this is such a hot take and i know that bc everybody is literally obsessed with it but i think nimona is actually one of the worst movies ive ever seen (if not the actual worst). this is maybe because i have been a fan since it was just a webcomic, then turned into a graphic novel, and so i was so ridiculously excited when they announced the movie only for it to be an embarrassing stupid 100% basic movie when that is LITERALLY THE OPPOSITE of what the book was. the book was revolutionary, the movie is 'inclusive'. listen. i love inclusivity. i love diversity especially in childrens movies. but PLEASE. just MAKE YOUR OWN MOVIE. nimona is in absolutely no world a childrens book so why defile its majesty with this idiocy

Introducing: the DND Hazbin AU!!!

Sue me some of these classes and races are homebrewed…

Background: for board game night, the subject of DND comes up and Vaggie reveals that she was kind of a nerd while she was alive. She’s a bit self conscious about it but?? Charlie has heard her talk about it before and has wanted to play for ages but they haven’t had a group of people to play with. In a way it’s genius because. Dnd is basically an ultimate team bonding exercise; there’s a lot of empathy and problem solving involved…Vaggie is convinced to give a crash course on the rules, prints out a couple of character sheets, and the rest of the hotel (as per first character creations usually go) basically create themselves as their characters 💀.

Campaign summary: the world is set in a high fantasy adjacent of hell, where Charlie is dead broke and has 0 means raising money for a hotel to redeem the sinners of this realm. With the rest of her party, they set off from avernus (the top ring of the nine hells of Baator ) to Nessus (the deepest ring), where Lucifer has isolated himself within a securely guarded fortress. She intends to ask him to get an audience with heaven to plead her cause.

Team Comp: So the tank for this team is definitely Vaggie, with Charlie and Husk as the support + healers, nifty as a front line damage dealer, Pentious, Alastor, and Angel as long distance damage dealers. To balance out this team maybe Charlie multiclasses to a barbarian down the line??

i’m sure it’s obvious or whatever, but a majority of the things shen qingqiu is “oblivious” of, he is actively trying to be- he doesn’t want to change his preexisting worldview.

character development moment: i was very nearly overcome with a rare weakness to FOMO as literally all of my irl friends have been regularly playing that one trendy roblox fashion game together and i got as far as googling roblox with half-intent to finally download it and was only stopped when i looked up the game on twitter, immediately remembered that it's a game for children that a bunch of grown ass adults have fully taken over and made increasingly toxic for some reason, and also tbh just doesn't even look that fun or good in general and snapped out of it like Oh I'm Too Old For This

whenever I see talk/discourse of how heavy brutal angst of kid's shows is the absolute peak of fan work, the deepest, most honest, look into the harsh realities of this show for babies... I always, somehow, end up thinking about that Smurf torture nursery guy on that one Smurf fan forum, who was genuinely just trying to write heartbreaking hurt/comfort about abused baby smurfs, and it was pretty well received on the site. But then outsiders found out about it, and now there's a ton of youtube videos talking about this guy like he's the world's Most Deranged murder sicko who's definitely too weird in the head to live a normal human life.

first of all, i might sound absolutely insane for this but hear me out: i've been told (and this might be fake so i don't really know) that phones nowadays have this really cool feature (again, never tried it myself so i don't know) called a flashlight???? i have no idea but it's supposed to make a light so you can see things better in the dark and not use your screen... anyway, just a tip for you bestie!

and now, i'm gonna be serious again: i might change it just out of spite. i really just might. making it absolutely pitch black. my next theme is actually gonna absorb light, it's gonna be insane.

Sorry if you‘ve been asked this before, but since we know you‘re fav lmk characters, I was wondering what you‘re favorite duos and trios were?

And/or however many characters you wanna group together. Just in general, the character dynamics you find neat!

(My guess is that MK and Mei are somewhere on the top of the list- if not THE top)

One of my favorite things about lmk (of which there are many lol), is that you could throw two darts, and whatever two characters the darts land on are bound to have an interesting dynamic.

One of my favorite episodes is the Sandy and Huntsman episode (2x08), Tang and Macaque also have an intriguing conflict in 3x08, and Pigsy and Chang'e (3x07) have such a heartfelt shared passion that you can't help but enjoy their on screen time together.

I'm someone who wants a sort of Ne Zha and Yellowtusk "we reluctantly work together" arc, where even though Yellowtusk may have helped nearly bring the world to it's destruction, he ultimately helped save it, and he also happens to know a thing or too about keeping the Jade Emperor's power contained. I think it'd really fit in with lmk's "past mistakes vs making the right choices now" theme—in all honesty Yellowtusk has already paid his time with an eternity spent in the scroll—and now he can truly help make a better world. I think it'd be a neat way to keep him involved in the story, give Ne Zha someone to bounce off of (they both view power as sacred and a huge responsibility, unlike Wukong for example who is much more flippant with power), and would give some juicy drama ("You would betray your brothers?") between Peng and Yellowtusk later down the line.

Though anon you're 100% right, MK and Mei are at the top of my favorite dynamic list lol (They're whole motivation is to protect each other out of 100% platonic love. Obsessed with them). I'm also really partial for the MK, Mei, and Sandy trio that pops up here and there (1x03, 1x04, 3x04, 3x06). Traffic light trio is a treat, and the sunburst duo has my heart forever and always (I love seeing the way MK and Wukong's relationship has developed over the course of the show, both for the better and worse). Pigsy and Tang are always a delight (thank you 1x04, 2x03, 2x04, 3x05, 4x04, and specifically the line "Sometimes it's that little bit of char that makes for a more flavorful meat! Even if it is a bit tangy."), they're definitely at the top of my list. Obviously I like shadowpeach, and shadowpeach + MK (ooooo the monkeys are such delicious/tragic foils oooo), and I think Mei and Wukong have a really interesting dynamic (Wukong seeing Ao Lie in Mei, Mei viewing Wukong as someone who has hurt MK). Wukong and Azure's dynamic is also super interesting (Azure with his unrequited crush and heartbreak), so is LBD and MK's (could talk forever about these two), however I'll cut this off here since I could probably go on for a long while about this specific topic.

because it’s all about cycles and it’s all about family this is how it’s going to go down in succession (im delusional). shiv will find herself an incredibly rich single or unhappily married mother to a child she never wanted and as such she will never fully be apart of the business in the way she wanted because motherhood will be the perfect ammunition for her to be blocked even further out. she will understand she is becoming caroline and there is nothing she can do to fight it. roman will have to go. either he dies or he leaves but however it happens I doubt it’s a sensible cathartic decision he himself makes. that leaves kendall to finally at last take complete control of waystar just how he always dreamed. he is in charge alone at the top. he is logan. he even has his own rose (roman) who he lost along the way while chasing his cravings for power and for whom he’ll always blame himself for a little, and he then has his own ewan (shiv) who hates him for keeping her out and taking control and forgetting everything he came from (the family) because at the end of the day he was just her older brother and she was his little sister and now he is her father and she is her mother and people are dead and gone and it’s all unhappily ever after but hey they’re rich and in the end someone succeeded alright!!!
