in the realm of like, rich kid problems, I want to someday read/write a fic where Nightwing is slowly establishing himself as a full-fledged JL member and everyone is relieved because finally, there's a nice Bat on the Watchtower who doesn't just shoot down their plans and deny their mission requests. but. while Nightwing is kind, and polite, and charming in all the ways the Bat isn't, he's still Dick Grayson. and Dick Grayson grew up as a very rich kid's suddenly very rich kid, which is to say while Bruce might not take it personally, Dick has been fending off people almost his entire life who were trying to use him for his Dad's money. which is to say, I think once Nightwing is on board and the relationship between him and Batman is at least somewhat well-known, there is suddenly a rush of younger, less-experienced members trying to take advantage of Nightwing, mistaking that kindness and openness for willingness to either voluntarily, or involuntarily, infringe upon and cross Batman's clear-cut boundaries. bribing Dick for a better monitor shift with Batman is one thing (it doesn't really work, Dick can't bribe Bruce with much as it is) but trying to convince Nightwing to lie to Batman? to go against him? his dad? the man who pulled him up when he had nothing and gave him meaning again? that man?? and then comes the inevitable, chilling realization, that while Nightwing might wear a different mask, might wear an open smile on the Watchtower and with friends off-shift, there are some lines he won't cross, same as Bruce. he won't, sure as the sun rises and the rot rolls off the Gotham Harbor in the morning.

The Lies we tell ourselves

We're starting off with a poem where the title changes everything. All of my non-bts-inspired poetry is untitled, (them being untitled is so dear to me that I've even thought about tattooing "untitled" on my shoulder as both a memory of my poetry and an homage to RM's 'Still Life') but I thought it would be fun to play around with titles for this collection.

This is my first time posting poetry online (minus one very angsty poem on poetry.com when I was 13) and I am very nervous. But I am busy for the next week, which means I can forget I did this. hah

I think it's pretty obvious what and who inspired this; can you guess the member?

So, a lot of fans theorize that something happened between First and Khaotung on that Rome trip because afterwards, they’ve seemed a lot more touchy-feely towards each other, but I’m gonna be honest with you…I don’t see it.

Using the picture they posted last night as an example, they’ve been doing that same kind of stuff for as long as I can remember. You can literally find them in that exact same position in this video from the PoddKhao era.

I think what’s changed, if anything, is them simply being more willing to be photographed in their natural state and the reason that became so obvious during the Rome fanmeet was that they were on vacation with their closest friends in a country where they’re not famous. They could be themselves without having to worry about fangirls losing their minds.

This is actually a phenomenon I’ve seen across the industry over the past year where it seems like artists—especially queer artists—are allowing the public to see more of their true selves and my personal theory is that this is a response to same-sex marriage being legalized in Thailand. From Billy and Babe unabashedly being naked in bed, to Mos posting very obvious pictures of him waking up next to Bank, to Earth and Mix officially moving in together with their army of cats, the atmosphere in Thailand seems to be changing for the better.

For what it's worth, my take on the suspected shooter is this:

If this is the guy who did it, good for him. I may disagree with a lot of his politics, but hey. Actions are what counts. I hope that he can get off on light charges from a good lawyer and a jury that understands its rights.

If this ISN'T the guy who did it, I still don't really care about his politics. That's an innocent man who's about to be put through the wringer for no other reason than the police wanting to look good. If this isn't him, they picked a random guy, planted evidence, and are now accusing him of murder just so they don't have to look as incompetent as they are.

It's far too early to know which it is right now, but in either case his politics fundamentally Do Not Matter. This is either a man who has taken some genuinely incredible actions, or someone deliberately framed by a deeply corrupt police department. Who gives a shit what he posts on Twitter
