The problem with "oh but the animals consent to being farmed" is that it requires a mightily fucked up view of consent to work.

You cannot give consent when there is a signifact power imbalance. It's one of the reasons why pedophilia and quid pro quo harassment are both godawful and wrong.

I have been a fan of Corey Haim since I was really young. I always was a fan of his movies like The Lost Boys and License to Drive, he always a silly, charming kid. As a teenager I was totally heartbroken when he and Feldman came together on television, in tears about the tragic abuse they both experienced. So learning more about what lead a once innocent, sweet kid down such a dark path that really hurts me. No one deserves what the Corey’s have endured and no one deserves to be abused. From what Feldman has come forward about, it does not sound like only one person was responsible for the abuse of Haim, it sounds like it was multiple people. The description of what Sheen was accused of did fit in with what Feldman described in Coreyography. If Sheen was not responsible for the abuse of Haim, he has already been caught by his ex-wife with being in possession of child pornography of young boys, and has beaten many of his ex girlfriends or wives so regardless of if he contributed in this case, he is still a horrific person. There is no reason to ever justify the actions of sexual abusers, pedophiles and/or rapists and I am proud of Corey Feldman and anyone who is strong enough to speak out against those who have caused themselves or others harm.
