Hello, everyone! I'm making this post at 5:17am because I don't know what proper sleep is! 🙃 Yaaaaaayyy...! 🫠
Anyways, I recently finished a new bunny hat design that I know for sure you bitches, bros, and enby hoes will absolutely adore! Because I do!
Presenting... 🌟Pastel Dreams🌟
It's soft and simple design is sure to get notice while you're out and about, and for those chilly days/nights where the cold air is a-blowin', do not worry! The long bunny ears aren't just for stimming, but they can also be used as a scarf! Isn't that neat?
I'm considering taking on made-to-order commissions if there are enough people who show interest. Hell, I'll may list them on my Ko-Fi store if need be.
...What? Need more incentive to want your own hat? Really? Hmph! Well... So be it, then! Don't say I didn't want you!
Behold! My SPECIAL ATTACK!!
LOOK AT MY BABIES!! LOOK AT THEM!!! They are so stinkin' cute, it should be a crime! Bein' total pros at modelin' their Mama's bunny hat! 🥺
...Huh? Check the kids? Why, what's—Orion! 💦
...Anywaaaays, I'm long overdue for sleep. I'm gonna hit the sack! If you want your own Pastel Dreams hat, please lemme know! Or if you wanna check out my Ko-Fi store to see what I currently have listed, you can check it out here:
If you have any questions, feel free to message me! My ask box is also available if you're wondering how this succubi has some babies that look awfully similar to some very handsome guardians/deities you may know.😉

hi! I see you have a bunch of requests so I’m sorry to request but do you think you could write an Elijah angst with fluff ? Like y/n is upset because she thinks that elijah likes Hayley but he’s actually in love with her and has been for centuries but has always been too scared to tell her.
Always
18+ ---- {Masterlist}
Upon your unexpected appearance at the compound, centuries after being presumed dead, Elijah has to grapple with feelings he long buried and the consequences that come with it.
~♡♡ Thanks for the request anon(s) & @vervain3 ♡♡ - I combined all three ideas and made a jealousy triangle {square? circle? idk}~
3k words - Warnings: a little smutty right at the end, drama, angst, jealousy... vaguely refer to events from season 2 & 3... Klaus interfering & loving all the drama (Regina George energy)
It was a rare thing for Elijah Mikaelson to fall in love, but when he did, it was forever. In his one thousand years of living he could count on one hand the number of times his heart had truly belonged to someone else and he could recall, with exact detail, everything about them.
There was Tatia, the first woman he ever fell for, and then there was Katerina, or Katherine, who was a thorn in his side and a constant source of regret. Then Celeste came into the picture, a beautiful and powerful witch, her loss and betrayal still a bitter taste in his mouth.
And then there was you, the brightest light in his dark life. Your face still burned brightly in his memories and your name still danced on his tongue like the sweetest melody. You did things to him that no one else could, dissolving his burdens with just a smile.
You had captured his heart with just one look and he had been yours, mind, body, and soul. He was so in love with you, it hurt.
So when you died, he was shattered, torn apart and left to deal with the pain alone. He would see your face everywhere, haunting him and reminding him of his failure to protect the one he loved. To never be able to tell you how he felt was the most painful thing of all.
Centuries had passed since he lost you, his grief now a dull ache in his heart, but nothing had ever truly made the pain go away.
Hayley's presence in his life mended the broken pieces somewhat, but they were still damaged. His feelings for the hybrid would never be enough to erase the ghost of his love for you.
He accepted being content with what he had, knowing he didn't deserve anything more. That he was lucky to have met his soul mate, even if you were never truly his. To know that true love was real, if not fleeting.
So when he saw you, sitting on the sofa in the courtyard, laughing and chatting with Klaus, his heart stopped. He wondered if he was imagining you again, if his mind was playing a cruel trick on him.
But you turned, your gaze meeting his and the world stopped. He felt his knees grow weak, and his heart race.
You were real, you were here, you were alive.
And you looked just as beautiful as the day he last saw you.
But there was a bit of a problem, he was with Hayley now. You were back and he didn't know how to feel about that.
"Elijah, how long has it been? You look well." You greet him with a smile, pulling him in for a hug.
Elijah hesitated before wrapping his arms around you, inhaling the scent that he had thought he'd never experience again. He couldn't help but hold you a little tighter, afraid that if he let you go, you'd disappear.
"Y/N," he whispers softly.
You pull back, noticing the way his eyes seem to burn brighter, full of emotions you couldn't read.
"How are you? I haven't seen you since..." you trail off.
"Since you died," he finishes, his eyes looking at you curiously.
"Since you left me behind," you corrected him.
Elijah frowned, not understanding what you were talking about. The night Mikael returned, you were killed and your body burnt, at least, that's what Klaus had told him.
"Klaus said you were killed, we didn't have time to retrieve your body."
You shake your head. "That wasn't me, he was mistaken."
"So where were you?" he asked, still unable to believe you were really here.
"Here and there," you said with a smile, none of that mattered now.
You always had a soft spot for Elijah, when you first met him and his family, you found him to be so stoic and melancholic. You delighted in making him laugh, his smile lighting up his whole face and giving him the air of youth and carefreeness that you knew he had buried deep within him.
Nothing ever happened between you, he tended to fall for more serious types. But you never stopped loving him, he was always going to be the one you couldn't forget.
"You're as bad as Niklaus," Elijah said, chuckling lightly.
"I'll take that as a compliment," you grinned.
You were interrupted by a beautiful brunette with stunning hazel eyes, she walked up and placed her hand on Elijah's shoulder, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Y/N, this is Hayley," Elijah introduced, his hand going to rest on her back.
Of course, you thought. She was exactly his type, beautiful and fierce.
You gave her a small smile, shaking her hand.
"How do you know Elijah?" she asked, curious.
"We met a very long time ago, in another place," you answered, giving Elijah a sidelong glance. "In another life."
Hayley looked between the two of you, sensing there was more to your relationship than you were letting on. She wasn't going to let you anywhere near what was hers.
"What brings you here? To New Orleans, I mean?"
"I heard the original family has settled here and I wanted to catch up with old friends," you replied. "But mostly, I'm just passing through,"
Hayley frowned, "old friends," she repeated, her hand tightening around Elijah's shoulder.
She had only just met you, but already, she knew she didn't like you. You seemed to have a permanent smirk on your face that reminded her of Klaus, and that made her distrust you instantly. And the way Elijah was looking at you made her feel uneasy, she had never seen him look so...happy.
"Oh," Elijah's expression faltered, his disappointment barely noticeable. "You're leaving?"
"Well, I don't want to overstay my welcome," you joked, your eyes flickering to Hayley's.
"How about you join us tonight for dinner," Klaus said, walking up and joining the group, he always knew exactly how to make an awkward situation worse. "There's someone I'd like you to meet."
You gave him a small smile. "Sure,"
When you arrived for dinner, you were surprised by the amount of people Klaus had invited. It was a bit of a relief, it would mean that you didn't have to be alone with Elijah and Hayley.
Klaus stood at the head of the table, making introductions, there were a number of vampires and werewolves present, including a werewolf alpha named Jackson and a handsome vampire named Marcel.
You greeted them all politely, before taking a seat next to Marcel.
"Y/N, this is my dear friend Marcellus," Klaus greeted, "you two have a remarkable amount in common."
Marcel smiles, "hello, beautiful."
"Hi," you smiled back, your eyes lingering on his, he had a killer smile and a charm to him that was difficult to resist.
You were glad to have someone to talk to, you could tell Marcel had a great sense of humor and you enjoyed his company. You also found yourself attracted to him, he was definitely your type.
"So, how do you know the Mikaelsons?" Marcel asked, a little confused. "I didn't think they had any friends outside their family,"
"Klaus turned me centuries ago, when they were hiding out in my town." You explain, taking a sip of your wine. "They needed allies, so he made some of us into vampires."
"Ahh, been there, done that." Marcel replied with a smile, leaning in closer, his hand brushing against yours.
Elijah watched from the other end of the table, his eyes flickering between the pair, his stomach knotting with every touch and look exchanged between you.
You didn't miss his glances, or his frowns, and you wondered what his problem was. He had his gorgeous girlfriend by his side, why was he looking at you this way?
Klaus delighted in the growing jealousy he could see bubbling up inside Elijah. He knew his brother had always loved you, but never made a move. And now, he was paying for it.
Klaus watched as you flirted with Marcel, enjoying the sight of Elijah growing increasingly frustrated.
"They seem cozy, how cute," he mused, his eyes gleaming.
"Yes, it appears that way," Elijah replied, his jaw clenching.
Hayley smiled at you and Marcel, "they’d make a good couple,"
"Would they?" Elijah asked, a hint of irritation in his tone.
Hayley didn't notice, she was too busy watching the way your eyes lingered on each other's and the way Marcel leaned in close and whispered in your ear, making you laugh.
Elijah didn't miss the spark in your eyes as you spoke with Marcel, the way your face lit up and the way his fingers traced patterns on your skin.
He wanted to rip his heart out.
He felt himself growing angrier by the minute, his hands clenched and his jaw tight. He could barely keep up with the conversation, his attention focused on you, his jealousy eating away at him.
There you were, so close, your laughter filling the air, the sound he had been longing to hear for so long. And he was stuck sitting across from you, watching you get closer to another man.
"Jackson, tell me about this ritual you mentioned earlier," Klaus said, interrupting Elijah's thoughts.
"Well," Jackson began, looking between Hayley and Elijah awkwardly. "It could possibly give the pack hybrid-like abilities,"
Hayley smiled, "that's exactly what we need Klaus, an army to protect our child."
"What would this ritual involve?" Elijah asked, trying to distract himself from the sound of your laughter.
"A marriage," Jackson answered. "Between myself and Hayley,"
"A marriage?" Hayley asked, confused. "I thought this was just a ritual?"
Jackson shook his head, "in order for it to work, we need to marry,"
Hayley frowned, looking between Jackson and Elijah. She wasn't sure how she felt about the idea of marrying anyone but Elijah, but she had no choice, she would do anything for her daughter.
"It would give us the power and numbers we need," Klaus agreed. "We could protect Hope from anyone who wished her harm."
Elijah felt strangely relieved, despite knowing how selfish it was. He thought he loved Hayley, that her marrying another would bother him, but he was more bothered by the way Marcel was touching you, he realized that his feelings for Hayley weren't enough.
He still loved you, and he always would.
"I guess that's it then," Hayley sighed, glancing over at Elijah, wondering what was going through his mind.
"We can discuss it further tomorrow, but I'm sure it's something that would benefit us all," Elijah said, his voice steady.
Hayley nodded, her heart breaking at his indifference. She didn't understand, she had hoped he would argue against it, at least a little bit, but it appeared she was mistaken.
She glanced over at you, seeing the way you kept looking at Elijah. She realized that your presence had shifted something in her relationship, and she couldn't help but feel a twinge of anger towards you.
After dinner, everyone had a drink or two and mingled. Elijah and Hayley found a private corner to chat about her wedding, their conversation awkward and strained, filled with hidden meanings.
"Are you alright?" Elijah asked, noticing the pain in her eyes.
"Yeah, fine." Hayley nodded, taking a sip of her drink. "I just thought you would... I dunno... Protest the wedding more."
Elijah hesitated, "we need to do whatever we can to bring home Hope." He spoke carefully, "you know that I... care for you."
Hayley looked away, trying to hide the hurt on her face. He 'cared for' her, but it wasn't enough.
"You care for me," she repeated, her voice lacking the inflection of surprise. "But you don't love me, do you?"
She looked up at him, their eyes locking. He looked at her sadly, the regret in his eyes telling her all she needed to know.
"You'll always have a place in my heart, Hayley," he said. "It's just-"
"She's back," she finished, nodding sadly. "You've always loved her."
Elijah didn't respond, instead he simply stared at her, their eyes full of unspoken words, unshed tears and the promise of a life together that would never be.
Hayley took a breath, blinking back her tears.
"I should probably go and join the others," she said, turning to walk away. "I'll… see you around,”
Elijah released a breath, running his hand through his hair. He stood there, debating whether he should go over and talk to you.
Hayley could tell from the way you'd been looking at him that your feelings for him were the same. She was hurt, and a little drunk, and a more than a bit angry.
Her eyes narrowed as she saw Marcel whisper something in your ear, his hand resting on your shoulder. You seemed to have every man here wrapped around your finger instantly, even Elijah.
Hayley walked up to you, her eyes flashing. "It's incredible how you just return out of the blue and have every man here panting at your heels."
You raised an eyebrow, not expecting the hostility.
"I'm sorry, have I offended you in some way?" You asked, giving her a confused look.
"No, you're just a slut who can't seem to keep her hands off the men around here." Hayley snapped.
You looked at her in surprise, a small smirk tugging at the corners of your lips.
"Well, if it makes you feel any better, Marcel and I were only flirting," you replied.
Hayley glared at you, her fists clenching. You could see the rage burning in her eyes, and you were tempted to push her further, just to see how far you could take it. But before you could, Jackson was by her side, a worried look on his face.
"Come on Hayley, let's get some air," he said, pulling her away from you.
Marcel watched as they left, his arm draped around your shoulders.
"What was that about?" He asked, glancing down at you.
"Your guess is as good as mine," you shrugged, your gaze drifting over to Elijah.
He was looking at you as well, his eyes wide and searching, as if he couldn't believe you were really there.
"I'm sorry Marcel, I think I'm going to turn in early," you said, smiling apologetically. "It's been a long day."
Marcel nodded, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
"Call me sometime, if you're interested," he said with a grin, winking playfully.
"Sure, thanks." You nodded, returning his smile.
You made your way over to Klaus, thanking him for the dinner, and bidding him a goodnight. You then approached Elijah, a small smile on your face, your heart pounding.
"It's wonderful to see you, after all these years," he said, his voice a little hoarse.
"You too, Elijah." You said, giving him a genuine smile.
"I want to show you something, before you go." He said, extending his hand out to you.
You hesitated, glancing down at his hand, a part of you afraid to get your hopes up, to believe that he saw you as more than a friend. But when your eyes met his, you could see something in his gaze, and it gave you the confidence you needed to take his hand.
"Lead the way,"
Elijah gave you a small smile, leading you to his study. He walked over to his desk, searching around until he pulled out a wooden box.
He placed it on the desk, opening the lid. Inside was a pendant necklace, a gold chain with a small emerald medallion hanging from it, with your initials engraved.
You hadn't seen it in centuries, not since the night you parted, and the sight of it brought a flood of emotions crashing down.
"You kept it," you whispered, your eyes stinging with tears.
"Of course," Elijah replied, his voice quiet, a smile playing on his lips. "It was yours, it belongs with you."
Your fingers gently grazed the pendant, the cool metal a reminder of your human life. It was given to you by your mother, the only thing you had left of her. You had treasured it, and when it broke, Elijah had offered to get it fixed for you.
But when Mikael arrived and you were separated, you thought it was forever lost.
"You got it fixed," you whispered, a tear rolling down your cheek.
"Yes, it was important to you." Elijah replied, his voice soft, a smile on his face.
"After all these years, after everything, why did you keep it?" You asked, confused.
"It was all I had left of you," he replied, his voice barely audible.
You swallowed, unable to speak, your throat tight and your chest aching. You'd never imagined he'd held onto such a keepsake, a reminder of you he held onto for centuries after he believed you to be dead.
Elijah gently picked up the necklace, placing it around your neck, his hands lingering.
"I'm happy to return this to you," he whispered. "It's where it belongs."
Your hand went up to the pendant, tears streaming down your cheeks. You turned to face him and his hand cupped your cheek, wiping away the tears. You leaned into his touch, his skin warm against yours.
He stared into your eyes, his expression filled with emotion, his heart beating erratically.
"I want you to know that I..." his voice trailed off as he struggled to find the right words. "That I have never forgotten you."
"I never forgot you either," you whispered, your gaze dropping to his lips, your own parting.
He leaned in slowly, closing the gap between you. His lips were soft, gentle, as they pressed against yours, you both sighed, melting into each other. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you close.
He moved you back until you hit the desk, his lips moving down your neck, nipping and kissing, causing you to moan. Your hands grasped at his clothes, tugging him closer, desperate for him.
Elijah lifted you onto the desk, pushing his body between your legs, his hardness pressed against you. His mouth was on yours again, his hands roaming your body, exploring every inch.
"Wait, wait," you panted, breaking the kiss. "You are with Hayley,"
Elijah paused, his eyes locked with yours, his chest heaving. "Not anymore."
You stared at him, confusion and desire muddling your thoughts.
"What?" You managed, still struggling to catch your breath.
"We broke up, tonight," he explained, his voice husky, his hands caressing your thighs.
You shook your head, trying to clear your mind, but his closeness and his hands on your body were making it impossible to think. He kissed you again, his lips hungry, his tongue delving into your mouth, tasting you.
You moaned, arching into him, your hands roaming his body, pulling him closer. His hands tugged at your dress, hiking it up your thighs, moving your panties to the side.
"I want you," he muttered, his eyes dark, filled with lust.
You whispered his name as his fingers slipped inside you, his thumb rubbing your clit. His mouth was on your neck, his teeth grazing your skin, nibbling softly. You gasped, your hands grasping at his belt, trying desperately to undo it.
He pushed his pants and underwear down, his cock springing free. He positioned himself between your legs, easing into you slowly. Your eyes locked, both of you filled with an intense, desperate need for the other.
Elijah groaned, gripping the desk, his knuckles turning white, as he began thrusting into you, slow and deep. You clung to him, your nails digging into his shoulders, your moans filling the room.
His movements became faster, more frantic, his cock hitting that spot deep inside you. You felt yourself getting closer, your muscles tightening, your breathing becoming shallow.
His lips crashed against yours, his hands gripping your thighs, holding them open. The desperate way he was fucking you was a testament to the feelings he held for you, and it only fueled your desire for him.
You moaned into his mouth as you came, your orgasm hitting you hard, making your body tremble, your muscles spasming.
Elijah buried his face in your neck, sinking his fangs into you as he let go, his body shuddering. You held him, stroking his hair, feeling his body relax.
"I've always loved you," he whispered.
"I love you, too." You replied, kissing his temple.
He kissed you again, his hands cradling your face. He smiled at you, his eyes filled with warmth, and a deep love that was reserved only for you.
It felt like coming home.
♡♡ Hayley is jealous of you -> you are jealous of Hayley -> Elijah is jealous of Marcel... & Marcel is too cool to care. ♡♡ ~What kind of jealously geometry is this??? I'm a writer not a mathematician lol~

Speculating nakshatras: film observation
I theorize that Isabella Merced might have an Anuradha ascendant rather than Vishaka. Her C-rated birth time places her tropical Scorpio ascendant at 14 degrees, which corresponds to a Vishaka ♎︎ ascendant in Vedic astrology. However, in some of the roles she’s portrayed, I’ve noticed themes that align with Anuradha, which could suggest a potential Anuradha ascendant.
Isabella was cast alongside Anuradha natives Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, and Celeste O’Connor as the main characters. In the storyline, Dakota Johnson’s character is tasked with protecting the girls, as her prophetic visions show them being killed and attacked by a man who fears they will gain powers as the next Spider-Women, which would lead to his demise. Claire Nakti has mentioned Anuradha’s connection to spiders, and another example is Anuradha native Scarlett Johansson portraying Black Widow in the Marvel universe.
Most recently, Isabella portrayed Kay in Alien: Romulus (spoilers). In the film, her character, pregnant at the time, is severely injured by an alien. She injects black goo into her body, hoping it will help her injuries, but it accelerates her pregnancy, leading her to give birth to an alien hybrid. This theme resonates with Anuradha, which often female natives of this nakshatra portray characters giving birth to beings that are tied to greater evil or abominations. I’ve discussed this idea on my old Twitter account (v1rginldy), and @multidimensionalguidance elaborates on it further in their posts. *Sidenote the father of her baby in the film is portrayed by yoni consort Jyestha native Spike Fearn and her brother portrayed by Archie Renaux who has Anuradha ☉.
While I don’t think Isabella strongly resembles many Anuradha natives or exhibits many Anuradha features, I do see slight resemblances in her eyes and pout to Anuradha natives like Janina Gavankar and Chanel Iman. She also has doe eyes which is physical trait amongst the deer yoni nakshatras.
Edit*
I’ve come across pictures of Isabella where she resembles Anuradha ☉ native Britney Spears.
Someone had pointed out, and I’ve observed as well, that Isabella resembles Vanessa Hudgens, who has a Jyestha ☉ (Anuradha Yoni consort). Isabella, on the other hand, has Jyestha Mars. If Isabella has a Scorpio ascendant in Anuradha, her Jyestha Mars would be in the 1st house, influencing her appearance. Currently, her Jyestha Mars is in the 2nd house with a ♎︎ ascendant, which can also affect her facial features, as the 2nd house rules the face. Additionally, Vanessa and Isabella share Aquarius☽, with Vanessa’s being in Shatabhisha and Isabella’s in Purva Bhadrapada.
This is just a theory and personal speculation. Isabella could very well have a Vishaka ascendant, and there may be other astrological explanations for this, but these are my observations and opinions.

Here's a basic rundown of the species found within the Yggdrasil System. Unfortunately due to the rule of the Aesir under the Allmother, much of the information has been destroyed, censored, or erased, making researching these species particularly difficult. However, I have managed to collect a general consensus on what each of the species look like.
Helheim is impossible to know, any first inhabitants of the planet are long dead or in hiding. No one on Helheim are born there, and few leave alive.

the final veil is still a work in progress and may take a while for more lore to be released as the story is still being smoothed out along with characters individual backstories and character arcs.
i am one person, and while i doubt anyone will be invested or care about this au, for whoever may be, please be patient.
also, i will say, the lore of the final veil isn't really based off much, just an idea i had that may nit be possible in actual magnus archives lore. it's kind of hard to tell, i don't know what's happening half the time.
if i get anything wrong, please tell me, i'll see what i can do, but if something integral to the story is impossible in the magnus archives lore that is okay as it's an au. i don't particularly care what is and isn't possible i'm having fun okay.
this section of the post will update as lore continues to be added, with links to core posts being added in THE LORE section to make it easier for quickly accessing posts.
also much of this au will ignore the magnus protocol, simply because i haven't listened to it yet. i will, trust me. i just haven't gotten around to it.
may the entities spare you, for they are not quite dead, and they live on in their strongest.
their remnants, their holders, may be unpredictable, and they are in most every way just like regular people.
however some may be violent, and left unchecked and unaccounted for, may cause significant problems.
this is asterope signing off.

What’s your opinion on ElijahxCeleste? I kinda thought there was something twisted and intriguing about Celeste and Elijah and I always wished we got to see more of them.
Celeste and Elijah are my third favorite Elijah ship. They honestly would have been higher than Gia/Elijah if they had gotten the same Aurora/Klaus treatment. I talk about that more here.
I wish we could have seen more of them when they were human. How they met, how they got together, etc. We don't even know how long they were together. I have a lot of headcanons for them that make me love them more, but a lot of people don't bother giving them any because the show didn't care to develop them at all. Once again, because if they had, it would be harder to brush aside Klaus having her murdered.
Elijah tells Hayley he was only in love twice before, one of them being Celeste. That shows just how important she was to him. He didn't allow himself to love, but he loved her so much that he was distracted from his family. This is something we only see with a few women throughout the show. For someone who is a thousand years old, this is not often.
Another reason the show didn't want to explore them they way they did every other main character's past ships was because they would have been a powerhouse couple. Celeste was an Elder of the New Orleans witches, so powerful the witches wanted to consecrate her to harness that power. Elijah is one of the strongest vampires to exist (especially before Klaus unlocked his hybrid gene). If Klaus had been smart, he would have left it well enough alone, same with Rebekah and the human. They would have had almost all the factions playing nice. Elijah isn't one to want power so he wouldn't have used his relationship with Celeste to overthrow him. We also don't see Celeste having any inclination to do this until Klaus has her murdered. By killing her, Klaus made a powerful enemy.
This is where I wish the writers were more courageous. It would have been so good to see Celeste and Elijah team up against Klaus. Let's be honest, he wouldn't stand a chance. They could have done it in the 1800s right after she was killed. Elijah was mad enough I think he would have sided with Celeste. But, to me, Celeste likely didn't see Elijah move against Klaus on his own and thought Elijah wouldn't side with her. I like to think he was just numb at this point. It's also the same time Klaus pushed Elijah out of Marcel's life and Rebekah was helping Klaus raise Marcel. Elijah would have been completely isolated after Celeste's death, he was in no state of mind to plan to overthrow Klaus. Which would have been great timing for Celeste to show up and turn Elijah even further against Klaus.
But another great opportunity would have been when Elijah showed up back in New Orleans in Season 1. Elijah was still angry at Klaus, especially as Klaus did everything to push Elijah further away. Between his anger at Klaus, his fear of what Klaus planned to do to Hayley/Hope, and seeing his love come back to life, he was in the perfect place to turn on Klaus. It would have been so good. Rebekah and Marcel likely would have sided with them as well. But again, the show couldn't do that since they could actually take Klaus down.
Elijah and Celeste were the OG Klaurora but had the power to actually take over. They didn't start twisted but because of Klaus it became a dark and toxic relationship. I hated how rushed it was. Even after Elijah is essentially forced to kill her and lose her once again, we quickly move onto Klaus and Rebekah attempting to murder each other. We never get a chance to truly just feel the impact of their relationship.
Thanks for the ask! I love talking about Elijah ships and just Celeste in general!

Danganronpa Characters as Dungeon Meshi races Pt 2
Link to the previous post below
Byakuya - Elf. Originally Togami’s were were a family of low-mana elves but they were able to do well as merchants, to the point where they “won a seat at the table of the most powerful elves”. Mana varies as while they can marry into magical families their no.1 priority is economics. They have the children competing like in canon but at a much smaller scale. Byakuya does not have much mana but was able to become heir (though maybe it hasn’t happens yet to get an excuse for him to be adventuring.
Gundham Tanaka - half-elf mage who acts the same even though mages are normal here. Claims to be Half demon and half angel in canon as well, half demon being a metaphor for his abusive father. Maybe the father was human and overtime grew resentful over his young-looking wife and the child taking forever to grow up. He took his resentment out on them, the mother fled with Gundham, but unfortunately he already began to see his existence as a curse. Despite being an elf, he uses gnome style magic as it became apparent he was very suited for it. His hamster are 4 spirits who around him looking hamster shaped.
Sonia - Elf and “princess” to an elf community. Probably better described as an heir to a duchy. She is possibly related to the obsidian skin royalty but not close enough to have it herself. She has a secret interest in the ancient arts and with demons. It’s purely scholarly, however. Any magic she has learned is only helping her people and their land.
Celeste - Either a human pretending to be an elf or an elf pretending to be a half-elf. All for her wish to be special. Was able to gain quite a bit of wealth from gambling, but is constantly travelling with mercenary guards because there are lot of people who don’t take kindly to suspicious foreign taking all their money.
Imposter - An artificial beastman. They were forcefully created like Izutsumi but can transform like that elf guy in the canaries. I’d say Imposter has a base form that looks like a tall man, and at least two animal forms, a boar-like one that blend them in with orcs, and a wolf-like body that can blend with kobolds. Imposter uses these forms to go through different communities avoiding attention from anyone that can hurt them.
I’d like to hear other people’s ideas since there are a lot of characters I’m not sure about.

Arkhelios Adventures
"Your Majesty, it's so great to see you again. Come, sit down. I've arranged for tea to be served if you'd like."
King Liam of Crystal Cove was a timid creature. His parents had been murdered when he was a child, and he had been raised under the thumb of King Ben Siew to be a compliant puppet to Twikkii Island's needs. Ben had married him to his granddaughter, Celeste, who had run the country for Liam until she and Charlotte Maricourt attempted to kill the Grim Reaper with the full force of the Strangetown coven. Since Celeste's death, Liam was trying his best to rule effectively and was utterly failing. His daughter, Theodosia, had been raised by her mother to force her father to abdicate the throne upon her mother's death, but Liam had refused to budge. The throne had been his mother's final gift to him and he wouldn't release it until it was his time to join her in death. It would be him who faced off against Claudia, even if Theodosia insisted on helping him.
Claudia was more than fine with the arrangement. All she needed was her heir by her side, and her number one secret weapon, Theo.
"How kind of you," Claudia replied dismissively. "It's a bit too hot for tea, don't you think? This meeting shouldn't take very long anyway."
"We'll see," Liam answered, attempting to sound authoritative and failing. "We do have so much to talk about."
Claudia only smiled in response. With a practiced nod, she gestured towards Theo. Victoriana walked to her mother's side (though two paces behind her at all times as appropriate for an heir). Theo nodded stiffly and marched carefully towards the front of the palace. He'd been doing lots of training with the queen lately since school was out for the summer and was loving every moment of it. He got to sleep in a castle, in a luxury bedroom all to himself. He'd been allowed to visit his parents twice now, but could only call or text Adam. Adam's parents had decided to keep Adam close to them for the summer and had forbid him to be alone with the demon hybrid until school resumed. Even if Theo's powers had been healed with divine intervention, neither Edana or Ewan wanted to risk another possible injury to their son.
"So, let's just get this out of the way," Theodosia began. "The Harvest Moon Ball will not be held this year. Our sovereign ruler has given his final decision on the matter, and you won't change it."
The crown princess glared at Claudia, but Claudia didn't seem to notice. Theodosia's wife, Charlotte, had gladly abdicated the Pleasantview throne to Claudia years ago, but Theodosia still had mixed feelings on the matter. True, Claudia had a better claim to the throne, and Charlotte was almost universally hated there, but the daughter of the Red Queen had to have some sway there.
But Theodosia was failing her mother's guidance. She had been too blunt, too quick to offer her opinion. Claudia had seen her true emotions on the matter, but Theodosia had seen nothing of Claudia's.
"Of course," Claudia responded, looking appalled at the insinuation of her having come to question the king's decrees. "Pleasantview has allowed your country to govern itself for what, seventy years now? My grandfather saw the potential in a second empire during his rule, but I made a very sincere vow to your nation upon taking the throne. Under my rule, you're free to make any decisions you'd like about your country. I do hope that Victoriana extends you that same courtesy when she takes the throne someday."
"You don't have a drop of Alioto blood in your veins," Theodosia said sharply. "My grandmother is your aunt on the Goss side only. You can claim relation to any other kingdom but this one. Your claim would have to go back all the way to the first emperor, who lived centuries ago. You don't know the first thing about Crystal Cove. We aren't so helpless these days."
"Ladies, please. Let's not let the heat get the better of us," Liam pleaded, looking sternly at his daughter. "Queen Claudia has sworn to keep the peace, and so have I. There's no need for arguments."
"It would help me learn about your country and traditions if Princess Isadora transferred to Princess Zarah Academy," Victoriana chimed in. "Queen Maura’s children and King Charley's grandchildren attend Pleasantview academies, and they love it there. It would no doubt be beneficial if your future queen studied alongside her royal peers. It would be unfair for the other future monarchs to have strong friendships with each other and poor relations with Crystal Cove."
"I'll consider it," Theodosia replied, in a tone that clearly conveyed the message that she would never consider the option. "So, if you're not here to complain about the ball being cancelled, I'm curious about the reason for your visit. We love hosting foreign royalty, but I wouldn't want you to waste your valuable time on something that could have been sent by message. I'm sure there's much to occupy your time in such a large nation."
"That's a good point though. Isadora is rather isolated from her peers. My own mother was born in Pleasantview, and we have a long history of friendship between our nations."
Theodosia cleared her throat, cutting off her father.
"Dad, Isadora loves her school. It's important to maintain our traditions and not be swept up by the culture of larger nations. Especially nations that have a history of making us their colony."
"I'm glad that she's happy with her education," Claudia replied calmly. "Crystal Cove has fine educational facilities. We have a few witches in Pleasantview who like to sign up for the occasional course here to experience your culture. The last one I approved to take a class abroad made me a little crystal tree in thanks. I proudly display it in my formal entryway."
Liam looked like he was about to say something in response, but Claudia cut him off.
"I'm sad to hear about the cancellation of the Harvest Moon Ball, but I can understand your concern for safety. I've come today to share some news I've received about another concerning threat."
"Another assassination attempt?" Liam asked, gasping audibly. "Another attack on Twikkii Island?"
Claudia shook her head solemnly.
"I'm afraid it's not that simple. This is a global threat, I'm afraid. It's likely related to the attack that nearly claimed Queen Maura’s life, but it's been only spread by whispers so far. The dead are returning to our realm to warn us of what may come."
"The dead are returning? Is this-could it be...."
Theodosia trailed off, looking uncharacteristically unnerved by the Pleasantview queen's words. When she had gathered her thoughts, she cleared her throat and spoke with purpose.
"Does this concern our shared brother? Has he been...experimenting with the teachings of his mothers?"
For once, Claudia was caught off guard by a question and she didn't enjoy the feeling. She had prepared to talk about the names of dead reapers being mentioned to the living, but not about Travis.
Why would she bring up the shy, sensitive warlock who loved reading more than making a friend? To Claudia, Travis was a sweet, talented young man, who just happened to be her brother. Theodosia clearly didn't feel the same way.
Travis was Theodosia's biological brother by their mother, Queen Celeste, and a powerful threat. Celeste had been a dark, ruthlessly trained witch, and Theodosia was still learning about new terrible things her mother had done. His other mother, Charlotte Maricourt, had been an ancient witch raised in the Old Ways of Strangetown. Entire books could be written about her dark legacy. Travis was made by these two master magic users to sacrifice in their insane scheme to murder the Grim Reaper. Theodosia had seen the rituals for herself the day her mother died and remained terrified of Travis' potential, despite him having grown up into a shy, respectful teen.
Travis was Claudia's biological cousin, and Claudia was no stranger to the darkness that ran in their shared genes. Pleasantview lived at least a little bit in fear of their queen because she descended from tyrants and murderers, and that was something Claudia had been trained to promote. She knew the grey areas of her life and how to reign in the darkness without ignoring it fully. Celeste had been a terrible person, but Claudia's grandfather had instilled fear in the hearts of nations around the world. Crystal Cove had fallen to him in an afternoon and the things he'd done were too terrible to repeat. Hell, Theodosia was related to him as well on her father's side, but she wasn't his direct heir, so she got to be presented as innocent and kind. Claudia knew how Theodosia felt in secret, being a descendant of deranged monsters, but Theodosia wasn't using this insight to help others. Instead, she was placing her own fears and resentment on an innocent child and expecting praise for it. The Goldmans believed in the good of humanity and in redemption. Claudia's father adopted the unwanted son of the sister who had murdered him as an infant and had never once questioned Travis' heart. Theodosia had been telling the truth when she pointed out that Claudia had no Alioto blood in her veins. Maybe if she did, she'd be an asshole to innocent children too.
"No, it doesn't concern Travis," Claudia spat, trying to reign in her anger and failing. She paused to collect herself before continuing. She had business to conduct, and punching a foreign crown princess wasn't going to help anyone. "Ghosts have been seen for the first time in centuries. Have you received intelligence on this?"
"No," Liam answered, looking at his daughter, who shook her head. "I haven't seen any ghosts personally or had reports of them. Honesty, I've always thought that ghosts weren't even real since people like your parents apparently guard the dead so well."
"They usually do. Unfortunately, things happen out of their control sometimes. I believe the ghosts are trying to tell us something important. It's my intention to learn what they want, and my parents have suggested that I might have more success learning that information with a party. Spirits love gatherings of mortals for any reason, but especially when that gathering involves food and dancing. Blood magic is apparently stronger during celebrations involving food and thanksgiving, so their theory is that ghost might feel the same."
"Is that so?" Liam asked, leaning back in his chair. Beside him, Theodosia glowered.
"Now that you've cancelled the Harvest Moon Ball, I have to adjust my plans," Claudia continued. "You see, Lukas also fears what ghosts could mean for our world and has begged me to continue my investigation."
Her words had the desired effect. Liam froze in place, terrified of the mere mention of the being who had taken his throne when they were a teenager. Some nights, he still woke up in a cold sweat at the thought of the deity returning. Claudia had him just where she wanted him.
"So, you see, since the Harvest Moon Ball will not be held this year, I plan to hold my own ball to continue my investigation. Because your ball was cancelled, I thought it was only fair that I hold mine in Crystal Cove so that your subjects don't have to travel to Pleasantview to attend it."
"You don't have the right to just announce events in another country," Theodosia seethed. Her father had suddenly gone quiet. "You can't just rent out the ballroom. That's owned by the royal family and I don't grant you permission to use it."
Claudia smiled, her face perfectly calm.
"I wouldn't dare assume to use your property in Crystal Cove. That would be incredibly rude of me. No, I was planning on holding the ball in the piece of Crystal Cove that I own. The ball will be held in the Honora St. Julien Tower, which is the legal property of Pleasantview, so you don't need to worry about helping in any way. You're rightfully concerned about safety, but I can guarantee that my security team, several units of my military, and the brightest stars of my coven will be on hand to protect anyone who attends. Your whole family is invited, of course,"
Theodosia's face was turning from red to purple at this news, while Liam stared at the table, trying to form an objection to this plan.
"Your military in our streets? Your coven out hexing and cursing our magic users while people dance in the background? You don't have the right!"
"Well, actually, my mom legally owns the Honora St. Julien Tower. It's, therefore, a part of Pleasantview, and she can do what she likes in Pleasantview," Victoriana added quickly. This wasn't entirely the plan she had discussed with her mother before arriving here, but it was close. The queen had intended on elaborating on what she knew of the threat concerning old, dead reapers, but Victoriana could practically see steam coming out of her mother's ears. Clearly, the idea of sharing information had been abandoned. Victoriana was okay with that. She hadn't been briefed in full by her mother, but even she had not appreciated the princess' lack of respect for her Uncle Travis.
"You can't be serious."
"Oh, hey! Her Majesty thought you'd be here. I'm supposed to delay you while they talk a bit. Then you can barge in all you like."
Theo smiled at the new guests. Claudia had assumed that just because Lukas had asked for her help, they would have also reached out to a second person just in case. Usually, that meant the genetic line of champions they maintained to serve their wishes.
And here they were, standing before Theo. Varia, Vrai, and Leo all waved at the teen. It was just like Claudia had predicted.
"They're making you deal with this too?"
Vrai was old and tired and sick of politics. If his son hadn't nearly literally pushed him out the door, Vrai would be happy at home, ignoring Lukas' call.
"Dad, you were the crown prince of Strangetown when you were young. Politics is what you're good at, and it's not an inconvenience to spend time with me and your granddaughter on a nice day. You're still a prince, actively supported by Uncle Charley. Stop whining like a child and act your rank. We want the king to take us seriously."
Leo stared at the sky, wishing for a hole to swallow up his father and remove him from his sight. Vrai had never been a good father, and despite it being his destiny to serve, he was also a pretty lousy employee for Lukas. He sometimes behaved well when hanging out with his brothers, but overall, Leo found tolerating his father impossible. He would certainly never treat his own kids like that. It was getting to the point that if Vrai showed up properly dressed and with his mouth shut, Leo could usually get some work done. He'd been hoping that his father might pick up the conversation at the royal table and take an interest. He could make their job easier, though Leo knew he wouldn't.
"Theo! It's great to see you again! When did they let you out of school?" Varia ran to Theo excitedly, crushing him with a hug. "I haven't seen Adam in forever either. You must have so much to talk about. Was it a nice school? Did you have any favourite teachers?"
Theo laughed.
"It was the worst. Oh my god. They took my phone and I couldn't see Adam at all. I met Lukas there, though. Did they mention me at all?"
"Hmmm. I don't think so, but I don't always see them. You'd have to ask my dad. He doesn't always let me come on work trips, so I miss out on all the gossip. I have to spend more time in school before he'll let Lukas ask anything of me."
"My dad's ex-girlfriend hired me as a summer intern without asking me," Theo commiserated. "It's really cool, and I get my own room in a castle, but sometimes I wish I was back at school with Adam. Your dad probably has a point about not committing to serving a deity before you've learned how to handle them, though. Following the queen around is sometimes pretty boring."
"Your Majesty King Liam. Your Majesty Queen Claudia. Your Highness Princess Theodosia. Your Highness Princess Victoriana. I've come to talk with you all on a matter of some urgency." Leo stood politely beside the table of frustrated monarchs, waiting for an invitation to join them. The Crystal Cove royals looked furious, while the Pleasantview royals seemed to be enjoying themselves.
So nothing new then. This was how Leo had always seen the royal families act with each other. He had been born and raised in Crystal Cove, but he'd never felt respect for a monarch until he'd spent time with his Uncle Charley. Strangetown may be strange, but at least it had a functioning government.
"Of course you may join us," Claudia declared, once again acting on behalf of the king without permission. "If you have something important to discuss, then we are all glad to hear it. Victoriana, go sit with Isadora at another table and continue to think on our conversation while we speak with Leonid."
"Thank you, Your Majesty," Leo said, pulling Victoriana's abandoned chair over to sit at the table.
"Is this news from Lukas?" Liam asked wearily. "If it is, then Her Majesty has already informed us of Lukas' displeasure with our choice about the ball. We were just discussing that matter when you arrived."
"No, not directly from Lukas," Leo lied. "From my uncle, the king."
The king and his daughter shared a worried look at these words.
"King Charley sent you here? For what purpose?"
"About the cancellation of the Harvest Moon Ball," Leo repeated, eliciting a deep groan from the Crystal Cove royals.
"Not you too," Liam exclaimed. "It's just a ball! We have several of them each year when it's safe to gather. Doesn't anyone else have a self-preservation instinct? The Queen of Twikkii Island nearly died, and that was just a barbecue!"
"That's why my uncle has sent me to speak with you," Leo replied. "He's been tracking the threat of this spiritual unrest, and he wants to hold an event in place of the Harvest Moon Ball. The barrier between life and death is thinnest at the time of the ball, and the spirits will be displaced if their usual schedule is interrupted. If you are unwilling to play your part in the maintenance of the world, then His Majesty will do so for you."
"It's just a ball! Besides, Queen Claudia has already threatened to have her military in my streets to hold her own ball in place of the Harvest Moon Ball. Are you both going to fight over the same day?"
Claudia smiled at Leo, and he grinned back.
"Not at all," Claudia said confidently. "There's a window of time where the barriers thin. We could easily pick separate days. In fact, if we stretched the events over a weekend, the spirits might be even happier."
"My uncle is very spiritual," Leo continued. "He would gladly hold a spiritual gathering to uphold the Old Ways during the day, with every intention of joining Her Majesty's ball at night."
"I would gladly attend such a spiritual gathering," Claudia added. "My parents and their coworkers might also want to attend. My mother is a descendant of Holy Queen Jasone, after all. I extend the use of my property within the boundaries of Crystal Cove to your uncle to hold this joint event. With my military and coven, and your uncle's military and coven, plus at least my parents' reaper team and possibly more, I think this event will be well protected. People will flock to this event due to the disappointment of the Harvest Moon Ball's cancellation, and we can assure them that we will protect them where their own king could not."
A silence fell over the table as Liam considered his options. This had to be at least partly Lukas' fault. Their employees wouldn't be here unless the deity had forced them to be here. Leo would still be advocating for his uncle, sure, but Varia and Vrai? Liam could hear Vrai complaining from where he sat. Claudia had admitted to speaking with Lukas when she revealed their anger at the ball's cancellation, but she was grinning too much at the thought of holding an event in his country. Lukas might have inspired some of this, but Claudia and Charley were exploiting this weak spot of Liam's. Every second he refused to hold the ball, the greater the chance that the other monarchs got even more ideas to make him look weaker.
"Sorry about my grandfather. Mom says that he's seen a lot of bad things, which makes him paranoid and that we should go easy on him. I agree with your mom. Cancelling the ball is stupid."
Isadora smiled at Victoriana. The gesture seemed earnest, which Victoriana thought was strange. No one in line to a throne ever relaxed in front of the other royals. The teens' mothers certainly never let down their guard around guests. Hell, sometimes Victoriana saw her mother wear her "I'm the queen and you will all obey" face for days. Princess Theodosia seemed to be equally distant, something her daughter didn't seem to share. Isadora was sheltered by her paranoid parents and was deliberately kept out of the school in Pleasantview where she could make political friends. To Victoriana, the princess' life was depressing. Claudia gave her plenty of choices to make on her own, even if the queen frequently interrupted her daughter's life when it was necessary. Even though Theo had been hired for the summer without knowing it, Claudia still allowed him every luxury owed to him as a guest of the queen. Theodosia looked like she ruled her daughter's life without restraint.
"I'm sure he has his reasons," Victoriana said charitably. She smiled back at the princess. Isadora had a beautiful smile.
"Hey guys! I mean, greetings Your Highnesses." Varia charged across the lawn and unceremoniously greeted the other teens. Her dad's work didn't often involve kids her own age, and she'd much rather hang out with princesses than listen to her miserable grandfather. "What's going on?"
Victoriana grinned at the sight of Varia. Varia and her father were frequent guests at the Pleasantview castle. They didn't see each other often outside of their shared science class, but Victoriana liked to think she and Varia were friends.
"We're talking about the Harvest Moon Ball and how much of a baby Isadora's grandfather is," Victoriana explained, causing Isadora's face to flush with embarrassment. "Everyone wants this ball to happen, even Strangetown. I think my mom's about to invade Crystal Cove just so it happens."
"He's just being sensible," Isadora protested. "My aunt died in the attack that killed Queen Cherry. He's never really recovered from that loss. It's okay to be safe sometimes."
Victoriana rolled her eyes.
"Sometimes, but not all the time. The man is afraid of his own shadow. My mom always says that a monarch has to take risks and go on the offensive or they risk everything they have. A lot of powerful people would be angry if she didn't rule the way she does. I plan on following her path one day when I'm queen."
"That's easy for you to say. Your mom has all the resources she needs to act like she does. The queen of Pleasantview gets everything she wants," Isadora complained. "Everyone is too afraid of her to go against her."
"Fine! I will hold the Harvest Moon Ball as scheduled as long as both of your kingdoms leave your militaries at home, and Strangetown's spiritual gathering is contained to the tower."
The teens could hear the king's frustrated declaration from across the yard. Isadora continued to flush with embarrassment, while Varia couldn't keep a snort of laughter from escaping.
Victoriana grinned proudly.
"Like I said, the queen of Pleasantview gets what she wants. One day, that's going to be me."

Choke yourself to sleep - Dottore x oc
This is a repost of something I wrote in the early summer (I deleted the original almost right after posting), but want it back due to actually loving it. Part of a dear mutuals collab and part of this series Tags: fem oc, cat hybrid like lynette oc, hurt/comfort, the comfort is light lmao, not happy ending, implied earlier suggestive actions, bedroom eyes Note: There's a reason Dottore is described as smelly and the person who guesses it wins a gold star and idk maybe I'll write you a short thing. I believe in normally good hygiene Dottore. It's 2am, feed this to ai or similar and get Naegleria fowleri Minors, ageless, blank blogs DNI
He'd been completely still for hours, but Celeste's keen ears had yet to discern any significant change in his regular breathing pattern. He was evidently still awake, despite the sound of pen scratching against parchment having long since ceased. Whether his gaze was upon her back or not had been difficult to tell as of late, a sense of unease permeating the air and fraying everyone's nerves.
Dottore had been downright horrid to work with for several weeks now, getting progressively more short-tempered, tunnel-visioned, and lashing out at everyone unfortunate enough to be caught in his path. All in all, the experience was akin to working with a furious bull, and whispers suggested he hadn't left the rooms in a fortnight, leaving no respite for the rest of them. Mere memories of being reprimanded for things well out of her control stood sharper than the icicles he'd conjured and subsequently hurled at an unlucky segment yesterday.
She didn't control when their suppliers experienced difficulties procuring the requested materials, how was yelling at her any semblance of reasonable? And she for sure didn't control the rate at which her mice reproduced.
It made Celeste's fur stand on end, thoughts of how he'd normally laugh at such a display only serving to feed the growing embers of displeasure.
Any fanciful ideas of the issue resolving itself had long since been abandoned, meaning someone would have to break this horrendous stalemate, and there was a lingering sentiment that this couldn't be entrusted to Dottore. From how frantically he'd been writing page upon page of notes for something, refusing to divulge any content or make any comment, it was clear his mind was whirring. And if he'd judged whatever it was to be more important than the volatile air inside the facility, this had all the makings of a new status quo.
Neither of them had the luxury of tardiness as the tests for torching leylines would soon be commencing, the Knave having reluctantly agreed to return to Snezhnaya for extraction of more flames. Constantly feeling like she was barefoot on glass wasn't conducive to progress, a concept Dottore should be intimately familiar with from what she'd gathered of his days as a student.
What his recent outbursts lacked in predictability the vile stench wafting from him had aplenty, a cloud of death lingering around him, making her nose crinkle with disgust every time she came within ten feet of him. With a disdainful look Celeste dared to approach the desk he was slumped over, suppressing the urge to hold her breath. It was far from the usual notes of spices and smoke that seemed to cling to his skin and everything he touched.
"Archons above, this is getting ridiculous," she kept her voice a mere whisper, barely conveying any of the collected frustration with an exasperated gesture, "turn this man around and I'll become a devout believer again"
"Would you care to repeat yourself, mademoiselle? I didn't quite catch it," even his voice seemed more rugged, displeasure dripping from his words.
Although still masked, Celeste had no doubt his gaze was fixed upon her visage, causing her to take a step backwards, fighting the twitch in her ears as they begged to flatten. He shouldn't get the satisfaction of knowing how unsettled she was.
"Wasn't important."
"Wasn't important," he shifted his position, chin coming to rest atop his folded hands, "I remain unconvinced that something 'unimportant' would have you of all people using that kind of rhetoric around me."
"It's none of your business, Doctor. I was frustrated, that's all."
Dottore's body visibly tensed up at her words, adjusting his gloves in what was undoubtedly an attempt at distraction. From how little time had seemingly been dedicated to looking over her bi-monthly progress reports, it was no wonder if he hadn't the slightest idea what could be bothering her. There had been plenty of subtle and less so hints at the issue.
Perhaps letting him squirm a little more before she elaborated wouldn't be the worst scenario. After all, it was rare to have him pinned like a bug; and it was clear from how he'd yet to make a comment about her swishing tail that he was hardly present. A flicker towards the earring confirmed what she knew, the soft shimmer that accompanied it when he was engaged in communicating to the rest was nowhere to be found. Well and truly, the only distraction present was the mind that inhabited his body.
"You know I prefer it when we can speak plainly with each other Celeste, now is no exception."
She tugged at the hem of her vest, his voice had almost sounded accusatory, a far cry from the reassurance those words normally provided. And was it even true at this very moment, she certainly found doubt lurking in the corners.
As so many times before, she found her fingertips tracing over the brooch he'd gifted her after six months of service. A raven cradling the sun, it's eye red as blood. It had been fashioned with the intent of accompanying the Fatui insignia everyone carried, clearly designating her as close to The Second. She'd had an easier time moving around the facilities without questions after receiving it, and it was clear from how often she unconsciously toyed with it that it'd been a success in more than practicality alone.
"I'm not sure if I prefer that right now," the words wrung their way from her heart, anxiety at setting him off cloying her blood as she briefly considered fleeing the scene, "what I mean to say is-"
"If this is about anything but your current projects, Celeste, I'd rather not hear it."
He looked akin to a marionette, one string being cut with the removal of his mask, dangling precariously one wrong movement away from toppling over. The dark circles under his garnet eyes were almost enough to pacify the annoyance at having been cut off.
"It's related enough. It at least spills into everything," her voice cut through the silence, breaths coming a little faster as adrenaline spread, she hadn't missed the way his lips had parted with an unspoken protest "you've been more than difficult to work alongside for a while now, and it's impacting everyone. No one dares ask or try out anything for fear of repercussions. And you- you almost destroyed Rho yesterday,"
"Rho shouldn't be in this section and he knows it, a reprimand was warranted and I sent a clear message."
"So suddenly making a harmless mistake is all it takes to be neutralized here? Humans make mistakes and-"
"And we should be better than that," although no more than a tired mumble accompanied by a pinch to the bridge of his nose, those words filled the space with an oppressive air.
"What? That's ridiculous. And further proves my theory that something is wrong," her voice had a newfound resolve, legs moving on their own accord to close the distance between them.
This close, there was no ignoring how rugged his appearance had become, still paling in comparison to the smell. How had he even managed to get that much grime onto his clothes, it wasn't like he did any of the messy tasks? Archons, how she yearned for his scent. Green eyes locked onto his, noting with disdain that even they seemed to have lost color. There came a time where everything must fade, of that there was no doubt, but to lie down and let himself deteriorate when the goal was so close?
"I want to help, Dottore. At least tell me what's happening so we have a chance of solving it, this is nothing short of fumbling around in the dark," her voice softened, hands coming up to rub at her ears.
Betrayed by his own flesh, Dottore's reply never had time to form before he slumped forward, eyes shutting as a strained breath left his lips.
"It's nothing for you to concern yourself with, and as for any inquiries, ask one of the segments if you find me so intolerable."
With all the indignation of a scorned child, Celeste spun around and marched towards the exit, tail swishing back and forth in agitation, barely refraining from knocking something over in pure spite.
"Fine, maybe I will."
It took two agonizing days to convince a few of the segments to divulge pieces of what was going on, uncharacteristic in light of how productivity had tanked across most projects. Even the younger ones refused to give any details except "Prime's mind is preoccupied" and "He hasn't been sleeping well", neither particularly helpful in terms of locating the root of the issue. Sleep deprivation would be the logical place to start, if he was running on fumes it made sense that everything else would be crumbling.
She'd been to his chambers before, had questioned the choice of dark wooden furniture and the sheer amount of decorations, jokingly stating that it added to the crow imagery he had going on. A flush bloomed across her cheeks, clapping them in an attempt to focus, there was no need to remember how she'd paid for that slip of the tongue. Unable to walk straight for a day and having to see her colleagues questioning glances at the explanation of a twisted ankle. Having proper environment was crucial to foster satisfactory rest, even if he always claimed his body was long past the need for such comforts. It'd been stuffy, airing out and changing sheets was a must, would he enjoy having multiple blankets? She should still have the key somewhere.
Getting everything into place took a few days of doing nothing but planning and gathering resources, having done what she could to carefully plan a solution to every little thing that might be wrong, all of it carefully peer-reviewed by the rest of his surprisingly eager segments. Without doubt, the most grueling part had been the favors now owed to The Regrator, naturally he'd jumped at the opportunity, promising he'd never charge unfairly when it was for the benefit of his partner. It would all be worth it in the end, that's what she told herself as her gaze lingered on the zaytun peaches and henna berries arranged on the wooden tray, a few pieces neatly cut for his convenience. A glass bottle of lemonade stood beside it, recommended by the youngest segment along with a few pieces of sunsettia toffee.
The sun had already set when she effectuated her plan, filling her lungs with air and courage before opening the doors to the laboratory, an eerie silence immediately catching her attention.
"Doctor? I've got a proposition for you," Celeste tried to remain cheerful, knowing it was unwise to allow him picking up any sense of uncertainty, "I've prepared some things, if you'd follow me."
Dottore was leaning over a workbench, not a shred of acknowledgement from him unless counting the tension in his shoulders as they rose. How bothersome.
"Doctor, I said-"
"I heard you the first time, quiet down, I'm trying to solve this," his voice grated against her ears, two barely mismatched gears grinding against each other.
There was no point in denying him if he had finally pulled himself out of the slump enough to work, still it was always best not to hope for too much. 'If you always expect to be disappointed, you'll either be right or pleasantly surprised.' With curious steps and the urge to cover her mouth and nose, Celeste ventured closer, peeking at the table with bathed breath. All hope seemed to crash to the ground, nailed by the pitiful excuse of an attempt at removing the liver from one of her mice. Dottore's hands were shaking, enough that even the initial cut along the abdomen of the mouse looked sloppy, and why the hell would he be using a scalpel of all things?
"I-… Why are you working on my project, Doctor?" She tried to keep her voice even, resisting the urge to sneer at how he'd ruined an animal, hopefully there would still be enough to run the tests properly.
"Because you have hardly been present for a week. Do you think it acceptable to disappear like that, we need the results of-" he gestured at the tiny corpse, waving the scalpel frantically in the air, "whatever it was you're doing with the capture of elemental particles…"
She grit her teeth, pretending her canines were sinking into him instead. Indisputable proof that he had no idea what was even going on in his own damn laboratory. Lashing out would be stupid, she had to control her breathing, there was no taking him down if it became heated enough to transcend verbal discourse.
"That's uhm.. Nice of you, however, you're no wet lab scientist-"
"Neither are you," his words came out too overbearing for her to ignore, taking the bait with a huff.
"I at least have experience."
"You were working at a technical institute if I remember correctly?"
"Oh so we're fucking flies now?"
Fighting down the urge to lash out when he chuckled dryly at the mistranslated metaphor felt more strenuous than she imagined actually knocking him out would be. A deep breath, a deep breath and getting back on track. At least he seemed willing to engage in conversation, even if he had yet to face her.
"I'd prefer doing this myself when time allows for it. Which it will soon, just after I've shown you what I have been spending this week on."
Movements stiff enough that creaking wouldn't have been a surprise, Dottore turned to face her, his expression having only suffered from the passage of time however brief the days had been. It seemed like a miracle that his shoulders didn't crumble when his hands clasped behind his back, it was no doubt a grueling task to remain dignified in his state. Beyond human or not, the segments had confirmed he did require nutrition and rest, even if he was adept at shoving those basal requirements down.
"If I cannot be free, then get on with it."
At the mere opportunity, Celeste found herself perking up, hands
"I noticed you've been," she gestured towards him, green eyes running across his visage, "not quite yourself lately. And, I was told you've been sleeping poorly, so I figured some relaxation might be in order."
"Is this supposed to be an attempt at humor, Celeste?"
"I've cleaned your chambers, well enough to make it more comfortable at least. You can go draw yourself a bath and I'll fetch you a meal, and then you can retire for the night."
Divine punishment would've been a kinder fate, when that hammer fell it did so swiftly; there was no pinching the bridge of its nose, nor any deep groans.
"So you've been wasting time, splendid. I have no need for any of those pleasantries, and there is certainly no time, so if that was all, I would prefer solitude for now."
"Wasting time? I've worked hard to prepare this, and you've told me countless times that my health takes precedence over my work, so why are the rules different for you?"
Celeste had stepped closer, uncaring that her voice had raised in both pitch and volume, no longer concerned with hiding her disdain as her ears pressed flat against her hair. At least that drowned out any possibilities of distinguishing his arrhythmia, a treacherous thing that could hold one too many distinct meanings. How he refused to meet her eye, gaze fixed somewhere around her chest, didn't help either.
His hands were shaking, fists clenched at his sides with such vigor the skin might rupture as it had done countless times before. There would always be blood on his hands, but why was he so adamant that some of it must be his own?
"Because I am different from you, it is quite simple. My body far exceeds the capacity of an unmodified human, a fact you should already be intimately familiar with," there was a hint of triumph in his voice, echoed in how his back seemed to straighten.
"Don't," Celeste bit down on her tongue, unable to face the memories of the singular intimate night they'd shared, unwilling to live through the following weeks of yearning for a repeat, "you don't get to change the subject like that and dismiss me. Not when I've been working so hard to do something nice for you."
"Something I didn't ask for," his words were clipped, fingers thrumming against the table behind him.
"But you need a break!"
For every step forward, he seemed to remove himself with two, caught in a mock of the quadrille, as they moved in tandem. A light crackle of energy filled the air, causing her to tense.
"That is not for you to decide. If you want to help me, then shut up and do the damned work you're paid to do," barely contained anger laced his words,
"Can't you just say yes and give it a chance, Dottore? For me?"
It was a foul move, and she was well aware of it, playing into his earlier jab by deliberately lowering her ears and parting her lips, doing everything to imitate what she hoped had been burned onto his cornea.
"I don't owe you anything," a half truth, "now please, this was a waste of your time. Recognize that and move on, we are already behind schedule."
"At least-" she gestured at him, trying not to sound too shrill, "eat something! I convinced The Regrator to have his cook make you something from Sumeru,"
A fist slamming against a table caused them both to fall silent, Dottore's hand visibly shaking with something. Anger? If so, Celeste couldn't help but be relieved that it was at least more contained, a warm feeling threatening her own frustration at the thought of him being more lenient with her. It would've been easier on her heart to leave at that, defeated but hopeful, there was hardly time to even consider an exit before he spoke, his voice dripping with thinly veiled disdain.
"I don't need, nor do I particularly enjoy, your incessant attempts at coddling me. The only thing you are effectively achieving is souring my mood further, as well as steadily increasing the probability of you ending up on that table next."
Celeste didn't need to look to know where he was pointing, there was only a single thing in that corner. The autopsy table. Memories of blue extremities from how tightly the leather straps had to wrap around the bodies still stood fresh. Ironically, it had never seen as much use as after Celeste joined the Fatui.
A shiver ran down her spine as she backed up, whether from the threat or the reminder of responsibility was insignificant, just as her apparently. If he would so willingly threaten to take her life, what was to say he wouldn't follow through as he was currently? Surely, under normal circumstances it would've been folly, a waste of not only material but, a small hope bloomed within her chest, but of companionship as well? There had to be more than strictly professional relations between them by now, if not romantic then friendly at least.
"Just go, Celeste."
Progress always came at a price, no matter if it was scientific or personal, this was a fact. But there were limits to what price she was willing to pay, especially when the outcome was so uncertain, weeks of nothing but stolen glances met with indifference. It weighed heavy on her heart to realize the futility of her struggle, drowning in the vastness of a ruthless sea.
Without her permission, her fingers had been drawn to the comforting presence pinned to her uniform just above her heart. Despite her better judgement, every rejection, however silent it was, chipped a piece of that heart away. If abandoning a bond that might've never even existed was necessary to prevent stagnation and ruin, then she would treasure the memories and go.
Celestia might as well have fallen from the sky, everything standing still as the dream shattered alongside the lock on her brooch, the beautiful metal reflecting the cold light from where it landed on the floor.
"If that is what you wish, Lord Harbinger."
Fleeting as it was, it seemed Dottore was not without shock if the way his eyes moved almost frantically were any indication. It was deliberate, how she almost spat out the title she'd only uttered in apathy. A part of her clung slim hopes of this being able to jostle him into confession, if not to her then at least himself. Recognition was the first step towards working out a solution. The thought embedded itself into Celeste's mind like a leech, toothy maw sucking the determination from her the longer she had to observe the wounded expression upon Dottore's face. Maybe there was still something to be done?
She refused to see the hand that twitched at his side, the hand that didn't reach for her, as she left the laboratory, pushing through the doors and the cluster of segments huddled just outside in the hall.
Watching her back disappear through the heavy double doors did nothing but confuse Dottore further, bile already at his throat. His chest ached more than it had any right to, if only he was as people said, perhaps then he wouldn't be in this position, ugly coils of desire and hatred tightening their grip around his heart. Denying himself had clearly done nothing good, but if she truly stayed gone, she too would fade into a memory, into another experience to be drawn upon.
It would be for the better, for both of them. It played on repeat in his mind, driving everything else away in place of her presence, fingers wrapping almost tenderly around the brooch. He should toss it, but that would be a waste. A little longer, he could hang onto it a little longer, in case it became useful.

finally doing something with picrew character designs I made out of boredom
cut bc. a lot of them
Astra Chione, he/him. 46 years old. Human, lives in Quoruvelm. Sorcerer from Voravelm, currently considered retired due to a loss of interest. Often visits Felix's cafe, and always orders a slice of butterscotch pie alongside whatever else he orders. Helps Magnus Sentry with his small magic tricks.
Artemis Pythias, she/her. 253,145 years old (25). xekolu/xealruq hybrid. Works in the Library, and rarely shows her face. Disproves of Xalau's rules as well as the near-sadistic nature of Xealruqs, and avoids them both. Occasionally summoned by the Judge's Council as a 'voice of reason' to point out what both sides of situations have done wrong that others may have not noticed.
Chris Agnes. he/they, lives in Felrovelm. 18 years old, human. Survived a run-in with the Incarnation of Hatred at 15, but is permanently marked because of it. Wears makeup and scarves to hide the mark, and dyes tbe blue streaks of his hair brown.
Cassandra . She/her, lives in Zeluvelm. Human(?). 23 years old. A witch, known for having a close connection to animals.
Quikure Uzea, they/she/it. Draconic/human hybrid. Lives in Valarae, age 31. Works in Life's Archive and is a follower of Life. Works with the Historians occasionally to try and recover lost artifacts and time periods, and has a lesser variant of the Historians' Uncanny Valley effect because of the semi-frequent visits to the Archives.
Ceoqux Zelaker, they/he. Human, lives in Voravelm, age 37. The Sorcerer King, who had to prevent a tragedy that would have destroyed Voravelm all on their own. Many still died, but he did succeed. Doesn't want to retire until their daughter (currently 9 years old) turns 20 and can safely take over their position.
^ the two forms of Eveliv Xokona. She/sae/vyri/storm. Lives in Naluxvelm, age 47, Syren. Queen of the last remaining Syren Realm, and has two children, though is reluctant to retire even though she could if she wished.
Elpis Physis, he/they/it. Lives in Ajorvelm, species unknown but presumed human. The main subject of Project Greenscape, which (supposedly) uses his control over plants and illusions to recreate some lost forests. The project's true intentions are unknown, but the forests have remained unchanged.
Calypso Nyx Archon. She/her shade/shades. Lives in Ajorvelm, species human False Incarnation. age unknown, at least 20. The main subject of the Nyx-Archon experiments, in which a False and Controllable Incarnation is attempted to be created via altering the genetic code with dna from other labs' magical entities, and then overwhelming them with magic via introducing them to a True Incarnation (Phobos). Calypso has the appearance of an (artificial) Incarnation, but shade's magic is much weaker.
Oizys Nyx Archon. they/them it/its. Lives in Ajorvelm, species human unknown. Age 19. The second main subject of the Nyx-Archon experiments. Successfully survived 'awakening' and and their body accepted its inhuman traits, but is yet to exhibit useful powers.
Eros Agape, she/vyr. A trickster entity in Zeluvelm, enjoys messing with people's emotions and creating new & sometimes harmful bonds between them. Considered a minor deity like the Seasonal Demigods, and is sometimes prayed to for love, much to vyr's delight.
Anaphora Aether, they/star/it. Realm Traveler, Xekolu descendant and suspected to be related to Zeluvelm's fae-like entities. Physically 24 but won't say how long star's been around. Has powers similar to Celeste Chrone's and can create short time loops, but their intentions and true powers are unclear. Presumably a Guardian of some kind.
Chiasmus Aether, he/they/light. Realm Traveler, Xekolu Descendant and suspected to be related to Zeluvelm's fae-like entities. Physically 28 but won't say how long he's been around. Has powers similar to Celeste Chrone's and can reverse time but cannot create full loops. True power set is unknown, presumably a Guardian of some kind.
