This made me weirdly happy if only because the last time I drew Trunks (or any DBZ character for that matter) was waaaaaaaaaaay back in grade school where dragon ball was at peak influence for me (drawing the eyes was always the fun part, because my grasp of anatomy back then made anything I drew with muscles look inhuman).

Now that I find myself drawing a DBZ character again after the passing of Toriyama-sensei... it feels good knowing i'll get to do it justice this time around.

RIP, Toriyama-sensei. Thanks for the great childhood memories.

was telling a friend about the double today and got to the part where jiang li stops xue fangfei from killing herself by saying she has to live because she can't get revenge if she's dead. and my friend was like wait what french novel does this remind me of? and i was like babe. it reminds you of the count of monte cristo. the double is better though.

Mum bought a Soya Sauce Chicken (酱油鸡/豉油鸡) chopped up into two boxes with three packs of savoury rice plus a bowl of Fish Ball Soup to offer to the gods and ancestors. As with our Chinese custom, there are joss papers (金纸) and hell money (冥鈔) to be offered (burn) later. After the prayer, the dishes will become our lunch.
