Actually, I'm feeling productive so I'll just transcribe this here

Techno: Anyways, as I was saying, Phil. You know, I haven't told this to anyone, Phil. But I think... The reason it's so hard for me to be non-violent... It's because I hear voices, Phil. I hear countless voices in my head all the time.

Phil: Voices?

Techno: Yeah. And the voices are crazy, Phil. Sometimes they're angry, sometimes they're sad. Uh, sometimes they mock me. But the thing about the voices, Phil, the one thing they- the one- the one thing I hear from them the most... The voices demand blood, Phil. They demand blood.

Phil: Yeah... Yeah. That's uh- I remember that being a thing that just happened with you a lot. It's- You've always- You just got better at ignoring them.

Techno: I've been trying to ignore them lately, Phil. But they're just so loud. They're just so loud, Phil, I just-

Phil: It's because they're not being fed.

Techno: I just want to stab something... But I'm holding back, I'm holding back. I'm going to be a good person, Phil. I'm gonna be a good person, alright?

I know I said I had no character analysis to make with this post and I still don't really, but it is an absurd amount of times repeating a name back at a person if you're engaged in a conversation with just them and nobody else is around. Obviously, this could just be ccTechno's RP style or whatever, but if I had to give an in-character justification, I think it is a bit funny and makes sense if cTechno does it because of chat. He's never having a conversation with just one person, technically, if Chat is always around. So it can just be a habit to clarify who he is addressing since he talks directly to Chat sometimes too.

Alternatively, he seems to do this more during serious, high emotion or high tension exchanges. So maybe it's like, a way for him to express himself more clearly? Like, Techno is very used to not being listened to and all, maybe he's trying to convey extra properly. ADHD quirk fr /hj

Watched some assorted dsmp Techno clips and it struck me how often he says the name of the person he's talking to. I think it's one of those fun character quirks that is very hard to incorporate into writing because it /reads/ a little silly but it very much is something I relate to the c!Techno voice so to speak. He'll be talking to Ranboo or Phil and constantly repeating their name back at them every other sentence while addressing them. It's interesting.

If you want a very good example just look up a clip or any animatic of the boat conversation where Techno tells Phil about the voices btw
