I desperately wanna know what it was like for each of the bishops to gain their crowns. Like they were all children, Shamura was the first. They were alone for a long time until Kallamar came along.

I feel like every time I answer an ask I just leave y’all with more questions. But Shamura, dispute being the first of the bishops, was not alone. They are about 12 here.
I have a headcannon that a lot of Shamura’s game dialogue are phrases that they have said or heard before their injury. Left over fragments from their past that they can’t quite remember yet are still haunted by.
Don’t ask me what happened with the visual style here, it’s out of my control. This is barely even cult of the lamb anymore, I’ve gone rouge.
Comic about Narinder getting his crown here.
Also extra unused panel of Shamura.

Did we really just spend the last few months seeing people scream about bloodthirsty Jews Zionists who crave mass murder and genocide and steal Palestinian babies and eat the skins of corpses which they also steal?
Because now I see every single Jewish person I know on Tumblr spending all day begging people not to kill themselves while the pro-Palis are drawing fanart of self-immolation.
Do you want death cults? Because that's how you get death cults.

aaaaand we got another guy barbecuing himself
I’ve seen people say we’re getting close to suicide bombings in the US, and yeah it’s entirely possible (even likely) that this will escalate to that if it is not nipped in the bud, but like, this is actually bad enough already. the mainstream voices of this movement are literally lauding a man for burning himself alive, encouraging people to kill themselves
the so-called “Pro-Palestine” movement in America (which is not to say caring about Palestinian lives, but practically every organization central to the movement, their ideology, & their rhetoric) is a pipeline to a death cult, and the longer it takes to recognize that the closer you allow it to bring you to the precipice
do not listen to those who would have you kill yourself for their cause. your life is worth more to those who love you than any supposed “martyrdom”, and you are better able to do justice alive than dead.

My au in simply terms:

Basically this is like if lamb had sacrificed themselves after they got narinder's siblings out of purgatory and already intergrated narinder into the cult, passing godhood back onto narinder.
The first few years are fine, but as time passes and narinder is only left with stories from the lamb's old followers and sculptures of them, he cannot take it for any longer and is actually going fucking mad. He brings the lamb back and it, of course, backfires.
It takes several resurrections for lamb to finally stop killing themself immediately after being brought back. He makes a deal with narinder, saying that if he still wants to die after 5 years of being in the cult, narinder will allow him to.
Narinder after lamb tries to kill themself for the 30th time that day:

(On a side note, their relationship is not healthy like at all. It gets some improvement as time goes on, but rn, it's absolutely in shreds. They should NOT be in contact with one another.)

The thing about pro-Hamas anons telling me to k*ll myself is that ever since the soldier who set himself on fire, I’m not sure if it’s a threat or a compliment.
Like, is su*cide a good thing or a bad thing? Is it something you want from your enemies or your idols? Do you want to destroy me or do you want to worship me as a cult symbol? 🤷‍♀️

I love your metas! I was wondering... have you or anyone else tried listing all of Bruce's childhood traumas? Comics zero in on Crime Alley, but EVERY time I see a snippet from his childhood it's invariably a little-to-a-lot fucked up whether his parents are involved (loneliness, bedtime stories, his mom lovingly promising to haunt him) or not (falling into the cave, going to a boarding school run by a killer in Batman Gothic, Tommy Elliott in general, a childhood friend died of diphtheria in Batman Through the Looking Glass... he saw a LOT of death as a child, actually...)
Thank you! I unfortunately don't know of a post listing all of Bruce's childhood traumas. You've kind of already covered a lot of bases, Anon, but for the sake of completeness I'll go through all you've mentioned and the traumatic incidents I can recall too:
Bruce falls into a well full of bats and develops a phobia in response [notable post-Crisis flashback in Batman: The Man Who Falls]
At five years old, Bruce's favorite story to have Thomas read to him every night for a month is “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury, which is largely about kids with such neglectful parents that they bond with an automated house and then leave their parents for dead [mentioned by Bruce(s) in Batman/Superman (2013) #2]
Bruce witnessed his father performing surgery on a dying man [flashback in Batman: The Long Halloween]
Thomas reads to Bruce “The Animals and the Pit” by Alexander Nikolaevich Afanasyev, a story containing cannibalism and brutal fights for survival [flashback in Batman (2016) #74]
Thomas had Bruce watch horror movies with him, with Martha having to comfort Bruce afterwards in a bit of an unorthodox way... by promising that if they died, his parents would haunt him [flashback in Detective Comics (2016) #1027 -- Ghost Story]
Bruce experienced neglect as a child, with his father's parenting style being potrayed in multiple stories as authoritarian, which led to Bruce idolizing him and craving his approval, but running to Martha for comfort when his father was too harsh [notable flashbacks in Batman: The Dark Knight II (2011) #12, but bits of this can be seen in Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Hush, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #58, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on a Serious Earth etc.]
Bruce had a friend called Celia Small for a while, whom he adored. He watched her die of diptheria while he recovered, blaming himself for it [mentioned in Batman: Through the Looking Glass]
Bruce was sent to a private school as a child, which he resented as being "sent away"; the school is described as hell, a place where children were beaten, humiliated and had to fight off the sexual advances of older teachers. Bruce gets spanked as physical punishment by the headmaster, who turns out to be a serial killer, because Bruce glimpses the severed head of his only friend Robert as it happens [flashbacks in Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #7 -- Gothic]
Bruce accidentally shoots a duck with a rifle his friend Mooley had brought with them, and the death of the animal becomes a traumatic memory associated with the death of his parents, because of the gun [Batman: Secrets #4]
Bruce's childhood friend, Tommy Elliot... um. I guess I can just list Tommy Elliot, but the most direct traumatic experience at the time must've been having to stop Thomas from killing another kid, after which Thomas was put in a psychiatric institution [flashback in Detective Comics (1937) #837]
Bruce's father hits him while angry about a stock investment, with Bruce declaring in childish rage to his mother afterwards that he wants him dead... on the same day that his parents got gunned down, because Bruce's survivor's guilt needed more ammunition [flashback in Batman (1940) #430]
And then there's the shooting of his parents at the tender age of 8 years old! So all of this is prior to that! Two dead friends, one who avoided him after the unfortunate duck incident, and one friend who had a violent breakdown and got taken away... And Bruce attempted suicide after his parents died too, as told in Batman (2016) #12.

My Experience in the Cult-Like Cosplay Server Known as BeTraist, ran by CuttyRen and ChubbyArcherz
I've spent about 3 weeks writing this entire statement of my experiences in Ren's server. It's 11k words with well over 65+ screenshots of evidence of abuse and manipulative behavior from the users @/cuttyren and @/archyboi-innes towards myself and SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE including some of their now-ex partners.
Tumblr media
If you know Ren from all of his bullshit on Tiktok and Instagram, then you already have some context of how horrifically he treated his ex, but the TLDR is Ren ran a smear campaign against their ex for about 2 YEARS once he broke up with them.
And beside Ren, there is Archer. Two ex-partners of theirs have recently physically gotten away from their abusive situation under Archer and recently made their own statements, giving me courage to write this one (you can find links to their statements within my own).
I'm begging you all to please take the time to read what I have written if you are a part of the JSE, Markiplier, and SandersSides cosplay communities (Tiktok or otherwise) or communities in general.
This is my story and my perspective of how they treated me and my friends. There is so much awfulness that has happened and I wasn't even one of Ren or Archer's actual targets. I was essentially just in the same room and was still affected by them deeply over the course of over 2 years.
Trigger warnings included in the doc, but please take care and read with caution. There will be discussions of cults, manipulation, gaslighting, adults flirting with minors, su*c*de, and more.
I am laying my story on the table because I want to give the people of these communities a WARNING about these rancid individuals. Please keep each other safe.
Thank you for reading.

I was raised in the People of Destiny cult (later renamed, and more well-known as, Sovereign Grace Ministries, now Sovereign Grace Churches).
The valorization of martyrdom and The End Times was so ubiquitous it was ambient noise. We stood in the church lobby theorizing about who the antichrist would be, we argued about whether Jesus would rapture us all before, after, or during the Tribulation Period where Satan would be given free reign over the earth. There was a strong Christian Zionist fixation on Israel as the final battleground and capital of the coming Messianic Age. But the one thing we were all certain of was is that we were in the End Times, that we were not of this world and couldn’t get too attached to our lives here.
We were raised to believe our sin nature made us undeserving of life, that we deserved death and eternal conscious torture.
My parents read us the Jesus Freaks books (a series by Christian Rap group DC Talk about martyrs). I spent “devotional time” reading Fox’s Book of Martyrs. We had guest speakers from Voice of the Martyrs, their pamphlets were often stocked in our church’s information center. We grew up with our dad listening to right wing talk radio and making us listen to songs about how the Godless atheists were outlawing Christianity in America, that we could all become martyrs soon.
The group’s theology was damaging & traumatic in a lot of other ways that contributed to the suicidality I have continued to struggle with for the rest of my life. For a long time I did not believe I would live past 20. There are times when the idea of giving my death meaning by using public suicide to make a political statement has appealed to me.
So now, seeing so many social media posts glorifying the suicide of a US Airman this week, I have been furious. Reading his social media posts, I recognize so much about the way I was raised in his all-or-nothing, black-or-white mindset, the valorization of death-seeking & martyrdom, and the apocalyptic fire-and-brimstone imagery of self-immolation. The moment I saw people I followed celebrating his self-immolation, I said to myself “this feels like a cult”
So when I learned he was raised in a cult too, nothing could have made more sense to me. His political orientation may have changed, but his mindset did not—it was no less extreme or cult-like.
I’ve talked about so many of the reasons this response from the broader left scares me, including how it’s laundering that airman’s antisemitic beliefs, but I cannot think of anything that would hit me in a more personal place than this specific response to this specific situation has.
When I see the images, I think: that could have been me. That scares me, and what scares me more is that so many prominent people are overwhelmingly sending the message to people like me that there is nothing else we can do that would have a more meaningful impact than killing ourselves for the cause.
I do not believe that. I will not even entertain it. And having to see his death over and over and over again, to argue against people who are treating this like an intellectual/moral exercise or a valid debate we all have to consider has been immensely triggering and fills me with a rage I rarely feel. It’s unconscionable that we are even putting self-harm on the table, and that pushing back against that is somehow controversial.
There is hope. Our lives do have meaning. There are far more effective means of fighting injustice. And the world is a better place for having you in it. Don’t fall into believing this is a way to give life purpose.
