So i know you said no destiny swap Cole leaks yet but… what about Morro wtehrbgdhd

No pressure your au just really interests me and i love reading you yap about it
okYESSSSA :33 THIS I CAN! Anything for u of course asrik I Know ur the Morro fan ever
the hiccup braids are courtesy of hellz and cappy btw . ok yayyyyy Morro stuff under cut !!
morro is the elemental master of ice, the oldest member of the team, and their leader. in destinyswap, he is a very solid, intelligent guy, … as well as the epitome of a 90s sitcom older brother that leans against the doorframe and makes stupid comments .
he prefers close combat and taking the time to think before he acts . even though he’s pretty impulsive by nature, he knows that he has to reel it in because his team is, frankly, full of idiot kids that need his guidance
backstory …..pretty similar to canon morro. financially unstable, living on the streets, yada yada …. except morro’s family is recently dead, so he’s all alone trying to survive. one day, he is caught attempting to climb the wall to the monastery , and instead of being scolded or threatened, his unkempt appearance … causes garmadon and misako to take pity on him . after a meal and some questioning about his home , he is taken in by the couple
n that’s basically it! morro adjusts to a new way of life, much more forgiving and exciting than what he was doing before . misako helps to homeschool him and catch him up to the grade level that he should be at for his age . lloyd becomes extremely attached to morro, viewing him as a brother of sorts, and morro feels the same way towards lloyd; they become inseparable . eventually, garmadon teaches him prophecies and elements and such, all the things that he has already taught lloyd, and morro soon learns that he , himself, is an elemental master
(and because morro staying at the monastery did not begin with a life of training and the promise of a destiny such as the green ninja’s, he didn’t develop the obsession that canon morro did , and his training as the elemental master of ice was a lot more stable and fulfilling)
somewhere along the lines, garmadon finds another elemental master, zane, who seems just as lost and uncomfortable as morro was when he was first taken in. morro does his best to soothe him. he understands. he learns that zane is one hell of a craftsman .
and then there’s another, kai, who is angry and stressed and constantly straining himself in an attempt to improve . his little sister has been kidnapped , and morro knows what it’s like to lose a sibling. he does his best to soothe kai. it doesn’t work , not at first , not really, but he tries anyway.
and when nya is saved , and when her fate as the green ninja is sealed, morro does his best to soothe her, too. she’s begun feeling like she has to do everything on her own, handle the world because that’s her situation now, and he gets it, because he was in her shoes once , too. maybe their situations weren’t the same, but he understands bearing the weight of your world on your shoulders
anyway
that’s all I can reveal for now <3
have some ds morro facts : )
- he’s the most agile on the team for a while !
- he’s kind of a jungle gym for lloyd and harumi . they beggggg him to carry them around and they cling to his legs while he tries to walk, so he has to stumble down the hallway like he’s stepping in snow .
- even though he tries to be calm, he has a pretty short temper, . however, he’s learned to …… cope with it (he once put his entire palm over kai’s face and then pushed him into the couch cushions because he was being rude)
- since unlocking his true potential , when he’s really emotional, snowflakes flurry around his face . he wasn’t aware of this for a while
- he likes to give gifts , so if he sees something that reminds him of someone when he’s out and about , he absolutely will make sure to buy it
- coffee addict …..
- he really likes LIZARDS! for his 18th birthday, he got a tattoo of one on his right side
- he has a fancy sword collection…… swords he never uses. They’re just hanging on his wall
- he’s kind of just, good at everything . which can be really aggravating… especially when he beats all of kai’s high scores
- his pokemon card deck consists of GHOST TYPES!!!!!!… this was not an intentional callback. but it gets me sometimes
blahblah yap yap
[uhhh taglist… let’s see if i can remember]
[ @hellsballz @captain-space-kin @jammahanna @rusted-fairy-wings @kindaasrikal @old-pine-woods @guacadoodledoo @cherrivixx ]
#(sorry that thjs took so long….ive had the draft for days and kept hesitating🙁🙁)#anyway. ds Morro ❤️#my pride and joy#ninjago#destinyswap au

HEAR ME OUT
James Potter son of Apollo smth smth prophecy looming over him that no one really tells him about. Its either about him or his bloodline
Dumbledore and McGonagall, camp directors, who know about the prophecy and about the other gods but never really tell anyone.
Peter Pettigrew, satyr protector to James and Marlene who brought them to camp.
Marlene Mckinnon, daughter of Hermes
Mary Mcdonald, daughter of Aphrodite
Lily Evans, daughter of Hecate
Remus Lupin, son of Athena, had been targeted by Lycaon the werewolf king, the og werewolf if you will.
One day, Sirius just shows up at camp, changing everything James thought he knew about himself and the gods.
He's passed out at the entry of the camp when Remus finds him and brings him to Dumbledore and McGonagall. Remus can't help but groan in disgust as he startles awake "you drool when you sleep" he tells him.
Turns out, Sirius has amnesia and the only thing he can remember is his name. Just his first name.
He can remember other stuff as well, like the names of the gods and monsters, except he knows them all in Roman and even though he's a bit rough around the edges and flinches a lot and acts tough, James decides to stick with him.
They go on a quest, yada yada yada, Sirius feels like he should remember someone important but he just can't put his finger on it.
Soon the four- James, Sirius, Remus and Peter become fast friends, and Sirius seems to have no issue with forgetting his "past life" since he has a feeling this one is much better.
Everything is going fine, Sirius like Remus, Remus likes Sirius, though neither of them will ever admit it, James is loud and proud about his crush on Lily.
Until one day when they run into someone else on a quest. They heard from Peter about a group of demigods, only to discover they aren't some helpless eleven year olds but rather fully trained vicious, broody, sarcastic annoying demigods. James doesn't remember seeing them at camp, but they all have weapons and they keep talking about their home. There's three of them, Regulus Black, son of Hades, Dorcas Meadows, daughter of Nike and Barty Crouch Jr, son of Nemesis.
Sirius falls off a cliff lol so James, Remus, Peter, Regulus and Lily go on a quest to get him back. EXCEPT THEY DON'T KNOW SIRIUS AND REGULUS ARE RELATED. James never says the name of his friend who fell off the cliff, he just calls him "Padfoot" or the occasional "Pads" and Regulus doesn't really talk at all about his family or even where he's from.
Smth smth cute about Dorcas being SUPER competitive with Marlene in everything at camp, smth smth, Barty meeting Evan Rosier at camp haha
anyway, Black Brother reunion!! does not go well, smth smth both camps realise about each other!!
Have to band together to defeat an enemy.
Since James and the others cant go to their camp, Regulus, Dorcas and Barty decide to stay to vanquish the threat of the Dark Lord only to discover that some of their own camp members are on the bad side (Luke Castellan's side)
smth smth, battle!! Regulus and Barty join the bad side while Dorcas stays.
Regulus discovers the weaknesses of the Dark Lord and dies while trying to destroy it.
Sirius and James who had been dating Regulus in secret, are both devastated. smth smth!!
final battle!! By this time, James and Lily have been dating, they're like young tho, and James has conflicting feelings about the battle cause he keeps imagining Regulus to be one of the enemy but he's yk dead.
Blahblah blah, Peter betrays them, James and Lily die, but they have a son who will go on to permanently destroy the threat forever and ever, the end everyone you love is dead!

Also can we get more info about terracota and their team but mainly terracota cause
ABSOLUTELY I WILL I LOVE TERRACOTTA AND TEAM FORESIGHT THEIR MY FAVORITES !!!!!!!!!!
also terracotta and paeden have received slight redesigns 😼
Terracotta used to be an independent "team" until Lore showed up with their group (team spirit) and got split to a different team because Lore was the only one out of the four of them who was willing to go meet new people to make a team with. Terracotta didn't really want Lore on the team because it preferred to work alone, but was eventually convinced by Saturn to let Lore on their team, and they became good friends pretty quick, and then they found Paeden injured in the bushes yada-yada i'll get to that in a later post or something because Paeden's the main character of my story.
For personalities, Terracotta is serious, organized, and direct. Lore is silly and emotional. and Paeden is angry and impulsive ( he's working on it )
Terracotta is the strongest in the guild at level 71 ( again in terms of pokémon leveling and not pmd leveling ) and it's team (along with team half-moon) are often given the more challenging and dangerous missions. Though Team Foresight doesn't consider itself to really have a leader of the team, if anyone asked they'd definitely agree terracotta was the best to be leader. It's moveset is Psychic, Fly, Sky Attack, and Dazzling Gleam, with the ability Magic Guard
Lore is level 58 and has the moveset Shadow Ball, Hex, Dark Pulse, and flamethrower, with the ability Flame Body
Paeden is level 62 and has the moveset Brick Break, Facade, Foul Play, and High Jump Kick, with the ability Moxie
Team Foresight has this whole ability thing together that i will explain at a later date because i'm still working on it kind of, but it's essentially the equivalent of in warrior cats when the medicine cats or leaders go to the moon rock/ moon pool and receive a prophecy or message
Team Foresight are also the main characters of my story and it sort of leads down the path of how Terracotta, Lore, and Paeden all have a bone to pick with Palkia, Dialga, and Arceus respectively. The baseline of Terracotta's (i'm also still working on this) is basically about how Palkia created it and a bunch of other sigilyph to protect a bunch of ancient structures ( i interpret Palkia being "god of space" as more of palkia being i charge of everything phisical, like space on earth and whatnot) and then basically just left them after a few years, so Terracotta got tired of waiting for them to come back and left the group and the structures it was protecting to go do whatever, and then they found the guild and joined it after a bunch of independent training
I LOVE BEING ASKED QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK ME MORE

Things in the asoiaf space gets easier when you find a small group of people who don't have brainrot. It's really weird how people, when they talk about the relationship between rhaegar and lyanna say that it was actually toxic as a subversion when it's actually pretty obvious that the subversion it really that the two just liked each other and were young and dumb. The whole story about him "abducting" her was spread by Robert who couldn't imagine a scenario in which his fiancee didn't want to be with him. It's obvious from Ned's POV chapters that Robert never even knew her and lacked the honor Ned values. It's also a subversion of the relationship between Paris (Rhaegar), Helen (Lyanna), and Menelaus (Robert), wherein Helen actually was abducted by Paris and wanted to return to her husband of choice, Menelaus. But Lyanna clearly from Ned's memories didn't want to marry Robert and chose to leave with Rhaegar. Tbh, it seems like a lot of people just want women in this series to have limited agency and be miserable.
Totally agree on the subversion part. It is idiotic to say that Rhaegar kidnapping and raping Lyanna is a subversion of a more romantic trope. Guys, this is literally what ROBERT BARATHEON says in the BEGINNING of the FIRST book. It's literally the way the story looks from point zero. The only possible way this can go is towards questioning this, not confirming it. If anything, that is what a subversion is about, right? Idk, somebody who's more specialized in literature can correct me here.
About Helen of Troy, the issue is, she was not exactly abducted by Paris. It is not indicated in the Iliad that she was literally abducted, but it is mentioned that she regrets leaving her husband for Paris. It is more a case of false expectations, she expected another man, with different virtues, a man more like Hector, and Paris just doesn't cut it in comparison with his brother, let alone Menelaus, who seemed more worthy of her in retrospect. Iliad's dynamic is so different though, specifically because Paris is compared to Menelaus and his own brother simultaneously, and next to them he seems week, unworthy, coward and self indulgent. Helen was also actually married before and she had a daughter, so the whole dynamic is sensibly different. Still, the subversion applies because overall, Paris seems kind of unworthy in the narrative but Rhaegar doesn't, if you truly pay close attention to the text without substituting the actual text with your own biases (Rhaegar was dumb, a pedo, a groomer, an abuser, an irresponsible POS, self centered psycho Targ obsessed with unicorns and monsters yada yada). The narrative doesn't actually accuse Rhaegar for the war (see here, here and here), nor for being influenced by the prophecy (which is literally a positive trait in the narrative). Of course the narrative doesn't accuse Lyanna for the war either. The elopement was the catalyst that led to the war from a narrative perspective (as a succession of events, one event leads to another which leads to another), that doesn't mean that the reader is actually meant to accuse this couple for the war. I just wish that more people could get this difference. Which leads me to my next point.
What is an actual common trait between the Troyan war and Robert's Rebellion is the fact that a woman eloping with another man seems to be the cause of the war. In reality, when reading Iliad you understand that actually, it's greed for power that inspired Agamemnon to go to Troy, it's pride that led Achilles to do what he did, it's ambition that kept Odysseus going through his plan with the Troyan horse. Nobody actually gives a shit about Helen of Troy or Menelaus even. Sure, Helen was the catalyst, but the story would have gone so differently had it not been for the specific desires, vices, interests of people involved that had nothing to do with the honor of Helen of Troy and her husband. Which is exactly what annoys me in discourse about Robert's Rebellion, it's so simplistic, R+L were selfish brats who fucked everyone over, end of story, bye. Such a boring take, and most importantly, wrong. It is contradicted by GRRM himself in interviews. You don't even need the interviews, you just need to read the books.
The reader is supposed to know the truth. We are not Robert Baratheon. We are not John Arryn nor Tywin Lannister. We know what happened, from multiple POV's. We know what Brandon did, what Aerys did afterwards, we know what Robert's motives truly were, we know what Tywin motives truly were. We know. So many people, so many bad deeds, but we just focus on one, because we don't like the Targs.
#robert's rebellion#helen of troy#if someone asks me i will find a translation of a great greek poem about helen of troy that alludes to the second world war#and its message is precisely that helen of troy wasn't the real cause in reality it was just the facade#and other interests were at play#beautiful poem#iliad#asoiaf#rhaegar targaryen#lyanna stark#robert baratheon#anonymous#aspa rambles

I can see the Computer Nerd becoming an artificer.
And the Science Nerd being an Alchemist would be cool too.
Maybe the Geek or Gamer Kid could become Wizards.
ALSO! I was thinking, and what if everyone who was summoned got a 'Title' something that grants them powers and abilities, and as such, MC got one that would be foretold to cause problems.
The whole class appears within the summoning area (this could be a temple/the palace/the middle of town in front of EVERYONE) and they are greeted by the king/queen who bows and grovels before all these most beloved guests and gives this whole shpeil about how they were prophesied to come and save their land from great destruction and suffering Yada Yada yada....
So! He brings them forth to have their abilities appraised. And one by one, they get scanned showing that Pres has "Ultimate Strategist" and Bully is the "Mightiest Warrior" and Tomboy is the "Sword's Master" (yes Sword's she gets the Holy blade of whatever, it's awesome) so on and so forth. Eventually, it gets down MC as the last in line. His title is noticeably different, a little ominous, but not outrightly evil or bad. However! The Ruler takes one look at it and grabs their mighty royal blade, and deals a supposedly fatal blow to the young man.
It takes the entire class a full ten seconds before anyone can even think to react. Giving the Ruler enough time to set aside the sword, brush out a few nonexistent wrinkles in their robes, and turn to the rest to continue the conversation like nothing happened. Everyone, except the class, sees no problem with what's going on and just goes with it. Once someone is able to put thoughts into words, screams and accusations are thrown. The Ruler has only a moment to explain themselves before the glowing magic blade that just appeared in Tomboy's hand removes his head from his shoulders.
Luckily enough, the Ruler thought ahead and had just enough guards in place to hold back the raging, but still confused masses. They explain how the same prophecy that spoke of their arrival told of an individual with MC's title that would come forth and bring the end of their kingdom. As such, they HAD to kill him for the sake of the world! You understand, right?
The Class does NOT Understand and thusly take that magic sword Tomboy has and bust their way out, unfortunately having to leave MC's body behind to makesure everyone else gets out.
Unknown to anyone, a slight side effect of MC's Title makes him much harder to get rid of than that. Through a series is fortunate events, he gets out and is home free but all alone. He travels gaining skills, abilities, and powers eventually coming across the Class, now established Heroes.
The story continues as previously stated.
The standard 'entire class gets isekai'd to a fantasy world and the outcast MC is basically discarded' anime setting, where the MC, now assumed dead, decides to instead help the class of Heroes in the shadows, making sure they live up to what the people need.
However, the entire class knows that he's alive and are hellbent on dragging that son of a bitch back into the spotlight and to give him the recognition he deserves.
(And maybe because he was basically the entire class's Little Guy™.)

I had an idea for a Dark SBI Technocentric fic. Might write it? Not sure. Anyway, I wanted to share the idea with someone who might enjoy it.
So, it would be Vampire Royalty because gosh is there a ton of that. Phil, Tommy, and Wilber are the "evil" Vampire rulers of some kingdom, hellbent on controlling the world yada yada.
Techno lives in a Monarchal Theocracy that worships the Blood God. The King is viewed as the mouthpiece of the God. And years before he was born, the King gave some prophecy that a child born in the month of the Summer Solstice was destined to destroy the hearts of the vampiric scourge. So the country decides that every kid born in June is gonna get yoinked. So, all kids born in June are forced to live under the Church of the Blood God, trained every day to beat the Vampiric Empire.
Techno, of course, being one of them.
Technoblade does not believe the prophecy is true, but saying that gets him punished so he holds his tongue. He thinks it was just a really convenient way to conscript 1/12 of the entire population into a child army, but whatever.
One day when he is out doing whatever the Church told him to do, he runs into Tommy (who is spying on the country. Philza and co were not happy about the resistance growing there). Tommy's done something to get a few people rankled with him. Technoblade uses some BS church Nonsense to get the people to back off from him. Bedrockduo moment when Techno reveals (with a bit of supernatural influence) that he thought the whole thing was dumb. Cue silly moments with Tommy just enthused with the conversation. That moment in every dark SBI fic where someone decides "Yes, I want this one. Mine."
Cue epic army invasion! It's so weird! It's like they all their plans! How did they know that this plan would work? They had a spy on the inside. That's right Hercules Mul- I mean Wilber. No one even realized that the newly appointed advisor to the King was Wilber, silver tongue and all that.
The Church throws all their child soldiers at the invading army, not caring how young they are. If they can walk and hold a knife, they are shoved out to fight. Technoblade fights like the monster he is, trying to be some kind of shield to the itty bitty ones behind him. And he is amazing and terrifying and ANGRY. Every time he's just a little too slow, or makes a mistake and one of these kids drops dead, he thinks he can hear them shouting encouragement to him in his head.
Eventually, he's faced with Philza himself and he puts up a good fight. But Phil ain't human and he loses. But Phil likes him as well and decides, yep. Keeping this one. Has him bound and dragged along as they make their way into the King's throne room, where the King is just begging for his life. The royals are slaughtered, and Wilber picks up the crown and places it on Techno's head, thinking it looked quite nice.
And that's as far as I got. They are definitely dragging Techno back. All the fun Dark SBI moments as Techno slowly warms up to them. But yeah, maybe I will write it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Any ideas?
YOOOO, took me a while to answer this one because I had to reread it several times over it’s such a banger. Please please PLEASE consider writing it cause I wanna read it so bad (and otherwise I have to steal it jk jk)
I keep thinking about Techno after he’s taken in by the vampire sbi too. Like, you know how in most fics using that trope they’d just turn him against his will and he warms up to them after already being turned?
But for this Techno, his entire life is already about having no agency. He was taken in by the church as a child, having any option of choice taken away from him. So really, the SBI taking him doesn’t make that much of a difference. He’d resent them in a similar manner.
What if they decide to prove their good intentions to Techno by telling him they won’t turn him until he asks, until he’s ready for it. And sure, it’s a bit of a hypocrite move considering they still kidnapped him, and they’re still keeping him in the castle against his will, they still consider him their in every sense of the word. An illusion of free will at most.
It’d be interesting in seeing them try to win him over despite all that though. And of course, in the end, Techno does get turned ;)

My Computer Is Terrible So I'm Stating My Story Ideas Here Part 9: This is gonna be very f-ing vague but it has Lore Keeper Sonia in it and that all that matters.......and my oc x Leon ship I guess.
Okay okay okay
Swsh Fantasy/Medieval/Royalty Au
You love it. I love it. Will I write about it? Eh. Will I gush about it? Absolutely.
So so so
Some random things that I'm thinking about.
I'm going full ramble here prepare yourself.
Lore. Keeper. Sonia. My. Beloved.
Let her have an active role dammit
For what idk but it'll be something!
Also King Leon cause duh
With Raihan as his number 1 knight. The only one who can at least match him in battle
Also his bff( along with Sonia)
Being a young king Leon had less time to interact with those he cares about
Like Hop
Also Prince Hop My Beloved
So like
The plot is very vague but like
The basic idea is that there's a threat of a dragon or something similar to the sort
And ofc King Leon and his best knight will go to the threat themselves since soldiers they sent has note returned so better go themselves to not loose anymore men
So as they prepare to leave Sonia comes along and is like " I'm coming with you I know about these Legends of the Land that might help you" and Leon is like " No it's do dangerous" and they fight about while Raihan is in the background like " oh damn" before Leon uses his status as a king and orders Sonia to not interfere which really blows a whole into their already stained friendship
It also causes Raihan to question if his relationship with Leon is that they're actually friends or it's just of a king and his knight ( only professional)
Leon in all of this is feeling very bad but Rose is like " you did what you had to do" and tries to encourage Leon about his abilities/ status/ relationships.
Rose is Leon's counselor/ Duke/ idfc but he's there
Change in perspective: it's hops turn
His whole thing is that when he was really young he used to be bff's with this girl( Naomi) but the problem is that no has seen her AND one day she just disappeared like that one guy in the meme so no one believes him when he says that she exist
So up until now he was taught to believe that he was imagining things and that this girl didn't really exist until he started having weird dreams about someone calling him to fulfill some prophecy of sword and shield or whatever and each time this person mentions Naomi, his childhood friend
And in his dreams it's said that they have to go to the place Leon and Raihan are going to fulfill the prophecy
So now Hop's like " well dang I guess I have to fulfill this prophecy but there's no way that Lee would let me go with him-" ( cause he overheard Lee's and Sonia's fight) " so who can I ask?"
Piers that's who!!!
Idk if he's gonna be a duke or part of a gang of thieves not how tf does hop know about him but he does and we're gonna role with it
THIS IS GETTING ODDLY SPECIFIC FIR SOMETHING THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE F-ING VAGUE
Also Marnie tags along too because of course she does
They somehow tag Bede along who was going to stop them but they forced him to come anyway
BACK TO LEON
A day before they leave Raihan is like " we should head to the market for extra supplies " and Leon's like " yeah sure" so they head to the market
While they're there Leon bumps into a stranger with black clock with neon blue highlights aka Alexis!!!!
And Alexis drops a few things most notable a compass of sort but before Leon can say anything Alexis just snatches it out of Leon's hands and walks off without a word
And Leon's like " rude" but honestly doesn't think of it
So the next day they're actually leaving for real and after a long while on the road Raihan thinks that some snuck on their carriage only to find out it was just Sonia because she's a bad bitch like that
And Leon obviously makes a fuss because she went against his orders but she's like " I know more about * insert place* more than the two of you combined!" ( Well not really, and Raihan is fairly knowledgeable about Legends and history and and stuff but I need a reason for Sonia to be there okay)
They fight for a bit before Raihan gets in between the two and is like " we're too far to go back now and she might be a big help so stop fighting" and they stop for the time being.
Que travel sequence with both parties having shenanigans
Leon and Sonia fighting
Hop and Bede fighting
Marnie honestly vibing
Piers being tired of everything and rethinking his life choices
Raihan honesty having to be the middle man before snapping himself and now all three of them are not on good terms ( oh you thought it was just gonna be Alexis x Leon angst? Ha! The games gave me both to much and to little content to work with. Suffer)
Another perspective change but it's Alexis this time!!!!!
In the game canon he had a relatively light scar on his right eye. Well now it's worse :)
In this Au he was cursed by a certain green haired man( Ghetsis) (I'm going to dread tagging this aren't I ), who was an evil warlock and king( or Alexis' Homeland and by force I must add)that Alexis defeated cause he was once a hero
Bascically he's cursed to have the appearance and abilities to a half-dragon
So for the most part he looks human with a few things akin to Zekrom minus the tail.
To be specific his arms and legs are both seemingly chard black, with slightly visible lightning marks. they glow blue when he's using magic/ his powers. His eyes ( well eye) is like Zekrom's
While that sounds cool, his new abilities give Alexis a lot of pain, as his body isn't suited for it
And because big that he can't really control his new powers so he's not only hurting himself but also those around him.
As much as I want to go the route of he runs away from his family and friends to look for a cure and protect them this guy Formerly had no clue how magic worked he just used it, so he had to ask those around him who did to help him
Which involves the dragon that everyone is looking for as it is said to sap energy of any kind, which would reverse his curse.
This dragon is called Eternatus
The problem is that this same dragon is known to to use it's energy to cause destruction around it and Alexis is like yeah no, and goes off to find another way with Elliot and N since both Cheren and Bianca have they're own duties and N knows about the curse being Ghetsis' son
The compass is magic and it's away for each of them to tell where the other is and use for communication
It's also used to detect magic!
So yeah this compass is very important
Along they're travels the twins have this very strange dream regarding Naomi but they notice that A) she's wearing a necklace that was once owned by their uncle before he moved away to start a family.
So they rightfully assume that this girl is their cousin
The second thing they notice is that Eternatus is literally right behind her and is causing her A LOT of pain.
Bascically she's begging them to come save her because she's gonna die if they don't
If your wondering why she didn't contact Hop it's because she assumed that Hop had forgotten about her so she thought it would be pointless. Not the spirits/ the wolves though!
So know the twins have no choice but to go find Eternatus and rescue Naomi because why wouldn't they she's in trouble and they're cousin !!!!
So they tell N the gist and make they're way to the kingdom that Leon rules and Alexis bumps into Leon yada yada yada you get it
And after that they leave for Eternatus.
I have a lot more ideas but this is getting waaaaay to long so I'm just gonna make a part 2/ part 10.
Seriously this is very fun to think about as I love the fantasy genre.

Jason's death WAS NOT FAIR. Why did Jason die? Probably because Rick saw people hating on him for being a ‘typical white blond’. I've seen sooo many people say that, it's honestly disgusting. Is that not discrimination? He's perfect and for some reason that's bad?
Sure. People hate on him just because he's just as good as Percy. I've seen posts saying like, ‘the entire fandom agrees Percy could easily defeat Jason’ and it makes me so angry! seriously, can people not?
Leo cheated death. Frank changed his fate. But Jason died.
His mother, dead; his sister: gave up worldly responsibilities even though she had been given a prophecy that she'll be reunited with him, at some point. And his father? Well he gave him to Hera to use as her pawn when he was, what, three? Then he trained with wolves till he turned six. After twelve years of serving Rome and, say, a year after that trying to unite both camps, he died.
And Piper had broken up with him at that point, which means he died feeling unloved. [She being the same girl whom he (in The Lost Hero) saved by jumping off a bridge(?) when he didn't remember he was a demigod who could fly. This too was when he was merely acquainted with her. They probably weren't even friends at that point.]
Let's take a moment to just appreciate what Jason Grace did. Jason led a quest to find and slayed the Trojan sea monster, which included him staying at Aeolus's palace for a few days, doing a favour for the god Bacchus (Gk. Dionysus) involving a missing leopard in Sonoma, and going on a quest with Reyna to Charleston to retrieve a stash of Imperial Gold torpedoes from the C.S.S. Hunley at Fort Sumter. He also led the attack on Mount Orthys during the Second Titan War and toppled Kronos' black throne. He defeated the Titan Krios with his own hands (without taking a dip in river Styx, so that means all by himself; or perhaps some help from the legion. And yet, he was wholely vincible). Following the war with Mother Earth, Jason was left devastated by Leo's ‘death’ but intended to keep his promise to Kymopoleia to make sure that all the gods get recognition. Jason was given the title Pontifex Maximum essentially a high priest, a title no one has taken up in centuries (except for Octavian who had appointed himself). He truly, in all his senses, wanted the right thing to be done.
I love Percy. I have nothing against him, but when he didn't go on the quests with Apollo, who did? At one point, Jason. And then he died. Wow. Just like that. (Now, some might say Percy is the strongest demi-god and yada yada 'cause he survived Tartarus, but can we please appreciate that Annabeth was with him? He didn't go through it alone. Ps, Nico also survived in Tartarus. So, Jason should also be able to do so.)
And yet, he's just a cliché–a typical white blond male. Sure, I bet all blond males are sons of Zeus, can fly and summon lighting, and have to fight monsters on a daily basis. Yeah right.

Okay so this is always such a fascinating topic to me—
Because excluding certain scenes from the movie that would go unmentioned (I’m looking at you, “we were your friends, and now we hate you”, that’s just not realistic in the world you set up of the Dorksquad vs. Everyone else AND the fact that the rest of the squad SHOULDN’T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THE ULTIMATE WEAPON BECAUSE WU ONLY TOLD HIS NEPHEW ON A WHIM RECENTLY AAAAAAAARRRGH it’s fine everything’s fine the answer is that they all have a concussion from Meowthra because my physics-smart friend calculated the force she hit m!Kai’s mech with is enough to at least cause a concussion—)
Anyways, the point is that you can actually see similarities between the show and movie versions of the ninja that, with a bit of movieverse worldbuilding (please please please ask me about movieverse worldbuilding/lore if you’re interested it’s so much fun and free real estate), can be traced to differences in how they were raised.
Let’s start with one of the least changed, Lloyd.
So show Lloyd (or Monty, as I like to nickname him) was raised at Darkleys without his mom while idolizing his father, then learned about the prophecy, got aged up magically, yada yada. That doesn’t mean movie!Lloyd (Green) isn’t him— but due to the differences in their upbringing, Green becomes more of a tired people-pleaser while Monty is a tired leader and chosen one.
In fact, Green isn’t a chosen one. That’s one of the biggest differences between him and Monty. Technically, the movie never confirms if he’s even part oni-dragon and the grandson of the FSM (personal headcanons is that he’s part oni from his dad’s side, part dragon from Koko’s side, and while he’s still the grandson of the FSM who created the continent of Ninjago, other continents that are much older were formed by other gods)
But Lloyd acts relatively similar in both versions (minus a few changes which can come from Green going to school & being bullied/blamed constantly his whole life while it stopped from civialians for Monty after the ninja took him in)— so let’s go to a slightly more different case.
Take Kai, for example. On the surface, movie Kai (Red) looks like an exaggerated version of show Kai (Smith) boiled down to his bare essence— loud, angry, and protective.
But when you look closer, he’s actually… not the hothead the movie tries to paint him as in promotion. His sister (Cyan) is way angrier— heck, the rest of the squad get more angry than him in the film. In fact, the most angry I can remember him getting is when Garmadon hits Cyan in the Temple of Fragile Foundations— and that’s rightful protectiveness instead of impulsive hotheadedness (side note— shoutouts to Red who FLIPS LORD GARMADON WITH JUST HIS LEGS, the boi is STRONK)
So if Red isn’t hotheaded, why is he so loud? The infamous “birthday boy” & hug scene comes to mind, which… when you remember how much Green and the Dorksquad get bullied, makes a lot more sense.
Red is loud to drown out the negativity around them.
He’s so, so loud— with his actions, with his words, always with a bright smile— to cover the whispers and jabs, to distract his siblings and friends from a world where everyone is their enemy.
Smith is angry and jaded from being abandoned with his sister. He doesn’t seek help (possibly because he asked and never received any in his youth) and instead closed himself off, responding with defensive temper. It’s only recently with the team’s help that he’s let himself become more open with his feelings, and in turn in recent seasons, he starts to act a bit more like Red.
In Smith’s world, enemies can be dealt with using punches, kicks, and unapologetic raging fire.
But in Red’s… you can’t punch a bully when the entire school, including the staff, are against you. You can’t shout at a rude storekeeper until security throws you out (much as Cyan tries). So what do you do? You learn to ignore the words as best you can, as much as it hurts your insecurities, and be louder to shield the people you care about.
You also drink six cups of coffee and go on conspiracy rants about cryptids, but that’s another thing entirely.
(Also there’s the fact that Red & Cyan’s living situation is free real estate, and that no matter what— if they live on their own, if they have parents that just travel all the time for work, if their parents are home all the time, etc.— they still have a mother figure in Koko, which will naturally make Red more relaxed and laid back compared to Smith)
Honestly I could keep going on and on but this post is already long (if you’re still here reading it, congrats), but to quickly summarize the other points I wanted to make because I only got to 2/6 of the ninja before running out of steam—
Cyan is more fiercely protective and angry than her counterpart because a) I headcanon she’s the older twin (oh yeah, and Red & Cyan are twins, not years apart, so that’s another difference that will impact their characters) and b) she’s constantly facing enemies she can’t fight and it frustrates her to no end, so any battle she can defend without repercussion (ex. waging war on sexism), she does so with relentless passion
Movie!Cole isn’t the leader of the group because he never was in that position, and with possibly never running away from home (though his relation with his dad is debatable), he’s going to be more laid back and relaxed (plus he learns how to still fulfil his mother’s wish to stand up against cruelty using witty remarks and sarcasm when physical intervention isn’t a possibility)
m!Zane has soooo many nindroid insecurities pre-movie and even then only feels comfortable talking about it with his friends (normal human teenager, anyone?), and his special interest/coping mechanism is memes. He also has way more internet access than show!Zane at a younger age, so he knows way more references and internet culture— as well as being terrified as a small child by all those robot apocalypse sci fi movies about people hating robots.
Oh, and Dr. J is way less morally grey and way nicer, built Echo, lost his husband Whint (temporarily, he’ll get him back), ditched his thieving ex-coworker Jacob (cough the Mechanic cough), is friends with Cyrus Borg, and has a chronic adoption habit, which is also going to change m!Zane’s upbringing without the whole “built to protect” mentality
m!Jay has anxiety. Even more than s!Jay. That boy so clearly has anxiety which was absolutely made worse by bullying, and yet he sticks with the squad because he lives them that much. He’s also a bundle of insecurities and shows it more than his show counterpart (and incredibly blunt because he doesn’t think before he speaks, which is a trait he shares with his show counterpart). Could he be a gremlin? With his friends when he feels safe, maybe. I believe in “illegal supesoaker builder Blue”, okay, who’s all of 5”0 tall or less but is terrifying when mad and who’s adoptive mom was secretly the mentor to Lady IronDragon back in her day (and who’s biological father constantly sleeps around but this isn’t about Cliff & Blue’s countless secret half-siblings <3)
Anyways point being—
The movie ninja may only have a handful of traits in common with their show counterparts, but a lot of those differences can be traced to differences in the world (the shared modern Ninjago City childhood of the Dorksquad and the access to (mean) civilians, internet, and media vs. the many different upbringings of the show!ninja, many in rural places isolated from other areas or wandering around), differences in family, differences in expectations & skillsets/training, and differences in experiences
Thanks for coming to my ramble lol—

Okay y'all want full targ restoration au? Imagine a story with Rhaenys lives and raised by the Sand Snakes AND instead of Aegon living/Jon joining them give me a bastard Targaryen from either Aerys or Rhaegar combine it with Gendry's botched storyline of being a nobody raised to the throne...
Imagine the idea of this child (Let's call him Jaehaeron, after Jaehaerys I and Daeron II who are considered to be some of the best Targaryen kings). Jaehaeron, grew up a street rat (maybe we'll employ some of the Young Griff storyline and have him be a member of the Golden Company or have him be a sell sword with Daario) and knows the struggle of being lower class and fighting for a way to make something of himself. He's never had a family, anyone he's ever cared about he's lost, either to disease infighting, to the law etc. He's learned that he's just one of those people who doesn't get to be in a family.
Imagine him not knowing who he is, never known family and never wanting any, but he meets Daenerys. He joins her because he believes in her and her cause. He knows what it's like to fight for yourself but he wants to learn how to fight for those who can't do it themselves, and she seems like the right person to learn from. Daenerys knows the minute she sees him. Maybe she dreamt it, maybe she could see the ghost of her brother's in him, maybe blood just calls to blood. In any case, of course she hesitates at first to let him know. She gathers evidence from spies around the world, she studies his intentions/ his mannerisms/ his very heart to make sure that he's not like Viserys. And he's not, he's the first sign of home she's had in a long time. And she becomes his first taste of it, essentially granting him saftey to love people and not get killed over it.
Imagine Rhaenys training with the Snakes, surrounded by home and family, but still feeling like something is missing. Imagine her Uncle Oberyn bringing her news of Daenerys in Meereen. At first she's guilty for wanting to know her but Oberyn reassures her that no one can have too much family, in fact Daenerys across the sea might have too little. So she sets off, with the assurance that the full weight of Dorne is behind her. Imagine her meeting Daenerys, matching title for title and after the following silence grows to be too much Daenerys launches down from her seat and Rhaenys just knows that she's gained another sister. After hearing Jaehaeron's story she just gathers him up in her arms and bawls. While he can't replace Aegon, the hole in her chest labeled brother does shrink a little.
They work flawlessly together. Jaehaeron walks Rhaenys through life in Essos, maybe sprinkles in a little bit of personal stories. Dany and Rhae pour over the Targaryen history and tentatively start making plans for Valyria. Jay pretends to be not paying attention (he is) and he and Dany agree on most things and he actually sits in on a lot of her meetings with her citizens. They all have moments of impulsivity tempered with control, but generally Jaehaeron tends to be the patient one, he tends to wait for all the information to make a final decision. Daenerys has her ideals and her determination to make it happen. Rhaenys is very action oriented but also is aware that forgiveness can sometimes go a longer way than retribution.
He and Rhae both teach Daenerys how to fight. She comes out fighting best with an Arakh, which means after they teach the basics they bring in one of Daenerys' remaining Dothraki to teach her while they learn from Grey Worm (Missandei being taught as well) but generally the stick with the tools of their trades.
Daenerys introduces them to Viserion and Rhaegal and tells them of Drogon. As they grow closer to each other, they do so towards the dragons as well. You'd think Rhaenys would be drawn to Rhaegal but Rhaenys barely remembers her father so it's actually Viserion who she bonds with. In the right light his scales remind her of the sands of Dorne, his fire of the light that filtered through the tent she shared with the snakes, his eyes of each piece of gold she earned from their battles and conquests, and while she never knew Viserys she's not gonna let something like a bad namesake keep her from her dragon. Jaehaeron just thinks that Rhaegal exists to hate him. He shows no sign of interest towards Jay, so much so that it almost gives him a complex about not being a "true" Targaryen. But Jay is persistent. He's there whenever he can be, he's always the one to bring Rhaegal his meals, eventually he's able to get close enough to stroke the neck of Rhaegal and when they look into each other's eyes Jaehaeron realizes that it's not hatred or indifference, it's loneliness that's keeping Rhaegal from bonding with him. From then on Jay is in the line up the pyramid every day, to ask Dany to release the dragons from their cells.
Imagine if when Dany leaves on Drogon Tyrion does not start running things, Jay and Rhaenys do. Rhae judging from her experience and compassion, Jaehaeron from his knowledge on the ground and instincts. They take Tyrion's advice into account but also Missandei's, Grey Worm's, even Oberyn's opinions. Imagine Rhaenys truly getting to know the people, and slowly but surely she starts to fall in love with this land. Imagine Jay training the Meereeneans(?) Because the need to and because he doesn't want to see a single one of his citizens helpless. They follow in Dany's footsteps, ruling as she would, so when the slavers siege (because of course they would) the Targ's are ready for them. When Daenerys returns with the Dothraki she's met with her sister at the head of the Sand Snakes and the soldiers of Dorne. She sees her brother riding with the Second Sons and the Golden Company (who are now convinced honor is as good as gold). The battle for Meereen was over before it began, especially after the dragons join the fray. As soon as it's over Jaehaeron and Rhaenys are ecstatic (and also demand Dany teaches them how to ride).
Imagine if it's Oberyn who brings Olenna to Dany and her cause, and Yara knows Jay from years back so she's even more confident for her cause when she sees him at Daenerys' side. During her time away they managed to comission armor for the dragons and their riders. When Daenerys sets sail for Westeros her siblings are by her side, her dragons are safe above them, her best friends are at her back, and she has some of the wisest minds advising her (including/excluding Tyrion depending on how you feel about him). They have the Dothraki, the Unsullied, a decent amount of Ironborn, the Second Sons(with or without Daario depending on yada yada....), the Golden Company, and the whole Dornish army. They stayed long enough for the new Meereen Guard to have been sufficiently and leaders put in place. The citizen's hearts are behind their Targaryens and they know if they ever even fear trouble they will fly back to assure them.
Imagine that they do take King's Landing first. The dornish get the majority of the lower town evacuated before the gold cloaks even notice. The dragons decimate the scorpions early on, with only glancing blows thanks to the armor. Even the wildfire Cersei throws out as a last resort doesn't stop them and as the trio makes their way to the throne room they have to walk past the what little is left of Cersei's forces. They decide to pardon every soldier who bends the knee, the rest are set to work rebuilding the damage of the siege. Cersei is sentenced to execution, via dragonfire where the Sept of Baelor once stood.
Imagine that the Iron Throne does melt, but only enough to shape into a bench. Just like in Meereen, however this one is long enough to seat three. No arguments, no hesitation, the Targaryens work better as a family anyway.
They rule as one. They leave a small council in charge of King's Landing and set off to the rest of Westeros. They do meet some resistance but no one is strong enough to stand against them, and honestly after meeting them and hearing their vision no one even wants to. Then there's the north.
Depending on how anti stark you are you can visualize the war for the dawn however you like. But imagine them hearing through Jon's story, taking a stealth mission to observe the white walkers themselves. Imagine that in addition to granting them access to Dragonstone they also command soldiers from each kingdom. (Jon is... commanding troops? Attempting to make an alliance that doesn't have him bending the knee) Imagine a fleet of red Priestesses, giving their fire to each soldier (not just the dothraki cause why not??), Jorah fighting with Missandei and Grey Worm, and hiding Bran at the starks head table (which reminds us of Ned and how long it's been for all of them). Imagine not housing the innocents in the crypt (cause they have common sense) and actually send them to the godswood to be protected by some of their own soldiers but also Jay overhead on Rhaegal. Imagine Rhaenys on the front lines with Viserion lighting her way (no walker proof storyline=no Viserion death win-win). Imagine Danerys cutting the wights of from behind, and when spotting the night king she goes to meet him. (However you view the show end to the NK/the prince who was promised prophecy this is gonna Dany, sorry).
Imagine Jaehaeron fighting like hell for Winterfells innocents, dancing through the fire almost as though he's a part of it. Nothing seems to touch him. Imagine Rhaenys cutting through wights like paper, grinning from ear to ear cause she's riding on the battle high and the strength of the Sand Snake around her. Imagine that when Drogon's fire doesn't work, the Night King throws a sword into Dany's child's chest. She pulls it out of his chest plate(again thank you armor) and Drogon lights it ablaze. She meets the monster for blow. Seeing her in danger both Jaehaeron and Rhaenys make their way to her. Imagine the Night King dealing her a viscous blow but getting knocked down by a spear from Rhae and kept distracted by Jay. They give Dany enough time to stab the so called king in the back (mirroring when her father was lost and their kingdom was officially lost to them; all these years later her family is remade and the kingdom is theirs again). As Jon sees them from the remains of the wights, let's pretend no r+l=j or at least he doesn't know and if he found out there's no way he gets enough support to take the throne from them or feel the need to. He decides to bend the knee, only to find that the Targaryens don't really plan on keeping the kingdoms together, as they were anyway.
Being rulers does have its share of problems, especially as they dissolve the country into something more democratic but they make it work. One of them is always in Kings Landing, even with Rhaenys' frequent trips to Dorne and Meereen, Jaehaeron's explorations of Essos and his quest to rebuild Valyria, and Daenerys' continues mission to make every land truly free. They always make time for their people and each other.
And so while Daenerys is the Mother of Dragons she is also the Hero of the People, Rhaenys is the Fierce Queen from Dorne, and Jay is declared Jaehaeron the Fortunate and he cannot find reason to disagree. They each have their titles, their armies, their stories. But they also have each other. After all, the dragon has three heads.

𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒘𝒏𝒆𝒚, 𝐒𝐘𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐋.
❝ yesterday, you were an OLD MAN spitting cherry pits into the weeds. today you are a fisherman’s daughter, dragging small minnow-nets through the 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒔. tomorrow you could be a DOE-EYED dancer, an ash-stained chimney sweep, a beggar singing psalms, anyone. when you lean over the side of the lake, the 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 whisper, be free. taste the air. do you feel the echoes of ancient energies moving into new bodies? they learn of suffering and beauty, again, again. 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐒. ❞
hey, isn’t that SYBILL PATRICIA TRELAWNEY? i read a daily prophet article on them, once ; the forty eight year old halfblood WITCH is a ravenclaw alumnus who has gone on to be the professor of divination at hogwarts school. i’ve heard they can be quite ECCENTRIC & VIVACIOUS, but i don’t know... they came off very RUMINATIVE & HAUGHTY in that interview. it really is hard to know what to believe these days though, isn’t it? click 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 for statistics and 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 for her pinterest.
𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘.
buckle up ! i’m abt to show u guys i can write a short or at least SNAPPY intro.
sybill was born in the seaside town of port isaac in 1972, the product of an affair between her pure blood mommy ( cressida trelawney ) and a muggle daddy ( edwin teague ).
cressida knew abt edwin’s muggle wife. edwin’s muggle wife ( and his daughter eugenia, sybill’s half sibling ) did NOT know about his witchy gf. what happens in btwn the lines of the wizarding world stays within the lines of the wizarding world, ig.
sybill’s dad died p suddenly when she was six, and he didn’t leave anything to either her or her mum, cause... men ain’t shit ! learn it. anyway, sybill’s mum begged her slightly estranged family for like, something, and prob would have got NOTHING if she hadn’t said ‘hey, my daughter is totally the next cassandra ( and also DEFINITELY a pureblood )-’
this changed things a bit, even tho at the time... sybill had not shown any actual prophetic talent, lmao. she was a six yr old playing like, dolls, and trying to bring fishies home from the seashore in glass bottles, u know?
the fam took them back under their wings, and sybill was told to keep her little mouth shut ( in like, a kind of nice way ) about both the fact she was a halfblood ( she prob didn’t conceptualize this one very well at six ) and the fact she was not a seer. she also prob didn’t conceptualize this very well. but playing pretend is something kids LIKE to do, so when cressida told sybill to say some mysterious things and play this role, she took to it immediately ! it was fun !
it stopped being fun PRETTY quickly, but as sybill got older and understood things a bit more, she clued in to the fact that her grandparents and extended trelawney family were quite... uh, to put it mildly, strict. her mum had gone out into the world on her own because she didn’t fit in the box that the trelawney’s had expected her to ( like a lot of pureblood fams ), and sybill was a lot more like cressida than she was the rest of her fam, and she was also, like. way more attached to her than she was them, so while it stopped being a fun game, she still kept to it for her mummy.
got her hogwarts letter. headed off. breathed an actual sigh of RELIEF when she was on the train, cause... she didn’t have to pretend to be something she was pretty sure she wasn’t anymore, and at hogwarts, she wouldn’t have to go through the ‘training’ and ‘lessons’ for her future as a famed seer that her fam were prepping her for. she got sorted into ravenclaw, which tracked ( most of the fam were ), and she just... went abt her life.
i know this is gonna sound wild. but at hogwarts, sybill was... exceedingly ordinary. she was a well behaved young lady who was assumed to be of quality breeding, and though her grandparents spoke highly of their little seer granddaughter to their friends, the kids and grandkids of those people didn’t really ... know much about this. sybill flew pretty far under the radar, and that was how she liked it. she graduated with top marks, turned of age, and started working for her grandparents on a full time basis in the little fortune teller shop they had at this point in time at the divide between knockturn alley and diagon alley - she’d already spent summers with them, so it was just one more step. still, no discernible seer talent.
very appropriately, it all started with death omens. sybill had always faked what she was seeing cause she sort of had to, so she’d always made the future sound pretty bleak - but there’s bleak and then there’s seeing grims wherever she went. a month later, her grandmother ( a woman who sybill could never decide was either a talented seer in her own right or a talented liar also ) was dead. it was sudden, and things seemed to escalate exponentially from here. within a year, her grandfather, an aunt and her own mother had passed on ; and sybill had started to notice. changes.
kinda hard not to notice the fact she was beginning to go to sleep in a very warm and cosy bed and wake up barefoot and naked in the middle of the creek at the bottom of the garden, arms raised to the sky, images seered to the back of her eyelids. sybill consulted dozens of healers. she was given dozens of different potions to aid her sleeping, she was told that she had been through a lot of loss in a short amount of time, it was natural to begin having sleeping issues and the images she saw were only NIGHTMARES, or dreams, or the echo of something normal from her subconscious. the potions didn’t work tho ! the spells, the advice, the grief counselling they sent her to... over the next while, sybill’s life really began to unravel, and she couldn’t understand it, so she definitely couldn’t explain it.
throw everything together and mix some severe money issues in as sybill was never very good at actually running the store and was now dealing with a whole lot of confusing shit - she loses the shop, then the house, and this is what eventually brought her to albus dumbledore, where - haha ! - she made her first ever actual prophecy. fun ! sucks she doesn’t rmbr it <3
sybill got the job based on that, but figured it was cause he liked her a lot ( he didn’t ). life straightens out somewhat, she moves into hogwarts ( did eventually buy a cottage in hogsmeade since she got married and w/e, but is back living in hogwarts now they’re divorced ), she terrifies students for many years over, blah blah blah. makes a second prophecy to harry potter ( doesn’t rmbr that one either ), fights in the battle of the astronomy tower, fights in the battle of hogwarts, yada yada yada.
i won’t say whether she ever thought herself a legitimate seer, or ever learned to think of herself as one, or ever figured that was maybe what her ( still persistent ) sleep walking was. got my thoughts ! think its fun to just leave it at : maybe ! maybe she’s a seer, maybe she’s half of one, maybe she’s a real good liar. she had plenty of practice ! either way, she really embraced her weirdness ( shoutout to mama cressida for teaching her to b weird and love every second of it ) and has spent the past couple decades just straight vibing.
can’t think of anything else to add. come to syb if u want some wizard pot ?
𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒.
SYBILL TRELAWNEY ( sandra oh ) is looking for their EX WIFE / PARTNER who resembles SARAH SHAHI, RENEE ELISE GOLDSBERRY, CARLA GUGINO, SARAH RAFFERTY / ANY FC and should be 45+. applicants do have to contact RACHEL / PETRIICHVRS or DISCORD to talk over the details before applying. ( i’m really open ! mostly because i'm entirely erasing the mr higglebottom thing, so we have so much freedom here in terms of… how they met, when they fell in love, how long they were married, how they’re dealing with the co-parenting thing, etc. sybill really did love them, that much i do know - but the marriage fell apart in my mind, sometime before the battle of hogwarts. maybe during her disastrous fifth year, when professor umbridge was, you know, attempting to ruin her life. i imagine they were a bit more maternal than sybill, and probably entertained / were even quite fond of how eccentric she was for years, but just eventually… got tired of it, or of how she wasn’t really putting their homelife above hogwarts, etc, and love just… was not enough to save ‘em. i think it’d be neat if they were a professor at hogwarts, too - maybe even a canonical one, like aurora sinistra ! - and their cute little staff room moments turned into total awkwardness for everyone else at the school < / 3 )

( you have some choices ! i don’t mind whether they’re biologically her ex wifes, for example, or whether they were adopted, and if so, they absolutely could have been adopted at a later age - in fact, i think it’d be really interesting if they were. they were raised by sybill and her now ex wife, anyway, and would have attended hogwarts - unless… honestly, if u wanted to go a route of them being a squib or something i would be HERE for it - but, really, i don’t think that sybill has been the best of mothers, especially since she’s always been the sort of woman to put her ‘career’ [ which in her case is just, her being a seer ] above all else. she never would have intended to be the absent parent, and i guarantee she’s tried to be the ‘fun one’ moreso than that, but i gotta say. huge believer in acknowledging the faults of my chars. honestly, i feel like kids just aren’t her thing, and the likelihood is she decided to make them her thing for her ex wife - but she relates better to like, fully formed people, and only in more recent years has probably started to try be more of the sort of person they need. whether they’re here for that or no is absolutely up to you ! )

no bc actually im gonna talk about it rn. this is not the plot it's just an infodump about gregor's trauma ngl
that fourteen year old CHILD has so much trauma by the end of book 5. like holy shit. (spoilers ahead ig)
starting at age eleven gregor is fighting battles against giant talking rats right. and they usually want to eat him. and most of the time at least one person is annoyed with him for being unused to the brutality of a world that never made it past sustenance farming and swords and constant territorial wars. like that's all bad enough. but then gregor finds out that his dad who he thought up and left them for no reason is not only alive but being kept in a pit by said giant talking rats, and is horribly sick (mentally and physically) and malnourished. this means that this eleven year old, (who has lowkey been half raising his sisters and taking care of his grandma bc his mom works long hours) now has another person he kinda has to take care of.
in book 2, his (two or three year old) sister gets KIDNAPPED by the giant talking roaches from the underland bc she's allegedly part of a prophecy (the lines that they believe are about her literally say "die the baby" so gregor is less than thrilled about this. this causes another quest. on the dangerous river. into the heart of the gnawers (rats) territory. because gregor has to kill a rat so the rats don't kill his sister. he gets introduced to underland family drama, and watches mites EAT A BAT ALIVE then has to fight a squid or octopus i don't remember which but it leaves him with scars all up and down his arms and THEN he has to JUMP IN A WHIRLPOOL because everyone is going to let one of the rats they brought on the quest drown. then they get where theyre going! yay! but the rats wake up the giant serpents and the serpents break the boat, split the group, and gregor loses his sister and luxa. he thinks theyre dead. he goes to try and kill the rat he's supposed to kill and guess what. the rat is a baby and gregor can't kill him bc the baby reminds him of his baby sister. he goes back to the people in the underland and they're mad at him for not killing an infant. gregor is TWELVE. his sister is alive! yay! he and boots (his sister) go back up to the overland.
in book 3, gregor's family gets chased out of their apartment by rats in their walls until gregor agrees to go back to the underland. gregor's mom goes with bc she's mad. they want him there because surprise surprise, theres another prophecy. there is also a plague. it's basically the black death but yk more brutal bc suzanne does not pull her punches. gregor's flier (bat) ares is sick, and was one of the first to get sick, and this fact is lowkey used as emotional manipulation to get gregor to help the underlanders. gregor's mom gets the plague. gregor starts questing. the creepy sort of psychic gal (nerissa) says she arranged for a guide for this quest, but she did it when she was five. the guide shows up. he's nerissa and luxa's uncle. he killed a bunch of gnawer families and decided that war wasn't for him, actually. he has a son. none of this really applies to gregor's trauma, i just really like hamnet and hazard. anyways. the jungle wants to eat the entire questing party. basically nowhere is safe. they lose most of their food and water somehow and are trapped in the jungle bc one of the fliers who came w them is hurt. after a few days of starving, one of the rats gets eaten by a plant, another gets almost eaten by a plant, and gregor watches this happen. then they find fresh water (yay!) they also find LUXA (who has been living in the jungle with a colony of mice for months) who everyone thought was dead and who is very angry with gregor for not killing the baby rat. gregor and luxa make up, yada yada yada, luxa joins the quest. then the fucking ants show up. the ants are described as being fucking massive, and the questing party has to fight them in an attempt to save what they think is the cure. the questers lose. gregor gets even more scars up and down his arms and legs. gregor is 13, and can never wear shorts or short sleeves again.
books 4&5 are getting lumped together bc they are more or less one storyline. book 4 starts with gregor visiting his mom and ares who are getting better! yay! then luxa gets a message from one of the mice she stayed with and she convinces gregor to go with her to figure out whats goin on. they go to the jungle, fight some snacks, gregor has the horrifying realization that being a rager means he is basically biologically programmed to kill. which is terrifying for a 13 year old to hear, esp when he gets told he was LAUGHING while covered in blood yk. they realize all the mice have been disappearing and end up on a quest to look for them. they find out the mice are getting killed by the rats in the firelands. they lose a bat who was like, a literal baby and it's very sand and traumatizing. gregor and luxa bring the last of the mice back to the city, and book 4 ends. book 5 is where shit gets real, and honestly i know this is gonna be very out of order bc everything starts to blend together here for me. basically the rats have created a code using taps and scratches, as well as a written version in order to communicate about their plans. the humans and rats are now in all out actual war. the humans are trying to solve the code, can't do it, everyone thinks boots (who is literally like three or four) is somehow gonna do it until they realize gregor and boots' sister lizzie exists. lizzie, who has a panic attack thinking about the underland, comes down to the underland to crack the code. at some point during this book gregor gets thrown in a cell by the general of the human army because he disobeyed orders (i think? that might be wrong) but he is in there for long enough that he LEARNS TO ECHOLOCATE (tbf one of the rats (Ripred) has been trying to teach him to do this since he got to the underland the first time and they found out gregor was a rager). later gregor watches the human army pour boiling oil on the rat army, watches the rats overrun the castle, watches several people die in front of him, watches someone have a stroke in front of him upon hearing that his wife died. then gregor goes to fight that baby rat he didn't kill in book 2. that baby rat is now 6 or 7 or 8 feet tall idk and very nearly kills gregor, ripping his chest open. the rat does kill ares, violently. and in front of gregor. all of this happens and then gregor stays in the underland hospital for a few days, then goes home.
the book ends with him staring at his ceiling comptemplating his life and the fact that he can never be normal again, and his mom wants them to move away from everything he's ever known to the family farm in virginia. bc she thinks that will solve literally anything. she is absolutely wrong.
if you made it this far i would literally die for you,
some day i will obsessively explain the entire plot of the underland chronicles by suzanne collins and you guys will all be my captive audience you are not safe
#there are spoilers but the books have been out for at least a decade#gregor the overlander#the underland chronicles#spoilers#here is my infodump#im sorry if anything is wrong it's been a few months since my 26th reread lol#i am SO normal about these books#gregor is literally SO eldest daughter coded#please feel free to ignore this#idk if this makes sense#but i really had to get it out#tldr this fourteen year old has more trauma than i thought tbh#pls tell me if i forgot anything im sure theres multiple things#darn it suzanne

Anonymous said: How do you think the oath itself effected Celegorm's actions?
as in, if it caused him to do stuff he perhaps wouldn’t otherwise have done? here’s the thing that i think, then.
i think the oath had an effect that was, to put it most mildly, not fully understood, but surely not in a way that forced any actions on fëanor and his sons, that they would not otherwise have committed.
pulling back a little, we have the noldor who are, at least after through the general narrative of the silmarillion known as the proudest of the elven tribes. at best, even in valinor they are known to be very ambitious and invested in their particular skills; feanor, and after him his sons, most of all. having that baseline pride certainly opened them up to all that happened after their flight, yada yada.
about the oath, then: they invoked illúvatar’s, and manwë’s and varda’s names, yet i don’t think any of these characters had an active part in its carrying out. almighty as even illúvatar is, swearing the oath to his name did not change his influence in the deeds of fëanor and his children. and despite invoking other names, it was themselves they swore it most to, a promise made—by prideful people—just to keep themselves among themselves to their impossible ( as it turns out ) deeds ahead of them. it’s a stubborn swear, but it moved none of them beyond their own willingness to act.
these are the proud children ( some more, some less ) of an ever prouder father, and that is what truly moved them. that’s why the two silmarils burn maedhros and maglor, because of the evil deeds they committed out of their own convictions; for if the oath had moved them ‘only’ to the things that were necessary to recover the silmarils, i don’t think they could have been held responsible by that ( good/evil-sensing ) power of those gems.
i think what is truly damning and outcome-changing is the doom of mandos. while unnumbered tears and the oath turning against those who have sworn it and their followers are kind of vague but visible prophecies, fenced valinor and ( particularly of the sons of fëanor ) their “dispossession” ( in part the silmarils, which again, is more ambiguous; but in the sense of being kept in the halls of mandos and dispossessed of their bodies it is as much true ) are actual things that are done by the valar to punish them. thus this has affected ( the world ) more, and more truly.
----------
the oath is “dormant” at times, awakened again at other times, which i think is that either the sons of fëanor are more bold in trying to regain the silmarils and then again less. either that is for real tactical reasons or because they frankly just enjoyed conquering and ruling beleriand for a time. ( in my mind some among them certainly had that ambition also, especially after the crown held above their princely heads back in valinor all their lives had now passed to fingolfin’s line. )
tl;dr the oath is at best an excuse to try and reason celegorm’s and his brothers’ gruesome, kinslaying actions; at the least a “told ya i’d do it” but the oath itself doesn’t cause actions. it’s the oathtakers who do what they think they must for not breaking the promise they made in it. yes, eru was invoked, but not even he moved the sons of fëanor to things they might do and not. he heard it, and by his power might not let them break it* but fëanor, their father, seems the greater power they have all sworn to.
( *thus maglor is indeed, in part, doomed by powers beyond himself. beyond eru, because the valar have fenced of valinor for the most par in factt, but also he remains in middle-earth because, having sworn the oath, he as well has told himself that he must try to the end. )
