I constantly find myself capturing pictures up on this hill. Why? I take pictures over here because no matter what time of day it is/ what season it is, I tend to feel the view of this image changes throughout the day and season. Soon these trees will be full of green and colorful leaves and once again, the scenery will change. How awesome is that? #trees #gloomy #hill #driving #capture #moments #photography #rainy

Visited my best friend at City College the other day and I wanted to discuss why I had taken this picture. This picture was one of my favorite that I have taken because I love the texture and detail on this building. I almost feel as if it didn’t belong in a college because it gives me the old fashioned but rich vibe and I loved that about this building. If you zoom in you can really see the detail this building has and all the effort that has gone into it. I was very impressed and wanted to share this image with my viewers. #old #fashioned #rich #city #college #NYC #beauty #detailed #amazing #blueskies #beauifulday

Seeing flowers blossom is a sign summer is near. Waking up and seeing sunflowers brightens my day so I just had to capture this picture. Sunflowers are my favorite flower so it means a lot to me when I see them. You know the saying “ I would prefer a sun flower over a dozen roses any day?” That’s me. Summer is near and this is just one of the many signs of it. There is beauty within everything you see even this sunflower. I loved seeing this as I was walking in Manhattan because I feel as if you never really notice flowers because we are distracted by the lights and the city life when we are entering manhattan. If you look closely you can tell there is beauty within everything even aside from the city life. #yellow #sunflower #City #aflowercantblossomwithoutsun #sun #blossoming #sun #flower #warm #summer #beauty #green #lovely

Jet stream towards the future, as another school year comes to an end, new beginnings are on the horizon. Our emotions may be blue as we leave our friends and things become empty but that void will soon be replaced with warm temperatures of sunlight and soaking in the summer air, with those same friends returning in fall. #summeriscoming #morningvibes #blue #clouds #life

Seeing your name up in lights. The world premiere of Fuzz on the Lens Productions’ comedy fantasy film Abnormal Attraction that took over New York City at the SVA Theater. The film stars Hollywood icons such as Malcolm Mcdowell, Gilbert Gottfried, Melanie Iglesias, and academy award nominee Bruce Davison. Beautiful day in Manhattan to sit back relax and enjoy the movie. Being in New York city for a  premiere rather than Staten Island is a dream come true. It feels so real that finally a dream has taken off as we face reality with real movie stars. The amount of people that had showed up to this event had  filled my senses with adrenaline. I was so proud of my brothers and all that they had accomplished. Being here was an amazing experience to be apart of. The experience of traveling to the city makes me ecstatic because I used to love in the City and being back in my home town makes me reminisce on all the good times and bad times I had experienced here. #premiere #NYC #manhattan #famous

A drive, a peaceful drive through the mountains as snow begins to fall, so pretty, so untouched by society. It is white and in its purist form. Lightly floating down from the heavens, our last winter precipitation before new life is born in spring, bringing warmth and a sunny happy summer. Enjoy the calmness, enjoy the snowfall, before winter melts and summer burns our hearts. #winter #whitewinter #snowfall #crusin #carrides #cold #springiscoming

Driving to the unknown, from the hectic city to a more desolate place, a place of the past, known as Staten Island. Transported over a river by a man made bridge. How far we have come, yet how far we have to go. Our future is as bleak as the weather outside, the clouds foreshadow our future, it isn't written yet, it's what we make of it, will we make it a sunny day? Or will we allow the storms to roll in, you decide your own life.

Uniformed buildings on the upper east side across from the Met museum on a sunny crisp early spring day. Saluting the American flag. #sunny #uppereastside #america #NYC #Met #art #museum What I had learned through this reading, is that how intimidate life is portrayed through contemporary art/ photography. Goldin has taken photographs of drag queens as her first step into the photography world. This portrayed what she sees in her daily life and how she envisioned them. Goldin used to always develop black and white film but since she had no access to them she began to start using color slides. While photographing it states that we usually take pictures of points in our lives that are meaningful to us as said on page 1. These images are events that have happened that we hold on to emotionally and physically because they mean something to us. I was happy to read that line because it is true. We photograph things mostly that we want to have a memory with us to last a lifetime. Although we will have it in our head we photograph these things so we can look back and see the beautiful or sad moments we had captured from that day. On the second page, readers learn that she had published her first book called “ The Ballade of sexual dependency.” Her disinter has committed suicide at the age of 18 which readers can conclude but we can see a different side of her through the emotion she has told. This work concluded how she is emotionally attached with her work and I believe that is what makes a true artist. Being emotionally attached to the work we do just creates something more meaningful for our viewers to see or read. What I found really interesting while reading this is that she started off taking pictures for herself and her personal interest. She wasn’t planning on being the amazing photographer she was. I found that to jump out at me because we don’t even realize it but when we are snapping a picture of the moments that mean the most to us or everyday life we are showing the world what we see. how we interpret it, and our specific interests. We are all photographers deep down but the ones who are emotionally attached to their work don’t even realize how amazing the images that they take are. This reading has shown the beauty within black and white images and how they make a picture more dramatic. I really enjoyed this reading because I got to learn about why and how all these photographers have came about and how their careers have grown. I believe my photographs that I have taken have grown and became better. I take photographs of what I see in everyday life and I am happy I took this class because it gave me a whole new perspective on ways to look at photographs that I see and photographs that I have taken.

High Rises bookending the streets of New York. A narrow path through the center of the city leading to an open horizon of endless opportunities. As you can see a lot is going on in the city on this cloudy morning. Cars are coming our way and people are crossing the streets of manhattan out here on the upper east side. A beautiful day to explore and see what else the upper east side has to offer.

A Colorful wall .... some call it graffiti, others call it art. This image shows a deep message which is “Love not War” it uses a lot of colors to show liveliness. Using so many colors catches the eye immediately and portrays happiness Expressionism at its finest.

Behind this glass, is a whole new world full of sweets. The patiently wait in the window for a few happy customers to purchase and enjoy. These colorful boxes make it tempting to go inside and try. The gold lettering and the font used above the window shows pristine meaning the product you are getting is nothing but the best. #Nyc #Paris #macaroons #yummy #upper #east #side

Blistering cold winter, with a touch of the future summer that is to come, iced over by the snow. The pool will be open again, but for now it hibernates like the lion that watches over. I took this image because soon this scenery will change. We will see the water fountain flowing into the pool as the sun reflects off the water. Our skin will be kissed by the sun and kids will be splashing around. But for now it is cold and windy. No one is outside and the pool is covered. Soon it will be live again. #pool #winter #summerisonway #water #reflection #tan #waterfall #darkskies #sunshine #swimming #swimsuits #BBQ

Blur, what does your future hold? Looking across the water to the other side. Do you wonder what’s over there? Are you wondering why it looks so gloomy and foggy? Is the weather in this picture changing your mood? It sure changes mine. This image makes me want to roll up in bed and watch tv all day. Looking at it makes me wonder what is on the other side and who is over there. This image gives off a gloomy vibe but also a mysterious vibe. You choose how you want to interpret it. #blurry #gloomy #upstate #carrides #trees #fog #nature #cold

Hanging for now but anxiously looking on getting ready to roll for the spring. As you can tell by looking at this image, one bike is missing. Why? Why is one bike missing? One out of six of those bikes now has a new owner. One of those bikes is going to get to enjoy a nice peaceful ride in the streets of Albany. Will these other five bikes get an owner as well? Or will they sit on the rack all summer and not be sold? #bikes #albany #riding #spring
