I figure since Fragility is on its own timeline it should have its own post. Ah yes, the au of @biscuitbakerbecca 's au Weakness, wherein one dance never happens and the course of the story is changed forever. Or something. Guess we'll have to wait and see :)

⚠️ Spoilers if you still haven't seen the final limited life episodes⚠️
Guys guys guys I have a vision hear me out I love the clockers and it's a tragedy the way they went out but guys Cleo out lived her sons and like imagine if you will an animatic of Cleo singing After All by Christian Ebersole to either Grian or Etho! Like listen to the song and tell me you can't see what I'm about to describe to you.
It opens with Cleo as a ghost walking through the clockers base before stopping at a family picture of her and her sons with Ethos face either cut out , burned away, or marked out before she closes her eyes and opens them again but this time she's standing in front of either Grian or Etho, heck maybe even both of them, as she looks down at them with a burning hatred in her eyes. Circling them as she begins to sing "What would a mother not do for her child what lengths would a mother not go there’s a bond that exists between mother and child with no end to how strong it can grow." and at grow she's standing in front of them again looking at their eyes with a sneer on her lips and tears begining to form in her eyes. Then the next verse starts and it's a flash back to her in the clockers tower holding a baby Scar with little five year old Bdubs looking down at him as Etho holds Bdubs up in his arms and smiles over at Cleo and as it gets to "and find you're looking in your own" it shows baby Scar opening his eyes and looking at Cleo with Bdubs also looking up at her before cutting back to Cleo with Grian/Etho this time with her sneer gone and her full on crying. The next verse starts as she clutches her chest and looks down before sings "And there’s a pain you can’t imagine. A special kind of torture you can feel ,a cut that bleeds from somewhere deep inside you, a past regret you cannot heal." And at a past regret you cannot heal it shows Bdubs dying and scar in shock on his knees holding his older brother trying to wake him up despite himself being hit with arrows before it changes to Cleo blocking Grian from hurting her last remaining son anymore than he's already done.
"And no one guesses all the while you’re praying The little screaming stranger in your arms Might just grow up and save you after all. Might just grow up and save you after all." At this part it's just a flashback of Cleo holding baby Bdubs before changing to ten year old Bdubs and five year old Scar hugging Cleo as Etho walks out on them.
"What would a mother not do for her child? What heights would a mother not climb?" Shows her going to the deep dark before climbing out with the shriekers in hand with Scar and Bdubs helping her out of the hole and back into that little room they were in, you know the one.
"There’s a bond that exists between mother and child and it only goes deeper with time." Could be a close up of Cleo's eye with her timer in it ticking down before she blinks and it flashes zero as the next part is sung "It’s a promise for life between mother and child and to break it there’s no greater pain" this part is sung as she glares over at Grian as Scar's smiling figure is flashed behind Cleo before quickly changing to him crying out in pain with a sword going through him before disappearing "and you’re shaken to your soul With an ache that can’t erase like the tears you never cried but still keep scrubbing off your face." Shows Cleo running over to scar with shining eyes as she tries to avenge him only to be killed by pearl before going back to singing Cleo who is looking down at her hands as they slowly start to turn clear before she looks up and turns her attention to Etho now singing with a sort of defeated and mocking look to herself as if mocking herself for what she couldn't do despite promising she would protect her boys "Cause there’s a pain you can’t imagine. A little talk that keeps you wide awake. That somehow turns to bold determination that you’ll never make the same mistake." With a background of her trying to protect Bdubs to her left and her fighting with scar to her right before lightning flashes them both away as she falls to her knees and sings the rest.
"Some dreams die upon the vine"- a picture of a poppy and a lilac is shown with a heart string tying them together before disappearing with a blue sound wave from a warden or a sword
"Some they never have a chance"- an image of a broken clock with a picture of impulse and Bdubs inside could be seen before it gets blown up
"Sweeter than the sweetest wine"- an alternate future where Cleo wins with her sons by her side flashes before going back to regular Cleo whose arms are now even clearer than before as she screams the next part with a smile on her face and tears continue to fall.
As she starts to sing the next part she slowly gets back up to her feet whipping away her tears as she continues to turn clear and the more she turns more ghostly the more scar and Bdubs come into focus behind her and at the very last save you after all she is completely ghost like and is holding the hands of a young ghostly Bdubs and Scar as she once again glares at Grian/Etho and sings the very last verse.
"What would a mother not do for her child what lengths should a mother not go there's a bond that exists between mother and child, ah but then again, how would you know?" She sings as the focus changes over to Grian/Etho who both in their own way wouldn't understand the bond between a mother and child with Grian being taken by watchers at a young age and Etho being the father that walked out on his two sons.
It would be so flipping heart breaking guys I wish I can animate sometimes

Yeehaw!
When the Cactus Blooms
7. Tall Handsome Stranger
McCoy was working in the main yard with Jim when the man appeared. He was tall and slim, with piercing eyes. When he removed his hat, his hair was nearly black and brushed back from the temples. His pants were black and his shirt dark, though a bit dusty, probably from his walking.
“Howdy!” Jim called out.
“Hello,” the man answered.
McCoy nodded a greeting and kept working.
“What can we do for you?” Jim asked.
“I was told in town that you have work for people down on their luck.” The man smiled self-deprecatingly.
“Sure,” Jim smiled broadly. “Name’s Jim Kirk. I own the Enterprise Ranch.” Jim stuck his hand out and the other man shook it. “This here is Leonard McCoy.”
“I am John Harrison. A pleasure to meet you Mr. Kirk, Mr. McCoy.”
“It’s doctor actually,” Jim said, nodding at McCoy.
“Oh. My apologies Dr. McCoy,” Harrison said with a slightly remorseful look.
“Don’t worry about it,” McCoy waved a hand. “I don’t practice anymore.” Something about the man’s piercing gaze unsettled him.
Silence passed between the men for a beat.
“Well Mr. Harrison, are you hungry? It’s quite a walk from town and still some time before lunch, but I’m sure the ladies could rustle something up—” Jim said.
“Oh no, please don’t bother. I can wait. I’d prefer to work.”
“Ok,” Jim smiled. “Well, what kind of work do you like? Got something in mind?”
“I did a bit of work engineering and improving mechanical things at my last place,” Harrison answered. His face grew sad.
McCoy hid a frown, but couldn’t help but wonder what had happened where Harrison had last been that gave him that look to mention it.
“Perfect!” Jim exclaimed. “Scotty’ll be glad to have someone help him. He’s our engineering genius.”
“Wonderful,” Harrison smiled.
A chill went down McCoy’s back at that smile, but he didn’t know why.
“You good Bones? I’ll be right back,” Jim asked.
“Yeah kid, I’m fine,” McCoy replied. He turned back to their work. Jim led Harrison along to find Scotty. Keenser and a couple of his birds came up next to McCoy.
“Who?” the short man asked, pointing after Jim.
“Man looking for work. Name’s John Harrison,” McCoy told him.
“Hmm.”
“Did ya tell the gals there’d be an extra?” McCoy asked when Jim returned.
“Slipped my mind,” Jim admitted, a flash of embarrassment crossing his face.
“Knew you would forget,” McCoy grumbled. “Good thing Keenser said he’d let them know.”
“Hey Leonard,” Uhura greeted him as he stepped into the dining room.
“Hi. Can I help?”
“Get the plates out? What’s the new man like?”
McCoy turned to the pile of dishes and began to place them around the table.
“Not sure,” he shrugged. “Only met him really. John Harrison is his name. Someone in town sent him our way.”
“We do take people in,” Uhura gave a light chuckle. They had all found themselves at the ranch one way or another. “Think he’ll stay?”
McCoy couldn’t help his frown, but he turned so Uhura couldn’t see it.
“I don’t know.”
It wasn’t long before the sound of laughing voices reached them in the dining room, as everyone came inside for lunch. Scotty and Harrison were the last to join them. They appeared to be getting along quite well. Scotty introduced him to everyone around the table and pointed him to the empty seat by McCoy.
“Hello again Doctor,” Harrison said as he sat.
McCoy gave him a tight smile.
“Not necessary to call me that,” he said politely.
“Right,” Harrison said carefully, “You said you don’t practice anymore. Why is that?”
McCoy’s shoulders tensed and he saw Christine look over at him. Her hand was sliding towards his.
“I’m sorry John,” Scotty said from up the table. “I should have explained to ye. We don’t much talk about the past.”
“As long as you’re willing to work hard, we take you for who you show us,” Sulu added.
“My apologies,” Harrison said with a chagrined look. “That was much too familiar a question for having just met.”
“No harm done,” McCoy said. His heart was pounding in his chest. Scotty was already on a first name basis with this new man?
“He's sure handsome,” Uhura said.
“Yes,” Christine agreed.
McCoy had stayed inside to help the ladies clean up. He dried a plate as Uhura handed it over to him.
“Polite and smart as well, it seems,” Christine added.
“We’ll feed him well. Poor man; so thin,” Uhura said.
McCoy just listened. Scotty had led Harrison off again after lunch, laughing at something as they went. He’d sort of thought he and Scotty had come to some kind of understanding out at the creek. Maybe he had been wrong. They hadn’t said anything to each other beyond McCoy’s round about way of showing his interest in the man. Maybe he had just imagined the agreeable look in Scotty’s eyes.
He sighed.
“Alright Leo?” Christine asked, coming up behind him and placing a hand around his shoulder.
Giving himself a mental shake, he put on a smile and looked at Christine.
“Right as rain sweetheart.”
She gave him a hard stare for a moment but dropped it.
Harrison became a fixture at the ranch over the following week. He charmed the ladies, helped everywhere he could and seemed to put everyone at ease. Except McCoy. And maybe Spock, but McCoy couldn’t be completely sure about that.
Jim gave Harrison one of the small cabins to sleep in and McCoy could hear him and Scotty, chatting and talking over complex things, sitting out front in the cool evenings.
McCoy was polite, his upbringing wouldn’t let him be anything but, and yet he still felt something. Something bothered him about the man named John Harrison.
“Thought I’d find you here.”
McCoy startled. He’d been down deep in his thoughts, staring into the creek, sitting by one of the big trees. The moon was high, and the stars were out.
“What’s bothering you Leo?” Christine asked as she sat down on the ground next to him and smoothed her skirt.
“Nothing,” he said quickly.
“You’re a terrible liar, honey,” Christine laughed at him. “You’ve been moping all week. What is it?”
“Nothing,” he said again, and turned back to watching the water in the creek as it flowed around some rocks.
“Did he turn you down?” she asked quietly. “You said you were gonna say something last week when you were both gone…”
“No,” McCoy said again. “No. We- I- I indicated how I- how I… well, you know,” he stammered out. “I thought I got myself across clearly. I… I guess I read him wrong.” He let out a soft sigh.
Christine put her arm around him and pulled him over until their heads bumped together.
“All week he’s looked lit up about Harrison. I don’t know why I bother…”
“Oh Leo,” Christine soothed. “It’ll all turn out right, don’t you fret.”
In the morning John Harrison didn’t turn up for breakfast. A bad feeling settled in McCoy’s stomach, but he couldn’t explain why.
As the day went by, it was obvious the man had left as quietly as he had arrived.
“Things are missing Jim,” Uhura stated with a worried frown as the men came in for lunch.
“What things?”
“My mother’s bracelet and that pair of cufflinks that belonged to my father.”
“And a pair of my necklaces,” Christine added.
Jim frowned and looked around at the others.
“Are you sure you gals didn’t just misplace them?”
“I wore one of those necklaces to town last week Jim. It was sitting in my top drawer with my handkerchiefs,” Christine said.
“He took’em,” McCoy muttered.
“We don’t know that!” Scotty said.
“The timing is suspicious,” Spock said. “Is anyone else missing anything?”
It turned out everyone was missing something of value.
“I’ll be damned,” Jim said. “Guess we’ll have to be more careful from now on.”
“Should we go after him?” Chekov asked.
Jim was quiet and looked at Spock before answering.
“Yes.”

These two are having a BALL with their Christine/Phantom cosplay.
ID/ Description below
[ID: A beautiful, voluptuous woman in a frothy white dressing gown sits in front of a dressing table. At her feet is a tall, lit candelabra, and another rests on the table in front of the mirrors. Her movements are languid and sensuous as she smiles happily, smelling a rose.
Helen Mirren Voice Over: Barbie has a great day every day.
A man wearing a classic Phantom of the Opera mask and a tuxedo stands against a dark background. He holds another lit candelabra in one hand, the other on his hip in an obviously posed manner. He's smiling widely but seems anxious and desperate to impress.
Helen Mirren Voice Over: But Ken only has a great day if Barbie looks at him.
The man comes to attention as he fixes on a point slightly behind the camera. His eyes go wide and his mouth opens in anticipation as his whole body seems to strain forward. He draws in a big breath and waves desperately.
Ken Voice Over: HI BARBIE!!!
Caption: Hi Christine
The woman sitting at the dressing table smiles widely and wiggles her fingers in casual greeting, leaning toward the camera.
Barbie Voice Over: Hi Ken!
Caption: Hi Phantom
The man in the mask and tuxedo pumps his fist in bro-ish glee, his whole body tensing with the joy of victory.

I tried my best to replicate the post that Tumblr ate earlier.
It’s not as good but you'll get the jist I think. :’)
---
Hi again! I wanted to follow up on my post from yesterday. I’ve been mostly offline since then, and I feel much better now, especially after seeing the thoughtful responses y’all left. Where did you all even come from!? I don’t think I’ve ever posted this account anywhere, haha. But thank you so much. I’m horrendous at taking a damn compliment but I read all the replies and reblogs and I’m just incredibly humbled. You all brought up my mood a lot and highkey made me feel sane again. I’ve been so confused at why everyone in the WEBTOON comments seems to be so mad all the time, it kind of does my head in if I’m being honest.
But please don’t worry about me or Flynn. Or about Nevermore! We’d never change the story to fit what we think the commenters want us to do, for a lot of reasons. The most important of which is. If we had to do that, I think we’d rather just stop making it. What they seem to want is a story we’re not really interested in telling.
Wholesome wlw is a wildly important thing to be able to find if you’re looking for it. That really cannot be overstated. Until very recently, queer characters have been subjected by popular media to a disproportionate amount of anguish and violence. So the concept of seeing two women just, living a safe and fulfilling life together? I get why people want to see that so badly. And there’s so much beautifully written aspirational content for queer audiences out there now, and I’m pleased to death over it. But the thing is, it’s just not what we’re making.
Nevermore was always intended to be a dark gothicky romance with horror elements. Like Wuthering Heights, or Phantom of the Opera. Because those were the stories that always inspired us when we were young. Bloodsoaked stories of melodrama, intrigue, grief, and passion. Those stories would captivate me and get me asking all kinds of questions. Why can’t the Phantom be a beautiful woman? Why does Christine have the agency of a desk lamp? Why can’t sapphics have something cool like this?
So we decided to make it. Nevermore is not a wholesome romance. It doesn’t try to be. The point was never to explore sapphics having a healthy and (heavy air quotes here) “normal” relationship, like heterosexual couples get to have in real life. We already have that, together, Flynn and I. We live it, everyday.  In Nevermore, what we wanted most was to explore a sweeping sapphic romance full of danger, like heterosexual couples get to have in fiction. That’s why we love those kinds of stories so much, because of how divorced they are from the mundanity of real life. They’re fantasies.
I know that I'm preaching to the choir, aha.
But my point is: if you go to a hardware store to order a cake, you’re probably going to be disappointed. If what you crave is aspirational wlw content, there are so many bakeries you can go to that will give you exactly what you’re hoping for, and more. I especially recommend Muted by Miranda Mundt. It’s also on Webtoon, it’s completed, and it’s free to read.
And please know that I’m not saying to stop reading Nevermore, just maybe to adjust your expectations a little bit. We don’t sell cakes here, but I am pretty sure I've got a few 12ft tall skeleton lawn ornaments in the back if you're interested.

my friend and I were talking about what if jeremy became a guidance counselor when he’s older so here are some random headcanons for that idea
“did you know mr. heere caused the squip incident of 2004?” “no way??? mr. heere wore his pants backwards last week there’s no way he had a squip” “maybe that’s why they don’t make them anymore.”
everyone knows “mr. heere” as the school’s cryptid. too damn tall. his wife is an actress, or is his HUSBAND a game designer??? he talks to himself sometimes. he’s got mountain dew varieties in the first aid kit in his office.
“one time mr. heere just grabbed open circuitry. I don’t know.” <- he’s immune to electricity post-squip
he has a group of ten children who follow him around like lost ducklings
he runs the performance art club (he’s got a hands-off club running approach. He runs it solely so that they’re able to meet every week, because the club can’t exist without a teacher or counselor)
christine stops by it sometimes and the kids are like IS THAT CHRISTINE CANIGULA??? THE FAMOUS ACTRESS??? WAIT SHES YOUR WIFE???
all the kids are swarming her for pictures and autographs and she’s like “jeremy your kids have great taste in musicals”
btw he is married to both christine and michael in this. he wears two rings, one for each of them.
“mr. heere, you sometimes say wife, and sometimes say husband, uh… um… is your partner non-binary?” “oh! sell, uh, you see, christine is, they’re my wife, but my husband is michael, he’s a different person, I’m uh—“ “mr. heere is a player!” “n-no, guys, I’m polyamorous.”
one day the kids mention an indie fighting co-op game and jeremy is like “oh wow that finally came out? my husband worked on it a few years ago.” and the kids are BEGGING him to bring his husband in. as if his husband is a toy for show-and-tell.
