A/N: This is a Yandere Red Hair crew x Reader. No there is no romance with the crew since this is a platonic yandere story.The Theory of Shanks being a villain was in my head when i wrote this. Annd WATCH ONE PIECE FILM: RED, before readind this.

Imagine you are Shanks' biological daughter/child and is also a Mage, but he favors Uta more and isn't afraid to show it. Uta was top priority no matter what, from getting gifts to your fathers love, you only got the leftovers. You can sing? Uta can do much better, You dance? Uta dances like a pro. You can play instruments? Ha... Uta can do it with her eyes closed. That's how your life has been, secondary to Uta. You gave up anything related to music even though you love it with your whole heart. You started studying medicine under Benn. But you forgot you were a special child......... A Mage.

You lost control once, destroying almost a whole town. What did Shanks do? Nothing... At the age of 7, you had a bounty on your head. But when Uta destroyed a town at 6, He took the blame so she can have a normal life... Why can't you have the same treatment? You confronted him and what did he do, he dismissed you like always. After she left you finally thought they no He would acknowledge you. But how wrong you were. You had enough and that was the last time you called Shanks "Dad". You saw Benn as more of a father figure than your own father, everyone still doted on Uta. Having pics and videos of he but none of you....

You grew up just fine. But one day everything changed, Portegus D Ace, or Fire fist Ace had came to the island where you and Shanks's crew were staying. Why? To thank Shanks for saving his little brother Luffy. You and Ace instantly clicked for some reason even though you both have nothing in common, but Ace was funny and made you feel safe and mattered. You made your decision to leave with him, you packed a few essentials and wrote a letter to everyone instead of saying it to their face that you were leaving. In your small bag you kept you medicinal journals, first aid kit, few pairs of cloths and underwears. Your sword on your waist with the staff that you brought and modified to your liking.

Your adventures with Ace were amazing, you both fell for each other, confessed in the stary night. About 2 months later he proposed, you obviously said yes. You met Whitebeard and his crew, they accepted you as their own. You wedding was held on the ship where Whitebeard literally held you like thumblina due to the size difference. After your wedding, Thatch was hurt badly but with your help, he was able to make a full recovory. Ace was adament on going after Teach, and you wanted to accompany him. He refused saying it was too dangerous, but you were firm so he didn't exactly have a choice.

You guys left together, and even met his little brother Luffy in Alabasta. The fight with Teach caused both of you to be captured, and in line for the execution. Ace was worried, not about him, but about you. How could he have put you in danger when he was supposed to protect you? He should have knocked you out before leaving. Now you suffer with him..

Luffy and others came to help, but...... Ace died..... You tried to heal him but due to the malnourishment and lack of mana, you couldn't. You held him close crying, begging the God above, just once, just this once allow you to defy reality. But your begging was left unanswered..... You didn't move from the spot and awaited your death by the hand of the Admiral but Koby steped in front of you, your soft voice telling him its okay and he could move but he didn't, he couldn't.

Shanks arrived to your utter surprise, saved Koby and you. He looked at you expecting a reaction but you were too busy mourning the death of your husband. Benn was the one who was finally able to calm you down, and make you stop hugging Ace since they need to Burry him. You let go.... You had to. The Red Hair pirates took you to their ship, Red Force, and in your old room. They laid you there since you had gone numb, they closed the door on their way out, telling you to call them if you need anything.

The only thing that was going through your mind was, to burn that goddamn place down, the place that took away your Husband, Love, and Your Will to Live. After Luffy's anouncement, you did exactly that, Burned that shit to the ground. The Red Hair crew were finally treating you better and soon enough you let your guard down. But all good things come to an end don't they?

Shanks had brought a girl, who looked like she was about 16-17 years old, and severely malnourished. He told everyone how this girl, who introduced herself as Rina, was sold at a brothel and he had to do some thing, so he bought her and decided to adopt her as his daughter. You thought nothing would change, but she stared showing her true colours (atleast Uta didn't try to take something which was yours, so she was tolerable). She started making comments about your stuff and how she would love to have things like that, in front of everyone, so they (the crew) would ask you to give it to her. If you refused, she would play the victim until you gave in.

She crossed a line one day by asking you to give her your ring.... Your WEDDING RING. You bluntly refused, she played the victim again, but this time you Refused to the whole crew. Saying she won't be getting this ring. When guilt tripping didn't work, they tried to coax you. You told them to cut the bullshit and this ring will stay with you forever. Shanks got mad and told you to give the ring to Rina since its just a ring and he can buy you another one. You shouted at him telling him to by Rina the new ring, instead of you. This turned into a shouting match and Shanks tried to intimidate you by using his conqueror's haki, but he forgot you also learnt it and from him.

Finally you said that if He could answer 3 of the questions you ask him, correctly, Rina can have your ring. The 3 questions were "When was your birthday?" " What your age was?" and last " What was your marital status?" He repiled, "1st October" , " 18 years old" and "Single". He was so confident that he asked for the rings. But you started laughing hysterically to the point tears were forming in your eyes, this caused everyone to be confused. Why are you laughing? You told him that all 3 questions were wrong and You weren't Uta, since it her information he gave you. He was about to argue but you told him Your birthday was on (your birthdate), you were 20 years old and now a widow. Your eyes were cold and numb, without a spark. A broken 'What' came out of thew whole crews mouth. You gave them the fakest smile and then went to your room, leaving everyone to process the information. Okay they may have gotten your birthdate and age wrong, but you were a Widow?

When they finally processed everything and wanted answers they saw you, with a bag on your shoulder and going to get a small boat. They asked you where you were going. And you replied, "where I won't see your face." Just as you wee about to get in the boat you heard gunshots. Yassop had shot the boat.....Bitch . You looked unfazed and just used a levitating spell, over the year, you had goten good at controling your mana, so it wasn't a problem for you to cast precise spells anymore. Just as you wee about to take off, Shanks grabbed your wrist and threw you on the floor ( having no choice) and asked you, who your husband was. Looking directly in his Eyes, you said a name that made their blood run cold... Portgas D. Ace. The man who died in your arms.... was your Husband. It made sense, it made so much sense about why you weren't letting go of him when they wanted to burry his body.

You Suffered So much ALONE.

Just as Rina opened her mouth again, about the ring. Benn shot her while Shanks beheaded her. The blood splattered everywhere, even on you face. The cold look in Shanks eyes when he looked at the dead body, TERRIFIED you. You screamed causing shanks to look at you. He cooed at you while wiping the blood from your face and picking you up, like a baby. Whispering and cooing about how sorry he was to have done this to you. And how he will make it better. He was looking at you like you were 5. You on the other hand were frozen in fear.

Your flight or fright reflex activated and you kicked him and in the split second of surprise, where he loosened his grip. You flew, faster then ever before. You had to get away. What if you were next who would die by his hands. When you were high enough, You scremed telling him not to look for you. And then Teleported, you forgot you could do that due to the overwhelming fear because YOU KNEW what he was capable of...

But Shanks couldn't do that. You were His Daughter, His little girl. You would be in danger out there in the New World without him. You Said you Joined Luffy, didn't you?

I guess Shanks will have to pay him a visit.

• Hefting his drill, D-16 sidesteps out of the way of a much bigger, cogged bot. The other not even sparing him a glance. Not even seeing him, because miners are barely above drones in their optics. But what he’s doing matters even if they don’t see him. There’s energon because of him and the others, risking their lives to make sure there are no shortages. That no one goes wanting. And if they cut his rations again? It’s because it was needed elsewhere. Cogless bots are smaller, need less even if there’s a vague dissatisfaction he has to keep pushing down.

• Listening to the chatter around you and sipping at the one glass of champagne they’d allowed you, there’s a nervous tension threading through you that’s part anticipation and part, mostly, anxiety. You pick at the steak they’d put in front of you, surrounded by other dishes, caviar, lobster, things so far out of your budget they’re a treat. If you had any appetite. You keep thinking this is likely a last meal and of the six other team members for the first jaunt, only one is tearing into the food. Everyone else as jittery as you are. But most of the drones have come back just fine. They’d captured staticky, conflicting images of a green world, a glittering city, and more. The gate unstable and shifting, but the scientists think they’ve figured out the intervals it swaps to a new location. That your team will be able to step through, take samples and step back out.

• Waiting for Orion and the others to fall into recharge, he heads to the roof of the dorm assigned to miners and tips his face up to the glittering, dizzying beauty of Iacon. Watches a flight capable Cybertronian streak by and wonders what that’s like. To be so free. Orion is the dreamer, though. Always has been. While he’s the realist. Knows that’s not meant for them. “I matter,” he whispers, voice lost in the noise of the city humming around him. Because he needs to believe that. To be satisfied.

In case they couldn’t walk back through on their own.

• “Hold,” calls a voice, almost painfully loud inside the helmet as feedback squeals in your ear. “We’ve got a power fluctuation.” And you feel it when the gate shifts, like a hook sank into your gut, tugging at you. Stumbling back a step as power arcs off the gate. Is this normal? There’s a klaxon screaming and your heart drops. Barely hear someone yelling ‘abort’ when the first person breaks and tries to run. The concrete floor under your feet buckling and cracking and you fall, sliding toward that miasma. Someone’s screaming and it might be you. Grabbing at your tether as you slide and someone else falls on you and you both hit that churning surface.

• Venting tiredly, he turns to go back down and get some recharge and feels a soft thump against his ped. And- what is that? A mini-con? A tiny, little bot with a domed, silvery head trailing a severed cable behind it. And it’s soft when he bends to nudge it with a servo. “You okay, buddy?” Head lifting to look for a transport, for any sign of where you’d come from. Knows the wealthy sometimes keep mini-cons as companions, but that tether? Had you run away? Being kept against your will? Denta gritting, he scoops you up and carries you down with him into the dorms. If you are a runaway, it’s none of his business, but mini-cons aren’t pets. No bot should be chained. But hiding you is only going to cause him problems if your keeper comes looking for you. Still, he can’t just ignore you. Can’t pretend he doesn’t see you, because he knows too well what that’s like.

When the Community Council played the game, in the working version they played, it sounds like when the 'no dying' mode was turned on, when the player's health gets low the screen turns red (but you don't then die, of course) [source]

After the gameplay reveal video, Solas essentially gets trapped in the new prison he was trying to build for Ghil and Elgar'nan. "I don't think they explain it well in the [GI cover] article what happens, like, lore-wise, like how this connection between Solas and Rook one, works, and then two, like, how it's done. [...] From that [Community Council participation and talking to devs], I have a better understanding of this link, and I do think the explanation given [in-game] is good, and is satisfying to me. They're just not explaining it well in the article, I do think they give a better reason in the game"[source]

Caitie shared that she doesn't know why marketing for the game keeps saying/trying to say that Rook isn't a Chosen One as a talking point. "Maybe [Rook] wasn't chosen, [they] just happened to be there, but now there is a connection there, like [they] can't just leave, [they] have that strange Solas connection that nobody else has". "In this game Rook was just at the wrong place at the wrong time, or right place right time, depending on how you look at it, and it could have been anyone in that scene, that's kind've what they're trying to say" [source]

the look this season is “divalicious barbie.” voluminous hair, tapered square nails and fur details + neutral color palettes. add in a few pops of pink and some sparkly detailz and you got my look this fall. “sexy chic.” i’ve been really leaning into the vibe of a runway supermodel diva emulsion. as you may have seen, my birthday outfit drew from many inspirations, focally the early nineties alaia runway shows. just immense glamour, class and girliness with a healthy dose of sexy.

So, I went to a game store, and I asked if there were any good beginner games for someone who tried the DnD Essentials Kit and found it too complicated, and you'll never guess what one singular game they suggested!

THEME: Simpler Games than DND.

My friend, I’m not a very good guesser, but I hope that I am able to present you with some games that will give you what you’re looking for.

24XX: Chaos Unit, by polyhedralmice

Deep under the busy streets of Sapien City is the headquarters of the Vermin Squad, the espionage wing of a secret organization of urban animals known as the CHAOS Unit. They capitalize on the fact that vermin are virtually invisible human inhabitants of the city and use they use their street smarts to run vital missions for the unit. Raccoons, opossums, pigeons and squirrels each play specific roles and together form teams that take on the most vital of missions. From intercepting life-saving pizza orders to rescuing their colleagues from the dastardly Animal Control, there is no task too daunting for the brave animals of the Vermin Squad. Every night teams are sent out on their missions, and this is the story of one of those teams. Nothing will stop these brave agents from successfully completing their tasks (except maybe a humane trap baited with peanut butter). 

CHAOS Unit is a spy themed hack based on Jason Tocci’s 24XX.

24XX games are great for groups that love different-sided dice. In general, you only have a few skills for your character that are outside the normal parameters (upgraded to d8 - d12), and the success threshold is the same for pretty much every roll. The challenges and situations of any given scenario are typically presented as roll tables, allowing the GM to come up with an adventure just by rolling a few dice.

CHAOS Unit has just a few character options, some simple gear options, and a comparatively light-hearted premise. It’s a great introduction to the system, and learning how to play one 24XX game makes every other 24XX game a piece of cake to learn, even if they include new rules.

Loot, by Gila RPGs.

LOOT is a fantasy TTRPG by Gila RPGs that combines looter shooter mechanics with west marches vibes. When a rebellion toppled a lich overlord and torn down his city, the people were left with a lot of loot, and a lot of problems. That's where you come in.

Get some friends together, fight some monsters, deck your characters out in cool loot. Do it all over again.

Even though LUMEN uses grid-based combat, your character’s stats are simplified, reduced to a few things: health, armour, and three action types: force, flow & focus. Your stats themselves come from the items that your carry - your loot.

Your loot is organized through slots on your character sheet: you can only carry so much, so you’ll have to think carefully about what kind of stat bonuses and abilities you want. I find that a visual inventory can make it easier to keep track of everything you have, and can help some players learn how to think strategically. If you like the fantasy and strategy that exists in D&D but don’t want to do nearly as much math, you might be interested in LOOT - although the lack of dice is certainly a big change.

Slugblaster, by Wilkie’s Candy Lab.

In the small town of Hillview, teenage hoverboarders sneak into other dimensions to explore, film tricks, go viral, and get away from the problems at home. It’s dangerous. It’s stupid. It’s got parent groups in a panic. And it’s the coolest thing ever.

This is Slugblaster. A table-top rpg about teenagehood, giant bugs, circuit-bent rayguns, and trying to be cool.

Forged in the Dark games can be tricky to introduce to a new table, but Slugblaster is one of a few that I think can do the job. It’s a streamlined version of the system, that takes away a lot of the crunch that comes from Stats, Position, and Effect, and boils it all down to Kick and Boost. It also streamlines harm into 2 levels of slams, and keeps stress and downtime to a procedure that you can follow step-by-step when you finish a run. Finally character creation is very easy: you only make few choices in terms of abilities, and many of these choices are descriptive, rather than mechanical.

One thing I’ve noticed about games with “simpler” rules systems is that they typically do require a bunch of improv, which can be scary for new GMs. Slugblaster isn’t that different in this regard, but it does have a few things you as a GM can prepare beforehand if you want to make things easier for yourself. For example, you can set up your map of the different dimensions beforehand, including the doorways that the teens can get through. If you know that the teens get back to your home dimension without going through Operablum, then you can prepare a few location - specific threats to confound the teens as they try to get back in time for dinner.

Another strength of these games is that typically, if a player wants to do something, they just have to be able to describe how they’d do it - you can then work backwards using the gear & resources on your sheet to give you some dice to roll, as well as the logic of the game world, to figure out what happens next.

Lady Blackbird, by John Harper

Lady Blackbird is on the run from an arranged marriage to Count Carlowe. She hired a smuggler skyship, The Owl, to take her from her palace on the Imperial world of Ilysium to the far reaches of the Remnants, so she could be with her once secret lover: the pirate king Uriah Flint.

Lady Blackbird is the first game I ever played, and it’s a game I fell for - hard. It involves rolling pools of dice that you pull from descriptive collections of tags assigned to pre-generated characters. It simplifies game-play by taking away the step of character creation, and gives the group a pretty solid story to pick up and follow wherever your heart may lead.

While the rules of the game are fairly simple, I think that as a GM, you’re going to need to be comfortable with a fair bit of improv to make this work. The game has some excellent pieces of advice on how to come up with scenes for the characters, and even includes some example complications to throw at the party. I’m really glad this was my first game because from the beginning, it affirmed that roleplaying games are a communal experience, and even if the characters and the starting scenario are already written for the group, the players have a lot of freedom to decide who their characters are, and what they’re going to value.

LIMINAL HORROR is a rules-lite, adaptable Survival-Horror roleplaying game about normal characters and their struggles against the things that go bump in the night. The game focuses on surviving the weird and Investigating horrors while blending simple, old-school inspired rules with modern, narrative first principles. Survival is not guaranteed and those that do make it through the night are often forever changed.

In Liminal Horror, character creation is rather quick, often easily generated using a few dice rolls. For most tasks, your characters will roll a d20 and try to get a number lower than one of their three stats, so when you get started, teaching the game should be pretty simple. Of course, since it’s a horror game, there’s more than just trying to roll under a stat: characters will find themselves subject to the consequences of being exposed to horrors that are far beyond the limits of human experience. As a result, characters will find themselves dealing with two different kinds of harm: stress & fallout. These two harm systems will make the stakes feel real, and they’ll also inflict changes on your characters as you play.

Liminal Horror has a few things going for it. The basic rules are fairly straightforward, but they’re also free. The game is meant to be paired with pre-written adventures, which often include place descriptions, NPCs, and adventure-specific consequences to torture the characters with. A lot of the adventures available come with a price tag, but if you want to try out the system, there’s a couple of free ones out there - I recommend Messenger National Park, by capacityforwonder.

For the Ship And Its Crew, by Adeline Fowl Games.

We've crewed this Ship for years together. We've seen wondrous sights, gotten ourselves into seemingly insurmountable trouble, and have owed our fair share of creds to the wrong people. And yet, still, we fly. But after all these years, our past may be catching up with us. As the missiles tear across starlit space, we'll be forced to ask ourselves: What will we do, for the Ship and its Crew?

This is a hack of For the Queen, which mostly involves answering prompts, using something like a card deck, or in this case, a digital hosting service. Your group is telling a story by taking turns answering questions, which makes the game fairly easy to teach, even to people who don’t have a lot of roleplaying experience.

These kinds of games can also be played very quickly, which might also make it easier to introduce to folks who aren’t used to sitting around a grid and calculating resources for 2+ hours.

Would you be down to write a piece where Klaus is married to a human doctor or nurse and every time he comes back after a fight and is wounded, reader patches him up. And Klaus is like u know I heal. And she’s like shut up and sit. Klaus smirks and obeys as he secretly loves getting tended to by wifey.

Healing Hands

I worried for Klaus daily and nightly. Whether he was immortal or not, pain is pain.

Watching him stumble through the front door bloodied and bruised always made my heart drop. He was careless with himself, if they didn't have the white-oak stake then he didn't worry. He often reminded me that he wouldn't die even if they tore his heart out or burnt him alive.

To be honest that didn't help my fears at all.

I would always look after him after he was injured. Whether it was a couple scrapes here and there or if it was something much, much worse.

For instance, today was simply awful.

Klaus had been missing for nearly three full days when Elijah and Rebekah came in through the door, holding him up. I rushed down the stairs and helped him back up them. Once we got him onto his bed I got my bag out which was essentially a very big first aid kit with a couple extra items, like my surgical string and curved suture needles.

I looked up to find Klaus looked back at me with a small smile on his blood stained lips.

"I'm okay" he whispered raspily.

"No...you're not" I told him and he sighed softly as I opened his blood soaked shirt to expose the very slowly healing stab wounds that carved deep into his abdomen and chest.

"I just need some blood, I'll heal in seconds" he mumbled

"Then I'll put you on a blood drip" I remarked while gently running antiseptic wipes over his wounds, trying not to let his wincing bother me.

"Love-"

"Just be quiet Nik" I whispered "Just let me help"

"okay" he murmured softly, giving in rather quickly which was more and more common recently. I gave a small smile back to him before continuing to carefully stitch him up where he should need it.

He kept still, his eyes closing as he felt her healing hands caress him better.

Klaus would never admit how much he secretly enjoyed her tending to him. It always reminded him of how much she loved him. No matter what was wrong, she was right there with bandages and wipes to help sooth his hurt.

Usually it was accompanied by a warm bath afterwards, her bare body against his while she traced the places where wounds once were. She would proceed to kiss each spot and then, at last, his lips. Then he would thank her quietly to which she would simply dismiss and once more tell him to be quiet so she could 'treat' him in another way.

By the time they're out of the water, they're probably dirtier than when they got in but neither one of them could care once they were curled up together again.

I had my head on his chest, tilted back to gaze up at him. My fingertips danced patterns across his broad chest while his brushes against my scalp.

The room was dark, the curtains closed and door locked. A comfortable silence had been around us for a good while now, our love for one-another always lingered in the air and both our eyes seemed to grow tired as we looked deep into each other.

His rough yet quiet voice broke the quiet but I didn't mind.

"I'm sorry I was gone for so long" he whispered and I smiled softly.

"It wasn't you fault...I'm sorry I wasn't much use in finding you" I always felt a little helpless when it came to saving people. Being a human my skills weren't ever helpful. I tried of course but I would never be as strong or intelligent as those who have lived for centuries.

"I never want you to spend restless nights looking for me. You must know by now that I will always come back to you alive, and you will always be here waiting I hope." His hand stroked the skin of my face making my lashes flutter as I nodded

"I'll always be here, I'll always look after you" I promised. I feel his forehead press to mine, the soft curls of top his head which have grown a little long tickle my face gently.

"And I you sweetheart" he smiled and so did I

"I love you Niklaus" I whispered quietly, kissing his cheek gently

"I love you more, my little nurse"

D&D 5E | Feat: Boon of the Storm Lord

Players often encounter the supernatural during the course of a campaign, whether that is through the interactions with a god, the machinations of a liche, or the shenanigans of a archfey. During these encounters, players might receive a boon or a curse, and Feats have become a favorite way to mechanically introduce these into the game.

In the Dragon of Icespire Peak campaign (from the Essentials Kit), a player can receive the Charm of the Storm during one encounter. It's been fun for players at my table, and so I thought about how to transform it into a Feat: rebalancing it so that it could be used each day, while the player has the boon.

Prerequisite: None

Repeatable: None

You hold within yourself the roiling energy of a tempest: a gift of power from a storm giant, a bronze dragon, a djinni, or maybe even a god. You gain the following benefits:

Increase your Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

As an action, you send out a blast of lightning from an extended hand forming a line 60 feet long and 5 feet wide. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw, with the save DC equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Constitution modifier. A creature takes Nd6 lightning damage (where N equals twice your Proficiency Bonus) on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a Long Rest.

Y/n was having a shitty day. 

She couldn't find anything she needed that morning and arrived at work with messy hair and an uncoordinated outfit, for which she received some dirty looks. Her colleagues that she would be relying on were off sick, leaving everything on her shoulders. And then, come afternoon, her boss had berated her in front of the rest of the office.

Y/n had relayed her shitty day into the group chat she shared with Buck and Eddie.

Y/n: Great. Now I'm hiding in the bathroom because I don't want to cry in front of everyone and I want to be sick.

Buck: It's okay to cry in front of other people. Plus, you've only got fifteen minutes left of work and then you can get out of there. 

Eddie: Come to the station. Hen, Chim and Bobby are out on a medical call so it's only us. 

Buck: Good idea, Eds. There's Bobby's leftover mac and cheese?

Y/n: If you're sure that's okay? I'm just going to pack up then I'll leave. 

Eddie: Drive safe.

Half an hour later, y/n entered the firehouse, looking around anxiously. Sure, she had been here plenty of times before, but she still felt pathetic, fighting back her tears and looking for the people who could make her feel even slightly better. 

She didn't have to wait long as she heard her name being called, and saw the forms of Buck and Eddie descending the stairs to meet her by the station gym. 

"Hey, y/n, come here!" Buck exclaimed with his arms opened wide. 

As those solid arms held her close, that was all she needed to feel safe enough to let go. Before she even realised, she was sobbing into a sturdy chest and someone was shushing her, hands stroking her back. 

"Ah, crap, I'm sorry y/n, I didn't mean to make it worse." Buck looked guiltily towards Eddie over her head. 

"You-you d-didnt. Just h-had it bottled u-up."

Eddie stepped in, guiding her to sit on the gym bench in between the two comforting figures, "You're okay now, y/n. Just breathe." Eddie added as he realised her sobbing was becoming frantic. 

"I…I-I can-nt."

Buck looked worriedly to his partner whilst Eddie stayed calm and professional. 

"Yes you can. You can breathe, you just need to slow it down. Copy me," Eddie instructed whilst deliberately breathing evenly.

Buck caught Eddie's attention and mouthed the question of "asthma?" 

Eddie just shook his head and mouthed, "not yet" right back. 

Both first responders continued to speak soothingly to y/n, reminding her it would pass and she would be just fine. 

However, Eddie started to worry when the sobbing began transforming into wheezes and y/n's head was dropping slightly onto her chest. 

"Hey, hey, hey, y/n. Where's your inhaler? I think you could do with a few rounds." Eddie asked. He also silently instructed Buck to bring a med kit over which Buck did diligently. 

Y/n pointed to her backpack abandoned on the floor, and tried to explain, "m-mi- middle" She managed to get out as Eddie rummaged through the middle pocket. 

Buck returned seconds later with the med kit, and started unpacking the essentials. 

"Let's get her on the floor but sat up against the wall," Eddie directed to Buck as they both took an arm and sat her down, "I need you to stay upright for me okay, sweetheart? That will help keep your airways open. Let's have a go at your inhaler, alright?"

Eddie helped her hold the inhaler to her lips as her hands shook too much. She was unable to hold much of the medicine in her lungs for long as her frantic breaths continued. 

"I'm just going to listen to your chest okay, y/n?" Eddie asked permission, slotting the stethoscope earpieces in and moving the bell to her chest as she nodded consent. 

Buck was multitasking, repeating soothing words whilst clipping a pulse oximeter to her shaking finger.

Pulling the stethoscope from his ears and hanging it loosely around his neck, Eddie explained his diagnosis, "okay, sweetheart, I think you've triggered an asthma attack with your panic attack. Which is fine, we just need to get it under control, okay?"

She was shaking her head, becoming more frantic and causing a vicious cycle, "n-no h-hos-pital." She was beginning to want to close her eyes and for this horrible day to end. 

Buck noticed her drooping head, "hey, woah woah, no napping allowed. We'll do our best here, and then we'll cross whatever bridge we need to cross, okay?"

She could feel them both moving around her and her shoulders occasionally being pushed back against the wall, straightening her body. She could feel an uncomfortable squeezing around her arm as she suspected Buck was taking her blood pressure. By the tone the voices were using, she didn't think the results were desired. 

"Alright, here's the plan, y/n, we're going to try a treatment of nebulising right here, and if that doesn't cut it, we'll try a shot of hydrocortisone as a last resort before calling another ambulance to transport you to hospital."

Inside, she wanted to vomit at the thought of needles being anywhere near her, but she nodded regardless, hopeful that the nebuliser was all she would need to be righted. 

Eddie placed the plastic mask over her mouth and nose, "breathe as deeply as you can…that's it. Good job, it should be opening up your airways now. You're doing great."

Meanwhile Buck was taking another BP reading, whilst Eddie had his fingers firmly placed to her delicate wrist, eyes to his watch. 

Ten minutes went by, and whilst the hyperventilating receded for y/n Eddie and Buck were still unsatisfied with the sound of her breathing and the struggle they could detect through their stethoscopes. 

"How're you feeling, y/n?" Eddie asked, still holding her wrist. 

"Be-better, thanks."

"Feeling dizzy or nauseous?"

"D-dizzy."

"Okay, that's normal. I'd still like to administer a shot of hydrocortisone." Eddie stated as he started rifling through the med bag. 

Buck immediately noticed the change in her demeanor, not to mention the spike in her pulse that he was still monitoring. "He-Hey, what's wrong?" He asked, trying to meet her panicked eyes. 

She just shook her head and tried to move herself further away from Eddie. Eddie finally noticed, turning around with what he needed and looking to Buck for explanation who could only shrug. 

"I fe-feel better. Th-thanks."

"Would you rather wait and get it done at the hospital?" Eddie offered kindly. 

Y/n wheezed out her question, voice low and embarrassed, "wi-will they…still do it at-at the ho-hospital?"

"Almost definitely, sweetheart, sorry."

She wiped a distressed tear from her eye which nearly broke the grown men's hearts, "want you to…to do it th-then."

Buck and Eddie nodded, another silent conversation passing between them. Buck pulled her to face him, both her hands cradled in his larger, calloused ones and he began chattering away about something Jee did at the weekend. 

Eddie prepared the needle and medication and wiped the site clean on her arm, trying to ignore the way she flinched away from him and to not take it personally. 

"Sharp scratch." He warned before administering the shot. Buck felt her hands tense and her eyes squeezed shut, but other than that, she reacted well. 

Eddie was rubbing his thumb over the site, thoughtfully and commending her, "you did great. You should be feeling better soon."

Buck and Eddie continued to monitor her vitals closely for the next few minutes until the familiar sound of the ambulance could be heard pulling into the apparatus floor. 

"What's going on here?" Bobby moved quickly to the trio, closely followed by a concerned Hen and Chim. 

It was obvious to everyone how uncomfortable y/n was feeling under the attention. 

Eddie went about explaining, "asthma attack. I think we've got it under control, but mind if we borrow the Ambo?" 

Y/n startled at this and Buck was quick to explain whilst Chim helped Eddie bring around the stretcher, "hey, it's just a precaution. Everything looks to be settling but we need a doctor to confirm you're okay." He tried to provide some comfort by again squeezing her hand gently. 

"You'll both stay?" She asked once Eddie had returned. 

"Yeah, of course, y/n. We'll both stay with you at the hospital, and then we'll take you home and get you settled on the couch with a pint of that disgusting ice cream you like."

"Yep. No moving from the couch the entire weekend." 

That was exactly the kind of weekend y/n needed to make up for her epically shitty day.

AU Ideas:

Honestly, I don't have a ton of AU ideas.

But in this AU, things go as normal until Sharpclaw starts doing the whole undermining-Leafstar's-leadership shit he pulls in SkyClan's Destiny (he made me so mad) (I kind of hate him), and as he tries to essentially guilt-trip Leafstar into forgiving him, Echosong steps up and puts a stop to it, berating him about his lack of respect for their leader.

She helps Leafstar stand up for herself, and they put him on a sort of deputy-probation until he can prove that he can support his leader's decisions and respect her as a person (cat?).

So anyways, she and Leafstar get together, and they're like... yknow what? we want babies. So they visit StarClan and demand that they grant Leafstar the ability to carry Echosong's kits via StarClan Magic™, and since it's just SkyClan StarClan, they agree- the more future SkyClan warriors the better SkyClan will be able to defend itself. Both Leafstar and Echosong have two X chromosomes, so it would be impossible for them to have two XY babies even with magic, so let's just say that StarClan gave both kittens a Y chromosome. Or something.

So Leafstar gives birth to two kittens, Flamekit and Badgerkit. Flamekit is named in honor of Firestar, and Badgerkit is named for his markings reminiscent of the white stripes on a badger. Unfortunately, when the boys are about 2 moons old, a rodent-borne disease passes through SkyClan, and Badgerkit doesn't make it.

Flamekit becomes Flamepaw, mentored by Plumwillow, grows into an anxious but resilient young cat, and is given his warrior name early- Flamefeather.

Do the sneasler bros do that thing that cats do when intorduced to lemons or oranges? They smell it, face of disgust. They lick it, face of disgust. They bite and try to eat it all while having a face of disgust.

It's a somewhat weirdly common cat feature. They absolutely hate the smell and taste of citrus but will attack anyone who dares try to remove the offending piece of fruit.

To be honest Ingo is a raggedly old sock puppet muppet. He'd probably give the most elderly dog version of puppy eyes, like the elderly 14 year dog eyes with their powdered muzzles and sugar dusted faces. Just let the old man have his lemon please! He's giving such a pitiful expression!

Meanwhile Emmet will use his claws and teeth.

I honestly don't know what it'll take for your version of Ingo to go feral besides Akari getting hurt. No doubt he has ptsd. What will cause him to snap? To make even Emmet feel afraid of him?

It's interesting to see the usually calm, chill character just go absolutely batshit insane when they reach the end of their rope.

On the other end, does Ingo have some fear of Emmet with how crazy/feral he is? Like, they've been separated for a while and with Ingo's amnesia does he remember Emmet being this feral? Did Emmet become more feral after Ingo's disappearance?

Ingo's expression does not change. He just stares at you with his autistic eyes until you give him his citrus back.

Emmet won't let you get close enough to take it. He bites.

Elesa is just watching them like they're insane while Akari cackles hysterically.

I think, for one, Emmet would only be visibly afraid if this happened while he was still human. He's working off of just Akari's word and the tattered hat and coat that this sneasler is Ingo, not to mention Ingo has amnesia and might not even remember Emmet, so Emmet is very aware of how easily Ingo could kill him. He is walking on eggshells (and also silently studying the sneaslers so he can find their typing and how best to defeat them if he needs to).

Given that Akari is probably the only reason Ingo would go full feral mode though, there's not too much of a risk of Emmet actually getting hurt; if Akari doesn't or can't hold onto Ingo while she's distressed, she's going for Emmet next because he looks like Ingo. Even if Ingo doesn't remember Emmet that well, he recognizes that he's clearly beneficial to Akari's wellbeing.

Other than Akari getting hurt, I think the only thing that would make Ingo snap would be Lady Sneasler, her kits, or Emmet and Elesa being in trouble.

Ingo probably still tends to fight and protect by commanding his pokemon instead of using his own claws, but if he's in an emergency he will instinctively go full feral sneasler-mode on whatever is threatening his charge.

Emmet is naturally feral and while becoming an adult and having to function in society made him learn how to tone it down, when Ingo disappeared, Emmet essentially lost his impulse control. Emmet was lowkey a bit of a dick to trainers challenging his line before, but post-Ingo disappearing, Emmet is just mean. He's friendly most of the time, but the second he gets triggered all bets are off. He's still playing fair on a legal level (everything he does is still passable for competitive pokemon battling) but his empathy is just deleted. He will crush a trainer's hopes and dreams and smile while they cry.

Elesa forces him to take a break from the Battle Subway because at this rate he's going to run the reputation into the ground long before Ingo gets back. (this "break" is probably when they get yeeted back to Hisui)

All that to say that when Emmet gets to Hisui, he is stretched thin. He is already seconds away from snapping and breaking somebody's neck with his bare hands. Ironically, becoming a sneasler that is objectively far more dangerous than a human actually makes Emmet less violent.

His first few hunts are absolute carnage though. Ingo is horrified and Akari is just "whoa >:D"

Fancasting for a Trigun live-action tv series/movie!! I know we got just Trigun Stampede, but we can’t let Cowboy Bebop get a live action and not Trigun right??

For all my selections I would say about 75-80% are actors I have seen in one or more of their most well known roles. For anyone else I narrowed down to 2-4 options and I did extra research into their filmography, interviews to hear their voices and general vibe, etc. And I also looked at what kind of roles they trended towards—sci-fi/fantasy and superhero media giving them bonus points.

For Vash and Knives I wanted to first look for real life identical twins. After some research, I believe I found a fitting pair. Cole and Dylan Sprouse, best know for their childhood roles in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Although I don’t think I knew their adult roles as well as their Zack and Cody days, that real twin dynamic just adds that extra layer.

Of the two, I found Cole having a softer look, and lately it appears he’s been going with black hair which seemed fitting if we think about black-haired Vash at the end of TriMax. Dylan’s look has just that different sharpness and edginess that I slotted him to Knives.

Ruby Cruz (Kit Tanthalos, Disney+’s Willow) is a very talented young woman and recently made a feature length movie debut as Hazel Callahan in Bottoms (2023) and will be starring in an upcoming rom-com The Threesome. (See notes about edit below.)

Milly was a tricky one for me. I have a couple of runners up below. My current pick is Mina Sundwall, especially for her role as Penny Robinson in Netflix’s space family drama Lost in Space.

Although I’m on board with the HC that Wolfwood is Latinx, I had to go with famous werewolf Jacob Black from Twilight, Taylor Lautner. I got a couple other choices below too.

Liam Hemsworth (or Chris idkkkk). Nuff said?

Rem was a bit hard to choose. I had to go with Candice Patton as a personal big fan of her role as Iris West in The Flash as a DC fan. She has just the right oh-crap-I-have-kids-I-am-not-prepared-at-all motherly acting vibe down pat that is essential for Rem.

Despite the fact that Christopher Daniel Barnes is always smiling in photos, his breath of filmography makes him such a good fit for wise Drunkle Roberto.

Being so effing hyped about Nicholas playing Lex Luthor in Superman Legacies (2025) he has the perfect mix of heroic and villain roles for Legato’s psychotic righteousness. And he’s already had blue hair (and fur all over his whole body) as Hank “Beast” McCoy, c’mon too easy.

Zazie Beetz… that couldn’t have been a coincidence? Like Studio Orange must have know about this actress when they worked on the Beast’s revamped design. For a second option I’d probably pick a child/adolescent actor but Zazie can pretty much take whatever form they want, so why not both? Edit: I’m going with Scarlett (Trixie from Lucifer). Very very talent young woman. She’s funny, smart, sassy.

FireRaven hypokits?

i havent rlly thot abt fire/raven much but this DEFOOO made me realize that this ship is very cute lol

in my heart raven and fire had crushes on each other as apprentices and so when ravenpaw ran away from thunderclan, firepaw struggled a lot with staying with thunderclan and he kinda fell into more of a background character while sandstorm filled in his role of savior of the clans, becoming leader and killing tigerstar. once all that happened i think raven n fire reconnected and ravenpaw came back to live within the clan, eventually becoming ravensong :0)

ROBINPOOL is our Leafpool stand-in for this au, and their personalities are fairly similar. The only difference I'd say is she's a lot less outspoken, takes after Ravensong almost entirely and is just very awkward and nervous. She is also named after Ravensong's mother, Robinwing!

FINCHKIT is from the pairs second litter and was raised when Fireheart and Ravensong were both well into senior warrior-hood, now both very confident and experienced parents. He is very chipper and loud, always speaking his mind and doing frankly whatever he wants. He's a bit of a terror lol

SCORCHSTORM is essentially just squirrelflight lol. Her name change because Sandstorm named her "squirrel-" in my heart, and her prefix is taken from Sandstorm! :0) Sandstorm, Fireheart, and Ravensong are all very close friends + helped raise each others kits so I think they recognize she takes after Sandstorm a lot and wanted 2 honor that
