Walked in on my little brother was watching an old dream manhunt video. He said "Look, this was our favourite one. With the cool boat jump. I wanted to watch it again its been so long."

My brother is 12 and has no idea of the dream situation, he just knows I used to be a fan of dream's videos and wanted to rewatch the ones I'd shown him back when I was his age. I watched the rest of it with him, saw his face light up at every dramatic chase and crazy twist, and it damn near made me cry.

This thing. This stupid fucking block game played by a shitty person and his friends. This is what I got attached too. Got my little brother attached too. I had to listen to him sing dream's praises throughout the whole video, parroting exactly what I'd told him years earlier. I didn't have the heart to tell him to stop. Because I knew exactly what he would say. He'd say exactly what I would have said.

I honestly feel disgusting. I feel horrible that I let that man's content on my tv. I feel horrible that I got my brother into his content. I feel horrible about the dream hoodie still sat at the bottom of my cupboard, because I'm too much of a coward to get rid of it. I tried to deny to myself for ages that dream was a bad person. I desperately didn't want someone who's content had genuinely made my life better to be a bad person. I'm wiser and honestly more cynical now, but my little brother isn't. I don't know what to tell him when he asks why I don't watch dream with him anymore. I don't have the heart to ruin it for him, like it was ruined for me. Because of this disgusting man who I fanboyed over for so long. I am so fucking done.

Also like. People saying that he should've responded from a friend perspective, does he really? Maybe somewhere along the lines quackity realized he didn't want to be friends with someone's who's continually made racist jokes (one of which being giving George a Trump flag for Christmas. Actually so done with Dream. He's a good person, but hes also an erratic dick. I enjoyed the Dream SMP, but im just so sick of how because hes so popular, everything that includes him becomes about him.

Squid Craft 2 was not about Dream, the asshole who got into a spanish talking event and didnt say a word in spanish. It was about literally EVERYONE ELSE.

QSMP shouldnt be remembered as the smp that Dream copied, and USMP better not fucking start anytime soon.

I'm going to be super gentle with you right now because I feel like this is a pretty common mindset amongst dream fans. but his apologies don't have to be accepted by anyone. I don't accept his apologies for the harm he's caused to people of colour, to disabled people, to queer people etc. he also has specific victims (be it from him or him sending his fans after them) who have been stalked, doxxed and harassed who you cannot force to accept apologies from him. he's been accused of grooming, he's been proven to be racist, he's been proven to queerbait (see: his absence from streaming during pride in which he promised all his streaming donos during that month would go to lgbtq+ charities, and when he was live, he turned donations off), he's been proven to be ableist and insensitive.

'drama' is none of those things. his 'drama' is the shit between he and quackity, or he and tommyinnit, or he and whichever youtuber he decides to send his fanbase after. none of the above paragraphs accusations are 'drama', they are harmful and extreme incidents in which dream repeatedly used the forgiveness of his relatively young audience (though I can't speak for any adult who still supports him) as a get out of jail free card.

I need you to go outside, or develop some critical thinking skills before you return to this blog. if you actively search out blogs with content you dislike, don't be upset when you find something that upsets you
