My face when I was told that I would NOT be receiving a complimentary slow cooker or toaster oven for my 12th time on the operating table in two years. I just had my permanent DRG stimulator put in. I’m now an official heavy metal zombie cyborg. My body keeps acquiring more and more non-original and non-human parts. I’m in so much misery right now. The tramadol and ice are doing nothing to help the pain. But I’ve got a pregnancy pillow arriving tomorrow, I’m going to eat my weight in pineapple, and just try to focus on everything that’s waiting for me on the other side of healthy. Needing me some ocean grounding. That connection to nature , to oceans ,waves and sand . The moon and its tides , the smell of the sea and it’s nature , it’s green it’s waterfalls, it’s breeze .It’s ability to connect you to all of your senses that feeling of the sand between your toes or the water as you walk against the waves it’s sounds pulling you to centre ..but more importantly it reminding you to breathe! Need to remind myself to commit to micro habits of change . To mindfully let go and breathe to try put all the pain and struggles I have with crps aside and to practice more mindfulness ... even when it feels like my body is raging a war against me . I must keep trying frighting to make small changes and keep going .
