I saw a post somewhere that each of the companions' personal quests have to do with the main quest - Gale wants/knows about the Crown of Karsus, Shadowheart is involved with the shadow-cursed lands and therefore Ketheric Thorm, Wyll's connection to Duke Ravengard leads you to Enver Gortash, same as Karlach, Lae'zel guides you to the githyanki/Astral plane side of things and by extension you learn more about your Dream Visitor, everyone has a main plot relevant quest-
except Astarion.
His personal quest is very personal but has nothing to do with the Absolute, unless you view his being able to walk in the sun as motivation for growing your illithid powers.
And I've been thinking about it and I'm pretty sure that's on purpose. Astarion is in the party to be loved; you wouldn't have any reason to want to keep the tadpole in your head otherwise.
I'm not saying Astarion/Tav is canon but it is tho.

i just feel like someone should take one for the team and write the fanfic where miss homotron goes to dragonstone on foot, meets her situationship’s new lover, and immediately goes like blind with jealousy and fury (rhaenyra, as always when alicent’s near, looks and behaves like a very confused kicked puppy)
i just need homotron and saphotron to meet, so the real war can begin

I was rereading dunmeshi and was reminded of the dryad lifecycle and I just. The amount of things in this manga that makes complete sense but also none at all. Keeps me awake at night tbh. Can’t get enough. What’s ur fav complete bonkers fact from the series?
No joke the first thing I remember questioning in dungeon meshi is the explanation for Falin always having her eyes closed, I was like "what do you mean she's always squinting cause shes near sighted, where's her glasses" meanwhile I was squinting at my screen without my glasses on.
Anyway, I think my favorite bonkers monster explanation is the Red Dragon, they click their tongues to ignite fuel, eat their prey whole so they produce pellets and use that for ignition too, all the dragons tbh, I had a major dragon phase when I was a teen so it's really satisfying seeing more animal-like Dragons that just make so much sense (even tho they're also absurd, as dragons are)

emotionally, I am still living in that moment when orym made his deal with nana morri and she said, "you smell of the touch of divinity. that makes you enticing." I'm supposing she's referring to the wildmother taking a particular interest in him (she cared enough to upgrade his sword for him!), which, in itself, is incredibly interesting because it suggests the divine still has eyes on orym in some capacity. and I also wonder how this deal with morri affects any potential relationship with the divine orym could have. is it enticing for a hag to make a deal with someone touched by the divine because fucking with the divine and, by extension, someone chosen by the divine is fun? to what degree has the divine touched orym, and is he being eyed by a deity (presumably the wildmother) for a more important role, should he be willing to take it? does the deal with morri actively impede a god's attempt to establish a connection with him? i really, truly would like for this to come up again because i am so curious about it all

i feel like everyone theorizing about Nept is missing the fun fact that if Nept being a blueblood and Aqua's ancestor are both true, then that would make Aqua CANONICALLY related to Xehanort

At least part of the fun of watching Oppenheimer is sitting through three hours of him looking all distinguished and brooding with his pipe as he chainsmokes his way through the trauma of the nuclear bomb knowing he’s gonna die of throat cancer in a couple years

personally I find it unlikely that sev was a prefect. first of all if he'd had a badge I think it would've been brought up somehow in SWM (unlike Lily whom Harry barely paid attention to) and I also just don't think he would have been chosen. I doubt Slughorn would have chosen him if he had any say in the matter and I don't think Dumbledore would have either

I use falling asleep time to tell myself stories (otherwise the background brain music would be so loud I couldn’t sleep). A lot of times that’s my paused book but the scenes get stale from that so I bop around comic ideas too.
One popped up the other night as a little one off joke and then I was like, huh, maybe I’m on to something… so the last couple nights have been what I think will turn into the next comic.

AU where DW never told LP his secret identity after the Bulba fight. DW doesn’t get to adopt Gosalyn as early either. But he’s using his civilian identity again and trying to get his life back together as a ‘regular’ person so he can 👍👍
LP starts falling in love with Darkwing (which tbh, he def already had a crush but shh) but ALSO meets Drake, unaware that he’s Darkwing, and falls in love with him too.
MUWHAHAHA Self indulgence
