7 DEADLY SINS GAME
Thanks @the-golden-comet, @thatuselesshuman, and @autism-purgatory for the tag!
This one looks really fun, go over which of your characters best embodies each of the 7 deadly sins. Everyone is on the table here, so let’s go!
PRIDE
I was originally gonna give this to Salazar, but then I thought for two seconds and remembered DIMITRI EXSITS. Dimitri has THE biggest ego I’ve ever written, he thinks he’s superior to everyone, and is a general asshole. He is the embodiment of this sin.
LUST
See, this one is a bit hard as I truly do not think about my characters sexual actions unless absolutely necessary. Like, I know certain characters have done it, but I don’t write it ever and I haven’t had it be important yet. So I don’t have a good answer for this one, sorry to say.
SLOTH
This one is The Artist, no question. I mean, I’d be apathetic as fuck if I was stuck in a void with nothing to do but watch other peoples lives play out. I don’t blame them at all though.
Greed
Exodus or Dimitri would probably take the cake here, so for variety I’ll pick Exodus. Exodus is a pretty important villain in How Our World Ended, and bro takes EVERYTHING he can, no matter what it does to others.
ENVY
Okay I had a whole different answer typed out on this one, but I changed my mind. My real answer is Invidia. He is quite literally named Envy, just in Latin. He isint too envious untill the end of souls collides first part, but the second a certain thing hits, you could argue that’s all he is.
Gluttony
So uh- I don’t really have a good answer for this one either. I haven’t written a character that is overly gluttonous. So, I’ll give the answer as a cut character, &. & was originally going to be a large creature that was important to souls collide. I cut it because it was stupid. But that thing had an APPETITE, so it probably fits this one best.
WRATH
Here’s the obligatory Samaueal mention. He hates everyone and everything. He is wrath incarnate.
Annnd that’s all of em. This was fun, I really recommend it!

Note
You can choose the consort(even multiple, if you want) but when you have the time can you please do a court of darkness fic where MC is really sick but she’s like “I want cuddles” and the LI is like “No, you’re sick” but at some point they give in?
How Can I Say No to You?
Tumblr media
Fandom: Court of Darkness (otome game)
Featured characters: Fenn Luxure, Toa Quelsum, Rio Voleri, Lynt Akedia, Lance Ira, Roy Invidia, Guy Avari
Genre: Fluffy Romance
Rating: sfw
Word count: 1000
Description: MC is sick and feeling lonely, eventually convincing her consort to cuddle with her. Fluffy feels~
WARNINGS: | none really | a couple pet names | mxw |
Thanks for the request! This was adorable and so sweet. Hope you like it!
Tumblr media
Fenn Luxure
- When you got sick, he insisted you stay in his quarters where he and Violet would be available to take care of you.
- Will he listen to Letty’s scolding for passing off lecture duties to Roy? Of course not. Staying with you is much more important.
- He’ll prop you with the finest pillows and comb through your hair with his fingers, read to you, and make sure you take your medicine.
- You ask him to hold you when the chills start, and he wastes no time crawling under the covers with you, delighted that you would crave his comfort.
- He doesn’t care if he gets sick too, then you can stay in bed with him longer.
- When you finally sleep soundly, he’s so relieved. Now you can heal, and his heart can settle, knowing you’re going to be alright.
Toa Quelsum
- Of course you weren’t about to bother Toa with something as silly as a cold, but when he hears from Knight that you collapsed after lectures, he drops everything to bring you to your bed.
- He wastes no time in diagnosing your illness and preparing the medicines himself.
- Knight is given detailed instructions on when to administer your treatments when the prince is unavailable, but Toa is there with you every other second he can spare.
- You wake at several points to see him surrounded by paperwork sitting at the foot of your bed.
- When you beg him to cuddle with you, practicality makes him hesitate, but your tearful eyes quickly make him abandon reason.
- His sweetheart needs him, so he holds you close for the rest of the night.
Rio Voleri
- Your big boyfriend is a big ol softie when you’re sick.
- He fusses and brings you more soup than you can eat.
- Blankets? You’ve got six. Bread to stave off nausea? White or wheat?
- Cuddles? Well, the headache and sniffles don’t seem appealing at all. But such thoughts are quickly abandoned.
- Is there anything better than a big warm hug from a big warm-hearted man with the healing soul of a golden retriever?
- He feels no regret when he catches the sniffles too. Seeing your smile as he held you in his arms, feeling better at last, was well worth it.
Lance Ira
- Your grumpy boyfriend is peeved that you got sick.
- Who’s going to take naps with him and Gruscha?
- But finding out you’re ill from Hawke? He’s in an even worse mood.
- He’s an awful bedside nurse until he sees the beads of sweat on your face, and how pale you are.
- Lance sits on your bed and you get a glimpse of his handkerchief - embroidered with your initial.
- He remembers when you gave it to him, out in the forest. And tonight, he’ll return your kindness and doting in full.
- When you ask him to cuddle you, his immediate reaction is to reject. But of course, he can’t resist your pouting eyes any more than he can Grushca’s.
- The sigh he lets out is impressive before he settles on top of the covers and puts an arm around your shoulders.
- He doesn’t stop rubbing your shoulder until you’re in a deep sleep, and unaware of the kiss he places on your hair.
Lynt Akedia
- Cuddles? Cuddles.
- He doesn’t care if he gets sick. All that matters is holding you close until you feel better.
- He’ll have Tino bring the best blankets and pillows, until you’re in a nest of comfort to heal.
- Of course he’ll stay with you, not letting anything get in the way of taking care of you.
- Although, Tino might have to be in charge of making sure you get your medicine as he keeps falling asleep with you throughout the day.
- But he is the best at making sure you have proper rest. He won’t let you out of his arms until you’re completely better.
Guy Avari
- You don’t get frightened easily anymore, after being the lover of an Avarian prince. But this flu has you weak, and the fever has taken so long to break…
- The moment he sees the gleam of fear in your eyes, his annoyance evaporates.
- Jasper gets the order to cancel everything he can. Medicine is gathered. The fluffiest blanket taken down from the wardrobe.
- He sits nearby, reading and complaining at you off and on. When you reach a trembling hand out to him, he graces you with his signature scowl.
- There’s too much to do to risk getting sick.
- …But he can’t stand seeing you so miserable, and the dragon curls up with you at last.
- He’ll protect you from anything, everything. His queen will be sequestered away in the dragon’s den until she is ready to stand with him again.
Roy Invidia
- Tea and flowers fill your room within days.
- Roy wastes no time in bringing you all the best herbal teas. He makes sure you drink plenty to keep hydrated and to stave off your illness as quickly as possible.
- He can’t help but fuss and dote on you. You are his precious flower, after all, and he can’t stand seeing you wilting like this.
- The perfect prince comes to you as often as he can, bringing you meals and medicine.
- Early evening when you start to take a turn for the worse, you beg him to stay. Of course he has so much to do, so much to lose from being absent.
- But he’s never able to deny you anything. So he agrees to spend the night with you, holding you close and comforting you when the fever spikes.
- He will always take care of you, be there for you. Nothing in the world can stop him from being there.

Belle Izadore: Relationship Chart - Book 1
So, I always talk about how Belle hates everyone but the thing is, she’s more complicated than that and really doesn’t hate everyone. So, in hopes of getting her personality (or rather dynamics) straight, here is a list of how she feels about each character in Court of Darkness. These are her opinions of them from Book one of the princess path and with each book finished, I will make a new, updated chart.
In order of most liked to most hated.
Besties/Greatly Trusts:
Rio Voleri: In a world where it feels like everyone and everything is out to get Belle, Rio is the only person she trusts whole heartedly. He was the first person to show her genuine kindness and respect. Even if he were to find out about her magic, Belle feels as though he wouldn’t care or use her for it. Even so, she can’t trust him with her secret out of fear, but for everything else, he is one of the first people she will go to when things get tough.
Sherry Invidia: Belle’s second most trusted friend. She is the kindest, sweetest soul ever and Belle feels safe around her. Truly a girl’s girl (unlike some people). Belle isn’t too worried about Sherry finding out her magic cause she knows she’s too sweet to use her.
Violet Muller: Hasn’t talked to her since the ball, but Belle has the utmost respect for her. Despite how intimidatingly beautiful she seems, Violet is so kind and caring and Belle really likes that. Honestly, she solidified Belle’s respect for her when she kicked Fenn in the face. Someone had to do it and Belle wasn’t too mad it wasn’t her who did it.
Tino and Thoma: She didn’t really talk to them as much compared to the others, but from the small interactions she’s had with them, they both seem like sweet souls that mean well. Honestly she’d feel bad if anything happened to them.
Unsure:
Aquia Avari: She never talked to him but she honestly feels bad for him. He seems like a sweet guy and after seeing his interaction with Guy, all she sees is someone just wanting to talk with his brother. It breaks her heart. Honestly, he doesn’t deserve a brother like Guy.
Grayson Hotz: Only saw him with Roy once but he seems okay to Belle. Doesn’t talk a lot so she can’t make an opinion on him.
Headmaster Lou: Belle’s respectful towards him (mostly cause he’s the headmaster). She doesn’t know much about him and honestly, at this point, she doesn’t care. She just wants to get back home. And if he can help her out, then she’s happy.
Professor Hawke: he’s a teacher. that’s it for her.
Neutral/Is okay with but doesn’t trust
Lynt Akedia: In terms of being trustworthy or untrustworthy, Belle sees him right in the exact middle. She’s not afraid of him using her magic. Honestly it seems like he couldn’t be bothered, which she likes. However, he’s still one of the S rank princes and she doesn’t trust any of them. So she’s weary of him but has no problem being around him.
Toa Qelsum: Belle doesn’t like how rude and pompous he can be, but can see that there’s something more to him. There’s some sort of messy kindness he has about him that she likes. Honestly, she wants to trust him, but she can’t. Despite his attentiveness towards her, he was just as desperate for her magic as Guy was in the beginning and if weren’t for Guy stealing her kiss first, Toa would’ve. And it’s because of this that she can’t trust him.
Knight: He’s very… protective of Toa and honestly, Belle doesn’t have a problem with him. Despite how spiteful he can seem, she knows he’s only doing his job so she really doesn’t have a problem with him. She just doesn’t trust him for the sole fact that he’s Toa’s valet.
Roy Invidia: Belle actually really liked him at first. He seemed kind and caring and was actually willing to take her out to help make her feel better, which is more than what any of the other S ranks did for her. The thing is, the more they talked, the more she realized he was only trying to let her guard down so one day he could use her power. Even if that wasn’t the case, that’s what she got out of it. And she really did not like that. So far, he’s safe for now, but if he try’s to pull anything on her, he will end up on her hit list, which lately, has been increasing.
Jasper Lane: despite how respectful he seems, there’s just something about him that Belle doesn’t like. Mostly it’s just because he’s Guy’s valet, which he seems to trust whole heartedly. So if Guy trusts him, she most certainly can’t.
Hate:
Fenn Luxure: *spray bottle* No! Back off!
Guy Avari: She didn’t think there was anyone she could hate more than Fenn but he proved her wrong. He already started off bad by forcing a kiss on her when she first got here. But despite that, she could let it slide due to the rare compassion and mercy she would give to this situation. He had the decency to patch her up which earned him points. She still didn’t like him, but wasn’t going to bite his head. But what really solidified her hate for him was when she was saving the poor dragon. She gave him her magic so he could save the dragon, which they did. However, it was a trick. In that moment, he was the most dangerous thing in this whole, twisted world. She can never trust him and won’t let him use her again.
S rank fans: FUCK YOU BITCHES!! Y’ALL AIN’T GIRL GIRLS AND ARE THE WORST HUMANS EVER! I (Belle and me) HOPE YOU ALL DIE!

OC Superlatives tag
Thanks, @athenswrites for tagging me :)
I did this for the seven sins of my Trials of Avaidia WIP
Most arrogant: Kian Heart. He is the sin of Pride so it's pretty understandable how he doesn't have a single humble bone in his body, and most likely never will.
Most humble: Marge Woods. Even as the sin of gluttony, they always want to help people no matter what.
Most charming: Fraya Smith. As the sin of lust people are always drawn to her. With one nice word, and a pretty look she can make people swoon. Plus her powers make it 100 times easier.
Most aggressive: Lyssa Leren is the sin of wrath, so don't fuck with here or... it won't be pretty.
Most talkative: Elijah Woods, they love to talk about random shit, and share everything they know with people.
Least talkative: Lyssa Leren (unless angry), she has major trust issues so she doesn't like to get close to people.
Most relatable: All of them in a way.
Least relatable: Again all of them in a way lol
Most ambitious: Invidia Moss. She is the sin of envy and always goes after what she wants no matter what. A close second is Avarus Stan, as the sin of greed he loves to get what he wants and will always go after it.
Most easy-going: Marge Woods. They like to go with the flow and will deal with whatever comes their way.
Most high-strung: Lyssa and Fraya, both like to have a set plan and hate when things go wrong.
Most pretentious: Kian. He has very high standards and always loves for things to go his way, and hates when they don't.
Most cheerful: Fraya, or Marge. They both love to take care of their friends and are very empathetic people.
Most patient: Avarus is a very patient person because of his backstory he kinda had to learn how to be, but if you push him he will snap.
Most diligent: Elijah, they hate to leave things not finished, and will end up hyper-focusing on it and get it done pretty fast.
Tagging: @jacquesfindswritingandadvice, @athenixrose, @annarts05, @asomeoneperson, @chaoschaoswriting, and is open to whoever else wants to participate :)

I'm writing a story where there's kingdoms that represents each of the deadly sins and I need help world building.
I know this post is different from what I usually put on here but I tried reddit and got little to nothing so I'm trying here.
so for some LORE.
the goddesses' little brother who is basically the devil™ from the bible™ made these seven cursed amulets that gives their user immense and fantastical power while slowly turning them into horrible people by enhancing it's respective sin. (for example: the amulet of lust grants the user supernatural charisma and enchantment skills but turns their vanilla kinks into downright horrid fetishes that would put you on a watchlist). the humans used these powerful items for worldly conquest and severing relations from the other races. that's until a hero from another world stepped up to appose the seven warriors and take the cursed amulets away from them. but for some bullshit reason and convoluted "I'm 5 parallels universes ahead of you" tomfuckery. the seven amulets are shot up into the air and then scattered across the world. landing on the laps of desperate souls and turning them into "princes" which is what you get if you mix elsa from frozen and the palace holders from persona 5. but instead the palaces are kingdoms and are VERY MUCH REAL and are is a huge magnet for fucked up people so the amulet can feed off the citizens down right evilness and grow bigger and stronger (ie: murderers and bigots makes the wrath kingdom bigger and stronger).
what this story is about is a comedy for making fun of weird (and down right unnecessary) tropes sub-plots, like incest, defending slavery, and relationship drama because you don't know how to write a healthy one. and the MC is pretty much like "this is stupid, why are y'all like this?" what i'm having trouble with is figuring out a society where one of the seven deadly sins is so magically ingrained in the area that you either have to be a shitty person or suffer.
here are some ideas I got for the seven kingdoms
Luxuria: unnecessary fanservice, oversexualization/fetishization of things that shouldn't be, indecency normalization, the writers barely-disguised fetish(es)
Gula: excessiveness, conspicuous consumption, making fun of fat people,
Avaricia: Basically vanity fair from the pilgrims progress, defending the rich, capitalism is good because I hate poor people
Acedia: characters not being interested in the plot, lazy writing, plot holes,
Ira: blatent bigotry, meaningless murder, "dark" humor,
Invidia: soulless power fantasies, yanderifications, bad rewrites,
superbia: badly written marry sue, "oh wow I'm so smart cant you tell because of how I'm writing this?"
what I'm going for is that the kingdoms are written by an author who heavily indulges in one of the sins while the MC beats up their self inserts while telling them that their vibe is rancid while also being a "please don't do THIS when writing a novel or making a manga".
hope this reaches out to alot of people

Favorite Final Fantasy Music (FFXV)
4 bros go on a bachelor roadtrip, tragedy ensues.
I didn't appreciate XV's soundtrack enough when I first heard it, much like XII. It was too "generic" for my dumb, stupid, uncultured brain; and while it is definitely a lot more orchestral than your usual FF soundtrack, it has a lot of little bits that feel unique, that give the game that originality that FF is known for. it also helps that this is probably my favorite complete party in the game, and the emotional connection the story and characters create enhances my love for this soundtrack; I love the chocobros, I love the road trip with the boys, and I hate with every inch of my soul that final campfire scene (I love the final campfire scene). This time, the game was mainly composed by Yoko Shimomura, who I feel a lot of people know in the realm of largest video game composers (I don't have much else to say here but I've been sharing main composers in the previous lists so let's keep it on!)
I also need to preface by saying I love how this game can let me say "Stand By Me by Ben E King/Florence and the Machine is my favorite Final Fantasy song"; that being said I will not be putting it in this list because it is A Real Song but know EVERY time I hear it I Will cry
5. Invidia The rhythm and piano in this one. That perfect combination of the drum set with the classic orchestra. This song is addicting to listen to, and I always find myself banging my head along to it, even with that (especially with that) choir and piano. My favorite part is right after that sort of chorus solo, when the piano hits that mix of highs and lows that sounds like DIN doo.... DIN doo DIN! it's really fun, and I wish it played more in the game.
4. Bros on the Road This fucking song. This song is so silly. But it's also Perfect. Bros on the Road is what the soul of this game is, the boys together. It plays during the early morning, post camping bonding minigames where Noctis and one of the guys does something, like training, or cooking. It's what I love about this game and this cast together in one song. The cheesy guitar and that almost country vibe that is perfect for this fantasy Kansas this world is in is amazing. Also;
Something dawned on me when I was on my own. Any food you make tastes better when you use good ingredients, right? Then, if you take something already delicious like Cup Noodles and add in the finest, freshest ingredients, what do you get? The ultimate flavor experience! So I ask you Noct: what's your favorite ingredient?
3. Veiled in Black XV has several "normal" battle themes, and this one is definitely my favorite. This is the imperial battle theme, and it hits for a lot of the same reasons that Invidia does, but the constant beat, stress, the heavier focus on string instruments like the violin and guitar, combined with the melody, just put it above for me. The peak of the song is that violin focus where you can tell they are just putting their heart and soul into those high notes (I love high notes man).
2. Magna Insomnia Final boss battle!!!!!!! This is a long one, with several phases, and I love how it perfectly evolves with the fight. The first phase is slow and creepy, involving Ardyn's theme, a circular sounding string chorus, and that piano that sounds like it's collapsing and dropping like an ancient staircase. It's amazing for that simple fight on the ground between Noctis and Ardyn, almost sounding like he's playing with you and not Really trying with his sword swings. As usual, the higher notes in this song make my brain happy, that somber violin sounding grand yet dilapidated. Phase 2 turns up the intensity. The battle becomes some real Dragon Ball shit in the sky flying around, dual Armigers against each other. The intro and the song as a whole feel like a constant ascent, with only a couple interludes of (relative) calm. I love the rhythm in the back, and I especially love when that flute comes in occasionally with its sort of war cry. Phase 3 tunes it down. The fight has moved back to the ground, and the entire bit is a sad, solemn vocalist solo. It's perfect for the fight, cause ultimately, this Isn't a grand victory. This is a generations long fight against a very sad, angry man that doesn't have a purely happy ending for either participant. XV hurts, man.
1. OMNIS LACRIMA First of all, WHOOPS, I ended up making this list like, all of the more orchestral stuff. That's what you get when you write stream of consciousness style. Something about these just hit different, but please give the honorable mentions a look for more variety, cause this game's overall use of acoustic and down to earth instruments is really what makes it so charming and i definitely failed to express that in my personal favorites.
Now onto the song itself; Holy shit. That opening. I feel like I've just opened the gates of heaven themselves and this is what it sounds like. The song goes into that tense string rhythm which I think XV excels at for its battle themes, with the rising choir keeping up that grandiosity the song starts with. it's so funny that this is mainly just a sideboss theme, because it FEELS like the main boss theme for this game. It feels like the end of the world, the fight for the fate of the galaxy, but ultimately you're just trying to get an egg for your Cup Noodles! When that piano plays back into the intro again? Dude. This song absolutely caught me off guard when I first heard it, and it is the first thing that comes to mind whenever I think about XV and its soundtrack, this lives rent free in my head. Shoutouts to the Dissidia NT version which add a little guitar for some shredding, as a treat.
Honorable mentions go to: Somnus, Hammerhead, Stand Your Ground, Hunt or Be Hunted (hrnngg.... metal gear,,,,), A Quick Pit Stop (lmao), Galdin Quay, Valse di Fantastica, Crystalline Chill, Reel Rumble, The Fight Is On!, Lestallum, APOCALYPSIS NOCTIS, Rodeo de Chocobo, Cape Caem, APOCALYPSIS AQUARIUS, Main Theme from FINAL FANTASY (this game is heavy on the all caps I swear), and then from the DLC: Shield of the King, The Spirits Converge, The Trials of the Shield, and Battle on the Big Bridge (sorry chat I only played Gladio's)

wanted connections!
para @invwdias e @courageouws
INVIDIA

Scones & Secret Feelings
Court of Darkness Fan Fiction - "Event” Story
Chapter 2
Rating: General
Main Characters: MC, Sherry Invidia, Roy Invidia
After realizing you have a crush on one of your close friends, you find yourself in a situation you would’ve never expected... A story that Voltage is too much of a coward to give us!
| Chapter 1 | >>Chapter 2<< | Chapter 3 | Last Chapter | Epilogue | Other Works/Content |
Tumblr media
I didn’t have the heart to tell her how awful it was, so I pretended like my soul wasn’t dying inside and ate the whole scone.
Unfortunately, this means I was unable to eat a single one of Grayson’s delicious scones.
(Ahh, the sacrifices we make for love…)
Sherry: You're drinking a lot of tea today, MC!
MC: Haha, I guess I'm just thirsty today!
(I’m still trying to wash away the aftertaste...!)
Sherry: Would you like another scone? There’s plenty left!
MC: Oh, um, no thank you!
Sherry: There’re so many left over…you and Roy only ate one each, and then I ate Grayson’s scones to make sure there’d be plenty for you two to eat…
MC: Ahaha, sorry, I just wasn’t super hungry today after all!
Sherry: It’s okay! But then Roy also ate only Grayson’s scones since he said that you wanted to eat mine instead…
MC: …Did he, now?
I cast a suspicious glance over at Roy and he just smiles in response.
MC: …
(“Perfect Prince” my ass! I’m looking at a backstabbing traitor right now!)
(Wah…Grayson’s scones…I’m so sorry I didn’t get to devour any of you!!)
I silently lament my loss of a scone-eating-opportunity.
Sherry: Hmm…I wonder what I should do with all these extra scones? Maybe I should share some with Rio…?
MC: No!! Don’t do that!!
(Poor Rio doesn’t deserve that!)
Sherry: Hm? Why not?
Sherry tilts her head in confusion at my somewhat passionate response.
MC: Ummm…
MC: B-Because I…I wanted to take the rest of them back to my dorm…?
Sherry: Oh, I see! You could have said so earlier!
Sherry’s face lights up with a huge smile and I feel my heart do a little backflip in my chest.
Sherry: Hehe, I’m delighted to know that you enjoyed them so much!
Sherry excitedly runs over to Grayson and begins arranging the scones in a small box for me
(Aw man, now I REALLY can't tell her how they actually tasted…)
I see Roy walking towards me.
MC: Hey! Roy, I can’t believe yo-
Roy: Do you have a gown for the upcoming ball?
Before I’m able to properly go off on him, he cuts me off with a sudden question.
MC: The ball? What ball are y–ohhh, that one…
Next weekend, after midterms are over, there’s going to be a ball to celebrate.
I had never thought of midterms as something to throw a party over, personally, but it seems that Concordia will find any reason to throw a party.
MC: Yeah, so, I kinda totally forgot about the ball, if we’re being honest. I’ve been too focused on studying…
Roy: It sounds like a break would serve you well then.
Roy: Would you by chance be interested in going into town tomorrow after lectures?
MC: To go dress shopping? Yeah, sure, that sounds fun!
(Dress shopping with Roy and Sherry? That sounds way better than sitting in my room trying to study.)
Roy: Wonderful. Shall we meet by the school gates around 7:30pm?
MC: Sounds like a plan to me!
Roy: I shall be looking forward to it then.
~~
I walk into my room to discover a very pitiful looking winged cat.
Robin: Nnn...welcome back….Milady…
MC: Robin, are you alright??
Robin: My tummy hurts…
MC: Oh no, what happened?
Robin: I think...I ate something funny…earlier...
(Why do I have a bad feeling about this…?)
MC: What was this “funny” thing you ate, exactly…?
Robin: Well I was playing with Master Knight in the courtyard when a yummy looking scone fell from the sky…!
MC: And…?
Robin: And Master Knight said to leave it alone…he said “Don’t eat weird things that fall from the sky!”
MC: ...but?
Robin: But it looked so yummy! So I ate it...but now my tummy hurts…
(Goddammit Roy.)
MC: Well...you should listen to Knight next time he tells you not to do something, okay? He was right, you shouldn't eat things that fall out of the sky.
Robin: Nnghh…okay, Milady, I won’t…
Robin’s eyes light up as he eyes the box in my hands.
Robin: Oh! Did Milady bring home scones??
(Well, he sure perked up real fast.)
MC: No, don’t touch these. They’re not food.
(I need to figure out the safest way to dispose of these…)
(Maybe I can give them to Rio after all, as fertilizer?)
The next day…
I arrive at the gates at about 7:35pm.
MC: I am so sorry I’m late!!
Out of breath, I bow my head in apology.
MC: I hope you weren’t waiting here too long because of me…
Roy: Not at all. I only just arrived a few minutes ago myself.
MC: Really? Well, that’s good then…
I had actually arranged things so that I would arrive ten minutes early, but then my brain decided it was time to have a major crisis over what to wear.
MC: Hey…wait…
I notice the lack of somebody’s presence and scan the area.
MC: Where’s Sherry at?
Roy: In the refectory with Rio, I believe.
Roy: Shall we be off?
MC: …Wait, so Sherry isn’t coming with us?
Roy: No…I thought it might be nice to spend some time with just the two of us.
Roy: Does the thought of time alone with me displease you?
MC: What-, no! Not at all! I just thought Sherry would be coming along with us, that’s all.
(Darn. I dressed up all cute and everything!)
Roy: I see. Also, I wished to tell you that I believe your outfit today makes you look even more charming than usual.
MC: Oh, uh, thanks…
Of course, I appreciate Roy’s compliment, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t hoping to hear one from Sherry instead.
(...I’ve really got it bad for this girl, don’t I?)
The thought makes me blush and I look away awkwardly.
Roy: Hmm? Whatever may you be thinking of?
MC: N-Nothing!!
Roy: Oh?
I start walking towards the carriage in an attempt to hide my embarrassment.
MC: Umm, let’s get going, haha!
~~
Once we step out of the carriage–
MC: Hey wait, Roy, I thought the dress shop was the other way?
Roy: We have a bit of time before the shop closes, so I thought that perhaps we could enjoy some tea and cake before choosing a gown?
MC:  Oooh, cake? Sign me up!
Roy: Let us be off then.
Roy gently places my hand on his arm as if escorting me.
MC: Um…?
Roy: So that we do not get separated by accident.
(It’s not that busy right now though…)
Roy: Unless this makes you uncomfortable?
MC: N-No, it’s okay…
(Come to think of it, I’ve never gone to town with Roy alone before.)
(So, maybe it’s just out of habit from his whole perfect prince act?)
Chalking it up to that, I decide to just go along with it instead of questioning it too much.
~~
Roy sits across from me while we both look at our menus.
(This low key kinda feels like a date…)
Not really sure what to do with myself, I point at something on the menu.
MC: Oh, the last time Sherry and I came here we got this limited edition Qelsan chocolate cake with the buttercream frosting!!
Chuckling at my probably obvious attempt to fill the silence, Roy smiles.
Roy: How was it?
MC: It was super good!! But it was also really super rich, so I’m really glad that Sherry and I were splitting it!
MC: Oh my gosh, I just remembered, while we were eating Sherry accidentally got frosting all over her face!
MC: But when she tried to wipe it off, she kept missing the spot!! It was so cute! Oh, and then she–
~~
MC: –ahh, but she seemed so serious I couldn’t even tease her about it!! It was so adorable! I didn't even know she was interested in that kind of thing!
MC: And then the other day she–
Roy: Haha, you certainly seem quite taken with my sister.
MC: W-What?? Do I??
Flustered by his sudden comment, I do my best to try and act natural.
MC: Ahaha, do I really seem that way?
Roy: Well, you have been talking quite enthusiastically about her nearly the entire time we’ve been here…
MC: Oh…whoops…
Roy: But I am very glad that she has found such a wonderful friend.
MC: R-Right. Friend…haha…
(I definitely don’t have romantic feelings for her or anything. Nope!)
(They’re strictly platonic. Just the normal feelings of gals being pals! Haha!)
MC: …
Although, really, one of the main things I’ve been worried about (outside of the obvious fear of ruining our friendship) is whether there’s social stigma about it.
I’d hate to cause Sherry to end up being criticized or shamed if we were to become paramours.
(Maybe I should ask Roy…)
MC: Say…Roy…
Roy: Yes, MC?
I know Fenn sleeps with anybody and everybody, regardless of gender, but that doesn’t really help tell me how this world views gay couples.
(Hmm, how do I go about bringing this up subtly…?)
MC: Um, so…you need to make an heir with someone, right?
Roy: ??!
Roy chokes on his tea.
MC: Whoa! Are you okay?! Do you need some water??
I push a glass of water towards Roy.
He takes a sip and then clears his throat.
Roy: A-Ahem…Pardon me…
Roy: Thank you for the water.
Roy: Now, um, what was it that you were saying?
MC: Well, since you’re the crown prince, it’s expected for you to have an heir, right?
Roy: Um, correct…
MC: Which would mean you’d need to marry someone you can have an heir with, right?
Roy: In theory, yes…
MC: So, what about Sherry?
Roy’s already confused expression shifts to one of alarm and mild horror.
Roy: I-I fear I am not quite following…
Roy: What about my sister, exactly?
MC: Like, is she expected to have an heir too?
Roy: Oh, so that is what you meant. Thank the Creator…
Roy sighs in relief.
MC: Huh? What did you think I meant?
Roy: Err, nothing…
(Weird, but okay I guess.)
MC: Yeah, so like is she expected to have kids to further the bloodline or something? Would she be looked down upon if she didn’t have kids?
Roy: I cannot say that is something that has been discussed, but I think it may depend on the reason.
MC: So, what if it was because of the person she marries?
Roy: As in they are infertile?
MC: Yeah, that, or…maybe if she was in a, um…gay relationship…?
Roy seems a bit surprised by my questions, and takes a moment before slowly responding.
Roy: …I suppose as long as she was happy, that would ultimately be what is important.
He looks at me inquisitively.
Roy: However, I am not certain why you are asking. Are you aware of something regarding my sister that I am not?
MC: Uhhh, no! Nothing like that! Was just wondering, haha!
Roy: I see…
~~
After finally going to the dress shop and choosing a gown, we arrive back at the academy.
When I get back to my dorm, I notice an envelope with my name on it that’s been wedged between the door and the doorframe.
(What is this?)
I open the envelope to see a note shakily written in red ink.
“I see how you’ve been cozying up to Roy lately. You’re trying to steal him all for yourself, aren’t you? He’s not yours! He belongs to everybody! You make me sick.”
(Ah. Great. Hate mail from Roy’s lovely fan club.)
I sigh as I continue reading the note.
“And don’t think you’re being sly by befriending Sherry to spend more time with Roy!! I see right through you!”
(Whoa, hold on here ladies. I think you’ve got something mixed up.)
(I’m not hanging out with Sherry to get close to your precious Roy!)
If anything, I’m hanging out with Roy to get closer to Sherry!
“I’m warning you! Stay away from Roy, OR ELSE!!!”
MC: Yeah, sure, whatever…
(Don’t these girls have anything better to do with their lives?)
Rolling my eyes, I rip the note in half before throwing it in the nearest trash can.
To be continued...
>>Chapter 3
| Chapter 1 | >>Chapter 2<< | Chapter 3 | Last Chapter | Epilogue | Other Works/Content |
sorry this took approximately forever to update!;;;; also, I think I made myself laugh more than I should’ve with MC trying to “subtly” ask Roy stuff...

A Ravenloft Reading Recommendation (ARRR!)
Alright, everyone! It's almost Halloween, and you (probably) recently got Curse of Strahd and Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft but you want to know more about these terror-filled prisons. Well, grab your adventuring gear and delve with me into the Domains of Dread! This'll be a long one, so strap in and remember: Mistipedia is your friend.
This list covers Second Edition Ravenloft, Third Edition Ravenloft, and the novels. I can only hope I got everything in this.
Let's start with...
Second Edition Ravenloft
Realm of Terror
This is the original campaign setting for 2e Ravenloft, coming with 144 pages of rules, NPCs and domains, as well as a bunch of other goodies (maps, card stock sheets, and a transparent map overlay). Realm of Terror predates the Grand Conjunction timeline, so in terms of in-game time... it's a bit out of date. A lot of it, according to John Mangrum, is incoherent and many of the dates in this contradict others, so be careful about what you use here.
- You get... Rules for the Demiplane of Dread, alternate rules for Classes, Spells, the Dark Powers Check, fear and horror rules, as well as new spells, new magical items, and the different Dark Lords and Domains you can explore.
Ravenloft Campaign Setting (Box)
The revised campaign setting for 2nd Edition. Takes Grand Conjunction into account. Not to be confused for the book from 3rd Edition.
Domains of Dread
Third and final version of Ravenloft in the days of TSR. Introduces clusters and pocket domains, as well as new secret societies and several new classes. Postdates Requiem: The Grim Harvest.
Masque of the Red Death
A sub-setting of Ravenloft, taking place on a 1890's Gothic Earth.
- The Gothic Earth Gazetteer: Like the Ravenloft Gazetteers, you get details on the lands of Gothic Earth and their inhabitants. - A Guide to Transylvania
And More...
Islands of Terror - Self explanatory, new island domains! Nidala, Wildlands, Sceana, I'Cath, etc.
Darklords - This covers a handful darklords.
Forbidden Lore - A Ravenloft setting expansion. Rules for the Tarokka Deck and Dikesha Dice. Secret societies, spells, cursed items, as well as expanded psionics, curses, and power checks. You also get the domain of Kalidnay.
Forged in Darkness - Lots of cursed items.
Children of the Night: Vampires - 13 New vampire NPCs. Children of the Night: Ghosts - 13 New ghost NPCs. Children of the Night: Werebeasts - 13 New lycanthrope NPCs. Children of the Night: The Created - 13 New construct NPCs.
Champions of the Mists - New heroic NPCs and new Character Kits.
Carnival - NPCs that make up Isolde's Carnival.
Classic Van Richten's Guides (Either 2nd or 3rd Edition)
These have Van Richten lore in it, so I would read these if not for the main content.
Van Richten's Arsenal With VR Arsenal, you get new tools and devices, new arcane and divine spells, new magic items, and alchemical devices and feats. It also comes with Prestige Classes like the Alchemical Philosopher and the Anchorite of the Mists, as well as a guide to plan investigations and battles and plenty of NPC stat sheets with detailed backgrounds.
Van Richten's Guide to Demons
Van Richten's Guide to Ghosts
Van Richten's Guide to the Ancient Dead
Van Richten's Guide to the Created
Van Richten's Guide to the Lich
Van Richten's Guide to the Mists - We usually ignore this book because of it's questionable lore.
Van Richten's Guide to the Shadow Fey
Van Richten's Guide to the Vistani An excellent exploration of Vistani.
Van Richten's Guide to the Walking Dead
Van Richten's Guide to Vampires
Van Richten's Guide to Werebeasts
Van Richten's Guide to Witches Included within VR's Compendium 3.
Van Richten's Monster Hunter's Compendium I (Vampires, Werebeasts, Created)
Van Richten's Monster Hunter's Compendium II (Ghosts, Liches, Ancient Dead)
Van Richten's Monster Hunter's Compendium III (Demons, Vistani, Witches)

II.   SECRETS   —   YOUR CHOICE HAS BEEN MADE.
All players have now submitted their choices. Below the cut are the choices and outcomes for half of the players. For those of you whose choices are not revealed below, your outcome has been sent to you via your submit box. If your choice involved another character, you are free to write out the interaction as a thread or exchange headcanons about what occurred.
Characters will be allowed to reveal what they discovered when gameplay resumes with ACT I, SCENE III.
AVARITIA.
>     𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐄𝐘 & 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐓.
You have to know. Whatever else happens, you have to know, or the not knowing will strangle you with guilt and grief and self-loathing. In the end, maybe this is your punishment. The universe seeing fit to finally condemn you for your sins. You slip the key into the lock, and turn it.
The key slides into the chest, with resistance. The teeth are not cut for this particular lock. It does not move, nor does it offer any other solution. The chest does not open.
DESIDIA.
>     𝐀𝐒𝐊 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐍.
It’s easier to look for answers when you happen to speak the language. It would take almost nothing for you to open your mouth and ask the maids what they mean, who they’re talking about, who could possibly be so furious about the shattered wine bottles. 1945 Romanee-Conti, Julian’s signature wine, could simply be a family favourite.
The maids fluster in visible surprise at being caught mid-sentence, mid-accident. The shattered glass and wine staining the floor like blood speaks for their silence instead. “Désolé.” One says, “We did not notice you there, Mr. Saint-Fortier. S'il-vous-plaît pardonnez-nous. The glass is dangerous, please leave this area while we clean away the mess.” They evade, closing ranks around the spilt wine and offering no further answer.
IRA.
>     𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐄 & 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐇𝐄𝐑.
Going directly to the source seems the fastest way forwards. Whether Séverine will answer you or not remains to be seen, but even her reaction will tell you something she would never think to betray. What’s in the box? What did she find that she had to hide here and could only reveal to Silas alone?
INVIDIA.
>     𝐔𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐈𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐍𝐈𝐅𝐄 & 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐈𝐓.
You unwrap the knife with almost reverent delicacy. You are aware, of course, that this is still a weapon you are holding in your hands, in the house of a man that died under mysterious circumstances. Why now? Why return to the scene of a potential murder with an object that looks, for all intents and purposes, like a possible murder weapon? You needed to know. Julian hadn’t died of a stab wound, but still. You all knew it was here. If there’s even a slim possibility one of you had taken it, you need to find out who and why.
PERFIDIA.
>     𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐖𝐄𝐑.
Whatever Julian was planning before he died, whoever might have been driven to kill him when you had all agreed to abandon the plan — the answers may well be in this drawer. You need to look, to know, so you can arm yourself against the possibility that this entire story may unravel. If someone really did kill Julian that night, you don’t plan to the one to take the fall.
Inside the drawer you discover a last will and testament, handwritten. You recall that ALVAREZ had mentioned a will, the night of the truth or dare game. Except this one is written in Julian’s looping script, dated to the night before he died. 20 June 2016. Almost as if he had known.
PRODITIO.
>     𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐓 𝐉𝐀𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐄.
There is a part of you that still cares for her, after everything is said and done. She is the closest thing you have ever had to a friend, the only person you have let near enough to your soul to touch it. You don’t know why or what happened to her for her to end up down this path but the thought of watching her slowly destroy herself is a cruelty you cannot abide. You could stop her. You could put an end to all this if you could make her understand.
VIOLENTIA.
>     𝐀𝐒𝐊 𝐓𝐎 𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆.
You summon a maid, young and unassuming, obedient enough to bend to your will when you sweetly request a closer look at the painting. And doesn’t she have to take it off the wall anyway to dust it for the day? Why not let you have a look while she’s at it? You’re a professional art dealer after all, it’s in perfectly safe hands with you.
The maid complies, although she seems reluctant to allow you any closer to the painting than is strictly appropriate. As she works, dusting at the frame and cleaning it of any marks, you notice signs of tampering. The mounting has been poorly handled for a painting of such immeasurable value—bizarre by all conventions and traditions that you know of when it comes to fine art.
Someone was in great haste to frame and mount this painting, without much consideration to preserving it. And then there’s the matter that this very painting hangs where Julian’s own portrait used to be.

THERES MORE CHARACTERS????
please tell me about them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think what you have going on with unnamed and milo is so cool????? your mind???? wonderful????? intelligence???? <3?
AHSHDHD TSYM!! <33
And yeah!! :D I have a bunch of ocs, each with different universes and storylines!!
Another one I’ve been working on is called The Fate Of Immortals
Which is about two immortal characters, Emrys and Ambrose, they were inseparable, they defeated great terrors, sacrificed themselves for eachother constantly, until emrys suddenly vanished, years went by until they’re finally reunited, the only problem is that within the time Emrys has been gone, he’s been brainwashed and completely forgets Ambrose
Ambrose of course, refuses to let their past be forgotten and helps Emrys remember, sorta, they’re still amazing warriors and they battle lots, so they continue to go through evil forces together, which leaves way less time to try and remember eachother.
I also have one based on the seven sins, right now focused in on Luxuria and Invidia, both technically immortal figures, until Invidia takes a bullet or 10 for Luxuria, and when a sin dies their power goes to another sin either by choice or randomly, Invidia gave his power to Luxuria
Then sins go missing, no one has gotten their powers so they must be alive, but sin magic is hard to pinpoint so they struggle to find eachother.
Then there’s my bois Rizz Valdis and Angelo,
There’s not much like, exciting plot but it’s pretty dramatic, it’s mostly based on character interactions and personality stuff
Rizz and Valdis grew up together, Angelo being Valdis’ little brother
Rizz became an orphan at the age of 14, he taught himself alchemical magic, flames are his go to, Violet flames are supposed to be the hottest flame so he generally uses those, he has a jealousy problem, nicknamed ‘green eyes’ for that reason
He has half his soul, due to Valdis, being the first son of a soul stealer, lashing out and taking it, basically killing him, so River, Valdis’ mother helped him /but/ the consequence for his actions tied their souls together
I use these three (and Lux) in storylines with one of my friends too, so when combined with her ocs, Rizz is dating the god of mischief, Angelo w/ the god of time, and Valdis is engaged to the goddess of heaven (life and prayers) :3 (and!! Lux is with Death, like literal god of death :3)
And then, my Seraphic Tetrad, Kiran Maro Ethis and Aratiel, they’re heavenly like,, soldiers??, their main goal is to keep the peace and make sure no one breaks Heaven / Hell and the Midworlds (basically the void) peace treaty (peacemaker type lads), they work for the goddess Soleste, who, although not seen often because being literal god is a busy job, has an important role in the story, they have their normal more human like forms which I draw most often, and then Angelic Forms™ (multiple eyes/wings/etc) [i actually have a relationship chart for the tetrad :3]
I haven’t even gotten started on my favourite boy who I’ve had for YEARS, his name is Tien :3
His story is very very dark(like whump type dark) but I like it because he basically goes through hell and still manages to survive and start to heal in the end
I have loads more, I could go on for hours about!!!

Happy (late) STS! For Trials of Avaidia, is there a magic system? What are some of its rules? If there isn't, what's something which looks like magic to your main characters?
Heyy happy late STS!!!
There is a magic system!! This is going to be a long post lol
Types of Magic:
Fighting Magic: - The people who specialize in this type of magic are called Warriors and are from Prides kingdom and Wraths kingdom - Summon it mentally + a gesture to use it
Healing magic: - The people who specialize in this type of magic are called Healers and are from Sloths kingdom, Envy's kingdom, and Lust kingdom - Summon it with phrases + a gesture to use it
Everyday Magic: - Say 1-2 words to summon it + a gesture to use it - used for day-to-day things, like helping around the house, gardening etc
Teaching Magic: - The people who specialize in this type of magic are called Scholars and are from Gluttony's kingdom and Greeds kingdom - This consists of Healing, Fighting, and Everyday magic
Ancient magic Ancient magic isn't used daily, it was forgotten many many years ago. Scholars are still researching it to figure out what it is, how to access it, and what it does. - Star Scarred - 2 people have a soul bond: created when two people's magic (connected to their souls) connects because of a bond that is within them. - Kian and Lyssa’s magic becomes connected while fighting together and become Star Scarred - Leaves a heart-shaped scar on their neck
How are spells cast:
Sins and virtues use a gesture for their special power
Citizens don't have a special ability
Short phrases/words are in Latin - long phrases are in English
Spirit Pets:
The spirit pets are part of the sins and virtues souls: It's essentially their soul stone, but it helps to guide them instead of boosting their power
Notes:
Everyone is born with magic and it appears at age 10
It can be boosted by a soul stone
Sins and virtues were born with more power than others
Depending on skill level everyone can perform a spell but depending on what sector your house is, you specialize in that sector
It can't bring back the dead
Depending on how much you use it drains your energy
SIns/Virtues use all types of magic
Soul Stone:
Help to boost a person's power.
The stone picks the person. At age 12 they are sent on a mission into the soul forest to find their soul stone.
Sins Special Powers:
Lyssa: fire manipulation, ??? Kian: enhanced abilities Fraya: hypnosis, sense feelings Invidia: shapeshifting Avarus: power drain, alchemy Marge: Illusions Elijah: induce apathy, teleportation
Thanks so much for the ask, let me know if you have any other questions!!!

Okay, but I can definitely imagine Barb/Dia doing that. It seems like quite a possibility. But wasn't dying mc's own fault though? Like,, Barbatos did warn,,, unless he knew this was gonna happen and mc was DUMB AND STUPID enough to show up to everyone like: "hi." and possibly be dumb enough to get killed. Idk lol I forgot this part.
But what you said about Beel, I really like that. I think you even mentioned belphie guilt tripping you in your yandere hcs, and trying to make you completely depend on him?? I like those possibilities. Mammon though,, too soft. Like you said, they've robbed him a lot. He could have had so much potential to be a dark character. Similarly Levi omg.
The brothers are the embodiments of the 7 deadly sins, yet, tbh, I haven't seen too much of this side of them. At least, not like how'd I expect. Leviathan, for eg. Envy. I don't recall seeing his sin playing out anywhere except in the TSL Quiz thingy. I mean, it's been toned down a lot for someone who's the literal embodiment is envy. Idk I just don't feel he's like that? As from what I found: Envy (Latin: invidia), like greed and lust, is characterized by an insatiable desire. It can be described as a sad or resentful covetousness towards the traits or possessions of someone else. The struggle aroused by envy has three stages: during the first stage, the envious person attempts to lower another's reputation; in the middle stage, the envious person receives either "joy at another's misfortune"(if he succeeds in defaming the other person) or "grief at another's prosperity" (if he fails); the third stage is hatred because "sorrow causes hatred".[38]
Envy is said to be the motivation behind Cain murdering his brother, Abel, as Cain envied Abel because God favored Abel's sacrifice over Cain's.
They toned him down a little too much?? If this game has actually been inspired by demons and the 7 deadly sins, they could at least make them similar to the demons, at least in some way. I'm not that far into the game yet, but so far that I've played, I haven't seen much. As for a demon who is the embodiment of envy... I wish to see more. Levi is capable of A LOT.
Similarly, Satan. I sometimes wonder why is he even called the Avatar of Wrath when we hardly see it?? The only time I remember is him losing his calm during the whole body swap event. The fact Satan got mad at us refusing a pact actually made me think that he was the sin "wrath", but idk now. And the way it was said that "every smile is an act", I really like that concept too. But I don't think I've paid much attention to see where it played out. Sigh now Satan simps for cats like,,, please show me your dark/evil side sir.
The way you said Barb and Dia took part in a torture dungeon, I want to see more of that too. If they're demons, wouldn't they have caused SOME sort of bloodshed in a way? Especially if they're the strongest demons. Killing humans, eating them, or I even like to think doing the same to their own race. Torturing... Seems like something that every demon's blood would contain lmao, I'm not answering questions bye.
And I believe so too. The human seems like a pawn... I feel the demons would use humans for entertainment and their own purposes, while keeping up the facade of loving them. It's easy, since demons are manipulative. In that case, losing the human whether by their own hands or not would go like: "Oh well, that's unfortunate. Time for another human."
But if they REALLY did love you, I feel they'd still be manipulative. Like you said. Corrupting/spoiling the human so much to the point that they'd just HAVE to depend on them. I feel they'd also have yandere tendencies, or be "protective". Like, then I feel they really wouldn't want to let you go, despite knowing how much it can ruin your innocence.
I also don't like how everyone is after mc like "uwuwu master". The human is still a weakling despite having pacts, plus, the pacts aren't even demanding the human's soul or anything. I don't get why they let mc walk over them when they are CLEARLY much stronger? If I were a demon I'd do the opposite lmao. Making the human seem as if they are controlling me, but it's the opposite. I don't think a mere pact can change the fact that the demon's stronger,,, esp if the pact didn't demand the human's soul/life/whatever.
Also, thank you! Things got better for me :)) and also,
💫✨💕send this to ten bloggers you think are wonderful. keep the game going 💕✨
Ofc you don't have to do this, but I got this, and it really made me happy, so here ^^
Oh btw in lesson...56 I think?? Just gonna tag this as a spoiler, but where for whatever reason Satan was "Sully" and the angel Lucifer asked him whether he liked books, let me just say I haven't even played it that far yet, but Satan going, "...Every book here is precious."
TOUCHED ME SO BAD LIKE. I DON'T KNOW IT REALLY MADE ME SOFT LMAO HE'S JUST SO okay I'll stop 🏃– 🍹
It's been a while since I've thought in-depth about the whole time traveling thing tbh, but couldn't Barbatos generally see the outcomes of the world?
We went back because they wanted to know who opened it, but considering Diavolo's the ruler of hell who turned Lilith human and Barbatos is basically the ruler of time & practically the universe I believe they already knew Lilith did it since it had to be "blood related" basically.
Barbatos also knows he can stitch together timelines and get of "extra" MCs essentially, so I believe he'd take that into account. I'm not saying MC getting killed was 100% part of the plan, but that they didn't care of MC was traumatized because they knew they could bring them back if necessary.
Imo the real goal wasn't to find out who did it, but to avoid breaking the family's bonds and devotion to Diavolo. The way it worked out was incredibly convenient and "coincidentally" a huge upgrade for Diavolo that kept the status quo and made him look good (or at least better) to Belphie and Beel without making Lucifer choose.
We see that kind of repeat later when Diavolo withdraws from the play because he was worried Lucifer wouldn't be as loyal. That's also why Lucifer gets that warning from Barbatos.
I think a huge part of why Levi's characterization is like that is because not enough people like him enough to tolerate it tbh. Even Mammon and Lucifer stans complain about the other characters hogging screen time and a lot of them admit to feeling bad for other fans. Levi is pretty much always second to last popularity wise.
I think he'd actually be more liked if they focused more on the jealously instead of making almost every interaction otaku/Ruri-chan related, but it's a bit too late now. I really, really hate how they just pretend otaku culture always existed and that's all Levi ever was. Like at least make him have an obsessive personality and be hyperfixated on novels instead of talking manga in an era before Japan even existed. It's so unbelievably lazy and really takes me out of the story.
Another problem is we only really see him interact with family or people that could enact severe consequences like Diavolo & Barbatos or people protected by the exchange program. He never gets a chance to shine or be cunning. The closest we get is things like him purposefully trying to ruin Christmas for random people online in his Christmas card. I think if he genuinely got jealous of MC and some random demon he would summon lotan almost instantly.
It's especially painful knowing what we had & being so excited to get more only for all of that to get dropped.
In an early devilgram, Be You, Satan gets jealous and feels bad about not having much unique to him and Lucifer comforts him in his own way when the others make it worse. Mammon is the most empathetic though ofc. They also talk about horror movies and Mammon says he doesn't find them scary (& the way it's framed sounds honest, idk if it's a retcon or a lie,) and Satan says "I'm sure we've all witnessed plenty of real-life horrors worse than anything in the movies."
Then when Lucifer asks for a time when he was really angry Satan first casually then gleefully talks about torturing a family to death because a kid set him up to get scolded by their parents. Meanwhile the brothers act wary of him and worry about him getting out of control while Lucifer tells everyone to take cover for their own safety with a smile. Satan happily talks about them begging for their lives and says he wishes they saw it too.
Levi also says he hates hearing about people being happy, but likes hearing about the negative things. While Asmo and Mammon are freaking out he also calls Satan cool. Which shows at least a little bit of his envy for once. Satan also says just the aura of his rage is usually too much for humans which is also interesting.
But back to Diavolo and Barbatos, I don't hate how the whole torture thing isn't super open, it makes sense imo, but I would like to see hints of them hiding it. Especially if Satan or even attic Belphie was the one you could go to to learn more about it. If anyone would defy Diavolo for that it'd be them trying to bring Lucifer down with them, or even just Satan rewarding the hunt for knowledge and not understanding the human psyche fully.
Imagine if instead of a paper thin lie about being human we got a Belphie manipulating us by pretending he was locked up because he was against hurting humans and the whole exchange program was a scam? Or at least if he told us things no one else would about Diavolo that were true so we wouldn't trust him and etc. That's the angle I'm going with in my fanfiction at least, the original story is just so lazy and boring imo.
Yeah I'm not a huge fan of how they handled pacts either, especially considering they don't even get MC's soul. It's way too one-sided to the point where I don't believe someone like Satan would ever offer it, even if the first offer was a trick and he'd get your soul or something. I agree on the whole manipulation thing too, like how is it partnership if one side has complete control over the other?
Even just making it so that demons can fight against if they really don't want to do something like harming each other and having it corrupt MC would make it a million times better.
And that's so sweet, thank you! You've made my days a lot brighter too. Not much makes me happier than infodumping and complaining about Obey Me rn lol.
I really liked Satan's line there too, although I did wish he had more a reaction to everything tbh. That whole section felt a bit too easy imo though, like I kept waiting for it to all go to shit or something. I am glad they went back into more story-based chapters too. I hope they keep that trend and expand on it.

All Night Road Journal entries! For players who are new to VtM, this is absolutely invaluable. For those who are familiar with VtM, it's still pretty neat! Find it in the menu below your stats.
Note - the Characters list changes depending on your in-game actions; this list is based on my Banu Haqim hot mess Courier, Pyre.
Characters
Kindred
Aila: A powerful Daughter of Haqim. You consumed her, Blood and soul, ten years ago.
Edouard Chambet: A member of the Ministry and influential fixer. Or he was until you and Raúl destroyed him.
Julian Sim: Your sire Technological visionary, data scientist, and (by Camarilla standards) an "Anarch" bent on bringing down the Masquerade. You and he worked together under the Camarilla's thumb for a few years before going your separate ways. Now you're both back in Tucson.
Prince Lettow: A Gangrel, originally a minor aristocrat from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth—making him one of the few elders left in Arizona. Lettow came to America after serving as a pilot in the Great War.
Called the Eagle Prince on account of his eagle servant, Riga, Lettow seized control of Tucson after the last Prince launched a murderous and doomed campaign against all non-Ventrue in the city. He magnanimously spared the old Prince's childer and has sought to rule with as much compassion as an undead crime lord can allow himself.
Millicent Rue: A blood trader whose specialty is finding obscure vintages for fussy Ventrue. From a clan called Lasombra, which you don't know anything about. After the fall of Camp Scheffler, has started to rebuild her "business."
Dove: Prince Lettow of Tucson's second in command, a Nosferatu and former courier. Keeps her mouth shut about her past, but she has known Lettow for many years.
Invidia Caul: A Tremere sorceress who works for Julian Sim ever since Prince Lettow forced the closure of her research facility, Kiowa Xenogenetics.
D'Espine: A Toreador. Manages the Cinderblock, a jazz club in Dallas. Obsessed with surgically modifying her ghouls.
Elin Olivecrona: A Ventrue. After the fall of Camp Scheffler, Olivecrona disappeared into the bureaucracy of the US government to work against the Second Inquisition.
Lampago: An ancient vampire—or some kind of related creature—who lurked in Tucson for years until hunters finally drove her away. She now dwells in Biosphere Zero.
Pattermuster: A Brujah. You helped him block a proposed renovation to the hospital.
Reremouse: A Nosferatu elder that dwelled beneath the sands of the California desert. You and Julian spent a depressing year feeding the elder to keep him dormant. When he finally arose, you helped Julian teleport him across the world using ancient sorcery that you do not fully understand.
Z: Julian Sim's mysterious acolyte.
Ghouls
Raúl Cañedo: Vampire hunter you first encountered when a wight attacked you after your CR-X broke down. Now your retainer. Knows how to fight and hunt; also a capable investigator.
Miguel: One of Lettow's retainers and couriers. Killed at Camp Scheffler, probably by hunters affiliated with the Second Inquisition.
Carlos: One of Dove's retainers. A police detective and the local Camarilla's contact with the Tucson police.
Nadia Goh: One of Julian Sim's retainers. Works as a delivery girl for a Malaysian restaurant when not helping Julian.
Others
Elena Prodan: Owner of Covenant Pawn Shop.
Agent Samantha Donati: Technically just a special agent with the FBI's Special Affairs Division, Agent Donati in fact controls most Second Inquisition activity across the Southwest. Her lightning-quick strikes have destroyed dozens of vampires and thrown the local Camarilla into chaos.
Clans
Banu Haqim
Originally from the Middle East, the "Assamites" were once feared assassins and sorcerers. They have recently entered into a tentative alliance with the Camarilla, the vampire shadow-society of Europe and the Americas.
Disciplines: Blood Sorcery, Celerity, Obfuscate. Some Banu Haqim focus on rituals, while others favor inhuman speed and the powers of invisibility.
Clan Weakness: Thirst for vitae. Banu Haqim are compelled to commit diablerie—the sin of draining another vampire, body and soul.
Brujah
Once a proud clan of philosophers, the rage-fueled "Rebels" are now scattered and disorganized.
Disciplines: Celerity, Potence, Presence. Unnatural strength and speed help the unsubtle Brujah in a fight, but the secret to their survival is in shaping crowds with their eerie charisma.
Clan Weakness: Temper. Brujah are prone to losing control of their Beast in terrible rages.
Gangrel
The savage "Outlanders" are shapeshifting beastmasters who, almost alone among vampires, can survive outside of the cities.
Disciplines: Animalism, Fortitude, Protean. Gangrel flesh is both hardy and able to change its form; the Outlanders also have various powers over living animals.
Clan Weakness: Feral. Gangrel struggle to relate to normal humans, especially as their Humanity declines.
Malkavian
The "Lunatics" are all mad, but their madness gives them strange insights. They often serve as court seers and mad prophets.
Disciplines: Auspex, Dominate, Obfuscate. Keen senses and the power to vanish from sight give Malkavians their reputation as prophets. Their mental compulsions often spread their insanity.
Clan Weakness: Madness. All Malkavians are incurably insane.
The Ministry
Formerly the "Followers of Set," the Ministry are friendly and good. There is nothing bad about the Ministry. They are here to help and to get you what you need. They are not a snake cult.
Disciplines: Obfuscate, Presence, Protean. Vampires of the Ministry can become invisible, control minds, and turn into giant snakes (it always helps).
Clan Weakness: No problems here, nothing to worry about.
Nosferatu
The "Sewer Rats" are hideous and malformed vampires whose information-gathering skills make them invaluable. They once managed electronic communication for the Kindred, until the Second Inquisition infiltrated their servers.
Disciplines: Animalism, Obfuscate, Potence. Nosferatu use their shadow-powers not just to turn invisible, but to hide their hideous faces. When exposed, they can call on their unnatural strength, or their allies among the Creatures of the Night.
Clan Weakness: Hideous. All Nosferatu are monstrous in appearance.
Toreador
The elegant and sophisticated "Aesthetes" would prefer you didn't call them "Degenerates." Obsessed with beauty, the vampires of Clan Toreador can seem almost alive when their passions move them.
Disciplines: Auspex, Celerity, Presence. Supernaturally keen senses and a beguiling aura let the Aesthetes thrive among high culture; when things go wrong, unnatural speed helps them escape.
Clan Weakness: Distracted. Toreador are so obsessed with beauty that it can endanger them.
Tremere
The "Usurpers" of Clan Tremere are said to descend from a mortal wizard who stole immortal life from an ancient vampire. Once organized into a disciplined arcane hierarchy, the sorcerers of Clan Tremere are in turmoil after the destruction of their greatest occult stronghold.
Disciplines: Auspex, Blood Sorcery, Dominate. Though famous for their Thaumaturgy—their intricate sorcerous tradition—many Tremere also possess supernaturally acute senses and the power to command mortals with a word.
Clan Weakness: Frail Blood. This manifests in different ways for different Usurpers. Some mend their flesh slowly; others cannot form Blood Bonds or create ghoul servitors.
Ventrue
The Clan of Kings rules from the shadows, controlling modern boardrooms as they once controlled courts and cathedrals. The mental powers of the "Blue Bloods" also protect the Masquerade.
Disciplines: Dominate, Fortitude, Presence. Ventrue study two distinct paths of mental control: Presence is more subtle, Dominate more direct. Some are also nearly indestructible, even when exposed to banes like fire and sunlight.
Clan Weakness: Refined palate. Ventrue cannot drink bagged or animal blood, and most are restricted to a particular kind of human prey.
Caitiff
Not a clan at all, Caitiff vampires are the Clanless—those whose Blood is too thin or whose education was too inadequate for them to join a proper clan.
Disciplines: Varies based on ancestry and inclination.
Clan Weakness: Outcast. The Camarilla has little respect for Caitiff, and other vampires don't treat them well either.
Hunger and Willpower
All vampires suffer from an undying Hunger for blood. Using Disciplines (vampire powers) and mending wounds uses some of the blood you've stolen and increases your Hunger; so does the simple act of rising every night. Only killing and fully draining a living human slakes your Hunger fully, and then only for a time. As a Child of Haqim, drinking vampire Blood also increases your Hunger.
If you become hungry enough, you lose the ability to activate Disciplines or mend your wounds. If your Hunger equals or exceeds your Willpower, you suffer penalties to actions that require concentration and self-control. That includes most actions you take, except those that risk a messy critical—see that entry. The penalties grow as your Hunger grows.
Willpower is based on your Resolve and Composure scores. Increase those scores to increase your Willpower and ignore the distraction caused by your Hunger. Certain actions, like extended negotiations or staying out too close to the sun, can mentally exhaust you, temporarily reducing your Willpower. You can regain lost Willpower by embodying your Convictions (see Experience and Convictions).
Messy Criticals
Succeed too well on certain actions and you run the risk of unleashing your Beast. The monster within you assures your success…at any cost.
Any choice that ends in an exclamation point ("!") risks a messy critical. Most of these are attacks or other aggressive actions where you risk losing control, such as threatening people or bashing down doors. Any choice that involves hunting and drinking from a human also risks a messy critical, and messy criticals there usually result in you draining the mortal completely, reducing your Humanity and leaving you with a corpse to dispose of.
The good news is that choices that risk a messy critical aren't more difficult due to Hunger (see Hunger and Willpower). Your Beast guides you in these savage actions, even when you're desperate for blood.
Experience and Convictions
After a decade of lethargy and routine, you find yourself bursting with newfound creative vigor!
You gain experience in two chief ways: first, by going on missions and succeeding in your goals. Second, by gaining Convictions and living up to them. To gain a Conviction, select choices that increase that personality trait: if you want to Defy the Traditions, then you must Defy the Traditions: ignore vampire laws like the Masquerade (see that entry), disobey elder vampires, and defy the Camarilla. If you want to Seek Luxury, then demand money and inducements as often as possible.
The Masquerade
The First Tradition of the Camarilla—what passes for civilization among the undead—is to hide the existence of vampires from the mortal herd. This is the Masquerade. You can violate the Masquerade by openly using obvious supernatural powers (such as shapeshifting), feeding in public, or failing to dispose of a body you drained.
Violating the Masquerade risks the wrath of elders among the Camarilla. Worse, with the Second Inquisition raging across the United States, a breach of the Masquerade risks sending an entire Second Inquisition kill team to your doorstep. Such an attack usually comes in daylight and can destroy you if you're not careful.
Humanity and the Beast
Vampires aren't human. They're dead things animated by stolen blood, with a screaming monster in their head they call the Beast. Perhaps because of this damned state, most vampires cling to their Humanity and struggle to control the Beast's savage urges.
But the Beast is always waiting. Acts of callousness and brutality strip vampires of their Humanity until, in the end, they are nothing but mindless animals that lurk in the shadows and hunt at night. Even before that point, low-Humanity vampires struggle to act with kindness or empathy.
Killing mortals (unless attacked first, such as by hunters or assassins) is a sure way to lose Humanity. The Beast permits no excuses—killing to feed and killing to hide your true nature (and protect the Masquerade) will stain your soul as surely as killing for sport.
Regaining Humanity is arduous but possible through great acts of sacrifice and by risking yourself for others. But beware: if your Humanity falls low enough, you'll have to spend Willpower (see Hunger and Willpower) to perform even small acts of decency.
The Camarilla
The Camarilla—the so-called Ivory Tower—is a secret society of vampires dedicated to hiding their existence from mortals, a guiding ideology called the Masquerade. Most Camarilla cities are ruled by a Prince (the term is gender neutral). Beneath this monarch is an elaborate hierarchy of underlings and overlords, bound together through favors, mutual enemies, the Traditions (including the Masquerade), and the overwhelming nightly drive to find more blood. Vampires of the Camarilla call each other "Kindred." They all appreciate the bitter irony of that term.
The rise of the Second Inquisition has made the Camarilla more paranoid and restrictive. Where once the Princes tolerated "Anarchs" and fringe types (like independent couriers), now they retreat into their Elysiums—hidden sanctums where they can conduct their business in peace—and try to weather the storm. These nights, the Camarilla are the vampire elite, and like any elite, they are happy to sacrifice everyone else for their own safety or convenience.
The Second Inquisition
The first Inquisition taught the arrogant vampires of the Middle Ages that they were not invincible. They learned that mortals, while weak alone, were almost unstoppable when organized and when they knew their enemy.
The vampires of the Camarilla took the lessons of the Inquisition to heart, hiding their actions behind the Masquerade. But no deception is perfect. As digital technology proliferated in the twentieth century, young vampires adapted, leaving their elders in the dust. They didn't know that mortals were listening in. And even when they realized the danger, many in the Camarilla believed they could direct these hunters at their enemies.
The results of this arrogance were catastrophic: the fires of the Second Inquisition blazed across the world, destroying elders and fledglings alike, cleansing whole cities of vampires. Embedded in the security and intelligence agencies of various national governments, including the FBI and the CIA, the Second Inquisition employs every weapon at its disposal to hunt down and destroy vampires. Now the SI has turned its sights on Arizona. Its goal is nothing less than the total eradication of every vampire in the state.
The Beckoning
A strange event called the Beckoning recently started luring elder vampires to the Middle East. No one knows the source of the Beckoning, but the sudden loss of so many elders—and the vast supernatural power they possess—has thrown the Camarilla into chaos and allowed Anarchs and other independent groups to seize power.
The Nature of the Blood
A vampire's vitae—the stolen blood that flows through your veins—has a variety of supernatural powers.
Disciplines. A vampire's supernatural arts are called Disciplines. Different clans manifest different arts, from mind control and shapeshifting to superhuman strength and speed. Most Disciplines require Blood to activate (increasing your Hunger) and grant a significant bonus to any relevant action you undertake. This bonus increases with your level of mastery.
Mending. You can use the blood you take to repair your dead flesh. In fact, this is the only way vampires can "heal," as they cannot do so naturally.
Ghouls. A vampire who feeds vitae to a living mortal creates a ghoul. Sometimes called a retainer or a thrall, a ghoul does not age, manifests minor supernatural powers such as occasional bursts of great strength, and is loyal to their vampire regnant through the Blood Bond (see below). Most established vampires make use of one or more ghouls to handle their daylight business.
The Embrace. Feed a mortal your vitae and you create a ghoul. Drain a mortal to death and feed that mortal your Blood and you create a new vampire of your clan. You are now the sire to a childe. This act is called the Embrace. Most Princes of the Camarilla forbid Embracing new vampires except under special conditions, as there are always too many vampires and never enough places to hunt.
The Blood Bond. Drink a vampire's blood three times on three separate nights and you are bound to that vampire, forced into service through a supernatural compulsion called the Blood Bond. If you create a ghoul, that ghoul is soon Blood Bound to you. Beware of your sire—you've already tasted your sire's Blood once, when you were Embraced and turned into a vampire!
Learning from the Blood. Vampires of different clans begin with different Disciplines, but you can unlock more Disciplines by tasting the Blood of another vampire and then receiving instruction from them.
Diablerie. To drain another vampire, body and soul, is called diablerie, and the Camarilla consider it the most awful of crimes. But young vampires practice the art in secret anyway, hunting their elders, in order to lower their generation and gain greater power.
Generation. According to legend, the first vampire was Caine, the first murderer. Legend further says that Caine had three childer, who had childer of their own, and that those vampires of the Third Generation founded the clans. Whether or not you believe this story, when a vampire Embraces a mortal, that childe's Blood is thinner and weaker than the sire's. Vampires of high generation are sometimes Caitiff (the Clanless), and those of very high generation are thin-bloods—barely vampires at all. Though a vampire's Disciplines develop with age, generation does not change…except through diablerie.
Functions of Abilities, Skills, and Disciplines
Abilities
Strength: Punching, wrestling, clawing (if you have claws). Most climbing where you haul yourself up.
Dexterity: Balance, speed, reacting quickly. Attacking with a bladed weapon or in coyote form (if you can change shape), reacting quickly. Most shooting that relies on speed.
Stamina: Adds to your Health. Not used actively.
Charisma: Getting people to like you. Leading people into battle or giving them orders. Impressing a crowd.
Manipulation: Getting people to do what you want (even if they don't like you). Most kinds of lies and deceit.
Composure: Adds to your Willpower. Staying cool, in social situations or in a fight (especially when threatened by fire or sunlight).
Intelligence: Education, reasoning ability, analysis. Most forms of research.
Wits: Cunning, cleverness, noticing things on the go. Intuition, "following your nose." Shooting when you can't see clearly.
Resolve: Adds to your Willpower. Determination, patience. Performing tasks that take all night or that are mentally draining.
Use the language of the choices to determine what is being tested. "Quickly" usually means Dexterity, "clever" signals Wits, "patient" implies Resolve.
Specific descriptions override general rules. You normally use Dexterity to strike with a sword, but if there's a lot of smoke and the choice says you need to be clever to hit, that's Wits.
Skills
Athletics: Jumping, swimming, running, dodging.
Combat: Brawling, wrestling, wielding swords or improvised weapons, using claws or teeth.
Drive: This gets your AE86 to its destination in one piece.
Firearms: Shooting a gun.
Clandestine: Sneaking, moving silently, hiding, picking locks, forcing doors.
Intimidation: Threatening, bullying, and forcing others to back down.
Leadership: Giving orders. Commanding your ghoul; also adds a passive boost when you work together with your ghoul.
Persuasion: Getting people to do what you want in a more or less straightforward manner, without lies or threats. Also covers etiquette and manners.
Streetwise: Bribery. Knowing streets and alleys (useful for quick getaways). Interacting with criminals.
Subterfuge: Lying, swindling, and deceiving. Also includes palming, picking pockets, and similar deceptions.
Academics: Nonscientific education—everything from history and philosophy to occult lore. Used in Blood Sorcery.
Awareness: Noticing things just by looking around (or listening or sniffing around).
Investigation: Careful, systematic exploring. Helps you both find hidden items and interrogate people until you find something.
Technology: Crafts, car repair, computer use, and hacking, as well as scientific acumen.
Survival: Finding shelter (especially from sunlight!), hunting wild animals.
Disciplines
Most Disciplines increase your Hunger when used but add a bonus to your actions.
Animalism: Grants you a wolf companion who grants significant bonuses to actions when activated. Your lobo gains power as you advance this Discipline. Low risk of a Masquerade breach; your lobo is just a "big weird dog."
Auspex: Enhances your senses, typically improving skills like Awareness, Investigation, and (if you're shooting where you can't see clearly) Firearms. Low risk of Masquerade breach; Auspex affects only you.
Blood Sorcery: Not a proper Discipline so much as a collection of ritual techniques developed over millennia. Most rituals take time and grant automatic success to an action; particularly challenging rituals, or those opposed by another sorcerer, often rely on Intelligence and Academics. Risk of Masquerade breach varies based on the ritual.
Celerity: Supernatural speed and quickness. Offers only a modest bonus, but helps with a huge number of activities, especially when you need to fight or flee. Mortals will be surprised by but not suspicious of the lowest level of Celerity; any more than that breaches the Masquerade.
Dominate: Overwhelming short-term mind control. Usually succeeds automatically, especially on mortals. A blunt instrument; doesn't gently boost your natural abilities like Presence. Low Masquerade risk since it's so uncanny. Dominate can also be used to scramble memories, which protects your secrets.
Fortitude: Unnatural resilience, even against the vampire's natural banes (fire and sunlight). Not used actively; it works automatically when you're hurt to absorb injury. Low risk of Masquerade breach—maybe you were wearing body armor?
Obfuscate: Fading from sight. Not literal invisibility; people just don't notice you. Mostly used to enhance Clandestine when sneaking. Low risk of Masquerade breach unless you just vanish in front of someone.
Potence: Monstrous strength. Increase your ferocity in combat and smash right through obstacles. Like Celerity, mortals will accept the lowest levels of Potence as the effects of adrenaline, but any more than that breaches the Masquerade.
Presence: Unnatural allure and charisma. Use it to fill mortals with dread (enhances Intimidate) or to enhance your natural charm (pairs with a large number of social skills). Lacks the immediate and inescapable power of Dominate, but more flexible. Low risk of Masquerade breach; people just believe you're unusually magnetic.
Protean: Three distinct shapeshifting powers. Beginners can grow wolflike claws to rip their enemies to shreds. Intermediate students learn how to meld with the earth, sinking into the ground to escape pursuers (or the rising sun). Masters take the form of beasts—in your case, a coyote. Any use of Protean is a huge and obvious Masquerade breach.

The Master of Masters identity I The secret of the black box
Here is my take on this.
This is a very long post and maybe somewhat confused to you, so I divided it into many parts, I’m totally aware of this having flaws somewhere. I’d be glad if somebody helps me research more. I’ll update if there’s more detail come in time.
Behind the Foretellers masks
Luxu’s true identity
Dive to the Heart
The secret movie, Shibuya
Who is the Master of Masters?
This is based on evidences the game provides for us, so I don’t think any of this is meant to be a coincidence.
The MoMs characteristic is particularly playful and the way he speaks very much more like a mature version of Sora. And there’s more than that.
Tumblr media
When it is revealed that Sora has more hearts beside his own, Donald teased Sora that he has so much hearts that he can’t bear to count. Who has the same characteristic? The MoM.
Tumblr media
The MoM, seemingly, joked that Luxu was thinking he has many hearts that himself can’t even count. Hinting that the MoM and Sora all have the power of hearts connection.
The MoM has 6 disciples connected to his heart, each of them represents for 7 deadly sins :
Ira : Unicorn - Anger (Wrath)
Invi : Snake - Jealousy (Invidia)
Aced : Bear - Sloth (Acedia)
Ava : Fox - Greed (Avaritia)
Gula : Leopard - Gluttony (Gula)
Luxu : Goat - Lust (Luxuria)
Super : Lion - Pride (Superbia). This is the MoM’s name which is engraved on the black box.
--------------------
All the 6 disciples were given their Keyblades by the Master who united them. We could say they, as the Masters hearts, receive his power. The Foretellers situation is extremely similar to the ones who connected with Sora’s heart, however, unline the Foretellers with virtues, the ones connected with Sora’s heart leaning toward the meaning of 7 deadly sins :
Roxas (Anger) : Roxas is easy to get angry, he is a very hot-tempered character. Very quick trying to attack Riku & DiZ who persuaded him return to Sora. Showing data-Sora the real hurt. And he got the Keyblade as Sora’s Nobody.
Namine (Jealousy) : She is, indeed, jealous of Kairi, she can’t stay being alone for so long, that she replaced herself with Kairi inside Sora’s memories in COM. Even she didn’t admit it but that is what her true feeling to Sora. As a Nobody of Kairi’s heart and Sora’s body and soul, Kairi can use the Keyblade after Namine returned to her heart. It is self-understanding that Sora gave Kairi the Keyblade’s power through Namine because she’s connected to his heart.
Ventus (Sloth) : Sleep within 11 years. Ven wasn’t able to use the Keyblade during his training with Xehanort until he merged his heart with Sora’s brand new heart. Xehanort might have known Sora is the Master of Masters heart, which is why he brought Ven to the Destiny Island, so that the MoM could reach to his broken heart and made it whole again. I mean, how does Sora speak to Ven when he was such a baby? It does not sound like a newborn baby at all. The MoM became Sora’s heart when he talked to Ven, Sora is the MoM’s alter-ego. After they joined hearts each other, Ven is able to use his Keyblade, due the MoM bestowed his power as a part of Ven’s heart.
Plus :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We know that Ven used to live in the Age of Fairy Tales (KHX) and was chosen to be a leader in one of Five Dandelions. I’m sure Ven is the chosen one inheriting the Book of Prophecy in mention. What kind of book can shape worlds? I would say it is like the MoM’s heart, well, it is said you can shape worlds through your heart and dream. Same case with Sora’s Journal, which contains everything inside his heart.
Take this into account, the MoM meant Ven would be the one inheriting his heart (aka Sora). There’s one scene Vanitas says to Sora (KH3): “I am the shadow that you cast”, but Vanitas is supposed to be Ven’s darkness before he merged his heart with Sora’s newborn heart. How could he be Sora’s shadow? So due to the fact that Ven inherited the Book of Prophecy, he inheriting the MoM’s heart similar to a spiritual ceremony passing the ability to wield the keyblade. That made Ven’s heart and the MoM’s united as one, it’s why Vanitas was born as Sora and Ven’s shadow at the same time. So Vanitas is also like the MoM’s shadow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is dangerous to let anyone else sees the book beside Ven. What if Xehanort discovered this secret? It is strange that Xehanort aimed at Ven from beginning and he made Ven’s heart broken. As the one inherited the Book of Prophecy, the MoM can seek for Ven’s broken heart and combine with him. So there is possiblity the MoM’s heart is what forged the X-blade. Ven + Vanitas = X-blade.
Tumblr media
Master Xehanort, the man who gets bored with such a small world. By using Ven, the boy inherited Sora’s heart (the soul of the Book of Prophecy) finally can open the door. As you can see, Ven pointed his Keyblade forward the sky, this action is shaping a totally grand new world thank to Ven’s heart carries the heart of the Book of Prophecy, exactly as Master Xehanort wishes, he wants to get out of a small and empty world, his smile shows you that. Oh, very likely Xehanort is the one causing Sora’s birth in the Destiny Island.
KHI - Coded - DDD
Tumblr media
We have the same familiar line “This world has been connected.” All started at the Destiny Island.
KHI : The Real World
Coded : Datascape
DDD : Sleeping Worlds
Isn’t it obvious that Sora is the one who connects every world he goes to, see? Because he is the heart of the Book of Propecies, and the one who writes the books is the MoM. It is outright to you that their hearts are one and the same.
In KHUX, we heard Blaine explaining : Before the Keyblade War, Book of Prophecies pulled the projected worlds from the future, the worlds which are real. Worlds that never real in the first place weren’t being pulled, they stay in the books and still existed, joined to Daybreak Town, only time set in the past, ie you can’t change the events, that is datascape. And after the Keyblade War, these worlds that were once joined together were scattered apart, so in order for “worlds from the future” to be projected into Daybreak Town without the Book of Prophecies, several worlds were converted to data. From real worlds to data worlds. Daybreak Town should be the real world, but a data world phenomenon is happening there. ‘The Grid’ in DDD is an example of a data world within a real world.
Link KHUX World Explanation : https://twitter.com/Daybreak_Town/status/1117926949337174016
So in summary, it’s likely Sora and the others come from the worlds are also data and their datascape is supposed to be ‘datas within a data’!? But this is just still unclear, at least until the Dandelions done with their investigation.
Lea (Greed) : Desire to get his friends back, no matter how it cost, to the point he betrayed the Organization countless times. Lea did pick up Ven’s wooden keyblade in BBS, this act similar to the ceremony to pass the ability to wield the Keyblade. Sora’s heart gave Ven one, then Ven gave to Lea. Lea received the Keyblade when he decided to become a guardian of light.
Xion (Gluttony) : she absorbed almost of Sora’s memories through Roxas and started to become Sora herself. Can use the Keyblade due to her direct connection with Sora’s heart. I always find it strange that Xion was picked to replace Sora as the real Organization, whether she bears Xehanort’s essence or not, there is one holding the Kingdom Key in Scala ad Caelum. So if Xehanort inherited the MoM’s No Name, which means he united with the MoM’s heart and power through the spiritual ceremony. That makes Xion suitable enough, because she was created from Sora’s heart and Sora’s heart is the MoM’s heart.
Vanitas / Xehanort (Lust) : I include both because these two similar in this part. Vanitas always desire to be united with Ven’s heart, to become one soul with him. Vanitas got the Keyblade because he is originally Ven’s heart. After Ven united his heart with Sora, Sora influences on Vanitas too, thus Sora’s heart is the one who gave Vanitas the Keyblade. Xehanort seeks for bodies/vessels to implant his essence, lust for power.
Sora (Pride) : In a positive connotation, Sora’s pride expresses his connection toward hearts. Their choices and actions independent his self-reflection, and a fulfilled feeling of belonging. Sora’s original design is a hybrid-lion, an embodiment of Pride, like the MoM.
Tumblr media
--------------------
The MoM bestowed the Keyblades to his 6 disciples, in case those 6 disciples are connected to his heart, or the Five Foretellers are the MoM himself. It is exactly the same with Sora, who bestowed the keyblades power to 6 people who connected to him, 5 among them are Sora himself.
Furthermore, Sora was able to use a Keyblade from the start without being bequeathed by anyone through a spiritual ceremony because he’s naturally the Master of Masters who owned No Name as the most ancient keyblade.
Sora is an unique person who can return to his human form after he became a Heartless and needlessly destroying his Nobody. So if the MoM could give himself a new life form (newborn Sora), why couldn’t Sora? In the MoM’s case, he shaped his life form thank to Ven’s light, as the result they joined hearts each other. As for Sora, he regained his form thank to Kairi’s light. Basically, their hearts can shape everything into their own forms, even a lifeless object or an empty puppet and give them hearts.
The MoM can create Dream Eaters (Chirithy). Sora has a strong relationship with Dream Eaters, he can enter the Realm of Sleep whenever he wishes. So who says the MoM can’t enter the Realm of Sleep and recontruct the worlds called “Unchained Realm”, gathering every remnants of light in order of conserving the balance and erasing the memories of Tragedy? If Sora could time-travel back to the Age of Fairy Tales (KHX) to reset everything and make the world better like he wants.
I’ll give a way how Sora could travel back to the past even if no version of him exist there :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Worlds from the future” are the worlds that Sora and his friends come from. He can easily go back to the Age of Fairy Tales if his world is converted to data, but that world must be connected to Daybreak Town. As you already knew in Coded, real people also would be able to go inside datascape without having themselves converted to data, like Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pete and Maleficent. If Sora’s datascape is projected as an entrance/portal in Daybreak Town, then it wouldn’t be hard for him going back to such an ancient time. Remember the Destiny Island was hinted to be connected to Daybreak Town (where connects to other worlds according to the Book of Prophecies) in everytime Sora presenting here. And Maleficent hinted us there’s a link between the Book of Prophecies and Sora’s Journal as well.
Anyway, the MoM seems very sinister and sharp, those are the opposites with Sora, but we all know Sora’s growth throughout KH3, his connection with his friends get weaker (100 Acre Wood). After his experiences in the Keyblade War, would his heart and mind still the same like before? He felt loss and he felt that strong connection would lead to some broken hearts, that’s why the Master gives each of his apprentices differrent roles, differrent unions and does not allow them cooperate each other, even making them doubt each other through claiming there’s a traitor. That is the proof showing his mind became twisted, his intention gets darker, it is the mark calls out his growth. So the MoM fits to Sora’s future self.
Tumblr media
The Keyblade “No Name” has a lion head, goat horns and dragon wings, the “Gazing Eye” looks like a snake eye. It is a Chimera that has a body of a lion, a goat emerges from its back and a snake as its tail, which also at one point was a symbol of Lucifer the being who represents the sin of Pride. The dragon wings is symbolic of power and influence, and dragon is arguably the most ancient and imposing. Chimera is an organism that contains cells or tissues from two or more different species. The animal being a Chimera also fits with Sora having many hearts joined to his as he isn’t just a single person any more.
The sight of a Chimera was an omen for disaster. As in KH universe, it may describes a strong connection will bring disaster, as Luxu warned Sora “if you put too much that power in one place, some of those hearts might ended up breaking.” This happened during his first visit of Keyblade Graveyard (KH3), however, the MoM carefully orchestrated everything by using his connections towards the Foretellers to gain his goal, a mastermind plan.
Tumblr media
Its keychain is symbolic of a six-winged angel. A six winged angel is a seraph or seraphim. They are heavenly attendants to God on his throne. It also represents for Lucifer as the "Morning Star" and the strongest seraph, the highest ranked angel serving God prior his fall from grace.
Lucifer’s human element is wisdom or applied knowledge, with time, study and practice it is believe that man can attain the Lucifer state, this only through applied knowledge or wisdom. By all the mean, through the learning of wisdom, ‘an ordinary boy’ like Sora can also attain Lucifer state, transforming into the being called ‘the Master of Masters’.
The ‘Gazing Eye’ is a symbolism regard of ‘All-Seeing Eye’ :
Tumblr media
The Eye of Providence (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol, having its origin in Christian iconography, showing an eye often surrounded by rays of light or a glory and usually enclosed by a triangle. It represents the eye of God watching over humanity (the concept of divine providence).
One of the key symbols of the New World Order (NWO) is the eye. Jesus said in Matthew 6:22, “The light of the body is the eye...” It is through the eye that light, or in a spiritual sense, KNOWLEDGE, enters the body. This is the spiritual sense of the word. There are 33 different degrees in the Masonic order. Each new level entitles the participant to acquire additional occult KNOWLEDGE. Occultists view Lucifer as the good god who gives knowledge.
The All-Seeing Eye symbolizes Lucifer, but it represents the spiritual knowledge of good and evil which the serpent promised to Eve if she disobeyed God. This knowledge includes the knowledge that Satan is the god of this world, who rewards them that serve and worship him (Matthew 4:8-10). The average person is woefully ignorant of spiritual matters, because they do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior (1st Corinthians 2:14-16). This is why tens-of-thousands of celebrities, corporate big shots, religious leaders and famous people flash El Diablo signs, darkening one of their eyes (see below) and displaying occult pyramids and eyes on their works. Sadly, most Christians are also ignorant, because they are not interested in the truth.
The eye is symbolic of secret societies; but moreover, the eye represents the forming New World Order and the rulers of the darkness of this world (Ephesians 6:12), and ultimately Satan himself.
Carefully notice that the New World Order is symbolized with ONE eye; but God gave us TWO eyes to see the truth for ourselves if we truly want to see it. Think about that.
He, being the Master of Masters has an eye capable to see the future, the ‘Gazing Eye’ has the same meaning with the ‘Eye of Providence’, which is believed to be the eye of Lucifer. The ‘Gazing Eye’ surrounded by keys and enclosed by the Keyblade ‘No Name’. So he is like a God watching over all the future of humanity, desire to see how they would guide the keys more than the fate of the world. In other words, the MoM’s true purpose is establish a ‘New World Order’ after the Keyblade War.
Doves flying in the Station of Awakening has a meaning :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The dove was associated with one of the mother figures, Venus. Lucifer’s planetary element is Venus, Lucifer being known as the “Morning Star” or first star of morning, otherwise known as Venus. Venus, known as the “Planet of Love” represents the beauty of Lux Ferre (Latin for light bearer/bringer or Lucifer).
The dove is Lucifer’s animal symbol when he was an angel, whose real name is Helel (Shining Star or Morning Star). He was created to be the highest spiritual power of heaven.
The dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, because of Matt. 3:16 "And when Jesus had been baptized, just as he came up from the water, suddenly the heavens were opened to him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. " NRSV.
Btw, the “End of Pain” Keyblade (DDD) obtained after you completing all Special Portals has a similar design to “No Name” and it looks similar to Sora’s outfit design in KH3 :
Tumblr media
Its animal is a ram and the keychain looks like a butterfly.
The Ram is a male of the sheep and allied animals. The Ram Christian Symbol represents protection as the ram protected the herd and also symbolises sacrifice as the ram was one of the first animals to be sacrificed on alters, hence their Latin name Aries which comes from aris meaning "alters".. It is a symbol for Christ taken from the Old Testament.
In KH case, it might referred Sora is a sacrifice for his friends sake and Riku is a protection for Sora as his Dream Eater.
In many cultures the butterfly is associated with the soul – further linking our meaning of faith with the butterfly.
In Greek myth, Psyche (which literally translates to mean “soul”) is represented in the form of a butterfly. Befittingly, Psyche is forever linked with love as she and Eros (the Greek god of love, also known in Roman myth as Cupid) shared an endlessly passionate bond together – both hopelessly in love with the other.
Also, the design of the inner of the butterfly looks like flowers petals with pink color, and flowers link to the design of Kairi’s keyblade. The butterfly keychain is associated with the soul, meaning Sora and Kairi shared an endlessly passionate bond together and very possible in love with the other.
In Christianity, the butterfly symbolizes the resurrection of Christ.
Beside that, the End of Pain keychain is attached a gazing eye in it, which is noteworthy, because we merely see the MoM and Foretellers keychains having gazing eyes so far. And since “No Name” keychain is a six-winged being, this may be a reference to ‘Revelation's four living beings’ :
Revelation 4:6-8 New International Version (NIV)
Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:
“‘Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,’
who was, and is, and is to come.”
The MoM’s animal symbol is a lion and this refers he is a lion with 6 wings and covered with eyes (in this case, the gazing eye). With this meaning, the Keyblades have more than one gazing eye must be related to MoM or they’re part of the MoM’s essense. And remember 6 winged-being also represents for seraphim, extension of Lucifer’s symbol. The lion and the gazing eye on “No Name” all have bright blue eyes, it is the MoM’s eyes color.
Tumblr media
Sora has the same bright blue eyes and Sora’s embodiment is also a lion. His theme is same with MoM as Lucifer is the “Morning Star”, a Light Bearer, who is a six-winged angel, the strongest seraph. Since I’ve explained 5 Foretellers are the MoM’s vessels, same situation with Sora, who also got 5 vessels containing his essence. This must be the reason all of them (the MoM/Sora and Foretellers) has a ‘gazing eye’ attached on their keychains.
Lucifer’s color is blue, blue being the color of the sky and water representing that Lucifer is all around and within us. That Lucifer is the prime element/energy that motivates and cultivates our world. The blue’s literally linked to Sora, as his name in japanese means ‘sky’ (Sora = 空 = sky). It’s very fit to him being the MoM’s incarnation. His keyblade ‘End of Pain’ has similar design to ‘No Name’, which Riku can also wield as Sora’s Dream Eater.
‘End of Pain’ Keyblade’s design can also be viewed as a Gargoyle (Ram Horned Gargoyle with Demon Wings).
Gargoyles are figures often carved into the architecture of old churches. Some believe gargoyles on a church were meant to ward off evil; it’s also possible that the gargoyles symbolized evil spirits, monstrous entities, and damned souls. The thinking was that the church offered spiritual safety for those who accepted its authority, but outside the church was spiritual danger. The gargoyles were thus a warning to the populace that it was better to be inside the church than outside. It’s also possible that the thinking behind gargoyles was to create a symbolic representation of hell; again, the outside of the church was contrasted with the inside.
Describing Sora was inside of hell and Riku was outside of hell, in order to fighting off evil from Sora’s nightmare.
This might be a stretch but I think the blade of ‘No Name’ symbolizing Gemini zodiac sign :
Tumblr media
Gemini means “the twins” in Latin. A Gemini is a mix of the yin and yang, so they’re represented perfectly by the twins. They can easily see both sides of an issue, a wonderfully practical quality.
Tumblr media
So since the lion symbolizing Sora and the goat symbolizing Xehanort, Gemini is known for having two opposite personalities that converge in one soul, the Chimera aka the MoM or rather Soranort. Gemini also fits Sora very well for being empowered by the presence of others hearts inside him, like The Lovers fills his need.
Tumblr media
Gemini’s glyph looks like the Roman numberal for two because, as you know, a Gemini thinks there’s nothing quite as sad as being lonely. Like its ruling tarot card, the Lovers, Gemini is as a symbol for opposing forces like light and dark or true and false, each of which can’t exist without the other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As ‘No Name’ had been passed through generations, like a way that the MoM trying to communicate his inheritors with its power, so ‘No Name’ gives the way they communicate and absorbs great amounts of information through the Gazing Eye watching over the future of humanity. It identifies the MoM’s mind and how well he can relay messages to others carrying ‘No Name’.
Tumblr media
The name Sora (空) also stands for 空中, meaning air. And how well it fits to an obverser of the world around them, like the MoM, as well as the sky always connects everything.
Tumblr media
Yellow is typically attributed to Gemini, which certainly fits its sunny, friendly personality, it does match with Sora’s personality ultimately.
The Gemini constellation represents the twins Castor and Pollux (Polydeuces), also known as the Dioscuri in ancient times, in Greek mythology. Gemini is known mainly for its two bright stars, Castor and Pollux, the neutron star Geminga, and several notable deep sky objects. One is immortal, the other mortal. Herein lies the very cool duplicity of Gemini.
Tumblr media
Take that Sora being Castor and Xehanort being Pollux in our situation, as Luxu (the first incarnation of Xehanort) places his heart into vessels in order to continue living throughout centuries, so Luxu is kind of immortal twin and Sora doesn’t, so he is mortal twin, therefore, they fit to The Twins symbol. As the event of DDD shown, Sora witnessing his own dream, everytime he “dies”, he always being brought back to life, as if someone having the power of time reversing to save his life and knowing how much Sora has been repeating this again and again like deja-vu, that person is no one else but Young Xehanort. So they’re, no doubt, have a strong connection like the twins brothers, Castor and Pollux.
One interesting thing is if you try to invert Sora and Xehanort’s colors, you would have their inverted colors match the others original colors :
Tumblr media
Sora’s inverted colors : white (mix with blue) hair + yellow eyes + dark skin
Tumblr media
YX’s inverted colors : brown hair + blue eyes + light skin
Plus, blue and yellow colors mix together would create green, and the Gazing Eye has a green surrounding the pupil as well. Sora and Xehanort are very similar to Gemini, they’re like yin and yang, light and dark, two sides of one coin, two personalities of one person.
Gemini also represents for Ventus and Vanitas being The Twins, as their combined hearts giving birth to sort of yin and yang symbol, Ven being the pure light and Vanitas being the pure darkness :
Tumblr media
Extreme similar to Sora and Xehanort’s union would’ve made a perfect yin and yang symbol.
When Sora’s new heart reached to Ven’s light and became one soul with him as one pure light, and also thank to Sora’s light, Ven’s heart was mended to becoming whole as an individual heart again in KH3.
Tumblr media
Link gif : https://giphy.com/gifs/hQocbtrfymNPxxMsUy/html5
The dove is the symbol of Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is referred to as "the Lord, the Giver of Life" in the Nicene Creed, as Sora’s heart gave Ven the second change of life. Thus Sora’s heart is like a universal creator of giving life to everything.
And Vanitas, being the pure darkness, reached to Xehanort’s side after being defeated by Ven :
Tumblr media
Vanitas connects to Xehanort by soul and heart, as the part of yin (dark). Just like how Ven has a strong bond with Vanitas, Xehanort has a strong bond with Sora in similar way. They both make a balance of light and dark, which is the inseparableness of life. A human made of 50% good and 50% bad. The duality. The Twins (Gemini).
The Foretellers animal masks and Keyblade animals also represent their sins. Luxu is the only one receiving “No Name” from the Master, as Luxu’s sin is ‘Lust’ whose animal is a goat, which also resides in “No Name” as the lion with goat horns. They both formed a secret relationship, that Luxu and the MoM’s connection just like Xehanort and Sora.
The head’s shape of ‘No Name’ looks similar to an eagle spreading wings :
Tumblr media
In early Christianity the eagle was seen as a symbol of hope and strength, representing salvation. The eagle appears twice in the book of Revelation; both times in a context that suggests it is on the side of God.
The eagle is the chief over all the winged creatures. Eagle conveys the powers and messages of the spirit; it is man's connection to the divine because it flies higher than any other bird. The eagle brings the message of renewed life because it is associated with the east winds - the direction of spring, dawn and rebirth.
As an ancient symbol the eagle is associated to solar and the Greeks regarded it as the sacred emblem of Zeus and as the highest god by the Druids. For those fighting for freedom, the Eagle's ability to fly high to the tops of mountains and silently into valleys, makes it associated to a free spirit. In myth and legend, the Eagle represents the Sun God who symbolizes light and power fire and water as its elements. It is also a symbol of spiritual power and courage because it does not fear thunder and lightning.
Eagle is spiritual symbol of the ruler of the skies. As eagle soars through skies... he owns the skies, he is the ruler of the skies as he is one of the largest birds capable of taking flight.
An eagle flies in the sky and Zeus is the god of the skies. An eagle is a very fierce, majestic, strong bird and a ruler of the universe would want a symbol that matches him and Zeus is fierce and strong.
Who fits to the “sky” symbol more than Sora?
Symbolism of ‘sky’ and ‘ReMind’
About the traitor in KHUX :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Foretellers Book of Prophecies all missing a page which divulges the info about the traitor. The most suspicious person who owns the full book, as well as the Lost Page, is the Master of Masters only, who plotted everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The traitor in question is the one who bears the sigil and they are unable to permit disharmony. In other words, they can’t accept the unbalance between light and dark (sounds very similar to Master Xehanort). That’s why the traitor was trying to end the world by starting the Keyblade War, which is the Master of Masters doings, who sow seeds of doubt on his disciples. Ava seems to know who this text is talking about but she’s hard to believe it.
I have a feeling the Foretellers all cast their suspicious on the MoM but they just don’t want to believe it since they wholeheartedly trust their Master’s teachings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is clear that the MoM is the traitor who wants to preserve the balance between light and dark, which is why each of unions have to act alone and trust no one but themselves. Remind me of the loss in Sora’s past, he put too much light in one place and unfortunately, those hearts lack the balance to resist darkness, it is the reason their hearts were easily torn apart by heartless. And the MoM fully acknowledged this as if it was his past experiences.
Also, the MoM’s name is engraved on the black box, ”X Super”. The MoM represents for the sin of Pride by the lion’s head Keyblade (No Name) and in Latin : Pride = Superbia.
Tumblr media
What about the “X” stands before his name? The sigil X seems to be a symbol for the MoM which ties close to his name. Therefore, the Master of Masters has full potential to be the traitor in question.
The name of Lucifer, the embodiment of Pride reveals some point :
Lucifer means Light Bringer, from the Latin lux “light” and ferre “to bear or bring.” The word Lucifer is found in only one place in the Bible — Isaiah 14:12 — but only in the King James and related versions: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! . . .”  In other translations we find: “O shining star of the dawn!” (Moffatt) or “O morning-star, son of the dawn!” (Hebrew Bible). The King James Version is based on the Vulgate, the Latin translation of Jerome. Jerome translated the Hebrew helel (bright or brilliant one) as “Lucifer,” which was a reasonable Latin equivalent. And yet it is this Lucifer, the bright one or light bearer, that came to be understood by so many as the name for Satan, Lord of Darkness.
Sora has always been a hero of light, a Light Bearer aka Lucifer. And the word lux (aka light) in Lucifer’s name which bears the letter X on it, so essentially, light is integrally linked to the sigil X.
In DDD, before fighting Xemnas, he says to Sora “As the Flash bears the sigil, so your name shall be known as that of a recusant.” He referred Sora’s flash or light (meaning lux in latin) contains the sigil X, this also links to the MoM whose name including a recusant’s sigil : X Super. It basically confirms Sora and the MoM are one and the same.
And one more thing is the boxes colors seem to match Sora’s clothes as well, especially in DDD :
Tumblr media
Sora wears black and red clothes, and bears the sigil X on his chest, which matches the box with same colors. And the inner of the mark looks very much like a lion’s head, which also fits well with Sora’s spiky hair.
Tumblr media
Stretch the meaning of the colors :
The color black symbolizes suffering and death in the Bible.
Red symbolizes atonement, sacrifice, life, death, and flesh.
The color white is the presence of all the light in the visible spectrum.
The color white is the color of the sigil X on Sora’s shirt, it is the symbol of lux/light in this case. The red indicates Sora will voluntarily sacrifice for anyone as a hero of light and the black symbolic of his death or in other words, the expiry of the light, as the white of X (lux) lies in the black of death. As in- light falls into darkness.
Tumblr media
There are a total of 13 spikes that point out the inner and 7 spikes of the inside. 13 darknesses and 7 lights forging the X-blade, the counterpart of the true Kingdom Hearts. It alludes to Sora being the personification of the X-blade and also the true Kingdom Hearts.
Furthermore, Sora’s hair shape is extremely suitable for the pattern of the X-blade, both shaping into a triangle :
Tumblr media
I think this pattern is a symbol of Halo. Halo, also called nimbus,  in art, radiant circle or disk surrounding the head of a holy person, a representation of spiritual character through the symbolism of light. It does pretty fit to Sora being the symbolism of light and also the X-blade personification.
Besides, talk about X-blade and Ultima Keyblades, I think their shapes taking the form of Phoenix’s wings :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The mythical phoenix animal totem is the keeper of the fire in all of creation. It represents transformation, death, and rebirth in its fire. As a powerful spiritual totem, the phoenix is the ultimate symbol of strength and renewal. As both a fire and solar symbol, the phoenix animal guide is symbolic of the sun, which “dies” in setting each night only to be reborn in rising the next morning. In this sense, it never truly dies; rather, it is an immortal creature continually rising from the ashes. All of its attributes stay on theme with these ideas. In addition to the above mentioned traits of power, transformation, rebirth and life, the phoenix spirit totem is also widely regarded as a prominent symbol of season, coherence, longevity, imagination and protection.
The phoenix’s ability to sacrifice itself willingly to death only to be reborn was a strong representation of Jesus for Christians. Even up until the Middle Ages, people of this region associated the phoenix in ashes with Christ dying on the cross and returning from the dead after three days.
The legendary phoenix is a large, grand bird, much like an eagle or peacock. It is brilliantly coloured in reds, purples and yellows, as it is associated with the rising sun and fire. Sometimes, a nimbus will surround it, illuminating it in the sky. Its eyes are blue and shine like sapphires. It builds its own funeral pyre or nest, or ignites it with a single clap of its wings. After death, it rises gloriously from the ashes and flies away.
So if the Ultima Keyblade is Sora’s strongest weapon as the figure of the Phoenix folding down its wings, then the X-blade is highly possible his true Ultima weapon as the Phoenix with wings out stretched and also associated with Jesus on the cross. The Phoenix always being resurrected from its ashes and never truly dies, it will be reborn over and over, the Phoenix represents the idea that the end is only the beginning. It seems like KH3 is the end of Sora’s journey with his disappearance, in fact, it is a fresh beginning for a new chapter.
Read about Ultima Weapons reference to Kairi’s keyblade here.
Also, I found an interesting info that might be the origin of X-blade, as well as how the true Kingdom Hearts was created in the first place :
God promised Abraham that if he found only twenty righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah, he would not destroy both cities. Solomon spent 7 years building the house of God in Jerusalem and another 13 years building his own home for a total number of 20 years. After he had completed both buildings, Solomon gave Hiram, the king of Tyre, twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
If you take Sora as the thirteen darkness. The number XIII of one tarot card, it symbolizes “Death”. The tarot card “Death” means : Endings, Severe illness, Profound change, Letting go of attachments, Failure, Mortality.
Tumblr media
All of these words describe the major turning point of Sora’s fate. Especially his fate in KH3 : his ending, his mortality, his loose of connections towards everyone he loves... ect...
Death Tarot Card Meanings and Description :
The Death card shows the Messenger of Death – a skeleton dressed in black armour, riding a white horse. The skeleton represents the part of the body which survives long after life has left it; the armour symbolises invincibility and that death will come no matter what. Its dark colour is that of mourning and the mysterious, while the horse is the colour of purity and acts as a symbol of strength and power. Death carries a black flag decorated with a white, five-petal rose, reflecting beauty, purification and immortality and the number five representing change. Together, these symbols reveal that death isn’t just about life ending. Death is about endings and beginnings, birth and rebirth, change and transformation. There is beauty in death, and it is an inherent part of being alive.
A royal figure appears to be dead on the ground, while a young woman, child and bishop plead with the skeletal figure to spare them. But, as we all know, death spares no one.
In the background, a boat floats down the river, akin to the mythological boats escorting the dead to the afterlife. On the horizon, the sun sets between two towers (which also appear in the Moon Tarot card), in a sense dying each night and being reborn every morning.
As applying to KH meaning of ‘death’, like Sora’s disappearance in KH3. This card does not foretell physical death, but deaths of other kinds: spiritual, mental, emotional. While it is associated with foreboding and doom, Death Arcana also symbolizes metamorphosis and deep change, regeneration and cycles. So the fact that Sora misused the power of waking to put everyone’s heart back to the original states meaning the fate has dealt his Death, but it is the path of his choosing whether to avert or accept the fate that allowed him to go so far, hinting that Death may be Sora's true arcana.
However, while Death depicts inevitable change arising from endings, it is important to understand the card also holds the seeds of something new; new life imagery is as abundant in the Death card as images of endings. Therefore, while things inevitably end, they also clear the way for something new. With this mean, Sora completed a chapter in his life, putting the past behind him and creating a whole new life for himself. Free himself from a past that no longer serves him well and proceed toward the future.
And one more thing is Death tarot’s element being Water. Like if someone falls in the state of sleep and find themselves drowning in water or darkness, which also mean ‘death’ is getting close to them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That being said, the Darkside made of water symbolizes Sora’s death as he stepping in the Final World (where I believe Kairi’s heart was there too after she was taken by the swarm of shadows). And after being struck by Xehanort, Kairi’s body turned into completely water, same situation applies to Xion (being Kairi in Sora’s memories), whilst they were touching ‘death’. Though, I think Kairi and Xion’s deaths are the exceptional case, because Kairi is the most special one to Sora. Then like, they share one soul / heart, making her ‘death’ too, having the form of water, similar to him. So on, the Darkside merely got its upper in water and the lower part is black, meaning Sora hadn’t completely died yet due to Kairi holding him back to this world as she was staying with him in that Darkside form.
Tumblr media
“Some say “kye”, but the meaning is the same. Death... A letter that spells endings.”
Exactly the same meaning with ‘Death’ arcana. Spelling the ending of Keyblade War, including Sora’s ending, thus, ‘X’ tied close to Sora’s fate. It is not a coincidence Xehanort picked Sora being the thirteen member to fulfill his goal. The number XIII is the ‘Death’ arcanas number. Sora sacrified his life to save everyone, which in turn, spelled out the ending for him but also a new beginning for the world, as Master Xehanort’s wish is to restart the world to its original state began in darkness, also a new beginning for everything, a new start.... so this means Master Xehanort actually the one who won in the end, all of this already decided in his plan.
Let’s connect the dots :
X Super = Lux Superbia = Lucifer Pride = MoM = Sora
Another meaning is Lux also stands for Luxu, full name is Luxuria (Lust). And “Lust” is the embodiment of Xehanort’s sin, because the goat’s head symbolizes Young Xehanort’s Keyblade and Master Xehanort’s chess piece and his armor (in Scala ad Caelum) also have the form of a goat-head. Therefore :
X Super = Luxu Superbia = Xehanort MoM = Xehanort Sora
Btw, Xehanort or ‘No Heart’ without the letter X in anagram has different meanings. As in- ‘Another’ or ‘A Thorne’. Thorne comes from the Old English or Old Norse words which mean thorn.
’Xehanort Sora’ means ‘Another Sora’, or ‘A thorn in Sora’s heart’ or ‘A thorn in the lion’s paw’. Indicating the MoM is Another Sora with twisted mind. He’s certain that you can’t change destinies, no matter how hard you tries, as he said he just need the world after prophecy, no need the world before it and he was waiting for THAT future comes. Xehanort (A Thorne) has always been a thorn under Sora’s paw, under Sora’s control and also causing the pain for Sora. It basically confirms the MoM coaxed Luxu (the previous incarnation of Xehanort) into fulfilling the future, and no Book of Prophecy for him causing any paradox. Ordinarily, a paradox is impossible since we were informed that destiny can’t be altered in any way and we all know that multi-worldline can be contructed within KH universe.
To be more specific, the laws of causality do not allow contradiction to occur. If the result of the event - the effect - is changed, the event itself - the cause - also changes to prevent a paradox. Whenever a major event causes divergence to change, the timeline is reconstructed to prevent paradoxes from occurring. For example, let’s say that a major event causes this worldline to diverge into a new worldline, call it worldline B. On worldline B, Sora won his battle against Xehanort. As the timeline is recontructed, all of your memories of the tragedy and light expiry will disappear, to be replaced by memories of you doing something else. In other words, by changing the present, you change the past. And it should be impossible for you to retain memories of a previous worldline. Unless you too are a time traveler. Young Xehanort is an example of a time-traveler, that’s why he keeps the memories of everything Sora has done when he altered the present, including how many time Sora was stucked in time-loop.
I’m thinking that by changing the present of his friends hearts being torn apart, Sora even altered the past of this timeline. His doing did reconstruct the entire timeline from past to present, that would be sense about Young Xehanort playing chess in Scala ad Caelum looks younger than Young Xehanort in DDD who still lived in the Destiny Island. Because they are Xehanorts from different-worldlines.
Unless you let your past self knowing about you in the future, seeing what you do, well yes, that could cause a major time paradox. Because of that, the MoM doesn’t give Luxu a copy of the Book of Prophecy to preventing Luxu would divulge that info to Sora (the MoM’s past self). Plus, the MoM doesn’t want to let Master Xehanort know that himself (as Sora) can overwrite realities in some way, so this means except Young Xehanort, no one else knows Sora changing the past. The MoM just needs the fate of the world come after prophecy, after all. It is a loop. A complex conflict between Sora and Xehanort, they are in quantum entanglement until the cycle is broken. Luxu has a connection to Xehanort, since he is responsible for passing down ‘No Name’ to his apprentices through ages. And the MoM has a strong connection to Sora. In other words, the two of them is like two sides in one coin. Sora is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
The fact that the black box is eerily similar to DDD Sora must mean something... Why Sora materializes his dreams inside the Realm of Sleep and why Riku could gain the ability to dive in Sora’s dream as his Dream Eater? Remember Sora’s dreams are EXTREMELY similar with the Sleeping Worlds that can also be unlocked through Sleeping Key Holes. Not to mention Sleeping Worlds are the worlds that fall into darkness. So does this mean Sora’s heart has always been in the state of sleep from the start? Those are suspicious situations, no matter how you think of it. And remember what Young Xehanort told Riku :”How did you get here? By choice or change? You cannot control what you’re not aware of. This wakeless sleep will be your prison... to wander forever” sounds very fishy. He’s wondering why Riku was sent to Sora’s dream, more than that, why does he say for sure as if Sora has been in a wakeless sleep and will never waking up? He even said Sora’s heart’ll sleep forever in darkness and no way for him returning to the original world, Sora being the 13th darkness is already decided, what’s destined to be happen can’t be changed. This guy knows a lot of things about Sora that no one does. And consider that Sora went to the Final World at the start of KH3 and some strange situation leads Riku suddenly got a new haircut, did timelines swap? ...possibly something happened between those timelines that leads to a divergence of universe?
Continue from here : How do worldlines work in KH universe?
And there Sora’s words expressing his feelings after the ending :
“They can take your world.”
Their world was plunged into darkness in the Keyblade Graveyard.
“They can take your heart, cut you loose from all you know.”
By abusing the power of waking, Sora used all of his heart to save every hearts connected to him. Per the result, he was cut loose from all of his connections. This is what the Organization wanted, isolate Sora’s heart from all he knows.
“But if it’s your fate, then every step forward will always be a step closer to home.”
“Home” here means ‘Shibuya’ in the secret ending, right? Due to the fact Sora and the MoM were in that same place after Sora disappeared, indicates that was their ‘home’ before they went apart.
Now think about it, the MoM kept saying “The thing about me disappearing is not decided” until all of his apprentices actually understood their roles, then the Foretellers started the Keyblade War, after that time, the MoM truly disappeared. EXTREMELY similar to Sora, who also disappeared after the Keyblade War. Sora and the MoM share the same fate.
---------------------------------
What’s inside the black box?
The Book of Prophecy, or rather, the MoM’s heart. Similar situation to Sora’s journal, KH Coded does explain this :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Book of Prophecy and the MoM’s heart are deeply connected. It is why I said the book and the MoM’s memories / heart are one and the same.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What was locked inside the box is, likely, the MoM’s memories. Or rather, the MoM locked his old memories away. The heart locked everyone important to him, it is Sora.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sora’s journal and the Book of Prophecy all can create data-scape, like “shaping worlds”.
As the journal and the Book of Prophecy represent their hearts, Sora’s heart is similar to the MoM, they all can create events or even worlds that not yet take place. The MoM shapes the world through the Book of Prophecies. Sora overwrites realities or shapes a new worldline. In other words, both can create a new reality.
There’s more reference than that :
Tumblr media
The covers of the Book of Prophecies have the mark of a demon-wing and an angel-wing on each side, and the heart shape inbetween them. Riku’s “Way to Dawn” Keyblade also has an angel-wing and a demon-wing with its heart-shape keychain. This decribes the balance between light and dark (yin-yang) and the MoM definitely requires the balance of all the worlds.
Sora shaped the Sleeping Worlds through his dream and Riku dives in Sora’s dream, since both of them are the necessary of making sure the worlds wouldn’t lack the balance. And due YX split the worlds, they had to separate each other. During this time, both worlds exist parallel together and they can all be viewed as Meta-Worlds.
The black box works same with Schroedinger's CatBox in a meta-way. Until the box is opened, multi-worlds/possibilities all exist at the same time and when the cat is revealed, only one state will become true.
The universe of Kingdom Hearts held in Meta dramatizes the struggle between consistent histories and the re-coherence of opposing observers into one 'true' observation. The black box does not exist until the end of the Keyblade War, as Maleficent states :
“I mean the box does not exist now. Light and darkness are fated to clash. A Keyblade War is upon us. We need only wait for that destined moment. No matter the victors, the box will be revealed.”
That is the moment one history becomes the truth inside the black box (because the Book of Prophecy shaping it through Sora’s dream). Sora altered the fate of light from being expired by shaping his dream as an opposing observer of the former reality into one ‘true’ observation : Xehanorts losed in the Keyblade War and his friends were saved.
This message is trying to tell you that “The future in the Book of Prophecy is already seen by your eyes, but you are the ones who shape your dreams and dive along with it, in order to make it becomes a new truth. A new future.”
Also, Luxord mentioned “the box contains hope”. Easy to see that, because it can create a new future. “In every heart, there’s hope.” - Sora (San Fransokyo).
Sounds familiar with Pandora’s box :
According to Greek legend, the first woman, Pandora, was actually sent as a curse to Zues' men (See, you knew it was true, guys) and was given a present upon her marriage. The present was a box that she was told never to open. Needless to say her curiosity got the better of her (like eating forbidden fruit) and she unleashed eight demons unto the world. The first seven being the seven deadly sins, and the last, which she managed to capture, was hope.
The box contains a heart, the MoM (aka Sora)’s heart. Sora is the Hope that looking for the light in the darkness, one absorb despair and return it to hope.
In short : Sora’s heart = the Book of Prophecy = the MoM’s heart.
The Master of Masters is like the creator of Kingdom Hearts universe, he wrote the entire book and make sure it goes along well with his script without any mistake. His eye can see through the future, none of the events beyond his Gazing Eye, so he is like an Omnipresent being, the God of Kingdom Hearts. Sora is the only one who can perform reality-warping / rewrite the script of the MoM, so he is indeed at the level of God. It is self-aware to see that they are the same person, because only the creator himself is entitled to rewrite his script for whatever he wishes to change.
More crazy twist : inside the box is the entire Kingdom Hearts universe we have been witnessing. It doesn’t sound so surprise since we all know that the book can truly make up an entire world, like a fairy tale. Some evidences showing this is : when Luxu was asked what his mission is, he looked at the box and said “it’s a long story”. So we can guess that the events he has been travelling all lying inside the box. Luxu actually disappeared in the box, that’s why the MoM had to reveal the secret of the box to Luxu and also why Luxu brought it along with him before he disappeared and reappeared again with the box beside him at the Keyblade Graveyard.
The MoM set everything in motion beforehand for his younger self going to the future and finish it for the MoM returning in Shibuya. The X-blade returned to Sora (the MoM), which forged from “No Name”, presumedly it would turn back into “No Name” after Sora closed Kingdom Hearts. It is why Luxu could take it back in the Secret Ending. And yet, Verum Rex’s maybe one of the worlds that never existed in timeline that Blaine mentioned, same as we got Wreck-It-Ralph in KHUX, the worlds of video games now in account of breaking 4th wall and were connected to the data-world within the real world. They’re gonna bring up more and more layers of fiction here.
The Book of Prophecy stored inside the box is part of plan to conserve the MoMs old memories and possible to come back in the future by putting his own memories back and revived. I think 'Shibuya’ is not a world pulled from Book of Prophecies, but a video game connected with some data-world, just like Wreck-It-Ralph, and it probably influences on the real world if they’re gonna make it becomes a ‘break 4th-wall’ phenomenon. The reason why the MoM and Sora ended up in ‘Shibuya’ together might because he was separated from Sora’s heart after he overusing PoW, possibly he would merge with Sora (the memories he locked away) to be completed. To that end, the MoM would be awaken and return to his apprentices.
Also, who is back in the Secret Ending? Luxu and 4 Foretellers. It is a sign that the reincarnated MoM did summon his disciples. Sora overused the Power of Waking to saving the hearts connected to him (aka the MoM) and that brought all of them back. As Luxu told Sora “Accept the power you’re given. Find the hearts joined to yours.” Yes, Sora follows his heart and called Luxu and the Foretellers hearts back through the Power of Waking because he is the MoM’s heart. Sora, the Hope carries the Foretellers moving forward the future.
