quick to turn around to inspect where the sound came from.
and your heart almost broke when you saw what, or rather who, was standing behind the couch.
"oh, honey," you cooed.
your little girl was standing in the middle of the room, clad in her pink nightgown mingyu had bought her on one of his trips abroad, only instead of the bright smile that always graced her face, there were tears in her gorgeous, brown eyes.
"what the?" your husband murmured next to you. “is that my camera?”
your daughter’s eyes widened in panic as she looked at him. “‘m sorry, daddy,” her voice wobbled in the most heartbreaking way possible. the little girl’s tiny hands were clutching onto the neck strap that was supposed to be connected to the camera. “didn’ mean,” she sniffled, “to break it,” she said and the first tears started rolling down her puffy cheeks.
you quickly untangled your limbs from the blanket but before you could get up, mingyu put his hand on your thigh. “no, no, no,” he almost tripped from how fast he got up from the couch. “it wasn’t your fault, princess.”
you thanked whatever grace that your daughter was smart enough not to move because the floor around her was litreed in small glass shards and you weren’t sure what you and mingyu would do if anything happened to her.
not even a second later, he was at her side, picking up her small body and engulfing her in his big arms.
“don’ be angry, daddy,” your baby cried into mingyu's shoulder and wrapped her arms around his neck.
mingyu shook his head and turned around to face you with a heartbreakingly sad expression. “i’m not angry, baby. i was just scared,” he murmured. “daddy thought you hurt yourself.”
you waved for them to come over to where you were sitting and muttered a quiet “come here”.
your husband placed your daughter on his lap, her head pressed against his chest, on the same spot where yours was just a minute ago. her tiny fists were pressed against his naked tummy as she continued to sniffle quietly.
wiping every tear that escaped her eyes you started to hum one of the lullababies mingyu used to sing to her when she was a newborn, something you still did when she was upset. your husband was stroking her hair the whole time, rocking her back and forth, as you continued to hum quietly.
“why did you take my camera, sweetheart?” mingyu asked after a while, when her breathing calmed down a bit.
“i woke up,” she said, looking up at him with her big brown eyes. “and i saw you n’ mommy sittin’ and i wan’ to take picture. like you always take of me n’ mommy.”
mingyu’s own eyes welled up with tears and he quickly tucked her head back to his chest so she wouldn’t see him upset.
“oh, baby,” you whispered quietly, though you weren’t sure who needed more comforting at that point. “that’s so sweet, but next time ask me or daddy for help, okay? you could’ve seriously injured yourself.”
your baby girl nodded and she scrambled off mingyu’s lap to throw herself in your embrace instead. well, it was nice to know that the unicorns and your husband hadn’t replaced you completely yet.
“what do you say we go and grab a camera together, hm?” he asked. “and we can do a whole photoshoot, we can even make a white background with the sheets.”
“pink. pink sheets,” she said and clapped her hands. it seemed that you and mingyu breathed a sigh of relief that your daughter was back to her normal, bubbly self.

"Baby, I said I was sorry."
You could hear the desperation in his voice as he apologised for the umpteenth time today. He stands before you, placing your hands against his chest, whipping out the puppy eyes. You'd fall for it in any other instance, but today, when you're this annoyed, nothing works.
"Baby, I told you what I did was just fan service. They don't mean anything. You're the only one I have feelings for," you hear him almost whine as he pouts at you.
Yes, that's what you're pissed about: him giving fan service. You may seem petty, but you have valid reasons for getting upset. You don't mind him giving fan service; it's part of the job. But lately, it seems as if he's giving a bit too much fan service.
Several moments of his fan service have gone viral, littering your feed with constant comments from fans stating how he's the perfect man. And he is, but just not at the moment. Not even when he looks down at you with his precious big eyes blinking at you, resembling a puppy. If you stared hard enough, you could swear his ears had drooped a bit, lips pursued in a pout that seemed to dissolve your anger.
Stay strong; you have to prove your point.
Huffing, you snatch your hands back from his, afraid you'll cave in if you stare for even a second longer. He lets out a defeated sigh, walking away, leaving you to brood alone.
Several minutes pass, with you wallowing in your self-pity before you are interrupted by the sound of grunting. Straining your ears, you catch on to the louder grunts and huffs from the other room. Shifting your eyes to the nearby clock, you stare at the time and widen in realisation.
It's 6 pm.
6 pm is Mingyu's usual workout time, infamously known as Thot Hour. Why, you ask? Well, it's the time of day when you sit back, relax, and shamelessly ogle at your beefy boyfriend working out. If you're lucky enough, he might end his workout with cardio, which involves you between his legs.
Losing the silent debate in your head, you make the right decision to go and watch him work out; just cause you're mad at him doesn't mean you're not allowed to appreciate eye candy. You will not let the fangirls take this away from you.
You enter the home gym that Mingyu has slowly built over the years, jaw-dropping at the sight. There he is, your boyfriend, Kim Mingyu, working out in nothing but his Calvin Klein boxers.
"What are you doing?" You ask, clearly not expecting the sight in front of you.
He sets down his weights with a grunt and then looks at you with a straight face.
"Working out," he deadpans as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"In just your boxers?" you ask, waving hands around his body to emphasise your point.
"It's a hot day today," he shrugs casually, but you can see him fighting off a smirk.
Cocky, arrogant son of a bitch.
You scoff and turn around to take your prime seat to watch him work out; you will not let him win. You pull out your phone, purposefully ignoring him (or trying to, at least). Upon noticing this, Mingyu grunts and moans even louder, trying to win your attention. And while you try your best to ignore his obnoxious sounds, you can't help but get a peek at him from your peripheral vision.
Ooh, you're drooling on sight. His muscles contract and relax every time he moves. His head's thrown back; his eyes scrunched up in concentration while his already big muscles visibly get even bigger due to the pump. Your eyes are drawn to the sweat dripping down his almost naked sculpted body and the prominent bulge straining against his boxers.
Fuck, he looks so juicy.
Your boyfriend was big everywhere, and he prides himself on it whenever he splits you open. His bulge looks so big, and he's not even fully hard yet. Gulping hard, when you notice a small wet patch on his boxers. Too bad he notices you staring and smirks.
"Like what you see, baby?" He asks with a cocky cadence to his voice.
You quickly snap out of it and scoff, remembering you're supposed to be angry at him. You go back to staring at your phone, making him chuckle. God, you wanted to wipe that smirk off his face so bad.
Then it hits you: the perfect revenge plan. You smirk to yourself as you put away your phone and start stripping down to your underwear as well.
Two can play that game, Kim Mingyu.
He's halfway through his set when he notices you. He drops the weights and turns to look at you, visibly confused.
"What're you doing, baby?"
"Like you said, it's a hot day," you shrug, mirroring his actions from earlier.
He looks with intensity as you move to unroll a yoga mat. You smirk to yourself when you hear him groan when you begin stretching and purposely manoeuvring your body into tempting yoga poses. From the corner of your eye, you can see Mingyu get more and more riled up as the poses get more and more provocative. You hear him whine by the time you’re doing the 'Cat-Cow' pose, your ass facing him. You shift to face him with a cocky smirk on your face.
"Why're you whining, Gyu?"
"I can't focus if you act like this baby," he whines.
"Like what?"
"You know what," he huffs and pouts like a child.
You shrug, then go back to doing more poses. You see him approach you with a permanent pout plastered on his face. He crouches down to your level and tries to touch you, but you quickly swat his hand away.
"Thought you were working out?"
"Baby, please," he whines, and you can almost taste the desperation in his words. This is fuelling your ego a bit too much.
"I need your help; it's becoming too painful," he strains, and you look down at his now fully hard bulge. It was huge and had you salivating, but you can't give in, not yet, at least. Not when your pettiness from earlier sets in.
"Go ask your fangirls for help," you huff and scoot away from him, sitting down on the mat.
He shifts to kneel in front of you. "Please, baby. I'm sorry. I'm yours and only yours. I promise I won't act out of line ever again. Please, please, please just touch me. It hurts so bad, baby, please," he's full-on begging at this point, and you're sure you can see tears pricking the corner of his eyes.
Something about a 6-foot-something man kneeling in front of you and begging for you to touch him makes you feel powerful. You smirk, knowing you have Mingyu exactly where you want him, desperate and needy in front of you. If he's going to act out of line, then you'll just have to put him in his place.
"You want me to touch you, Gyu?" You tilt your head and pout in faux sympathy.
"Please," he whispers, voice straining as he tries his best not to cry.
"Sit down."
You stand up, giving Mingyu room to sit on the yoga mat. He sits down with his legs outstretched on the mat. Shifting above him, you move to sit on one of his thick thighs, almost moaning at the contact.
"You're gonna sit here and take whatever I give you like a good puppy; if I catch you touching me, I won't let you finish. Okay?"
He nods frantically, desperate for anything at this point. Slowly, you start grinding against his thigh, moaning his name and holding onto his shoulders for support. He moans at the feeling of his thigh slowly getting more and more coated in your arousal. He throws his head back and grips onto the yoga mat below to prevent himself from touching you.
You lean forward and start leaving bite marks on his neck and shoulders. You make sure to bite down extra hard in places that would be visible even if he was wearing a shirt. He whimpers and groans at the feeling of your teeth digging into his skin.
"Mine," you mumble against his skin.
"Yours, only yours," he whimpers, body straining to keep still.
You start grinding on his thigh faster, determined to reach your high; Mingyu notices this and flexes his thigh, giving you more stimulation. You pant and whine out his name, getting close to the edge.
"Fuck, please cum. Cum all over my thigh, please," Mingyu whines out desperately, tipping you over the edge.
Your nails dig into his shoulders, making him hiss as you cum all over his thigh, your arousal drenching the bare skin. Resting your head against his shoulder, you take a minute to catch your breath.
"Baby, please, need you so bad. It hurts too much," he whimpers.
You look down and notice the wet patch on his boxers got bigger. You snake your hands down and cup his bulge, making him hiss.
"Yeah? It hurts?" You whisper whilst grinding your hand against his bulge, making him moan out and nod frantically.
"Please, I can't take it anymore," he whines, tears escaping his eyes.
"I don't know, Gyu; I don't think you earned it," you hum in faux pity, jutting your lips in consideration.
"No, no! Please, I'm begging you. I can't take it anymore," he cries out, desperately bucking into your hand.
"Why don't you ask your fangirls, huh? Since you seem to be more desperate to please them than me," you mock, squeezing him hard, causing him to let out a desperate sob.
"No! No, please! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! It's only you that I want. I'll be good. I promise!" He cries out, distraught clear in his eyes, with tears now streaming down his face. You can see him try so hard to restrain himself from touching you.
You smirk with satisfaction as you watch your big, beefy boyfriend break under you. You remove your hand from his bulge and move it to wipe his tears from his face.
"Oh, you poor thing," you coo, "How badly does it hurt baby?"
"It hurts so bad," he sniffs, "I need you so badly, please."
"I don't know," you hum and move to get off his lap, "You've been a bad puppy lately, and you know bad puppies get punished, right?"
His eyes widen, and his hands fly to grab your hips to prevent you from moving away from him.
"No, no, no!" He begs, "Please, don't leave! Please!" Tugging you back onto his thigh, he pleads, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I'll be good! I'll be a good puppy! I swear!"
"What did I say about touching me?" You tch, and his mouth falls open in realisation, and he quickly retracts his hands as if he's burned you.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to, please. Forgive me, please," he whimpers.
You shake your head and sigh. "I did warn you, Gyu," you sigh and stand up.
In an act of desperation, he manhandles you back onto the mat, making you lie on it. You let out a squeak as your back hits the mat.
"Fuck, I can't take it anymore," he murmurs before smashing his lips onto yours into a messy and desperate kiss. You kiss back with equal fervour, tangling your fingers in his permed hair. He starts grinding against you like a bitch in heat, letting out small whimpers and pants between the kisses.
He separates from you and quickly discards whatever remaining clothing the both of you have, throwing it to god knows where. You look down at his cock; it's thick and angry, with beads of precum dripping down it. Spreading your thighs, he aligns his tip against your entrance and starts slowly pushing in. You gasp and grab onto his shoulders; no matter how many times he fucks you, you can never get used to his huge size.
"I don't think I can go slow," he rasps. He's not even halfway in, and you already feel so full. Without warning, he slams the rest of him into you, causing you to scream out his name so loud you're sure the neighbours heard you. Your eyes roll to the back when you feel his tip kiss your cervix.
His thrusts are sloppy and erratic. Neither of you are thinking straight anymore. Your thoughts are only filled with how big he is and how good it feels being split open on his cock whilst his own thoughts are only filled with how warm you feel and how you're perfectly wrapped around him.
"S-Shit, I'm cumming," he pants out. He cums whilst moaning out your name, filling you up to the brim with his seeds. He chokes back a whine, but he doesn't stop thrusting. He snakes his hand down to your clit and starts rubbing it in circles, desperate to make you cum as well.
"Please, cum. Please cum all over me," he whines out, body shaking from overstimulation. After a few more thrusts, you cum, hard, convulsing around him. He pants and whines as you squeeze around him. After a few more clumsy thrusts, he collapses onto you.
"Gyu! You're heavy!" You whine.
"But you're so cuddly and warm," he says breathlessly as he wraps his arms around you and squeezes you, making you grumble.
"Are you still mad at me?" He looks at you with a pout.
You grin an easy smile, wrapping your legs around his waist and squeezing him, causing him to groan reflexively.
"I don't know. Maybe you should fuck me again just to be sure."

— Warm welcome
Tumblr media
Synopsis: Nothing like a warm welcome for Mingyu after a stressful day at work. Warnings: Ceo!KMG x Sugar baby!reader, cockwarming, somno, lazy sex, belly bulge, unprotected sex, creampie, very brief to barely any mention of sugar baby-ceo sugar daddy trope
The city lights brought luminance to the room, courtesy of the floor to ceiling windows in polar position with the king sized bed.
You lay in bed asleep, sprawled atop the duvet, hair messy, hands to the side, but most important, a night gown on with your pretty bracelet on your wrist, in a side sleeping position putting your ass on perfect display. You weren't under the sheets despite the cold temperature, and that could only mean one thing to Mingyu.
Due to his busy schedule, you'd granted him consent to do whatever he pleases with you wherever and whenever for as long as you show signs of consent— aka the diamond bracelet ge bought for you on your wrist. After all, it is part of your responsibility to him. Well technically.
Mingyu undoes his tie while he walks towards the bed, unbuttoning his white long sleeves as well as the buckles of his pants, then finally pulling his cock out.
Having come home from a stressful day filled with meetings and negotiations, he badly needed this release. He gave himself a few strokes before laying you on your back and lifting your night gown only up till your waist.
Immediately he was graced with the view of your bare ass, spreading it to see your pretty cunt. He leans in and peppers a few kisses along your inner thighs, giving appreciation to you for this moment, climbing up until it reaches your already glistening pussy.
His middle finger makes it's way into your cunt, a smirk etches itself onto his face when he feels you a little loose and mushy. "Such a good girl, prepping herself for me." Mingyu mutters, voice husky and evidently tired.
Pulling his finger out, he places it in his mouth, sucking it clean before taking it out to stroke his dick with his hands. He inches closer to you, knees planted on the bed as slowly taps and drags his dick between your two folds.
Not wanting to wait any longer, Mingyu roughly thrusts in, loving the way your holes takes him seamlessly without any struggle. The hours you spent size training with him bears fruit as you hug his cock perfectly. Loose enough to slide, tight enough to stay.
He moves his hips lazily, hand on your lower belly feeling the protruding bulge formed by his dick in you. Mingyu lays light feather kisses all over your body, from your neck down to your waist while he fucks your hole with a slow pace, careful not to wake you up.
If it had been any day he'd definitely already have you crying and withering underneath him. Instead he savours your warmth and presence, admiring every part of your body and thanking the higher power for your existence.
Always pliant and sweet to him no matter the hour. The thought of having a sugar baby repulsed him at first, opting to have fubus instead, but that feeling quickly went away when he met you.
The perfect balance of fluff and seduction. He loves how thankful you are and how you express your gratitude to him, and the way you always satisfy his wants and needs in a way that no money can ever buy.
A soft whimper pulls him away from his thoughts, grounding him back to face his now. Mingyu quickens his pace, fucking you in a messier way than he previously was. He could feel that he was close, he just needs his release before he could put himself to sleep.
Your mouth parts as heavy pants and sighs makes it's ways out, a soft facial expression displayed. Your body shows no signs of resisting, just taking what he gives.
Mingyu leans his body to yours, cradling your face in his hands before pressing his lips against his forehead as he cums deep inside of you. His way of lulling you back to sleep incase you'd slightly woken.
Picking you up from the bed, your body falls ontop of him, still asleep but evidently more exhausted than before. Mingyu lifts the blanket to get underneath, ensuring that it covers your whole body. All without bothering to pull out of you.
With you laying on top of him, he finally lets himself to sleep having his arms wrapped around you, cock inside you, and remnants of his actions dripping from you.
Not that neither of you minded the possible outcome from it. The penthouse was far too big for just two people anyways.

[14:33] - kim mingyu
check out my masterlist!
"on a scale of 1 to 10 how much do you love me?" mingyu asked as he watch you yet again, flip to new page on your book, your elbows supporting your body as you lay on your stomach in bed.
"0, you're annoying and you're distracting me. I need to know what happens to cassian next so please, shhhhh!" you answered as you brought your index finger up to your lips.
mingyu all but rolled his eyes, "but does cassian cook for you? clean for you? I do a lot around here you know?" he asked teasingly, his fake sarcasm through the roof. his smile reaches his eyes when he hears you bubbling with laughter.
"okay, handsome. I'm sorry. I like you a lot, maybe a good 7.5?"
"just 7.5??" he's pouting now, you can hear it.
"yes, unless you bring me food then it's a solid 9.9." you teased, your eyes not leaving your book once.
mingyu simply smiles as he lays his heavy body atop of yours, resting his head at the crook of your neck, "are you still reading a court of thorns and roses?" he asked, a simple hmm is all he got from you. "care to take a break? I made your favourite for lunch."
this seemed to have gotten your attention as you closed your book carefully, "I love you 10 out of 10 today." you giggled as you pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, hands running through his hair, "you love me 10 out of 10 everyday, you just don't know it." he said cheekily as he pulled your limp body up, "come on, let's eat."

As soon as Mingyu got home, he threw himself directly onto the bed, you spoke without lifting your head from your phone "Tiring day?" he mumbled, lifted his head from the bed and spoke pouting "Your boyfriend is tired, can't you come and give me some attention?" You found it funny how needy he was and with a smile you put your phone down and moved closer to him.
You climbed on top of Mingyu while he was lying on his back, he held your waist with his hands and finally smiled widely at the attention he was receiving from you. You moved closer to him, Mingyu's hand started to caress your hips and after a while he felt your lips on his. He moaned into your mouth with pleasure, your lips were the best thing that came after a hard and tiring day. Mingyu always moaned and whined between kisses when he was this needy, he lazily put his tongue into your mouth, brought his hand up to your skin through your clothes, you let out a small moan as his warm hands met your skin.
You both pulled back for a moment to catch your breath, Mingyu straightening up in his seat and pulling you closer to him, resting his head on your chest. Your hand immediately went to his hair and you started stroking it. Your comforting touches made him hum, his thumb stroking your skin. “I missed you so much...I thought about coming home and being in your arms all day.” You couldn’t help but laugh at his pouty tone, this was Mingyu at his sweetest, like a petulant, sweet child, his lips were pout, his puppy-dog eyes looking at you. You tilted your head slightly to look at him and gave him a smile. “I missed you too, baby, but now that you’re in my arms, there’s no need to worry hm?”
He gave you his tired smile, when his gaze dropped to your lips, you already knew what he wanted. You leaned in, kissing him slowly with passionate. He grabbed your hips and pulled you against him, biting your lower lip lightly and switched places, positioning himself on top of you. He tried not to put his weight on you too much, leaned down to your neck and after inhaling your scent that he missed for a while, his kisses started from your neck and moved up your chin. He kissed your cheek, forehead, eyelids and finally your lip. He wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his head in your neck again, staying there. You continued to caress his hair, his breath tickling your neck slightly but you didn’t say anything. When Mingyu’s breathing sounds slowed down, you realized that he was starting to fall asleep and whispered, “Baby, don’t sleep like this, change your clothes first and sleep comfortably.” he mumbled but refused to get up, you chuckled, it seemed he wasn’t even in the mood to get up so you kept quiet. Let him sleep while breathing in your scent in your arms.

“Are you fucking stupid?!?”
Silence enveloped the room as you asked in a voice laced with agitation.
It was all whispers of panic and chaos while you took in the scene in front of you, quiet and in your thoughts, but the more you thought of it, the more you got enraged.
“Do you even realise what could have happened?"
It seemed as though the wound on his chest was glaring at you as you spoke, unable to look away from it as it continued to bleed. You winced, frowning more as you shook your head.
Mingyu, on the other hand, like the true annoyance he was, blinked in surprise as he heard you cuss. It was rare you did, it was rare you talked actually, choosing to only answer in small replies.
Or maybe you just hated him because he swears he’s seen you not only talk but also laugh and giggle with Vernon and Chan, even Seungcheol!
He didn’t want to admit it before but now he can, he absolutely disliked the fact that you were more nonchalant to him than any other person. Was he the problem?
No, no negative thoughts right now. Perhaps you were just shy around him.
Right because a shy person would definitely be glaring at him with all the rage enough to just burn him with a gaze.
Who was he trying to convince? You hated him and for all he knew, he was just a nuisance in your life.
“Where’s Wonwoo?! Is Dr.Jeon not there?” You sat him down on the lounge chair in the agency building. It was supposed to mimic how an actual office building would be, hence they even did the extra and added the typical reception desk and waiting area at the ground floor.
Wonwoo? Since when were you on a first name basis with Wonwoo?
He frowned at that, he didn't want to admit it but it annoyed him just a little. Though. He did have other bigger problems right now.
Like the gash on his upper chest that was bleeding. But it seemed the adrenaline had dimmed down the pain. It felt more numb if anything.
“He-he left. I mean his shift is over there's no one—”
“How the fuck is there no other doctor on duty?! In a fucking place like this you'd expect at least one how—”
You pinched your nose and took a deep breath. You were on the verge of possibly killing someone.
Mingyu was bleeding and you needed to think.
“Seungkwan. Get me the first aid kit. Chan, go get some water. And you-”
You looked back at Mingyu in question,
“Can you walk?”
Instead of answering, he nodded curtly, not really wanting to provoke you than he already had. He knew when and where to speak up when he should. At least sometimes he did.
“Great, let's go to my room.”
[ A few moments later ]
Your office space was very…you. It was like a reflection of what he thinks you are.
Your artefacts, some polaroids with people in few and more so sceneries. It resembled a lot of you but also not enough to satisfy his curiosity. He wanted to know more.
He sat down on the sofa, a light pink coloured one, one that stood out in the monochrome room. But it was nice. It was pretty.
He also thinks you look pretty, even though you were tense, eyebrows scrunched as you cut the bandage tape precisely.
You look pretty all the time though.
“I'll need you to remove your shirt.”
Mingyu would love to hear so much from you, and wanted to hear you say so many things for him. This was one of them for sure, but definitely not in the circumstances he wishes.
“I-what? ” He chokes up, immediately sitting up from his leaned back position, one you forced him into when he came there.
You put down the bandage after you finished, looking at him with an eyebrow raised, now crossing your arms.
“How else do you want me to treat your wound?”
“You're-you’ll be treating it?”
“Does it look like there's anyone else right now who can? If you're scared, just trust me, I uh- I have experience from treating my own and others as well.”
You said it firmly because you realised the unsurety in his voice might be right. He didn't know that you knew basic first aid and actually more, it was a requirement for most agents but perhaps it was different here.
Mingyu did trust you. That wasn't what he doubted. He doubted himself, whether he'd be able to handle you touching him in any way. He's terrified he might pass out.
“Okay, now I'll need you to actually remove your shirt, I'll help if you-”
“NO!-uh no I'll do it myself.”
He immediately raised his hands and began unbuttoning, as the shirt got more loose, you focused on how the wound was.
It was a slice, not a stab luckily, so it wouldn't have caused as much damage as a stab would. But it still was damage that hurt.
He hissed in pain as his shirt moved away from his hurt chest, the wound being open to the air.
Slowly, he removed his other arm and finally got his blood soaked shirt out. He questioned where to put it without saying anything as he looked around but you just grabbed it and tossed it in the dustbin.
It was one of his favourites.
Seeing the slight pout on his face, you rolled your eyes because of course, Mingyu would find that to be an issue and not the fact that he was bleeding out.
“I'll get you another one.”
That made him look up at you, to which his eyes widened,
“Uh no I-”
“Shut up.”
You finished preparing the cotton to clean up his wound first, you turned to face him and for a brief moment you paused.
You didn't expect what was in front of you. Mingyu being shirtless was expected of course, but his toned torso and wait…were those abs??
You cleared your throat when you realised you might have been staring a little too long.
It wasn't like you weren't used to seeing people with muscular bodies or so. It was natural in your field for people to be fit.
But Mingyu. Holy shit, he looked like someone personally took their time on him.
“Uhm, okay so I'll just clean up your wound first and then disinfect it, then just bandage it up alright?”
Your voice sounded a lot less angry than before. Actually it sounded more timid if anything. It made Mingyu both shocked and curious as to why suddenly you'd seem so…nervous?
You moved to sit beside him, trying your best to not let your eyes waver more than they already have.
Unfortunately for you, fortunate for Mingyu, your eyes did wander and in fact lingered a little too long on his exposed chest. Along with his torso.
And he noticed.
And he realised.
Gulping slightly, no ordinary person would know but Mingyu did and the glint in his eyes shifted to something more confident, you raised your hand and gently began to clean the open wound.
It seemed it was not as deep as you initially thought.
Holy shit, I'm touching his chest.
You're not a teenager for goodness sake pull yourself together?!???
But his chest is buff and so- fuck. Fucking hell.
Your internal thoughts were in conflict as you cleaned up his wound, not even realising you were going over a place that was already cleaned.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed yours and you were startled out of your conflict.
“You already cleaned it enough,” Mingyu had to bite his tongue to not slip out any sort of pet names but that didn't stop the small smirk on his face from seeing your somewhat composed demeanour be a little thrown off by his sudden nakedness.
His hand holding yours made it seem like you were burning. It burned when he touched you.
And how would one react to a burn?
They'd move far away from the cause of said burn.
You pulled your hand out and stood up quickly,
“Right, right, I was just uh- making sure. I wouldn't want any infections or anything like that.”
You turned back to your first aid kit, turning your back on him and slightly shook your head.
Pull yourself together. He's just…a guy.
But was he really just any guy?
He was Kim Mingyu. The guy who caused you more stress than anything. The same guy who also would bother you a lot during missions.
And yet he was also the same guy who saved you today. You were ambushed during the mission and outnumbered.
It was you against six. You could handle them practically speaking but you also would have your attention split more than it should be. Meaning you wouldn't be prepared for a seventh guy from out of nowhere.
But Mingyu happened to be able to come there. On time too. As though he was keeping up with you despite being in another room with another problem.
What you didn't know was how quickly he made it out of that room when he heard you were ambushed. How he felt his heart drop when he heard you yelp in pain when you got attacked out of nowhere. How he couldn't actually care about the rest of the mission after that and what he cared about most was getting you out of there. Safely.
He knew perhaps it was risky to have jumped in front of you when you were going to get stabbed but darn it be him than you anytime.
Luckily you were also quick enough to make sure he wasn't actually stabbed and pushed him aside as you gained the extra hand and were able to take down the ambusher.
You were not at all happy with what he did. In fact, going as far as to not talking to him till you reached the agency because you were boiling in rage.
“You know you shouldn't have jumped in between like that.”
You said as you soaked up the cotton in hydrogen peroxide.
“But you would have gotten terribly hurt.” Mingyu frowned at your words. The doubt from before raising as to why you'd been so upset with him when he actually saved you.
“Yes but that would be my fault. I would get hurt in my own fight. I'd bleed and patch it up myself. There would be no one else hurt but me.”
You turned to face him, holding the cotton in your hand as you walked up again towards him.
“Not you who got hurt because of me. I wouldn't feel the…the guilt. You got hurt. Because of me.”
His eyes softened upon hearing your words. It made sense now. You were feeling guilty and that's why you'd been so upset. He thinks he'd feel the same too if you were to get hurt somehow because of him.
“I'm…I'm sorry I didn't think about that but I couldn't just sit back and let you get hurt knowingly, I just, I couldn't do that. Not to you.”
You sat back down to your original position, now having completely different emotions than before. But you weren't sure which you preferred because the current ones were only making you feel more worse if anything.
Lightly pressing the soaked cotton on his open wound, he hissed in pain as the alcohol came in contact with his open skin.
“It's fine Mingyu, you don't need to explain, I get it. I'd also do it. Thank you for…saving me.”
You don't need to thank me.I'd only do it for you though. I'd risk anything for you.
But instead he could only gasp in pain as you continued to clean,
“Yeah, what a time to say thank you when you're causing me only more pain.”
You rolled your eyes at his words but felt a little bad for him due to knowing the pain of hydrogen peroxide to an exposed wound.
“Oh, shut up now you big baby, this will help you.”
“Baby? Are we moving on to pet names now?”
“What??? I didn't- I didn't mean it that-”
“Oh I know, I was just messing with you.”
“You-!”
After a bit more cleaning and more arguing, you got up and grabbed the bandage.
“Now how will I wrap this?”
You questioned as you held it. He also got up, feeling a bit better but you still warned him not to move to much as the wound was not yet wrapped.
Then you got the idea of how to wrap it.
“Listen, what I'll do is wrap this around your entire chest, like the entire upper part alright? I don't have anything else besides this right now but it'll help temporarily. Tomorrow you go and get it properly dressed from Wonwoo.”
He nodded obediently and it was slightly cute as to how he almost resembled a little puppy quietly following instructions. Though you could see him getting tired from the way his eyes seemed to drift.
“I'll do it as quick as I can.”
And quickly you did, already wrapping over the wound enough,to the point Mimgyu had to tell you he felt like he couldn't breath and that's when you stopped.
No sign of blood.
You noted as you taped over the left over end part on the right side of his chest.
For this part, you were very close to him, to ensure the best precision. He was just glad it wasn't the left side of his chest or else you'd definitely feel how fast his heartbeat was going from the moment you got closer.
Mingyu likes you. Like really really likes you. You who stayed behind and treated his wound. You who felt guilty for him getting hurt for something he chose to do.
He thinks in this situation no matter how hurt he got, he was now sure about you. More specifically liking you.
“There. All done.” You patted down his chest lightly as you moved a little behind but before you could properly go, his hand out of nowhere held your own and pulled you closer.
It was unexpected so you couldn't help but stumble a bit as your eyes widened.
You were very close. Too close in fact you were sure if you moved a bit more closer, you might just end up kissing him.
It didn't seem like too bad of an idea.
“Mingyu, what are you doing?”
“I just, I want to tell you thank you for helping me out right now, properly.”
He smiled softly at you, his canines slightly peaking from beneath his closed lip smile and you swore you felt your body flush.
He lookedas handsome as he always did. Brown eyes shimmering in all sorts of emotions, lips a shade of pretty pink.
But you couldn't. You couldn't dare. Not now.
Clearing your throat, you pulled back and stepped behind, your body suddenly feeling a weird coldness from the sudden distance.
On the other hand, Minghu seemed confused. Did he push too far? He didn't mean to, he didn't want to rush anything, he just wanted to properly say thank you like actually say it and not do anything-
“It's alright. I hope you get better soon. I'll call Seungkwan to get you a shirt. You can get changed here. I'll just leave now, it's late anyways and you should to.”
“Have a goodnight agent Kim.”
Agent…Kim? Not even Mingyu?
Before he could even question your change of behaviour, you'd already moved out of your room as if you life depended on it.
As if you'd rather be anywhere but there.
As if you suddenly remembered your dislike towards him.
“Wait! Y/—”
Sighing out, in likely relief as you got out of your office, you made your way down to the lobby.
You couldn't help but feel the guilt, if not even more at how you left Mingyu just because you were a coward. Just because you didn't want to admit how he made you feel.
You couldn't do that to him. Not at this moment.
And perhaps you couldn't do that to him ever, for Kim Mingyu deserves the best.
And that was surely not you.

Love: Best Served Hot
pairing: chef! kmg x gn!reader genre: tooth-rotting fluff, established relationship, slice of life wc: 2.7k
summary: even when he’s exhausted, mingyu wants to care for you.
a/n: this was supposed to be a 300 word drabble idk what happened // i love chef mingoo!!
The door creaks open, releasing a gust of chilly air that carries with it the rich, savory aroma of sautéed garlic and fresh spices. The warm glow of the kitchen lights flicker to life as Mingyu steps inside, his cheeks flushed from the cold and his hair slightly tousled from a long shift. He kicks off his shoes, leaving them haphazardly by the door, and stretches his arms overhead, letting out a dramatic sigh that echoes through the apartment.
“Guess who’s here to save your taste buds!” he announces, though the weariness in his eyes and the slight slump of his shoulders tells a different story.
You look up from your phone, a grin spreading across your face. “Don’t you ever get tired of cooking, Gyu?” you tease, leaning back against the counter, arms crossed, the familiar warmth of the kitchen enveloping you.
He feigns offense, placing a hand on his chest as if you’ve just insulted his entire culinary career. “For you? Never. I’m making you gourmet ramen from scratch. The kind that makes you forget your ex. Trust me; it’s a glow-up for your palate.”
“You said that yesterday about the ribs,” you point out, watching him glide across the kitchen with practiced ease. The overhead lights cast a soft halo around his figure, and the way his hair flops into his eyes adds an adorable charm to his focused expression. “And the kimchi jjigae last week, and the burgers the time before that.”
“Shhhh.” He reaches around you for a cutting board, dropping a soft kiss on your lips to silence you. The warmth of his lips lingers as he pulls back, a playful spark in his eyes. “I’ve never met someone who complains so much about getting wined and dined.”
You roll your eyes, crossing your arms with a mock pout. “I’m not complaining; I’m just keeping you accountable. I need to know if your cooking is really as good as you claim.”
Mingyu laughs, a rich, warm sound that fills the kitchen and dances around you; it makes your heart sing a little, like a schoolgirl with a crush. “If you’re so worried about it, maybe you should just let me cook in peace.”
As he focuses on the task at hand, the slight sheen of sweat forming on his brow catches the kitchen's light, his movements slowing just a fraction. His fingers are steady but the small tremor in his hands gives away just how long he's been on his feet. He brushes his hair back with a frustrated tug, eyes closing briefly as if savoring a second of relief before diving back into the task. It’s in these small, unguarded moments you realize just how worn he is—the dark circles under his eyes, the set of his shoulders that normally stand so proud, now sagging ever so slightly. But even through the exhaustion, there’s a determination in him, the same kind you’ve come to recognize every time he puts your needs before his own.
“Hey,” you say, your voice softening. “Are you sure you don’t want to take a break? You’ve been on your feet for hours.”
He glances over his shoulder, a smirk playing on his lips. “And what, exactly, have you eaten today, hmm?”
“Uh…” You falter, feeling a familiar flush of embarrassment creeping in.
“Here, let me help you.” He sets down the knife and taps his foot expectantly, whisk in hand. “Knowing you, you probably just subsisted on iced lattes all day because you were too busy to get a real meal, right?”
You huff, your indignation flaring. “I’ll have you know that I had a Pop-Tart and a bag of Skittles! Those are major food groups, you know.”
Mingyu bursts into laughter, but you catch a glimpse of concern flickering behind his playful facade. “Riiiiight,” he says, amusement dancing in his eyes. “So now, you’re going to shut up and watch your gorgeous, incredibly talented, hot chef boyfriend make you a meal that has an actual vegetable in it.”
He gets like this sometimes, when he's frustrated that you don't take care of yourself. It’s been a cause for many an argument in the past—his insistence that you need to eat and your stubbornness that you know how to take care of yourself. Those conversations often swirl around the kitchen like a storm, but there’s a gentleness in the way he brushes off your concerns that tells you he cares deeply, even if he masks it with humor.
You watch him chop vegetables, let yourself get lulled into dreamlike trance with the rhythmic sound of the knife against the cutting board. He moves with precision, his brow furrowing slightly in concentration as he glances over to check your expression. His dedication tugs at your heartstrings, a reminder of how he loves: by placing food in front of you even when he’s on the brink of falling asleep standing up. You’ve learned that his love language isn’t just about the meals he makes; it’s in the way he basks in the glow of your compliments, how your smile lights up his tired eyes like a spark in the dark.
You take a step closer, your fingers absentmindedly grazing the cool countertop, the warmth of the kitchen offering little comfort against the concern gnawing at you. It’s moments like these that make your heart ache —the way he pushes himself, never stopping until he’s done taking care of everyone else, even when he should be the one resting. A small, tight knot forms in your chest as you watch him, the way his brow furrows with each precise chop, his body moving with a practiced ease that can’t fully mask the heaviness of his fatigue. You wish you could stop him, take over for once, but you know he wouldn’t allow it. Still, you try to lighten the mood.
“You know, you could just let me make dinner once in a while,” you offer, though your voice softens with unspoken worry.
He shakes his head, a grin breaking through his feigned annoyance. “And ruin my masterpiece? Never.”
The way he leans into the task, the sheer determination on his face, makes you fall in love with him a little more each day. It’s not just the food—it’s the way he pours his heart into everything he does, even when it means sacrificing his own comfort for yours. You can see it in the way his shoulders relax when you compliment his cooking, how he laughs more easily when you’re around, and how the corners of his eyes crinkle with joy when you taste something he’s prepared.
“I just want you to eat something real, not just sugar and caffeine,” he continues, a hint of worry creeping into his tone, finally letting his humorous facade fall for a second.  “I can’t have you turning into a human-sized Skittle.”
You can’t help but laugh at the image, feeling the tension of the day slip away. “I’ll have you know that I’d be a delicious  human-sized Skittle, thank you very much.”
He rolls his eyes playfully but then yawns again, the gesture drawing your concern back to the surface. “See? That right there—no more yawning until you’ve eaten something substantial, got it?”
He feigns a mock salute, but you can see the hint of exhaustion etched across his features. “Okay, okay, Captain Concerned. I promise I’ll eat something as soon as this ramen is ready. Just… give me a minute.”
You nod, the sincerity behind his words warming you. As he stirs the bubbling broth, you can’t help but admire the way his brow furrows in concentration, how he occasionally glances your way to ensure you’re still there, still watching.
“Alright, but you’d better not fall asleep in front of the stove,” you tease gently, your voice light but your heart heavy with concern.
He nods, the corners of his lips twitching into a smile. “No promises,” he retorts playfully, but the warmth in his gaze tells you that he appreciates your worry, even if he’d never admit it outright.
“Just keep your gorgeous, incredibly talented hot chef boyfriend awake, alright?” he says, a teasing lilt returning to his voice.
You can’t help but smile, feeling your affection for him grow in the warmth of the kitchen, surrounded by the scents of his hard work. “Deal. But you’d better make that ramen quick, or I might just have to find a way to fuel you with caffeine and Skittles.”
The kitchen hums with quiet, the only sounds coming from the bubbling broth and the soft scrape of Mingyu’s knife on the cutting board. You don’t need to fill the space with conversation; just being there, your silent presence, is enough. It’s always been enough for him. After a long day of being barked at on the line, of rushing orders and chaos, this is what he craves—your calm support, your quiet companionship. You don’t need to ask him how his day was; the tension in his shoulders, the way he brushes his hair back in frustration, tells you everything.
You watch as he works, each movement slow but precise, his exhaustion barely hidden beneath the surface. And still, even in his fatigue, there’s a quiet grace in how he prepares your meal—chopping vegetables, whisking broth, his fingers moving with the kind of ease that only comes from years of practice. He flicks the pan to stir the ingredients and adds garnish with a flourish—and looks over at you for validation.
Even though you’ve seen him do this hundreds of times, you still smile when he meets your eyes.  It’s a dance you’ve perfected: him cooking, you watching, the back-and-forth that fills the space between you. It’s more than just food—it's the way he pours himself into each meal, hoping to see that spark of happiness in your eyes, that subtle nod of approval that tells him, once again, that he's done well, that you love what he’s made. And it never fails—you always smile, and in that moment, it’s like he’s won an award.
“That was slick,” you murmur with a grin, watching his tired eyes light up like you’ve just given him a standing ovation.
In return, he leans in to press a kiss to your forehead, gentle and warm. “Only for you,” he whispers, but you know it’s true. It’s in the way he offers you spoonfuls of broth to taste, holding the spoon up to your lips, watching carefully for your reaction. When you hum in satisfaction, the tension in his shoulders eases, his tiredness momentarily forgotten.
Every compliment you give is met with a kiss—sometimes on your lips, sometimes on your nose, sometimes just a gentle press to your forehead. You know that this is his love language, this silent back-and-forth of care, and it’s how you love him, too. Just being here, watching him, letting him unwind at his own pace. You don’t need to talk for him to know you’re there, supporting him. He knows you’re here, watching him, feeling the weight of his exhaustion, without needing to say it. It’s in the way you linger nearby, always close but never overbearing, allowing him to move at his own pace. Sometimes, just your presence is enough to ease the weight of the world on his shoulders, the sound of your breathing in sync with his, the gentle hum of the kitchen filling the gaps.
You sit at the counter, content to let him work in silence, knowing he’ll fuss if you hover too much. But, true to form, he turns around every now and then, his eyes narrowing like he’s assessing the situation. “You’re going to eat, too, right? Not just stare at me?”
“Obviously,” you tease, though the warmth in your chest says otherwise. He’s tired, you can see it in the way he brushes his hair back, but still, his concern is always you—making sure you’ve eaten something other than sugar and caffeine all day. “I had a Pop-Tart, remember? And Skittles,” you add.
He rolls his eyes, not even trying to hide his amusement. “Yes, of course, the epitome of gourmet food. You need actual food, not whatever sugar rush you’ve been riding on.” There’s a playful tilt to his voice, but beneath it, the care is genuine, the worry etched into his furrowed brow. He doesn’t have to say it, but you can feel it in every movement, in the way he insists on feeding you something real, even when he’s on the brink of exhaustion.
When the ramen is finally done, the kitchen smells like a cozy hug, and he brings the steaming bowl over with a satisfied smile, his usual swagger dimmed slightly by the long hours he's endured. But instead of sitting down at the table, you slide onto his lap. His arms wrap around your waist without hesitation, pulling you closer, his body melting against yours in a sigh that carries all the weight of the day. You can feel the tension leave his shoulders, the stress ebbing away as you press yourself against him.
“Eat,baby,” he murmurs, pushing the bowl toward you. But when you don’t immediately take a bite, he reaches for the chopsticks, bringing the noodles to your lips himself.
You chuckle softly, but he’s serious, his eyes fixed on you as you take the first bite. “Good?” he asks, as if he isn’t already sure of the answer.
You nod, chewing slowly, savoring the warmth that spreads through you. “Perfect.”
Satisfied, he presses a kiss to your shoulder, but before he can relax completely, you grab the chopsticks from his hand and lift a bite of ramen to his lips. “Your turn,” you say, watching as his expression softens.
He laughs under his breath but doesn’t protest, taking the bite with a small nod of approval. “Good,” he hums, his voice lower now, sleepier. But as tired as he is, he still won’t stop fussing, making sure you take another bite, and another, before he lets himself have one too.
The silence between you is comfortable, filled only by the occasional murmur of approval or the clink of chopsticks against the bowl. Every time you compliment the ramen, he preens a little, leaning in to press another kiss to your cheek, your nose, your lips. And with every bite, you fall a little more in love—not with the food, but with him, with the way he cares for you in the smallest, quietest ways. Even when he’s exhausted, even when he should be the one resting, he’s still making sure you’re taken care of, that you’ve eaten, that you’re loved. And that’s how you know he loves you—because he can’t help but put you first, even when his eyes are heavy with sleep.
You sit there, nestled in his lap, feeding him and being fed, the two of you wrapped up in the warmth of the kitchen. This is how you love him—by just being here, letting him rest in the silence, your presence enough to soothe him after a long day. And in return, his way of loving you is by feeding you, taking care of you even when he’s exhausted. No words are needed; the quiet between you speaks volumes.
“You don’t have to always do this, you know,” you whisper, your fingers gently tracing the edge of the bowl. The ramen is long gone, and he’s running his fingers up your arm, goosebumps erupting in their wake. “Take care of me, I mean.”
Mingyu’s chuckle rumbles in his chest, the vibration sending a warm ripple through your body. “It’s not about having to. I want to,” he says simply, his voice low and sincere. “Besides, you’re terrible at taking care of yourself. Someone has to make sure you eat.”
You can’t help but laugh, even though you feel a lump forming in your throat. His love is always like this—quiet, unspoken, wrapped in the warmth of small actions rather than big words. It’s in the way he insists on feeding you, the way he pulls you closer when he’s tired but still makes sure you’re taken care of.
“I love you,” you whisper, almost instinctively, the words slipping out before you even realize.
He doesn’t respond right away, but you can feel his grip tighten ever so slightly, his arms drawing you closer as if he’s pulling you into the very core of him. Then, softly, so softly you almost miss it, he presses a kiss to your hair and murmurs, “I love you, too.”

[🩷] mingyu realized he had fallen in love, despite never having exchanged a single word with you
like a flash, you passed by mingyu, leaving in the air the unique and striking scent of jasmine and sandalwood, which made his heart race. your destination was a smiling seokmin, who stood with open arms, eager to hug you. finally, you nestled into your brother's embrace, one you hadn't felt in years. the warmth and firmness of his hug were like a safe harbor, and you felt a wave of relief and happiness.
because you and seokmin didn't share the same mother, various circumstances had made you grow up apart, but you always got along well, even from a distance. you and seokmin were alike in many ways. just like him, you were captivating. a mere sprint to your brother was enough to capture mingyu's heart.
of course, he knew of your existence. seokmin talked about you all the time, especially in recent weeks. but mingyu could never have imagined that someone with such an enchanting smile and captivating laugh existed.
"i know you guys already know, but, well, this is my sister," seokmin introduced you to the members who were there.
"hello, everyone," you responded shyly, with your bright, mesmerizing eyes – at least for mingyu.
"we're finally meeting y/n," seungkwan commented excitedly. you laughed softly.
"how was the flight?" your brother asked, gently pinching your cheeks, his smile stretching from ear to ear.
"it was fine, i slept the whole way," you replied, looking up to meet your brother's eyes.
mingyu couldn't take his eyes off you. every word that left your mouth, every gesture you made, seemed to enchant him even more. the shyness you displayed only made the experience more adorable in his eyes.
"do you have a lot of stories together?" hoshi asked, as curious as ever.
"actually, not many," you replied with a shy smile. "we grew up apart, so we didn't have many opportunities to make memories together. but i used to visit the grandparents often."
"i see," said seungkwan, interested. "and how is it finally being here with him now?"
"it's incredible," you responded, looking at seokmin with affection. "we've always gotten along well, even from a distance. now, being here in person is really special."
seokmin smiled, clearly happy to have you there. "now we can finally make new memories together."
mingyu watched everything, enchanted. he loved hearing your voice, the way your eyes sparkled when you talked about your relationship with seokmin, the natural interaction between the two of you. he knew he was falling in love, even without having exchanged a direct word with you.
the other members continued to ask questions, each wanting to know more about you. mingyu was happy to stay in the background, absorbing everything. he felt blessed to hear your voice, to see your smiles and laughs. each moment made his heart beat a little faster.
as the evening progressed, seokmin suggested that everyone move to the living room to relax. the house of seokmin's paternal grandparents was cozy, full of memories and old stories. dark wooden furniture, soft rugs, and family pictures on the walls created a nostalgic and welcoming atmosphere. seokmin's grandmother appeared in the room with a tray of fresh cookies and a warm smile.
"these cookies are y/n's favorites," she announced proudly. "i made them especially for her."
"halmoni, you're the best!" you exclaimed, grabbing a cookie and taking a bite. "always the best cookies in the world!"
seokmin's grandfather entered the room next, carrying an old photo album.
"we have to show the childhood photos," he said enthusiastically. "y/n, you were the cutest child!"
you blushed slightly but accepted the album with a smile. sitting on the couch next to seokmin, you began to flip through the pages, showing the old photos.
"unfortunately, i don't have many pictures with seokmin since we grew up apart," you explained, showing some photos of you with the grandparents. "but i always loved visiting here and hearing their stories."
"there's one here that's one of my favorites," said the grandmother, pointing to a photo of you with a giant hat, laughing next to a cute cat. "she always did funny things like that."
"you and seokmin are alike in that aspect," added the grandfather, laughing. "always doing funny things and bringing joy to everyone."
everyone laughed at the photo, including mingyu, who was enchanted by every detail.
the night continued with many laughs and funny stories. mingyu watched you all the time, taken by your interaction with the elders in the house and the way you made everyone laugh. he knew he needed to find the courage to talk to you directly, but for now, he was content just to admire from afar.
the hours passed, and everyone felt at own house. in the center of the room, you, seungkwan, and seokmin danced with the grandparents, laughing and having fun. the music filled the atmosphere with joy and nostalgia, and everyone was delighted with the night's energy.
at one moment during the dance, while you twirled happily with the grandfather, your foot hit one of the photo albums on the floor. before you could realize it, you lost your balance and started to fall. luckily, mingyu had been watching your every move, and in the blink of an eye, he was by your side, holding you firmly.
"wow, careful!" mingyu said, with a worried smile. "are you okay?"
you looked at him, feeling the warmth of his hands on your arms, and smiled shyly. "yes, thank you, mingyu. i guess i got too excited."
seungkwan and seokmin, seeing the scene, started laughing, as did the grandparents. "always doing funny things, y/n!" seokmin joked, winking at you.
it was then that seokmin's grandmother, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, commented loudly: "y/n and mingyu make a beautiful couple, don't you think?" everyone in the room paused for a moment, and an immediate blush took over your faces. mingyu turned even redder when seokmin's grandmother asked, "mingyu, are you single?"
the room exploded in laughter and teasing while mingyu, embarrassed, tried to respond. "yes, i am single, halmoni."
"great!" said the grandmother, winking at you. "you two seem to get along very well."
you laughed, still feeling the heat in your cheeks, but something inside you knew that seokmin's grandmother might be right. mingyu smiled at you, and for a moment, it felt like only the two of you were in the room.

[17:26] 'and so she was like 'if you're going to talk shit about someone, at least wait until they're in the elevator, you stupid b-''
mingyu hurriedly pressed a finger to his lips to shush you and tugged you by the sleeve, silently begging you to sit back down. your eyes widened and a group of college students sitting nearby gave you the stank eye as you sheepishly sat back down in your seat.
'sorry, i think i got a little too...'
'i think so too, bubbles. i love spilling tea with you, but maybe lower your voice, yeah? i don't wanna get kicked out and blacklisted from our favorite coffee shop.' mingyu smiled at your shy giggle.
'oops'
'anyway, continue your story, my love'
as you began to excitedly recall the story of how your coworker's girlfriend cut off two toxic people from her life, mingyu intently watched you move your hands animatedly, acting out little gestures from the conversation, and the small changes in your facial expressions.
'it was crazy. in the end, the two assholes had to pay the extra fees for the damage to their hotel room and cassie got away scott free, maybe except for the fistful of hair she's never getting back. i've been praying for her hair follicles every night. the end'
mingyu nodded. 'wow, that's crazy. and what does dylan think of this entire situation?'
you shoved another slice of the blueberry muffin into your mouth and spoke through the crumbs. 'he hates both of those assholes. never liked them from the start. he told me it took them 26 pep talks to convince cassie to confront those poo poo heads. he's glad she finally took the initiative'
your fiance reached over and brushed away a stray crumb in the corner of your mouth. 'and what do you think, sunshine?'
'i like cassie, so good for her! they were actually horrible to her. like they both wore white to her sister's wedding! are they insane? if i was there, i totally would've accidentally 'tripped' and 'spilled' red wine all over their dresses. what a bunch of assholes'
he chuckled. 'and then i would've been your getaway driver, right?'
you smiled at him. 'duh, obviously. you're my ride or die, pookie wookie cookie bear'
mingyu choked on the drink he was drinking and reached for a napkin. 'pookie wookie cookie bear?'
'whatttt it's cute! you're my pookie wookie cookie bear' you giggled and rested your head atop both your hands and gazed at your fiance lovingly. he stared at you back with a slight tilt to his head, his eyes silently asking what was wrong.
'i like talking with you, gyu, you know that?'
mingyu coughed. 'well, i'd hope so, because we're getting married in less than 3 months'
'you match my energy so well. i think we were made for each other' you smiled at him and mingyu's lips started to smile before he slammed his hands down on the table with an urgent look in his eyes.
'oh my god did i tell you about my landlord having a mistress'
'NO. TELL ME RIGHT NOW. OMFG.'

⦗💌 ⦘ mingyu loves his two girls to death. even if he gets bullied by them on a daily basis.
Tumblr media
“daddy! daddy look!” a comically small hand grabbed the hem of mingyu’s jumper, and pulled at it. with a small smirk (that obviously went unnoticed by the carbon copy of his wife because according to her he was a giant), mingyu turned his head towards the sky, just to tease the little girl.
“mommy!” she whined, wrapping both of her arms around mingyu’s legs, “daddy is ignoring me again!”
you sighed, and shook your head. what was supposed to be a nice post-dinner stroll around the neighbourhood turned into the usual - mingyu teasing your little girl with no end, because a minute of peace was too much for him. at least bopul was behaving himself.
but then an idea struck you. mingyu could tease you and your daughter as much as he wished, but you both had him wrapped around your little fingers, and there wasn’t much you had to do to leave your husband pouty and sulky. you crouched in front of your little girl, and tucked her hair behind her ear. “tell daddy no kisses for a week. and no pre-bedtime cuddles,” you whispered, and kissed her cheek gently.
she nodded vigorously, matching your bright smile. a lot of people told you she looked exactly like you (except for mingyu’s eyes, and the little mole on her nose), but her personality had to be even more similar to yours. making mingyu suffer had to be one of her favourite things as well.
“kim mingyu,” she said, tilting her head towards the sky. “up,” she added and put her hands up, something she did whenever she wanted mingyu to carry her.
“gosh, when did you become so bossy, hm?” he cooed at her, but the little girl didn’t fall for her dad's sudden change of heart.
“mommy is bossy, and i want to be like mommy,” she said as a matter of fact, like that didn’t just make your heart burst with love. “besides , that’s not the point,” she took mingyu’s face in her tiny hands, “no kisses, and no pre-bedtime cuddles for you, daddy.”
you had to stifle a laugh, as the corners of your husband’s mouth momentarily turned down. “w-what do mean no-”
“no, daddy. you were being mean to me,” your daughter smushed his cheeks in between her hands. “and,” she leaned into mingyu’s ear, “you won’t get any kisses from mommy either. she’s angry too.”
mingyu looked over his daughter's shoulder and sent you a pleading look. "i was just joking," he said, the slight pout evident in his voice. your little girl giggled and snuggled into her daddy's neck, making mingyu tighten his embrace around her. "girls, please."
“not this time, kim mingyu,” you smiled and walked over to your daughter and husband. "us girls have to stick together, right honey?" you rubbed the girl's cheek, making her laugh even more.
"yes, mommy," she said and nodded eagerly.
mingyu sighed and shook his head in resignation. if it was anyone else he’d keep fighting just to strike their nerve even more, but when he looked down at you smiling fondly at your little bundle of love and chaos that he was holding in his arms, mingyu didn’t have it in him to keep teasing his daughter.
“i love you two so much, you know” he said. “and if you won’t give me kisses, then you can be damn sure i will.”
“words min-,”
“oh shut up,” he said, and wrapped his free arm around your waist to pull you to his chest.
