i buy a planner every year to keep track of a few things. This year I started writing little daily entries of notable stuff that happened (in more depth than the bulletpoint way I mentioned before). I also had intended to put little stickers that pertained to the events of the day, but I don't have enough different kinds of stickers to really do it and it got kind of time consuming and frustrating, so I just started drawing little pictures instead. I kind of surprised myself with how satisfying they come out. It doesn't matter if they don't look like the thing I'm trying to draw, so there's zero pressure to be accurate. They all have come out pretty decent though. I'm finding that I'm writing little titles and labels and captions too. It's almost turning into a little short comic. I don't do it every day, but I tend to really like any of them that I do. Really captures the vibe of the day in a quick way

Garmin exercise watch took a dump today out of nowhere. Lasted about 3.5 years and just froze up on the start screen today. I read it was potentially caused by a bad update file that the company has since fixed. Everything Ive read to fix it doesn’t work though. Can’t get my computer to recognize it so I can delete the problem file. I’m still hoping I can fix it somehow but it’s bumming me out a lot.

They offered to replace it at about a third of the full price, which was around $110. Didn’t even ask me if it was still under warranty. Didn’t explain anything about it being caused by a faulty update file that was their fault. And they would hold an additional $110 for ransom until I send my broken device to them if I opted to have them replace it.

So now Im trying to decide if i should just go back to fitbit (who makes poor quality products but at least is decent enough to replace them when they break)(or were), or if i should bite the bullet and get my nicer one replaced. But my obvious concern is what if it happens again?

saw a tumblr ghost yesterday while looking at the app on my tablet. it looked like a cutout of a person overlaid on top of a couple of the posts I was scrolling past that appeared and disappeared quickly. could be a glitch but probably a real tumblr ghost

Matt Baker was a black comic book artist, born December 10 1921 and died August 11 1959 of a heart attack.  He is mostly known to draw comic books. His most popular comic was the Phantom Lady, which was originated in 1941. He has also created romance stories and freelanced(worked at different companies at different times) for Atlas comics

The internet has completely short circuited our sense of scale. The number of people required to move almost any needle is remarkably low. Your involvement in local causes, political pressure WILL have an impact.
