Prophecy (1979)
"It's a mutagen."
"A mutagen, what is that?"
"Freakism! Freakism, that's what's been going on out there. That's why there's a goddamn salmon five feet long, and a tadpole the size of what a bullfrog should be!"

Tumblr media
Logan can’t stand you.
Ever since you enrolled as Charles’ caregiver, you’ve been a little bug crawling on his skin–itching him in bits.
Logan fucking hates how your generation seems to put so much trust in life like it isn’t all absurdity. He despises how you always seem to be bubbly all the time; breathlessly giggling at the unfunniest shit he had ever watched in his life. He loathes your eagerness to make him smile or laugh - he detests you and your youth.
Or so that’s what he’s been telling himself.
Logan puts all these decoys to bury what he truly feels under the soil–like he always does throughout his life. Tries to hide how his stomach flutters when you tend his wounds, or simply when you get close to him. It suffocates him, you.
You who cooks the very luscious foods for him and Charles every living day–you who take care of Logan as he has his occurring nightmares–you, who is the life he needed all along.
You who had him ashamed of himself when he thought of thoughts of you. Visions of your beautiful figure flustering under Logan. He bet you were soft under those clothes, every inch of you. Bet you smelled better if he got nearer.
So there you have it, false pretense.
Deep down, he knows he’s doing everything for the sake of you. Including this week, when he has to stay in Texas for a few days just to earn extra pennies–again, for you. That’s why he got your picture patched in the car rear-view mirror, after all.
Today, because of several reasons he had not expected, Logan went home a day earlier than what he told you.
When he got home, by home he meant an abandoned smelting plant in Northern Mexico - he thought you were already tucked in your sheets, deep in a slumber.
Oh, he was wrong because when he gets in front of his own bedroom door, it was slightly open with the sound of sighing now and then. He vaguely creaks the door open to paint a bigger picture of what’s inside as he hears another sigh, no, a moan.
Logan swears his breath got stuck in his throat when he catches the sight of you. Your eyelids shut tightly as your body jerked under the covers, another noise escaping your faintly gaping lips. He also notes the slow bumps and bulges in the sheets, moving in a repeated pattern of up and down–your head thrown back almost hitting the headboard.
Are you touching yourself in his fuckin’ bed? His nostrils fumed.
He called your name.
No reaction.
“Kid.”
Logan enters the dim room and gives the bed a light shake.
His act makes you yelp and jolt in surprise; sitting as much as you could in the unorganized space - your hair configured messily - cheeks flushed red. Your bottom lip was red and swollen as if you had bitten something fierce.
With doe-eyes, you devour the sight of the man before you: Logan in his old white tank top, his belt loosened, his graying beard complemented his face so perfectly, and lastly, his deceitful expression.
“What ‘re you doin’, huh?”
Gulping down your own spit, you shrank in on yourself, “L-Logan! I-I’m sorry! I cannot sleep… it’s just - your sheets. The- They smelled so nice. Smelled like you. You find yourself spiraling in this humiliating situation, “You’re h-home.”
Logan’s eyes glance down into your nightgown, then to the bulge in the covers. Your hands, he supposed.
Fuck it, he thought. Logan is already sure he’s going to hell after all. Why not grab a sweet treat to pile it onto his stack of sins?
“Show me what you were doin’.” His voice is deep as he gives the order, making you shiver in arousal.
Still, with utter shyness, you kick the covers to reveal your body. You showed the full piece of your sheer nightgown - your white cotton panties shoved down to your thighs - your hands placed on top of your pussy, which was wet and leaking onto his sheets.
Logan stared at you for a moment then lurked forward. Oh, you could see he was starting to bulge up too.
“Keep goin’.”
The high-pitched noise that left you was embarrassing but it did not stop you from doing what you’re told. How can you? When the man you had been crushing on, your employer, is looking down at you as if you’re his last meal.
You pull your legs up as much as you can, before inserting your finger back into your wet hole, letting your eyes linger on Logan’s face. With his aging lines, he looks more angry and grumpy, brows furrowed and nose wrinkled. Beyond that, he’s focused on where your hand moved. It was so hot—you had never experienced something like this and it felt amazing—but it was not enough.
“A-ah, please. Help– I need–” You let out a plea as you try to run your thumb over your puffy clit. You moan; pleasure rushed through you like a strike of electricity, gasping and keening.
Logan’s head falls forward, as if surrendering. Really, fuck it. He can’t hold back anymore.
After a moment, he gets on the bed–making it let out a noise as he gets closer and closer, “Wha’s that, baby? Ya’ need more?” Logan grabs you by the hips and drags you closer to him, “Need Daddy’s fingers, ‘s that it?”’
“Y-yeah! Need you, so so bad.” The tips of his fingers rubbing your inner thighs and the ghosting feel of his hot breath make you lose any of your critical thinking. Burning your cheeks even warmer than they already were.
Logan gets harder as he wonders how many times you have been doing this before. Trying to finger yourself on his bed while he was away—while he was earning money for you.
A ‘mhm’ is all he grumbled out before his mouth was on your pussy, lapping at your labia and you cry out for the hundredth time.
“Ah!” There you finally understand why everyone was all in a rage about getting eaten out. This is everything, indeed.
”Dirty fuckin’ girl. Touching herself in an old man’s bed.” Hearing him, you look down to grab a handful of Logan’s turning gray hair and hike up your nightgown even more as Logan’s tongue pushes inside you. Literally, devouring you.
“L-Logan- ’M gon’ cum! ‘M cumming!”
The older man hums in response, squeezing your plump thighs—feeling like a goddamn animal. Your back arches on the mattress while one of his hands creeps up to fondle your breast, and you explode.
He could feel your cum drizzling out and even got some of it on his scruffy beard. The world is still spinning around you but he does not give you a chance to rest. Logan shoves your legs higher and places kisses on your sensitive button. “Logan…”
“Not my name, sweet’art.” You cry out when you feel one of his fingers pushing into your hole - how it barely fuckin’ fits makes your body tremble with all the pleasure coursing through your veins.
He chuckles in glory as he glances up at your teary-eyed expression, still pushing his finger into reaching deeper, “Yeah- Your fingers too small?” Logan reads you so easily, “Need Daddy’s fingers to the job, huh?” He murmured, teasing his tongue around where his finger stretched you.
When he bobs his head up, you can see how his beard is glistening with your slick under the moonlight, “Y’sure you want this, kid?”
“Y-yeah!” You said embarrassingly quickly. But oh, little do you know, this is the best thing in Logan’s life.
Logan is breathing hard as he gets out of his clothes, nodding and grinning at you, “Been wantin’ do to this f’r a while.”
You gasp when he climbs after you, spreading himself out above you, “Y-you do?”
Legs wrapping around him, the both of you slid together against each other and Logan finally kissed you.
His tongue wrestled around your mouth, nipping and licking—ravaging you so sweetly, “Y’ve no idea.” You could feel his fingers probing at your heat. They pressed inside gently, only the tips of it, teasing you. Making you moan into his lips.
“D-Daddy- Gimme more, please—” He was about to continue teasing you but hearing you say that word so meekly, gives him a whiplash.
He groans out strings of curse words before easily manhandling you into a position, “F-Fuck. Daddy’s gon’ give it t’ya.” Logan rolls you into facing the wall—himself behind you.
“Ya’ like this, darlin’?” You could feel his hips circling, his large cock sliding down between your thighs. He continues nipping at your ear as he rains you with praises, “C’mon. Use your big girl words, baby. Let Daddy hear ya’.”
You can’t even breathe right and end up whimpering in response, “Yeayeayeah… Like it a lot!”
Logan hummed, pleased at your reply—his girl being so fuckin’ obedient, “Aight’ breath for me now. Jus’ let Daddy slip right in? Ya’ want that? Wan’ to make your old man happy?”
Your head bobs erratically as your smaller fingers wrap around his; Logan’s gone, he pushes inside of you with a throaty groan. The head slipped inside easily. You can’t believe how good it feels when he stretches you. As he keeps pushing, his large hands palm your chest and pinch hard your peaking nipples.
“T-Tha’s it, sweet girl. Take Daddy’s cock.” And you’re gone too, your eyes rolled back while Logan ruts into you in short, sharp motions, easing your figure with kisses to your neck and shoulders.
Tears fall down your cheeks in utter bliss, “Feel s’good, Daddy.” Your whole body is slick with sweat, baby hairs sticking on your forehead, and Logan’s chest is glued to your back.
He fills you up into the brim and it is almost like you’re overflowing with pleasure. He moves you again so that you feel more comfortable, “Gon’ go little faster, that okay, kid?”
You sob into his pillows and nod, “Yeah… Daddy, please, yeah—”
He pulls out far enough that even the head barely remains inside. Then he drives in deep again. Hard and fast, pounds into you, making your skin slap as your bodies meet. He sets a mean, cruel pace. He slips out so, so slowly, only to thrust in as hard and as fast as the very first time.
“Ah, fuck, baby, feel so fuckin’ good, so tight on Daddy’s cock,” You blush at how Logan grunts, voice hitching at every thrust.
Logan presses himself up against you, his chest feeling so impossibly wide and thick on your back. His arms wrapped around your body; one hand toys with your nipples, and the other gives your clit rough, hard jerks, ripping even more pleasure out of you.
“Daddy, Daddy, ah—” you plea while turning your head to watch him with hald-lidded eyes.
“Keep sayin’ it, baby, keep sayin’ that,” Logan growls between kisses and latches into you. “Say it. Tell Daddy who’s fuckin’ this pussy open.”
“Daddy!” You whine louder for him. “Daddy, Da- ah!”
Just as you could feel the orgasm being punched out of you for the second time, Logan growls again, snapping his hips for a few last hard thrusts.
You feel how Logan fills you up as deep as he could, his warm cum stuffing you—cock pulsing as the both of you came, hard.
Logan falls onto you suddenly, putting all his bulky figure on top of you, the man’s whole body going lax in the after-orgasm bliss.
The older man huffs over and over; you smile at the sight, you don’t mind at all. His weight feels safe and comforting, protecting you from everything else.
Still, you are relieved when he rolls himself off you. More relieved when his lips finds yours in instant, sensually kissing you—making you know how much you mean to him.
Though, you are not relieved when he comes to the shameful confrontation.
“Y’do this often? Touching y’rself on my bed, kid?”

The Disability Library
I love books, I love literature, and I love this blog, but it's only been recently that I've really been given the option to explore disabled literature, and I hate that. When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be able to read about characters like me, and now as an adult, all I want is to be able to read a book that takes us seriously.
And so, friends, Romans, countrymen, I present, a special disability and chronic illness booklist, compiled by myself and through the contributions of wonderful members from this site!
As always, if there are any at all that you want me to add, please just say. I'm always looking for more!
Edit 20/10/2023: You can now suggest books using the google form at the bottom!

Red Dead History: My problems with it
Red Dead History is a book that does a great job at casting light over the history and background to the scenes, places and troubles we meet in Red Dead Redemption 2. Talking about both the things done well and the things done not so well, what is true to the time and place and what is not.
It is clear that the author knows alot about history and studied it, however there are times where I find it clear he spent more time focused on the real history rather than the in game and thus forgetting facts and drawing wrong conclusions.
When talking about the real life criminals that Dutch and Arthur are based on (Butch Cassidy, Sundance Kid and their gang The Wild Bunch) this very lovely and wrong sentence comes up: "Like Dutch and company, the Wild Bunch undertook robberies primarily for personal gain, not as a moral crusade against capitalism. Butch and Harry, like the van der Linde crew, certianly had a disdain for the corporate titans of their day, but it was desire for their wealth far more than social justice that motivated their heists." (The Wild Bunch, page 86) I do not think the author understood Dutch Van Der Linde very well, I don't think he understood the gang very well.
Dutch is a man based on princips, who can be found on any time of the day reading a philosopher who challenges capitalism and questions what man has become. "Men are fixated on greed, on desire, and on the acquisition not of experiences or pleasures but the ability to acquire." This is Dutch's hero, and he has several interactions with different characters like Mary-Beth, Molly, John, Abigail, Lenny and Arthur reading up quotes and discussing them, praising Miller to the heavens!
If that is not enough, lets look at the very first bank robbery that they commited, they did not keep the money, they gave it to the poor! And they still have their morals, like not robbing the poor, only the rich. We also have the fact that Javier joined the gang because of these morals, because he agreed with them.
While in the end, yes it might have been more for themselves, to get them to Tahiti because they got too big a price on their head, the majority of their time has not been.
Another example, just a bit further down the page that is wrong: "Another parallel to Arthur and Dutch, Butch Cassidy had a pronounced distaste for the racist ideologies so dominant around the turn of the century." While I can agree with him on Arthur, I can't agree with him on Dutch, Dutch is fairly racist, slowing his speech with people of other origins, calling Bronte a slur and "Here we are in this strange land of Papists and rapists." Papists meaning catholics, and the fact that a lot of minorities were hated on due to being catholics. (Read more detailed here)
Now this sentence is followed by: "One Black gambling companion of the gang noted that if anyone treated him unfairly, Butch would "get after them" with furious vengeance." Now that is not at all like Arthur or Dutch who are both in on the "stand up for youself" idea which is why they condone Micah because they expect Javier, Lenny and Charles to stand up for themselves. They ain't going to do anything. Also when they return with Sadie and Micah complains about having to sleep around people of color, Butch would have acted, Dutch and Arthut did not.
Several many pages later while talking about blood feuds we have this line "Like the mysteriously stolen gold from Red Dead Redemption 2" (The Blood Feud, 235) where I would like to point out that it is neither mysterious nor stolen(at least not by who you think). While it is not told in the story, we as players have the ability to learn about what happened to the gold.
On an island not far outside Saint Denis, hidden under a tree in a chest we can find a letter. This letter comes from Lucille Braithewaite and was written in 1803 to a Douglas Gray, whoms story was esencially that of Penelope and Beau, except Lucille was exiled by her family and took her family money, hiding it for Douglas to find and give to an organisation that would abolish slavery.
While it is not common knowledge about the letter, the other two things are, and if you are writing and publishing a book I would expect you to know your things.
A minor problem I have with his writing is that he puts the player experience into unenssesary boxes. For example he talks about the KKK and how Arthur encountered them: "One evening soon after their arrival, Arthur is riding on the outskirts of the dusty plantation town of Rhodes when he notices a constelllation of bright lights in the nearby woods." (The white-hooded menace, 115) He continues to talk about how Arthur curiously dismounts and sees who it is and that the player then has the choice to kill the KKK or watch them die.
While I do understand setting a scene, I think it is such an unessesary thing to add with the timing and place and what Arthur does when reacting to them. Rdr2 is known for being so unique and it feels so wrong to remove that, also because this encounter can happen at any time pretty much anywhere. I have never met them in Rhodes but I have met them in Big Valley twice, one time in chap 6 and one time with John.
Similarly he talks about the racist guy in Saint Denis and how it leads to the "inevitable conclusion of violence, with Arthur beating ot shooting the pamphleteer" (The Paradox of race, 96) as if it isn't completely possible to just walk away. And it isn't like the author never talks about the many choices the player can make, for example he talks about how Rockstar was under critisism because some boys had a kick out of tying up and killing women NPCs in different ways.
Red dead is such a wide experience and I don't understand why he is trying to narrow it down and tie it up into a box when he could have gotten his point across without needing to.
Last point I want to talk about is his idea for red dead three, that being Arthur Morgan in 1871 (Epilogue, 242), where I feel that it is more because he liked the time period more than anything. Arthur would be eight at this point and living with his dad (the one pic we have of him is taken in 1874). From what the author presents of the time period it does sound interesting with a lot of possibilites but I do not think it should be with Arthur if so, maybe with Black Belle or someone.
While I do really like all the history facts that the author brings, I am surprised at his lack of understanding for the gang considering his 3 playthroughs and 300 hours in game.
I have also heard rumors of historical inacuracies, and I am trying to dig deeper into that to see if there is something, but if anyone uses his work for something I would fact check him just to be safe.

Robby leaves Delilah with Cherry as he makes his way to work the next morning. He didn’t tell her about the message from her uncle which he knew wasn’t great but he had every intention of telling her about it that night. Once rounds were finished Robby sat down for just a moment to try and get through some of the paperwork that had piled up. At some point Dana came up to him with a weird look on her face.
“There’s a man in the waiting room, his name is Todd Montgomery and he’s asking to speak with you.” Dana said softly. Robby stared at her in surprise for a moment before taking his glasses off, setting them on top of his head.
“You can let him back here,” he said, hoping he wasn’t about to regret this. “He’s Delilah’s uncle.” Dana nodded in understanding before heading back toward the waiting room. Robby groaned as he stood up, he was not looking forward to this conversation whatsoever. Todd and Dana appeared a moment later, Dana pointing to where Robby stood before walking toward another nurse.
“Hey Robby, sorry for just showing up like this but I really needed to talk to you.” Todd said in greeting. Robby just nodded before gesturing to the staff lounge.
“We’ll have some privacy here.” He said. As they entered the room, both settling into chairs on opposite sides of the table. Robby studied the other man closely, noting that he looked nervous. Todd looked like an older version of Shawn, the only difference being that he had dark brown hair that was lightly streaked with gray. He looked exhausted, Robby could see the dark circles under his eyes. There was an awkward moment of silence before Todd spoke.
“I wanted to thank you for defending Delilah the way you did at dinner,” Todd paused for a moment. “Frankly none of us should have allowed things to go on for as long as they have. I should’ve seen the harm it was doing.” Robby didn’t know what exactly to say at that moment, surprised Todd wasn’t being hostile toward him.
“Why does Mary hate Delilah so much?” Robby asked. Todd flinched a bit before letting out a sigh, raking a hand through his hair.
“Has Delilah ever told you how her parents met?” Todd asked. When Robby shook his head no Todd simply nodded. “Charles and Elle met at a bar, they started hooking up casually and then she got pregnant with Delilah. At the same time Mary had discovered she was also pregnant. Mary never cared for Elle, claiming that she would sully the family image.” Todd took a shaky breath as he tried to find the right words.
“The family image?” Robby asked.
“Everyone in our family has a degree in something ‘useful’. I’m a lawyer, Shawn and Marcus run their respective businesses, Trisha is an architect, Mary is also a lawyer, and Sammi is an accountant. Charles was pre-med when he met Elle but he dropped it when he found out she was pregnant and decided to become a teacher instead,” Todd explained. “Our father was a hardass. We had to always be in some sort of sport, activity, or play an instrument. So when Elle came along with an art degree Mary looked down on her heavily for it.”
“Is that why she looked so annoyed about Delilah talking about her art?” Todd nodded in agreement to Robby’s question.
“She views art like that as a waste of time. Her disdain for Elle only grew when Mary lost her baby around the time Elle found out she was having a girl. It was bad enough they couldn’t even be in the same room for longer than twenty minutes without a fight breaking out. What didn’t help was that Charles was the only one standing up for Elle. It got so bad we didn’t get to meet Delilah until she was two years old.” Robby was stunned by that information, especially since Delilah seemed so close to her family.
“What about Christmas when Delilah was ten? She said her mom and Mary got in a physical altercation.” Robby tried to keep his tone as neutral as possible, which was hard when he was still pissed about how his girlfriend had been treated.
“That was sort of the straw that broke the camels back. Charles and Elle had only really started allowing Delilah around the entire family due to my father being diagnosed with cancer. They made it clear though if we could defend Mary’s behaviour that we couldn’t see their family. Which i’m sure you know they followed through on,” Todd stared down at his hands for a moment, a pained look on his face. “I honestly don’t know why no one ever truly stood up for Delilah when Mary would target her. I don’t know if it’s because her marriage fell apart after she lost her baby or what, but we should’ve done better.”
“You all allowed an adult woman to bully a child, all because she lost her own child?” Robby couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Todd grimaced, his mouth twisting a bit at the anger in Robby’s voice.
“I don’t think she truly hates Delilah, more so what she represents. That and Delilah is like a miniature version of Elle. It's honestly creepy sometimes. Either way we failed her, we should’ve confronted Mary sooner.”  Todd admitted.
“You do understand that as long as I’m around Mary will not be around Delilah.” It was a statement, one which Todd didn’t look too shocked about.
“I told Mary she needs to seek professional help,” Todd admitted quietly. “She went too far bringing Charles into it, and it made me realize that I couldn’t keep up with this ‘we’re family and family sticks together’ mentality our father instilled in us.” Robby raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing him.
“Why did you not step in earlier?” The question held an underlying accusation.
“I don’t know.” Was all Todd could say. The two men sat there for a moment just staring at one another. Personally Robby felt that there was something he wasn’t being told, and it pissed him off. They had stood by and allowed Mary to emotionally abuse Delilah every chance she got, and were only now attempting to defend her. In Robby’s mind it was too little too late.
“As an outsider looking in, every single one of the adults in your family failed Delilah. You stood by as she was targeted by her aunt time and time again. For what? Resembling her mom, being born when Mary suffered a miscarriage?” Todd flinched again as Robby stared at the other man down. “If you want my opinion Todd, all of you need therapy. Clearly there's something deeper going on, and I will be damned if I allow it to harm Delilah further.” Todd didn’t have an answer, shame was clear on his face though. Before Robby could continue laying into him Dana poked her head into the room.
“Sorry to interrupt but we need you in Trauma One.” She disappeared back out the door before Robby could answer her. They both stood staring at one another before silently leaving the room.
Sipping her tea Delilah sighed softly when she heard her phone chime again. Cherry had left to go shopping an hour ago, leaving Delilah some needed alone time. Her family had been blowing up her phone all day. Ranging from apologies to excuses, Delilah hadn’t replied to any of them. It had always bugged her that her family never stood up for her, their main thing had been to try and keep her and Mary separated as much as possible. Which clearly didn’t work. Picking up her phone a smile tugged at the corner of her lips.
[Robby: Just checking. I’m going to grab Thai on the way home so we can have a quiet night in.]
Warmth buzzed in her chest as she sent back a reply. He had been more attentive than usual, which was something she was still getting used to. As she waited for him to return she began working on a commissioned art piece. Art had always been a sort of release for her, something she could simply turn her mind off and be in her own little world. Delilah didn’t even notice Robby getting home a few hours later. Clearing his throat Delilah looked up a smile on her face when she spotted him with the take out bag.
“Hey handsome, how was work?” Delilah clicked her tablet off before standing up and heading toward the kitchen where Robby was laying out the takeout.
“Same old shit as always,” Robby chuckled, pressing a kiss to her mouth. “Your Uncle Todd came in asking to speak with me.” Delilah frowned at that.
“What did he want?” She asked. Robby replayed their conversation watching her face as she simply stared at him. There was a moment of silence as she tried to digest the information she was given. It made more sense now why her aunt didn’t like her but it still felt weird.
“I meant what I said about Mary not being around you,” Robby said. “I’m not going to let someone be around the woman I love if all she’s going to do is abuse you.” Delilah’s fork paused halfway to her mouth, staring at him shocked. Earlier that moment Cherry had helped her come to terms with the fact that in the last two months she had fallen in love with Robby. She just hadn’t expected him to love her back.
“You love me?” She whispered, almost afraid of the answer. Robby reached out gripping her thigh.
“I love you Delilah.” He said smiling at her. Abandoning her takeout Delilah crawled into Robby’s lap to bury her face against his neck. They sat like that for a few minutes, Robby rubbing soothing circles on her back.
“I love you too.” She murmured. Robby simply tightened his arms around her, pressing a kiss to her temple. Delilah couldn’t remember the last time she had been this happy or content. They sat in silence just enjoying one another's company.

Taking advantage of the fact that you reopened your questions, I've always wanted to ask you if you plan to show more of your Brawl Beasts OCs. Any lore or something caught my attention. I hope the question isn't too personal.
EHEHEHEHHEHEHHE twirls hair omg anon,,,,.,.,.,,., flutters my eyelashes at this question
I don't talk a lot about my OCs because I got this mental illness called "being a people pleaser in fandoms" but since anon has so graciously opened the floodgates.... :3
Tumblr media
Brawl Beasts is a story of mine (in which I hope to make it a real series someday) that centers mostly around Cederick H. Gray, a 25-year old bear that's the local fish stocker just trying to live a normal life. He has a routine of getting up, going to work, working all day, going home, and then going to sleep.
He doesn't ask for much, he just wants to fit in with everyone else but his massive size making him a klutz makes it harder to do that.
That all changes when he spots a swan running away from a bunch of authorities, and they exchange glances, a sense of foreign deja vu that leaves him confused and distracted for the rest of the day.
And about a day later, while he was completing a delivery, some authorities approached him out of nowhere for questioning about a mysterious incident from 13 years ago.
He attempts to pacify the authorities while they were trying to take him in, saying the truth that he had no idea what they were talking about, the swan lady then comes to his rescue and high-end chase sequence commences as they try to run away from authorities.
After finding a lonesome alleyway to take a breather in, Cederick dreads about the fact that he's now a criminal on the run, and the swan tells him to suck it up, because this is his life now.
Angry and confused, Cederick refuses to entertain the swan's questions and keeps bringing up the fact that the life he's spent trying to get just right is now ruined.
She then makes Cederick question the fact that he has no recollection of anything 13 years prior. Only vague flashes that are part of an incomplete picture, and it works as he mulls it over. He then questions his existence and what exactly is he, and she extends her hand, saying she could help him find out.
Cederick reluctantly agrees, and she finally introduces herself as Francesca "Cheska" J. Yellow, and that's where the story of Brawl Beasts begins.
Tumblr media
All in all, the story of Brawl Beasts is an action-packed adventure where him and Cheska must travel to different places to puzzle pieces of his missing memories altogether, to figure out what had happened 13 years ago all the while avoiding the people that want to either capture them, or just straight up kill them for snooping around. And to do that, they need help from three others;
Matthers "Matt" D. Timber-Wolfe, a weapons specialist hitman that was blackmailed to join in order to track and sleuth down the people who may have knowledge about what happened 13 years ago,
Charles "Fuzz" G. Fuzzford, a doctor to help with anything medical related the group may need... Well, he would've been a doctor if he could just pass the exams-
And Hazel "Zel" A. Brown, an ex-con now specializing in working and fixing tech. Despite being the one to recommend her, Cheska doesn't seem enthusiastic about seeing her.
Tumblr media
I honestly think that because of the topics and the general tone of the story, it'd be rated 17+. Which, is to be expected because it's literally called "Brawl Beasts" lmao
I unfortunately do not have a lot of art of these guys unless I count old outdated artworks that have no relevance in the current story, because I've rewritten this thing like. 10 times by now I think... after all, this concept of mine has been around for 6 years already-
And once I reveal more about it, you'll actually see connections from this story that I took to put in my AUs lmao, this is like, my own version of what City of Metronome is to Tarsier Studios
Anyways random art dump that's still kinda relevant (featuring my friend Megi's mushroom oc, Gimo)

Chapter 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sun was scorching hot, and there wasn’t a single moment where the vertical wrinkles between your brows had stopped creasing ever since you got here. Those Pinterest-inspired outfits you had saved on your albums weeks before would have been a mess if you hadn’t done a double check on your outfit today.
You were especially keen on trying out this one outfit where it paired high-waisted jeans with an oversized sweatshirt because it would look adorable, especially with a claw-clip bun hairstyle, but that would have made you drenched with sweat as it confined all that heat. Instead, you went with a cute embroidery off-shoulder frill trim crop top in white with basic denim jeans.
This whole motorsport event was something you had only seen on television every weekend. Being able to experience it in real life and seeing the hype with your own eyes made you feel all giddy, even though you weren’t a fan of it. It was only then that you knew that Formula 1 had its own little branches.
They were listing out names on the big screen with a picture of every driver. You were pretty sure you were the only one squinting your eyes trying to read those names just so you would be more familiar with the names and team involved in Formula 2. The paddock pass you had hanging on your neck was used as some sort of fan as you kept on flapping it in front of your face, seeking a little breeze in the hope of cooling down the heat.
With one hand holding your travel-sized sunscreen, you stepped aside from the roes and lines of people to take a breath. There were people walking past you within every minute, each of them wearing a different colour of shirt, indicating the different team they were supporting. Those team logos that you saw on the shirts were not the same ones as the ones you had seen earlier.
"Checking the driver out?"
Your frown disappeared the second you heard a voice too close to your ear while you were staring at the on-going interview that was held with two well-known drivers wearing red shirts. The logo on the shirt was familiar to you as it didn’t take a genius to spot that. It was familiar to every human being in this world. The classic black horse on a yellow shield background.
"Sorry?"
"Oh, sorry. I thought you were checking out the drivers like what I’m currently doing."
His reply was very nonchalant. He wasn’t even looking at you. He was staring at the two drivers with his hands on his waist. The way he was acting so casual made you feel so out of place for being surprised, so you tilted your head back to the drivers with your hands crossing over your chest.
"You know them?" You heard his voice again.
"Yeah, I have seen them a lot on television." He leaned in to be able to hear what you were saying while you were unconsciously straining your voice to make sure he was able to hear you amongst all sorts of noises coming from the crowd. "That one—yeah, that one is Sebastian Vettel, and that one is Kimi Räikkönen!"
"Big fan of Ferrari?"
"My dad is." You responded. Your hospitality pass was flapping on your face again as the heat caught up to you while you leaned back against the wall. "Are you?"
"Everyone’s a Ferrari fan." He fished out his phone and took a few pictures of the drivers before they passed the microphones back to the interviewers and made their way back. "Who’s your dad’s favourite driver?"
"I don’t know, actually. I think he likes them all equally." You realised he was no longer looking ahead. He was leaning against the gray-colored wall from the building that both of you had been standing beside all this time while the interview went on. His eyes were on you now, and his hands mimicked yours as he had them crossed over his chest.
"What about you?"
"I like Sebastian Vettel!" Your voice went a little high, a little excited to answer the first ever question you have ever gotten in relation to the sport. It felt like you were somehow accepted by the clique, though you only knew a few teams and names.
"Yeah? I like him too. I would love to be in the same team with him one day."
That wasn’t something that a normal fan would say. You had to go through and check the facts to see if it was even possible for a fan to wish to be in the same team as their favourite driver. If so, your dad would have been talking about it. "You drive too? Like these fast cars?"
"Yeah, I drive too, but mine isn’t as fast as Vettel's, though." He grinned, knowing what you would say after. It wasn’t the first time people ever told him that his little sweet dream would never come true. He had heard it countless times and had gotten used to it by now. "I know what you’re going to say."
"What?"
"You are going to tell me it’s impossible, aren’t you? For me to be on the same team with him." His hand went into his back pocket as he stood up straight.
"No."
"Sorry?" He blinked in surprise.
"I think it’s possible. I think... I think Vettel could do a teammate like you." You beamed widely and nodded in satisfaction with your words before taking a step away to find your dad.
"You can use this." He called out and handed you a white portable mini-fan.
"Are you sure?" The paddock pass fell and was left hanging on your neck as you let it go and took the mini fan from him.
"I don’t really need it."
"Thank you!" You clicked on the button as it flipped, and you felt the cooling effect hit your face. Sending him one last beam of gratitude, you walked back and joined the crowd, looking left and right to find your dad.
"Thank you too."
His gaze was interrupted as he was handed a green notebook with a striped marker pen by one of the fans, asking for his autograph, followed by a couple of photo sessions with a few others.

You were back again in the paddock, two years older. The weather this time, if you were to express it in words, would be an antonym to the last two years. It wasn’t extremely cold, but enough to send chills down your body from the constant rain. Your knowledge of motorsports this time has improved a lot. Your dad was excited when you started bringing up his favourite topic first during dinnertime because now he had someone to talk to about all the things that excited him.
The raincoat you had kept inside your tote bag was being pulled out as soon as you felt a few drops on your cheeks. The rain never learned how to do its greeting properly. It was always a few drops and a heavy rain the next second. You were trying to untie the little string that helped to keep your folded raincoat neatly in square shape while the rain started dropping down even more.
"How do I untie this?" Your hand kept on going from unknoting the string to protecting yourself from the rain, as if your palm was big enough to cover your entire body. The string wasn’t cooperating, and your indecisive trait made you stand in place instead of figuring something out.
"Need my help?
"Please!" Your eyes flittered upon feeling the little drops on your face as the person tried to untie the string.
"Shoot! This isn’t working. Let’s just run." Your hand that was purposelessly trying to cover your head from the rain was being grabbed as you found yourself running with him in the rain, unsure of where you were heading.
"Can we even be in here?" The run made you puff out. He had somehow dragged you inside Ferrari’s hospitality when you were so sure you would get kicked out the second someone noticed you. "I should go." You tried to scurry away and flinched when the thunderstorm rumbled.
"It’s okay. Just stay here. They’ll know you’re with me."
"It’s you?!" Your hands went to cover your mouth immediately as you got a proper look at his face this. It was the same guy from last year. He looked the same, just in a different uniform. "Oh my God! Are you Sebastian Vettel’s teammate now?"
"Is he still your favourite driver?"
"Yeah! I am still a big fan of him. Oh, I didn’t bring your mini fan.” The mini fan was still working perfectly fine, but it was left in your room because you weren’t expecting to bump into him again.
He took out his phone, and you saw his fingers danced on the screen before he handed it to you. "How about you give it back to me when I take you out?"
"What should I do with this?" The screen showed a numberless contact with the name ‘pretty girl in white top’.
"Your phone number?"
You passed the phone back and chewed on your lips. "I have a boyfriend."
"Ah! Sure– I’m so sorry."
You chuckled as you retracted your hand back and typed in your phone number. "Just kidding! There! I should probably go to my dad before he freaks out.”
"Wait!" The phone was being placed on the coffee table, as he ran to get an umbrella. "Use this."
"Thank you!"
Charles turned on his phone and saw your contact number being saved as "My name’s Y/N!"
"Y/N.."
﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎
"Can I get her sign too?"
"My girlfriend?" Charles chuckled and passed the green notebook to you. You weren’t really sure what to do or how you should make your sign looked like because you had never prepared yourself anything like this. "Sign here, love."
"Like this?" You handed the striped marker pen back to Charles and hid your face in his arms when he laughed at how small the signature was.
"You might need more practise." The notebook and marker pen were handed back to the owner, making him laugh along after seeing your little sign.
"I’ll make sure she attends my classes on how to improve her signature."
"Can I get a picture?"
Charles’s hand went back to hold yours while his free hand moved vigorously, sliding those pens and markers on caps, shirts, and banners that the fans had prepared while exchanging a few conversations.
"What was that signature, baby?"
He was holding it the whole time. The occasional glances he gave you as he kept on signing the merchandise were enough to let you know that he wasn’t done yet with the tease so it wasn’t a surprise when that was the first topic he brought up once both of you got your own privacy time.
"Shut up! I didn’t know they would ask for my signature too." You leaned on his side as he kept you close with his arm on your waist.
"But it’s cute! I would definitely get it tattooed if I was obsessed with you." Laughing, he pinched your cheek when you scowled. "Let’s be real. Would you tattoo my name on your body?"
"Of course!" You exclaimed. It was impossible to hold your laugh when he stared at you with scepticism.
"Yeah, right! No one’s believing that, baby." He retorted, leaving a lingering kiss on your hair.
"Yeah, no. Can you imagine if I have your name written in a big font across my arms?" You questioned.
"On a second thought, that might not be that bad of an idea. Everyone will know you are my girlfriend." He jested and earned a slap on his arm.
"No! What if we break up? I’m going to have to get them removed, and even if they were removed, you'd still see the mark."
"We’ll never break up. I don’t want us to ever break up." He muttered.
"I don’t want you to leave me too." You murmured, tiptoeing to leave a peck on his cheek.
"Whatever happens in the future, let’s talk it out instead of choosing a break. I can’t lose you, Y/N." He murmured.
"You won’t lose me, baby."
﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎﹎
"Charles, slow down! You’re going to make me trip on my dress!" You called out, feeling his pace increased with every step you took.
"I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I was just excited for you to see the place. Here we are!"
The sudden switch from pitch black to the brightness around you when Charles took off the blindfold on your eyes caused you to squeeze them shut.
"Do you like it?"
The room was illuminated with candles that were placed on a dark-coloured candle holders. There were rose petals spread out on the floor, looking like a path that led you to the centre.
He had asked you to go out for a dinner date, and you thought it was just like any other ones you had, but he reminded you specifically to dress a little extra, so you went with a split thigh backless dress in dark blue paired with a necklace that you got as a gift from Charles.
"Oh my god, I love this! Did you decorate this on your own?"
"Yeah, with some help from the Internet." He murmured and moved closer to snake his arms around your waist while your arms circled his neck.
"What’s the special occasion?" You questioned him, brushing your nose against his jaw.
"Oh, yeah! Okay.." He muttered, pulling away as he gave your arms a squeeze. Charles looked anxious. You knew because he kept on pressing his lips together; his green eyes barely kept on you for any longer than a minute as he kept on looking away.
"Charles? What’s wrong.."
"I– um," Charles had seen this a lot in movies, but he wasn’t really sure how someone went about doing it. He wasn’t sure if he should pull out the ring and put out the question first, if he should give a hint so you knew what’s coming, or if he should let you talk first.
"Y/N,"
You let out a gasp, your hand went to cup over your mouth as he went down and got on one knee. Charles fished out the velvet ring box he had kept in his pocket, which felt significantly heavier despite its small size.
"I wanted you to write the happy ending to our lives together. Will you marry me?"
He could see you were smiling, though half of your face was covered. "Yes! Oh my God, yes!" Your head bobbed up and down in a nod, feeling the weight on your finger as he slipped the ring on.
"I love you so much." He breathed out, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you up as your lips met his.
"I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, fiancé." You muttered, fingers stroking the back of his neck while slowly feeling as if you were getting hypnotised the longer you stared into his green eyes.

They said you could never please anyone in the room. Let it be a room of hundreds or tens, there would always be one unsatiated person. They said you would fail the moment you lived your life making sure everyone else was please with you. They said ignore, walk away, because people’s words shouldn’t limit how you should live your life.
But what happened when you ignored them way too much that they decided to kick it up a notch, thwarting their way into your own bubbles of euphoria.
Just like what happened to Mufasa.

wip word game!
got tagged by @wedriftlikelonelyplanets with the word WING and @bumblewyn with the word love!
Rules: tagger gives a word, then for each letter of that word you share an excerpt from your wip that starts with that letter.
(trying to think of what i did last time so i can share new things so. who knows. these are from various wips)
W - When the skies turn gray, and the sun sets earlier and earlier, and wind and rain bite on the walk home, Max isn’t worth it anymore.
I - “I went to middle school with Charles,” the jealous, possessive, twelve year old part of Max wants to sneer. H
N - Never mind that they both knew that Charles never would’ve thought about entering the event, if not for some twisted payback for the scene in the bar parking lot a year and a half ago.
G - Gaze unfocused, looking out the window, Charles is snapped back into reality as Max moves across his vision, a flawless double cabriole. And then just like that–
-
L - London was cold, a city that swelled with millions of people, where one newcomer was nothing more than a blip in the streets.
O - Once the birds start chirping, the golden morning light slowly peeking over the hills, Charles accepts his sleepless night.
V - Vettel points out details of Charles’ stroke that Max has known since they were seven years old, and Charles talks with his hands and Max fits his goggles over his eyes and finishes his cool down laps.
E - Each turn Charles takes seems to bring him a dead end, but he won’t stop trying.
no stress tagging @summerhalder @cornerofacry @fwoom @honeyandthunderstorms @chock-and-bates with the word CIAO!

(inspired by the james vowles c.ai bot i got bored and talked to who had alex albon, who he called alaobono, in a cage for biting williams guests. also he crawled on all fours and threw chairs and printers)
mercedes
liyah amelia grace habibi afzal @foreveralbon
-> when f1 eventually brought sepang back onto the calendar, liyah was fighting for P1 a few laps in when her engineer mentioned sightseeing at KL’s twins towers (the petronas towers). this was a mistake as upon hearing those words, liyah was immediately inhabited by the spirit and earthly energies of her late uncle: muhammad hazam “ارهابي” omar afzal, who passed down his loving lifelong legacy to her via muscle memory and pure instinct aka going back to her roots. anyways, she flung her car towards a corner with banking and projectile launched herself at 346km/h over 60km distance between her and her goal over the span of a shocking 10 minutes and 24 seconds!!! liyah escaped the incident with little injury, but the same cannot be said for those inside the towers (towers as in plural because george russell flew past her into the 2nd tower shortly after). media had an absolute fucking field day
george russell
-> misses half his races to film ads for tommy hilfiger and marriot bonvoy. toto gets pissed and kicks him out of their sleepover party which makes george severely depressed but its ok cz he gets married to carmen in his fav hotel marriot w a british royalty themed wedding (hes dressed as princess diana)

pierre gasly
-> french ☹️
haas
althea noelle. @disneyprincemuke
-> 10x destructors championship. an antique and prehistoric primordial being in the form of a petite pinoy creature. it has devoted to the art of racing since the dawn of time. since day was night, night was day as the two parallels of each other blurred in a flourish and spectacle of a draped veil over the vast expanse known as the horizon, since the stars aligned side by side in the darkest of hours. she raced upon the lands of pangea, upon the tallest of mountains now reduced to stones and rubble that crumble under footsteps and blow with the breeze. throughout millennia, throughout the countless frigid winters and blistering summers as she watched empires rise and fell, civilisation bloom and prosper, tyrants dictate and rebels overthrow, dynasties rule and eras whirl past like the wind, akin to momentary blips as centuries compile into memories viewed back upon within seconds. the only divinity to harbour ancient knowledge lost to time and space, lost through endless bloodshed of war as humanity tore itself apart , screaming aggressive rage and agony from the inside as flesh ripped flesh as the steady drill of what could be known as time mercilessly marched on, and waited for none. the little beam of consciousness this dingus fostered within burnt bright bold as passion strove on as fuel for her little stature (shocking). also she has yet to score a point in f1 cz she keeps twinning logan sargeant and crashing out on the 1st lap. her nickname is turn one thea 💀💀💀
TLDR; noelle is old and hasnt scored in f1
kevin magnussen
-> https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSFGTu8tL/

logan sargeant
-> Oh Say, can you see By the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed At the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars Through the perilous fight O'er the ramparts we watched Were so gallantly, yeah, streaming? And the rockets' red glare The bombs bursting in air Gave proof through the night That our flag was still there O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave also twinning noelle loves crashing
