Walked in on my little brother was watching an old dream manhunt video. He said "Look, this was our favourite one. With the cool boat jump. I wanted to watch it again its been so long."

My brother is 12 and has no idea of the dream situation, he just knows I used to be a fan of dream's videos and wanted to rewatch the ones I'd shown him back when I was his age. I watched the rest of it with him, saw his face light up at every dramatic chase and crazy twist, and it damn near made me cry.

This thing. This stupid fucking block game played by a shitty person and his friends. This is what I got attached too. Got my little brother attached too. I had to listen to him sing dream's praises throughout the whole video, parroting exactly what I'd told him years earlier. I didn't have the heart to tell him to stop. Because I knew exactly what he would say. He'd say exactly what I would have said.

I honestly feel disgusting. I feel horrible that I let that man's content on my tv. I feel horrible that I got my brother into his content. I feel horrible about the dream hoodie still sat at the bottom of my cupboard, because I'm too much of a coward to get rid of it. I tried to deny to myself for ages that dream was a bad person. I desperately didn't want someone who's content had genuinely made my life better to be a bad person. I'm wiser and honestly more cynical now, but my little brother isn't. I don't know what to tell him when he asks why I don't watch dream with him anymore. I don't have the heart to ruin it for him, like it was ruined for me. Because of this disgusting man who I fanboyed over for so long. I am so fucking done.

Everything coming out right now is so genuinely disgusting. He admitted the videos are real. Even if he hadn’t, there’s undeniable proof that he’s had strange and intimate relationships (sexual and otherwise) with minors in his fanbase.

I’m done with this blog. I’m done trying to defend him. There’s no world in which this is okay to brush over for the sake of the “sunk cost fallacy” support in which I’ve been giving.

Reminder once again that if you stan or support Dream in any way you are not welcome here and genuinely need to get help. I've seen how much some people are trying to defend him in any way, including isolating themselves, and I don't wish that upon anyone

I have not and will not ever associate or know much about the dsmp or anything to do with it, but those allegations were enough to dissuade me when they came out (not that I particularly had any interest in it anyway tbh). Now that he's made a video about them with literally no proof to exonerate himself, this is even more my stance.

If you support him in any way get help and stop and look the situation or prepare to be blocked by many people, myself included.

the issue with the dream smp being named after dream is that . its too narratively fitting to change. it is Dream's smp. and that has the unfortunate consequence of it being named after a scumbag and all of the legendary acclaim and art it gave us being directly linked to him just by name alone. but narratively . its c!dream's smp. "its not Tommy's smp or Tubbo's smp!" HE WAS RIGHT. ITS NOT. THAT IS THE ENTIRE DRIVE OF THE CONFLICT. OF HIS CHARACTER. IT WAS HIS SMP. and now he's just an owner of nothing . of some land but of no subjects. he never had the control wilbur or schlatt or even fucking tubbo had. the server is named after him. so what? there is nobody around him that earnestly depends upon him. nobody that cares. this is All he has. a name. a title. hollow and empty.
