Hello and welcome to Day 7 of "Let's Explore My Plot Bunnies"

Sorry for posting this a bit late today, I was busy, and the idea was a bit complicated to put in words. (Don't you love when your brain gives you only vivid images but abandons you when you need to describe them? Yeah, me too)

The fic idea I wanna explore today is actually a collab fanfic between me and my friend @yokomisaki.

This is a Canon Divergence AU for Naruto that both of us came up with around *checks notes* July 13th, 2023. It actually started with me saying that "Shiranui Genma is definitely a motherhen to anybody that he deems in need of motherhening" and that evolved into "Shiranui Genma would make a great Jounin Sensei" before it settled into "Make Shiranui Genma a Jonin Sensei and then throw Naruto at him cause god, does the kid need someone like him in his life".

I came up with a title for this fic, and we already started writing it. I have done a small part of the prologue so far, but we have chapters planned out (just not written out yet).

Title of the fic:

"The late dog always barks at the closed door"

(Yes, it is a jab at Kakashi's habit of being late. Is it mean of me to do this? Yes. Do I care? Not really. I feel he needs a bit of a reality check for that; like, you can be late for your own personal meetings but NOT FOR A FREAKING OFFICIAL MEETING)

Synopsis/Description:

Shiranui Genma is many things, but he is not a teacher. At least not until the Hokage decides that, in the wake of one Jounin Sensei's death, he is to take a team of 3 freshly graduated children under his wing. The good news is that he is not obligated to pass them. The bad news is that he actually likes the brats - despite the fact that he knows only headaches will follow him now.

In the one year he had the brats for a lot changed, including what one of his students wanted to do with her life as a shinobi. Now, Genma is required to get a new Gennin to make up for the student (and she is still his student dammit; no official paper will ever change that) that decided to pursue the career of "not-battle active medic-nin".

When it was time for him to choose, he recognized a certain hyperactive blonde as part of the rooster he could choose from - which is weird since Hatake seems to want him. So then why was not the kid already spoken for?

After some consideration, Genma came up with his answer.

"Hokage-sama, I want to take Uzumaki Naruto as the new member for Team 3."

Some details:

I know Team 3 is supposed to be Might Guy, Neji Hyuuga, Tenten, and Rock Lee; however, I have always believed them to be team 9, so it is really hard for me to correct that belief. Thus, just for the sake of my brain, Genma's team is Team 3, while Guy's team is team 9.

This fic will have (so far) 4 OCs: Kawamura Chizuru (Part of Team 3 - retires from active duty but is still considered part of the team by Genma); Nomura Akira (Part of Team 3); Higashi Kyoka (Part of Team 3); Sakaki Ichirou (the boy that takes Naruto's place in team 7)

Yes, at Naruto's graduation team, because he also got to graduate, there was one person that would have to be put in another team as the numbers wouldn't add up (think instead of 21 kids aka 7 teams of 3, there are 22 kids that graduated)

We have most of the plot for the OG series already thought out; the Shippuden part is more complicated (because of what we do with the pervious part)

Naruto is getting the darn support system that he is in need of in this AU

And I am not overlooking Sasuke either. Without Naruto around to push him, Sasuke will realize that he is pretty much isolated (thank you Konoha Elders and Teacher from the Akademy (Not Iruka), you did a fantastic job *note the sarcasm*). Cause really, the main reason why it didn't look like Sasuke was isolated by others (and instead it showed he chose isolation) is because Naruto is like 10 people in one presence-wise. And because I am taking Naruto away from the picture, I raise you this idea: Get Raidou (or any competent adult) to interact with Sasuke. Sasuke needs more competent adults in his life at this point

Everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - is getting character development. Even just some characters that appear for a few times. And I am dragging Kakashi from his brooding corner, kicking and screaming if I have to. (And yes, that includes villains, too. *looks at my brain planned storyline* And summons get the same treatment as well)

Another thing: Political Sub-plot. Ya think that with all the importance they put on, not only rank but missions that get you in different countries, this show would have more political talk; but no. So we are bringing Naruto into politics. Inter-village Politics, to be precise. Naruto, prepare your Talk no Jutsu.

Also, Fuuinjutsu Made-Up Theory Stuff. Just because I can and I will (I am in charge of Fuuinjitsu stuff). Genma is making Naruto learn them from scratch.

We are addressing the fact that the Shinobi Academy of Konoha was turned into a "civilian playground" because of the Konoha Elders. (It's way worse than you can think if Genma makes Naruto re-learn stuff from zero) - there is no way any fight will have some bullshit pop-quiz about History or Chakra Theory. How in the world are those kids alive?

We also have Orochimaru Plot™️. A whole ton of it too.

We also get into the "Preparation to Take a Life on the Battlefield" thing. Because people there seem to not do it anymore. Like, get the kids to kill animals in the wild after catching them. Is it hard? Yes. But THEY NEED THE DAMN EXPERIENCE SO THEY DON'T FREEZE UP AS BADLY IN COMBAT.

Get Naruto into the Tactical Thinking. Not because he is Shikamaru Level at it; but because he is good at surprising the enemy. So Naruto's shenanigans + some tactician lessons = Perfect Combo for Ambush.

Naruto and Kurama interact earlier. And, while it won't be that much better than the beginning of their friendship in the anime, we are getting the friendship a lot faster this time.

Finally, Team 3, being trained by Genma, starts to pick up having Senbons on them. It's like their "mark" as Genma's kids. (Genma is so proud)

This is all I have currently (mostly because it's late at night here, and I am losing my thought process). I will also post what I have written from the Prologue after this is posted, so look forward to that.

Nejiten Family Head cannons

Here we go:

As parents:

1. Neji and Tenten were the first to get married. I’m going based off of the “promise” Neji made Tenten during the war. He probably promised to always be by her side, and probably insisted they get married. Hiashi was aware of Neji’s intentions, and since he was already familiar with Tenten, he gave Neji his blessing even if the elders did not.

2. Tenten was apprehensive about having children. Childbirth scared her, and she didn’t want her children to be branded with the curse seal. Luckily, by the time Naruto and Hinata were married and established, the act of using the curse seal was disbanded, and she did not have to worry about her children.

3. Neji and Tenten were the first of their group to have children; twins boys. In some divine act to mirror the situation of Hiashi and Hizashi, Tenten popped out twin boys; The eldest twin was named Nozomi and the younger twin was named after Neji’s father, Hizashi. Because Tenten does have some interest in spirituality, she wanted to honor the possibility that Hizashi’s soul could be within her child and give him a “chance at a new life of freedom”. Neji was a bit shocked at her decision, however touched that she would think of him in such a way.

4. Three years after the twins were born, Tenten gave birth to a girl, the same year as Metal Lee and the gang. With the twins already toddlers, Neji wanted as many kids as possible with Tenten. Tenten, convinced him to stop after their daughter; fully closing the factory and insisting that three was more than enough. Neji named her Meiten, after Tenten. He wanted her to share some commonality with Tenten and thought that Meiten had a nice ring to it when he called both of their names out loud.

5. All three children have the Byakugan. In my Hyuga head cannons, the Byakugan is a dominate gene with the BB coding. With Neji and Tenten’s genetics, all three children have the Bb genetic coding due to Tenten obviously not being a Hyuga with the Byakugan.

6. Neji is a girl dad. He loves his sons, and yet there’s something about his little girl that he’s just attached to. He tends to struggle with keeping himself in check in terms of smothering her with affection. The same struggle that he has to keep in self in check around Tenten to some degree. He could come off cold to his children at times, especially Meiten, but he is trying to not spoil his children, his daughter primarily.

7. Tenten insisted on training all children weaponry. Even if only one child inherited her perfect aim (Nozomi did in fact show talent for it), she wanted her children to be well rounded and not just focus on the Gentle Fist style of fighting. In fact, she focused on one weapon specialty per child; Nozomi with twin swords, Hizashi with a staff, and Meiten with Nunchucks.

8. Neji refused to go on missions while Tenten was pregnant and the kids were at least one years old. It was explained that one of Neji’s love languages are Acts of Service. He felt the need to stay by Tenten’s side and assist her in anyway possible; he would handle the kids while she got rest, take them to appointments, set up the nursery with the help of Lee and Hinata. Gai would give him props for completely devoting himself to Tenten in this way; very much so that Neji would get embarrassed by the constant praise.

9. Tenten was the proctor for her twin boy’s second round of the chunnin exams. It was quite the spectacle for her to watch her sons show off their genius to the crowd.

10. Neji and Tenten show subtle affection while around the kids. Because Neji is awkward himself when it comes to it, the most they do is hold each other and Neji will lightly kiss Tenten if they are around the children. Tenten will still hang on her husband, however will keep her hands respectably where they can be seen *wink wink*.

11. Neji and Tenten are very open and honest with their children. They encourage curiosity and critical thinking. They want their kids to be comfortable enough to approach them, while coming to conclusions based in their own problem solving skills. Neji encourages them to hang around Shikadai, who inherited Shikamaru’s high IQ.

12. Neji and Tenten instilled the “stronger than yesterday” mindset onto their kids. In an attempt at encouragement as well as motivation, Team Gai’s ideals were passed on between Nozomi, Hizashi, Meiten, and Metal Lee.

13. Lee has attempted to keep the green spandex tradition going. You can check out the mini comic page here to see how that turned out. Neji and Tenten kept the green spandex suits hidden from the kids; that hideous thing needed to be burned tbh…

14. Neji tries to be there for Boruto when Naruto is busy. He does try to make Boruto understand that his father is in a very important position and tried to support him as much as he can. Hinata appreciates Neji’s efforts, though Boruto is stubborn, just like his father. Neji doesn’t take any offense when Boruto calls him out for acting as if he was his dad, though the kid also acknowledged that Neji was in fact more present than his own dad and immediately felt like crap for snapping on his Uncle.

For the kids;

1. The twins caused some controversy within the clan. They were the first branch members to not be branded by the main branch. There were times that Neji had to put some of his relatives in their place while protecting his boys. The curse mark can only be removed through death as stated in cannon, it’s safe to say Hiashi had to control his nephew’s threats to his relatives if they even looked at his kids the wrong way.

2. The twins showed more aspects of Tenten’s outward appearance and personality than Neji’s. Nozomi and Hizashi are bubbly, outspoken, and clever in a mischievous way. However, they do share Neji’s ability to remain calm in certain situations and have inherited his determination. They also inherited Neji’s intimidation vibes and high patience levels.

3. Nozomi and Hizashi find their Uncle Lee to be quite the drama king. Much like their parents, Uncle Lee can be a lot sometimes, and the twins try to keep a straight face around him. It’s not that they don’t find him amusing or wise, it’s just that he tends to let the tears of youth flow a little bit too freely.

4. The twins are protective of their little sister. Metal Lee gets a pass for being friendly with Meiten because that is their Uncle Lee’s son. Meiten and Metal practically grew up together. Everyone else though, the twins can be quite intimidating depending on what’s going on.

5. Meiten inherited Neji’s calm persona and yet she can be quite the hot-head if pushed. When around Metal and Uncle Lee and Uncle Gai, Meiten will be the opposite of their energy in order to maintain some sanity. She has also picked up on Neji’s mannerisms such as pursing her lips together when annoyed, rolling her eyes, and over all having some kind of opinion that tends to be the opposing opinion.

6.Meiten finds her cousin Boruto to be a bit of a brat, but she does understand why. She knows that Uncle Naruto is always busy with being Hokage, and Boruto had even called Meiten “lucky” that her father was always around for her.

7. Nozomi and Hizashi are on separate teams. Nozomi’s sensei is Rock Lee, who gladly took the responsibility of training one or both of the Hyuga twins. Hizashi’s sensei is Kiba Inuzuka. Kiba was surprised to have Hizashi grouped with him, however Neji supported the decision on separating the twins. Tenten also wanted the twins to make their own friends, and be independent of each other.

8. Nozomi and Hizashi faced off during the chunnin exams while Tenten was their proctor. Oh boy, oh boy! Tenten could barely contain herself as she watched her boys fight to become chunnin. It ended in a draw with both boys fighting until they were completely drained of chakra. Neji and Tenten were pleased with the draw, both becoming chunnin anyway due to their skills.

9. Meiten didn’t get past the preliminary round of the chunnin exam fights. She was clocked by a foreign gennin. She was very upset with herself and refused to look her parents in the face after wards. Tenten had to tell her own experience of the first time taking the her and Neji took the chunnin exams; Tenten was also clapped by a foreign ninja, and Neji was beat by Meiten’s Uncle Naruto.

10. All three children are considered heirs to the Hua family business even with the last name Hyuga. Lady Chao-Xing Hua was very pleased that Tenten married into the Hyuga family, she hopes that one day, one of them will take over the family business. Tenten refused to take over, however her brother Shinten decided to and made Konoha a second head quarters for the business. Tenten does help from time to time, however she does not fully get involved.

Why Sakura Haruno is literally the best written character in Naruto - a rant.

She is the epitome of Narutos meaning.

So, main question is, what is Naruto about? On most surfaces level - about fox-boy having adventures, but that's not why most of us fell in love with the story. Below fox-boy, was fighting against your odds, learning, failing, getting back up, trying and becoming stronger, and most importantly about this quote:

"You dont have to be born a genius, you can become one".

This is what Naruto was about.

Arc with Haku and Zabuza? Find someone worth fighting for and become stronger for that person.

Chunnin exams? Naruto gives his all against Neji, to prove him, that you don't have to be born special, you can become special.

3rd Hokage vs Orochimaru - will of fire, that pushes you to protect your family, will keep the village alive.

Naruto vs Gaara - you can be hated and ignored all your life for your weakness, but if you keep trying people will notice you.

And so on and do forth.

But then we learned that Naruto was born to hokage and an Uzumaki. He got shit ton of chakra and a LITERAL beast in him to protect him. He was born great and to be great.

He failed his own narrative.

Menwhile Sakura was born a civilian, a noone, no magic eyes, no beast to help, no clan to learn from, nothing. She was an annoying girl with no aspiration. Thats it. Everything else she has is just her hard work and dedication. She become stronger than most of people "born great", just by trying to help people she cares about.

She is everything Naruto was set-up to be.

Is she a perfect person? No. And this is exactly what makes her a perfect character.

She's is flawed, she's sometimes emotional, she's not always confident and not always THE BEST BECAUSE PLOT.

SHE IS THE MOST HUMAN AND THE MOST INSPIRING.

And its annoying af when people dont understand her character, because that shows they didn't understand the story AT ALL.

She did her best and made mistakes but grown because of them.

Oh i was weak and couldn't protect my friends when they needed me? I'll do my best now, and try to be better next time.

She didn't give up and decided "well I'm weak so I'll stay that way". She trained under the strongest kunoichi of her time, who was beating her till she was unconscious and had many of her bones broken, because "Tsunade can heal her later".

Sakura from beginning would just give up, because 1) why bother when she can be pretty and 2) it hurts and takes time so it's easier to give up.

But she has grown.

AND THE WORST OF ALL IS that she gets shit for everything Naruto is praised for.

Naruto is understanding Sasuke and wants him to be back - great friend.

Sakura does the same (she understands him even more in first part- she is the only one who know that Sasuke is about to leave the village)- delusional SIMP (even when it was stated in manga that she didn't want him to herself, she wanted to safe him).

Naruto throws himself into fight he has no chance in to be a distraction - WOW SO SMART. HE IS GREAT.

Sakura does the same - weak. Delusional.

Naruto is always getting help during fights - he wins by himself.

Sakura gets bit of help from Chiyo (even when Chiyo stated herself that Sakura didn't need her) - WELL SHE DID NOTHING, IT WAS CHIYOS FIGHT.

Naruto is rude to everyone, BUT GROWS FROM IT- he was just a kid, that doesn't matter. He is a different person now.

Sakura was rude to someone, qpologies and grows from it - ITS UNFORGETTABLE. SHES A B*TCH.

What you all expected her to do?

- She is weak! - she became strong. BUT NOT AS STRONG AS THE STRONGEST, so its shit.

- She's rude to Naruto and made fun of a orphan - she was one of first people who cared about Naruto and opened a clinic for children's mental health - BUT WHEN SHE WAS 12 SHE SAID BAD THING SO STILL A B*TCH.

- She couldn't help Naruto and Sasuke in forests of death - she became a healer - BUT SHE DIDN'T HEAL EVERYONE EVERYTIME.

- She is useless - she isn't, she saved many people (including Naruto), and was especially useful during pain invasion - BUT WHEN NOONE COULD DO A THING AGAINST PAIN SHE COULDN'T ALSO SO SHES TRASH.

She gets trashed for things other people do and noone even bats an eye.

- But she punched Naruto! - so did Guy to Lee but you love them both and their relationship.

I've never seen someone call guy "abusive".

- But she was mean to Naruto! - so was everyone else, but I've never seen them risk their life to safe Naruto or his dream.

- But she only cares about Sasuke - no, no she doesn't, she cares for MANY PEOPLE like Naruto, Shikamaru ect. She even takes Naruto's side against Sasuke.

She also did many shitty things, don't get me wrong (like fight against Ino, I think she needed this to bloom, but it was indeed shit behavior), but so did everyone else.

Example - Naruto:

TALKING LIKE THAT TO A CHILD WHO LOST ALMOST EVERYTHING????? UNFORGETTABLE. RIGHT? Right?

About people like Sasuke, Gaara, Hinata, Neji, 3rd Hokage ect. I'm not going to talk because it will be material for whole different posts and it's already getting too long.

In summary:

You all are just Nejis from chunnin exams.

"Either you are born perfect or die a failure."

You all are just villagers form beginning of the series.

"WELL SOMEONE DID A BAD THINGS AT THE BEGINNING AND WAS WEAK SO I HATE THEM"

You all didn't understand Naruto as a story at all.

She is a perfect character form Naruto's definition - a noone who became important.

I had to speak up. In my time in the naruto fandom I have seen a surprisingly large number of people who defend Sakura Haruno, AKA the butt of the series, AKA the most useless ninja in all of naruto...

And I am here to show you why she's a shallow, annoying,cocky, selfish pièce of trash that has no use

"Sakura isn't useless, anyone who says otherwise only seen naruto through reels"

The famous line that every sakura fan says, as if the manga says otherwise.

In the bell test, Sakura has done nothing other than freak out when she was under kakashi's genjutsu and freak out again when she saw sasuke

That's it, she didn't help or anything.

In the land of waves arc, she hasn't done anything other than show off to sasuke and get cocky just because she can climb the tree ( which is because she has little chakra to begin with)

Which is ironic considering she had to be saved by them multiple times.

In the Forest of death all she did was getting beat up long enough for inoshikacho and sasuke to save the day, this is an example of kishimoto hyping up sakura only to let us down. She was giving a speech how THEY will be watching her back

Only for her to get saved, again

In the chunnin exams sakura "tied" with Ino only because naruto shouted her name. Ino 100% deserved that win because she used her techniques and strategies. That doesn't make sakura look good, it only shows her as an arrogant brat who can't do anything on her own

In the konoha crush all she did was to break naruto outta the genjutsu and be saved again by sasuke

In the sasuke retrieval arc, all she did was to cry to sasuke and guilt trip him and make it all about her

I have to give her credit for beating sasori and making the antidote for kunkaro but that's about it through 90% of shipuudin

In the tenshi bridge arc all she did was to get hit by kabuto's flying ass and get hit the 4 tails

In the akatsuki suppression arc, she did nothing

In the pain arc all she did was to heal some people which I WILL give her credit for that but that's about it. The problem is that if sakura was only depicted as a healer she won't get half the hate she gets now. But she is not. She either doesn't contribute or be a liability. Like in the pain arc, she didn't contribute to the fight, all the fighting she did was punching a centipede. Even konohamaru helped and he's 12

In the 5 kage summit, all she did was to drug her teammates and go after sasuke ALONE and saying she'll kill him only to be saved TWICE by kakashi and naruto on the same day

NejiHina Week 2023 Sneak Peeks!

Day 1: Mission Together

To say Neji was tense was an overstatement, and the bitter thoughts intruding his mind, although nothing new, haven’t plagued him since his humiliating defeat at the chunnin exams almost three years before. He had been lucky back then, that the byakugan could only see through walls and not through his thoughts, he used to think really nasty things about his uncle and cousin.  

Right now, well, truly it was ever since receiving his orders, his thoughts were as nasty, no, they were nastier. And Neji could even boast about how larger his range of nastiness had become since he stopped isolating himself, judging his person to be far above such things as friendship as he used to do pre-chunnin exams and being miserable as result. Neji had spent the last two years joining the likes of Shikamaru, Lee, and worst of all, Kiba in outings to have fun with the boys (a concept once foreigner). Although his vernacular of awful thoughts had expanded, the list towards such thoughts were driven had shortened. 

Hinata-sama, after all, had no fault if her lord father, Hyuuga-sama, was completely out of his fucking mind. 

In truth, if Hyuuga-sama’s decision had any victim (figuratively, emotionally even, literally? No. She would never be victim in a strict sense, not in Neji’s watch no sir) it would be poor Hinata-sama.  

Of course, it was Neji’s sworn duty to stop any harm to come to her, and even if Hyuuga-sama didn’t have sent him with her to that incredibly stupid risky diplomatic visit to Kumo, Neji would have gone to the Hokage himself and demand to be put in that mission. Cursed seal be damned, his brains were already frying trying to understand the reasoning behind sending Hinata-sama to that place, to that people. 

“Neji-nii-san,” her sweet voice brought him back from his internal whirlpool of cursed thoughts of murder, “please stop, otou-sama will notice your killing intent and misinterpret it.” 

“There is nothing to misinterpret, Hinata-sama.”

Day 2: Magic

She swept the flowers adorning his dead body, white chrysanthemums and lilies falling on the floor, but Hinata only noticed her hands were shaking when she tried to undo his haori’s knot. From all the way too many times she imagined herself doing that, in her fantasies his skin was never cold and hard like marble under her fingertips. 

Hinata had to stop herself for a moment there, taking big gulps of air and trying to suffocate the hysterical bubble of despair growing inside her throat, only noticing that tears ran free down her cheeks when Neji’s crisp white linen shroud stained. 

Had she been in a reasonable mind and not insane with soul shattering grief, she would have stopped there, she’d know that she should never let herself see what was under the fabric, but she didn’t stop, and she’d never forget. Sobbing silently, she leaned towards him, her back bending forward until her forehead met his, now, as unmarked as hers. 

Was that betrayal, what she was about to do? Ensnare him with chains far heavier than the one that used to bind and cage him. Would he hate her when he came to learn what she was about to do? She prayed that he would. Hinata would take a living Neji’s hatred a million times over his love from beyond the grave.

Day 3: Dating

What?” he asked, finally looking at her and revelling to Hinata with his tortured expression how teasing her was taking the toll on him too, she wanted to reach down and discover for herself how much. She loved how dominating he could be, but it could also be frustrating when he got in one of those moods.  

Neji sighed and pillowed his head on her thigh, threads of chestnut hair falling on his eyes, clearly amused by her flushed cheeks and obvious impatience “do you want something, Hinata-sama?” 

And then, holding her gaze and with a small smile playing in his lips, he flicked her clit for the first time, finally. 

How Hinata didn’t come instantly was a mystery to her. 

She squeezed her eyes shut, enduring the violent waves of pleasure as he kept moving his finger in the pattern he found out wouldn’t get her there too fast, but would rend her completely defenceless against his power over her. 

“Ahhh” she panted, that was torture, absolute torture, she wanted to cry she wanted to push him to the floor and ride him all night, she wanted- 

Suddenly, Hinata found herself pressed against a wall, her husband using his free hand to push the silk away from her other thigh as he opened her legs wider and kissed her feverish skin of her inner thigh. She threaded her hands in his hair, pulling off his headband, uncovering the birdcage seal, something that caused so much pain, for so many years, she never thought that seeing it up-close would one day take such an erotic meaning.

Canonically, in Part 2, Sasuke has acknowledged Naruto, Karin, Suigetsu and Juugo. That’s all. I am not that possessive SNS shipper who just ignores other facts and focus only on mine (Well, Most of the SNS fans don’t). If that’s the case, I don’t have to bring up Karin here.

Well, it's funny that she didn’t bother to develop her Genjutsu breaking ability after Sasuke’s acknowledgement in part 1 which was as clear as a day in chapter 693. 

So, why couldn't she develop this aspect of her skills and break Sasuke’s genjutsu??? Why did she fell down like a dead log???? Sasuke acknowledged her before 4 years, right??? Now she is back to square one... That is... Being Useless!!!!

I came to the conclusion that you lie about shipping SNS is because your account is fairly new with no content which screams ‘A Troll Account’ which was specifically created to target anti SS people like me, I’ve seen many. If not... then ‘I am Sorry’... But thanks for not making this ask into an abusive one though.

If you truly ship SNS as well as SS, you should know that I absolutely detest SS. I even mentioned it in my blog title. Why bother sending me an ask regarding SS? Like you could’ve easily ignored my anti SS contents and focus only on SNS contents. Otherwise you could’ve blocked me entirely.

I have no qualms about bringing out any panels starting from Chapter 1 to Chapter 699 for discussion. Because I never felt insecure by any of the panels that could affect my ship. I wish you could also do the same and find the difference between how Sasuke was treating other characters and how he treats Sakura. 

I am not an SK shipper. I am an absolute SNS shipper through and through. That’s my OTP. 

But I won’t neglect the fact about how both Naruto and Sasuke behave with other girls though. Sasuke treated Karin much better than how he treated Sakura combining Part 1 and Part 2. He never called Karin ‘Annoying’. Naruto treated Sakura so much better than Sasuke. That’s the fact. 

Sakura and Hinata were all dispensable people in this series. Compared to them Karin was much more useful because she helped Sasuke not only in healing but to sense Chakra, lies, she can also detect enemies’ abilities and she can hold enemies using her Chakra Chains just like Kushina!!!! Yes, She was just like Sakura when it comes to the desire of having to get under Sasuke’s pants. I won’t deny it. But Karin is the better kunoichi compared to Pinata and SakuTrash by million times when it comes to Skillsets.

Yes, I will still say, Sasuke never acknowledged Sakura except for that only time in Chunin Exams Arc. Compared to her Karin got much more acknowledgement from Sasuke. With Naruto I don’t even have to compare.

NejiTen headcannons pt 2; because yes

Yes, welcome to part 2 of my delulu, please enjoy my head cannons for my OTP. If you need part 1 here it be. part 3 is spicey.

Here are my Tenten Head Cannons and some Neji Head Cannons that don't completely go against cannon (more like add ons to the cannon to add some spice) that I use for my fanfics. They remain pretty consistent throughout (give or take a few characters).

1. Their first kiss was an impulsive mistake 😬. I could see Tenten being overly excited about an achievement, or Neji does a huge favor for her (his love language is acts of service and gift giving) and impulsively kisses him due to be wrapped up in the moment. Especially when they’re like just turned sixteen, so think right before Shippuuden. Neji is surprised, but doesn’t push her away or offers any kind of repulsive reaction. In fact, it didn’t register in Tenten’s mind that she had potentially taken Neji’s first kiss at all (oblivious but hey, still love her). When Neji asked her about it, she had apologized for the sudden action. They both learned it was each other’s first kiss. Because he’s awkward, he keeps to himself that he likes it. Naturally, this happens around Gai, Lee, and maybe even Shikamaru to which they’re all looking at him with a shit eating grin.

2. Tenten’s love languages are words of affirmation, quality time, and physical touch. Words of affirmation we can see in the anime; Neji is the one usually praising her for her abilities (in his own way). She also likes to boast about Neji and his abilities to others since she is…always with him (side note: Even though Rock Lee and Pals/Naruto SD is not really cannon, it more of just a gag show to highlight Team Gai in a comedic light and separate the seriousness of the main story; Neji and Lee both praise Tenten quite a lot in this show. They boost her up so much where she’s like “omg me? Really??”.) Kay, back to how they’re always together; Like, c’mon. You mean to tell me that these two aren’t always together just for training? They definitely spend a lot of their days off together. Whenever something pops up they just so happen to appear together? They could be at a tea shop, a hot spring, lying in the grass at the training fields as Neji meditates or Tenten sharpens her kunai. Hell, Tenten’s hobby is fortune telling, she probably reads Neji’s fortune when she’s bored or if he feels like indulging her. If Neji is running errands, or training with Hinata and Hanabi, he will make time to check in on Tenten afterwards and surprise her with her favorite dumplings or sweets. For physical touch, I can see Tenten hanging off of Neji’s shoulders or holding onto his arm when they are together. She also plays with his hair. Neji being awkward, will do no more than hold her hand in public (but even then he didn’t get comfortable with that until after the war). But also, for me, I think about the dream she had and the final scene with Neji:

It took his touch and his words to get her completely engulfed within the genjutsu. This is the only scene in that whole episode that her eyes are completely dark. She IMMEDIATELY FOLDS TO HIM after all that (granted the build up what her proving and wanting to save everyone with her dream teammates believing her when she claims she’s in a genjutsu but also Neji is alive and I think that’s the first falling point for her, not the saving them part). But thus also tells me that she is completely comfortable with Neji’s touches, probably because when they are alone, he’s casually physically interacting with her and because he’s fucking dead in the main cannon she will miss his touch. shhh let me have this please.

3. They started secretly dating after the second Chunnin exams. I will leave you with this for the explanation:

The way I fucking SQUEALED at my screen when I played this game and saw this. You can’t tell me SHIT at this point. Let me sink with my ship alright? Neji didn’t deny it either. I think neither of them denied it. I will replay the game just because lol. Nothing gets past Itachi Uchiha, we know this.

3. Shikamaru figured out they were secretly dating right away and he hold a great friendship with Neji to a point. I could see him asking Neji outright if his speculations were true; to which the Hyuga would brush him off until he got tired of the Nara teasing him. When he asked Neji why they were keeping it a secret I could see Neji saying he didn’t want anyone butting into their business. But also, in his shinobi mind, if they made it obvious, it could be dangerous for them if they went on missions; but then, Neji slipped up:

He didn’t have to, but he did. And continued to hold her until he was certain she was alright. I also have it written in my fan fictions that Shikamaru and Neji share that genius book smart friendship where they can read each other very easily. It’s cannon that Neji is shit at card games and strategy games, which I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hyuga sought advice from Shikamaru for certain things pertaining to his work and Tenten. Shikamaru also is very good at keeping secrets, so Neji and Tenten didn’t have to worry about him blabbing like Gai and Lee. I also think after this scene, Lee and Gai had confronted Neji about him doting on her after she almost drowned in the water prison. BUT ALSO, this is a parallel to the first rounds of chunnin exams! When Temari threw Tenten across the room, Lee caught her. This time, Neji acknowledges that Tenten is at her limit, saves al of them, and goes out of his way to catch her and again continues o hold onto her to make sure she's okay. And it's expensive as hell to animate scenes that drag on like this, and they chose this panel to drag the animation out for. This slow burn was killing me when I saw this episode.

4. Neji is book smart and Tenten is street smart to balance the partnership. Personally, I love that Shikamaru and Tenten share that “street smart” mentality; in the data books Tenten has a higher IQ than both Neji and Lee. She’s very intelligent but would rather have others do the thinking for her “point and I’ll shoot” type of thinking. BUT 👏🏼IN 👏🏼THEM 👏🏼STREETS she is a menace, which is also probably why Neji is always with her to make sure she doesn’t get into trouble while she’s running the block. I could see Shikamaru and Tenten understanding that which leads to a friendship; so to recap, Shikamaru knows, but understands why they’re keeping it under wraps. He’s like the reminder of when the sent of their relationship is in the air/obvious when they are on missions or in public.

5. Neji felt threatened by Sasuke as gennin when Tenten found him cute. She didn’t verbalize it out loud, but he probably knew she would find the Uchiha cute. Since they were young teens when they first took the chunnin exams, it wouldn’t surprise me that Neji was a bit annoyed that Tenten was looking at him, almost as if “how dare he”. I wouldn’t be surprised if the team had spoken about it; Lee probably complaint about how Sakura liked Sasuke and Tenten probably said she though Sasuke was pretty cool, which irritated the fuck out of Neji. The first sign of jealousy, especially if Tenten was bragging about how cool Neji was for the past year when they first became gennin.

6. There was no way Hiashi didn’t pick up on his nephew having a crush. There is also no way Neji did not bring Tenten around his family. There had to have been some interaction with Hiashi where Neji had brought her to the Hyuga compound as gennin, and again as chunnin. I wouldn't be surprised if Tenten watched as Neji trained with Hinata at times and had conversations with Hiashi. For shippuuden purposes, I wouldn't be surprised if Hiashi had brought up Tenten as a potential marriage partner to Neji and his awkward ass was avoiding the topic completely. In Frequency, I have Hiashi bring it up (implying that he has already spoken to his hard-headed awkward ass nephew about it) but in a way where he is directly talking to Tenten, who is there. I believe Hiashi is a character who follows tradition for tradition sake; he is conditioned to do so as head of the clan, but that doesn't mean he agrees with certain things about Hyuga tradition. The fact that he apologized to Neji after seeing his power and understanding why his nephew was angry at the world, he made it a priority to salvage some kind of relationship with his nephew for the sake of his twin brother. When Neji brought Tenten around, he would see that Tenten was some kind of comfort/light for him and decided that Neji should have a choice of who he chose to have in his life and how close; There's a lot of head cannons/assumptions that in order to preserve the Byakugan, they need to inter marry with other clan members, but for me, it's a dominate gene where the eyes change permanently when activated at a young age (low key, fuck how they brought it up in Baruto, Himawari should've had Hinata's eyes and Baruto should've just had the recessive gene). This was another plot hole I wanted to fill and it made sense to me since people were so hell bent on stealing the Hyuga eyes; the clan is very selective of partners but perhaps that is because it is a dominate gene. Sure, they can marry cousins if they want, but I don't see it as a forced marriage situation unless the arrangement is requested for. Hiashi saw Tenten as a great match for Neji, is all I'm saying. Hiashi knew they were secretly dating, in fact he was the on who told them to keep it a secret.

7. Neji's promise to Tenten during the war was of romantic and platonic intentions. He gave her that un-Neji like smile and thumbs up which means he had to had promised her something big in order for him to do that. AND ALSO they had to had been alone when he made her that promise, right? She was the only character who showed that interaction with him. It probably went something like this; Neji and Tenten had a deep conversation about possible out comes of the war, his death, her death, unheal-able damage...etc. I actually see this being a conversation about their feelings and how if one of them kicks the bucket, they would celebrate their life instead of mourning their death (which is hard) but Neji would prefer Tenten to keep his memory alive, not fixate on his demise. Neji probably also promised Tenten to be by her side always and maybe even promised her his heart (idk on the fence on this one but it would go with them secretly dating headcannon). In the video game, you will run into Tenten still in her feelings about Neji's death after the war. She was probably processing that conversation all over again and now that he was physically gone, she had to come to terms with the fact that she was now alone and had to force herself to move forward. I absolutely loathed how Lee was written to have the most emotional reaction and Tenten and Gai just brushed it off a bit. To make myself feel better, Tenten was probably in Neji's arms, crying her eyes out denying that anything would happen to them and then he made his promise to her that after the war, they would be together as fate willed it to; they've been together all this time. I can see Tenten releasing all of her feeling with Neji himself and him trying to comfort her of any overthinking she was experiencing. He also remined her that she is a very capable ninja and can hold her own without him. WHICH SHE DID IN THE WAR. (I'm still salty about Hinata's meat-bag no jutsu and how Kishi was like MMMMMM Neji can go. But then, proceed to make Tenten single and have promotions where Neji and Tenten were displayed as a matching couple with SasuSaku and NaruHina. Then have the audacity to state that he regretted killing off Neji? Fucking tear my heart out, how could he do my girl dirty.)

In my own au, Neji does go through with his promise of remaining by her side. Between my fics Radio (Trigger warning on this one it's a heavy and unfortunate situation of them as ANBU) and Frequency (The sequel of them picking up the pieces).

We all know that Hinata fans are extremely delusional, but saying that Hinata has any chance with (OR EVEN WORST - COULD WIN WITH) Temari is on a different level....

The simplest explanation is the fact that Temari was promoted to a junin at 17 yo, while Hinata is just a chunin at 32 yo.

There is no "junin exams", to become one, you have to be a chunin that is seen as a strong ninja by your Kage. It's not that Hinata has never participated in an exam, or she just chose not to be a junin, she was never deemed strong enough to be one. Therefore Temari is canonicaly stronger. That should be the end.

And don't come at me with "But NARUTO WAS A GENIN WHEN HE WAS THE STRONGEST 🤓" bullsh*t. To become a junin you have to be a chunin that is strong enough to be promoted. If Naruto was a chunnin in Shippuuden, he would become a junin after Gaara retrieval arc. Hinata was a chunin, so if she was strong enough - she would be promoted. Simple as that.

It should be obvious, but for Hinata Fans obvious is not enough, so I'll try to explain it further. I'm getting tired of people bluntly lying to themselves 🤷‍♀️

In a real fight there are a few key abilities:

Speed,

Strength,

Durability,

Intelligence,

Additional skills (healing, genjutsu, summonigs, etc.)

Fighting style

1. Speed and strength:

Hinata has never been shown to be fast, BUT let's assume her speed to be high, only for the argument seak, but is she faster that Lee? No way in hell.

Are her attacks strong in anyway? No. She uses gentle fist that is a high level taijutsu, but again, is she stronger at taijutsu than Lee? No way in hell.

Why am I comparing Hinata to Lee when it's Hinata vs Temari fight? Because of this one panel:

We will assume that Lee didn't use his maximum speed and strength (although he was really angry at what Temari did to TenTen), but he was fast enough to attack her without Guy stopping him. Guy didn't manage to stop Lee, his beloved student that risked disqualification. Yet, he easily stopped Neji, who was so fast that Hinata didn't even move away from the attack.

Obviously, I'll assume (again, in favor of Hinata) that Guy didn't think Lee would attack or that the attack wouldn't disqualify him (but we know that it will cost him the whole exam if he managed to hit her, as we learned from later) OR Guy has known that Temari can protect herself.

I don't think it's needs any explanation. Lee's kick is stronger than any attack that Hinata can master. Mind you, it wasn't any kick it was his technique:

Both Naruto and Neji had known it wasn't a weak attack because they immediately screamed. If Lee was bearly touching her OR if the attack was slow, they wouldn't make such a fuss.

And Temari stopped it like it's nothing.

2. Durability

We have nothing on their durability, exept that Hinatas is extremely low:

Fight with Neji - she's almost dead.

Fight with Pain - she's almost dead.

War, where everyone was fighting - she's on the floor.

For the seak of the agreement, let's again assume in favor of Hinata, that Temaris durability is just as low (even tho it should be a crime, because Temari is a damn Junin, BUT LETS SAY).

3. Intelligence

Intelligence is obviously Temari. She was smart enough to get into a real mind game (and be VERY GOOD AT IT) with Shikamaru during chunnin exams, and Shikamaru is the smartest.

Meanwhile Hinata....

Had to be reminded to even look at the enemy

And to use her byakugan... her only damn weapon

Let's just say she's not the smartest tool in the shed 🤷‍♀️

4. Additional skills

Hinata has:

Byakugan and... that's it

She has "lion fists", but it's just a waste of chakra because that jutsu HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING.

Temari has:

Her summoning, that can cut the whole forest and kill a person in one sweep

She can FLY

She has her fan that is extremely durable and allows her to channel her wind better

5. Fighting style

Hinata is strictly short distance, with an exception of an air palm that still is short to mid range.

Temari is mid to long distance fighter.

Fight

If that fight was to occur, because of Temaris high intelligence, it would be definitely long distance. Hinata (if she remembers to activate it) would see where Temari is with her byakugan, but it wouldn't amount to sh*t because just seeing her move wouldn't allow Hinata to stop Temaris wind.

Hinata may try to close distance, but Temari is too smart to go into close combat (like she did in chunin exams fight against Shikamaru), and even IF Hinata somehow can get close to Temari... Temari can FLY AWAY ON HER FAN. How would Hinata counter it? By doing an air palm and blowing Temari even further away?

Hinata can't do rotation like Neji, her air palm wouldn't move A WIND THAT CAN CUT DOWN A WHOLE FOREST, and even if it could protect her in any way, she can't do it for a long time, while Temari can spam with her wind for long enough to keep 3rd Raikage away.

But even IF Hinata somehow gets to a close combat, Temari has a fan that can protect her from stronger attacks than Hinatas (like Lee's kick) and a summon that can separate them.

So even if we take all unknowns for Hinats sake - Temari is winning with no difficulty. There is no doubt that Temari slams Hinata to the ground.

Obviously, the winner is Temari. Every Temari would destroy every Hinata with no difficulty 🤷‍♀️

The same goes for Sakura, who would k*ll Hinata in seconds, Ino, who would destroy Hinata with her mind and TenTen who would also win with almost no difficulty, but she deserves her own post 🤷‍♀️

So I have this head cannon that as a teenager, Shino starts “borrowing” Shibi’s clothes, like the black coat and the green over coat, because to me the clothes look a little too big, but big enough that maybe they’re actually Shibi’s. Of course Shibi doesn’t mind but can’t fathom why his son wants to wear his clothes. Thoughts?

Can I just begin with oh my goodness I love this idea! The black coat in Shippuden, he's practically swimming in that thing isn't he? It would make total sense that it belonged to Shibi and he's just like "if that's what you want sure". I cant decide if I want it to come from a place of:

'I can't be bother to go shopping because I don't actually care enough so this will do' kind of way or a:

'I'm very subconscious of what others think and I want to hide in the biggest collar possible' way.

I actually think I like second option because it leads us on to the green coat. Like:

If you look at all the other Aburame's they all have that high collar style coat which I mean, we understand right? That scene in the Chunnin exams were we first see Shino's Kikaichu pour out of his skin really packs a punch, they're trying to hide people freaking out all the time at the hive roaming around makes sense, I'd do the same, but the green coat with the hood up? That's just him...until the war, when you get this:

Like; how freaking hilarious would it be if Shino is the clan's fashion icon? 😂 I would actually laugh a lung out! Can you imagine?

Aburame clan council meeting of the utmost importance before the war:

Shibi: "During the war we need a new look; any suggestions?"

Random Aburame: "Shino's green coat is kind of; nice."

What if Rin and Obito just....didn't know how old Kakashi was. Like what if it just didn't come up. They just think he's short and has an attitude because he's a prodigy, not because he's like. Literally 9. He becomes a Jonin and Minato's like 'wow great job kakashi! Jonnin at 11 years old, I'm so proud!' and Kakashi gets annoyed and Minato laughs and Rin and Obito just think that it's a joke. Why does Rin have a crush on him even though she's 13 and he's 11? because she doesn't know. Why does Obito say that the three of them are the same age? because he doesn't know. When they're younger he doesn't really celebrate his birthday (or any holiday) so Minato just invites him to dinner and gives him something pretty but doesn't make a big deal out of it, so they don't find out then.

Alternate universe where orochimaru watched the chunin exams and just. Called off the konoha crush because watching konoha trip and fall over itself trying to deal with Hyuga Clan Secretish Slavery being exposed in front of the other nations, civilians, and the Daiyamo himself is like.....so much funnier. He comes back and kills hiruzen like two years later just as everything is calming down. Chaotic spiteful.
