And now its being reported as her being at fault and refusing to answer a question... WHEN HER MICROPHONE WAS TAKEN AWAY.

Remember this next time you hear someone say "The Democrats aren't doing anything" or "Why don't they stand up to Republicans".

And it is doubly insulting to Michelle Obama that the same MAGA folks who were okay with Trump and Melania refusing to attend Biden's inauguration are the ones who are outraged at Michelle's decision.

Let's not forget, Trump attempted a coup, and in any other developed democratic republic would not have been allowed to run for office again--and most likely would be doing jail time or be in exile.

Given that--ALL of the former presidents and first ladies should have refused to attend the traitor Trump's inauguration in protest.

Michelle is the only one who was strong enough to do the right thing.

Hello, I know I’ve been gone for a while, but I received a lot of hate for not staning a side character and I had to take a break. Now though, I don’t care.

The obsession with BuckTommy as a couple is pretty much fetishization and misogyny bc I'm 100% sure that if Tommy had been a female love interest, his stans wouldn't have been so obsessed with the relationship and would’ve hated every single thing he did last season.

Buck’s coming out as bi should be the focus, but as always, such an important storyline gets reduced to a rushed relationship and a obsession for a side character with not enough background to fill a napkin.

Buck being bi doesn't mean he has to end with the first guy he kisses or that people have to like whatever he has going with Tommy, especially when he’s had so little development that his characterization is whatever head canon you guys gaslight yourself into and think that makes him the best gay character ever. Y’all really went insane over those cameos.

I don’t think you guys really care about good, well crafted, quality narrative representation of queer relationships, you only care about flaunting around your canon surface level ship. It’s pretty obvious why a lot of Bucktommy blogs used to be Buddie accounts in the months prior. It’s bc y’all only cared about Buck messing around with any guy he could find. A white man specifically.

The negativity towards Buck and Eddie skyrocketed from "They won't be canon, Eddie is straight" to the absolute extreme with "Why not just have Eddie die so Tommy and Buck can raise Chris?" The increase in blatant racism using shipping as a cover is incredibly sad.

A lot of you had no issue with Tommy, a white man randomly appearing again being revealed to be queer or Buck’s coming out but the idea of Eddie, a mexican man with catholic guilt and failed relationships with women, is too insane to happen somehow. And let’s not get into the “theories” about how Eddie, a latino man, is gonna side with Gerrard’s racism because of a mustache but Tommy’s active bigotry towards Chim and Hen during season 2 should be ignored because “he changed”. I wonder WHITE that is...?

saw alyns speech to corlys in gifs and realized the showrunners erased Marilda being a successful merchant woman with her own wealth.

like damn, Alyn and Addam never went cold or hungry because their mother was a successful independent buisness owner who provided for her kids and never needed Corlys and his money to givethem a good life, and HotD decided to erase that to ruin Corlys' character even more.

Sam is the co-lead of the series, per Rolin, Mark, and all the actors, and after Jacob, he's the one critics mention the most (the whole cast is super acclaimed obviously, but in terms of who gets singled out). The whole cast is great, but it's not racism for them to prioritize their two lead male actors (and Sam is still the co-lead even if he had less screentime this year, just like they still kept Jacob and Sam together in interviews because they are the leads, and they will next year too when Sam is the lead and Jacob is the co-lead). If IWTV were a show like Succession or GOT or whatever, they could push more actors. But people are expecting them to push Assad for nominations when realistically, Jacob and Sam are the only ones who remotely have a shot in their categories, as great as the whole cast is. This isn't about everyone getting a turn, it's about who the show's leads and most prominent actors are.

see now i had to pause GNX to respond to this tell me how i knew somebody was going to act up in my inbox, smh. anon. sit with me for a bit. i have been here since the first time AMC had a chance to put up Assad for consideration for several supporting noms and did not. i rode that wave i saw the backlash among those of us who were wise enough to see what was happening and the way we were dogpilled on by folks who claimed we were making everything about Assad. then ofc round two happened and they skipped Jacob and Delainey and the same folks who were talking shit suddenly started crying foul when it's been foul but uh. that's a convo that i've beaten till it died i ain't going back there.

the point of my post (that you seemed to have missed) was not that they shouldn't have put their two lead actors forward for consideration. it is the constant deliberate neglect of submitting Assad's name in anything (followed closely by Delainey) while continuing to use his scenes and breakout performance in s2 to promote the show. if you care about your white co-lead's performance then you use the fucking promo from the fucking eps that he's in for a significant amount of time. you do not cop the hard work of your cast of color to hopefully get awards and then not give them the time of day to submit them for a little something. 2x5 was Jacob and Assad (& Luke)'s ep and we know this. 2x8 was Jacob and Assad (& Delainey bc iirc this is the wrap-up to the trial, unless i'm wrong and we didn't get any of her screentime after 2x7)'s ep and we know this. they wanted tangible Sam screentime they should have offered up 2x7 where the bulk of the trial (and by extension Lestat) actually is. it's like if i as a fellow student take time out of my day and volunteer to tutor you and you turn the final result in as yours and don't even acknowledge that i fucking led you through how many study sessions. it's that one kid doing the group project for the rest of y'all and then y'all get credit for shit you didn't do bc it full well was not a team effort. before s2 aired Assad was on buildings and promo content and interviews and then it dropped just as the genocidal acts in Gaza started ramping up and it wasn't fashionable anymore to let an obviously Islamic coded name get into print as one of the stars of the show—notice how they went dead silent? notice how most critics reviews always mention Sam (Dreamstat) over Assad (Armand) or Delainey (Claudia) or even Jacob (THEE titular vamp)? we know what it's giving and honestly if you don't i think you need to sit with that shit for a little bit
